Takeaways from my mentor
I meet with my mentor as and when he’s available. He manages my family’s money and he’s very good at what he does - his firm manages about $5 billion, and I have great conversations with him.
I don’t want to talk too much about him, but he came from a lower middle class background and today is wealthy beyond comprehension. He could buy a plane or two in the middle of the night if he wanted.
Today we focused a lot of personal growth in my career.
He gave me two books - The Inheritors by Sonu Bhasin and Fortune’s Children by Arthur Vanderbilt.

Here are some brief takeaways:
Work backwards from the outcome you want.
Define the outcome of where you want to be and plan it backwards to your current position.
2. Eliminate, eliminate, eliminate.
Life is all about elimination. Don’t focus  on your weaknesses, focus on your strengths. Eliminate all the things you know you’re not good at, you have no interest in and that make you depressed.
3. Intellectual honesty.
Be honest with yourself about things you are good at and are not.  The easiest person to fool is yourself.
4. Read one business biography a week.
Everything you’re going in life, there’s a 99% chance someone else has gone through it and come out of it victorious. He also mentioned this article.
5. Outline 3 strengths and 3 weaknesses.

6. (In business/ corporate careers) You’re either primarily an investor (you’d rather fund companies and start ups than start them), an operator (you’d rather build something hands on), or a manager (you’d rather periodically manage something hands off. Like for instance you could have your own franchise bakery chain where you don’t need to exercise minute control over every franchise but you still ensure that there’s some managing done from your part).
7. Do not have extreme ideologies at this age.
Not when it comes to religion, politics, etc.
8. Emotions, money and your time are something you need to be ruthless about. Absolutely ruthless.
Be careful about the friends you have and the influence they have on you.

Bring your sidekick to work day!
Inspired by the "What if Question was the one who saves Danny from GIW?" post that I made awhile ago.
Bring your sidekick to work day!
It was a tradition that started around the time multiple superheroes were taken on sidekicks. Everyone in the league knew why they'd bring their sidekicks to work. Their sidekicks get to socialize with peers their own age and they could properly introduce themselves to other heroes.
So it was a surprise when The Question, the league's faceless conspiracy theorist, offhandedly mentioned that he'll be bringing his sidekick to work while telling them about what new information he's found about Cadmus and another new government agency he thought they should start looking into.
The heroes found it hard to believe.
Question has a sidekick.
Surely they must have misheard.
No way that guy would want a sidekick, let alone get a sidekick.
When "Bring your sidekick to work day" arrived everybody was prepared to see the heroes and sidekicks.
Superman with Superboy
Batman and his 10+ kids
Wonder Woman and Wonder Girl
Flash and Kid Flash
The list went on
The heroes all mingle before realizing that they haven't seen Question. Maybe they did mishear the man? Or Question got his words mixed up?
That was until the computer announced the arrival of Question and a guest that was unidentified.
They all turn around to see the faceless trench coat wearing investigator followed by a tinier faceless trench coat wearing kid. The kid was practically a clone of Question, except...tinier.
"This is my sidekick. Who." Question points to the faceless kid
Flash: Who?
"That's me!" the kid says pointing to himself.
"Why don't you acquaint yourself with the others." Question tells his sidekick who just nods and goes off to introduce himself with the others kids.
Batman: I didn't take you one for having a sidekick.
Question: I could say the same for you. And the sidekick thing just kind of happened. The kid wouldn't leave me alone and I couldn't let the kid get himself into any trouble.
Batman: Understandable
Meanwhile with the sidekicks.
Everybody's asking Who various questions about Question and how he met the man. They barely know anything about the guy.
Question 1: What's the deal with your name?
Who: It's a work in progress. Since my mentor's name is Question. I figured my name should be like a question.
Question 2: How do you eat?
Who: I shove food into my face
Question 3: Where's your face?
Who: Wouldn't you like to know
Question 4: Do you know about his conspiracies?
Who: Of course I know about his conspiracies! I'm one of them
Other sidekicks: What?
After some talking, the sidekicks get along with each other very well. When they reunite with their mentors the computer rings stating that John Constantine was coming along with a guest.
The heroes then all watched as a girl with white hair and green eyes wearing a trench coat and was dragging John Constantine by his sleeve. She grins and introduces herself as Dani with an "i" and that she's John's apprentice.
Dani then spots Who and they immediately do the Spider-man point at the other meme
Who (Danny): you got a trench coat mentor too?!
Dani: Where's your face?!

Finding a Mentor for Career
The right mentoring can be proved as the most influential and effective tool for career growth.
It can help you to get a new dream job, promote you to a leadership or manager role, and establish a work-life balance in your life.
To find a mentor for your career who can make your professional journey better every day, you can follow the steps:
Define your goals first and understand why you need mentorship.
Identify your job profile and which profile or position in the next few years you would wish to be on.
Find a person who is already in the position today you dream of being in future.
Always surround yourself with people who have expertise in their professions.
Don't expect your mentor to become your employer.
Make a list of questions related to your career and ask your mentor.
Meet in person with your mentor or can have a video communication.
Focus on your goals during mentoring sessions as a mentee.
Set an agenda for each meeting and ask questions.
Always take feedback, build a habit of accepting negative feedback and improve yourself.
Try to take most of the mentoring session.

