#but it makes more sense if she's protecting Makkari
Note
Oh my dear, please continue the mermaid AU.
Maybe something where Thena tried to protect Makkari from a fisher net and got caught. Gil seeing the boat at the dock, Thena in the net and he cuts her free when no one is looking.
🖤✨ Hugs an much looove!!! ✨🖤
Gil went still in the middle of pulling the chord of the small motorboat. He was just about to head home, but he leaned over the edge, staring into the water. He saw it--he knew he did.
There!--a streak of red, so quick if he had blinked at the right time it would have been gone. But he had seen it, he was certain. He wasn't sure why, though. He looked around him, making sure no one was around his end of the docks to see them in the dark. He whispered, "Makkari?"
A little distance away, a head popped out of the water to glare at him. Just like Thena.
He waved at her, although she disappeared from view. Just a for a second, though, before popping up in front of him again.
"What are you doing here?" he whispered, knowing that even if she couldn't hear him, that she could tell what he was saying from watching him say it. "You shouldn't be this close to land!"
She rose slightly with the help of her tail thrashing rapidly under her. She moved her hands too fast to follow, too.
Gil blinked and shook his head. "I-I don't know what-"
Makkari huffed, slapping her hands down and splashing him as she did so. She pressed her fingers together before bursting them outwards, like an anemone. Her lips moved.
"Th-Thena?" he guessed, and she pointed at him and nodded.
Makkari pointed to herself, and then moved two of her fingers around in a swimming motion.
"You and Thena were swimming," Gil narrated as he watched. Again, Makkari confirmed he was right. Her other hand dove down over them, but she flicked one finger against the other. Her left hand pulled up only one finger. "You and Thena...then you got caught?"
She shook her head.
"Thena," he corrected, his heart dropping when she stared down into the water. "Thena got caught."
Makkari nodded, gesturing over her chest.
"Thena protected you from a net?" Gil guessed, to which she offered a miserable nod. He didn't have time to dwell on it, though. And neither did she, since she had endangered herself plenty just to come and find him. He leaned so far over the edge of the boat he was close to falling in. "Makkari, what boat was it?"
She turned in the water, pointing over to where the larger, more heavily equipped boats were docked. The crews were probably in the pub currently, drinking away a long, hard shift.
Gil finally took the plunge, slipping into the water as quietly as he could. Makkari looked a little bewildered, but he released the edge of the boat in his hand. "Can you show me?"
She appraised him and how serious about this he was. She just swam off, although Gil could tell she was moving at a snail's pace for her own ability. It was for the sake of leading him. He moved gently in the water, kicking minimally and angling his hands. "If I go by dock, someone might see me. The less people who know about her, the better."
Makkari seemed almost impressed by his reasoning. She eyed the boats they passed, seeming familiar with each one. When they finally arrived at the largest boat, she pointed, spelling it out with her hand.
Gil frowned at it: the Deviant. "I know this guy."
Makkari looked at him, splashing him slightly again to prompt him to continue.
Gil huffed, pulling himself up to the ladder. "Kro--it's illegal, but he'll take poaching contracts sometimes."
Makkari tilted her head at him, and again he was reminded of Thena. His heart lurched in his chest.
"We have a responsibility to fish only what's needed, avoid species that are endangered, that kind of thing," Gil listed, moving up one ladder wrung at a time as he looked at Makkari below. "Kro will basically hunt anything if he's getting paid. And he's pretty cruel about it, keeps trophies and stuff."
Gil's blood chilled even further, and not just after his impromptu evening swim. If Kro thought he had truly caught something as magnificent as Thena, then who could say what he would do with her?
Gil looked around the deck, making sure no one was on it. It seemed unwise to leave her unguarded, but maybe they had all left to go spread the news and gain even more of a crowd for their big reveal. He snuck onto deck, soaking wet boots and all.
The arm was still held aloft, the net with their catch still suspended. Gil's gut twisted as he saw a few shimmering scales scattered around under it. "Thena?"
"Gil?"
He rushed to her as carefully as he could. Her voice was small and fragile. She was obviously exhausted from the struggle, and he couldn't imagine what it felt like to be captured like a wild animal.
Gil collected the scales on the deck and shoved them in his pockets, determined to leave not a trace of evidence for them to keep. He stood, hooking his fingers through a loop in the net. "I'm so sorry, Angelfish."
Thena sniffled, blinking her tired, bloodshot eyes at him. "I didn't think anyone would come."
Gil shook his head at the mere suggestion of it. He could see her eyes were raw from crying. Her skin had red marks from her struggling against the net. He could even see where she had tried to gnaw at it with those fangs of hers. But these nets were thick, made to be durable--they had to all but be sawed open.
Thena leaned into his touch as he brushed two fingers against her cheek.
"It's okay, I'm gonna get you out of there," he whispered, pulling out his pocket knife. He reached up, sawing at the top of the net with the serrated back edge.
"How did you find me?" she whispered, her voice unable to muster more strength to it after the worst day of her life.
"Makkari came to me," he whispered back, sawing desperately at the top of the net. It was a terrible angle for it, and his arm was already burning from the effort.
"We were swimming," Thena sighed, shifting miserably in the bottom of the net. "The whole boat shook when it blared its horn. It interfered with her echolocation, and she didn't realise the net had hit the water. I moved her out of the way of it."
No wonder Makkari had looked so miserable when she finally found him.
"I knew she'd find someone, but I assumed it would be Ikaris," Thena murmured, her fatigue getting the better of her. "Although I guess he wouldn't have been able to rescue me up here, anyway."
Gil tossed his knife down catching Thena in his arms before she could fall to the hard deck of the boat. She clung to him, and he held her tighter than he ever had before. "You're okay."
Thena buried her face in his chest, her whole body trembling from head to tail.
"You're okay," he repeated in a fragile whisper. He felt around for his knife, shoving it back in his pocket and adjusting Thena in his arms. "We gotta go, Angelfish."
She held tight as he stood, moving towards the back of the boat. "What if they know it was you?"
"They won't," he rushed out as he slid down the ladder, just barely keeping them from splashing into the water by one hand. Thena's tail came to life once submerged again, able to keep her afloat better than he ever could.
Makkari was by her side in a flash, wrapping her arms around her.
Thena nodded, weakly but firmly, "I'm okay."
Gil swam closer to them, still watching around them for signs of people on the pier. "You two have to get as far away as possible. I mean it--don't come anywhere near the surface for at least a week."
Makkari balked at him, although Thena didn't seem surprised.
"Kro won't be happy his catch got away," Gil murmured, looking up at the side of the Deviant. "He'll be looking for you specifically, and he'll cast wider and deeper until he finds you."
Makkari nodded, ready to speed away already. She pulled at Thena's arm, frowning when she resisted.
Thena moved closer to him again. "I want to stay with you."
Makkari's jaw dropped.
"Thena," Gil sighed, but she cuddled right up to his side in the water. "It's not safe, Angelfish."
Makkari startled even more at the little nickname.
Thena shook her head at that, though, burying her face against the sopping wet sleeve of his shirt. "The safest I can be is with you."
Gil hated to admit it, but maybe she had a point. If her other option was staying at the bottom of the ocean for a month straight, maybe it was better to just keep her with him. With any luck, it would be the last place anyone would look for her. "I don't know, Thena."
"Please?" she whispered, using those big, amazing green eyes of hers on him.
He sighed. What a sucker, he was--a suckerfish. His hand found hers in the water. "Okay."
Thena looked at Makkari, her hand moving as she spoke. "Tell them I've found somewhere safe to hide. That's all you need to say."
Makkari gave Thena a look, shrugging widely at the total lack of explanation it offered.
"Just tell them," Thena asserted, and certainly Makkari only acquiesced given what Thena had been through. "And you: like Gil said, no more boat chasing for at least a moon cycle."
Makkari made a face at both of them, moving her hands and flicking water at them.
Thena rolled her eyes at her.
Gil smiled; for all their squabbling, the two hugged each other tight as they prepared to part ways temporarily. Gil received Thena at his side again, although he nodded at Makkari. "I promise I won't let anything happen to her."
Makkari narrowed her eyes, hissing at him before slipping under the surface and speeding off in the blink of an eye.
Thena sighed, burying herself against his shoulder and using her tail to keep them both afloat. "Can we go home?"
Gil pressed a kiss to her forehead, "yeah, Angelfish. Let's go home."

