Interests & Hobbies - Update post

Hey everyone!

First things first, sorry for the wall of text!

I know quite a few of you have been wondering about this project, if not been REALLY patiently been waiting for it! That's why I figured I'd make this post.

A bit of backstory:

I have, in all honestly, been working on it for 2 years. Except, that because the mod has SO MANY features, I kept making tiny mods that then get shelved because I wanted to get back to the interests & hobbies mod. But obviously that's part of the mod and... argh! :p You can see how I got stuck in this creative loop. And I would then be happy to just quickly make something like a bus manager, or a RPG manager or a thirsty sims mod or randomly deciding to create a sims website (as you casually do clearly lol). Because that was a bit of an escape for me. Though, this morning, I was talking to someone about this and the mod's progression. How I was just completely thrown out of the creative process and that I just didn't know what I wanted to do...

Basically, out of that conversation the following question came, which was:

So, what have you finished already, then? Given that you've been working on it for so long?

So far, I've done:

Assignment of a hobby lot. Sims of that interest will also visit that lot.

Sims will pursue their hobbies inside their house/garden/lot. (i.e a sim with a gardening skill, will garden their garden.)

Your sims can have an interest and a hobby (duh).

The environment hobby currently has a working hobby challenges.

Getting interested in a field can be done through the phone or computer. (or starting on certain items of that hobby).

Your sim can get magazines of that interest/hobby. This will increase their interest each time they read it.

Learn which interest that sims knows of the other sims. Just like with traits. ;)

A way to make it so that custom content items are considered hobby items as you place them down. And therefore give your sims interest points too.

Certain conversation topics can now be considered interest related conversations.

Which... I know doesn't sound like much, but the *amount* of technical background stuff is absolutely insane :p And that took me more time debugging and error fixing than I've ever done with any of my mods!

So with that said. I want, not only apologise for taking so bloody long to get this mod out of the door, but also share what's going to happen next.

So what now?

As you can probably tell, the basics are (almost) done, as well as the basic mechanics. So, what I think I want to do is the following:

Release the mod this year, with the current features I just shared that are done, and all the other features that were in the document, I'll work on separately. I guess, they function as DLCs for the mod? Or expansions, I guess? :p

That way, I feel less stressed, and you get to give it a try! :) In the end I keep forgetting I'm only one person, and I can finally sleep at night lol

Starting off with a classic.

Setting: Suburban United States

You can call him whatever you want, Frankie, Frank, Franklin. Preferably yours? lolol All of your friends have to call him Frank or Franklin though. If anyone calls him Frankie he corrects them quickly, saying that it’s reserved for you and his family (but you’re already family since he plans on marrying you anyway).

He grew up normally, having been raised well by a loving family. He has two older sisters who also treat you like a little sibling. He doesn’t mind sharing you with his family cause they taught him early on that sharing is caring (lol not in his mind), so he’s become tolerant of it. 

In that same vein he also gets along with your other friends that you two made as you grew up, but he doesn’t hold them to the same esteem as you. Everyone can tell he likes you the most, but they chalk it all up to y’all being childhood friends and that he’s just the most comfortable with you. Which it IS but also not. 

Never really hangs out with them unless you’re there, though he doesn’t leave if they find him so that’s why they never really noticed it before. Like they’ll find him at the library working on his stuff and hang with him, so in their head it’s like “yeah me and Frank have hung out by ourselves before we get along fine”. 

Uses his childhood friend privileges to enter your house uninvited. It’s fine, he was given a key. So he’s not the kind of yandere to break into your home, but he’d definitely think about it if the conditions were right (you move out of your childhood home but don’t give him a spare key so he lockpicks and gaslights you into thinking you left it unlocked cause you’re used to him just being where you live so you’re not as alarmed as you should be if he were a stranger.) And his gaslighting isn’t malicious either. It’s the kind that your friends would do if they were obviously fucking with you. “Lol what the hell are you talking about? Why the hell would I do that when I could just call you to let me in?” But it’s this friend privilege that gets abused if you look at the bigger picture. But you aren’t, don’t worry about it. 

You grow up so close that sometimes you’re too lazy to kick him out of your room if you want to change so you tell him to turn around and close his eyes. You trust him. And you should, to listen to you that is. He does exactly that and only turns around when you let him, but he engraves the sounds of your clothes shuffling around into his memory each time to fuel his nightly passions. 

