My partner doesn’t read fic but I just explained the entire plot of Dead Man’s Party to her and now we would like to know: do you have headcanons for the Bats’ Hebrew names?

I don’t actually! I’ve always hc’d Bruce’s as being Baruch (Hebrew: בָּרוּךְ‎) but haven’t stopped to think about the others.

I think Yaakov fits Jason really well — not just because it’s another J-name, but because Yaakov wrestled with something life changing (wink wink) and came back with a new name and a changed destiny.

As for the others, I would have to noodle a little longer.

I monch on abusive Bruce content spreading on main from last night but suddenly I crave violently protective parent Bruce as well 😭 like, can you imagine him realizing his 15 or so yo ward is missing when they went to some snobbish charity gala and Bruce got too distractes with people and then he finds him pressed to the wall behind bathrooms by drunken perv?? Dick's pupils bliwn wide, his head lolling uselesslly even though he's trying to fight whatever he was drugged with, his brave boy? just Bruce in absolute blind rage feeling murderous

Tbh I hc that so many of things like that happend to Dick and not others because on Dick Bruce was learning how to parent in general and that kids, no matter how brave and strong, need protection at all cost + with every new kid there was another big sibling to protect them

God YES to all of this! Bruce beating the guy to a PULP, not caring about his image. Bruce being suddenly reminded how he could lose Dick, in any way. Bruce trying to comfort Dick but failing miserably because he doesn't know how to comfort a child. Bruce feeling guilty over how he raised Dick and vowing not to commit the same mistakes with the others. Bruce being obsessively protective of Dick because he always feels like he is not doing enough.

I think they would def have a very strained relationship as Dick becomes older and starts wanting to be his own hero, because Bruce is overprotective and refuses to let him out of sight while also regularly pushing him away from the whole hero thing in an attempt to protect him. They would def reconcile when Dick becomes an adult, in part because Dick has his own life now but also because Bruce is getting better at being a parent.

Bruce

The weight of Bruce’s mistakes hangs over his head every day, but his mistakes with you are by-far the heaviest.

He should have appreciated you more. He should have told you what you meant to him. Instead, he let you feel invisible. It kills him.

When you’re spotted in Gotham years later, he can hardly believe it.

He’ll drop everything and go straight to you, deploying all the boys to ensure you don’t slip away. If it’s daytime, Bruce Wayne will make a rare appearance and corner you with paparazzi, and if it’s nighttime, then Batman will swipe you off the streets before you can cry out.

He’ll forgive every outburst you give. You’re furious and he understands—he considers your anger entirely his fault so he’ll give you a lot of slack.

Bruce will drown you in gifts. Because Batman takes up so much time (and it was lack of attention that drove you away in the first place) he’ll try every means at demonstrating his love. Gifts, vacation homes, front row seats to events (with strict supervision).

This version of Bruce would keep you under 50 cameras and a body guard at all times, but he’s also very conscious of your mental health. Where he’d be able to guiltlessly lock you up forever if he hasn’t neglected you, he can’t in this timeline. Your life would be heavily supervised, but you’d also get a lot of perks.

He would make a routine with you.

Every morning, he’d eat breakfast with you, and every Friday would be a special dinner with just the two of you. His hours are valuable so it means a lot for him to carve out the time just for you.

Dick Grayson

Dick prides himself on his strong leadership and generosity. Ask anyone whose ever met Dick to describe him, and they could list pages of positive traits. So it's a wonder how you, his precious little darling, managed to be overlooked by him.

Guilt literally eats him alive. Dick begins to second-guess every interaction with you, going over all clues he might have missed. He throws himself into the investigation looking for you, investigating every single fact you've ever mentioned about yourself.

When you finally return, he's dead-set on making up for lost time.

Dick wouldn’t approve of your reasoning for leaving. You should have told him--should have insisted on being heard--instead of leaving. He feels terrible that you were neglected, but he feels worse knowing that you’d rather be thrown to the wolves than seek their help.

It's a steep learning curve for him to realize you're not the lonely child you once were, but instead a bitter, jaded young adult who confides in only themself.

