Bokuto x Top male reader
Part 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
🩶 Although Bokuto Koutarou was well-known for his contagious enthusiasm and love of volleyball, he was also no stranger to a passionate love life when it came to private affairs. One evening, he was drawn to a M/N at a nearby bar who exuded confidence and assertiveness. Bokuto felt a surge of adrenaline as he followed the reader out of the pub and into the cool night air, their stares scorching.
🩶 When they got back to the M/N's apartment, Bokuto couldn't help but fall in love with each other again. He ran his hands over the M/N's toned body, and his breath caught as they kissed deeply and passionately. As the M/N's assured hands moved over his body, Bokuto felt himself hardening and shivering.
🩶 Bokuto was soon forced up against the wall, and the M/N's lips found their way to his neck, leaving a path of warm kisses and soft nips behind. Their garments were promptly discarded. As their love intensified, Bokuto's hands held the M/N's shoulders while the M/N's hands roamed over Bokuto's body, making him tremble and yearning for more.
🩶 Bokuto found himself voluntarily caving in to the M/N's demanding touch as they made their way to the bedroom, losing himself in the overpowering feeling of pleasure and need. Bokuto was set on fire by the M/N's confidence, and as they moved together, their bodies burning with unadulterated want, each kiss and touch was like an electric shock, sending waves of exhilaration through them both.
🩶 Bokuto was completely engrossed in the M/N during the height of their desire; their bodies were moving in unison, and their cries of pleasure filled the space as they both achieved new heights of ecstasy. Knowing that their heated encounter had only just begun, Bokuto felt a fresh feeling of adoration and desire for the M/N as they collapsed in a tangled mess of limbs, sated and breathless.

[name] was the last of his team to step off the bus. he was more tense than usual. probably something to do with the devastating memories that came with facing inarizaki again.
apart of the first years, they all remembered the loss they had suffered after facing the black and white team last year. they had been lucky enough that itachiyama had knocked inarizaki off in the semi-finals in their second nationals, meaning they hadn't faced them since.
it was [name]'s first loss, something that stuck with him every time he played. he could never quite shake the heartache he felt. but it was just a practice match, he needed to remind himself. they had won nationals, surely they could handle a practice match with the team that placed lower than them.
that's right, they were ranked lower than them. [name] couldn't wait to see the look on miya atsumu's face when he mentioned it. the setter needed to be taken down a peg or two.
omoikane raised an eyebrow at the libero, already sensing something was brewing in his mind. "hirabayashi-kun, behave. inarizaki has been kind enough to allow us to train with them"
[name] scowled, offended, "i wasn't going to do anything!"
"we all know what you look like when you're planning something" yuuma slapped him on the shoulder, causing him to trip with the force of the hit. the h/c haired boy merely sent him a glare, shuffling over to his second year counterparts instead.
as they entered the gym inarizaki had already completed their set up, nets ready to go and drills in action. [name] knew it was purposeful, attempting to show off their skills and intimidate takumashii upon arrival. the second and third years remained unfazed, aware of inarizaki's skill levels and playing styles already.
the first years on the other hand were practically shaking like leaves. they looked ready to float away.
"cheer up!" susumu smirked at the pale look on their faces, amused by their fear. [name] sent him a small glare, remembering the shear panic on jun and yuichi's faces the minute they had shown up to their first tournament last year. it was hard to ignore the first time nerves and they could greatly impact the course of a match.
luckily for them, it wasn't a match they needed to worry about. just their reputation as seiichi had so kindly announced on the bus. [name] scowled at the third year boy, he was always stirring up trouble.
[name] followed along behind kousei, heading towards kita shinsuke and ojiro aran to greet them as captains. the older boy beside him bowed first, shaking hands with kita. [name] did the same with aran.
"thank you for having us" kousei spoke up first. "it's good to have another team to practice with"
"yes, it will be beneficial for us too" kita nodded, a small smile on his face.
"they're like robots" aran blanched, both he and [name] merely watched them interact.
[name] snorted, covering his mouth to hide his amusement as kousei side-eyed him. it was a silent threat. behave.
aran held back his own smile at the vice-captain's outburst. he was glad they weren't stuck up like atsumu had tried to tell them. sure, they had played against each other last year but they hadn't properly interacted before.
hopefully, this would be fun as well as beneficial.
this is was painful. [name] glared as he rubbed his raw arms. atsumu had been pelting him with serves for the past 10 mins, non-stop. he had yet to miss one receive but and it was starting to get on both of their nerves. the blonde setter grit his teeth, eye twitching in annoyance.
"you're never going to win whatever stupid challenge is in your head" suna remarked, crossing his arms and raising an eyebrow at the smack that resounded when atsumu served yet another ball towards the libero. seiichi had been the one to suggest he and atsumu work together for their warm ups to put aside whatever rivalry they had going on. they had competed through every step.
the takumashii ace, the traitor, was currently laughing his ass off on the other side of the gym, leaning on kousei to stand up straight as he watched the pair miserably play.
osamu and suna finally reached out to stop atsumu's next move, dragging him away to join everyone else in picking teams for their practice match. they were going to have two matches at once so that all players could play on court.
[name], seeing this, finally dropped to the floor in relief. yuuma held a hand out, biting back an amused grin.
"come on, we shouldn't keep taicho waiting" [name] nodded along in agreement, following the older boy to the group despite his body's reluctance.
"cheer up, heiwa-kun" jun and yuichi flagged him as they approached, easily ready to tease him all day. he groaned internally, slumping his shoulders in a pathetic attempt to ignore them.
"hirabayashi-senpai?" his saviour, the h/c haired boy's head snapped up immediately, expression glowing at the sight of ikehara tomio.
"yes, ikehara-kun?" he immediately shoved jun and yuichi to the side, suddenly full of energy as he hopped over, dragging the first year boy to the other side of the group.
"are we playing in different teams or as our normal team?" he questioned, unaware of his senpai's weird behaviour.
"i think we're playing in our regular team. why? you don't want to?" he hummed, raising an eyebrow at the shy boy. despite still being taller than his upperclassman, the boy cowered at the question, quickly taking it the wrong way.
"no, no! it's not that i'm complaining-" [name] laughed, stunning the boy again. he should probably be used to his smile now, after all, it was usually sent in the first year's direction. [name] pat his shoulder, trying to get him to release some tension.
"don't be so nervous, i'm not going to scold you" his eyes shone with amusement, "we can ask to switch it up, we're going to be playing a lot of matches today so it's fine"
"oh.. okay" tomio nodded slowly. "i wanted to.. i want to play with you, senpai"
[name] froze. his eyes widened slightly, blankly staring at the boy. tomio paused too, now unsure what he had said to warrant such a reaction. he blinked owlishly at [name], silently freaking out. they hadn't even known each other that long, was he being weird? did [name] want to be left alone? was that a weird request-
"oh" [name] slowly smiled, shyly chewing on his lip to stop the grin from widening. "well, i hope we can play together too, ikehara-kun"
the first year boy stood, stunned for a moment before also breaking out into a smile. neither had the chance to say anything, however, as omoikane and kurosu norimune, inarizaki's coach, called for everyone's attention.
"we're going to start with a few sets before our practice match later today. we'll be switching the team members every set so that everyone has a turn to play" kurosu begun to explain, the boys all nodding along to show they were listening. most of the boys were familiar with the way in which things were going to run.
they were quick to split themselves evenly, randomly assigning groups so that they could get on with the matches for the day. after all, they were all eager to get started.
the whistle blew as they the first group moved into position, officially starting the day.
[name] wiped sweat from his brow as they finished yet another set. it had been a couple hours since they started and he was beginning to feel the fatigue. he plopped down to the floor, gulping down his water, frowning when his bottle was empty. he sighed, eyeing the door and deciding whether or not it was worth moving.
a hand appeared in his vision as he glanced back up. his eyes meant miya osamu's, the grey haired twin expectantly raising an eyebrow at him. he held his own water bottle in hand, suna rintarou hovering behind him as they waited. he stared at them in confusion, taking the hand offered anyways and allowing himself to be pulled to his feet.
"thanks" he softly uttered, moving towards the door to find a tap to refill his bottle with. the pair followed behind.
"ya read the court really well" osamu begun the conversation after a few seconds of silence. [name] glanced to his side, briefly squinting his eyes to see whether or not the inarizaki player was being genuine.
he hummed softly, acknowledging the statement. "i like to strategise" he shrugged it off, turning left at the door only to be met with suna standing in front of him.
"taps that way" suna pointed in the other direction, a small amused smile tugging on his lips. [name] felt his face heat up in embarrassment, turning around swiftly and speed walking past them. the pair barely restrained their grins, trailing after him.
"hey, heiwa-kun-" suna went to speak only to be cut off by the said boy.
"it's hirabayashi" he corrected automatically, filling up his water bottle now that they reached the tap. osamu and suna shared a look.
"hirabayashi-kun" he shrugged, "are you always this cold?"
"cold?" he glanced up at him, confused. was he referring to his behaviour? or his tone? had he already ruined any chance of the inarizaki team members liking him? or was it just because he didn't like miya astumu's behaviour?
"stiff?" osamu frowned, trying to think of a better word and scratching his head in thought. "stand-offish, maybe?"
[name] felt horrified, it was like middle school all over again! "what? where did you get that idea? are people talking about me?"
"i guess? you're kinda.. scary" suna thought for a moment before deciding on another word that only sent another pang through the boy.
"scary?" he felt himself wither away, soul leaving his body. "is that why people won't approach me?"
osamu snorted, "you're a really good player, most people find that intimidating. just look at atsumu"
"atsumu's a dick, though" suna deadpanned, "nobody wants to approach him 'cause he's rude"
[name] nodded, agreeing "he's mean" he paused for a second, screwing the lid on his bottle tight. "do i come off as mean?"
"i don't think so, just unapproachable" osamu lifted one shoulder in a half-shrug, unbothered. "hey, where d'ya go to middle school?"
"shiratorizawa middle school, why?"
"how come you didn't go there for high school then?" suna laid an arm on [name]'s head, leaning his weight onto the shorter boy. he huffed, sinking a little with the added weight.
"we moved to osaka so i had to change schools" he shrugged as best he could, unaffected by the change now. they moved back inside, ready to start the final match of the day.
"but you trained with top level players, right?" osamu continued his earlier thought, eyes seemingly digging into [name]'s figure. they were analysing despite the calm, light-hearted nature of the conversation. they were open to being friends but right now they knew in the backs of their minds that they would be enemies on court the minute the whistle blew in a competition. they had already felt the effects of it once.
"sure" [name] nodded, blinking slowly in befuddlement. what was the point of that question? he was obviously searching for a specific answer. "and i'm training with top level players now. what difference does it make?"
osamu merely stared at him for a moment longer in a brief silence before he and suna split from his side to head back to their team.
weird. [name] frowned slightly.
"-and then turnip-head was all geh!” hinata’s rambles were always weird, an experience [name] always looked forward to. he always brightened up his day. this time he was going on about his recent practice match with aoba johsai and karasuno's victory over miyagi prefecture's top 4 team.
from his description of the events that had happened, [name] found it easy to assume that most of seijoh's power relied on their setter, oikawa tooru. he hadn't seen much of the male after he graduated middle school but he had heard word of wakatoshi's constant taunts (not that he knew he was taunting or of the effect it had on oikawa).
”i’m a little surprised you won” hinata’s indignant screech made him immediately rethink his wording. “i mean that aoba johsai is one of the best in the miyagi prefecture for a reason. to win in your first match against them.. you did a good job even if it was a practice match”
the line was silent for a moment, a little awkward. hinata breathing quickened slightly through the speaker before he was bursting with energy once again. “anyways! we've got a new player too now, nish-nishi-nishiya i don't know how to say it but he's a libero like you!"
