Mobile Spoiler Guide

Most of the posts on this blog are gonna be spoiler-free, but if I'm ever discussing a topic relevant to a specific arc or in a level of detail that would spoil earlier storylines, I will place a spoiler tag. I've decided to have one major spoiler tag for everything after the live action and specific tags for every arc afterwards so that anime/manga fans can block spoilers for every arc they haven't reached yet individually instead of having to block anime/manga spoilers as a whole. Arc-related spoiler tags will be listed here with their chapter and episode numbers for a better overview. There are spoiler tags for the (major) movies, too!

Please let me know if this works for you guys as a spoiler system! It's the safest and most inclusive I could think of, but maybe you have a better idea for me.

SYA Extended Notes Ch. 4

Excerpt from "See You After" Chapter 4: May 31: Bakugou to Todoroki

I heard what you did that day, how you kept creating those insane ice constructs, how you and Iida went so fast you broke the fucking sound barrier. I saw the pictures of that giant wall of ice. Even now, people won’t shut up about how you saved the fucking day. Of course you did. You’re a goddamn hero.

Manga references in this chapter: (355, 383, 389/390)

Even though the fic is centered around Katsuki and Shouto, the rest of Class A will also show up regularly throughout this fic. I couldn't resist including details from the final war arc when Katsuki wrote about his friends visiting.

Ch. 383 - Mina's big moment melting through Gigantomachia

I love Mina and I really liked the mention of her training with Shouto and Katsuki to get stronger between the PLF arc and the Final War.

Especially after this bit in Ch. 321 (From Class A to One For All)

Even though there's not much mention of it in canon other than that, it make sense that she would train with them a lot since she also has an emitter-type quirk and a lot of the principals are probably similar.

Also, I really like the idea of Kirishima telling everyone how awesome Mina is. Whether you choose to read their relationship as platonic or romantic, I really love their shared history.

Ch. 355 - Jirou standing up to AFO

It pains me to think about what happened to her and how her quirk will be affected after this. (Will she be able to regrow her earphone jack, or is she going to have to live with her quirk permanently damaged?)

For this fic, I'm going with a hopeful interpretation that she can somehow recover enough that she can continue her journey to become a hero. (I also, really liked her little speech when she was facing off against AFO about how she doesn't care about being scared or about strength, weakness, or power. For her all that mattered was her friends)

Ch. 389/390 - Shouto and Iida's speed-run and Great Glacial Aegir (round 2)

I've already touched on how Shouto is bound to deal with some aftereffects from pushing himself so hard both physically and emotionally. However, I think it was important to have Katsuki put it into words how he feels about what Shouto was able to accomplish while also validating the fact that he needs time to heal.

Regarding the nicknames (or lack thereof)

I went back and forth as to whether Katsuki should call the others by their nicknames in this letter and I felt like it didn't quite fit with the tone of this chapter. In my mind, he definitely still calls them all those stupid nicknames when he's talking to them but since he's making an effort to use Izuku's given name, it makes sense that he would be referring to the others properly too. (He's come a long way from calling everyone "extras".)

Also, I headcanon that he calls Jirou by her real name more than some of the others because she's not shy about correcting him.

For example: during the joint training battles (Ch. 207)

He's still calling Shouto various nicknames since he's speaking directly to him. (We'll see him cycle through all the nicknames as they continue writing to each other.)

About the Recent Chapters and potential spoilers:

I posted this chapter on 10/18, (2 days after the official release of Ch. 403 and 1 day after ch. 404 leaks)...so, that was an experience.

However, nothing in this chapter of the fic i actually a spoiler because this entire "Hospital Letters" arc was originally drafted in June and I just assumed that certain things would happen so the spoiler-that-isn't-a-spoiler was already part of the story. (That will change in later chapters of the fic because I can't not reference what happened in 404)

At some point I'm going to have to stop trying to include stuff from canon and just let things run their course but we'll see how far I can get before then.

Dang Horikoshi! This last chapter had the outcome I wanted in the most unexpected way. He knows his characters so well, excited for 322!

I had a lot of desires for how this would happen but after reading it, there's no other way it could have happened.

Warning ramblings under keep reading.

Ever sense the conclusion of the war arc I have loved the build up for the ending.