Thinks you’re the funniest person and laughs at most of your jokes. You know your joke sucked if even he doesn’t laugh. Even worse if he gives you this fake ass smile and you get rowdy cause “don’t you dare give me your pity”. 

Sometimes cries when you make an effort to participate in some of his hobbies even when he knows you don’t care for them. It just means so much. He likes embroidery, knitting, crocheting, and other fiber based crafts. When you made him a crochet flower he burst into tears and patched it into his next project. Cherishes it forever. 

Honestly the only reason why he’s never asked you out is because he kind of already sees you two as a set pair already. Like there’s not really a need to ask questions he already knows(?) the answers to y’know? 

Most people are deterred when they see the way he clings to you anyway, already assuming you’re taken. And honestly your life and sail fairly smoothly like this.

But when someone who doesn’t know him, say you meet someone while he’s busy and they haven’t seen the way he glues himself to you, shows interest or, god forbid, asks you out, then he is shocked. Gobsmacked. Flabbergasted. At first he doesn’t know what to do cause this has literally never happened before. 

Then he sticks by your side more than ever. He’s clingy. He’s never leaving you open to flirtatious advances ever again. You don’t even need to think about responding to their confession. Was there something you liked about them? He does his best to change to become more your type. 

In more extreme cases he would go as far as dyeing his hair, getting piercings (to a certain extent. He’s still somewhat his own person), and even getting tattoos. Which in his tastes, isn’t really part of his aesthetics. But he’d do it. 

If you suggest getting matching tattoos/matching ear piercings, then he kind of just assumes that it’s y'all getting pseudo-married. Behaves as such. 

Part of the reason why he’s still somewhat normal is because he is the youngest with two older sisters, and that does things to a motherfucker so he knows how to behave. And he knows how to fall back in line. 

Borrows your clothes all the time with zero remorse. Bigger or smaller than him it doesn’t matter he will take what he can. Don’t ask about the underwear he knows nothing about it (it’s under this secret flap in his dresser drawers. Third one down on the right.) 

Loves loves loves your casual affection with him. You always protected him when you were kids so he loves viewing you as his own personal hero, his savior. Grows his hair out a bit when you say it’s nice to thread your fingers through. Doesn’t grow it long cause he doesn’t like it, but would if you pampered him enough. 

He just loves letting you take control of him and taking your orders. He thrives on being subservient to you. He grew up used to getting bossed around, so it’s a comfort zone for him. Even better because it’s the object of all his affections. 

He prefers gentle domming cause the nature of this dynamic is cozy obsession.

Ninjago post crystalized HC

-Therapy (I was considering only writing that and posting lol)

-Everyone starts finally settling down and a couple of the ninja are even looking into college courses since a lot of their technical skills revolve around fighting and they're kinda sick of that.

-I like to think Jay and Nya open up a mechanic shop together with some silly name like Electric Wave or something along those lines.

-Pixal starts working with Cyrus Borg again

-I think Zane should be an EMT or something like that, since he can asses wounds and work really quickly and has endless knowledge in his database so I think it fits

-Cole probably takes a bit to figure out what he wants to do but I could honestly see him going into psychology since he's pretty empathetic and a chill dude (bestie literally made friends with a snow monster and some dude who'd been a ghost for centuries I think he's got the skill)

-Kai was kinda hard ngl but I think that since he's seemingly ending up with Skylor maybe he helps out at the noodle house? Honestly I'm not sure Kai is tricky for me.

-Lloyd goes into law to some degree, HERE ME OUT, he totally seems like the type who still wants to defend innocents and those who have been wronged and what better way to do that (that doesn't involve ninja powers) I could totally see him fighting so hard for like kids and stuff since his childhood was pretty jacked up too.

-Wu and Misako probably start adventuring again, though more for fun and not looking for answers to anything, it's just to learn more about the world.

-I think it would be funny if Garmadon got a painfully mundane job in an office, like a data entry person or some shit like that would be so funny (like imagine "Oh you need that done? Yeah go ask Folson" and then you find out "Folson" is fucking GARAMDON who's just like chilling at his desk with coffee like "What do you want?")

-Lloyd reconnects with some of his old friends and while they're still a little bedazzled by him but still

-The ninja probably do a couple interviews after Crystalized kinda finally sharing how they really feel and people are shocked how scared their hero's have been this entire time.