Ancient Babylonia
The door flung open, two sets of laughter were heard as feet stumbled into the dimmed room and the door closed abruptly.  The sweet scent of the blossoming flowers outside the window flooded the room, candles were already lit in corners of the room and near the bed that was in the center of the room, and the soft sounds of the town below floated into the small room as the two sets of giggles and waves of laughter finally calmed down.
Clío leaned back from her hold on Druig, seeing him nearly wish to keep her close within a hand's reach as she looked around the room where they were.  Her eyes twinkled at the sight, her smile etched on her face as she then walked over to the open windows to look down at the humans going into their homes for the night.  The moon hung high, and the music from the feast where they came from was still heard high in the air as she looked out at the city in front of her.
For the first time in a long time, Clío did feel like a God at that moment there that night.
They were three stories up, a massive building that was built by the humans as a shrine of sorts for the Eternals, for the Gods according to the humans.  They wished to make a resting place for the Eternals, apartments for them to rest and be worshipped. Clío never took the notion of being seen as God seriously, nor did she toy with it.  She only knew of herself as an Eternal, there to protect the humans from Deviants and to watch them evolve in front of her own eyes.  Yet the humans saw her as more than that, seeing her filled with power with her bellows and scream and perhaps a descendant from heaven.  As did the others, some liked the notion of being seen as a God more than others.
Yet in her mind, she was simply Clío.
It's been 3 years since the Eternals arrived in Babylonia, helping the humans thrive and multiply their city into what is now a major empire on the planet.  For three years, The Eternals lived amongst the humans in Babylonia and learned from them, seeing the good and the bad in the species.  Clío grew to love them, as did the rest of the Eternals.  Yet Clío never thought she would fall in love with another, someone who saw her as an equal and as someone worthy of love.
Druig, the mind controller and the love of her life.
They've only been together for two years, though their mutual love for one another ran deep far beyond that.  Clío knew her feelings for Druig were there for some time, yet she was too shy to say anything at all.  But once he kissed her under the stars, every insecurity was melting away. She felt that love deep in her core from the moment their lips touched, when his arm wrapped around her, and his heartbeat was right along hers.  Clío knew then what love must have felt like with humans when they loved each other, and she no longer had to wonder if she would feel that love herself.
Druig loved her with everything he had in her, never once hesitant to bring her happiness and peace.  None of the others ever fathomed that they would see Druig act like a love-sick puppy with anyone, yet Druig never once shied away from it.  In fact, he would hold Clío's hand anytime he could, staying close by her not just as a sense of safety but as a sense of love and connection.  No matter the teasing he got from Sprite or Kingo, or the giggles and smirks from Sersi and Makkari, Druig felt his love grow for Clío as the years came and went.
He knew he was in love with Clío.
"It's beautiful up here," Clío hummed in amazement as she was scanning the scattered stars along the black sky.  Her head was still light and her chest was still warm, the feast where she and Druig came from was still going on into the wee hours of the morning.  The humans conducted the feast in honor of the Eternals defending them from Deviants.  She never thought she could dance for hours on end and lay so hard from some of Kingo's stories, or see Sprite cast illusions for the young children and watch their eyes widen in amazement. Yet the night was filled with laughter and joy, no fears or worries, and plenty of smiles were seen from both the humans and the Deviants.  Towards the end of the night, Clío felt Druig slip his hand in hers, ushering her away from the massive crowd in the middle of the dance floor as he whispered in her ear four simple words.
"Come away with me,"
So they slipped away, giggling as they left the main hall where the feast was.  Neither of them noticed Ajak watching them slightly opening the side door to slip out.  Yet she smiled, already knowing their love was blossoming day by day.  They both jogged down the hallway, hand in hand, and the sounds of their laughter bounced off the walls around them while Druig lead the way.  After slipping through the shadows and away from most of the humans that were still mingling about in the marketplace.
"It is, isn't it?" Druig asked as he looked over at Clío with a tilt of his head.  Of course, he knew she was talking about the stars and the city stretched out in front of them, bustling with life.  But he was mostly talking with Clío, seeing her hair almost glow in the reflection of the stars and the moon hung high in the air.  He was watching her freckles so bright along her arms and cheeks, and even the way she was perched against the railing of the balcony.  Her body language showed she was calm and safe, nothing was having her keep her guard up or be on alert.  This side of Clío was infectious, soothing, and calming.  Druig could watch her all day and never be tired or lose interest.
"This room, this building really, seems far too much for us doesn't it?" Clío asked nonchalantly as she was playing with the helm of her dress, her fingers twisting and playing along the silk fabric against her waist.
"Perhaps, although Kingo thinks it is not big enough for him and his prized possessions gifted to him by the humans," Druig hummed as he walked over to Clío slowly, his hands clad behind his back as he was keeping his eyes on her, "Not to mention Ikaris and his enlarged ego,"
"You still think of him in such a way?" Clío asked with a smirk as she looked over her shoulder at Druig, seeing him approach her softly and carefully, a soft gentle tempo in his steps as he rolled his eyes.
"I have the utmost respect for him….most of the time," He replied, Clío laughing as he joined her against the railing of the balcony, "I just find his ever-present need to please Ajak a bit much at times.  I know you think the same way, don't deny it,"
Clío said nothing and merely smiled, though Druig could sense her flushing a bit in her cheeks as he looked out at the marketplace below them, "I find this not too much.  At least for you, I think you deserve a whole palace yourself,"
"Druig…" Clío said with a hint of embarrassment as Druig smiled widely at her.
"It's true, I would never lie to you.  A palace may not be enough for you though, since I think you deserve all and more," He replied, reaching over to take her hands from fiddling with the fabric of her dress.  He laced their fingers together, palm to palm, just the right way he loved to hold her hand and never let her go.  It was one of the very first things that made him think of peace.  Knowing that the world around him would still evolve and change, his feelings for Clío made him feel grounded and consistent.
"You always know how to say the right thing to me," Clío explained to Druig as he watched her with a glint in his eye, "And I fall or it every time, why is that?"
"My ever-present charm?" He asked coyly as she gave him a knowing look.  Druig just scooted closer to be next to her, arm to arm, and he simply gave her the kinder stare that he could, "I merely love you, Clío.  I love you for loving all the sides of me: the good, the bad, and the ugly parts of me,"
Clío stared at him with softness and yet intensity in her eyes, Druig almost losing his breath in how her hazel eyes were so bright and yet filled with all of the wisdom and admiration that she could ever have.  He could get lost in her eyes, in the tone of her voice, and in the softness of her skin along his fingertips.  Even beyond her unique beauty, Druig loved her kind heart and her intense spirit.  Beyond her fierce nature in battle and using her screams against Deviants, she was filled with warmth that the others sensed and would love to come to.  Druig always saw her consoling both humans and the other Eternals, considering himself lucky to have her in his life when he knew he was more willing to be observant and watch from afar.
Sometimes he wondered why she would be with someone like him, someone with the weight of the world on his shoulders.
"No parts of you are ugly," Clío stated to him, her voice calm like the softness of the wind along the ocean waves, "I never saw anything ugly within you, Druig, even after all of these centuries.  I only see good in you, and that goodness is seen by others too,"
Druig felt those words seep into his bones so strongly, like vines that were wrapping around him to make him feel it deeply.  Clío always gave him words of affirmation, more than he could ever give him.  Even before they got together as a couple and confessed their love for one another, Clío always told Druig of his worth.  She reminded him of his place with the Eternals and how important he was with his aid for the humans.
There were times when Druig felt low and that his own beliefs were not in vain, but Clío never strayed from his side or left him alone with his thoughts.  Her words encouraged him to keep trying, to have him stand on his own two feet, and to never back down from what he knew was right.  He needed someone in his corner, and he found it in Clío.
Hearing that from Clío made Druig lean in to kiss her softly, feeling her melt against him while he held her hand.  Her lips were smooth against his chapped lips, Druig felt like he consumed a drug of sorts when he would kiss her over and over, almost in a trance or one of Sprite's too-real illusions as she kissed him back.   Her spare hand was reaching up to cup his jaw, for she too wished to keep him close as they kissed back and forth for a good solid minute.
Clío would always get lost in her mind when they would kiss, ever since they kissed for the first time under the stars she would always feel both filled to the brim with love and lost at sea at the same time. She could feel his love when he kissed her, the hint of innocence and the flicker of devotion was always present and a routine feeling.
Maybe it was the flicker of emotion that was stirring inside of the pair of them, or even still having the high from the feast they were at moments before, but something was awakening inside them both as their kissing was processing from gentle and sweet to intense and bold.  Yet there was no hesitance in either one, Druig's arm around Clío's waist pulling her closer to him while her fingers were slowly drifting to sink into his hair.
He loved that feeling of her fingers in his dark locks, almost like a weakness that no one else ever knew.  The softness of her palm against his brown hair and close to his skull nearly made him crumble as he pressed a hard kiss against her lips, whimpering a bit as her fingers slightly curled.
She gave the softest tug, and a groan was heard from his lips from that action.
Clío heard it instantly and she felt warm all over, pulling away from Druig as he was trying to chase after her lips.  But she placed some distance from him, searching his eyes to see how they looked so warm with the blue almost heightened.  His breath was short and he gulped, maybe thinking he did something wrong to mess with the moment.
Yet her eyes were showing no remorse, they were in fact just as bright and true as Druig's eyes.  Both of their feelings were heightened out there on the balcony as Druig searched her orbs.  Maybe he was going to say they can slow down, they can simply just enjoy the rest of the night together.  But she was the first one to speak, her voice sounding honest and bare.
"It's okay," She replied, those two simple words that seemed like nothing to anyone else.  But to Druig, he knew she meant more than just the kiss.  She was willing to be vulnerable to her and vice versa, there was no wall between them and no secret that they would keep from one another.  The openness and vulnerability were something that never diminished or changed, and Druig felt it as he searched her hazel orbs.
He then knew what she was saying, and his eyes got a bit bigger.
"You sure?" He asked, his voice sounding a bit hoarse as she nodded her head slowly.  Although she nodded, Druig was still hesitant.  Clío leaned in a bit, almost nose to nose to peer into his blue eyes and have him somewhat feel her energy with him in front of her.  She softly smiled, Druig thinking of her smile alone as a radiant ray of sunshine that would always brighten his day.  Clío's smile alone would cure all the broken pieces of his heart and soul, mending it back together with ease.
"More sure than anything on this planet," She replied, her voice remaining soft and her eyes never leaving Druig.  Her fingers moved to cradle his jaw again, her thumb close to his plump lower lip as they remained staring at each other intensely. Druig was almost worried to move first, his heart beating out of his chest and his breath heightened as her thumb then traced his lower lip.  Such a simple gesture made him tremble.
He was a goner, and he leaned in to kiss her badly.
Humming against his lips, Clío grinned and returned her kiss as he was holding her so close in his arms and pulling her away from the balcony, away from prying eyes that could be watching.  His body was on autopilot really, he was only focusing on kissing Clío and running his fingers along her waist.  Her curves under his dress seemed so inviting to Druig as he couldn't stop his lips from touching hers.
But his fingers started to wander, attempting to undo some of the ties that were holding her dress together.  Although he was still occupying his lips, he could tell he was stumbling on how to undo her dress.  Clío must have sensed it, giggling against his lips as Druig finally huffed and pulled away, looking down at her dress and seeing the intricate wraps.
"How do I get this off?" He asked in a breath, Clío had to laugh at how he was looking at the dress now in a managing way and now with love as he did earlier.
"You in a rush then, are you?" She asked back as Druig merely smirked.
"Can ya blame me?" He countered back to her, though they both were grinning like mad at how they were acting.  Druig knew he was going to take a huge step with Clío, yet at the same time, they both were so calm and light about this too.  He should be a bit nervous about this, he's never done this with anyone before.  Nor could he remember if he did, so this was going to be something that was going to change him forever.
However, this felt right with Clío.  She made his heart sing ever since she smile at him for the first time there on the Domo.  Her voice alone was a calming presence in his chaotic mind and chaotic thoughts, and a simple touch of her hand would bring him to his knees.  Clío was all Druig could ever want and need, solely because she made him feel so worthy on Earth when others wouldn't.
"Here, grab this part right here," Clío said to him carefully, placing his hand right along a small knot that was along her lower back.  Druig watched, his fingers touching the bunched fabric with her fingers there too, seeing the dark orange color of the dress in contrast to her fair skin.  Once he had some of the material in his grasp, Clio curled into him a bit more as she framed his face in her hands, making his eyes look right at her since she could tell he was having a moment of panic.  Reading Druig like a book was something Clío was good at, and now she could see the wheels turning in his mind at such. Frantic pace.
"Just you and me, okay?" She reminded him, seeing him gulp as she pressed a light kiss under his right eye, "I trust you, I trust us.  Nothing else matters to me than what I feel for you, Druig."
Druig felt those words sink under him, becoming concrete within himself.  Having another person love him, purely love him with no hesitance and no restrictions, made Druig feel so human.  It was the first time he felt human, no matter how long he's been on Earth and around humans to watch them grow and evolve, now he felt what they felt when it came to love.  All thanks to Clío and her never-ending love for him.
With one simple tug of the knot he was clutching, the top part of the garment she wore fell off of her instantly.
Her undergarments she wore were still on, but the dress was now pooled around her feet as Druig looked with some shock on his face.  The curves along her hips and thighs were evident, her freckles contrasting her skin and almost making her look like she was shimmering.  He always knew she was beautiful, but now she seemed beyond radiant for him to see.
"How did it do that?" He asked suddenly, Clío grinning with a hint of blush on her cheeks as she shrugged.
"Makkari showed me how.  She hates how long it takes to get the dress on, so she showed me this trick to make it fast," She explained, sounding nonchalant about it.  But she saw the look he had on his face as he drank in the sight of her, only in her undergarments and showing more skin to anyone than she ever would for anyone else.  If it was anyone else she would feel petrified, but not with Druig.  Not with the very Eternal who saw her beauty from the inside out and brought her more joy and love than she could ever imagine.
"Here," She said, reaching for his clothes and she started to undress his shirt for him as he still looked at her body in such a longing way.  Taking off the fewer buttons that were on his shirt, she pushed the garment up, bunching it around his armpits to have him move his arms up.  Although she was moving soft and slow, taking in the moment with Druig and seeing his skin more and more exposed for her, Druig simply threw the long shirt off and tossed it to the floor with impatience.  His bare chest in front of her, breathing a bit harshly as Clío laughed from his antic, Druig ruffled his hair and dived in to kiss her again.
"You're far too impatient," Clío murmured against his lips, though she slightly moaned as he licked her lower lip with his tongue to open her mouth more.
"And you're far too beautiful," He replied just as softly while his fingers were running along her bare arms and then her waist to feel the thin material against his calloused fingers, "They should have a shrine of your beauty, big enough to block out the sun, and yet it would still fail in comparison to how you look to me,"
"I don't want a shrine," Clío explained as her fingers were running down his chest and touched along his hips where his pants were hanging low, "I don't want anyone else to look at me in such a way.  I just want you to love me,"
Druig stared at her dead in the eyes, his fingers freezing from going under his garments to touch her bare skin along her hips.
