Characters: Diluc, Childe, Kaeya, Zhongli, Ayato, Thoma

Diluc, who frowns as he sees you asleep at your desk again after insisting you'll 'be done soon'. He places a blanket over you, but after a while, picks you up to place you in bed (or at least on the couch) so that your back and neck wouldn't be sore.

It's against protocol, but Diluc does find himself taking care of your work (however much he can) for the rest of the night. He might play it off as you having actually finished your work (but you simply couldn't remember) - or, Diluc might just tell you he's done it already, so you could go back to sleep.

He tells himself that this isn't doting behavior. Just... prioritizing your wellbeing.

Childe has you call in sick (you are actually on the verge of working yourself into a fever, if you don't rest properly soon) and prepares a range of activities for you to do at home. All of which involve some form of lounging around; eating the nutritional and hearty meals he's cooked up, a TV marathon, and some two-player games that he knows will draw some laughs out of you.

He showers you with attention and gives you the time to unwind, feeling more like yourself again by the end of the way. Childe knows it's not your skill that's limiting you from finishing work, but rather the emotional exhaustion that comes with long-terms without breaks.

That's the smile he's looking for. Listening to his advice once in a while isn't so bad, right?

Kaeya brings you out on a date. Of course, it doesn't have to be solely romantic unless you'd like it to be - but the point of the outing is just to let loose and bring you around for some fun without needing to think too much.

A nice meal, a trip to the bookstore or arcade (depending on what you prefer), and of course, conversing with the ever-charming Kaeya Alberich is sure to boost your mood!

His suave plans become a little clumsy at times when certain things don't go as planned... but somehow, these fumbles earn Kaeya one of your most beautiful laughs, so he supposes he can shoulder the embarrassment just a few more times.

Zhongli's forms of care come in smaller doses. It's in the ways he checks up on you throughout the day and offers his assistance with tasks while you grab a drink and stretch your legs, to the way he asks about your day when you finally get home and collapse on the couch, eyes beginning to shut.

Sometimes, Zhongli even reads your documents to you when you can't keep your attention on the text any longer. The intention is there, but he fails to take into account how soothing his voice is - sometimes; you simply let the words wash over you and forget to comprehend their meaning. Though Zhongli is also happy to summaries said documents for you. It's also part of his job after all, much to your relief.

Ayato... is a rather convincing android.

When you protest against taking a day off, he's quick to semi-coerce you into considering otherwise by mentioning how you wouldn't want to come home just to see him dejected, would you? Who knows what he'd do if left alone for too long...

If it's any solace though, Ayato does bring you to a cat cafe. And afterwards, he leads you to a very interesting activity he's found around the city - painting by water-balloon!

It's the less-violent way of stress relief, compared to breaking glassware with a baseball bat. Dressed within the safety of a suit, you pelt your frustrations away by launching paint-filled balloons at a wall covered with white cloth. Ayato is in a matching suit and offers to stand in front of said wall so that you could make a human-impression on your art piece.

Thoma spends a day cooking and baking with you! It's themed after a certain movie or flavor profile that you enjoy, complete with a self-care routine of face masks, manicures, and a scalp massage.

It's essentially a spa day brought to your home. As a result of Thoma's careful planning, you do feel a lot more relaxed and pampered by the time night comes around. You've convinced him to let you stick some of the stickers on his face (to match with your own) as you took some silly pictures together.

While Thoma couldn't really use the same products as you, you enjoyed surfing random things on the internet with him, such as doing palm readings or personality quizzes.

Okay the way I found your fanfic on ao3 (which I’m so absolutely hooked over btw read it in a day) and somehow I got myself fully immersed in all your different Sephiroth aus. Your writing is so 🥺 especially the way you capture their personalities to fit the struggles they’ve been through and just fits their own unique character. So far I’m loving Fluffy AU the most. I’m just curious what turned Fluffy Seph into a Yandere again. Like what triggered it? And I was also wondering since fluffy darling is stressed from yandere seph and sephs biggest fear was always losing fluffy darling to pregnancy complications how would he react if something were to happen after he finds her. Would he become crazier and go back to his original plans to destroy the world or would he become a better person. Thank you for your work!

What fanfic on Ao3? Could you link it? As for how Fluffy Sephiroth became "Fluffy", I partially alluded to this backstory in my most recent work with him in it here. I will write more about it, but I will explain it further in a meta context. Read more for the explanation or wait for when I write it, your choice.