-The ninja totally compare scars, like "Dude I got my face scar from literally being turned into a ghost, it's cooler than yours" or "Are lightning scars cool if I accidentally did it myself?"

-Lloyd starts reconnecting with his father again and slowly but surly the man Garmadon once was begin to shine through bit by bit, not fully but clearly he's there.

-Cole helps with reconstruction once his powers start coming back

-They all meet up when they can to do something fun together

-In addition to the last prompt: Sometimes they need to get some energy out and they're like "I need to fight" and they get together to absolutely pummel each other to get the fight out until the next time (Zane has totally recorded a couple of these fights, a particularly flasy one between Kai and Cole is in fact on the internet and people go nuts over it)

-They all pick up hobbies to relax a little: Kai-wood burning Lloyd-felting Zane-baking (he still does it to wind down) Cole-crocheting Nya-knitting (her and Cole fight over which is better by) Jay-skating Pixal-drawing

-Garmadon get's more plants, him and Vinny's new place has the nicest front and back garden and the oxygen in their house is CRISP

-Cyrus Borg kinda adopts Zane like "I already have one nindroid child, what's one more?" they totally have family dinners and I'd like to imagine Pixal's partner (idk who but it's not Zane cause like sibling dynamic> anything) and Cole just kinda siting there with three super geniuses and the two are just like "I forget what I have for lunch sometimes"

-Everyone starts to heal and the world is better... at least until this new show (whether I think of it as cannon is dependent on how much I like it lol)

🕷️honestly, i know claude's a demon and everything, but i can't see him hating angels really. like how demons and grim reapers are supposed to hate each other, claude seemed kinda indifferent when grell pulled up after alois (:c) died. he's just indifferent

🕷️however, once you two actually started seeing each other more often, he would come to like your company

🕷️once he realized he felt some twinge of "love" around you though, he would start to ignore you and/or be kinda mean to you

🕷️regardless of how he feels about angels, he does NOT think they can be companions with demons; that eradicates the entire point of angels and demons, they are opposites!

🕷️claude's unfortunately a bit too prideful to admit a mistake, so he won't outright apologize

🕷️he WILL, however, tell you that he did enjoy your time spent together, and that he may slightly regret tossing you out

Ateez Members and Whether or Not I could be in Successful Relationships with Them.

Absolutely. Well. I originally had it as a 10/10 and then remembered that I'm an absolute mess and he would hate me so I changed it to a 9/10, but then again, he also shared a room with Hongjoong and I at least clean up after myself semi-regularly, so it's back to a 10/10.

We have all the same hobbies. Animal Crossing, Building Legos (He's more into this than I am, but I have been known to build 300+ pieces in my day), Cooking (I'm terrible at it, but I'm sure I could listen to him tell me what to do), etc. I'm more of a homebody, so I'd gladly enjoy just staying in and watching whatever drama I want or whatever movie he wants, and if he wants to go out, he'd be the push I'd need to go out!

He could pick my outfits, or if he wanted to wear something more feminine than usual, perhaps I'd decidedly wear something more masculine.

Seonghwa is like a mom, but he's also like a little kid, which I am also known to be! I think we could balance each other out well with the "you annoy me and I pretend to be annoyed" vibe, but you never know who will be who in the dynamic.

I could very easily see us falling into a similar dynamic to him and Hongjoong where Seonghwa is like "Look we're wearing a couple outfit" and I hate it (but I don't really, I love it).

Overall, I really think Seonghwa would bring out the best in me. Hongjoong 6/10

I honestly think I'm not hot enough for Hongjoong. I think I could treat him in a way that he might want to keep me around, but ultimately, I think it's a very high level difficulty to get to know him in the first place and an equally high if not higher standard of maintenance that he will most likely not meet me at because he's so focused on his career and his art. I think I'd need a lot of patience to get to know him and I'm honestly not the type to wait around for someone to finally look at me (well, that's actually debatable), so I'm not sure we'd ever realistically be able to get to the relationship point.

But let's say that I did make my way to him, and he wanted to get into a relationship with me. I think I'd be good at providing a place of comfort and rest, because Lord knows he loves sleeping and can fall asleep anywhere, and so can I. I think the majority of our time would be spent sleeping in the same bed. Not even cuddling, unless he initiated it, since I know he's not a physical touch kind of guy, though who knows how that might change if we were to get into a relationship. I think generally, though, he's just not a very affectionate guy, and that's fine with me as long as he establishes that I am the one he likes every once in a while.

