One thing that irritates me about the topic of empaths is the pervasive victimhood perspective so many articles talk about online. There are plenty of articles on the topic of empathy, including plenty of quizzes and headlines like, "Are you a 'Dark Empath'?". But they all focus on the "burden" of empathy, or how difficult it is. None talk about its true nature. Or how it can be a superpower. Empathy isn't a burden if you're responsible with it. The overwhelming and negative side effects of empathy come from not practicing psychic hygiene. If we didn't take care of our physical bodies they'd seem like a burden, too! Psychic hygiene is the daily practice of protecting and clearing your metaphysical body. We wouldn't run our errands in the dead of winter naked — but many do so spiritually naked! And then they wonder why they're so wiped afterward. Be weary of those who profess love and state that they hate themselves. Either they love themselves and they hurt themselves to relieve emotion / pain or they inflict pain on oneself because they are unable to inflict pain on another. Individuals are split into camps in this regard. One camp is a form of dark empathy and suffers from the inability to regulate their empathy properly which leads to chaos in one’s life / well being. These individuals usually kill themselves when they become shadow possessed. The other camp is incapable of empathy, unable to wrangle in the demon inside oneself they begin to project this hatred into the world. Usually they kill others as a symbol of killing themselves and, sometimes, they themselves end there own life but not before wrecking the lives of others in the process. Individuals that I have counseled often say that they love others but not oneself, but this is an incongruent action. For what one does not possess... one cannot give. Often times through the process of therapy and growth they realize that they have loved themselves all along they just were not ready to embrace that authentic self yet. The authentic self is scary. It’s terrifying because finally you place limits on your life. You realize that you are not equal to others but, rather, discover that you are unique in your talents, qualities, and spirit. What others lack you possess and what you lack others possess. What you all lack everyone can obtain together through community. Pay attention to what people are doing behind the mask. Listen to the words. Tomorrow's new moon has a lot of positive placements. It exacts at 5:57 pm. I cast a chart for ATL and it has Gemini rising — putting chatty Mercury at the forefront. He is still hanging out with Venus (their conjunction only exacted 2 days ago). If you’re single, you may catch feelings! If you’re married, use this energy to flirt with your partner.