[name] smiled, ready to tease him. "don't move on, i haven't replaced you"
"aH! i'm not replacing you!" hinata whined. "i can't even say his name! besides, you'll always be my first libero and i'm not going to stop until we beat you!"
this time the silence was a quiet acknowledgement of how far the pair had come since they first met. while [name] had always had an obvious talent for the sport, hinata was a little more clumsy. they complimented each other perfectly, hinata with his innate physical abilities and [name] with his technique. they would make a powerful team one day.
but first, they needed to battle it out on court, after all, they had to see who would win.
bonus!!
"we'll need to get karasuno's guardian deity back" daichi hit his fist against his hand, determined look on his face as the team turned to exit aoba johsai again, brushing off the interruption from oikawa. they were proud of their efforts and the win in the practice match but they knew they had an incomplete team just yet.
"guardian deity?" hinata's face lit up, beaming at the sound of the cool name.
"our libero" tanaka grinned, laughing loudly at the thought of nishinoya returning. "his suspension should almost be over by now"
"libero?" the team turned to the orange-haired first year, ready to explain what a libero is until he continued. "the libero always gets a cool name. like heiwa-kun!"
"you know of heiwa-kun?" kageyama was the first to question him, remembering the times he played against [name] not too long ago. they hadn't expected hinata to know of anyone other than the little giant, especially seeing as he did have a wide range of knowledge in the sport, only really interested in being the ace.
"he's my best friend!" hinata grinned proudly, thumb pointing to his chest in a victorious stance. "he goes to a school in osaka now though.."
"your best friend..?" the team stared dumbfounded, minds blanking out as hinata continued on a tangent, admiration for hirabayashi [name] obvious in the way he spoke.
"yeah! we're gonna go to nationals and play him!" while the sentiment was nice, daichi and sugawara couldn't help but sweatdrop, sharing a look. they were not on a national level just yet.
"one day.. i'm gonna beat him!" hinata's eyes narrowed in determination, grin wide with excitement.
one day..

Oikawa x m!reader (he/him/his)
I just love a good reunion. The little ~~ means change in view or time, it’ll make sense I promise.
Word count: 3548
~
He wished they hadn’t moved to Tokyo. He loved his school in Miyagi, Seijoh had everything he’d wanted for high school. He had friends there, he had a life there; but his family had other plans. Y/n had grown up in the Miyagi prefecture, he went to Kitagawa Daiichi for junior high, and had gotten accepted into Aoba Johsai, a private high school in the region. When he was in junior high, he’d joined the volleyball team out of pure boredom, none of the other sports had interested him like volleyball did, and his parents insisted he join a club of some kind.
During his time with the volleyball team he’d gotten pretty good, and he’d made friends with this wonder-kid named Tōru. There was another one just like him in the year below them, but he always seemed so tense, y/n didn’t really have it in him to attempt a friendship there. There was also Iwaizumi who he had been quick to befriend, always enjoying how he interacted so playfully yet serious with Tōru. Together, the three of them went on to Aoba Johsai and immediately joined the volleyball club, eager to play the game with a bigger audience.
However, y/n had only gotten the chance to play with his friends for about a year and a half, before his parents uprooted his life in Miyagi for a much more stressful one in Tokyo. He went to Fukurodani now, and while he loved his teammates and the school in general, he desperately missed his friends from Miyagi. During his first year of high school at Seijoh, volleyball had brought him and Tōru a lot closer, mostly because they had the same work ethic. Their positions couldn’t have been more different, y/n was the team’s libero and Tōru their setter, they often only barely connected the ball to one another.
But, y/n was more determined than most to do well and it was because Tōru’s mindset was so intoxicating. The two would often spend all of their free time practicing together, Iwaizumi joining in when he felt like it. They’d become best friends, but to y/n it had always been more than that.
Tōru Oikawa was possibly the most attractive person y/n had ever known, or will ever know. He had always admired his friend, but when they’d gotten into high school his feelings became much more obvious to himself. Then, when he’d moved away and had to watch his friend from afar, his feelings had become somewhat tangible. Tangible in the way that he was always so jealous and angry that he couldn’t be there, angry that Tōru had this crowd of girls that followed him everywhere and got all of his attention. He took his anger out during practices, working as hard as his body would let him, always staying late or getting up early to keep going.
It was really bad one day when he kept seeing and hearing all about how Seijoh had beat Karasuno, and the feud between the legendary setter Oikawa and new legend Kageyama. Tobio gets to play against him and I don’t.
Since Fukurodani was in an entirely different prefecture than Seijoh, the teams rarely, if ever, got a chance to play against each other. Sure, sometimes little teams from Miyagi got to play with Tokyo teams, but it was all about the connections coaches had with each other. And, since Seijoh had yet to beat Shiratorizawa in the Interhigh, they’d not gotten to nationals where they could’ve taken on Fukurodani.
The power pair from Fukurodani, Bokuto and Akaashi, were quick to notice y/n’s foul mood. They had become friends near immediately when y/n joined their team as a libero, Bokuto absolutely loved having y/n try to receive his spikes. Usually, y/n was more than happy to practice with them and would do whatever they wanted to, but today y/n didn’t even greet them upon entering the gym.
He had gotten changed quickly, and started doing his own warm ups, separating himself from the team. After about fifteen minutes, he’d started going through the routine he always did when he was upset. It was the most intense of the routine’s he had created, and always distracted him from whatever was going on. He liked working hard, but he wasn’t great at regulating it, sometimes he’d just go on and on without taking breaks and find himself lightheaded and near passing out from dehydration.
Akaashi approached him, interrupting the set of sprints y/n had planned. “You’re upset today.” He stated blankly, not usually one to sugarcoat.
Y/n glared at him. “I don’t see how it’s any of your business, go back to Bokuto or something.” He mumbled, but Akaashi didn’t move.
“You’ll either tell me what's going on or I'm telling coach you’re putting yourself in danger and he won’t let you practice.” Y/n scoffed, but he knew Akaashi was dead serious. “Well?”
“Fine. But you can’t tell Bokuto, he can’t keep a secret.” Akaashi nodded, and the two of them went outside to talk, Bokuto attempting to join in, but after receiving a very harsh look from Akaashi, he backed off.
“You remember how I transferred here from Aoba Johsai?” He started, Akaashi nodding. “Well, Oikawa, Iwaizumi, and I have been close friends for a while. We went to the same junior high and we all loved playing volleyball together.” Pausing, he tried to figure out how to word the main part of his problem. He wasn’t sure he’d ever admitted out loud his feelings for his friend, but he didn’t have much of a choice here. “After we got into high school, I kind of came to the abrupt realization that I...liked him. As more than just my best friend.”
“Ah.” Akaashi simply replied, seeming to have put two and two together before y/n had even finished. “You’re upset that you can’t play with him, and probably jealous of that fan club that’s always surrounding him. Right?” Y/n nodded, Akaashi had pretty much hit the nail on the head.
“There was also this kid that we knew in junior high, Kageyama Tobio, and he was just super standoffish, but now even he gets to play with Tōru and I have to stay here.” Even in talking to Akaashi, y/n could hear the animosity that laced his words.
“That’s definitely frustrating, I'll grant you that. But are you seriously going to let that affect how you play the game?” Akaashi asked, nothing friendly in his words. “I don’t think Oikawa would want to know that this is how you’ve been handling it.” The shock y/n felt must’ve been all over his face because Akaashi seemed to take a step back. “It's just--you never know. Maybe you’ll have a chance to play against him soon, you don’t want him to have grown more than you right? Think about making him proud.” Akaashi left him to think about what he’d said, though y/n was still recovering from Akaashi’s scolding.
He’d not seen Akaashi so mad at anyone before, much less himself, usually the two of them got along like brothers. He guessed that maybe having to deal with Bokuto’s emo mode all the time, along with y/n’s anger was starting to get tiring. Akaashi was right though, everything he said was right.
Y/n knew that letting his anger keep a hold on him wasn’t making him any better at playing a team sport, and that Tōru would be mad at him if he learned that this was how he dealt with it. He sighed, trying to expel every ounce of oxygen held in his lungs so that he could refill with fresher air, and hopefully a better composure. He went back to the gym after that and joined his team, apologizing to everyone and the coach for his repeated idiocy and promising it wouldn’t happen anymore.
The weeks following that day were much more fun, both for y/n and the rest of his team. There came a day where upon his entering the gym, he noticed that his teammates had gotten changed, and instead of warming up were crowded around the coach. When Akaashi and Bokuto saw him, they waved him over to them, quick to explain what was going on.
“Coach said he had a surprise for us, nobody knows what’s going on.” Bokuto nearly yelled, he was practically jumping with excitement. “I hope Nekoma is coming over for a practice match, I haven’t gotten to catch up with Kuroo in forever!” Y/n knew that actually wasn’t true, they’d seen Nekoma maybe three weeks prior, but to Bokuto he supposed that was pretty close to forever.
“If it’s a team, which it might not be, it would probably be one from further away, otherwise they’d be here already.” Akaashi suggested, looking towards the entrance of the gym waiting for someone to appear. Y/n selfishly hoped it was Seijoh, but he didn’t get his hopes up. Seijoh liked to keep their friendlies local, usually they went for college students or neighborhood clubs, there was little to no chance that they came all the way down here.
While the Fukurodani students all anxiously chatted, their energy nearly becoming too much for the poor coach. As if on cue, the main doors opened, revealing the red jackets that Bokuto loved so much. The Fukurodani team excitedly ran to great the guests, Bokuto leading the charge and nearly tackling Kuroo in the process. Akaashi went to speak to Kenma, and suddenly y/n was by himself, watching as red and white collided. He was about to head into the mass of students to greet Yaku, another libero and someone he got along with swimmingly when the doors opened again.
This time, turquoise and white flooded through the doors, and y/n nearly fell on his ass. Seijoh? His thoughts raced, his eyes frantically searching the faces of the students filling the gym, some of them waving to him, he could barely bring himself to return the gesture.
Then, he walked in.
“Tōru!” He yelled, his voice nearly getting lost amongst the number of conversations, but the intended audience heard him.
~
Oikawa had been stunned when their bus had pulled into the Fukurodani parking lot, his coach hadn’t told them anything other than they were going to a friendly match. His heart had started racing the moment he realized where they were, y/n’s school. He and y/n had been friends forever, and it had devastated him when he moved away. In the time he’d lost him, they stayed in contact mostly through social media, sometimes texting each other but usually just though seeing the other’s posts or watching games.
Of course, Oikawa missed playing on the court with y/n, with him there was always this energy and vigor that filled him to play his best. Iwaizumi did what he could to encourage the same kind of attitude, but it wasn’t the same as y/n. But, more than just playing together, he missed being around him. Talking, laughing, playing video games, eating, cursing each other out when the other did something stupid. He missed it all, and more than he’d like to admit, his heart ached whenever he turned around and saw Watari instead of y/n.
Iwaizumi always made fun of Oikawa’s state of dismay whenever it seemed he was missing y/n, always calling him Oikawa’s ‘boyfriend’ or something similar because of how much his mood changed when y/n was the topic of interest. Before Iwaizumi had brought it up, Oikawa had never thought about if he liked y/n as something other than just his best friend. Although, after he moved away Oikawa came to the brutal realization that y/n had a much stronger impact on his life than he had thought. Now, being without him was like torture.
“Tōru!” He heard his name, though only barely, but he knew that voice better than any other. He looked around the gym, searching for the face he knew matched that voice, but finding himself agitated when he couldn’t see him.
“That way, shithead.” Iwa pointed, Oikawa bolting.
Y/n ran to meet him and soon Oikawa had wrapped his arms around y/n and was just slightly lifting him off the ground, swinging him around as much as he could. After he set him down, he just took the moment to hold y/n, feeling his hair with one hand, the other keeping him pressed against him. Oikawa had always been a bit taller than y/n, and so he found himself laying his head on the shorter, taking in the smell of his hair.