How sense the beginning we have seen the terrible side effects of All Might's decision to go alone. Midoriya’s emulation of everything he does. Even Endeavor's drive to go alone and how all of these are becoming and became the very things that All for One is using to win.

All Might’s power only created a dependent society that when faced with a crisis, reacted in a selfish way because of their complacency.

Nothing he did actually took care of the creation of villains. He didn't try to seek the root of the problem. He simply showed up and created “hope” and fear in those around him. He tried and wanted to protect, he simply went about it the wrong way.

Endevor’s growth as a character has been my second favorite alongside Bakugo’s. His acceptance of needing to work together, knowing his weakness’s and trying to recreate a peaceful society amongst facing his past is just amazing. The symbolism of his journey is just amazing!

Now from the very first chapter we have seen how much Midoriya admires and basically worships All Might. How after receiving the legacy, has tried to do everything to be All Might to the point of self destruction repeatedly (especially now). His drive to do everything alone just as All Might has always done, to not involve those he loves, and save everyone no mater the cost to himself is the worst thing All might has done for him.

But you cant blame him. He’s spent decades as the strongest man and never have overly negative consequences to those actions until his finally face off with AFO. Now he had pushed himself to the point of being unable to help anyone, the possibly Midoriya will continue to face if he keeps pushing himself too far.

The moment the class showed up back in 318, my friend and I realized how its leading up to fixing all the mistakes All Might and Endeavor had made through their careers and the mistakes the Hero Commission made.

Team Work. No ranking, no egos. Simple reliance and strong connections with those around you to protect, save and fight for the innocent. For those in need.

The choice Midoriya needs to make (get through his thick stubborn head) is that he cant do it alone. Thats what's always lead to the previous holders defeat. Lead to All Might’s defeat.

He needs people. He needs a support team and a team he can support.

AFO is a coward who has always used people for his own gain and against each other. He plays mind games and he knew what he was doing with his message to Midoriya. He knows that if Midoriya used the teamwork they used in the war arc again, he’s finished, so he needs to plant seeds of fear and discourse now to keep himself on top.

Class A is going to be the set of heroes to reshape hero society and rebuild society, and it all starts with Midoriya taking each of their hands and working together.

Final thought. I am so glad it was Iida who took his hand first, tying back to the stain arc once again. Their friendship is so underrated even by myself. 😭💛

BNHA CH 321 Leaks/Spoilers

I see why people are making the connection of the parallels between this and kamino (and don’t get me wrong, that’s what I first saw and still see)

BUT WHY ARE PEOPLE NOT ALSO SEEING THE PARALLEL BETWEEN THIS AND THE STAIN FIGHT.

Iida, who was so overcome with vengeance and sorrow and anger, went on his own to kill the guy who severely injured his brother, who he loved so dearly. And so because he was so overwhelmed with these emotions, that plan goes horribly wrong and he almost ends up dying at the hands of Stain. It isn’t until Midoriya (and later on Todoroki) comes by to save him that realizes what he has done to not only himself but also his classmates (as he was very reserved and closed off from the rest of them when finding out about his brother). Midoriya saves him in more ways than one and helps him get out of the state and mentality.

And when you look at these leaks, it almost exact situation but the roles are switched. Iida is saving Midoriya from this wall that he built up in order to protect them from himself and All for One. Iida probably sees himself in Midoriya as he goes on his own to go on and do what he thinks is right.

So as some who loves the dynamic of Bakugo and Midoriya, I am so glad Horikoshi chose Iida for this scene. It also gives us some more of Iida and Midoriya’s friendship in the limelight when usually it’s held back a bit to normal interactions.

Stuck With You - While trying to pursue Izuku, Ochako gets stuck to him via a mishap with Mineta's quirk. (Featuring a grouchy, sleep deprived Izuku and a stubborn Ochako.)

Deja Vu - Waking up in his 15 year old body was the last thing Izuku could have expected to happen to him.

Getting blown up? Sure. Stabbed? Yeah. Having to stop an apocalypse? Usual Wednesday morning.

But fighting against his own nature to save those around him just to preserve his future? For once, he was completely out of his league.

And he couldn't punch his way out of this one.

Time Is A Powerful Tool - Midoriya Izuku is a normal teenager.

Stuck in an apocalypse, seeing dead people, fighting a super villian, dying, somehow going back in time.