I'm definitely not talented in the way Hongjoong is, but I do have a huge interest in music and general production, so if he ever were to let me sit with him while he works, I'd definitely show a lot of interest if he'd like that. If he would prefer to not be disturbed at all while he works, I'm good at keeping myself busy, so he'd never have to worry about that either.

I'm good at taking care of other people, and I'm a pretty low maintenance person, I think (this could be debated, but all I really need is to be reminded that you love me every once in a while). The only problem is that I dishes and I don't know how to clean a bathroom, and I doubt Hongjoong does either, so that'll probably be the end of us. If not for that, I think me and Hongjoong could be relatively successful, but unlikely. (I wrote a lot for someone I don't think I'd get along with).

I'm like Mingi. Straight up, I am like Mingi, and I would get so insecure to see my partner treat everyone the same way and wonder if I'm not actually as special to him as I thought. Even if he does regard me highly, I think the little difference in the way he treats me in comparison with other people might just make me feel way too angsty more often than not.

But I think if I got over that, we'd have a pretty fun relationship. He'd be the extrovert I need to get out of my comfort zone. I'd gladly let him drag me out to meet his friends (although tbh I don't think he has MANY, I think he's the type of extrovert to be friendly with everyone, not necessarily to HAVE a lot a friends), or I'd be equally as glad to just hang out in his room while he plays games, because, like I said, I'm really good at keeping myself busy. I think I'd just like to be with him, since I don't like being alone, and I think being with him would never let me feel like that.

I think with a man like Yunho, he wouldn't know how to subside my general insecurity of him being a friendly guy unless he went out of his way to keep me by his side in public, which I really don't think he'd do, not because he wouldn't want to, but I just don't think he'd think to do it and I wouldn't ask him to because I don't want to be clingy (even though I am very clingy).

I really do think Yunho would be a great boyfriend, and I could be a good girlfriend to him, but I wouldn't want to dim his light with my insecurities and clinginess. He deserves to be an energetic golden retriever running in a field without me holding a leash. Yeosang 7/10

I think we would get along great. I take my view of him based on his relationship with Wooyoung, and I think he'd be the type to want to be prioritized, but he would never say so. I think I'm also like that, but once I love someone, I latch onto them, and I think he would like that. I think in that sense, I would be like San is, to him, because I like to chase just as much as I like being chased, so long as the other person doesn't mind. In this case, I'd be the one chasing, even after getting together.

I think he'd let me do whatever I want, especially with physical affection, even if he hates it (or pretends to?). We're both pretty airheaded, even though we're smart, so I think we'd be pretty cute together in the sense that it would be funny to see each other in each other, if you know I mean? I don't think it would take a lot to be a good girlfriend to Yeosang as long as I make it clear to him that I like him. I think we'd be an overall pretty low maintenance relationship.

I think the only problem in getting with him would be him not knowing what to do when I'm sad. I think, like me, if he were to see me sad, he'd probably just wait it out and let me deal with it, and while that's not the wrong strategy, I think that wouldn't differentiate him from casual people in my life when I really probably just need someone close to me to just be with me and comfort me through it (without words). I think he could easily be that person, but that side of myself is something that embarrasses me and I don't think I'd ever ask for his help the same way I don't think he'd ask to help me in fear of making me feel uncomfortable. San 9/10

I think about this man daily. Like I said in Yeosang's think where I was like "I like to chase just as much as I like being chased", well in this case, in a relationship with San, I think he'd be the one chasing, and it would just be so good for my ego. I would BASK in his affection, though, even if I pretend to be a little cold (similarly to how I'd be with Seonghwa). I think he's goofy enough to make me join his goofiness at home. I made a post before about him belting in the shower, and I really would join him. I think him singing in the house would inspire me to also want to sing in the house, since I usually don't in fear of bothering other people. I think San would make me feel comfortable at home just by BEING comfortable, and that's something I'd die for.

I think I'd tease him by pretending to be cold much more than I would do with Seonghwa, because it would be so fun to see him beg for my affection and I would ultimately give in every time, of course. I'm so touch-starved, he would literally cure my starvation and make me fat, in that sense.

I also think he would be so patient with me, because it really takes a bit to get to know me, and I think he would give me that time.