Y/n pulled himself away from Oikawa, shaking his head with a smile. “I missed you so much, Tōru!” Seeing his face, in person, so close--Oikawa realized he was really restraining himself from just kissing the boy in front of him.
Trying to keep some of his composure he returned the phrase. “I missed you too, y/n. Though it is your fault for leaving me, so I think you owe me.” Y/n’s brow furrowed,
“My fault!? You think I would’ve left you on purpose?!” Oikawa shrugged,
“Who’s to know?” He joked, closing his eyes and shrugging. “Maybe you just secretly hated me so much you had to move schools to get away from me!” He opened his eyes wide and covered his mouth as if in shock, y/n just rolling his eyes and lightly punching Oikawa’s shoulder.
“Yeah, sure. I’m not Iwa, you know. I can actually enjoy your shitty little comments and games.” Oikawa chuckled, that much was true. “Besides, I think it was harder for me to leave than it was for you to lose me anyway.” What? Is that actually what he thinks? He thought, now thoroughly confused.  Did he not express his love for y/n enough when they were younger? Surely y/n understood how much he meant to him right? Oikawa searched y/n’s features, hoping to find some kind of answer to his questions but found nothing he liked. Y/n looked serious.
“That’s not true, it killed me when you told me you were leaving.” Y/n just rolled his eyes again, this time shaking his head and dropping his gaze to the floor.
“You don’t have to pretend, Tōru. Come on, we should join everybody else.” Oikawa was speechless. Y/n really thought Oikawa didn’t care about him, when in reality it was so far the opposite.
Y/n had taken off towards the massive group of athletes and was gesturing for Oikawa to join him, so he put the issue behind him, promising himself he’d make things right later tonight.
When Oikawa had caught up with Y/n, he introduced him to his friends Bokuto and Akaashi from Fukurodani, and Kuroo, Kenma, and Yaku from Nekoma. He could tell how tight knit the six of them were, and couldn’t help but feel like his small trio of him, Iwa, and y/n had been replaced. Akaashi was eyeing him carefully, though he wasn’t sure why, but soon after they’d been introduced the coaches had gathered to get the practice matches started.
Each team was split into two, and matched up with a team from a different school; each pairing would play one full set and the loser would have to take a lap of sorts. Each team would get to play four sets, allowing for them to play with each other team not of their own school. The matches carried on, only small water breaks between sets, Oikawa and y/n still not having played against each other.
This was the last round of sets for the athletes, and it would be the very last set played that day that was Aoba Johsai v Fukurodani, or as they saw it, Oikawa and Iwaizumi v y/n.
When the match started, there was an energy on the court unlike the other matches, Oikawa and Iwaizumi doing whatever they could to make the ball hit the ground on the other side, y/n preventing it. The teams went back and forth, staying in deuce for several points past the typical 25, but eventually Fukurodani won, 31-29.
Exhausted, Bokuto and Akaashi as well as the rest of the team clapped y/n on the back for the incredible receives and digs he’d made throughout the game. Y/n was heavily panting, but as he wiped the sweat from his brow he grinned at Oikawa and Iwaizumi, obviously pleased with the result. Oikawa was immediately ready for another round after that, but what he wanted more was to play with y/n, rather than against him, though that was fun too.
The coaches excused everyone to get changed and showered, saying that there was still about an hour before either team was going to be leaving, so they could socialize all they wanted. The two got changed and cleaned quickly, wanting to spend as much time as possible together before Oikawa had to go back to Seijoh.
They decided to go outside since it was warm, and sat on the grass outside the gym. “Why didn’t Iwaizumi join?” Y/n asked, looking back towards the gym for their third. “Is he still getting changed?”
“No, actually I asked him if I could talk to you alone.” Y/n looked at him surprised, but stayed quiet, not wanting to interrupt him. “Earlier, you said that you thought your leaving was harder for you than it was for me, you said that I was pretending when I said it killed me when you left.” Y/n slowly nodded, not sure where this conversation was headed. “I’m telling you, it really did hurt me when you left.”
He was worried about being so...sappy, with y/n. He just knew that if y/n really didn’t think he cared about him, there was no way he felt the way Oikawa did for him.
“I don’t see how that’s possible, Tōru, you’ve got hoards of fans and friends to keep you company, what was I other than another one of them?” Oikawa could feel his heart beating faster, he was more than upset that y/n felt that way about him, how could he possibly think that he was just another fan?
“We’ve spent years together! Practiced hours and hours together, how can you think that you’re just another blank face in my life, when yours has always had the most detail?” He spoke hastily, worried that if he didn't, the words may never come. His eyes begged for y/n to understand what he was to him, yearned for him to feel the same way.
“What?” Y/n’s brow knit, as if he was trying to translate a language he didn’t know.
I guess I'll always have to dumb things down for you, y/n. “If I kiss you, will you understand what I'm trying to say?” Oikawa moved closer to y/n, sitting directly in front of him, their knees barely colliding. Y/n didn’t look like he was anywhere near a response, but he muttered something that sounded like a ‘maybe’ while every centimeter of skin on his face morphed to sunset shades of pink and red. “May I?” Oikawa asked, still scared he had it wrong.
“You have to ask?” Was how y/n replied, Oikawa not even getting the chance to be first. Y/n put a hand on the back of Oikawa’s neck and guided him into a gentle, but fervent kiss. Oikawa didn’t skip a beat, putting both of his hands on y/n’s head, and pulling him towards the other, until Oikawa fell onto his back, y/n being pulled on top of him in return.
~
They laughed, but y/n made no attempt to move off of the setter he currently had pinned to the ground, which Oikawa didn’t seem to mind.
“I guess I look pretty stupid now huh? Saying all that stuff about you not caring that I left...” Y/n said, his voice trailing and his eyes shifting from Oikawa’s to the grass beside his head.
“Yeah, you do. I mean come on!” Y/n laughed, he was glad he had been wrong. It had just seemed like such an impossibility for him, considering how many people pined after Tōru on a daily basis. Not to mention Tōru had seemed to stop talking to him after he’d left, sure the occasional ‘how are you?’ text was nice, but it wasn’t anything to write home about.
“Well maybe, if it wasn’t for someone’s horrible texting habits, I would’ve understood sooner!” Tōru’s mouth hung open in shock, but y/n raised an eyebrow at him, and his mouth closed.
“Sure, maybe. But you knew about how little I texted people before you left!” He complained, y/n just shook his head,
“Shut up or I'll just have to make you, somehow.” Tōru grinned, setting his hands so his head was resting on them.
“Sounds like I should talk a whole lot more then.”

(Name) munched on some sweet bread as he watched the practice match, water bottles beside him as Kiyoko and Yachi went over their notes, neither paying the other teen to much mind as you see, (name) was mainly here for moral support and because Daichi was incredibly over protective of his younger brother.
"Oh, thank you (name)" Kiyoko said as the two girls were offered bread by the other, somehow he had an endless supply of sweet bread "he makes it himself in the mornings" was what Daichi said once but this much?
"(Name)? Could you be a dear and refill the water bottles with cold water?" Yachi asked the other who looked excited and determined, nodding with little sparkles around him as he took the container filled with water bottles and darted out "we didn't..tell him where it was yet" oh boy, well hopefully he comes back.
The training camp was huge, the other schools playing or doing their own thing as (name) wandered around trying to find where to fill the water bottles "oh? Is that the younger Sawamura?" (Name) looked over at the voices go see oikawa and kuroo looking at him and (name) set the container down and waved, munching on bread as the two captains wandered to him "long time no see shorty!" Kuroo teased as oikawa mumbled something about stealing him to Aoba joasai but all who knew of his brother knew that it would be a very stupid idea.
After all, who dares take karasunos mascot?
"Still eating bread I see?"
Nod nod
"Where are you off too?" Oikawa asked and (name) pointed his thumb to the bottles and the two nodded.
(Name) was hoisted onto Kuroos back as oikawa held the bottles,(name)s shortness making him easy for lifting and carrying "oh... I'm out of bread..." (Name) mumbled as they got to the water spot kuroo setting him down as the two captains looked curious, rarely did anyone hear (name) speak as kuroo barked out a laugh "of course that's what you worry about!" As kuroo patted his head, the captains helping him with his water bottles before letting him go back to his team where Tanaka whined "(name)! There you are!" The bald teen was on the bench holding ice to his head, whining about needing their precious mascot to help him as (name) wandered to his bag and pulled out two rolls of bread and shoved one on his mouth before giving Tanaka one, patting his head happily.
'fuzzy wuzzy was a bear...' (name) thought jokingly as Tanaka praised him.
(Name) returned to his spot as the team chugged their water and chatted with fukurodani about their plays, (name) listening as Tanaka and Hinata rabled about their plays.
Just a normal day for (name).

tired already?... kuroo x bottom male reader
!!.. amab reader, semi-public sex, kuroo loves to tease, bokuto almost caught the both of them lol, biting and marking, creampie, both characters are 18...
a moan resonated through the empty bathroom. the setting sun outside peeked its way into the many stalls yet the fluorescent lights overpowered it.
" k-kuroo.. finish already! w-what if someone comes in... plus i don't think i can hold myself up anymore! " you whined, trying your hardest to hold yourself up using the stall's door.
meanwhile, kuroo only got more excited at the thought of someone coming in. them being able to hear your slutty moans. how loud you were begging just for some sweet release. maybe kuroo would let them take a peek too.
" hah, bet you would love that right? " kuroo grinned and trusted into you harshly, making you choke a bit on your own spit.
how did you even get here?
" bokuto! " you yelled out at your best friend, him already running and making his way towards you.
kuroo noticed this however it was too late.
before he could even react, you already set the ball towards bokuto who was already mid-jumping. the ball spun in the air, everyone's eyes towards it.
bokuto raised his left hand and winded back his right, preparing to hit said ball. kuroo tried jumping to stop the ball but it was too late.
the moment he began jumping, the ball hit the floor with a loud thud. the sound echoing throughout the audienceless court.
a moment of silence passed by with everyone processing the victory which now belonged to the fukurodani's players.
screams of happiness broke the silence, shaking the empty court. " yeah! let's go! " you screamed out, hugging your sweaty best friends bokuto and akaashi.
the three of you hopped around in happiness after winning the game, your teammates also happily cheering around you.
the nekoma players all congratulated you upon winning the practice match, both players shaking each others hands.
a whistle interrupted you, " yn, nice save earlier! " kuroo, your close friend approached you and sat down next to you.
" oh hey kuroo! thanks heh, you were pretty awesome earlier too! " you compliment him back, sipping the last drop of water in your bottle.
he hums in acknowledgment, appearing tired from the match. " oho what's this? is the great nekoma captain tired already? " your teasing voice earned you a slight jab from him.
" ugh im not tired yet! c'mon, let's go grab some drinks at the vending machine. " kuroo got up first, leaving you to follow him on your own which you did.
your mind wandered off as you trailed behind him, thinking of what to drink to get at the vending machine. what you didn't expect though was you being pulled to the bathroom by kuroo and getting your back blown by him.
" tired already? weren't you the one who was teasing me about being tired earlier. " kuroo laughed at your face as he held you up with both hands, slamming you up and down his cock.
" now look who can't even keep himself up. "
you could only moan while grabbing onto his shoulder, your own cock already leaking and smeared with cum. " i'm close, keep going kuroo..! " you managed to moan out, clenching him harder and harder.
kuroo's cheshire smile stretched itself on his lips, clearly enjoying how dumb you were from his cock alone.
you were so so close to cuming till..