"I'll love you until there's nothing left in me, Clío.  I promise ya," He vowed to her.  Clío smiled so wide, her heart feeling like it could explode with all that she was feeling in that second from hearing Druig say such things.  Within a second, Druig wrapped Clío in his hold to pull her towards the large bed that was already turned down, the sheet cool to the touch as he was sitting on the edge of the bed and he had her sitting in his lap within a moment.
Clío gasped from the sensation, her arms linking around his neck as his hands found her bare thighs, her undergarments tucked up to pool around her hips.  She felt his pants along her core, and her breath heightened for a moment as he drank in the image of her.  Clío, perched on his lap in her nearly bare undergarments and her hair down to frame her face.  Both were still for a second or two, knowing that there was no turning back on what they wished to do.  But neither of them cared.
"I love you," Druig hummed to Clío as he peered up at her, his hands rubbing her thighs carefully and soothingly to almost calm her nerves while she looked down at him.  He kissed her softly, no longer rushing or desperate as it was moments before when this all started.  He was now going to take his time, unfolding each layer that Clío had and he was not going to hold back.  One hand moved to the straps on her shoulder blade, touching the thin martial that would be the only obstacle in the way of having her completely bare in front of him. After pausing for a moment, Druig hummed softly at Clío while he kissed her in a way to ask permission.
"Yes," She whispered back, moving her arm for him to let the strap fall and her arm moved out.  He moved to the other strap, Clío doing the same while they were still kissing and caressing each other on the edge of the bed.  Once both straps were finally freed, the top of her undergarment slipped down to her waist. Clío, bare from the waist up, shivered from the cold that she felt against her skin because of the chilling air.
"God, Clío," Druig full out moaned as his hands moved up to cup each breast that was right in front of him, Clío gasping from feeling his palms along her nipples as he kissed her jawline and down to her sensitive neck, "You feel amazin', I can't stop touchin' ya no matter how hard I try,"
"Don't," Clío softly pleading as his kisses along her neck were going lower and lower with every press of his lips along her skin, "I…I don't want you to ever…stop…Druig!"
She nearly cried out as his lips circled one nipple and he started his kisses there.  Clío clung onto him for dear life, still in his lap and her fingers were once again digging in his hair as he was still touching and caressing her chest with both his lips and his hands.  Clío could feel everything around her and yet not enough at the same time, her skin felt so electric with every ship of his tongue or every brush of his fingertips.  It was nothing that she's ever felt before, the most beautiful feeling she's ever felt up until that moment in time.
Clío knew of humans touching like this, hearing stories from the others, or accidentally seeing humans in the act when they were hiding away in the shadows or alleyways.  It never occurred to her that she would feel what they feel, the pleasure building inside of her that seemed all-consuming.  Of course, love could be felt in so many ways, shapes, and forms, but now she was experiencing it in a whole new light with the very being that gave her the definition of love.
Her hands moved from his hair and neck and downwards, touching his chest and along his ribs, before they descended further and further to where his pants were.  There was an evident bulge there, she could feel it against her leg.  Her fingers were lightly touching the top of the bulge, feeling Druig shiver as he moved from kissing one breast to another.  Clío's fingers moved again, a bit bolder now as her hands went to touch the top of his pants along the hem.  His stomach full-on quivered as Druig pulled away from kissing her breasts to let out a shaky moan.  Clío thought he sounded heavenly, open, and raw for no one else to hear or experience as his breath was shaky against her skin
He looked right up at Clío, his eyes dilated and mirroring the very pleasure he was feeling as her hand slipped down into his pants and touched him.  He gasped out, Clío seeing how heavenly he appeared.
If this was how love was truly supposed to be felt, then Clío would want it forever with him.
"Fuck," he gasped out as her hand moved, his mind completely shutting down and was only filled with pleasure he was feeling all over.  Having the love of his life there, bare and open for him to witness, gave him the same amount of blinding pleasure and the feeling as if he could fly like Golden Boy Ikaris.  But he highly doubted Ikaris would be able to truly feel this bliss, even with all his cockiness and bravado.  Not with how Druig was feeling it in his toes and along his spine, how he could even put a sentence together as Clío would twist her wrist or pick up her pace a bit faster.  He was no longer in control, but he liked it.
Clío could bring him to his knees and he wouldn't care.
"Druig," Clío hummed his name, softly to get his attention.  Druig looked right into her eyes, seeing how they shined and stayed consistent in his gaze.  He wanted to say something but he was feeling too much, her movement was at a slow rhythm, but teasing and yet taking care of that itch that he had.  It was building, almost like climbing a peak, and was about to slide right back down.  His eyelids were heavy and his breath was still shallow, his skin was so sensitive and his heart was pounding.  But now he was focusing on Clío, who was watching him as if he was the most precious thing in her possession.
"You okay?" She asked as a small tug of a smile was on her lip.  She felt that tension building more and more.  Clío merely wanted to check in with Druig and see if he was alright, even in the heat of the moment and with her hand around his cock.  It seemed rather silly for him to ask since he was already on cloud nine, so close to being on the brink of orgasm with the love of his life, but he finally found his voice.
"More than," He replied, his voice sounding like he had run a for at least an hour.  His fingers were clinging to her for dear life, almost like she was an anchor in an ever-rough ocean that was throwing him all over the place.  But he carefully moved her hand, letting her release his cock with such reluctance as she eyes him carefully.  He shook his head and moved to stand up, letting her stand up too as he wrapped her in his arms and twirled them to have her on the bed.
It didn't matter that his pants were now bunched around his thighs and his cock was standing erect and exposed to the air to have him shake, his mind was now on Clío as she was now sprawled out on the bed.  His mind was solely focused on making Clío feel just as good as he was feeling.  Her skin was soft against his fingers as they moved along her chest and ribs, her eyes shining from the candles lit in the room, and her red hair sprawled around her head like the rays of the sun.  Druig merely saw her as a Goddess, a true Goddess that should be worshiped from sun up to sun down.
And he was going to worship her with everything he had.
His fingers grazed her hips and then slowly descended, her long and thick thighs quivered from the touch of his palms as they were finally reaching her core.  He kept his eyes on her as his digits were now slowing along her folds, seeing the reaction in her eyes as her body nearly buckled.  She felt divine under his finger and under her gaze, Druig couldn't think of any other image that was just as angelic as Clío sprawled out on the bed and being pleasured by him.
Clío felt as if she could hover above her own body as his fingers were moving along her folds, making her wet before she knew it.  She could feel her hands shaking from how much she was feeling, Druig reached over with his spare hand and held her hadn't tight right near her head as one finger was finally slipping inside of her.  Clío moaned, her body arching from the sensation as Druig never stopped his movement.  Of course, he's never done this before with another person, but reading the minds of human men in passing or when they were talking to one another gave him enough pointers on how to pleasure a woman.  Even at the time, he thought nothing of it, merely something humans did.
But now he was doing the very thing to Clío, and watching her melt under his touch was amazing.
"Oh….oh Druig….I…" Clío couldn't even talk about how much she was feeling, her pleasure was felt everywhere and within her at the same time.  Druig leaned down to kiss her all over her face and neck, slipping another finger inside of her and feeling her shake even more.  The peak was coming for her, so close to breaking into a million pieces that he was afraid it would come too soon. But how could that be, when she felt so good under Druig?
Druig finally pulled his fingers out, both Clío and Druig looking with a glazed look at how wet his fingers were as her thighs were quivering and her hips moved on their own accord for a brief moment.  Druig's eyes widen at the sight, Clío was trying to catch her breath. But they were thinking the same thing.
"You're so fucking divine, Clío," Druig said in a grumble as he looked from his fingers to Clío, watching her for a brief moment before he slicked up his cock with the juices from his fingers.  Part of them wanted to rush, and another part want to this moment and let it drawl out. But this one place in time could change everything for them.
So he took the chance, looking at Clío directly in the eyes as he guided his cock into her entrance.
It took some time, inching in little by little to merry make sure Clío was comfortable.  He could sense and feel it, how tight it was around him as he leaned down to be nose-to-nose with Clío.  Watching her squirm a bit and almost squint, he stopped and kissed her face all over, waiting ever patiently to sink in further.  He would wait for however long it took for her to let him in, her legs bracketing his hips and her hands clinging to his back as she breathed out a deep long breath.  He kissed away the discomfort on her face and the trembling of her jaw as he inched in a bit more, feeling her wrapped around his cock too tightly.  But it felt beyond amazing to him, feeling her walls around him in such a vice grip.
Was this what he was missing this whole time?  He won't ever miss out on it again.
"You okay?" he asked against her lips, feeling her nod and cling onto him a bit tighter as he pushed the hair out of his eyes, "Clío, you…you feel so amazin'."
Clío took in a long breath, feeling how he was snug against her walls and filling her to the brim.  It was a nice sensation, almost consuming her inwardly and externally as she found her voice too.  Reaching up with a shaky hand, she touched his lips with her fingers as she shakily said, "I can feel you everywhere, Druig."
Druig could have crumbled if he could, then finally moved in the last inch to be fully inside of her.  He moaned, stopping and trying to collect himself before his hips would move.  There was no other feeling like this one, nothing could come close to how he felt as though their souls were finally intertwining.  In the physical act of love, being connected not just emotionally but now physically made him beyond emotional.
Clío noticed the small tear that was in the corner of his eyes as she reached up to cup his face.
"Druig?" She asked, searching his blue eyes and wondering what was making him cry at a time like this.  But Druig shook his head, inhaling sharply in hopes that he could hide it, and was about to turn his face away before Clío framed his jaw in her fingers.  Eyes locked, both staying still while he was deep inside of her, and Clío spoke again, "I'm right here, Druig.  Let go….just let go and be here with me,"
A simple request meant everything to Druig.  So he did.  He let go.
His body knew what to do before he could, his hips started to roll as he held her close against him.  Clío let him, her head against his own as they were breathing one another in and feeling his pleasure come over him.  Druig only wanted to savor this moment, trying his best to let Clío feel so good and feel that same intense love he had for her.
Every push into Clío made Druig feel that insane pleasure up and down his spine, it was almost cosmic to him how much he was feeling and experiencing.  Up until that moment, he only had an inkling of what humans felt.  He wasn't human himself, only watching it from the sidelines all that humans did with one another.  The good and the terrible.
Not this, not with how he was feeling.
He peered down at Clío as he was still rolling his hips, picking up his pace as his spare hand was clutching her hip.  Just seeing her underneath him, her hair sticking to her neck and shoulders, eyes rolled back in ecstasy and her spare hand clutched his arm in a death grip. Druig was watching Clío in such a vulnerable state
But to Druig, she looked beyond beautiful.
Skin flushed with a hint of sweat along her freckles, lips plump and deep ruby red from being bitten a few times by both himself and Clío, and simply her entire energy was open and vulnerable.  To be open with one another, in the most intimate way that any two beings could ever be, both expanded and broke Druig's heart at the same time.  Maybe he was thinking too much at the moment, but he wouldn't trade this kind of affection, this kind of world-binding love, for anything else in the world. Druig knew then and there, he only wanted this with Clío and no one else.
She was his, and he was hers.
Clío focused back on Druig above her as he hit a certain spot deep inside of her making her almost howl.  Once she saw him, she almost faltered for a moment from what he was witnessing.  Druig, hunched over her and cradling her in his arms as if she was the most valuable gem or mineral on the planet, sweat plastered along his own body and his hair against his forehead, but with evident tears in his eyes.
Druig was crying.
Clío felt it too, maybe they were feeling it together.  That sense of being one in the heat of the moment and everything else melts away.  Even as their sweat was mingling together, the gasps and moans they both were sharing in unison almost like they were creating their own melody.  Sheets clinging onto Clío's backside, sweat pooled Druig's chest and breath was shortening, both of their peaks were so close to tipping over.
Clío leaned up and kissed Druig, touching his tears with her spare hand as he sped up a bit faster with his hips, still driving into her deeply and showing no signs of slowing down.  How could he, with how high he was feeling?  He was so close, kissing Clío and trying to make it last a bit longer.  He could also feel Clío tremble against him, the shaking of her thighs along his hips and her fingers catching his jaw for dear life.
She was even clutching his cock tightly, in a vice grip too deliciously tight.  She was close too.
"Clío…I'm about to—" Druig tried to warn her, but his breath was lost and he felt his entire body release that tension that was building over time.  He never felt something that intense before in his life, and his eyes slammed shut, and groaned loudly in the room.  The release almost made him paralyzed, making him too feel like he could float away from Earth and up amongst the stars.
He felt like he was, and he never wished to forget that feeling ever again.
It felt like the sensation was going to last forever, yet it wasn't just Druig who orgasmed in that breath.  Clío did too, her entire body shaking from the sudden orgasm.  No matter all the rumors she heard from the humans in the past, of the undertone whispers from the other Eternals, feeling it herself was almost cosmic, to say the least.  And to think Druig was the one who was bringing her this kind of cosmic sensation. which made Clío love him all the more.
Finally, as the heat of the moment was slowly dwindling within the room and their labored breathing, Druig and Clío locked eyes with each other.  Nothing else seemed to matter to either one of them, just simply realizing that they took this step together.  Druig still kept his hands on Clío, not wishing to let her go or not be able to touch her.  Maybe she was sensing the same, clinging onto him while she felt like she was descending back to earth again.  The only thing that was making her know it was real was Druig pressing kisses all over her, his lips along her neck and eyelids, and then over to her chin and collarbone.
Druig was the first to smile, genuinely smile, as if he was getting her for the first time all over again on the Domo so long ago.  Clio broke out into her smile too, the pair of them breathing out almost a sigh of relief and some giggles too.
"Did we just do that?" She asked, clearly still catching her breath and feeling her heartbeat still pounding against her chest.  Druig nodded, kissing her face all over again to hear her squeal in delight.
"Yeah, yeah we did," he hummed against her skin, still reeling himself.  His skin was buzzing and almost vibration, his mind was on overdrive in replaying all that happened moments before, and yet at the same time he was so glad he could enjoy this blissful moment with Clio.  Even after such a life-changing event, they both were feeling lighter than ever and had no sense of regret or remorse.
Druig carefully pulled out, sensing the small discomfort from Clio as he tried to go as smoothly as he could.  Once he was completely out, he moved quickly to grab a rag that was near a washing basin, next to the door. He almost wobbled from the new sense of gravity, but he never slowed as Clio perched up a bit in bed.
"Dru?” He heard her ask.
"Hang on!" He replied over his shoulder, getting the rag wet in the basin before ringing it out and jogging a bit back to Clio.  Seeing her still naked, perched on top of the now ruined sheets, and grinning at him made his heart beat a bit faster as he climbed back onto the bed with her.  Carefully and with precision, he wiped both himself and Clio down from both the sweat and the mess that was accumulated.  Clio let him, feeling the gentle swipes of the rag along her skin.  It was a soothing touch, humming as he was getting her cleaned up again before tossing the rag to the ground and wrapping her in his arms.
They both said nothing, simply letting the coolness of the night come into the room and the sounds of the party still fill their ears.  Clio's head on his chest, her hair cascading down along his shoulder and arm made Druig grin like a made man as Clio had her arms around his lower waist.
Neither of them knew at the time, but it was the start of their relationship deepening.  The new path was now laid out and waiting for the pair of them to follow.  Not simply because they were falling in love with one another, they already were.  But in their minds, their souls were now intertwined for the better with no signs of being separated ever again.
The End

