Sinnoh League Found Family Hcs that will be featured in my ongoing league story that you can read here: -yes cynthia is the champion but bertha is responsible for sinnoh turning very matriarchal. usually it's bertha who is the ultimate decider on these things and cynthia trusts her judgment the most. she gets what she wants. -bertha is literally the designated League Mom. literally she's the one every single league member goes to whenever they have personal problems. yes, even the stoic lucian. she is the best listener and will probably end up making you cocoa. -lucian and flint will show up in bertha's office just for the purpose of avoiding their own paperwork and to bother her. she also has to yell at them to stop licking the frosting when she's baking cupcakes. they do this to annoy her. -bertha is someone who's always willing to learn. she's happy to hear volkner talk about his inventions and his obsession with technology. he teaches her how to use the latest gadgets and she's always so enthralled by them. it actually makes volkner's eyes light up. -cynthia is the designated big sister. she was totally there for candice, gardenia, and maylene whenever "girl problems" came up. -the younger kids of the sinnoh league (aaron, gardenia, maylene, roark, and candice) were undergrounders, apart of sinnoh's grand underground program where kiddies turn into battling machines, which is why they were able to achieve their positions so young. the older generation seems to understand they're young, and therefore are super understanding. still. bertha has done more parenting in fifteen minutes than their families have done in fifteen years. -candice has a nickname. they call her "candy corn" because her full name is candice cornwall, and also because she's sweet as candy. -fantina is called "tina" by byron and wake, after drinking those two under the table at a bar for the first time. fantina always drinks those two under the table. she's kalosian. she handles her liquor better. -maylene was actually discovered by flint and gave her an explorer's kit to send her to the grand underground program after seeing her defiance toward a police officer. it was his idea to make her the new gym leader of veilstone. he was the first person she told about her dad. candice was the second. -roark refers to riley as some boy toy with a stupid fucking fedora. he hates riley because roark's father wanted him to be the gym leader of orebourgh instead of roark, and that pushed roark to become the undisputed leader of the grand underground to show his father. -aaron starts off as a selective mute who was hired to be a gym leader after roark insisted and no one wanted the eterna city position at the time. the sinnoh league didn't care about his muteness, because he did his work, did what he was told, and minded his business. when aaron wins the elite position, he learns to talk more with the support of his elites and cynthia. bertha especially, was very helpful. later he infodumps to them about bugs for 10-15 min. they let him. -gardenia has a garden that's the envy of the entire city. sometimes bertha will come over to help her out with it. people say that she's the most like cynthia, and by that I mean she has the "uncanny valley" look in her eyes, that something is a bit... off about her. really she's fine. that's just her face. -the sinnoh league has sunday brunch hosted by bertha. you don't miss a sunday brunch hosted by bertha unless you're on a ventilator. -when bertha cooks, byron, wake, lucian, volkner, flint, roark, and aaron (pretty much grown men) will fight over who gets to lick the spoon. -they're probably more of a family than any other league. they're a very tight knit group, and that's probably because of bertha. she was cheekily called "mother bertha" for her doting, stern manner, but she genuinely does love them like her own. family didn't have to be blood.

2: favorite pair of socks; all my socks are the same (black cotton ankle socks) so they all get dumped into the drawer and i never have to fold or match them. specialty socks (boot, etc) go in the fancy box with the rest of the hosiery in my closet

did 26 u get 27 bc i want to tell this story about keychains; my actual car key is on one ring of a pull-apart valet fob and all my other keys are on the other end. this makes it hit the top of my leg in a less annoying place when driving bc im short and have to sit scrunched close. i have a couple library cards, a dog tag with my phone number and “REWARD 4 RETURN” on it and a WWII issue can opener. i had a very funny interaction with a gadget booth man at the rodeo this weekend, bc he was selling reproductions and i pulled out my original to show him and said “but I’ve never been able to open a can with it” and he PULLED OUT A DEMO CAN OF CORN and opened it with my keychain. the man also perusing the stand at the same time bought one, which i think is silly bc he showed off the strengths of my original. what if his reproduction was dogshit? also the man offered me the can of corn to take home but i declined

What kind of day is it?: Uh, started a bit rough ended more mid?

When was the last time you ate? : I am eating as we speak, but before this I had lunch around 11:30am

About how many hours of sleep did you get? : always atleast 8hrs. Having a regular sleep schedule really important for my management of my bipolar

Name one thing you could do to make your day better right now: Um....I could read some fanfics that make me happy. And work on my roleplays.