The whumpee needed to be trained if they wanted to be the whumper’s sidekick- so they did. The whumper’s training was brutal, leaving them exhausted and injured every time- the whumpee sometimes thought that it wasn’t worth it, but the hero was a legend, and they didn’t want to give up their opportunity because of the pain they went through.

Pls help how do you draw eyess(or faces in general)💀💀 like what do you dooooo help my faces always look so weird and the same whenever I draww
Hi !
I'm learning with Proko classes but he has a Youtube channel with free cool lessons for beginners (perspective, shading, construction lines) he does have lessons for the head too I believe ! Of course, drawing your faves on the side, many times, helps.
It's very important to understand the basics first. I also do figure drawing too thanks to this website ➡️ https://line-of-action.com/
I also have the Michel Lauricella Morpho book that I have since I'm 21 (he also did one for the clothes, it's really nice)⬇️
When it comes to style unfortunately there's nothing more I can do, you make it, as you go 🎨🖌️I'm sure you have favourite movies, shows, books, artists, good strong influences that can help you craft it. The best way to get better at drawing is to have solid knowledge of your fundamentals. Understand how it works, why the bones are build that way and why they're called that way too ! (same thing for the muscles !) You can't draw something if that something doesn't have a name. Identify your weaknesses, keep pushing and working ! You'll see, it pays off ! ⬇️ (there's the Proko channel link down there)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another very important advice would be to keep a sketchbook and fill it with doodles (no pencil !! only marker) we humans have this reflex of erasing our mistakes and then not learning ! Using a marker allows us to draw, fail, fail even more until we're on our knees crying, asking for mercy. But it's good, failure is good. Failure means you're learning, it's proof of your artistic journey. Like footprints. I understand fear can hold you back too but you can't do anything with nothing. You're not trying to reach for absolute perfection, that is not the purpose of this type of notebook, you can draw whatever you want!
(like this !! look at my THOND silly doodles ! no one can judge me this movie is a masterpiece)⬇️
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'll leave you with the 4 P's of life : Passion, Patience, Persistence, and Practice !

It's been a long year and it's only February…
Well, it's time to put this out there: I've had a fairly shitty few years (like, haven't we all, obviously), but it's included a long, expensive legal battle against unscrupulous cysts, which is finally concluded satisfactorily save being left somewhat skint on the other side of it. Doesn’t help that said battle meant that I had to move house - not exactly a low activity on the expense and stress scales…
So I'm looking for extra work, to help while we wait for the Luxury Space Communism to kick in (I'd settle for Universal Basic Income or an end to the Housing and Cost of Living Crisis, tbh).
Things I do to a professional standard include:
Creative Mentoring and Tutoring (writing and performance techniques, especially for poetry - bespoke or standard workshops available for groups as well as one-to-one).
Project Management (feeling overwhelmed by a project you want to get off the ground and/ or run within budget and timescale? I can help with that).
Business Change Management (you need to expand or shift your business focus? I can help that happen in a well-managed fashion).
Performance Poetry (got a bunch of poems, 18 years' experience delivering them live, and a nice voice).
Writing to Commission (especially poetry, but I write both fictive prose and essays too).
Voice Acting and Narration (I've acted in audio dramas and narrated short stories, training videos, and so far one documentary).
Book and Pamphlet Production (I operate a small press).
Basic website setup and maintenance.
Training on any of the above.
I have a sliding scale of rates depending on customer circumstances, and you can book me for a free initial consultation via my website: https://www.fayroberts.co.uk/crass-commercialism/services/
And if you fancy just sending me money because you're generous, I have a ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/fayroberts

Chronic shipper brain disease aside, my greatest hope for the HD re-releases of AJ, DD, and SoJ is that it reels in some more naruodo enjoyers / tolerators.
Not shippers, per say (although that would be nice), but at least people who see their fun broken-but-then-mended hero worship dynamic across all three games,

look at the fan art and fan fics made about it, and go, “It may not be my thing, but I get the appeal,” instead of picking up their metaphorical pitchforks because of an 11-year age difference between two unrelated adults who met as adults.