The only ONLY thing, that took the 1 off the 10 was a comment that Hongjoong made in a live once where he was like "the one who is most different on camera in Ateez is San, and he's not bad but I just think that how can someone actually be like that" or something and that scares the hell out of me. I don't know if he was just trying to tease San, who was watching, and I'm not scared in the sense that I think San might be a bad person, but I do fear the things I do not know. Mingi 8/10 We are the same person. I will always stand by that, I genuinely think we are the same person, and because of that, I think I'd be able to know what makes him happy by just treating him the way I would want him to treat me. I think I would make him so happy. I'd give him so many words of affirmation, I'd always make him feel special, I'd always give him space but I'd make sure he's always comfortable enough to come to me when he wants affection or comfort in any capacity. These are all things that I want, that I genuinely think he would also crave.

Gosh, I can just imagine him getting in my car (when I eventually learn how to drive) and the first thing I say to him is "Oh my fucking God, you're so handsome, what the fuck" and it's just so aggressive and he'd get so happy and smiley. His awkward cuteness would turn me feral I swear. Everytime he does something awkward I would without fail hype him up as if it was the funniest thing he has ever said (because I know what it's like to see your joke fall flat and it genuinely takes so much courage to recover from that so I want to support him). I think I honest to God would be the best girlfriend for Mingi (save for the fact that I'm waiting until marriage).

With that, I get to my next point, though. I'm not saying Mingi is selfish, but I do think he is a little self-absorbed, and I don't think he'd realize how similar we are and therefore wouldn't be able to tell what my needs are or fill them the same way I would be able to do for him. I think he could learn after a very long time, but I think he'd definitely hurt my feelings a few times before getting the hang of being my boyfriend. I think he'd unknowingly not prioritize me thinking that he was doing enough without having done much at all. Wooyoung 8/10

I think we're so different. He is much more social than I am, even if he's not necessarily an extrovert anymore. He makes friends SO easily and he likes getting out of the house, and I can only hope that he has enough patience to push me to do those things with him and be outgoing. I think he'd want to introduce me to his friends, but wouldn't know how to in a way that would make me comfortable enough the same way Yunho might (or maybe I'd just be too intimidated to meet Yeonjun or Changbin specifically).

I think the core of our relationship would be at home. I'd be happy for him to drag me out, but our most tender moments would be at home when we cook together or when I make him something to eat or drink and he tells me specifically how I could make it better so that every time I make it for him it gets better.

I'm also someone who really likes my space, and if Wooyoung is my boyfriend, he will also really like my space. And this is not generally something that's healthy, but I like it when people that I like force themselves into my space to be close to me (obviously when I say no, it's no, but if I don't say yes, it still means yes, but that's just me). I imagine that one time Wooyoung and Seonghwa were on the couch during Ateez Fever Road and Wooyoung is just shoving him with his body "because I like you!" he says. Yeah, I imagine that happening very very often. I think the way Wooyoung shows affection, by being "mean" and also pushing boundaries of affection, is my ideal type. Jongho 10/10

I think Jongho would take care of me really well. I think we're similar in the sense that we have similar singing talent. Jongho often talks about how his singing talent isn't something he was born with but rather something he worked so hard to perfect and continues to do so. I don't have the same confidence, even though I have been able to sing since I was a child, I get insecure when I hear people who are ten times better than me and think that no matter what I do I will never sound better than them. I think Jongho, through his experience, would be able to encourage me to do better, even help me. I think that would be the case for this and for a lot of things in my life. I think I would me motivated to be better just by having him around, and it would be a constant thing for us to sing together.

I think Jongho is another one those types that I'd be chasing, and I'd love every moment of it. I think, even if we're in a relationship, he'd pretend to be very cool casual during really romantic dates as if it's no big deal in the sense that he wants some normalcy and he just wants to look like a cool guy, but I would break that down every time. I think I'd fluster him and make him laugh a lot, just to see the tough guy exterior go down. I'd see more gums than teeth on a regular basis. I think I would love Jongho just because I'd feel good by making him laugh, because I think something I regularly get insecure about is having nothing to offer, and if Jongho really is as encouraging as I'd like to think, I think being able to make him laugh would make me feel as of some use to him.