Pairing: Makkari x gn!reader (where reader wears a dress)
Word Count: 588
Synopsis: You don’t feel like you belong in her world.
Warnings: 18+, minors do not read or interact, slight angst, imposter syndrome
A/N: Day 17 of Marvel Girlfriend May (please don’t check the date) is for Makkari!! ❤️ I love her!! As always, please reblog if you enjoy my writing.

"Turn around,” she signs, looking you up and down as her mouth curves into a smirk.
You follow her order with reluctance. The blue dress swishes lightly, the hem just grazing the floor as you move. You feel naked in it, and your face is flushed with heat. “I feel like a slight breeze would tear it off me,” you half-joke, signing the words as you turn to face her again.
She steps forward, wrapping her arm around your waist and pulling you into her side. She turns her gaze to the mirror, the two of you standing together, you in blue, her in red. With one hand, she signs the word, “Beautiful.”
You think about what to say. That you’re nervous, that you want to make a good impression on her family, that this dress really feels too flimsy, but none of it seems important when she’s looking at you like this.
You peer at yourself in the mirror. The dress is stunning, but can you really pull it off?
She seems to think so.
“Okay,” you sigh, viscerally aware of how heated your face feels under her attention. “You win.”
Her smile becomes a victorious grin.
Tumblr media
It’s blissfully quiet outside, away from the chaos that is Makkari’s family. You’d expected as much, but it was still a little overwhelming to actually be there, sitting among gods.
You run your hands up your bare arms and plant your elbows on the balustrade. Kingo’s place is ridiculously impressive. The view over the rest of the city alone must have cost him a fortune. And now you’re here, watching the stars above reflect the twinkling lights of the city below, wondering how they haven’t kicked you out yet.
You can’t shake the feeling you don’t belong here.
A whoosh of air hits you from behind.
“Kari,” you murmur to yourself, glancing behind and seeing her there, behind you.
“Is everything okay?” she signs. There’s a tension in her gaze, a protectiveness you’ve seen only a few times before.
“I’m okay,” you promise with a smile. “Your family is wonderful.”
She snorts. “That’s one way to put it.”
You don’t want to disappoint her. The only person who has truly cared for you, the only person who has ever wanted to take you to meet their family, and you feel like an imposter because of it.
She tilts her head, eyes searching yours.
But how can you tell her any of that? You can’t let her think the worst of you.
“Are you cold?” she signs.
You look down at your arms, the skin slightly raised as the cool breeze washes over you, and nod.
The wind whooshes as Makkari blurs away, returning before you can even blink. She holds out a blue cardigan, the shade a perfect match to your dress.
You frown. “And where did you get that?”
She just shrugs, a mysterious glint in her eyes, and holds it out to you.
“Kari,” you laugh, heat rising to your face as you put it on. You breathe a sigh of relief. It’s a flimsy piece of clothing, but it brings a sense of security you didn’t have before. “Thank-you.”
She nods, and the look in her eyes says it all. She'll do anything for you, you realise with a slight intake of breath, because she thinks you belong together. It’s hard to deny it, not when you feel the same for her.
Melting at her wordless declaration, you let her take you back inside to her family.

Rando Eternals shit: - I haven’t read these issues but according to TV Tropes, but apparently in some of the pre-Gaiman reboot books, Makkari used a lot of outdated slang for the obvious reason that, of course, he’s an ancient immortal trying to catch up to the modern day, and I wish this detail was still around. In my heart it is and she’s totally signing stuff like “tubular” and “cat’s pajamas” and Shaw absolutely thinks she is Clearly Very Hip & Current (*sobs*) - I really like it when writers remind us that these aren’t just immortal humans, these are things that only LOOK human but operate on totally different rules, and what I love even more is when they’re portrayed as kind of SCARY for it. Not scary just in that they have incredible super powers, LOTS of people in the Marvel universe do, but like. . .like an Uncanny Valley thing? Like there’s this bit in Gaiman’s story where Thena, who was transformed into a human by Sprite who rewrote reality so she had a human husband and human son, gets her memories back and transforms into herself. And her son Joey comes in and goes “momma?” and Thena assures him that it’s still her, but the narrative boxes reveal “And even as she says it, she knows it isn’t true” as she picks him up BY THE BACK OF HIS SHIRT like she’s scruffing an animal, not at all how a mother picks up a son. And she largely handles him that same way for the rest of the book, even as she’s protecting him; one Deviant scoffs when she calls him her son, countering that “you’re not even the same species, he’s your pet” and whatever her voice says, he body language agrees. And right after this, she steps outside and sees Ikaris hovering there, golden eyes aglow, and the narrative boxes say how she realizes now why the humans mistook them for gods because “Nothing human. Nothing human could look like that.” And Gaiman’s series also has this VARIANT COVER that depicts the Eternals as monstrous, even though they’re the protagonists of this series (well, protagonists and villains, much like the Inhumans most of their problems come from their own people, which I also enjoy, they’re not superheroes they’re a weird and fundamentally alien culture that is more fun to explore than just use for big battle stories) Like they’re FREAKY AF. And while I think their Uncanny Valley Inhumanity should probably be being Too Perfect and a general SENSE of power and strangeness if they’re not masking it---like, they can walk among humans, Sersi presents as a normal fab party girl ALL THE TME---this gets the same disturbing VIBE across, but it’s sadly a vibe that I think it’s more something people would FEEL when they see them for what they truly are and can’t really be portrayed visually in screen or panels. I imagine that Phoenix Jean has a similiar vibe when she goes off, and I like to think once in awhile Haven does too, like this shadow of a sense that this thing is only human -shaped (I mean Haven is human but she had a cosmic entity in her uterus 20 years I feel like that should just sort of pass through every once in awhile like a ghost’s ghost) - In the latest trade paperback I got of Gillen’s reboot, it includes quotes/notes from him and he says “The Eternals have a complicated and contradictory history, which meant that one of my goals was trying to synthesize it into all one tapestry. “Turn continuity into mythology” was my line. As such, you had to look for ideas and connections, hints and interpretation. It literally can’t all be true---it contradicts. What’s a reading that could make sense? [. . .] I hope many of these [previous] stories now read more like propaganda or warped memories of a more complicated truth, in the light of everything we now know. Yes, this is all true. . .just incomplete. [. . .] I really tried to at least have an interpretation of all earlier stories that was at least kinda true.” And honestly, I really like this? While I didn’t like all the changes his reboot of their lore and history made, I really think this is a GREAT approach to the source material that is, as he said, often contradictory, and a good approach to comic book lore in general for writers. Also, I do have to admit that the changes he made that I didn’t care for---namely, they no longer actually are/have biological families with each other, they were all created at the same time now and grouped into family roles by The Machine, so Zuras and Cybele aren’t REALLY Thena’s parents in the human sense, for instance--does serve to make them that much farther removed from human ways of doing and being.  Of course, as much as this makes me admire him on the background reading he clearly did for this and for Exodus, it makes me that much more annoyed how he fudged/retconned Shaw’s background and never brings up his amnesiac self’s relationship with Hope even though clearly he’s a guy who does his goddamn homework. I just...I like Gillen but god I’m so tired of EVERYONE giving my dude the shaft while going above and beyond with bringing back old lore for other characters. Like jfc what did I do?  Also sorry I know this isn’t an Eternals blog and you didn’t follow for that but Oh Well.

𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆: still missing, Druig feels as though he has little time to find you before you slip through his fingers completely
𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀:  she/her pronouns used, fluff, a lot of dialogue, underlying angst, reader has telekinesis as her power
destroy me (pt 1) i’d recommend to read part one or this won’t make as much sense

now he just had to find you.
he knew he was wrong, just thinking that if the roles were reversed, if you had asked him to never fight again he would be upset at your distrust in him. he thought that it was okay, he just wanted to protect you; if something happened to you he’d never be able to recover, the rest of his immortal life would be spent in anguish. he needed you.
‘i fucked up,’ burying his head in his hands Druig continued, ‘Thena i really, truly fucked up. if Gilgamesh did something like this would you forgive him?’ lifting his head ever so slightly to look at her, he shifted to rest the side of his head in his hands instead of his face.
‘no.’ Druig’s face dropped, his eyes no longer full of remembrance and love instead clouded with wallow and sadness. ‘but,’ Thena continued, placing a supposed to be comforting hand on the mans back, ‘i’m not Y/N. she thinks differently to me; she loves you with her entire existence, i only love you because i have to put up with you.’ she looks up and lets out a small laugh at her humour then her gaze falls back to Druig. ‘and Gilgamesh wouldn’t do what you did in the first place.’
that’s it! Gilgamesh protects Thena by helping with his hands on, he doesn’t try to take over like Druig did; he had to be more like them. ‘go to her.’ the blonde haired woman spoke pulling Druig out of his thought process. his face scrunched at her words as if she was teasing him.
‘you know i can’t, i don’t know where she is.’ his words were bitter, venom spit from them in a pathetic attempt to hide how self conscious he had become. was she really toying with him now? ‘but i do.’ his head shot up at her words, his blue eyes piercing hers.
Thena stood, removing her hand from her friends back and moving it in front of him as a sign of help. grabbing it, he stood and followed as she lead him outside and away from the Domo. ‘she’s not out here, i asked Makkari to check.’ he tried to reason as to why Thena was dragging him through the battle fields and small communities of humans. no words came from the woman, just a small turn of her head and a look to say really?
he really had tried to find you but he didn’t go outside, he only asked Makkari and watched as she sped around the houses filling the dark fields but now he wasn’t so sure she actually checked. Druig remembered a time when Ikaris was shouting at Mikkari as if she could hear and being the kind soul you were, you walked up to him with a stride in your step and punched him with all the power in you. he was flung back into the wall of whatever room you were in and as you turned to Makkari you signed ‘we stick together, always’. Druig had witnessed it all but never would he have imagined you actually hurting the birdboy.
perhaps that’s what he loved about you; you were fierce and stood up for what you knew was right. that’s how he had gotten into his current position. you stood up for yourself and he tried to pull you down; what a great boyfriend he was. thousands of years together and he still had to be better than you.
his thoughts were interrupted as Thena suddenly halted in front of him. looking behind him, he saw they were now past the small villages and on the outskirts where the forests began. above him stood the widest tree and sat atop one of the thick branches was a figure. you. you had yet to react to them but he knew you knew they were there, your senses part of your power. ‘Y/N.’ Thena spoke proudly as if she didn’t want this little feud to end. that’s when you finally looked their way.
shifting on the branch, you turned to have your legs dangling off the side facing towards them as you spoke, ‘hi Thena! its good to see you again.’ you didn’t speak a word to your boyfriend. it was like you were going out of your way to pretend he wasn’t there. no. you were going out of your way to pretend he wasn’t there. with a small smile  and a rise of her brow, only visible to you, Thena took her leave and began walking back to the Domo alone leaving you with just Druig.
‘Y/N i-’ he stopped talking as you moved once again only to shift your body to face the other way, your legs now dangling down the other side. taking a breath he continued, ‘i apologise, my love, i really am sorry. you are your own person and although i love you more than anything on this godforsaken planet i accept that you are free to do whatever you please and it was ridiculous for me to ask you to never put yourself in the face of danger again. i’m sorry.’
falling back you watch as the man rushes to catch you only for you to catch your legs on the branch and dangle upside-down. at least you were looking at him now. taking the final few steps towards you he cupped your cheek, your face the same height as his as if fate had planned for this moment; in this weird world maybe it had.
‘my beautiful, beautiful Y/N, even upside-down you’re still the most precious thing i’ll ever lay my eyes upon.’ he stood up straight and joined his lips to yours in a silent apology.
accepting it, you kissed back opening your mouth in a silent oath that you were still his. pulling away he smiled at you as he tried to touch foreheads only to be met with your chin instead. letting out a laugh you pulled your top half back up and jumped off backward allowing your power to stop you before you broke your legs hitting the floor.
turning around to face you, Druig immediately pulled you into him, his forehead finally finding peace against yours. ‘i’m with you till the end of time darlin no matter how dangerous our life is.’ he breathed out as he smiled, ecstatic to be in your presence again. pulling away and slinging his arm around your shoulder you walked back to the Domo together talking it out and becoming one whole again through the candle lit village.
eventually stumbling into Thena she gave you both a knowing look as she saw you being in the comfort of one another again. ‘you know, Thena gave me the best advice earlier without really saying anything.’ your boyfriend spoke as you walked back to your shared room together finally calling it a day.
‘i know, i heard. you’d really let me burn down the house?’