" yn? kuroo? are you here? " bokuto's cheerful voice suddenly echoed in the bathroom, causing you and kuroo to stop your movement entirely.
bokuto looked around the bathroom, shrugging when he found neither you nor kuroo. he decided why not take a quick bathroom break while he was here, completely unaware of what was going on in two stalls next to him.
he sat himself at the first stall, one stall away from him having a front-row seat to hearing you get your ass pounded.
you looked up at kuroo in fear, afraid that even a tiny squeak could make bokuto a bit too curious and start to investigate the sound.
however, kuroo on the other hand looked down at you with a sinister look in his eyes, it being pretty obvious about what he was about to do.
you shook your head at him while covering your mouth to which he turned a blind eye.
he slid you up and slammed you down on his cock harshly, the sound itself making bokuto look around, but the sound that escaped from your mouth was what made him realize what was going on.
a high-pitched moan escaped from your mouth, the sound being an obvious giveaway of what was going on in one of the stalls.
your eyes rolled up to the back of your head at the sudden sensation of being full.
your release immediately came out of your cock. the cum that was seeping out of your ass hole and dripping down onto kuroo's thigh was also just making the situation more messy.
but kuroo wasn't done yet.
he picked up the pace and began thrusting into you, the feeling of your tight walls making him go overdrive.
tears rolled down your face as you tried your best to keep quiet, afraid that your own best friend might hear you getting dicked down.
you buried your face into the crevices of kuroo's neck, bitting and sucking on his neck in an attempt to hush yourself. kuroo on the other hand enjoyed the feeling of your teeth against his skin, leaving mark after mark on him.
bokuto quickly finished his business and rushed out of the bathroom, leaving the both of you alone again.
" mhm.. hahah, you loved almost getting caught by your own best friend, didn't you? " kuroo teased, his relentless thrusting still not finished.
you shook your head while burying deeper into his neck, your tears and saliva soaking kuroo's jersey.
he laughed at you, muttering about how cute you were.
after some hellish rounds, he was finished with his tormenting of you. the both of you walked out of the bathroom with your tracksuit jacket covering the marks all over each other's bodies.
you went back to the almost empty court, trying your hardest not to limp.
" hey hey hey, yn! where were you earlier? " you looked around like a deer caught in headlights upon seeing your two best friends behind you.
" oh uh.. hey! i was just at the store nearby.. " you lied through your teeth, praying that bokuto would buy it.
thankfully he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed.
he nodded in understanding and began gossiping to you about how he heard some couple getting it on in the bathroom and how awkward it was since he needed to take a shit earlier.
you nodded along, acting as if that couple wasn't you and kuroo.
however, akaashi didn't seem convinced about your lie.
" yn, were you with kuroo earlier? " akaashi suddenly questioned you. your sweat dropped as you tried your hardest to not make any eye contact with either of them.
" huh oh uh yeah.. w-we were just yknow.. eating at the store together. " your voice gradually got quieter the more you talked.
akaashi hummed, as if already knowing what was going on but decided to not pry any further. meanwhile bokuto looked between you and akaashi, trying to figure out why you were so red at the simple question.
" well whatever, im tired and sweaty! let's go home now! " you thanked the world for how dense bokuto was.
you grabbed your stuff and followed behind the two men, already planning to beat the shit out of kuroo for next week's practice.

Bou asking out a male reader via a love letter? Bou think he's being slick with it and they don't know it was him. but his emotional mood swings show even in his writing so the reader knows its Bou.
Bokuto’s Subtle Confession
Pairing: Bokuto x m!reader
Words: 725
Warnings: none
Tumblr media
Bokuto had always been known for his enthusiastic and boisterous personality on the volleyball court. He was the ace of the Fukurodani Academy team and a force to be reckoned with. However, when it came to matters of the heart, Bokuto found himself at a loss. There was someone who had captured his attention, someone who made his heart race every time they crossed paths. That someone was you, a fellow male student at Fukurodani Academy.
As the days turned into weeks, Bokuto couldn’t shake the feeling that he wanted to ask you out. He admired your determination, your dedication to your studies, and your kindness. But he didn’t know how to approach you. He didn’t want to risk his friendship with you, especially since he wasn’t sure if you felt the same way.
One evening, as he was sitting in his room, Bokuto decided to take a different approach. He would write a love letter. He believed that expressing his feelings through written words would allow him to be more composed and thoughtful. He wanted to be subtle, to let you know that someone at Fukurodani admired you, but he didn't want to reveal his identity just yet. Bokuto's room was filled with volleyball posters, trophies, and jerseys, but amidst all the sports paraphernalia, he found a blank piece of paper and a pen. He began to write, pouring his heart into the words. As he wrote, his emotions fluctuated wildly, just like they did on the volleyball court. His excitement and nervousness seeped into the letter, making it a rollercoaster of emotions.
"Dear m/n,
I hope this letter finds you well. I wanted to let you know how much I admire your dedication and kindness. Your determination and the way you carry yourself have always caught my attention. I can't help but feel my heart race when I see you, and I wanted to express my feelings, even if it's from afar.
Your presence brightens up my day, and it's something I look forward to every day at school. I've seen you studying diligently and supporting your friends, and I can't help but be inspired by your actions.
Sometimes, I wish I could gather the courage to approach you, but I'm afraid of making things awkward between us. I value our friendship too much to jeopardize it.
I hope you continue to be the incredible person you are, and I'll be cheering for you, no matter what you do.
With the utmost respect and admiration,
A Secret Admirer"
Bokuto read and reread the letter several times, wondering if it conveyed his feelings adequately. He tried to make it subtle, but his emotional swings were evident in the words he had written. He felt a mix of anxiety and excitement, wondering how you would react when you received the letter.
The next day at school, Bokuto was a bundle of nerves. He had placed the letter in your locker early in the morning, before anyone else arrived. As the day progressed, he couldn't help but watch you from a distance, trying to gauge your reaction. You went about your day as usual, but something about your expression seemed different. Bokuto couldn't quite put his finger on it, but he had a feeling that you had read the letter. Perhaps it was a subtle change in your demeanor, a slight blush on your cheeks, or a glint of recognition in your eyes.
After school, you approached Bokuto with a warm smile. "Hey, did you read this letter? It's pretty sweet," you said, showing him the same letter he had written. Bokuto's heart raced. "Oh, that letter? Yeah, I saw it. I thought it was really nice," he replied, trying to act nonchalant.
You chuckled, seeing through his façade. "You know, I have a feeling I know who wrote it. Your emotions are pretty hard to miss, Bokuto." Bokuto scratched the back of his head, his mood swinging from embarrassment to relief. "Well, yeah, it's not a secret anymore, is it?"
With a smile, you took his hand. "I appreciate your honesty. I was hoping you'd say something. Let's go get some ice cream and talk more." Bokuto's heart soared as he followed you, realizing that sometimes, even if you're not as subtle as you'd like to be, expressing your true feelings is worth the risk.

Precious Memories- Bokuto x fem! Reader
Tumblr media
~
Summary: As another school year came to an end, (Y/N) reminisces the moment where she became best friends with Bokuto and how he opened her eyes to the world of volleyball.
Word Count: 3.9K
Warnings: SO MUCH FLUFF!! I COULDN’T HELP MYSELF LOL
A/N: My first Haikyu x reader fic. I’m an Asahi girl but my sister practically begged for this. She loves Bokuto so much so I decided why not. Hope you enjoy reading! Gif belongs to @reallysaltykou
~
“(Y/N)-CHAN!” Bokuto’s happy-go-lucky voice echoed in the gym as he ran up to her. The volleyball-loving boy wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tightly. “We finished our second year! Isn’t that great?”
Leave it to her best friend Bokuto to put a smile on her face. He was always a beam of positivity ever since they were first years. She couldn’t believe that two years had passed by already.
(Y/N) hugged Bokuto back and laughed when he twirled her around in his arms. “It is. I can’t believe we’re going to be in our third year! Oh, by the way, did you get your yearbook?”
“Yep! A lot of people signed it but I made sure to save a spot for my best friend. You guys did a great job! This yearbook is so awesome!”
The girl smiled. “Glad you liked it, Kotaro, but you and the volleyball team made it awesome. You guys made it to Nationals after all. It’s why I was able to convince the yearbook editor to let me add a couple of extra pages to show the team’s success in making it to Nationals.”
“Really?! No wonder! You’re so awesome!” Bokuto looked over his shoulder. “Hey, Akaashi! Look! (Y/N) is here!”
Akaashi Keiji. A first-year (now going into his second year) that made up their little trio. Though he was a year younger than her and Bokuto, the calm and composed setter easily found his rhythm in the group.
Because before he came, no one on the volleyball team was able to keep up with Bokuto’s energy and as a result the silver-haired male would often beg her to make sets. At first, (Y/N) refused but when she saw his ‘emo mode’ coming she crumbled at the sight.
So she was forever grateful that someone like Akaashi came into her and Bokuto’s lives. At the very least she can count on Akaashi to be there for Bokuto. He already has the hang of dealing with Bokuto’s mood swings and mentally compiling a list of the ace’s weaknesses.
“Hello (Y/N)-senpai.” The setter greeted her.
“Akaashi, how are you? Bokuto isn’t pushing you too hard, is he?”
“(Y/N)!” Bokuto squawked. “I would never!”
Akaashi couldn’t help but smirk a little. “I’m doing well, thank you. Also congratulations on finishing your second year.”
“Ah, thanks and congrats on being a first-year in Nationals. I made sure to mention that fact in the yearbook.”
“Really?” The setter didn’t have the time to review the yearbook so this took him by surprise. “You didn’t have to.”
(Y/N) shook her head. “Of course I do. Your skills were amazing. Aren’t they, Bokuto?”
Bokuto nodded. “Your sets are the best, Akaashi. My spikes were so easy to make! The other team didn’t have a chance!”
“See?” She brought her yearbook out and showed him the page dedicated to the boys volleyball team. “I made sure to get good shots of you and Bokuto together.”
After signing each other’s yearbook, the boys continued to look at the yearbook and offered their praises. While she accepted their compliments with a smile, (Y/N) couldn’t help but recall the time she first met the ace for the first time.
Flashback
Freshly enrolled at Fukurodani Academy, a first-year (Y/N) immediately applied to become a member of the photography club from which she learned that members of the photography club are also in charge of the yearbook. It wasn’t long when the yearbook editor gave her first assignment:
Shadowing the Fukurodani’s Boys Volleyball Team.
At the time, (Y/N) didn’t realize how desirable her spot was until many of her senpais offered their congratulations and her fellow classmates expressed how ‘lucky’ she was to get this assignment. Why was she ‘lucky’? Obviously, she played the sport back in middle school as part of PE class. She knew the basics. So why? What was so special about volleyball? It was just a game.
That all changed when (Y/N) went to her first official game. Never had she clicked the shutter button so many times before. She lost count on the amount of times she went from anxious to excited throughout the three sets against another Tokyo powerhouse school. Of course, she wanted her school to win. She had pride after all.
It wasn’t until her hopes of winning were dashed when a third-year regular injured himself at the final set. Oh well… Better luck next time. She focused her camera lens on the person who was subbing in. She didn’t have to look at the roster to recognize him.
Bokuto Kotaro
He was a first-year just like her, not in the same class as her but she had to be completely oblivious to the loud, overly friendly, and playful guy who can go from happy one minute to a sad boy in the next.
(Y/N) zoomed her camera to focus on him and she was taken aback by the lack of nervousness on his face. Instead, his golden eyes shined with excitement with a wide smile to match.
For some reason she couldn’t explain, (Y/N) decided this next shot was the one. No, that’s not right. She knew why. The momentum, the atmosphere, the tension, the hunger for victory… Everything was riding on Bokuto to make the point to secure their win.
She had to capture this moment!
At the sound of the whistle, (Y/N) wasted no time in pressing the shutter button repeatedly, hoping that one of these photos could work. With one last click from her camera, she watched the course of the volleyball with new found anticipation.
She squeezed her camera as the opponent pulled off a shaky receive. She bit her lip as the other team’s setter set the ball for their team’s ace. She refrained herself from letting out an excited squeal when Fukurodani was able to soft block it.
From the middle blocker’s block, the libero pulled off a receive. From the libero’s receive, the setter was able to set.