Dick drowns you in attention. He tries forcing your innocence back, not accepting your refusals and anger. You're still so young, and even if the sparkling child-like hope is missing from your eyes, Dick still believes he can make things right.

Family bonding time is a must. He arranges play-time with you and Damian. He insists on Sunday movie nights. He learns how to cook new dishes with you and Alfred. He will keep you busy.

These activities are only a surface solution for a deeper problem. Fundamentally, you've changed, and Dick knows this. He has no idea how to treat you now, so he resorts to what he does know--your childhood he missed out on.

Jason Todd

Jason is particularly torn. He knows what its like to feel abandoned, yet he realized too late that he was the perpetrator.

When you are finally back in the arms of the Batfamily, Jason has no idea what role to take in your life. He sees you turning down the family when they offer love and he doesn't know if his heart could take your rejection.

Jason is stand-offish. Playing the role of "tough older brother" doesn't bode well, so he needs time to rework his philosophy on handling siblings.

Instead, he does your bidding. He would help fix whatever unprecedented reasons that led you to return to Gotham, no questions asked. If you need to pass a letter on to a friend, Jason is your guy. His regular possessive yandere tendencies are hampered by his guilt, so he'll be very lenient with you as long as it's nothing dangerous.

The fact that you escape and survived by yourself cast you into a new light in Jason’s eyes. He thinks you’re impressive, dependable, capable. He wonders how he didn’t see it sooner.

That being said—you’re his little sibling. You shouldn’t have to be so strong, and Jason wants to ensure you’ll never have another reason to protect yourself.

He hopes that over time, you'll trust him. He wants to be able to sit with you and talk about whatever is on your mind, to be able to hug you as he leaves for work, and to send you off to bed when it's late.

But right now, you need space. He'll let you heal, and he'll take whatever anger you give him. Because he knows that this is the only way you'll let him into your life again.

Bonus: Y/N

Considering Y/N was clever enough to escape the Waynes while also having the willpower to return to Gotham shows that they’re intelligent, good-hearted, and forged from steel.

They probably rank somewhere between lawful-good to chaotic-neutral. (A lawful-neutral would be infuriated by the Waynes’ underhanded tactics, and probably wouldn’t return to Gotham.)

Y/N is done yearning for attention (or, if they were originally kidnapped, done with playing nice), so they’re immune to the Batfam’s manipulation.

Upon first glance at the Batfam after all those years, they’d immediately go fight or flight. Y/N would pull every dirty trick in the book to escape, and would be as hateful as possible to kill any affection they have for them.

After being kidnapped, Y/N gets very good at playing mind games and deflecting their submission tactics. They’d be able to manipulate the household like a giant game of chess.

Y/N’s only weakness is the child inside of them that still cries for their family’s approval.

The conflict revolves around how the Batfam can extort this weakness vs. how well Y/N can stay true to their values.

* Cross-checked the regular menu and seasonal menu to make sure there were things you’d like and conformed to your dietary preferences

* Surprises you with flowers and a big ticket high-fashion item like a Luis Vuitton bag or a pair of shoes

* When he hands it over the shocked look on your face makes him smile.

* You shower him with kisses in a second.

* He laughs at the ticklish feeling and kisses you back when it’s over.

Jason Todd

* He hates crowds and decides to make you a nice pleasant meal at home.

* He decided the menu over a month ago, a full four course meal with curated cocktails, wine and ambiance.

* He ‘borrows’ some fine dining dishes from the manor and sets the table up with candles and a bouquet of flowers.

* “Do you like it?” He asks, nervous and afraid—he cooks for himself all the time but cooking for you makes him afraid beyond belief

* What if you don’t like it? What if you have a secret allergy? What if you never want to talk to him again because he didn’t take you out like a traditional date?

* “I love it! The risotto is so good and, are these truffles?”

* Afterwards he gives you some books he knows you want or that you would like and pressed flower bookmarks that he made himself.

* “Jason Todd, you are my entire heart.”

Tim Drake

* He forgets.