The alternate Domestic AU is a bad path diverging from the regular, fluffy Domestic AU. Fluffy Sephy is at risk succumbing to his inner darkness and violent impulses, but his darling, who serves as his source of light, keeps those urges at bay. Sephiroth's mental state could greatly worsen if anything happens to his darling and/or children.

In the Alternate Domestic AU, some years after Darling gave birth to their triplet boys, she began to suffer from degradation, an unfortunate consequence from her SOLDIER past. Seeing his darling on the brink of death had already put Sephy on the edge. He tirelessly did what he could to find a "cure" for her until he made the fateful choice to return to Shinra to find what he needed. Let's just say he discovered his origins under even more distressing circumstances, given his heightened despair and anxiety. Hojo told him what exactly he COULD do to save darling, but it was no guarantee that it would save her (what a troll) since a perfect monster like him couldn't give his own cells away. After reaching his limit with the bastard, Sephiroth killed him and extracted a sample of JENOVA's cells to inject into his pregnant darling, all of which happened after his mandatory killing spree within Shinra HQ, of course.

It's a tragic situation, but I think it's in Sephiroth's character drive him do something like this for his darling, as his strong love for her and their children compels him, even if it means continuing the horrific cycle his father started. Sephiroth tells himself, who is the master of his world, it'd be different. But how different, really?

As for losing the darling in general to pregnancy complications, then the world will pay for it. It doesn't matter if it was a mere act of god that caused her to die, the world will know despair.

That woman is his anchor, his beacon of light, so help anyone and anything that takes her away from him.

NRC has a pretty preppy kind of uniform given to the students, it’ll only change depending on how the students wear the uniform, seeing your well ironed tie straight and pleated skirt or pants crisp and neat makes him pretty smitten surprisingly, especially when it comes to you.

You could NEVER picture Shifty doing something like this, but you have no other explanation for what your eyes are seeing

The conflicting feelings start to feel overwhelming so you tell your friends that you’re going to the bathroom before walking as quickly as you can toward the restrooms

Shifty notices your brisk pace and gets concerned cuz you look really upset?? What happened while he was gone??

He follows you to the hallway with the bathrooms and gently takes your hand

“Is everything alright love??” he says so gently but also so worried

You debate telling him what you saw

Like on the one hand he’s never given any indication he’s like that

But on the other he was CLEARLY flirting back???

He sees the anxiety in your eyes and his concern just Doubles

“Sweetheart what’s wrong??” he gently places his hands on your arms while he waits to hear your response, praying he can fix whatever it is

“...why were you flirting with that girl?” you asked in a barely audible voice, tears welling up in your eyes

The next time Chuuya dragged him to a boring sports game Dazai was going to suffocate him with that stupid hat he insisted on always wearing.

It wasn't that Dazai had a particular aversion to sports or anything. In fact, he normally enjoyed watching a few matches on his phone.

It was the fact that he had been dragged away from his work and seated in the middle of a gym stuffed with sweaty gossiping teenagers who loved to stare at their president.

Dazai's normal excuses of his duties as a representative of the school had fallen on deaf ears as Chuuya used the fact that their adorable juniors Akutagawa and Atsushi were going to have a match that afternoon to coerce Dazai into joining.

However, one match quickly turned into three and before he knew it Dazai found himself sitting through the entirety of the under eighteen volleyball qualifiers with a buzzing Chuuya clinging to his side.

"Chuuya I have things to do."

His annoyed call was ignored for the umpteenth time that day as the shorter male kept his eyes trained on the court, not even bothering to turn to Dazai as he replied.

"Just a minute! Our best spiker is about to serve."

His words intrigued Dazai more than he cared to admit, which was why the brunette found his head turning forward to observe the student clad in their school's uniform standing at the far end of the court.

Chuuya had thankfully been insightful enough to snatch the best seats for the two of them, which meant that Dazai could easily see the calm expression on your face as you tossed your ball upwards the second the sound of the referee's whistle cut through the gym.

For a second, he thought that nothing had happened.

But then Dazai heard the people around him erupt in cheers as a loud thud echoed from the other side of the court; a sound that had him turning to stare at the volleyball now idly bouncing in the middle of the opponents.

"You were right."

Dazai could sense Chuuya's smug grin even before he turned towards the redhead, but didn't bother to boost his ego more than necessary as he turned back to observe you.

"You were amazing! Of course our oldest and most experienced player would put us in the lead with one serve!"

He could tell your teammates had meant it in a nice way, but even from his seat behind your manager's bench, there was no mistaking the poorly hidden frown tugging on your lips.

