unlikely events by Nymphii - literally just. some of the best crimeboys out there right now. I get so excited every single time this updates, i absolutely adore Nymph's writing style and I think she does an amazing job at taking the plot of DBH and adding to it to make it feel unique and the progression feel natural. her characterization of both wilbur and tommy is spot on and watching their relationship develop has been so satisfying this fic deserves so much more attention than it gets please go read it

ritual purposes by thanotaphobia - roxy my beloved has done it again. they're such an amazing author in so many ways and I seriously love this fic so much because of how natural and calm it is. you can tell there's so many personal bits of experience with it, and it's such a niche subject matter that's so interesting to learn about through the story. there are so many little bits of interaction that I just love seeing and I adore the whole thing

i love you till the day i die (so don't die today) by IHJTMQ - some of my favorite dsmp!crimeboys i've read. i usually don't read a lot of canon-verse fics but I go back and reread this so many times. i just love the way this author writes wilbur and tommy and their interactions. it doesn't feel out of character but it's so heartwarming it's such a comfort fic for me

I can feel your heart beating under my skin by Drhair76 - i'm a sucker for medium/psychic stories and this one is so soft and has such amazing atmosphere. i love how the environments are described and the emotions as well it's just so sweet and i literally reread it this morning for like the umpteenth time it's so nice

His Curse of Binding by bari_astralis - I love so many of bari's works and was so close to putting lethe runs golden here instead but his curse of binding was the fic that introduced me to them as an author so I had to put it here. if you haven't read it, do yourself a favor and go read it. it's so well written, bari is one of the funniest goddamn authors in this fandom but also manages to balance the humor so well with the angst. all the sbi interactions are fantastic and god it just hits so well

(also fuck this i'm adding two more because I can't not put them. devil town by hoorayy and coup de grâce by greyquills. dt is an amazingly written small town horror story that has such complicated character dynamics and it's written so well that it even got me to read techno pov which is a VERY hard thing to do. cdg is a star wars au that's been one of my fav crimeboys fics forever, grey is a fantastic writer and i'm a sucker for dark side stuff so this just hits in all the right ways for me)

Headcanons below

Junior is human. Mostly because I wasn't a big fan of the Alice is a robot twist. I just think it's cooler this way

Junior is about 6~ years old.

Foolish is a housemaid android. But he used to be an android prototype that was to be used in wars. Digging trenches, shielding soldiers, and fighting the enemy if need be. (This comes from the 'I wasn't always a god of life. in the past i used to be a god of death' line). This line of androids wasn't successful and most were destroyed, but Foolish got remolded.

Storyline vaguely follows what I can remember from Kara's

And by that I mean Junior's father is a terrible human being and Foolish deviates to protect Junior and now they're on the run and I don't remember anything past that.

Foolish changes his hair to match Junior's, going from gold to brown. And he stole all their clothes from a laundromat.

I think at some point during Kara's story, she's wanted by police because she's deviant. So that would happen to Foolish and at some point he would meet the detective trio

Thinking about detroit become human au where wilbur was an android who works as a nanny to a human toddler, tommy. Just like kara's storyline, wilbur became a deviant in order to protect tommy. They escaped the home to try to find a safe place to hide.

Wilbur and tommy found an underground place to stay for the night, they accidentally came across a deviant and a human who turns out to be Technoblade and Philza.

Technoblade was the deviant while philza was the human and for obvious reasons, techno was pretty hostile to both tommy and wilbur which quickly quiet down when philza reassured him they weren't a threat.

The four slowly becomes close to one another as time pass by and their mission is to get to the other side, outside of the border where they can live happily and safely without wilbur and techno being a threat to society.

Extra -

not only Techno and Wilbur are the same model type, they're also one of the few androids that are considered as the twin pack(say cyberlife did a limited editions of the model)

Basically whatever information wilbur got or whatever wilbur is feeling, techno immediately gets it

But techno became a deviant first and ran away from the previous place they're in, leaving wilbur alone

Wilbur then got transferred to the other house and that's where he met tommy

When wilbur and techno saw each other again, wilbur couldn't realize that was techno because of his dyed pink hair

Until techno comes closer to wilbur and connects to him

The twins reunited!!! :D

Tommy quickly becomes everyone's priority to protect since he's only 7 and they don't want to risk losing him

Techno's hair are Dyed pink mullet and his previous hair was brown, like wilbur

Philza is the closest parental figure that tommy had ever since he escaped with wilbur, so it didn't take long for tommy to start calling phil dad(he'd denied after tho because he's big man vdhd)

Techbur model is SB100

So I wasn’t gonna post this right now but since Tubbo’s playing Detroit: Become Human I wanted to introduce y’all to my D:BH AU! It’s a little long, but here are the characters so far!