* “I thought Valentine’s Day was always on Thursday!” He shrieks, flipping through the phone book for any restaurant that’ll take you.

* “That’s Thanksgiving Tim.”

* But it’s okay—

* “Shit, you think dominos will still deliver today?” You shout from the other side of the room.

* —because you forgot too.

* You have pizza in bed while watching movies and cuddling.

* “This isn’t the worst right?” He asks.

* “Any day with quality time with you is a good day.” You mumble after a yawn, cuddling into his chest as he flushed bright pink.

Duke Thomas

* Classic Dinner and a Movie

* You guys haven’t been dating for long so he doesn’t want to scare you off with anything intense.

* You end up goofing around too long at the arcade connected to the movie theatre and missing your reservation slot.

* You end up getting soft pretzels and sitting by the lake.

* “Honestly, I think this is way better than eating at a French restaurant.”

* He laughs, “any time with you is a good one.”

Damian Waybe

* It’s a three person date — You, Damian, and Titus.

* You go for a walk around the lake, playing with Titus and jokingly splashing each other, and then a picnic on the grassy bluff above.

* “It’s pretty quiet today, huh?”

* “Everyone’s probably at the new french restaurant downtown.” He holds out a dipped strawberry for you which you bite into.

* “The one you can pronounce?”

* You laugh at his frown, pressing a kiss to his cheek, only to laugh again when Titus nudges you with his nose and places his head in your lap with a wagging tag.

* “Of course I didn’t forget you, kisses for Titus too!”

Bonus:

Bruce Wayne

* Wines and dines and sixty-nines you

* He’s probably got a standing reservation at the best restaurant in the city on account of the fact that he’s richer than god

* Gets a private room or balcony that overlooks the city so you have privacy but also the glitz and glam of a night out

* Already called ahead of time and got the chef to make your favorite dinner—just for you

* As a gift he gives you six orgasms in a row a cute little diamond accessory with his initial in gold.

Yandere Batman Nightwing Red hood red Robin and older damin x baby half dragon reader where the reader is DNA mix with a actually dragon and how they raise her and how they whole family some how don't age anymore. And they found her in a lab

The Dark Knight and his Family have faced things that seemed to be out of this world and wondered if this night was going to be a normal night when they got news of a Geneticist getting their hands on samples of DNA that was red-flagged. The Batman and his Batboys rushed off to stop them from making any more Meta-Humans to rob the people of Gotham...but what they found in that place was something out of a fantasy.

Sitting in an egg-shaped incubator was a humanoid figure with greyish scales, large wings that curled around them, a long tail, as well as a set of horns that rested on their hairline.

Batman looked at the infant in the egg-shaped machine with wide eyes while his sons looked around the room: Damian looked through a file called 'Project Draco: Combining Dragon DNA with Human Genetic Code'; this confirmed that the creature in the machine was mixed with the blood of an ancient beast.

Jason and Dick looked through the supercomputer for even more information about Project Draco and found that when this child was around the age of 18-21, they were going to be able to turn into a massive dragon at will but it wasn't gonna be sure if they were gonna turn back or be able to control the beast; but Bruce was gonna make sure.

Batman sent the incubator in 'Traveling Mode' before collecting the machine in his arms - leaving his sons to arrest the geneticist and capturing all of the information on [Reader] before deleting all the data so that no one else would be able to take it and use it again.

At the Batcave, Bruce and his son worked on making a new section in the cave for training. It would be weeks before [Reader] woke up in the egg and began flapping their wings - Bruce began teaching [Reader] who to speak and be human before they grew to decent ages and the dragon training began.

Damian would teach [Reader] to use their claws as weapons and their scales as defensive guards.

When flying, Jason would shoot rubber bullets at [Reader] to teach them how to dodge in mid-air in the heat of combat.

Nightwing taught [Reader] how to use the staff and taught them about teaching along with Oracle so that they knew just what to watch out for if there was a bomb nearby and how to sniff it out with their senses.

Everyone in the Batfamily loves their Dragonoid Sibling and would do anything to keep the world's dragon safe and happy...and most importantly - with them.