Also I see SMAUs always make him super mean to his girlfriend, and like I totally see that because honestly that's my ideal type. (People I really like are people who bully me, I'm sorry I'm toxic). But I also do think that he would say things like "I miss you" "Let's go to dinner after I'm done" "Can you come over" pretty regularly, like he wouldn't be afraid to tell me when he misses me. Trey

He likes baking, but surprisingly his character bio says he likes to "brush his teeth" as a hobby? Let's just say that s/o was interested in baking haha

He would be glad to teach you! He will tell you that oyster sauce is the secret ingredient when teaching you how to make a tart base. Of course, you have to catch this as him lightly teasing you, he'll wink at you and say "Ah you caught me, good eye, chef."

The two of you end up making a tart together, sharing it once it's finished. It becomes sort of a tradition to make something new every once in a while together after that.

I feel like though he's a really careful guy, he might have too much fun talking with you or teasing you that he forgets about the baked goods in the oven and it almost causes the school to burn down haha.

Riddle

Riddle likes to tend to hedgehogs! Who wouldn't want to do that honestly haha. Anyways, s/o heard of Heartslabyul having hedgehogs, and, because they weren't in the same house, decided to come by when Riddle was tending to them

If they show interest in learning how to tend to them, Riddle would be more than happy to teach them the proper things to do. He might be a bit strict, but you can see how much he cares for the little animals with how careful he is with them.

He thinks you look super cute trying your best to get them comfortable in your hands and eventually near your lap. You'll catch him smiling softly at you.

He might invite you over more whenever he's tending to them. It's a way for him to de-stress with you and catch up with you on anything. You get to see a soft side of the strict dorm leader so cherish the moments!

Rook

Rook likes to watch plays, and if you happen to be a theater person too, he would offer you to come with him to a play instead of the other way around. He has two tickets before you even say yes btw.

You guys probably go in-depth about the director's choices on each actor/actresses' positions onstage and some of the stage-lighting directions too. The two of you stay up all night talking about these kinds of things too.

I can imagine the two of you reciting lines when passing by each other in the hallways too haha. It's sort of like inside jokes for the two of you.

He'll try to go to a theater performance with you whenever he can. The two of you might be in the regular seating area or in a private box, who knows! Either way, you guys have a great time, sitting next to each other and watching the story unfold onstage.

Idia

Unsurprisingly, Idia's hobby is pc gaming, and if you happen to show even the slightest interest in joining him, he'll be over the moon about it. Watch him gush about which games you guys can play together haha.

You both play online together a lot. I'm sure if you stream or have any online friends/fans, people speculate if the two of players "Gloomurai" and "(insert username here)" are dating haha.

You guys are probably a power couple when in the same team, no matter what kind of a game it is (be it a first-person shooter type or a mmorpg). But sometimes, you guys like to watch each other play individually.

I'm sure Idia loves gaming with you so much and being able to geek out a bit. But because of this, the two of you barely get any sleep. Crewel might point this out if you guys show up to class with heavy dark circles for a month haha.

Malleus

Malleus likes exploring ruins, which is an interesting hobby and one where the two of you guys can spend a lot of time together. He's super happy when you tell him you want to accompany him on a trip one day.

He'll lead the way on most occasions, mainly because he chooses which area to explore but also because he wants to protect you if anything jumps out and potentially harms you.

Expect a lot of calm vibes while you guys are together. I can see the two of you sitting on top of a high broken pillar, watching the sunset. You're resting your head on his shoulder and he has an arm around you. It's really wholesome!

Overall, he's super happy he doesn't have to be alone when doing his hobby anymore! He'll offer you to accompany him every single time from then on.

Love love love your writing! Do you have any hcs on activities that Data enjoys doing in the holodeck? (besides what we see on TNG)

I'm so glad you enjoy my writing, and thank you so much for dropping this into my inbox!

To be honest, I didn't really think about this before, mostly because the show gave us a decent amount of insight into the kinds of activities Data does in the holodeck. However, now that you mention it, I think there are actually a lot of things we could have (or if I may be so bold to declare, should have) seen Data do in the holodeck. I feel like the show touched on the sort of "obvious" activities he'd do, but not exactly his more hobby-esque/personal activities.

Anyway, long story short, I do have some headcanons about this for you! I hope you enjoy, and please feel free to add on, if you have any more ideas or if you feel I left something out 😊

I think Data would have 3 types of holodeck programs: ones for him to practice his skills and hobbies, ones that he does with his friends, and ones that are a bit more personal and private.