Why are you not doing that thing?: I actually might after I eat.

What are you going to do tonight to relax?: I took a nice hot shower and am relaxing tonight.

What comfort food do you not eat often enough?: Honestly, a hot cup of tea.

What’s stopping you? : The effort of putting the kettle on. Also i'm out of the particular tea I love most.

Summary - The Reader gets cold on a day out and finds an inventive way to share O’s clothes

O rarely ever took time off of work. He was offered breaks and holidays throughout the years of working for MI6, but he always refused them and continued his beloved work. Somehow, though, you managed to convince O to take a well-deserved break. There was an autumn festival close to your shared flat with O and you thought that it would be a quiet getaway that he would enjoy.

“It’s quite cold out today. You should probably wear a jacket, or a jumper, at least.” O worriedly said as the two of you prepared to leave for the festival.

“O, I’ll be fine. It’s not that cold.” You boasted as you walked to the door of the flat.

It was so cold. As soon as you walked outside your apartment you felt the bitter cold of the wind rake through your body. O gave you a questioning look before locking up the door, but you brushed him off and began leading him to the festival.

For O’s enjoyment, you were able to hide how cold you were decently well. You constantly had a cup of hot cocoa in your hands, you huddled around heaters, and you always stayed incredibly close to O. You suspected that he knew what you were hiding, though, but you weren’t going to admit anything to your sometimes prideful roommate. Your coldness didn’t matter, what mattered was that O had a fun and relaxing break from work.

You were successful in that, at least. O loved the autumn festival. He loved the free cocoa and cider. He loved the corn maze. He loved hay bale ride. He loved pumpkin picking and pumpkin carving. He especially loved the autumnal food and the almost Hallmark movie-like autumnal aesthetic visible everywhere. To your surprise, O even loved the carnival rides and festival games scattered around the fairgrounds. You were so happy that he was having fun and smiling.

By the end of the evening, though, you couldn’t handle the cold anymore. O wanted to see the fireworks and because this was supposed to be his break from work, you had to stay to make him happy.

You shuffled impossibly closer to O as the two of you watched the fireworks. O gave you a questioning and suspicious look, just like he had before the two of you left the flat, but you elected to ignore it. You finished your current cup of hot cacao and threw the paper cup into the recycling bin. You couldn’t help but look longingly at O, he looked so happy and relaxed. You wished that you could make him this happy all the time. You also wished that he wasn’t so stressed because of his job. At least, you could cheer him up on days like this.

A big gush of wind breezed through the festival and your body caused you to shiver and shake and get distracted from longing after O. But then, once you recovered from the breeze, an idea appeared in your brain. You manoeuvred closer to O and snuck your hands under his jumper. You hugged him and rested your head on O’s shoulder.

“What are you doing?” O asked, confused yet overall unbothered by this new development.

“My hands are cold.”

“But you’re hugging me.”

“The rest of me is cold, too.” O chuckled, which rumbled through you, He wrapped his arms around you, causing his coat to also wrap itself around you too and give you some more warmth. This definitely was the best way to watch the fireworks in the cold together.

“Told you so.” O commented superciliously.

“Okay, Mr Spy, no need to gloat. You must have a super secret, super sciency, alien gadget that fell from the sky that you and your people thought was a weapon but was actually just a weather machine.”

“No, nothing like that. I just watch the news and actually listen to the weather person when they are speaking.”

“Hmm, I don’t believe you. You must have some alien tech.” O chuckled again at your stubborn statement.

“Next time you should just listen to me when I tell you to wear something warmer.”

“Or you could just make me do as you say.” You felt O tense around you, so you looked up at him innocently. His pupils were blown out and his mouth gaped in shock. You were worried that you had ruined the day and everything between the two of you with that comment and you were about to apologise until O spoke.

“Do you want to head home a bit early? You know, to continue my break from work celebrations in a more … private … environment.” A sweet yet suggestive smirk etched itself upon O’s beautiful face.

“I would absolutely love that, O. Anything to help you relax.”

Not exactly the merchandising one would expect for Star Trek. But then again, there were some mighty strange toys and gadgets plastered with the Star Trek logo during the series original run.

What's even stranger is that these masks appeared on Kellogg's Corn Flakes™ in 1971, two years after the series was cancelled. The series was screening 7 days a week on television stations across the country, and much more popular than it had been during its time on NBC.