The way you seemed to shrink in on yourself as your teammates continued praising you confused Dazai to no end. After all, why would you be insecure about something as simple as age?

"-turning eighteen in a couple of weeks, thankfully coach said that didn't matter."

Oh.

Being a couple of months or even a year older than your classmates was usually nothing to worry about in school. But when you start your last year, it was hard for the older children to feel included when their friends were still minors.

Some people, like Dazai, thought nothing of the age gap. But you seemed to be affected by it.

He shouldn't have cared as much as he did.

Dazai told himself he was just bored. That he chose to follow after you as you left the gym with an excuse to use the bathroom only because your insecurity was the only interesting thing he had seen all afternoon.

But that was a lie.

You were classmates who never talked much, but Osamu had always thought you were pleasant to be around. Maybe that was why he didn't like seeing you so down about something so stupid.

"You're going to be late if you just keep standing there."

You jumped up in alarm at the sudden sound of his voice, the sight making Dazai scoff in amusement as he walked up to you and took to leaning against the other end of the window you were staring out of.

"Dazai. Didn't see you there."

He hummed at your acknowledgement but was quick to speak up a moment later.

"You shouldn't be insecure about your age."

"How did you-"

Dazai shrugged at your confused questioning, with the action being the only answer he was willing to provide you.

"Doesn't matter. Listen, you're not better than them because you're a few months older. You're better because you're talented."

He moved closer to you as he spoke, only coming to a stop once you were trapped between him and the cold glass window.

"Worrying about your age just gives them something to get into your head with-"

Maybe distracting you with misleading romantic gestures wasn't the right way to ensure his school won, but Dazai didn't really care much about morals. Not when this way he could watch you squirm and part your lips as you tried to come up with some sort of a retort.

"I wouldn't want our star spiker losing over something so stupid."

He moved forward to cup your cheek and tap it affectionately before completely pulling away.

Dazai could tell you wanted to comment on his proximity, perhaps even make a move, but you weren't allowed to do anything else as the gym door behind him loudly flew open, followed by calls of your teammates searching for you.

"You should go."

You nodded along to his words, almost as if they helped snap you out of the flustered daze his proximity caused.

The sight had Dazai letting out a soft smile as he watched you pull away and return to the gym with a quick thank you.

Maybe sports games weren't so boring after all.

When the music finally slowed down to a smoother r & b beat, Nelly’s Dilemma being played, he looked into your eyes as you wiped away a few droplets of sweat running down his forehead and he rested it on yours. He mouthed “I love you” as his pupils shone glimmers into your eyes, twisting and turning the insides of your stomach. At that moment, in the midst of a chaotic, frantic, bass boosted noise frat party, it felt like the world only belongs to the both of you.

Until…

“Haechan! Beer pong!” A friend of his called after him, making him roll his eyes. You smiled and nodded at him, assuring that it’s okay he can go have fun with his friends. He made an apologetical expression and kissed your cheek before walking away to leave you alone once again. His arm was quickly pulled by his friends as you shift your weight onto your left leg to lean on the wall by the kitchen hallway and watched him join the game.

He looked over at where you were once in a while and as he was fifteen minutes into the game, he waved you over and pointed at the vacant seat on the sofa by the ping-pong table. You shook your head and pointed out to the backyard to tell him that you’re going to get some air. He nodded and raised a thumbs up your way as approval.

You made your way to the backyard where you found some students making out on the grass, you made sure you presence stays invisible as they did their deeds, as long as clothes haven’t started getting thrown, you’re good with sounds of lips smacking as company as you stare at the night sky and twinkling stars.

You pulled your phone out to see what has been making it buzz in your pocket and read the notifications from your boyfriend.

You laughed shaking your head at the joke he sent, you made your way into the house again from the backdoor, your feet leading you as your head look around the room looking for your sunshine.

He was standing near the cabinets trying to look for something inside it when you realised someone else was in front of him, legs spread for him to stand in between. You could feel your heart stop the very moment you stopped walking towards him.

You were right by the kitchen hallway, able to see what the girl was doing to him. Her puckering lips planting dangerously hungry kisses on his neck, her fingers desperately trying to make him look at her and hopefully kiss her back. You took a step forward but not close enough for him to push her away, yet.

“Grace! That’s enough!” Haechan finally yelled, fed up with the girl’s seducing. He glanced over his shoulder and took a second look when he saw your eyes staring back at him in horror.

“Babe-“ he started. Slamming a cabinet’s door shut at the girl’s face.

