more creatures! they’re all from Favon

the first one is just the ‘‘default snail’‘ but infected with a version of a real-life snail parasite. apparently the wormy parts arent even separate, but connected parts of the same thing? something like that? i like the idea of the different ‘‘heads’‘ having different personalities that would argue about how to control the snail but i could probably do something more interesting with them than this... the second one is a hammerhead worm hiding in a snail shell! it could be an ambush predator using its acid the third one is a mite. a ‘‘bite mite’‘, even! they’d be a kind of ‘‘default enemy’‘. a weak basic predator that could be expanded upon more if needed

idk what’s going on with the bugs lately but they’ve gone wild in a way i haven’t seen any other spring?

#and it’s just the nasty ones?? #the mozzies are biting in the daytime too when previously they’d just get you at dusk and night etc #and the trees are all covered in… idk aphids or psyllids or smthn #even indoors plants are suffering from it actually - my parsley is COVERED in green bugs. mum said maybe mites but idk could be the others #and mum was saying her mate is having a similar bug problem?? #there’s been an influx of magpies lately too presumably bc they like these bugs? #idk but we gotta get the ladybug population UP #need to attract some of the sexy helpful bugs #my post tag

Fucking heart attack and a half. I'm out doing yard work and I look down and there's dozens of neon red bugs crawling on my legs. They looked like ticks and my immediate thought was "oh fuck what kind of new demon is this?" So I googled it, they're either clover mites or chiggers. Fairly certain it's clover mites which is good because they aren't harmful towards humans or pets just irritating also they live in vegetation and I'm literally in a jungle chopping trees. Chiggers are less nice and bite and transmit diseases so uh. Guess we'll find out.

#probably shouldn't be doing this in shorts and no shoes but my health is second to comfort #clover mites also only eat greens which is neat #they also leave a smudge when you kill them which is accurate to my current predicament #don't mind me