“LEFT! LEFT!”
By muscle memory, (Y/N) brought her camera into the perfect position just in time to capture this moment. Her finger pressed the shutter button at the same time Bokuto’s hand slammed the ball with brute force. The volleyball bounced off the hardwood floor of the gym before soaring into the audience. For about five seconds, the gym was void of any sound until-
“ALRIGHT!” Bokuto raised both of his fists into the air. His smile was even wider than before. “HEY! HEY! HEY!”
The audience cheered with him. The sounds of applause and whistles filled the air along with the praises from the Fukurodani players directed to the person who secured victory.
With one last click of her camera, (Y/N) smiled at the scene before her. Bokuto looked so happy amongst his teammates. It wasn’t until a gentle nudge on her arm brought her out of her trance. (Y/N) looked up to see her senpai that accompanied her to the match.
The older girl held out a tissue. “You're crying, (Y/N)-san.”
“I am?” True enough, there were tears slowly escaping from the corner of her eyes. How long were those tears there? How did she not notice? A bit embarrassed, (Y/N) accepted the tissue. “Thank you senpai.”
“How do you like volleyball now?” The third-year asked her underclassman, knowing she wasn’t a huge fan of the sport. “Any change of opinion?”
(Y/N) fiddled with her camera’s neck strap. She took a quick peek at Fukurodani’s players, specifically Bokuto, before answering, “I think…”
The upperclassman strained her ears to hear the shy girl’s answer.
(Y/N) smiled genuinely. “I think I can get into it.”
The glint in her (E/C) showed determination only strengthened her answer and honestly it was a relief for the older girl. She can pass on the torch into (Y/N)’s hands knowing the girl will do her best to capture these moments. The senpai smiled down at her kohai. She remembered the first time going to a volleyball match. She’ll never forget this feeling and she hoped that (Y/N) wouldn’t either. This was her last year documenting the volleyball team, but it was only the beginning for (Y/N).
“Remember this, (Y/N)-san.”
“Yes, senpai?”
“Never let these moments be forgotten because one day these photographs may become something precious to someone.”
“Hai.”
“Alright. Let’s go. I’ll treat you to some ramen!”
As they were leaving the gym, (Y/N) inspected all of her pictures and stopped at a particular one. It was of Bokuto during his jump serve. She smiled once more as she replayed the memory.
Maybe volleyball wasn’t just a game. Maybe she was lucky after all.
~
The next day was a normal school day at Fukurodani Academy. It was lunch time and (Y/N) was waiting for a certain silver-haired individual to be left alone. However, that wasn’t going to be the case. Ever since he scored the winning point, his popularity soared to greater heights and as a result he was surrounded by his friends and new admirers.
(Y/N) held her portfolio folder tighter. She printed the pictures from yesterday’s game and she thought it was only right for Bokuto to see them before anyone else. Obviously, in private. She would be so embarrassed if everyone saw her photos at once… Which, of course, didn’t make sense. Photos are meant to be looked at. She was just not confident enough. What if he didn’t like them? What if he calls her photos trash? Oh, god. What if he doesn’t like having his picture take-
“Hey, hey, hey! You’re the camera girl, right?”
The girl jumped when she saw the Kotaro Bokuto right next to her. His gray blazer was unbuttoned, his white collared shirt was completely untucked, and his blue/white striped tie was loosely tied. (Y/N) wondered if this was intentional or if he just didn’t care about the school’s dress code. She could only imagine the former.
“Oh, um, yeah. I'm camera girl?” She bowed and introduced herself. “My name is (L/N) (Y/N). I’m in Class 1-5. It’s nice to meet you.”
Bokuto could mentally hear his mother and older sisters telling him that he has to act properly with a girl. “Bokuto Kotaro. Nice to meet you too, (L/N)-chan. So did you get some great shots yesterday?”
“I did,” (Y/N) caressed her folder with her thumb and softly smiled as she felt excitement course through her veins. “I never thought volleyball could get so exciting.”
This of course brought the boy’s attention. “Are you serious?!”
(Y/N) faltered a bit at his sudden loudness. She wasn’t used to his extrovert personality and the proof was evident when everyone in the hallway carried on as normal, ignoring the two first-years.
“Please tell me that it was your first time watching a volleyball match!”
“Uh… No?” (Y/N) averted her gaze to the ground. “I’ve seen volleyball on TV but it never really caught my interest. I usually change the channel when it’s on. Never really liked it during middle school either…”
It was as if each word that came out of her mouth was a dagger and each dagger was perfectly aimed at his heart. He could feel his hair deflate as he pouted deeper and deeper. He wanted to cry. Hide in a small, dark area where no one would find him and cry.
(Y/N) looked back at the boy in front of her and she could feel her heart fall from her chest to her stomach. This must be Bokuto’s ‘emo mode’ she heard so much about.
“B-Bokuto-san? Please don’t be sad.”
“I can’t,” His voice sounded so hollow and his eyes lost their shine. “What you just said was the saddest thing I’ve ever heard.”
Not wanting to create a scene, (Y/N)’s mind raced to find a solution. “I have some grilled meat left from my bento, you can have it if you want-”
Bokuto visibly perked up at the girl’s offer. “Grilled meat? My favorite!”
~
“So,” Bokuto finished eating the last piece of delicious grilled meat and stared at the girl in front of him. They opted to sit in her classroom where it was less occupied. “Why do you hate volleyball?”
“Huh?” (Y/N) furrowed her brows at his question. “I never said I hated it.”
“But you did!”
She was sure -100% positive- that she never used the word hate and she was just about to point it out when a thought popped into her mind. What if -for Bokuto- the words ‘hate’ and ‘never liked’ meant the same thing to him? So does that mean her ‘normal’ and his ‘normal’ were completely different? Most likely.
“You know maybe that’s for the best.”
“Huh?” Bokuto tilted his head in confusion.
(Y/N) swallowed nervously before placing her portfolio folder on the desk in front of Bokuto. This was it. He’s going to see her work for the first time. With a bit of courage, (Y/N) opened up both literally (as she opened her folder) and figuratively (as this was the start of her friendship with the extrovert).
“I didn’t understand what the hype over volleyball was all about.” Bokuto opened his mouth, ready to defend his beloved sport so (Y/N) quickly continued, “But you changed that.”
“I have?”
(Y/N) nodded excitedly and flipped the pages of her portfolio before stopping at the one picture of the boy himself successfully completing a jump serve.
“Is that…” Bokuto couldn’t even finish his sentence. He was rendered speechless by the image.
“That was the moment,” (Y/N) gazed at the image with such admiration that she no longer felt nervous about sharing her work. “You helped me realize that volleyball isn’t just a game but a battle on the court. The momentum was crazy!”
Bokuto grinned at her words. “I know, right?! What did you think about my serve?”
No longer feeling shy, (Y/N) scooted to the edge of her seat. The smile on her face could match Bokuto’s. “That was amazing! I thought it was game over when your teammate injured himself but you came in and…and… I don’t know. Breathed new life into the game, I guess. It’s hard to explain-”
“No, no, no. I know exactly what you're talking about. It’s the best thing about volleyball. Anything can happen in a split second. When I was subbed in, I felt all eyes on me.”
“Weren’t you nervous?”
“Of course not! It was my chance to prove to everyone I’m here. That’s what Coach Yamiji told me. He told me I was the team’s secret weapon and the other team never expected me to be so awesome. Now, I have a chance to be in the starting line-up in the next match!” Bokuto looked back at the picture of himself, his heart beating rapidly with happiness. “I want to become the best ace this school has ever had!”
(Y/N) felt goosebumps on her skin at Bokuto’s declaration. Was this what confidence does to a person? Could she ever gain such confidence in her skills like Bokuto is with volleyball?
“This is an awesome picture! And this one! That one, too!” Bokuto’s grin never faltered as he flipped through her portfolio. “Wow, you even got me spiking the winning point! You’re amazing!”
Her (E/C) eyes filled with hope. “Y-You like them?”
“Like them? I LOVE THEM!” Bokuto’s confession could be heard from the hallway, causing some students to peer into the classroom. “I’ve never had my picture professionally taken before.”
“P-Professional?” (Y/N) could feel the heat rise from her neck to her face. “Th-They’re not that good, Bokuto-san. I still have a lot to learn.”
Bokuto wasn’t having it. “What are you talking about? These are great! Be more confident in yourself, (L/N)-chan.”
(Y/N) watched as he continued to marvel at her work and she couldn’t help the warm feeling of pride blossom within her. While Bokuto insisted her pictures were top-tier, (Y/N) knew that there was more she had to learn, but for now, she’ll take Bokuto’s words to heart.
“Alright. Then please call me by my first name.” She extended her hand towards him. “I look forward to working with you, future ace. I can’t wait for what you do next.”
Bokuto grinned at her confidence. With both hands, the male shook the girl’s entire arm. “I’ll do my best, (Y/N)-chan. Just you watch. When I become the ace, you're going to be in love with volleyball and it will be thanks to me! Bokuto Kotaro! Hey! Hey! Hey!”
The girl laughed. “When you become the ace, my camera and I will be there.”
Bokuto beamed once more. “Call me Kotaro. I have a feeling we’re going to be best friends.”
“I think so too!”
End of Flashback
(Y/N) chuckled softly at her core memory. Bokuto has kept his word ever since then and in return she has as well. Countless memories were shared between them and even more when Akaashi joined the group.
She was there to celebrate every win. She was there to mourn every loss but during those rare moments (Y/N) has watched Bokuto pick himself up and continue to play his heart out in the next match.
Of course, along the way, (Y/N) has met with other great people from other schools. She never thought she would get the chance to meet the people that make up a powerhouse team. There was Kuroo from Nekoma, Ushijima and Tendo from Shiratorizawa, and even Sakusa from Itachiyama. Along with the rest of their respective teams, it was no wonder they were contenders in the Spring Tournament.
But for some reason, the silver-haired boy was just an inch above the rest. Biased or not, it was Bokuto that introduced her to volleyball and (Y/N) would always be grateful for that.
“I can’t wait for next year!” Bokuto’s loud voice brought her back to reality. “It’s going to be so awesome!” With one hand over her shoulder and the other over Akaashi’s, “Let’s practice my cross shots!”
Both her and Akaashi looked at each other and laughed. Bokuto tilted his head to one side, confused as to why his best friends were laughing. Nonetheless, he laughed with them too.
“Alright,” (Y/N) smiled at her friends. “But first let’s take a picture.”
As (Y/N) took out her phone and Bokuto marveled at the various filters and stickers, Akaashi took a moment to analyze. He knew his seniors were close but he always wondered if there was a possibility that the two could be something more than just friends. And he wasn’t the only one who thought that either -the volleyball team, the managers, even the coaches- all watched from the sidelines whenever Bokuto and (Y/N) interacted with one another, hoping to see a confession.
It was the classic best friends-falling-for-another-but-they’re-both-oblivious scenario and everyone wants to know the ending. They’ve seen how the two of you are to each other. There were so many example to choose from, such as:
If there was an upcoming math test, (Y/N) would give out her notes to help Bokuto out. She would even spend the night at his place to make sure the lessons stuck, making a great impression on his family at the same time.
Bokuto would gladly volunteer to be (Y/N)’s muse in any of her projects, no matter the project’s purpose. As mentioned before, (Y/N) would help set the ball for the ace but she would put her foot down if HOURS have gone by, stating that resting is just as important. She would later treat Bokuto to his favorite meal afterwards.
Before Akaashi, (Y/N) was the only person to bring Bokuto out of his ‘emo mode’. The team knew this early on.
Washio, Sarukai, Konoha, Komi, etc.: Come on Bokuto. It was just a practice match. Don’t beat yourself up.
Bokuto: *pouts and hugs his knees tighter as he hides between the gym mats* I can’t. I was terrible.
Managers: We need (Y/N).