The tears that you swelled up and held back from falling broke into a silent cry. You ran to the door, heading out of the frat house as he called your name over and over again, running after you. You quickly shovelled your car keys to start the engine and drove off the parking spot before he could stop you.

You rolled your windows down half to let the night air in as the radio sang Say It Right by Nelly Furtado. You hit the steering wheel a few times as you hear your phone ring Haechan’s personalised incoming call ringtone, making a u-turn to drive back home to your dorm where you hope that you’ll be having a good night's sleep.

Also on that last bit YES I always feel like that in their hugs (The Hug™️or just any cuddles) and I feel weird saying that bc.. @ the crazies but it’s not in a sexual/romantic way it’s just that they truly are each other home and feel so safe they could legitimately loose consciousness and wake up in the same safe place they left 🥹 (kinda said something along the lines of that in this post from my bby blogging days).

Ahh that giggle moment at worlds is the cutest!! I also find the story behind it really funny: apparently he has a habit of picking up accents when they’re in other counties and he retells it that he was speaking kinda in an Italian accent.. which I don’t really hear.. he seams to just be speaking in his normal super lovely Canadian accent.. but as with many things them it must’ve been something so tiny and subtle that only T picked up on and that just sent her packing.. which tbh makes it even more endearing. And poor sweet T she was trying so hard to pull it together, not appear rude and he does such a good job of covering for her like saying ‘oh well I’m ready for tomorrow but T we’ll have to sort out’ and you just know after this whole thing they both cracked up into a fit of laughter (once they were out of the press area). I love this side of them- that silly best friend stuff and where they know eachother so well and the inside joke is so specific and they can tease each other in the most harmless way 💖

Later in that clip the interviewer asks them ‘who is your biggest competition’ and I have to say (while I’m sure all skaters/teams get asked it) it’s always really bothered me how they would be asked about their competitors.. like wtf this is VM’s interview. Completely off from the event we are talking about here but like their interview after winning 2017 worlds, how she asks about the 🇫🇷. WHY?? How rude to take the focus away from VM in their moment of glory to praise their competitors (which VM being so sportsman like and humble and nice to everyone would of course say great things- things the 🇫🇷 probably don’t deserve considering their lack of sportsmanship). It’s like a 1 min interview and they have to spend half of it talking about another team. I’ve seen quite a few instances of it happening with DW being the ‘other team’ but god it makes me mad..

Anyway..

Then on the podium it’s so clear how exhausted they were.. in the K+C almost non-responsive to the score and confirmation they had won their first worlds (which btw they were the only oly gold medalists to go on and win worlds the same year- Yuna was second and the pairs and mens winners weren’t there). Them ‘singing’ the anthem is kinda sad in contrasting it to singing it at the olys. There’s some commentary (somewhere) of the team Canada person at the time from worlds saying they aren’t sure if VM will continue- many teams/skaters after a success like this would cut their losses and hit the pro circuit. It’s odd to think there were people in team Canada so on the outskirts of what was really going on with VM.. but it also may have just been a non-answer answer as to not give people a narrative VM didn’t want out yet.. but as they’ve said it was clear they would continue.

Such a sweet moment encapsulating a momentous achievement- only the second Canadians to win ID worlds, and after they broke nearly every record under the sun. A moment on top of the world, embracing and just feeling so grateful, a moment of centring, feeling present, eyes closed to shut out the rest of the world. A silent “good job kiddo” from him probably, and T just feeling like she did it, she didn’t let him down, she’s still standing and is a world champion, for now at least.. everything was perfect.

And not to take anything away from this moment- their feels were completely validated, whether it was joy or exhaustion or anything else, but a few years later when she would burst into tears realising after winning a second world title thinking this wasn’t satisfying.. just propelling their journey even further..

1. Between 7 and 5, who did you bias first?

Minho. Choi Minho is my og bias wrecker. Plus I started stanning shinee in 2010 before seventeen was even a thing. Wonwoo was just a babe in the woods at that point 😂

2. Between 2 and 6, who are you more attached to?

TAEIL v. DOKYEOM?? Well, it should come as no surprise to anyone but the answer is Moon Taeil. I adore that man with my whole being (I hope he's recovering and resting well rn). Lee Seokmin is very important to me too, but he was up against my moon man and stood no chance. Sorry, DK 💔