Just your typical teenager stuff right?

Of ashes and moonlight - Tenko Shimura, later known as Tomura Shigaraki was raised by All for one as the perfect villain, an instrument of revenge against the number one hero, because only the number one villain of all time showed him any kind of compassion, when he needed it the most.

But what if someone got to him before All for one. What if Tenko learned the kindness of a single individual, before All for one took him in? How would that change everything going forward?

Tea in a bar - tldr; the LOV kidnapped Izuku while he was in the middle of getting dinner and much to their surprise Izuku is just tired and would rather simply enjoy some of Kurogiri's tea

i just wanna be with you (even if you don't feel the same) - a snippet of katsuki's thoughts at kamino ward during chapter 321.

take his hand - As he went to grab Izuku's hand, Katsuki realized he had no control. He watched in horror as he once again smacked Izuku's hand away. Those pretty green eyes filled with tears. Katsuki wanted to reach out, scream, apologize, anything.

Deku & Top Three Team-Up : In the Past!? - A mysterious Villain accosts the Top Three, after the War has ended.

His Quirk? Time-Travel.

His motivations? Understandable. All he wants is just to see his family alive and happy again, after the horror of the Rampage of Gigantomachia.

What better way than to send the Top Three Heroes back, to fix the problems that they created through their weaknesses?

Too bad Deku got sent back with them. Or is this a good thing? No one can actually tell.

Shared pain equals ... love?Shared pain equals ... love? - One and a half years have passed since Midoriya Izuku left UA to save Shigaraki and the world. The war has been over for half a year now, but the green haired boy that the entire class had adored still wasn't back. It was summer vacation of their third year, when Uraraka felt like she couldn't handle it anymore. She decides to finally turn to the one person she knew loved Deku just as much as she did; The one and only, Bakugo Katsuki.

A Collectors Rumination - Apparently there’s a new vigilante running around, so ragged and scraped up from battle that you wouldn’t even know he’s a hero. Honestly- She wonders what kind of a person you’d have to be to give heroics a try now.

Shattered Moon - “IZUKU MIDORIYA!" The stern yet unhinged voice of class A's resident rocker shook most of the class, along with the masked man they stood opposed to.

"Jirou, I'm not coming back." Deku quickly responded. "I'm not making any of you more of a target."

Aftermath - After Deku leaves, Katsuki only has a letter and a Diary as an explanation.

Black Clover chapter 321 reaction and spoilers

Sekke is always kind of used as a way to show the experience of an average magic knight and I’m impressed he’s still alive and kicking after helping fight a devil horde, which would be difficult even if all you weren’t facing the top tier ones.

Yuno has a Star Magic spell called Conjunction, which makes me curious if he could possibly use attack spells based on constellations.

lol “Kid number two!!” Although it makes sense considering Yuno skipped out on a lot of training in the filler.

I like that we also see that Mimosa also agrees they need to get the hell out, but she also knows Asta can’t leave this job unfinished let alone leave everyone to a devil only Anti-Magic can harm so far.

Mimosa appears to be at her limit in terms of mana. That makes sense considering she was backing Yuno up just before the breather while Luciferio finished his transformation.

Mimosa and Sekke want to discourage Asta from going to battle just yet, but he knows he’s the only person who can really do much against Luciferio even if he has little ability left at the moment.

Sekke wants to know why he didn’t try to get stronger like Asta did, but I think a lot of Asta’s strength right now is an inner strength that isn’t exactly trainable. I mean speaking as someone who’s been disabled since birth, a lot of Asta’s strength comes from dealing with being disabled from birth. He’s a magicless kid in a world full of magic and has been maligned for lacking ability his entire life, which builds up that inner strength. Next, while he does have Anti-Magic now and Liebe, in many ways his five leaf clover grimoire is like having an aid, which allows him to function as best he can. This in turn gives him unique skills that others haven’t had to develop because they don’t have to compensate for a lack of magic. Like yeah Sekke could have trained more – he’s technically learning a very similar lesson that Yuno learned during the Gold Dawn raid – but the ability to get up when injured, the ability to go back to a fight that Asta knows he can’t ignore, etc…etc… is very much about that part of him that never gives up, that has to keep going, because you don’t always have a choice when you’re disabled but to keep moving forward even if it’s slowly but surely.