Coach: Someone go get (Y/N)!
Ten minutes later, ✨(Y/N) the savior✨ arrived.
(Y/N): Kotaro, please don’t be sad. It’s called a practice match for a reason. Please don’t beat yourself up. I know you. This isn’t going to stop you from becoming a great ace. We all believe in you.
Bokuto: *visibly perks up, eyes bright, and smiling brightly* You’re right! I will be a great ace. Hey, hey, hey!
And just like that, Bokuto was back to normal.
Washio, Sarukai, Konoha, Komi, etc.: We said the same thing and now he gets hyped up. What’s up with that?
Managers: Don’t question it. It’s different when he hears it from (Y/N).
After that, it was declared that (Y/N) was a member of the volleyball team. Position: Hype-woman.
Bokuto met her parents on an unplanned visit. Her parents were wary of him at first but that soon changed when they noticed how their usual reserved daughter grew more confident. From then on, they welcomed Bokuto.
Every away game the team has to take a bus and surprise surprise Bokuto claimed the seat next to (Y/N). The two of them would play games, tell childhood stories, take silly pictures or just share funny memes on social media. It’s late on the way back home. No one had any trouble sleeping. Akaashi was the first to wake up when the bus finally arrived at its destination. He was just about to wake everyone when he saw a rare sight: a sleeping Bokuto and (Y/N). Her head on his shoulder with his jacket covering her body while Bokuto’s head rested on her own. Akaashi quietly took out his phone and took a picture. And while the jacket covered (Y/N) like a blanket, Akaashi had a sneaking suspicion that the two were holding hands as they slept.
Akaashi would save the picture until he finds the right moment to share it -either graduation or whenever the two finally become a couple. He hoped for the latter.
When the team made it to Nationals, after hugging his team with pride, Bokuto immediately looked for (Y/N) amongst the various photographers in the gym. He easily found her and ran up to her with great speed before hugging her tightly. Neither one of them noticed how the cheers from the Fukurodani audience section grew louder.
“Akaashi!” (Y/N) waved him over, her phone in her hand. “Come on, we’re waiting for you!”
“Ah, sorry.”
“What were you thinking about Akaashi?” Bokuto asked.
“Oh, just some memories.”
(Y/N) gave him an understanding smile. At the same time, the words of her senpai from two years ago ran once more in her mind. “Never let these moments be forgotten because one day these photographs may become something precious to someone.”
“Well, let’s capture this memory while we can.”
“Oh! Let me take the picture. Please, (Y/N)? I won’t disappoint you.”
“You could never disappoint me, Bokuto.”
Bokuto felt his heart skip a beat at her words. Was he getting warm? He felt warm. Oh, he was in the gym. That’s the only reason, right?
With (Y/N) in between the volleyball players, she brought her arms over each of their shoulders. “Ok, smile everybody! Nationals on three! One…”
Akaashi made a peace sign with his hand. Mentally, he prayed to any god up there. That next year was the year a confession will happen. “Two…”
“Three!”
“NATIONALS!”
~
And that’s a wrap! Let me know what you think! Next fic will definitely be about the ace-with-the-glass-heart Asahi!!!!

The Wing Spiker And The Libero
Ryunosuke Tanaka X Male!Reader
Word Count: 1412
Requested: Anon
Request: can i req tanaka x male reader who’s a libero for fukurodani, they are both painfully obviously crushing for each other hard and it kills their teammates, so they keep tryna set them up together during the training camp with many failed attempts until they eventually get together yk 🫶🏼🫶🏼
Tumblr media
You dove down getting the ball back in the air for your team, pushing yourself up onto your feet in record time ready for the next hit back, with Komi getting ready to graduate they were putting you out on the field more since you were the only other Libero that they had. You caught sight of the ball coming back over “Got it!” You yelled, passing it back forward to Akaashi who set the ball for Bokuto who gave an amazing line shot. “Guys did you see that!?” Bokuto asked, you could have sworn you saw stars in his eyes. “I saw Bokuto.” Akaashi gave a small smile at his hyper friend. “(Y/N) that was pretty amazing.” Washio clapped your shoulder and you smiled. “It’s nothing.” You waved him off. “You guys done congratulating each other!?” Kuroo called over and you shrugged. “Might take a little longer.” You shrugged as you walked to the back line again as Washio got ready to serve. The game continued back and forth for a few minutes before you came off court for a minute, you grabbed some water eyes scanning the other games briefly “how are the other teams doing?” “Kurasuno is doing pretty good.” Komi answered, “you could probably learn something from their Libero if you watched him.” “Who’s the guy he's jumping around with?” You asked as you watched the two boys in question. “That’s they’re wing spiker. He’s pretty good too.” Komi answered. “He’s pretty cute.” You smiled as you watched him hit another spike “there’s a lot of power behind that spike.” His eyes connected with yours briefly before the coach called out for you to rejoin the game.
“Dude you good?” Noya asked as he looked at Tanaka. “Do you know who that is?” Tanaka asked as he pointed over at where you were. “Huh? He’s the Libero for Fukurodani.” He answered as you jogged back onto the court stretching as you crouched low, ready for whatever came your way. “Yeah but do you know his name?” Tanaka asked. “No… Why do you wanna know?” Noya asked as he watched his best friend. “You think he’s cute?” “You know my heart belongs to Kiyoko.” He dismissed the question but Noya just smirked as we walked over to his upperclassman to inform them of his discovery.
You were sitting at lunch, most of your team going off to do their own things, while you watched playbacks of yourself to try and figure out how you could be better. “You seem like you never stop working.” You jumped at the sound of the new voice, you looked over and saw the libero from Kurasuno. “Oh hi, you're the libero from Kurasuno right?” You asked. “Names Yu Nishinoya.” He introduced himself and you smiled. “(Y/N) (L/N).” You put down the tablet that you were watching your plays on. “I was told that I could learn something from you, based on what I’ve seen you guys do on the court. That's probably true.” “Oh yeah, I guess.” Noya scratched the back of his head. “Well when you have the time I’d love to practice with you.” you said and he nodded. “Sure! We could go now if you want, I’ll get my buddy Tanaka to spike for us.” He pointed over his shoulder at the wing spiker you had seen him with before and you nodded. “Sure, let's go.” You nodded. “Hey Tanaka, are you busy?” Noya asked. “No dude what’s up?” He asked. “We need someone to spike for us.” Noya said, you waved when he glanced back to see who else was with his friend. “Oh yeah sure!” Tanaka cheered. “Bet you can’t wait to see my spikes up close and personal!” “Actually I did see your spikes today. I want to know if I can get that back in the air.” You answered with a wink. “Well let’s see how good you are.” Tanaka smirked as he shoved the rest of his food into his mouth. “Do you want to wait a little while, surely you're just going to feel sick if you jump around after eating like that.” You suggested putting your hands up as you walked forward. “Nah I’ll be fine.” He waved you off. Turned out that after about 30 minutes of training he found out that he was not fine but that was the start of your long distance friendship with Tanaka and Noya.
The next time that you both saw each other, you had gained a lot more muscle mass and had a few tricks up your sleeve. You had seen them on the TV and were sad for them when they didn’t make it to nationals. “(Y/N)?” Tanaka asked as you grabbed your bag from the couch. “Oh hey!” You waved as you looked at him, he was still as attractive as he was before, you scratched the back of your head as his eyes seemed to travel your body “are you okay?” “Oh… Yeah um… You look good.” He finally said. “Well you don’t look too bad yourself.” You smiled. “Tanaka, would you help me with something?” Kiyoko called from the coach. “Oh sure thing!” He called running off before you could say anything else. “Are you going to tell me what that was?” Bokuto asked. “What are you talking about Bokuto?” You asked as you turned away from the wing spiker. “Come on!” Bokuto wrapped an arm around your shoulder. “What are you doing Bokuto?” Akaashi asked. “Fabricating connections.” You answered, shrugging away his arm and walking towards the bedroom. “Bokuto, what were you talking about?” Akaashi asked as you walked away from them. “He likes Tanaka.” Bokuto muttered. “Who does?” They both jump at the voice of Sugawara. “Are you talking about (Y/N)?” “What does it matter to you?” Bokuto asked with a pout. “Well what if I said that I had a plan to get them together?” Suga asked. “You do?” Bokuto asked. “We really shouldn’t interfere.” Akaashi warned them but he knew that he lost them when they started talking in hushed whispers and giggling to themselves.
Over the next couple of days you were forced to sit with Tanaka and practice with Tanaka, it wasn’t like you didn’t enjoy it but you knew that something was wrong. The thing that actually brought you both together was Tanaka falling on the court during one of your late night practices, you had been watching the game since your time was taking a break, so you saw him go down hard, his teammates helped him over to the bench and Akaashi was the one who called you over “if I remember rightly you were taking a course for sports injuries and first aid.” “Yeah, what’s hurt?” You asked. “It’s nothing… I just went down a bit hard, you know after some rest I’ll be fine.” He answered, waving you off and you smiled. “Alright, will you let me check though just to be sure?” You asked. “Fine.” He mumbled as you ushered the others off, you started to check the knee that he had used to catch himself. “Have you noticed that they are acting weird?” You asked. “Yeah.” He nodded “they keep making us spend time together, we’re already friends I don’t know what they’re trying to do.” “That might be my team's fault, sorry about that.” You scratched the back of your head and reached into the first aid kit to grab an ice pack. “My team is doing it too.” He answered. “Yeah…” You nodded. “What?” He asked. “Alright if I tell you what’s going on you have to promise not to hate me.” You said sitting cross legged in front of him. “I don’t know if I can hate you.” He answered. “They’re doing this because they found out that I like you and they think that they can get us together.” You mumbled playing with your hands. “You like me?” He asked. “You don’t have to like me back it’s just, they’ll get the message eventually-” “I never said that I didn’t like you.” He frowned. “You never said you did.” You argued and he nodded. “I do.” He said softly. “So..?” You asked. “So let’s do something about it.” He suggested leaning forward, you moved your position so that you were leaning up towards him. “Sure, let's do something about it.” You said softly, pressing a kiss to his lips.

Bokuto x Top male reader
Part two to this
Tumblr media Tumblr media
🩶 The following morning, Bokuto Koutarou awoke with a satisfied smile on his face, his thoughts continuing to replay the passionate evening he had spent with the self-assured and forceful M/N. He was filled with a fresh desire as a result of the vivid memories of their close bond and the explosive pleasure they had shared.
🩶 Bokuto found himself unable to let go of M/N as the days passed. He was now hungry for more of the heat and desire they had enjoyed after their rendezvous. Thoughts of the M/N's controlling touch, their self-assured manner, and the way they had brought him to life continued to consume him.
🩶 On the volleyball field, Bokuto's contagious enthusiasm appeared to have doubled, and when he applied his newfound drive to his play, his spikes gained even more strength. It was impossible for his teammates to miss the shift in him; the memories of that incredible night continued to drive his resolve and focus.
🩶 Bokuto chose to contact M/N because he could no longer contain his curiosity. In order to go deeper into their relationship and find out what more they could offer, he felt compelled to see them again. He was both excited and anxious as he sent the message, hoping for a favorable answer.
🩶 Weeks passed, and Bokuto's excitement increased. When at last a message from M/N showed up on his screen, his heart gave a little flutter. Bokuto couldn't contain his enthusiasm as he traveled to the agreed-upon place after they decided to meet again.
🩶 Bokuto felt that familiar rush of thrill and need as their eyes locked again. But this time, there was more; there was a stronger bond and understanding between them. As they got to know one another better, they found that they had common interests, goals, and objectives, which strengthened their relationship that had begun that fateful night.
🩶 Their interactions went beyond the purely physical; they exchanged dreams, giggles, and vulnerable moments. Bokuto discovered that his feelings for M/N went beyond the intense evenings they shared. They developed a close bond and became each other's confidants, helping each other through life's highs and lows.