Druig is really close with the human reader who is incredibly smart and one day they are acting off so he slips into their mind to find be can barely understand them. They are (autistic or have disabilities. Something nurodivergent). They feel ashamed so never told him. But he thinks it's beautiful that their brain is so unique.
Reflections - Druig x Autistic!Reader
Words: 893
Warnings: none
Requested by: Anon
Author's note: This was a request from last year that I was finally able to sit down and write. My friends actually helped me figure out how to describe autistic traits in this because I'm autistic, so writing this was sort of difficult. I definitely have them to thank. Also, I am still taking request if you want to send me an idea to write. I hope you enjoy!

“I definitely feel like Sprite could pull off a heist,” I told Gilgamesh, who chuckled as he pulled the cookies he was making from the oven. Thena walked into the kitchen and smiled at Gilgamesh before walking to me, standing beside me as we watched the large man move around to put more cookies into the oven. I looked at Thena, watching as she looked around the large kitchen. “Are you still not used to it?” I asked her, watching as the blonde looked at me.
“I’ll get used to all of us being in the same place again eventually,” She told me before smiling. A loud crash came from behind us, making me jump and turn quickly to see Makkari smiling that she had collected more artifacts. I let out a shaky breath before smiling at the woman. I saw a mask of gold and grabbed it, watching as Makkari looked at me.
“You stole King Tut’s funerary mask?” I signed, watching as she smiled before she shook her head. I tilted my head slightly as I watched her move her hands.
“I borrowed it,” She signed back, making me laugh before I looked at it, reading the hieroglyphs that were on the shoulders. Makkari looked at it before looking at me. “What does it say?” Makkari asked, making me set the giant mask down on the table before looking back at the deaf Eternal.
“It’s a spell from the Book of the Dead. The ancient Egyptians believed that there were Gods and Goddesses, like Thena. They asked the deities that they believed in to protect the people they loved, family members, friends, Kings and Pharaohs. They wanted the people they cared about to get to the afterlife safely,” I told Makkari, watching as she nodded before looking behind us, making me turn to see Druig and Sersi walk into the kitchen.
“How do you know all of that? You immortal or somethin’?” Druig asked, making me shake my head before laughing softly. I looked at the other Eternals, watching as they turned to look at me. A sense of unease filled my veins and I looked at Makkari, smiling at her before I walked past Druig and Sersi, grabbing a jacket and leaving the house quickly. I walked through the path in the woods, walking to the pond that was in the middle. I walked down the dock and sat down, listening to the trees and bugs, feeling my body relax slowly.
“I didn’t even know this place existed,” I heard the familiar accented voice say, making me turn to see Druig standing at the edge of the dock. He smiled softly at me, making me smile slightly before resting my head on my arm.
“You followed me?” I asked him, watching as he shrugged slightly before walking down the dock, stopping when he stood next to me. The Eternal sat down next to me and looked out towards the water.
“Your thoughts were deafening. I wanted to check up on you,” he replied, making me frown before I looked out towards the water. “I couldn’t understand your thoughts though. It’s like your brain is different from regular humans.” The brunet said, making me turn to look at him. I tightened my hand into a fist before relaxing it, stress filling my veins. “You’re not like normal humans, are you?”
“I’m autistic. It’s something that makes me think and do things differently. I have special interests and there are things that bother me more than it would bother a normal person. I didn’t want any of you to know,” I told Druig, a frown resting on my lips as I looked away from him. I felt Druig’s hand rest on my knee, making me look at his hand before looking up at him. “I trust you guys, I really do. I just never knew how to explain it to any of you since you don’t have to deal with anything like this. I’m sorry you had to find out like this.” I apologized, running my thumb over the ring on my pointer finger. The brunet grabbed my hand, making me look up at him quickly.
“Never apologize for something you can’t control. Especially something that makes you so unique,” he told me, making me look over his features before nodding. He looked back out towards the water and sighed. We watched the birds fly over the pond for a while before he let out another sigh. “That’s how you knew about the Book of the Dead, isn’t it? You said you learn differently and have special interests, so you learned about ancient Egypt.” Druig said, making me look at him before nodding.
“I’ve been learning about ancient civilizations and mythologies for most of my life. When I met you guys, I was amazed to know that some of the myths were real,” I told him, watching as he threw his head back as he laughed. I smiled before spinning the ring on my finger.
“We’re not as mean as they portrayed us in the myths though.” Druig informed me, making me nod. I looked back at the water again and sighed. “I won’t tell any of them about what you’ve told me. I want you to be able to do that.” He said, making me nod before thanking him.

Shaking Confessions
Tumblr media
Druig x reader x Makkari word count: 1272 warnings: ANGST, crying, nightmares, abandonment issues, shirtless druig, druig calls reader sweetheart, no use of y/n, robin writing in an in-laws induced rage (ง'̀-'́)ง A/N: the reader views Druig and Makkari as parental figures and is in a younger body (think teenagerish). This isn’t poly, they’re concerned for someone who they basically view as their child/someone they’re very protective over. I would also like to ask the court to ignore how I wrote this within the span of an hour and had no intention of posting it because I was pissed off and here we are now.
“You haven’t been okay recently,” Druig states from across the room. “I’m sorry?” You look up from your desk to face him, quirking your eyebrow. “You’ve been quieter, more resigned.” Makkari signs. “I just lost two close family members and had another backstab us before flying into the sun, so pardon me if I haven’t been ‘okay’ recently.” you jab back at her. “Don’t take it out on her, she's just concerned.” Druig fired back with the same energy, ever ready to defend Makkari from your emotions. “I just need space, I only need space for a little while and then I’ll be back to my chipper self.” Makkari's face twisted, her eyes scrunched. “I don’t believe that,” her hands began to move again, “you’ve been like this since we found you.” You opened your mouth to defend yourself before the anger and realization won over all common sense. “Please just get out, I’m tired and I don’t need a lecture right now.” Druig looked ready to protest again but Makkari beat him to the punch, grabbing his arm and dragging him out of the room. You collapsed onto the corner edge of your bed, rubbing your hand over your shoulder to calm yourself down. You don’t owe them an explanation. Hell, Druig was the one who left. He caused your whole family to break up. You sighed and ran a hand through your hair. You're allowed to be upset. You nodded to the air before you jumped up and started to get yourself ready for bed. ‘What do they care anyway,’ you thought to yourself, ‘they have each other, always have. They didn’t need to worry about you.’ You changed into one of Druigs old shirts that you stole a few weeks ago and a pair of shorts, continuing to pace around your room. Trying to convince yourself you were in the right. It’s only when the lights are off and you're hidden underneath the warmth of your blankets does the smallest bit of guilt seep in. You can feel how tired you are peak in between the edges of your forming sadness. The bad feeling makes you uncomfortable, makes your skin crawl and your body squirm. You don’t like sitting in the feelings because that requires you to, well feel them. You let sleep win over, going down easy. Little did you know that the guilt wouldn’t throw in the towel so fast. That it would follow you to your dreams and transform them to nightmares.
You can feel the dirt beneath your feet, seeping in between your toes. Frogs croak all around you, the humidity making your hair frizz. You turn to look over your shoulder when you hear the first scream. Your head whips in the direction that it came from. Smoke dances across the sky, accompanied by more screaming and crying. You look over to the other eternals but they’re frozen in place next to you. You're trying to move- trying to help the people, Ajaks rules be damned, but you can’t. Your feet are cemented in place. You call out to Druig, begging him to make it stop, to end these peoples suffering. You cry out about how you don’t care that it will cause your family to break apart, that these people shouldn’t have to die. He doesn’t acknowledge you. You turn to look at Makkari, lifting your hands to sign. They are frozen to your sides. The other eternals turn around to walk away. You tried to call out to them again. Tried to plead to end the madness that was unfolding in front of you, but your mouth was stuck too.
You became a statue, subjected to watch the genocide unfold and then watch civilization build atop of Tenochtitlan. Watch the forest around you become apartment buildings, grocery stores, jewelry shops. And at the center of it all you watched yourself move in across the street, a darkness surrounded you as you took in the sights of where your family fell apart centuries ago. You sat, silent and still as a statue. You watched the world forget the tragedy that occurred right beneath their feet. And eventually, they forgot you too.
You awoke with a small cry. Your chest heaved as tears slid down your face. You placed your elbows on your knees and raked your fingers across your scalp, trying to forget the visions of you being abandoned and cemented in place. You let out a loud sob, your mouth betraying your command you’d sent to your body to suppress your emotions. The cries kept on coming as you saw flashes of your dream, over and over again. You threw your blankets off of your bed and placed your feet on the cold floor hoping it would ground you, but all you could feel was the dirt between your toes and your cries grew louder. You placed a hand over your mouth to muffle yourself before standing up to look for some water, something to help remind you that this was reality.
When your search came up empty your tears just began to flow faster. You threw open your door and flew into the hallway, towards the room that Druig and Makkari shared. Their door was left slightly ajar. You placed your hand on the cold stone before a dark voice in your head whispered ‘What if Druig’s still mad that you were rude to Makkari,’ you sucked in a gasp as the voice continued, ‘what if they’re tired of you pushing them away.’ You slid down the wall outside their door, “please stop,” you begged the voice. ‘They don’t love you anymore.’ Your body jolted forward with more crying. You knew, deep down, that you were just being ridiculous and that the voice was just a result of your heightened emotions and looming hysteria. You couldn’t distinguish that right now, though. You stood up and turned to go back to your room and stop bothering everyone with the sounds of your crying, as the door opened. You were greeted with a shirtless Druig, rubbing sleep out of his eyes and looking around to find the source of the sound that was, no doubt, keeping him up. “What’s going- hey what’s wrong, sweetheart?” He picked you up and placed you on your feet. “I just had a bit of a bad dream,” you sniffled, “I’m going back to my room now, sorry if I woke you up.” He considered you for a moment with concerned eyes before stopping you. “Why were you down here in the first place,” you shut your eyes before whispering, “I just didn’t want to be alone.” You felt strong hands maneuver you around and into Druigs chest. He soothed his hand up and down your back, shushing your gentle cries. “It’s all going to be okay, sweetheart, it’s all going to be just fine.” He walked the two of you backwards into the room before lifting you off of your feet and walking you over to the bed. He placed you on the mattress and you turned around to face a worried Makkari. “What happened,” She signed. “Bad dream,” you moved your hands in response as she wiped the tears off of your face. Your lip trembled and you moved underneath their covers, hiding your face in Makkari’s chest hoping to suppress your tears. Druig rubbed his hand up and down your back as he slid into the bed next to you. “You were right,” you sobbed. “What do you mean,” Druig responded looking at Makkari with a concerned look that you couldn’t see. “I’m not okay.”