Fully of the opinion that having Cinderheart mentor Ivypaw was a huge mistake from a writing standpoint. The point of Ivypool as a character is that she feels neglected and overlooked in comparison to her sister, which makes no sense when her mentor is Cinderheart, who is kind, intelligent, emotionally mature, and overall perfect mentor material for someone dealing with Ivypaw’s problems. The fact that Ivypaw has a great mentor really undermines Ivypool’s feelings of neglect and makes her insecurities and negativity towards Dovewing less justified. If Ivypaw had had a bad mentor, it would have went a long way in helping create that feeling of insignificance and made it easier for the dark forest to take advantage of her. It would have also helped create a more interesting relationship between her and Hawkfrost, who would have wound up truly being her mentor in a way her Clan mentor wasn’t. It would have deepened both their characters and made Ivypool’s ultimate betrayal more impactful in the end.
Who should have been her mentor instead? Berrynose, without a doubt. Not only would it have been funny to watch Berrynose and Lionblaze be mentors alongside each other, but it would have been a way to help justify no one noticing the poor mentoring going down. Of course Lionblaze, mentoring alongside him (who is usually too busy with Dovepaw and the prophesy to notice anything else anyway) wouldn’t be taken seriously when complaining about Berrynose’s mentoring, since they have their whole rivalry. Berrynose, in general, seems like he would make a poor mentor, and I’m pretty sure he goes out never having had an apprentice? Firestar and Bramblestar are both smart enough to realize he wouldn’t do well, but maybe this was an attempt by Firestar to have Berrynose learn something and grow as a person. Also, right after being assigned an apprentice he and Poppyfrost have their kits, which would leave him with little time for Ivypaw. On top of that, no one wants to hang out with Berrynose, so they wouldn’t be spending much time in group training, and I can see Berrynose being possessive and not letting others work with his apprentice even though he’s not doing it, especially Lionblaze. Give Briarpaw to Cinderheart to ensure that no other warriors eager to have an apprentice are hanging around to pick up the slack (and to remove the whole Thornclaw mentored his mate’s sister thing…) and you have a recipe for a lonely, isolated, neglected apprentice, who gets stuck doing the menial chores and none of the training, and is desperate for someone to give her the attention she needs to grow-perfect dark forest prey.

Agit got me thinking about, of all things, a Halfa!Jazz AU and I am having a BLAST with it in my brain <3
Jazz doesn’t have a lot of canon content, so there’s plenty of blanks for me to fill in. This Jazz is a curious thing, she hungers for knowledge and she loves learning. She’s very studious, and has been since she was young, so she ultimately doesn’t really have any friends because Amity Park is a small town and her reputation has been firmly established as a responsible, mature, know-it-all and teacher’s pet Jazz. Good for tutoring, not good for inviting to parties. Not that she’d go anyway, she always says no.
It ends up being that insatiable curiosity that sends her into her parents lab after their latest project doesn’t work. That has her stepping into this very strange machine, wondering why exactly it didn’t turn on. Is something missing? Was it not plugged in? It wouldn’t be unlike her parents to forget to plug it in, they can get ahead of themselves in their excitement sometimes.
She accidentally leans on the button.
You know what they say; curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back.

1 ageswap poster wip. 1 plain ritsu. 1 ageswap terumob. and 1 tome served reigen style
#mob psycho 100#mp100 ageswap#ritsu kageyama#shigeo kageyama#tome kurata#tsubomi takane#ichi mezato#teruki hanazawa#terumob#ageswap mp100#dodles#my art#its always mob starts s&s or tome starts s&s personally i think mob creates it as a last ditch effort after not being able to stay at a job#without his brain melting and tome eventually sees his poor business skills and takes it#kindly though she keeps mob employed because shes his friend <3#she would absolutely underpay him if the business was not legally his#i think also mob isnt as socially fucked as most people say he would be in his late 20s#i think without reigen as a mentor he would probably latch on to things like romance and impressing girls a lot harder#so tsubomi is his most admired figure and i think he would have the body improvement club as well growing up and telepathy club#so i think he would moreso internalize stuff like not letting others dilute you and would come to a lot of the same conclusions#just not as conscious maybe#perhaps this manifests in ??? being less of a chaos tornado and as hes gotten used to himself he moreso manifests as his subconscious#rather than like. pure id#so eg if mob got into an accident and knocked out ala end of mp100 it wouldnt be city destroying totally unaware i think it could end up#in more of a purely self preservation thing so instad hed probably go to the hospital or tome#i do think though he ends up having like a romance renaissance in his late 20s#his approach to romance in middle school i think would just be sad LOL like hed have support and whatnot but i think hed chase tsubomi and#try pursuing other relationships a lot more#and get rejected a lot.#i think after he gets out of school he probably tries uni maybe he gets some degree maybe not but its not something he cares about

A journey of patience in personal growth and business
If you want to grow a flower you need to plant the seed, be patient and take care of it.
If you plant the seed and give up the next day because the flower has not grown yet, you lose the chance to have that flower you wish for, but if you shower it with love and take care of it the flower will bloom and you could have the most beautiful flower in the world.
Everything in life takes patience. You shouldn't give up right away because you might be just a few steps away from fulfilling your dreams.
Just like nurturing a flower, personal growth requires patience, care, and persistence. Each step counts. Don't miss out on the chance to nurture your potential.