🩶 Bokuto came to the realization that M/N had sparked a fire within him as well as a sense of personal development and self-discovery. Although their love was sincere and passionate, it was also based on mutual respect, understanding, and trust.
🩶 They set out on a romantic, passionate, and introspective journey together, accepting and appreciating each other's shortcomings as well as their talents. Bokuto's contagious enthusiasm for volleyball persisted on the court, driven by his love for the sport as well as his newfound love for M/N.
🩶 As their love story progressed, Bokuto and M/N faced challenges; nonetheless, their bond persevered in the face of these obstacles. Together, they surmounted life's challenges and discovered solace and encouragement in one other's arms.
🩶 Bokuto was widely recognized for his infectious energy and passion for volleyball, but all of a sudden, he was feeling something more: a love that consumed him, fueled his devotion, and provided him with a level of satisfaction he had never known. And when he thought back on that fateful night, he couldn't help but feel grateful for the magnetic pull that had brought him and M/N together and irrevocably changed their lives.

Kuroo Tetsuro x Reader
One shot from my Haikyuu one shot collection on Wattpad.
⚠️ EXPLICIT CONTENT ⚠️
⚠️ 18+ ⚠️
🛑 DO NOT PROCEED IF UNDERAGE 🛑
Kenma's 21st birthday was a couple of days ago, and Hinata wanted to throw him a party. It was nice knowing that Kenma had close friends still. I haven't seen him, or anyone from Nekoma in about six months. I've been so busy with work and school, I just haven't had a chance to come back to Tokyo. I had about half a year left of college, if I continued with the schedule I was on now.
My train arrived around two in the afternoon, and Kenma told me to come to his house since the party wasn't until seven tonight. I wasn't sure where the party was, but I knew we were going out. I started walking the familiar path to Kenma's house when I started thinking back on my time at Nekoma.
Being the youngest grandchild of the boys' volleyball coach was difficult at times. Everyone expected so much from me, and I pushed myself and pushed myself, too far. So far that I injured myself at the beginning of my third year, it's a vivid memory I have. When I think of it, I can feel the impact all over again.
I was chasing a ball, a ball I should've let go, but the opposing team was at match point, we needed this point to tie. I managed to get the ball, but the lunge I made sent me into the judges' table. The crowd and team watched the ball, but I could only see stars from the pain. The impact on the table had my knee cap fractured, the flip over the table, I dislocated my shoulder, and then shattered my elbow on the same arm.
I sighed and looked up at the cloudy sky, I hated myself after that. We won, the team made it to Nationals, without their captain being able to play. We lost in the second round, and that was that. I then became a sort of coach to the boys' volleyball club, my grandfather wanting me to continue my career in any way possible.
My college career consisted of physical therapy, physical training, and sports medicine. I could easily implement those into coaching in the future. I was even the trainer for the men's volleyball club at the college I attended. I had an interview for an internship for the Japanese Olympic team for next summer. My grandfather was extremely proud of me for my achievements since my injury.
Since I spent so much time with the boys' volleyball club, I became close to the team, especially the third years. Yaku and I were closest, though Kuroo was in the same class as us. Kai was in class four, but when the three could hang out together, they did. It was fun watching them in their last year of volleyball, last year of school. They were so close and supported one another through everything.
Then it happened. I kissed Kuroo. I didn't just kiss Kuroo, I kissed Kuroo in front of the entire team, and what part of the school was present at the tournament. At the Spring High to advance to nationals. They had lost to Fukurodani, Bokuto was ecstatic, but was actually quiet afterward, not rubbing it in Kuroo's face. Next, they played Nohebi and advanced to Nationals. I ran from the stands and took the steps two at a time until I burst through the doors. I found Kuroo, his messy black hair easy to spot, and threw my arms around him. Then, I kissed him.
He eased me down to the floor, him being so much taller than me, and I stepped back. We never said a word about the kiss, even to this day, no one has said a word. Aside from Kenma, the butt always gives me a hard time about it. He even sent me a string of kissy emojis this morning when I told him I was getting on the train. Ass.
"Where's sleeping beauty?" I asked as Kenma opened his door.
"Sleeping," Kenma answered.
I gave the man a hug and smiled as I stepped back, I feel like he's grown even more. "Of course he is."
"Going to give him true loves kiss?"
I snorted. "I walked right into that one."
"Sure did." I followed Kenma into his old bedroom and found the male in question was in fact asleep.
He was just like I remember. I haven't seen him in about nine months, but while he's grown since high school, he really didn't change all that much. He's more muscular and taller, but that black messy hair that I've dreamt of brushing my fingers through again. I'd hang out with the guys and he'd always manage to put his head in my lap, simply so I'd start playing with his hair, it was always an absentminded gesture.
"I'm going to shower." Kenma's voice made me quit dreaming for a moment.
"Okay." I tossed my bag in his desk chair and plopped in the bean bag.
I pulled my phone out and smirked as I snapped a pic of the male who was sleeping peacefully.
"Did you just take a picture of me?"
I reigned in the blush that threatened to light my face, "Good blackmail material."
"Let me see." He turned his head and blinked a few times before I saw his eyes widen slightly.
I tilted my head, "Is something wrong?"
"Your hair has gotten long."
I touched my braid that was laying over my shoulder, "Oh, I always had it short when I was playing volleyball, but I prefer it long." I turned my phone around and showed him the picture I took.
He made a throaty noise, something like a grunt, and turned his head back away. "You look tired." He mumbled.
"I've been up since seven this morning, I had to work for a few hours before I headed to Tokyo."
He shifted on the bed, moving over all the way to one side. "Lay down then."
I arched a brow, though Kuroo couldn't see me. "Finally trying to get me in bed with you?"
"If I wanted you in bed with me, it would've happened." I couldn't decide if I wanted to be offended or embarrassed, but both seemed to make my stomach drop, and my heart cracks just a little. "Wait, that sounded wrong." He moved to kneel on the bed now.
"Whatever, Kuroo." Was all I managed to say.
"No." He grabbed my forearm and pulled me to the edge of the bed. He sat back on his legs and looked at me curiously. "I didn't mean it like that."
"Then how did you mean it?" I shouldn't have acted as I cared, but I found that I definitely did care.
He just stared at me and I couldn't even begin to try and guess what he was thinking. His face was so serious, he was contemplating something, that was for sure. "Why did you kiss me at the Spring High?"
"That was almost four years ago, Kuroo." Why bring that up now?
"And I think about it almost every day." His voice was dangerously low.
"Tetsu... I-"
"Hey, did you manage to- oh." Kenma caught us in an interesting position. Kuroo was kneeling on the bed, still holding my arm, and I was flush with the edge of the bed.
Kuroo let go of me and I turned my body, "He was awake, a faker like always." I was trying to joke, but I winced when I realized the tone I had.
"I was getting up so she could lay down," Kuroo answered and moved off the bed.
I craned my neck to look up at the much taller male, he was at least eight inches taller, if not an entire foot. "You didn't have to get up for me."
"You need your rest." I rubbed my thighs together but quickly stopped when I saw Kuroo cut his eyes down.
"Thanks." Was all I could think to say. I shrugged my light jacket off and crawled onto the bed. The pillow smelled of Kuroo's cologne already and I fought the urge to inhale deeply.
"I'm going to grab a snack, you want anything?" Kenma glanced between the two of us.
"I'm okay, thank though."
"I'll come with you." Kuroo thankfully followed after Kenma.
After the door closed, I gave into temptation and smelled the pillow. Heaven. I snuggled down even more and found the creeping feeling of sleep approaching fast. I didn't take time off like this often, so relaxing and having no worries at the moment, it was nice. I pulled my hair free and out the hair tie around my wrist. I was asleep before the males made it back into the room.
Kuroo POV:
"What was that all about?" Kenma pounced the second we were in the kitchen.
"What are you talking about?" I really wasn't sure what had come over me earlier, but when I opened my eyes and saw her, something ignited within me.
"Don't play stupid." Kenma grabbed a fruit tray and put it on the counter.
"We were talking."
"Funny, looked like you were about to pull her into bed with you."
"I wanted to."
Kenma dropped the strawberry he was holding. "What?"
I ran a hand through my hair and sighed heavily. "I never told you how I felt about her."
"I assumed you wanted to sleep with her like every other pretty girl you've met."
"I'm not that bad." I corrected.
"Your reputation says otherwise."
"I know that, and that's why I kept my distance." Kenma gave me a look at told me to keep going. "She's too good for me, always has been. I didn't want to drag her down with my reputation. Her grandfather would've been disappointed."
"Look, I have no idea what you're getting at, but, she's had a crush on you since your second year of high school. Then, after her injury, the two of you got closer, and she found herself falling for you. She knew you had a reputation, but she didn't care, and didn't believe it."
"You seem to know a lot about how she felt."
"I know a lot about how she feels. We talk at least once a week, Kuroo. She wanted you to look at her like you did the other girls, she wanted you to see her in a different light, not friend zone her. She loved it when you laid down in her lap, making the other girls jealous."
"What?" Kenma gave a sad smile before continuing.
"There was a rumor going around your third year, especially after the kiss incident."
"What kind of rumor?"
"You really didn't hear it?" I shook my head no, "That Y/n and you were sleeping together, but that you didn't want a relationship. Then, after the kiss, people really thought it was true and that you got pissed off and stopped talking to her. She tried to act like nothing had happened, and while you did too, you still pushed her away for the remainder of the year. She just let everyone talk shit, she didn't care what they thought of her, she only worried about you."
"Why didn't you say anything?" This strange feeling of shame washed over me and I felt anger fill me.
"We were busy with practice and then Nationals, I didn't want to distract you. I talked to Yaku about it, and he agreed."
"Yaku knew?"
"Yea."
"Fuck." How was I so blind? How did I never hear the rumor myself?
"Everyone respected you, but everyone was terrified of you, Kuroo. Y/n always stood up for you, and defended your honor, even if it meant damning herself. She knew the real you, just as much as I did."
"What do I do?" I seriously had no idea what to do with the information I had just heard.
Kenma shrugged, "That's up to you." He put the fruit back in the fridge and then continued talking. "But Yaku plans on asking her out tonight."
"The hell?!"
"Yaku found out that she and Daichi broke up, thinks he can swoop in and win her heart. Or something like that." Kenma waved his hand around lazily.
"Her... and Daichi... dated?"
"Couple of years if I remember correctly."
"What happened?" Daichi was a nice guy, I could see them together, for the long haul.
Kenma headed down the hall to his room and opened the door. "I'm not sure, she didn't want to talk about it."
She was sleeping soundly, in the same position I had been. Her h/c hair had fallen into her face slightly, she had taken her braid down. This warm feeling filled me and I didn't stop as I walked to the bed and brushed her hair back, letting me see her face fully.
"How long ago?" I whispered.
"Few months," Kenma answered quietly as he grabbed his phone. "I'm going to the living room." He didn't say anymore as he left the room, even closing the door.
I took her bag from the desk chair and sat down, spinning around to watch her sleep. I'm not being creepy or anything. She was in jeans and a simple t-shirt, the travel of the day making her want to be comfortable I assumed, she still looked adorable. Beautiful, she was always beautiful. I loved watching her play volleyball, the captain of her own team, and an ace. She played libero her first year of high school when she was the shortest on the team.
She stirred slightly and her shirt hiked up around her waist, exposing her lower back. I leaned over slightly, tilting my head to the side. Her smooth flesh was decorated with a tattoo it seemed, barely peeking out from under her shirt. My curiosity was about to get the better of me, but her phone started ringing next to me on the desk. She made a groaning noise and looked up at me. She was so damn sexy, that tried and disheveled look, I wanted to wake up to it. I handed her her phone and she blinked a few times before answering.
"Daichi?" I tried to remain indifferent as I heard her say his name.
I could hear the former captain on the other end of the phone. "Are you in town?"