3. If you were to spend the day with either 3 or 1, who would you choose and what would you do?

I have to pick between Kim Jongin and Byun Baekhyun??? This game is rude 😒 but ofc I'm choosing Baekhyun. Mel had a really cute answer to this that I'm not going to be able to compare to. But I feel like Baek just needs a break. So I'd probably choose to do something chill (I say as tho I wouldn't be a basket case and like I can speak Korean). Maybe go to a coffee place, preferably one with baked goods, near a park or a river and just take our coffee (and pastries) to a nice spot to chill and talk. Maybe get some pizza for lunch. Play some video games (truthfully I'd probably just watch HIM play since I only play single player games due to being shit at them). Idk 🤷‍♀️ I'm bad at this lmao

4. What is your favorite physical feature about 9?

HIS SMILE!! I know he's known for his sad eyes while singing but COME ON!! LOOK AT HIM 🥺 (yes, I'm stealing mel's idea of including a picture, but mostly bc more people should know and love Donghun)

5. What is your favorite part of 6's personality?

Dokyeom is like the literal embodiment of sunshine. He is so bright and happy!! You can tell he loves life and finds joy in little things. His laughter and smile is such a serotonin boost! I know that he feels and thinks about things deeply and can be a little (a lot) hard on himself. But he's got this big, big heart. I just love how full of light he is, yk?

7. Between 1 and 2, whose closet would you raid?

Why do I feel like neither Baekhyun nor Taeil have much that I would want to raid from their closets? 🤔 idk that I pay that close attention to their own personal styles either tbh. I think I'm picking Baek tho. I don't have a great reason other than I know he's always wearing these oversized things. And oversized clothes are cozy 🤷‍♀️ I'm stealing one of that man's hoodies and keeping it for the rest of my life thanks so much

8. What is a style that you want to see 3 try?

I don't feel like I have any notes for Mr. Gucci. Jongin has a much better grasp on fashion than I do. AND he's done pretty much everything and can pull off the craziest things.

9. Between 5 and 4, who are you closer to in height?

Minho, but I'm not actually close to his height either. Chanyeol's just a tol boy™️

10. Between 10 and 9, whose music do you like the best?

Oh man this is such a difficult question. Out of the 2, Kihyun's the only one with solo work. But Donghun's voice is SOOO 👌🏻💯🤧👏🏻👍🏻 I feel similarly about Kihyun's voice tho. If we're saying between a.c.e's music and monsta x's tho...?? I *think* I'm choosing a.c.e's, but kihyun's solos are so good 😭😭 this is such an impossible decision to make 🙃

Darius's POV

Today is the day I am finally going to ask Y/N to marry me, but I knew it needed to be special. So I suggested that we do Secret Santa in order for me to catch her off guard. We have been together for 3 years and, although, we are still young and figuring out the real world, I want to make sure she and I figure it all out together. I had been getting questioned left and right backstage from the other wrestlers asking if it was going to happen soon. Allie, aka The Bunny, had been extremely interested as of late since Y/N had started to train with her more often.

About a week ago

"Darius, my friend, how is Christmas shopping for Y/N going?"

I shrugged my shoulders with a small smirk. "Pretty good. I think she will like what I have for her."

Allie stared waryingly at me for a second before whispering to me. "You should probably know, I got her for Secret Santa. Your gift better outshine mine."

I chuckled lightly before an idea popped up in my head, and I took Allie out of earshot to ask for her help, which she giddily jumped around about before agreeing to it.

Back to the present day

I smiled as I watched Y/N get all dressed up for the Secret Santa party. She had a cute Christmas dress with some heels laid out on the bed as she finished up her hair and makeup. I walked into the bathroom and wrapped my arms around her waist as I set my chin on her right shoulder. "There's my babygirl. I missed you this morning. Training again?"

She smiled as I left a couple light kisses on her neck and shoulder. "Yep. Allie insisted on training and then shopping for an outfit for tonight."

I tried my best to hide my smirk as this means Allie already has the plan working. "Well. I'm glad you are home now, and we get to go hang out with our friends for a bit. But trust me, baby, later you are all mine." I gave her ass a quick squeeze as I left her to finish getting ready and went downstairs to text Allie.

Thanks for getting her an outfit today. She is so psyched to go to the party.

You're welcome, lover boy, but you better not drop the ball tonight.

You have the ring in her present correct? I don't want anything to go wrong.

Y/N's POV

As I put the finishing touches on my hair and makeup, I smile, thinking about how Darius is going to react to my new outfit once I have it on. It's a bit more revealing than I would normally go for considering it is a company party, but it's definitely going to boost my confidence once I put it on. I have Hook for Secret Santa, so the present was pretty easy as I just got some chips and gift cards for camera equipment. I wasn't sure who had me, though, so tonight could be really great or kinda meh depending on how presents go. I know Darius has Anthony Bowens, and he is really excited to see his face when he opens up his present as they are pretty close.

