Saw Bob Vylan live last thursday. Near the end of the show, they sent cis men to the back of the venue, explicitly inviting ladies, enbies, and trans folks to the front to have a mosh pit free of cis men.
And this song was next. Incredible, 10/10

If you were to know Chris irl, do you think you would get on well? Like do you have similar interests?
Lol I used to think we would, but at this point I'm not so sure anymore lmao
I'm very into politics, especially the US, so I thought we'd get along there because it seemed like we had similar views on things. I love dogs, space (the moon especially) and philosophy and history.
I also know a shit ton about Disney since I worked there for so long (I won a few trivia competitions within the company, even) and board games (I would kick his ass in Disney Trivial Pursuit, trust me). I'm also an avid beer-drinker (thats bc of my culture sksjsks) even though I tend to prefer wine at this stage in my life. But I'm a good drinker, I can handle my liquor hahaha. I guess my law degree might also help? idk, I would have assumed in the past....
I guess on a surface level basis, the things he put out there about himself, I'd say yes, we would have gotten along imo.
Now I'm not so sure anymore, mainly bc it's hard to know which parts of him are actually real.
But I'm an extroverted introvert and very used to boring small talk due to my past in customer service, so if I ever did meet him, I'd just mention something about the Patriots and let him ramble on until I could leave the conversation naturally. lol
Or we'd get started on feminism and depending on how he behaved and spoke would define whether I'd want to continue the convo or not lmaoooo
I would beat him in a dance off, though! I'm not the former national champ in Hiphop for nothing 💅
I do think I'd have a lot in common with Scott though! Or at least our common interests in criminology/crime docs. I've seen basically every crime doc out there, and I'm very interested in all things serial killers lol (I have a favorite serial killer and I know that sounds fucked up but people who are into murder/serial killer docs will get what I mean hahaha)

Born and raised in small-town Michigan, Paytra had a burning desire for something more. So, at just 16 years old, she bought a one-way ticket to New York City to chase her music dreams. Young and naive, she wasn’t prepared for the turbulent and often vicious tactics of the music industry in the most competitive city in the world. She found herself in the midst of it all, and quickly learned that being a young female with a lot to say wasn't going to be a walk in the park.
In 2023, Paytra is turning up the volume even more, releasing her five-song EP Momma Taught Me How To Fight and her full-length album Tiny But Mighty, both masterpieces of self-expression and genre-bending pop. This fearless and self-assured pop star is bringing change to pop music. Paytra isn’t afraid to speak her truth and go against the mold. For this reason, she’s not only become known as a business mogul, but a fierce symbol of feminism, strength, and power.

-Thick and other essays by Tressie McMillian Cottom
This book is personal and touches based on the author herself (Tressie) with sexual assault, the loss of her baby, body image and more!
-Bad fat black girl by Sesali Bowen
This is another book that is read through the lens of the author. In this book, Sesali talks about growing up in Chicago and learning how to sex work, poverty, self-love, and queerness. She also expresses the combination of the Hiphop culture and feminism.

Reframe of Topic
Ive been struggling with my topic of clothing and the effects it has on feminism. Ive been reading more about this topic but have decided I don't want to continue with this idea for my topic.
I looked back at my initial interests. I love clothing and fashion but my main interest is music. After having another read over the brief Ive decided to change my topic to “how 2000′s hiphop music had effected design”
Title: Music to Design
Subheading: An essay on how the wave of 2000′s hiphop artists and their music have influenced the next generation of designers.

"Respect" is a song written and originally recorded by American soul singer Otis Redding. It was released in 1965 as a single, In 1967, fellow soul singer Aretha Franklin covered and rearranged "Respect", resulting in a bigger hit and her signature song. The music in the two versions is significantly different, while a few changes in the lyrics resulted in different narratives around the theme of human dignity that have been interpreted as commentaries on traditional gender roles. Franklin's interpretation became a feminist anthem for the second-wave feminism movement in the 1970s. It has often been considered one of the best R&B songs of its era. In 2002, the Library of Congress honored Franklin's version by adding it to the National Recording Registry. It was also included in the list of "Songs of the Century", by the Recording Industry of America and the National Endowment for the Arts. È stata anche inclusa nell'elenco delle "Songs of the Century", dalla Recording Industry of America e dal National Endowment for the Arts. Che dire, meravigliosamente eterna.💎 . . ❤️ . . #musicasoul #soulmusic #musica #soul #musica #cancion #music #sica #love #rock #rap #singer #arte #instagram #hiphop #instagood #guitar #dj #live #instamusic #song #musically #art #like #pop #musicvideo #marcocardelli (presso Ascoli, Marche, Italy) https://www.instagram.com/p/CfJ5yPbKo0i/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