The most obvious hobby-esque programs would be those for practicing plays he would later perform for the other crew members. However, I think he would also have programs for his poetry. I think his cadence and tone when he verbally shared his poetry indicates that he practiced verbal reading before. I believe he developed a program with some poets that he wanted to emulate, and he practiced writing and reading poetry aloud with them.

The same goes for his instrument playing. Although he had all the information about every single instrument, musician, and how to play them in his data banks, I think he still would have needed to actually see someone play an instrument to fully understand how to play it himself. So, I think he definitely would have needed to make a few programs of the best musicians for each instrument he wanted to play.

I think he'd also do this with painting, and his favorite painters.

Honestly, I'm surprised TNG never had Data paint a "live" scene in the holodeck because he definitely would do that!

I think he loves nature, so he'd probably have several nature programs to paint. Things like an ocean/beach, a forest, a desert, etc.

I also thought it was kind of odd that Data did all his hobbies in his quarters. Even though he can't exactly get distracted, I feel like everyone always needs him/lowkey interrupts him, even (read: especially) when he's off duty. I think at some point, he'd realize that sometimes, he'd want to do his recreational activities uninterrupted, and that's when he'd create holodeck programs that he can have a little bit more peace and freedom in.

For the holodeck programs for his friends, I think he'd also have at least one program per each of his friends, that he individually does together with them.

For Geordi, we saw that they solved Holmes mysteries together. I couldn't really think of any other activities they might do together, so I'm going to say that this is their main one.

They might change it up a bit and solve other mysteries together, but that's all I can really see them doing together in the holodeck.

Because Data is well-revered in the Klingon empire for his strength, and I'm sure Worf also admires this about him, I think Data would have some type of fighting program that he does with Worf.

I don't think he'd participate in the fighting program Worf did with K'ehleyr (I feel like it's a bit too violent for Data's taste), but I think he does like the teamwork aspect of it, so he'd probably construct a program that involved them fighting enemies together.

Every once in a while, usually when Worf is in a really bad mood, he'll want to do some hand-to-hand combat with Data to blow off steam, so Data might try to incorporate that into the program, as well (i.e. maybe the last level is they have to fight each other, as only one can win the game).

Also, I just want to say that it's a CRIME we didn't have more Worf and Data friend interactions. I'm not sure why they made Worf sort of apprehensive and not very friendly with Data because I personally think they are great friends and get along well!

For Riker, I think Data would have a program of a little jazz bar where they'd play together.

Riker, of course, would play his beloved trombone, and I think Data would love playing the clarinet or the harmonica.

They'd be their own little duo, and call themselves The Lady Killers (per Riker's suggestion).

They'd invite the other crew members every once in a while to the program to come watch them play.

Data would also have that classic hat and a pair of those classic sunglasses lots of jazz musicians wear that he'd have on when he played.

For Picard's designated program, I think it would be the same as the theatrical programs Data did with him in the show, except instead of doing them for Picard and asking his opinions on his performances, they'd perform together and provide critiques/advice for each other.

Most of them are Shakespeare plays, of course, and the programs would be an equal mix of both Picard's and Data's favorite ones.

Personally, I think Data's favorite Shakespeare plays would be The Merchant of Venice, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Comedy of Errors, and The Tempest (I will spare you all from my in-depth analysis of why I think he'd enjoy these in particular because this post is already too long 😅)

For Beverly, I think Data would have a dancing program. Although she doesn't want to be known as "The Dancing Doctor" again, I think she still loves and sometimes even misses dancing. So, I think Data would try to remedy this dilemma by making a program for them, in which she can teach him new dances, and they can both learn new dances together.

She's very touched by this, and is always happy to dance with him and/or teach him a new dance!

I think Data's favorite dances would be ballet (it's a great way for him to practice his strength and balance) and the tango (he loves the fast pace and I feel like the moves are bit stiffer than other dances, which would work in his favor).

I think this could also technically be considered as one of Data's private and personal programs, since Beverly likely would prefer if he didn't tell others about it.

For Deanna, I feel like she's always wanted to have her very own proper tea party. So, I think he'd make a program for her so they could have a little tea party together!

The first time they tried out the program, Data had misunderstood that she wanted a child's tea party, so everything in the program was very small.

Additionally, she showed up dressed in regal clothes (including a fancy feathered hat), while he showed up in big goofy sunglasses and a pink, sparkly feather boa.