I get dressed and grab my gift for Hook from the closet before heading out to the living room to find Darius in a nice red button-down with black jeans. We both cooed at each other, taking in each other's appearances. "Who is she? The goddess of Christmas, perhaps?"

I laugh as Darius takes my hand and twirls me around slowly. He gently pulls me into his arms, and I smile before kissing him briefly. "Let's get on the road, my big strong Nutcracker."

We laughed and made small talk as we drove to the party, and I could sense he was getting more nervous as we got closer. I put my hand on his thigh and gently squeezed it. "Bowens is going to love your gift. Just relax and have a good time, babe."

Darius smiles and pecks my lips after parking the car. He runs around to open the door for me, and I shake my head at him. "Let's get this party started, m'lady!"

We walk inside and talk to our friends, occasionally splitting up, but overall sitting together and eating yummy treats as everybody settles in. We start the Secret Santa gift exchange, and everybody is loving their gifts so far. I deliver my gift to Hook, who smiles and hugs me when he sees the gift card for camera equipment. "Maybe we can have a photoshoot someday soon with the lads and some of your friends as well."

I nod and happily walk back to my spot and watch as the others trade gifts. Darius gets up and hands Bowens his gift, which soon leads to a full bro hug session before he returns to my side. He still seems a bit antsy, but I try to ignore it, thinking maybe he is just nervous about what he might get. Allie stands up and walks over to me, and I squeal lightly as I start to open the gift. She had it wrapped very neatly in a box with another smaller box in the corner. I opened it up to find a scarf I had been eyeing on our shopping trip along with some homemade coupons for girls' spa days with her.

"Oh, Allie! That is so sweet. Thank you so much!"

Allie smiled. "I knew you weren't going to buy that scarf for yourself, and I know you are going to need a spa day for the last little gift there."

I felt Darius move next to me as I opened the last box and found a ring box inside it. I froze momentarily as Allie took the rest of the box off my lap, leaving me to turn to see Darius down on one knee. My fingers struggled to stay still, so he took the box and held it up to me.

"Y/N. You are my person. You are my world. Every day, when I wake up and see you sleeping next to me, I ask myself how I got so lucky. You are my best friend, and although we are still trying to navigate adulthood, you are the only one I want to spend the rest of my life with. Will you make me the happiest man in the world and become my wife?"

I nodded frantically and squeaked out a yes before he slid the ring on my finger and pulled me into a time stopping kiss. It felt like we were the only two people in the world as we kissed and embraced each other, taking in the feeling of being fiancées. Once we pulled away, I turned back to Allie and squealed, hugging her. Everybody congratulated us, and we didn't leave each other's sides for a good 15 minutes before realizing we never finished Secret Santa.

"Wait, hold up, who is left to do Secret Santa?"

We saw Hook stand up with his camera in hand and a small bag at his side as he walked over to Darius. Once he handed him the bag, we smiled, seeing a few inside joke gifts alongside a slip of paper that read "Engagement pictures session voucher with Hook. Just tell me when and where."

The two of us got a bit teary-eyed as we realized he knew the whole time. Darius was stuttering, trying to think of something to say when Hook put his hand on his shoulder. "Did you really think I couldn't tell when my best friend was going to pop the question? I'll let you see the pictures I got from today in a couple of days after I retouch them, and then we can talk about the photoshoot."

We both pull him into a hug and thank him for taking pictures, trying to get a sneak peek. He smirks and walks away to go get some chips. "So that is officially everyone done for Secret Santa now, right?"

Everybody nods, and Darius puts his arm around me before grabbing his glass as Dante stands to make a toast. "To the holiday season, friends and family including my soon to be sister in law and pain in the ass brother."

I laugh as Darius shakes his head, and we all clink our glasses and cheers to the season and our new journey as fiancées. For the rest of the night, Darius and I are basically attached at the hip and steal kisses from one another whenever we can. The party starts to wind down, and we head out to the car before driving home holding hands.

Once we get inside, it only takes a couple of seconds for Darius to scoop me up and carry me to our bedroom before dropping me on the bed. He lays next to me, and we both simply admire the new bling on my finger for a couple minutes just letting it sink in. Darius smirks before kissing my fingers one by one and slowly working his way up my arm. "I told you tonight you would be all mine."