Dream and Foolish are the creators of CyberLife, though Foolish steps down three years before the story starts, due to a row he had with Dream. He moves in with his aunt Puffy, with whom they grew up.

Tommy is a tutoring android model that was discontinued after a few months, but his school managed to keep him and used him for chores, as well as abusing him. The abuse broke his charging port, so he can’t self-charge, and needs an outlet to get charged. When he runs from the school, he constantly needs to visit CyberLife stores to stay charged.

Tubbo is a human who befriends Tommy. He is fascinated by coding and androids, but his parents hate androids. They kick him out once they learn Tubbo has befriended one. 

Wilbur and Techno are detective androids (like Connor), who are assigned to investigate deviants. They are appointed to lieutenant Watson, who dislikes androids. Wilbur deviates early, and runs away after failing to convince Techno to join him. Aside from Techno and CyberLife, he is presumed missing.

Lieutenant Phil Watson hates androids due to his wife Samantha and his son Will dying in a c-section, preformed by an underqualified android. The human doctor was too drunk to preform it. He hates Wilbur and Techno specifically, because they are modelled after Samantha (she modeled for CyberLife), except for the pink hair.

Fundy works with the police station on figuring out what happens with deviant coding, but in secret, he and Niki help deviants disguise themselves and get a new identity. Wilbur goes to Fundy after going deviant, and befriends Niki, as well as Fundy’s sister Sally. 

Schlatt is a crime boss. Wilbur befriends him and starts living in his base, and through Quackity, Tommy and Tubbo find shelter there too. Wilbur meets Tommy there, and in an attempt to get to know him, steals parts trying to find a charging port for Tommy. Nothing is compatible. 

Kristen is a friend of Sally’s, and later on becomes the contact person between Wilbur and Fundy. Phil meets her when she’s at Fundy’s house, and the two get along quite well. 

Ranboo is an android that was experimented on by Montgomory, an android collector. Tommy and Tubbo visit him to try and find rare parts, but Montgomory erases Tommy’s memory. Ranboo helps them escape, and they return to Schlatt’s base together.

I've given some fic recs before so I won't be repeating those, but new ones since then include

devil town by hoorayy - amazing small town horror, all the characters are so complex and the mystery is written so well, definitely had me on the edge of my seat. AMAZING atmosphere too

I can feel your heart beating under my skin by Drhair76 - medium/empath tommy + psychic ranboo + tubbo wanting to make a profit + sbi with a ghost problem = a really sweet fic about letting yourself be loved... it's so soft and makes me so happy to read, the atmosphere is great and the crimeboys is chefs kiss

Let's make clay figurines together by bari_astralis - art student tommy + substitute teacher wilbur makes for a really funny and sweet fic that deals a lot with how frustrating it can be to deal with the restrictions of school, especially when it comes to creativity. also this is the same author who wrote his curse of binding, which is one of my all times favs, so it's absolutely hilarious bc bari is a master of writing banter

unlikely events by Nymphii - I thought i'd gotten tired of dbh aus when we had the original dbh au phase back when tubbo played it, but apparently i'm not. this is a dbh au but it's focused on hank and connor's story only, with tommy as connor and wilbur as hank. the crimeboys friendship is such slowburn but it's written so well, and I really love seeing tommy grow from just an android to... well, maybe something a little more :) every time it updates I get so excited

Derail by libraryofalexandra - i hope this returns from the war soon... it's a foster care au fic but it starts out with just a very young wilbur being fostered by phil, and wilbur is... heavily traumatized from his past homes. phil is written so well in this, he clearly struggles but is trying his best to help wilbur as much as possible, and it's just such a realistic depiction of trauma and how difficult it can be, it's just so good

and lastly

cataclysm by thanotaphobia (roxy my beloved <3) - ngl, I'm only like 4 chapters in so far, it's definitely taking me a while to read but it's so good. like the worldbuilding in this is just SO COOL i'm so intrigued about the politics of everything. tommy is a child king whose kingdom has fallen to the Antarctic Empire, and is taken as prisoner back to the Empire. it's just so well thought out, I definitely need to catch up fully