A Thousand More...
Tumblr media
Masterlist
a.n.: I WROTE ANOTHER FANFIC!! and yes it's about Druig because I'm a whore for him, but my next one however will be about Mr. James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes, but for now enjoy another fanfic I wrote based on the song A Thousand Years by Christina Perri
Druig (what's new 💀) x fem!reader
warnings: suggestive dialogue but mostly fluff and sort of proof read (heavy on the sort of)
word count: 2,045
Heart beats fast
Colors and promises
We were sent here for a purpose. Destroy the Deviants and keep the humans safe. That’s all we were here for, right? Then why do am I almost getting myself killed while trying to make sure the man I’m in love with doesn’t die? Druig can take care of himself.
I don’t know how it started, but I know when. We were summoned on The Domo for the first time. I saw Phastos first. My first instinct was that I could trust him. I knew we’d be best friends and I was right. Sprite, feisty little one. Kingo, a bit of an ego, but a nice spirit, nonetheless. Ikaris, bold. Someone I felt that I would challenge one day. He also has older brother energy. Makkari, the kindest soul here. So pure and so full of love. Another close friend I sensed I would have. Sersi, full of compassion. We’d probably bump heads, but as someone I sensed would be like a sister figure, I didn’t doubt that we’d bump heads. Thena, another sister. I felt like I would need to protect her though. She’s bold like Ikaris, but with less of a god complex. Much humbler. Gilgamesh, more dad energy, but like a cool dad. Ajak, mother energy. I felt safe when I looked into her eyes. Lastly, I saw my love, Druig. I had never seen someone so beautiful. My heart felt like it was about to beat out of my chest. Everything just seemed so much brighter. The minute I saw him I knew my heart had made a promise to belong to only him.
How to be brave?
How can I love when I’m
Afraid to fall?
5000 BC Mesopotamia
“How is my favorite mind controller today,” I asked in a teasing tone to Druig. This is my most favorite part of the day. Teasing him when he’s minding his own business. I can tell he enjoys my company though. I see it in his eyes. Not the shimmering gold but the bright blue irises that I’ve fallen even more in love with.
“Better,” he said with a smile. “How’s my favorite flying fire starter today,” he asked with an equally teasing tone.
I started ranting about how Makkari stole my book and then ran off somewhere, “and of course, I can’t just chase after her for obvious reasons. Like I was just minding my business. Why-,” I continued on with my rant as he stared at me with such a loving look in his eye. I know that look because I have the same one when I look at him when he’s talking, fighting, breathing. I hope he never stops looking at me like that. I just wish I could allow myself to truly fall for him. Why am I so afraid?
But watching you stand
Alone
All of my doubt
Suddenly goes away
Somehow
Druig stood before us with tears in his eyes as the carnage happened below us. He was actually going to leave us. Seeing him stand up there with tears in his eyes looking so broken pushed away any doubt I had of not loving him. I didn’t get to ponder on the feeling too long due to hearing Druig say, “If you wanna stop me, you’re gonna have to kill me,” and then he turned around and just left. Didn’t even look my way. It’s times like this where I wish I could feel nothing because then I wouldn’t feel my heart breaking. After Ajak told us we could go our separate ways I took one last look around and flew away. From that moment on I learned to keep to myself. I never stayed in one place long enough and I made sure to keep myself hidden from the other Eternals, so I’d never be found.
1130 AD Iceland
Life in Iceland isn’t that much different than in Babylon. Different culture, but the people are nice. Whenever we’re not working, Sigrún, my best friend, and I go to see the Northern Lights. Sometimes when I’m looking up at the sky, I wish that Druig was here with me... It doesn’t do well to dwell on dreams.
“Y/N,” Sigrún shouted, “you were daydreaming again. Come on, who is it? You’ve been so quiet lately and whenever you finally talk it’s like you’re here but you’re not here.”Guess I wasn’t hiding it as well as I thought.
“Wouldn’t you like to know,” I teased.
“Uh, obviously. That was my whole point in asking.” She’s my best friend, yes, but I left that part of me behind. In order to leave it in the past, I cannot talk about it. “Well, if you must know, it's nobody. You know I just get in my thoughts sometimes.” Hopefully that will hold her off until I can come up with a better lie.
“Are you sure it’s not,” and then her eyes turned into that shimmering gold I wished to never see again.
“Druig?”
Time stands still
Beauty in all she is
I will be brave
I will not let anything
Take away
What’s standing in front of me
Druig’s POV:
I found her. I finally found her. God, she looks amazing even over 6000 years later. I come from behind a tree and face her. The only person who can render me speechless. Also, the only person who I’d rather die than see in pain, and when I look into her eyes all I see is pain. “What are you doing here? How did you find me?” These are the first words she says to me. She used to look at me like I put the stars in the sky and now she looks at me like I’m the scum of the Earth. I really messed up.
“I’d follow you to the ends of the Earth milady.” Nothing. She didn’t even blink.
“Why now? You had absolutely no problem not following me in Mesopotamia.” A fact that has haunted me since the day I left.
“You left me. You didn’t even look my way. You said what you said to Ajak and left. Is that something someone who would follow someone else to the end of the world would do,” she asks, “Did I not matter enough to you? I thought you loved me Druig. You talked about following Arishem blindly yet here I am the fool who followed you blindly just to be left in the dust. If you’re here to beg for forgiveness then forget it. I forgave you a long time ago. You did what you felt was best for you and now I must do what I feel is best for me.”
And then she flew away. In the blink of an eye, she was gone. I wish I could stop the tears from falling from my eyes, but in truth, I don’t want to. I deserved to feel this guilt. I put her through so much pain and might not ever get to make up for it, but I will spend eternity trying. If there’s one thing she said that was truly right was that I loved her and I still do.
1492 AD Guanahani
It’s so beautiful here. I never realized how much I loved islands until now. The people are so nice even though I’m not like them. In exchange for me lighting their fires, they let make food for me as well as their families. I also may or may not have gotten rid of this weird European man named Christopher away. Like death away because he was giving me weird vibes. I know I’m not supposed to be interfering with human matters, but since when do I listen to Arishem anyway? Anyway, I can’t help but still feel lonely. I have grown to love these people as I did in Iceland, but I miss my fellow Eternals. I miss Thena, and Sersi, and Phastos, and Gilgamesh. I lost contact with them years ago. Running away from Druig also meant running away from my other family. It hurts but seeing him hurts more. I’m planning to leave again. I’ve been here a tad bit too long. Might check out what’s going on in Italy.
1503 AD Italy
The Italian Renaissance. One of my favorite things these humans have created. Leo released the Mona Lisa to the public today. Probably one of my favorite paintings he’s made. No one knows this, but I made a bet with him that he couldn’t make a painting without having inspiration from someone or something. He obviously proved me wrong. She’s absolutely gorgeous. Reminds me of Sigrún. Speaking of, I believe I saw a glimpse of Druig the other day. It might’ve been my mind playing tricks on me. Is it bad that I wish it wasn’t? It’s been 6500 years. I stopped hating him so long ago, but I’ve just been too stubborn to admit it.
Every breath
Every hour has come to this
One step closer
I have died every day waiting
for you
Druig’s POV:
I think I almost got caught the other day. Yes, I’m watching over her don’t judge. I still watch over the Peruvians; I just also watch over her. I’m still waiting for the right time to talk to her again. I figured giving her another 6000 years would give her enough space before I tried. She’s in the courtyard today. Her skin practically glows against the cobalt fabric she’s wearing. I notice her turning too late though. She stares back at me, and I feel like I’m in a trance. I can’t move.
“I see you’ve found me again,” she says nonchalantly.
“I have. I told you I’d follow you until the ends of the Earth.” She doesn’t say anything. She just looks at me. I can’t quite place the look in her eyes and then, she kisses me. It’s not rushed and uncoordinated. Its slow and sensual. Like this is something we do every day.
“It’s been 6,128 years. 6,128 years of me trying to convince myself that the day you left is the day I stopped loving you. I can’t do it anymore. I can’t. I don’t want to.”
And all along I believed I
Would find you
Time has brought your heart
To me
Peru 1945
“My love, did you get the wood?” I hear Druig ask me.
“Yeah, it was by the tree in the middle, but Dario came and got it.” It’s been like this for the last 400 years. Not that I’m complaining. As much as I loved traveling, this is truly where my heart lies. Maybe not in the amazon, but wherever Druig is; you will find me.
“You know maybe my super cute and super strong boyfriend would like to get the wood for once.”
“I’ve already got wood for you, beautiful.”
“You’re disgusting and 100% the reason no one is about to see us for the next few hours.” He gives me a knowing smile and leads me to our little cabin.
Once we get in there though, the energy shifts. After a few minutes, he starts to speak. “I have something I need to ask you”
“What is it? You know you can talk to me about anything.”
Darling don’t be afraid
I have loved you for a
Thousand years
I’ll love you for a thousand
More
“I have loved you for thousands of years.” He says to me. I look in his eyes to detect any lies or hesitation. I find none.
“And I’ll love you for a thousand more,” I say with a smile.
“Only a thousand my love?”
I know he’s only joking, but I still feel the need to say, “Yeah. I think I may be tired of you after that.”
“I’m sorry to hear that because after this ring goes on your finger, you’re stuck with me for life.”
We finish our vows and then put on the rings we got for each other. We chose not to have a normal mortal wedding due to neither of us having a last name. Also, I think I prefer it being just us. I wonder how we’re gonna explain this to our fellow Eternals when the time comes.

i love your writing so much 💕 can you do more druig x makkari? more specifically jealous!druig??? anything with someone trying to make a move on makkari and druig stepping in protective/jealous
Author's note: decided to do a drabble for this one. Since I wasn’t really feeling this one, I’m probably gonna make more jealous drukkari fics in the future. Most likely steamy ones.
“Don’t forget the milk,” said Phastos as Druig and Makkari opened the front door. “And the cheese. And the-”
“Phastos,” Druig interrupted. “Just text us the list of things you need.”
“Right. Yeah. Thanks guys.”
Makkari gave him a warm smile before they headed out and closed the door behind them.
Staying with Phastos and his family for the past few days had been refreshing for the both of them after stopping the emergence, and Druig had always enjoyed the thought of teasing Phastos by teaching Jack a few cool tricks up his sleeve. Although Phastos hadn’t been thrilled about it, Jack seemed to love Druig and his cool abilities.
But now here they were. Makkari merely wanted a snack from the nearby grocery store, yet she ended up insisting on helping Phastos and Ben with their much needed groceries after she had seen how empty the fridge was.
However, when Druig sensed a man eyeing Makkari, he started to regret their trip to the grocery store. They were walking through the doors when Druig saw the subtle turn of head of the worker by the cashier towards Makkari. Yet Makkari, clueless as she was, just continued to locate the aisle she needed to find.
‘Go get the snacks, I’ll go find the stuff Phastos needs,’ Makkari signed, and before Druig was able to show any form of disagreement, she was already on her way to grab a cart along the end of the aisle.
He grumbled under his breath, but obliged with her request anyway. Not too long after, he spotted Makkari waiting by the same man who eyed her earlier, getting even more frustrated as he learned that the man could sign.
No matter how badly Druig wanted to control the people and tell them to move, he had to restrain himself and wait in line as he watched the man flirt with Makkari.
‘Do you live nearby?’ He signed whilst scanning the groceries.
‘I know a place for books if you’d be interested,” the man signed after Makkari had told him her love for knowledge
‘Can I have your number?’ Makkari shook her head apologetically at the request, however the man kept insisting, and when he leaned in to whisper something into her ear, that was when he crossed the line.
Druig made his way to the front of the line, constantly getting angry looks from the other people waiting in line.
“Hey,” he greeted, wrapping an arm around her before kissing her temple. “What’s taking so long? Jack is going to get grumpy if we don’t give him his snack.”
Instead of questioning him, Makkari leaned against his side to enjoy the comfort of his embrace. She smiled as she gazed at the groceries, nonchalantly bumping against Druig’s side repeatedly
As the man saw their slight intimate gesture, he proceeded on the rest of the groceries in silence, finally leaving her alone.
Makkari grinned as she swung the bags that held their snacks after they had finished paying, causing Druig to question, “What’s that stupid grin for?”
‘Jealous is a cute look on you,’ she signed, continuing to walk along the pavement.
“I’m not jealous,” he stated whilst signing. “Just saving you from a potentially awkward date that you don’t even want.”
‘What if I did want it?’
“You weren’t interested. It was written all over your face,” he mumbled, earning himself a look and a snort from the eternal that walked beside him.
‘I’ll agree. Just to make you feel better.’