"I'm at Kenma's with him and Kuroo." She answered sleepily.
"Kuroo?" She flinched and then rolled onto her back.
"Kenma said he got in last night and stayed here." She and Kenma did talk a lot.
"I was hoping I could talk to you." She dropped her head to the side, looking at me.
"About what, Daichi?"
"I miss you." Even I could hear the pleading tone.
She sighed, closing her eyes. I wanted to hold her, protect her from whatever harm I could. "While I miss you too, I'm not changing my mind. I do love you, Dai, just not like you want me to."
"That doesn't even make sense, if you love me, then let's get married."
I choked on air, making her open her eyes and look at me curiously. She held my stare as she answered. "I already told you, I don't want to marry you. To which you replied 'then I'm not wasting any more time trying to convince you otherwise'. I understand your reasoning."
My body seemed to move on its own as I knelt beside the bed, my fingers brushing over the skin of her neck. She shivered at my touch but didn't move away, still holding my gaze.
"Y/n, please, I was wrong in saying that. Imagine planning a proposal for the woman you want to marry and she says no. Not only that, but she also says no because she's still in love with someone else."
She rolled her head back to stare at the ceiling. "I said I couldn't marry you right now, not as long as I still loved him. There is a difference. It's fine, Daichi, I'm not mad at you. Besides, our lives are headed down separate paths."
"Does he love you?"
She let out a harsh laugh that tugged at my emotions. "I doubt it."
"So you didn't cheat on me?"
"Of course not." She sounded so crushed that he even suggested it. "I'll admit that I went into the relationship unsure of my feelings for you, and for him. But, I didn't, and still don't see a relationship happening with him, so that's why I made the effort with you."
Her shirt has now ridden up on her stomach and I could see a good four inches of her abdomen, still toned and flat. Again, my body moved without me thinking and I ran my fingertips up from her hip to the hem of her shirt and back down. The motion made her close her eyes, and she seemed to relax slightly, given the conversation she was having.
"Do I know him?" Daichi asked.
I repeated the gesture a couple of times, trying to calm her nerves. "Yes." She admitted in a hushed voice.
"Will you at least tell me who he is then?"
"I can't." Her voice was low and she sounded heartbroken. I glanced at her face and saw tears sliding down the side of her face, pooling in her ear.
"I'm sorry, baby, I didn't mean to make you cry. I just want to try and understand, that's all."
"I'm sorry, Dai." She choked on a sob when she finished saying it.
"Don't cry, okay? He's an idiot if he can't see how special you are."
She managed a small laugh before answering. "I'll see you tonight."
"Okay, baby."
She just dropped the phone from her ear and covered her face with her hands, trying to muffle her crying. I moved onto the bed and pulled her into my chest, placing an arm under her head and the other around her. I couldn't stand seeing a woman cry, but seeing her breakdown, it made me feel like my own world was crumbling around me. I wanted to pick up her broken pieces and put them back together.
"I'm about to-" Kenma stopped talking once he saw us.
"Daichi called," I explained as I moved my head to look at Kenma.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Kenma asked, and Y/n shook her head no.
"Do you want me to go?" I asked, making her shake her head no again.
"I'm going to go meet Hinata, he said he needed help moving something. I'll be back about six unless you want to come with."
She didn't move, and I took the hint. "I'll stay with her, you go ahead." Kenma gave me a stern look but simply gave me a nod as he closed the door.
"Your shirt." She mumbled into her hands. "I'm sorry." She went to pull away but I held her still.
"I have another," I answered.
She moved a hand away and wrapped it around me, her fingers clinging to the fabric of my shirt. I realized she was laying on her right side and I went to move onto my back, letting her take the weight off of her body. She peered up at me, her face red and blotched, eyes bloodshot and glassy. I wiped her exposed cheek as I answered.
"Your right side is your injured side." Her face seemed to light up slightly.
"You remember that?"
"I'll never forget it." She just stared at me, shock written on her features. "You don't remember who carried you to the medic?" She focused back onto her hand on my chest for a moment, racking her brain for the memory. "I watched you hit the table and then flip over, I jumped the barrier and scooped you up, you were biting your lip so hard to keep from screaming that you drew blood."
Reader POV:
Hearing his words made this memory come rushing back to me. "You rode in the ambulance with me."
"I stayed with you until they took in for the MRI and other tests, then I sat with your grandfather until they came out, telling him you were in surgery."
"Tetsu." I peered back up at him as I mumbled his name.
"Why didn't you ever tell me about the rumor in high school?"
"Fucking Kenma," I grumbled.
"Don't blame this on Kenma. We were talking in the kitchen and he told me about it. Don't you think I deserved to know?"
I shrugged best I could, "It was a long time ago."
"I knew what kind of reputation I had, but to let people think we were fooling around and then-"
"It doesn't matter anymore, Kuroo." I moved to push off him but he rolled so I was beneath him.
"It does matter." He snapped. "It matters to me at least."
I couldn't process his words, no, I didn't have time. He had closed the distance between us and pressed his lips to mine, silencing any thoughts, let alone words, I had. His large hands held my face and his thumbs stroked my skin tenderly. I tilted my head and opened my mouth at his request, deepening the kiss. He suddenly broke away and got off the bed in one swift motion, leaving me cold and alone.
"I'm sorry, you just broke up with Daichi." He ran a hand through his messy hair and sighed. "And you said you're in love with someone else. I'm sorry." He repeated I'm sorry a least four more times while he paced.
I mustered up every ounce of courage I had and stood up, then said it. "It's you."
He froze and looked up at me, eyes wide and face slackened. "What's me?"
"Don't make me say it." My voice was suddenly hushed.
He stepped closer and grabbed my arms, "Say it." He urged.
"I turned Daichi's proposal down.... because I'm still in love with you." There, I said it. I laid it all out on the line. He could reject me and it would all be over, it's the reason I never said anything in the four-plus years he's been the center of my world. I only saw him two or three times a year in the last couple of years, but my heart still yearned for him. "I'm not sure when it happened, but it did."
"Second year." I jerked my head up and looked into his eyes. "You were in the stands, you called out to me after a win. Then, when you made it to the floor, you called me Tetsu for the first time." He got really nervous all of the sudden, even rubbing the back of his neck. "It may sound cheesy, but no ones ever made me feel the same as when you say it."
I gripped the collar of his shirt and pulled him down to me as I pushed onto my tippy toes. I kissed him hard, trying to get him to understand, to finally see what I've been wanting to say. Kuroo wrapped his arms around my waist before his hands slid down my hips, ass and then hoisted me up. He pushed me against the wall as my legs wrapped around him, he was already hard and my body trembled with need.
Kuroo broke the kiss, simply studying my face before he slammed his lips back to mine. I couldn't get enough, I needed him, all of him. My fingers gripped his bed head hair and I tugged at it, making him buck into me. I moaned into the kiss, the pressure building within me needs to be released. His mouth left a hot, wet trail down my neck until he decided my shirt needed to be removed. Keeping me against the wall, he was able to pull my shirt off.
"Tetsu." I moaned as he licked my collarbone before biting down gently. "Harder," I whispered, making him hum against the crook of my neck. "Bite harder." I urged.
I felt the smirk on my skin before he licked, slow and teasing across my shoulder, when he felt me shiver, he bit down, hard, extracting a moan. He repeated the action a few times, littering my chest with bites, then licking and kissing them in apology. He kissed his way back to my lips and brushed his over my own before pecking me softly.
"I need you." He said breathlessly.
"Please, Tetsu, don't stop."
Kuroo kissed me again and let me slide down off his waist. He knelt before me and unbuttoned my jeans before sliding them down, peering up at me the entire time. Once I was in bra and panties only, this fire seemed to light inside of us both. I pulled Kuroo up and began undoing his shirt as he fumbled with his belt and jeans. We studied each other's almost nude bodies before I reached behind me to remove my bra, I let it drop and kicked it aside.
I bit my lip as I watched Kuroo's gaze travel the expanse of my body before he reached forward slowly, turning me around. "It's beautiful." His voice seemed to drop even deeper, making me want him even more. The tattoo on my back, a black panther, ran from shoulder to hip almost. His hands traced it before he settled at my hips and pushed my panties down, his mouth leaving a trail of kisses down my spine. I gasped in surprise when I felt him bite my ass cheek, to which let out a low chuckle.
Kuroo remained kneeling as he turned me, then he lifted one of my legs, propping it on his shoulder. He broke eye contact to take in my fully naked body, then wasted no more time as he flicked his tongue against my core. "You're gorgeous." He licked from my slit to my bundle of nerves and repeated the action over and over. I fisted his hair and brought him in even deeper.
His middle and ring finger pushed past my folds and I moaned at the feeling of him stroking my need perfectly. I couldn't help but rock into him as he ravaged me, his mouth perfect and fingers know exactly what to do. A slew of curses and praises both falling from my lips as he continued to push me to my high.
"Fuck." I rasped, trying to remain quiet.
"Scream for me, baby."
"Ahh!" I didn't hold back.
Kuroo continued to lap at my juices for a moment, stretching my orgasm for as long as he could. He stood up slowly and pushed his underwear off. I'm assuming from the biting incident, he gathered that I liked things a little rough because he rubbed his slick fingers over my lips before he pushed them in, making me taste the sweet nectar of myself. When he removed his fingers from my mouth, he replaced them with his own mouth. He moaned, tasting me on my own lips as I palmed his throbbing dick.
He lifted me again as I held him, lining us up for him to push into me. Once he felt the slick entrance, he eased himself in, letting us both relish the moment. It was like our bodies were meant for one another, fitting together perfectly. I held onto him tightly, as if my life depended on it as he began thrusting into me. I kissed his jawline, perfect and chiseled before kissing his neck, offering a few light bites of my own.
He pulled me off the wall, only to walk to the bed and drop us down, all without breaking away from me. Kuroo paused his movements, peering down at me, and what I saw, took my breath away. I saw a man looking at the woman he loved with all his heart, a man who was going to give her the world, no matter what the cost.
"Tetsu." I murmured.
"I love you, Y/n." Tears brimmed and he kissed them away.
"I love you, Tetsu."
His lips were salty from my tears, but we didn't care. Kuroo began moving again, bucking into me, long and deep strokes. Almost every move had me so close to the edge, every motion made me mewl, moan, or gasp. He began moving faster but still slammed himself home every time, striking my spot with every movement.
"I've dreamt of this," Kuroo whispered in my ear.
I couldn't form words, so I offered him hum in agreement. Kuroo rolled us over, putting me on top of him, I pushed myself upright, using his chest for balance. Eyes half-lidded and filled with lust, I looked down at this perfect man. I began moving and his fingers dug into the meaty flesh of my hips, helping me keep my pace. I became lost in him and closed my eyes, dropping my head back.
"Cum for me." He coaxed.
I rode him until I did just that, screaming his name as I did. My walls clenched around him and he pulled me down to kiss me again. He wrapped an arm around my waist as his other hand held my neck, putting my face into the crook of his neck. He began thrusting into me again, and I couldn't even begin to describe the feeling.
"Tetsu..." I moaned. "Don't stop," I begged.
"I'm close, baby."
"Cum, Tetsu." It was my turn to coax his release from him.
His chest rumbled as he grunted, I felt him swell before his salty seed filled me, making me cum again with him. After a few final thrusts, he stilled his movements. He moved an arm away, but I didn't dare move, he grabbed the sheet and pulled it over us both as he rolled onto his side. He kissed my forehead tenderly before brushing the hair from my face.
"Get some rest." He mumbled sleepily, he always loved to sleep.
"We should get dressed before Kenma gets home." I countered.
"He'll get over it." Kuroo chuckled.
I hummed as I snuggled into his chest. All because of a rumor I didn't say anything to him. All because of a rumor, he finally said something to me. Never let a rumor dictate your life.
"You're right," I said, letting sleep wash over me too.