Just seen Eternals for a second time and I just…LOVE THIS FILM!!
From the first second to the last, I enjoy every minute of it. I love the characters, the relationships, the dynamics, the visuals, the performances. It all connected with me and kept me invested throughout the long runtime. Never, in either showing, did I get bored or become aware of how long I’d been watching - which I did with Dune. Every character was given enough content for me to invest in them and understand them well enough throughout the plot - which isn’t an easy thing to do with a handful of characters - let alone 10. It was the one concern I had before seeing it - Will it balance the ensemble well enough? - and I honestly think it did. While I would obviously love to see more from them - I never felt like I didn’t get enough — which is a sign of success in my book.
Notes with spoilers and no order to them:
First off - Druig is my fave. I knew it from the moment he entered the screen and was very happy to see he didn’t become the villain and/or get killed off. That was a nice surprise - since that’s what always happens to the characters I decide I like. I will accept all the content about him - he is such an interesting character - even more so now I’ve watched it again. There is so much to say about him - though I can’t quite think up what that is in words yet - might have to wait for it’s full release. Though I will say one thing - and I saw someone else say this first and they were absolutely right - Druig isn’t grouchy/grumpy. He’s snarky and blunt about what he thinks/feels - but he’s not grumpy - I’d say Sprite actually fits that category better.
I obviously adore the relationship between Druig and Makkari - it may just be the best live action relationship I’ve ever seen - and I don’t usually get that invested in romantic stuff. I think it’s so compelling because they are using other forms of affection to show their love - like the forehead touches and hugging - rather than just kissing. It feels more refreshing to see other ways of showing affection - and not just in a romantic sense either - because there is so much more to love than just romantic. (I have no idea if that makes any sense). The same can be said about Dane and Sersi - they don’t just kiss each other to show they care for one another - I actually thought their most tender moments were when they embraced. I was definitely rooting for him over Ikaris.
Especially after this second viewing, I am super interested in the relationships Druig has with both Ikaris and Sersi - I wanna find some fic’s exploring those dynamics but haven’t spotted any yet. Druig and ikaris really come across as having that brotherly rivalry because they just can’t see eye to eye. While ikaris is totally focused on Ajak and her leadership, druig is seeing the people of whom he wishes to protect - thanks to his power, he can’t separate himself from their pain which makes him question the logic of their orders. It’s a tumultuous relationship which I wanna see more of - the line which sticks in my head when ikaris tries to kill druig is - “I should have done this five centuries ago.” There’s a lot that can be unpacked in that statement - as well as the impact the attack could have on druig as a survivor of ikaris’s wrath.
Then there’s the contrast of Druig and Sersi’s relationship - where she sees the light in him - has faith in him - even when others treat him like the worst. That’s always a beautiful dynamic to explore - especially with her sharing the connection she has with Druig’s biggest rival, Ikaris. Also I noticed this time in the film that druig is the one who realises Sersi’s strength and potential - before they even leave the Domo, he points out her defeat of the deviant, he knows she has the ability to do what needs to be done - she just doesn’t see it herself yet. When he says he’s “got this”, I think he knows he won’t succeed - especially with Ikaris still out there - but he can buy a bit of time for Sersi to realise the truth. He does go to help her instead or return to the fight - he shows the same faith she always showed in him. (I don’t know if any of that is true - but that’s the reading I got this time.)
Speaking of that moment with Druig in the final fight - while he does knock Sprite out with little remorse - and it is a pretty great moment - he never actually leave her the whole time she down. You can see he’s still there when they all connect to the Unimind and they return together to the beach - which I think shows how he’ll do what’s right to protect - but he still cares enough not to cross that line Ikaris does.
Tumblr media
I haven’t seen anyone comment on this as of yet - but it made me love ^ that ^ Drukkari moment even more. Obviously this is a beautiful moment for Druig and Makkari, but the shot I particularly like is where Sprite is perfectly framed by the pair just before they break apart and exit the shot. (Below) The vision of Sprite watching them from afar - seeing the love Druig and Makkari have for one another - the love she has never been able to experience for herself - is truly heartbreaking. She is unable to see past the thing she is denied as it’s constantly plastered in her face by the people around her showing and receiving love. She is longing for connection yet can only find isolation. So in this shot of such compelling love and unity - which is now everywhere - there is such pain and loneliness which remains present but overlooked… like Sprite. It’s a great shot. (GIF isn’t mine and the screenshot is from this video)
Tumblr media
Makkari is a FORCE! Obviously she was incredible when she fought Ikaris - but you can also see her strength in all the flashbacks too. Every time you’d see Ikaris fighting a Deviant - Makkari wouldn’t be far behind him - and she goes so fast it’s likely she was actually there before him too. She is truly amazing and not someone to mess with.
I really love Kingo and Sprites relationship - it really worked well. Their heart to hearts allowed us to see the vulnerable sides which they hide behind their respective attitudes - Kingo with his outspokenness and Sprite with her snark. They clearly bond the strongest with one another. One of their standout moments for me was in the Amazon fight, Kingo gets thrown through one of the shacks and Sprite refuses to leave him, she tries hiding them with an illusion and when that fails Kingo just throws himself over Sprite to protect her. It’s not a big moment - but I noticed it this time round and it’s stuck with me. I wanna see their adventures with Karun the valet - it’d be fun.
Also Karun is precious
Thena and Gilgamesh were also a perfect pairing - I love the shot of him taking her hand in the introductory fight - he has such respect for her and it set up their bond perfectly. Though I did expect him to get killed off - that’s usually what happens to the caretaker character - so while it hurt like hell - I wasn’t shocked.
Gilgamesh was so pure - the tough guy softy is the best character type - and it’s portrayed brilliantly with his learning about Ajak’s death. The pie falling is quite comical and you don’t know whether to laugh, but then he takes the pan and crumples it like paper and collapses into the chair overwhelmed with grief - you know this is a completely serious and heartbreaking moment - not to be laughed at.
A fun thing I didn’t pick up on the first time was that Druig is nearly always eating something in the scenes he’s in and I love that - it’s a nice little character trait.
The big question I still have though, is can Druig only control the minds of humans, or can he also control the minds of sentient beings - like Eternals and/or Deviants? Thena does say Gilgamesh asked him to put her to sleep once - but I can’t work out if that was just a joke or something he genuinely could do.
Anyway, I’m definitely missing things, but this has gotten really long so I’m gonna call it quits there. I love this film and it’s characters so much - which is something I haven’t felt in a while with an MCU film (certainly not at this level anyway). I mean I actually saw it a second time - which I haven’t done since Endgame - and y’know what, I wouldn’t say no to seeing it again. It was brilliant!

Little Green Monster part 1
Request: Can i ask for a dark! Druig with an eternal reader? She is always affectionate with all of them but he's always been possessive and clingy over her and doesn't like to share her affection with the others
(Y/n) let down her force field that was protecting the city from the diviants. Gilgamesh and Thena came back with triumphant smiles while Sersi walked back with Kingo and Icarus looking tired and Makkari was perky as ever. Druig, Ajak, Sprite and Phastos had stayed behind with me. I greeted them warmly before we all went back to the place that we would be residing. I knew Druig would be in a mood as he usually was after a mission like this. I think he felt left out as he rarely got to use his powers, unlike the rest of us.
So often I would take him out for a walk after so he could have some attention but this diviant took a while to take down and I was worn out from exerting myself. He pouted but didn’t argue when I told him I needed to sleep. I had fallen asleep in my little bed alone but when I woke up in the middle of the night I felt as if I was being watched. I sat up and looked around seeing a dark figure in the corner. I turned invisible and got out of bed and went to go find Druig. I went into his room but it was empty so I went and woke up Phastos my other best friend.
He rubbed his eyes, “What’s wrong (y/n)?”
“Someone is in my room can I stay with you tonight?”
He scooted over and I climbed into bed with him. In the morning Druig was in a worse mood. But of course he refused to talk about it. So I went about my day, no use letting him drag my mood down if he wasn’t going to talk about it. I went into town to get some supplies for the group and as I do Druig approaches me. I give him a smile but he doesn’t return it, in fact he scowled. “You going to tell me what’s wrong now?”
He fidgeted at first but then asked, “Do you like Phastos?”
“He is one of my best friends.” I shrugged.
Druig didn’t like this answer, “What? You’re best friend?”
“Yeah, you and him. Both of you are my best friends.” I chirped completely missing the jealousy in his voice.
He nodded but didn’t say anything just began to follow me though the streets holding whatever I handed to him. Going back it was becoming more obvious that Druig was upset. Once everything was squared away I pulled him aside and demanded he tell me what he was so grouchy about.
“I… I…. Went to talk to you last night… but I scared you and you went to Phastos room.”
“I went to your room first.” I argued, “But you weren’t there, why didn’t you say something?”
“I scared you…”
I pinched my brows together trying to understand what was happening. He was in my room standing in the corner of my room but he said he was trying to talk to me but it was dark and he made no attempt to do actually communicate with me. He had stayed in the shadows. It just didn’t make any sense. And his story was like a cover up.
I walked with him back to camp and began to put away and prepare food. Druig watched from the small kitchen table. I tried to ignore it but he glared at anyone who came into the kitchen to talk to me. It absolutely irked me. “Druig it looks like I forgot to pick up some eggs could you please go get some?” I asked trying to just get him out.
Once gone Phastos came in, “Boy is in a mood today, huh?”
“Yeah, he’s been really clingy and possessive. He glares at everyone who even dares to look at me.”
Phastos laughed, “Maybe you should take him out for some mommy and Druig time.”
I couldn’t help but laugh too, “Maybe I should.”
Druig and I went apple picking and one of the local men that was there started flirting with me. Druig got closer to me like he was trying to claim his territory. “Druig, you need to stop acting like you have a claim on me. If you want a stake on me you got to do better than just glaring at other people!” I barked exasperated by his behavior.

365 Marvel Comics Paper Cut-Out SuperHeroes - One Hero, Every Day, All Year…
January 13th - Sersi
Sersi is an Eternal, a member of a powerful race of beings created by the Celestials millions of years ago.  The Celestials had seeded Earth, as they had with countless other worlds, with the potential for its population to develop and evolve into greater life forms.  And the Eternals were stationed on Earth to guide humankind and defend the fledgling species from the Celestials’ earlier experiment, the violent monsters known as The Deviants.
Like her fellow Eternals, Sersi possesses the ability to transmute matter.  This makes her immortal and enables Sersi to alter the shape and quality of any substance or being; it additionally bestows her the powers of flight, enhanced strength, energy projection, telepathy and illusion casting.  Furthermore, Sersi can regenerate from any injury and can even be reincarnated in full were she to fall in battle.  Sersi’s abilities for matter transmutation is far greater than any of her fellow Eternals
Sersi has lived among the humans for centuries, fulfilling her duties as an Eternal as well as having as much fun as she can playing the role of protector, goddess, sorceress and countless other positions of power, luxury and influence.  She encountered numerous heroes and figures of history and lore, including Odysseus, Attila the Hun, Cicero, King Arthur, Thor Odinson, Queen Elizabeth I and Thomas Chatterton.
Sersi would later relocate to the United States, becoming a renown socialite hosting lavish parties at her Manhattan mansion.  She eventually revealed herself as an Eternal during the arrival of The Celestial’s Fourth Host.  During this time she joined the rest of The Eternals in battle against Kro and The Deviants of Lamuria.  A truce was eventually reached which led The Celestial’s to suspend their judgement of Earth’s worthiness to continue to exist.
Sersi would later join the ranks of The Avengers and had a number of adventures alongside earth’s mightiest heroes.  During this time, Sersi entered into a romantic relationship with her fellow Avenger, The Black Knight; an affair that led to both heroes leaving the team and having an excursion in the parallel reality of the Ultraverse.  Sersi ultimately returned to the 616 Universe and some time thereafter took on the new codename of ‘Mesmer’ as part of an effort on the part of The Eternals to come across as a more traditional group of super heroes.
Sersi and the other Eternals lost their memories of the true identities and Sersi believed herself to be a regular human with a burgeoning career as a party planner in New York City.  Eventually, the other Eternals discovered that Sprite was responsible for rewriting everyone's lives. Ikaris and others tried to make Sersi remember her past, yet she was reluctant to return to her previous life and tried instead to continue on living as a regular human.
This retirement from Eternal business proved short lived as Sersi rekindled her old romance with Makkari and once more became involved with the team.  Makkari had become the conduit connecting The Dreaming Celestial with mankind.  This shared connection with the Dreaming Celestial was gradually overwhelming Makkari’s mind and sense of self.  Sersi attempted to free Makkari from the Dreaming Celestial yet learned that this connection as well as Sersi’s connection to Makkari were all essential in protecting the earth from the destructive cosmic entity known as The Horde.   Finally defeating this Horde appeared to cost all of The Eternals their lives without the capacity of resurrection.  And yet Sersi and the Eternals would eventually return thanks to Phastos’ reengineering the resurrection machine.  Unfortunately this process also acted to resurrect Thanos and Sersi and the other Eternals have continued to battle The Mad Titan.
Sersi has appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe portrayed by actress Gemma Chan.   The character first appeared in the pages of Venus #9 (1950).

The Eternals’ relationships with humans is compelling to me:
Sersi loves humans and lives among them as one, which makes sense that she’d be among the most active against their extinction.
Ajak is a mother and a leader. She wants her children to be happy so she encourages love among them. She sees them be happy among humans and she herself has formed her own doubts. But she is also the leader of her own unit. She no longer wanted her position to influence how the others would treat humans and what their decision regarding the emergence will be so like all mothers, she wants her children to grow and make decisions for themselves. That whole theme of free will and loyalty. She rebuked Druig for his interference so she couldn’t control the others, but she is saddened by Ikaris’ decision. Despite Ajak’s love for humans as shown by her speech, she lived away from them in isolation, perhaps due to guilt.
Sprite was envious of humans and was the one who wanted to be most like them although she was the most unlike them. She could never blend as well as the others. The Eternals were the only place she could belong so she’d rather have started over.
Kingo loved humans but he also loved his family equally so he couldn’t bear to turn against Ikaris especially since he thought the same way. At the same time he couldn’t fight by his side like Sprite because he also had humans he came to love so he remained neutral. He was the one who was split and stuck in the middle.
Druig pitied humans and wanted to protect them. Although he didn’t outwardly show affection for them, because of his powers he empathized deeply and therefore felt responsible for them. He saved who he could the only way he knew how. But it was probably a bitter pill for him swallow that he was doing what he hated about what Ajak and Ikaris were doing - being and turning others into blind followers. Even if he justified it as being for their own good, how did that make him any different from Ajak and Ikaris then?
Phastos was supposed to hate humans. But because of love and family, he became the person most driven, even more so than Sersi, to protect humanity, all because he planted his roots there. He would’ve fought the entire Eternals and Celestials if he had to for his family.
Thena, Gilgamesh, and Ikaris were the most removed from the humans I think. Thena out of caution. Gilgamesh was more neutral and did so out of love for Thena, never abandoning her to be alone.
I loved Makkari and I will forever regret we didn’t have a specific character arc for her. I think though she was just happy to have her family again before it all fell to pieces around her. And I think she’s the most free-spirited doing what she feels is right at the time. She loved the creativity of humans and could relate to that, but at the same time didn’t have the attachment to them most of the others did. All the same, even if Druig was special to her, she didn’t go with him when she didn’t agree with what he was doing, and she fought Ikaris when she had to when she saw he was already going too far. She would do what she believed was right whether to follow their mission or go against it, but no matter the choice, she’d act.
Ikaris kept himself intentionally removed from humans. He loved them as an extension of his family’s love for them but never loved them for their own sake (in all of his scenes with Sersi and the people they were with, he only had eyes for Sersi). It’s hard to blame him though. Could you allow yourself to love something you were supposed to end with your own hands? And that only led to a cycle. Because of his isolation, his affection for humans didn’t develop. Duty and his family came first. But he wasn’t unfeeling as shown when he left Sersi out of guilt, his tears at Ajak’s death, and his despair at the futility of it all. He lost his purpose. What on earth did he kill his mother for? I think he really was a tragic character.
‘If you love something, you protect it’, and that’s what they all tried to do in each of their difficulty and messy ways.

Alright now that I've had like a day since I finished Eternals... let's go.
Sersi isn't getting enough praise. She's a complete badass and I loved her so much.
Sprite was an amazing character and I loved how they just grew bitter with humanity since their in a child body. That made so much sense and I loved Sprite so much. I will protect them with my life.
Kingo was hilarious and he deserves every but of praise he gets.
Thena is not getting talked about enough. My queen got hurt badly over this movie and I will protect her with my life... yeah she's more capable than me.
Druig I figured was gonna be one of my favs as soon as I heard his name. I know we arent supposed to like him, but I love how he's so empathetic and impulsive together that he ends up being a worse person because of it. I found him to be a breakout character for me.
Makkari, my beautiful Makkari, you are too good for the MCU. Omg, a speedster that's deaf is a perfect concept. She's so sweet and compassionate and relaxed, yet she will flip if prompted. I loved that we now have 2 ASL users in the MCU with Echo and Makkari. I have the beautiful headcanon that Makkari and the Eternals all made Sign Languages across the world.
Gilgamesh, you were too good for this movie. I screamed when Gil died, like how dare they. HE MADE PIE AND USED HIS LIFE TO HELP THENA AND THIS IS WHAT HE GETS?!?!?! In all seriousness though, I'm truly distraught that they just snuffed him out like that, but I have hope that he will return down the line with the World Forge.
Phastos is the first openly queer character in the movie side of the MCU and it took too long. I'm so happy he's in the movie, his character was awesome being the tech guy of the Eternals, and it sucks that he's the one who made the atom bomb. I think he had one of the most interesting stories in the movie. We get to see him have a family which was awesome. I'm shocked they got to do all of that in this movie, I honestly thought we'd get a wlw relationship before we got a mlm relationship in the movies and I gotta give em points for going with this. This was great and I'm very happy about this.
Ajak was interesting. It's depressing that she caused her own death but such is life. I love that it showed how close they were with her and it makes her death feel like it has meaning. I kinda hope we don't see her return but I'm sure we are going to.
Ikaris, I'm gonna say this and I'm gonna lose the little credibility I have... Ikaris shouldn't have died (should he have actually died). His story could have become more interesting. He went from falling for Sersi, to becoming a pawn for Ajak and Ahersham? to murdering his closest friend for Ahersham, and fighting the rest of his family to do what he thought was right. He was a perfect soldier, not a good man. Then he realizes that, and instead of letting him figure out where to go from that he flies into the sun and dies.... fuck them. He could have become more interesting but they suck. Whatever.
Karun was a perfect gem. He better return down the line, I doubt it but he should. Kinda wish he had more to do and could have helped but it's whatever, he was great.
Dane was one of the characters I was most excited for in this movie and lemme tell you!!!! How dare they. It's fine he'll be a bigger character down the line but I'm a bit upset. It is what it is.
Character Ranking (Top 5)
5. Sersi
4. Sprite
3. Makkari
2. Druig
1. Thena
Relationship Ranking
4. Sersi and Ikaris... I think it's supposed to not be good. I think that was the point. He was obsessed with her but also with his mission and she moved on.
3. Dane and Sersi
2. Phastos and Ben
1. Makkari and Druig

Dance off
Characters: Ajak, Peter Quill, Druig, Thena, Rocket, Drax, Mantis, Makkari, Groot.
Summary: Ajak challenges Starlord to a dance off. Based on this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36qh6RGA87U
Words: 1549
Warnings: None. English is not my first language.
__________________________________________
The domo, standing on Xandar.
“We must find their leader.” Ajak spoke, authority in her voice. She meant business.
“…the leader of the eternals or like their leader as if we are aliens?” Druig spoke and signed.
Yeah, like in the movie. Makkari signed.
“How many movies did you both watch with Phastos? No, don’t answer the question.” Ajak couldn’t look more like a disappointed mother. “We are aliens to them. We need to blend in and find the leader of the eternals. Explain everything, but let me talk to them first. It won’t be easy.”
__________________________________________
Xandar, Andromeda Galaxy.
A worked up Peter yelled at his friends in the middle of the city, Xandarians stopping to look at him making a scene.
“I can’t believe your dumb plan got us kicked out during the mission. If you had followed my plan-“
“Your plan?!” Rocket yelled back. “Your dumber plan?! A baby could have done better! No, wait! You are a baby, Quill!”
“How mature, now you are calling me-“
     Loud laughter interrupted him.
“You are a baby!” Drax laughed exaggeratedly, Mantis followed mimicking the laughter going on.
“I am groot.” The child tree exclaimed.
     “Not you too, Groot.”
The laughter continued for some time as Peter stood there with his hands on his hips.
“Enough. We need to find the nova corps to see how we can fix this mess. And, whoa!” Peter’s gaze fell elsewhere behind the other guardians.
     “What now?” Rocket turned around.
“Did you see that? I had never seen a spaceship like that.”
“We should check it out, Quill. Maybe some idiots asking for help we can take advantage of.”
__________________________________________
The domo had music playing, it was part of Thena’s therapy. Ajak wasn’t opposed to it, she had a radio in her kitchen back on earth. They played all kinds of music, it didn’t seem to phase Thena one bit. Sometimes Druig would come up and dance with Makkari fooling around with each other. As they exited the domo they came to find what they thought were Xandarians. Ajak stepped forward.
     “We come from earth.”
“We come in peace.” Druig said, earning a dangerous look from Ajak.
“Oh! Earth, the planet earth? The avengers earth?” Rocket came forward.
“Yes. And you are?” Ajak questioned somewhat surprised.
“We are… the guardians of the galaxy.” Quill spoke with all seriousness and superhero pose.
A clueless Druig came up sensing the confusion on the other eternals.
     “Who?”
An annoyed Peter closed his eyes and with exasperation replied.
“We are the guardians of the galaxy! We protect the galaxy!”
The eternals shared a confused look, clearly not knowing who these beings were. Rocket shook his head in embarrasment.
“You know what? We fought against Thanos.”
“I mean, that is not a lie, but you were barely there.” Rocket spoke.
“I traveled to earth for five years. What is it that you need? There are no more avengers.”
Ajak cleared her throat signaling to Makkari to open the domo, trying to escape these beings. Music came out from inside the ship, “Don’t you forget about me” was playing in the background.
“Wait!” Quill lifted his arms stopping the eternals from leaving. “Don’t you forget about me. Simple minds. 1985.”
“You know this music?” Druig asked.
Ajak looked between Druig and Peter.
     “This is music from earth.”
Rocket jumped into the conversation. “He is from earth.”
     “Actually, I am from missouri.”
“That’s on earth, you idiot.” Rocket was having none of it.
“They must be as pathetic as you, Quill.” An uninterested Drax spoke. Ajak looked at him for the very first time.
“Whoa,” Druig stepped up. “Who are you calling pathetic?”
     “I am groot.”
“You know what? Just a moment ago I thought that was an actual tree.” Druig now seemed confused. Ajak was close to giving up on Druig.
“We just want to find what we came looking for and then we can all just go.” Ajak replied, she was too old for this.
“You have a nice beat going. Maybe we can help.” Now Peter was interested.
“Peter’s style is to listen to music while he works.” Rocket intervened.
“Ah. So, you are looking for a job? I might have something for you.” Ajak spoke trying to make a deal with them.
__________________________________________
Xandar, night club.
Long story short now they all stand at a bar with a succesful mission from both eternals and guardians of the galaxy. It was more like a night club, but these terms on Xandar are different. A very agiated Ajak stood in the middle of the dance floor, face flushed from the drinks she had. Someone should have told her the effect these drinks have on humans. She was such a freak on the dance floor. Druig wished Karun was around, this was gold material. Makkari had left to check on Thena, and all Druig could do was look after Ajak. And she was doing amazing.
“You know what? You dance good, but it could be better!” Ajak shouted over the music to Peter, who was trying to show off his moves.
“You think you can do better?” Peter was drunk.
“As a matter of fact! Yes, I can do better! I challenge you to a dance off.” The crowd around went crazy and some space was left for the two of them to show off their moves.
“Yes! Show her, Peter! Show her how you saved the planet like footlose! Tell her the story!” A very excited Drax shouted from the sidelines.
“Oh, come on! You think you can win this?! I feel sorry for you, star-loser!” Druig was loving this, Ajak had just called Peter star-loser. She would regret everything tomorrow. He would stop her, but this was too funny to intervene.
“She called me star-loser! I’m in! I take you challenge. Prepare to lose.” A worked up Peter began to dance, the music was some pop like tune and he was moving his hips in a sensual way that seemed more like comedy to Ajak. The crowd cheered as he dropped to his knees in a powerful finish, pointing to Ajak. She didn’t take offense and instead she waved her hands like it was some easy stuff. Soon she broke into a dance that was actually decent and to Peter’s level. It seemed like boogie, but who knew that on Xandar? And damn, Ajak was hot.
The Xandarians were wild and filming on their devices. They kept cheering and screaming. The entire place was lit. Soon it was Peter’s turn again and the music changed to something more cultural. Peter began to dance what seemed like a ritual dance of some sort. It was intriguing and strange, but did the job. Rocket shook his head in second hand embarrasment. Ajak was fierce and confident, she relied on a good salsa move and she stole the show. A man with a mic was hyping her up and soon she gained more confidence that earned her more drinks on the club’s behalf. She knew victory was hers. But by the time they were done they were too hype and drunk to actually remember who won. Druig had had the time of his life. And nobody would take the smile off his face for quite some time.

The domo
The nex day Ajak awoke to a throbbing pain on her back and a massive headache that she soon began to heal. A groan escaped her lips as she tried to get up. She was still wearing the same clothes from the night before, her suit.
“What happened?” She questioned as she got up to meet with the others. She felt like a truck had hit her. Maybe it did happen. Laughter echoed through the halls and she winced at the sound. She found the other three eternals huddled together staring at some sort of screen device. Their laughter was too much and it seemed like Druig would pass out.
“What are you all doing?” Ajak waited for a response. She had questions. But all three heads snapped her way and she knew whatever it was it involved her. She closed her eyes in resignation and let out a tired breath.
     “Let me see.”
“We didn’t know you were so cool, Ajak.” Druig joked.
Yeah, you got moves! Makkari signed with a cheeky smile.
“Who knew you had it in you?” Thena teased.
The horror in Ajak’s face as she looked at the video was priceless. In the video she was dancing on the table and soon she was dragged away by security. Much to her horror she stared with wide eyes, brows furrowed and mouth slightly agape. It took her a moment to look at the others, hand to her mouth in desbelief.
“Is that really me?!” She said in horror.
“Yes!” Druig was close to fainting, his face was red and they all couldn’t stop laughing. Ajak just stared in horror.
“I am sending this to the others. I am so glad Rocket allowed me to have this.”
“No! Don’t to that.” Ajak covered her eyes.
“Too late.” Thena said as she pressed send. Druig was on the floor now. “The only reason we have this it’s because apparently you won and they were too embarrased about it.”
Ajak promised to never drink again on unknown planets. She will never escape this.
Druig won’t let her forget. Ever.