After she laughed for a good 10 minutes, leaving the poor baby so confused, she explained that she had wanted an English-esque, adult tea party. He adjusted the program and his wardrobe accordingly (but she insisted he keep the boa and sunglasses).

Riker also sometimes joins them in this program (he's also a big fan of the boa and sunglasses).

I have to point out that it was also a crime that Data and Deanna's friendship wasn't developed more in the show. I think they both have equal amounts of intrigue and curiosity for one another. Data would want to learn so much about human emotions and behavior from her, and she wants to learn more about his emotions and how she can help him realize they're real and valid. As a result, I think they'd be very good friends.

For Spot, Data would have a "feline enrichment" program, consisting of a large pond with lots of koi fish, trees with lots of birds, and tall grass/shrubbery with insects for her to play with and chase.

He'd take her to this program at least once a week, to help her get her excess energy (and anger) out.

She absolutely LOVES it, and he accidentally Pavlov-ed her because whenever he brings out her leash and harness, she knows exactly where they're going. This leads to her meowing very loudly and excitedly, and aggressively rubbing against his legs.

Lastly, for his more personal and private programs, I think they'd be programs that are for his eyes/participation only, and he wouldn't share them with anyone else.

Despite his stoicism, I think Lal's death really had an effect on him, and he'd make a hologram of her in the holodeck to help cope with the loss.

Whenever he especially "misses" her, like when he rescued another child/orphan or spent his day around children, he'd go to the holodeck to see her afterwards.

I think this program would just be a replicate of his quarters, and he'd mostly just sit and talk with her.

Sometimes he'll do activities with her, like teaching her to play an instrument or make art.

This program he would especially keep to himself, and wouldn't talk about or show it to anyone.

The only person I can think of him maybe showing it to would be his significant other, if it ever got to the point in their relationship where he'd want them to meet Lal.

Otherwise though, it's his little secret.

I think he'd also have a private program with a hologram of Noonien in it.

I think he partially blames himself for his father's death, and he barely got to know him or ask him everything he wanted to ask, so I think that would be the main purpose of this program.

He just wants some closure and a better understanding of himself, as well as his father, and I think this is the way he'd seek both of those things.

He wouldn't show this program to anyone either, except maybe his significant other, if their relationship progressed that far.

Oh boy DO I!!!!! I’m gonna organize them in lil bullet point forms cause I have so many thoughts abt them!

Jena:

- Honestly I think it might be a bit weird to say but I think she was the westerosi equivalent of a goth skater girl. Like, there’s probably some old painting of her in Blackhaven as a teenager where she has dyed black streaks in her hair and way too much eyeshadow with a medieval skateboard (horse). I need this to be true in my life

- Her betrothal to Baelor I imagine was to ease up relations with the marcher lords since they probably weren’t too happy about the Dornish having a strong influence on the throne. I wouldn’t be surprised if Myriah suggested the match, and they happened to pick Jena because she was the closest to Baelor’s age

- That being said though, their match went pretty well! I mean for a while it was pretty obvious that Jena and Baelor were basically a pr relationship but over time they did come to care for each other! They didn’t really have the slow burn romance that Daeron and Myriah had but they still had some kind of affection

- She did have her kids pretty young, but not really early in the marriage because I have to believe her weird late teens goth angst was why she named her kids Valarr and Matarys of all things or it might kill me

- If I could give her a friendship with any of her sisters in laws it would probably be Aelinor? But they weren’t like friends friends, they were just able to get along pretty well because they grew up in the same region even though their interests are wayyyy different from one another

- Ngl she probably had some crazyyy beef with Dyanna. Like, those ladies could not sit next to each other at the family function cause it either ended with them fighting (mostly about who’s kids are the worst),or them ganging up to bully another noble while absolutely hammered on some of that dornish red

- Also it needs to be said, Jena was probably absolutely a stunt queen when she had to grow out of her goth phase. Like, she went to the Alyssa T school of Being a Bad Bitch because she probably went riding and sailing with her kids all the time while they were still babies. If Baelor had a dragon she’d be bullying him to take her flying literally every day and get it to shit on the roofs of people she doesn’t like. Myriah’s mentality was “Oh I’m gonna be queen so I have to be careful about what I do” while hers was “Whoah I’m gonna be queen I can do (almost) whatever the hell I want!!”

- Unfortunately tho, it’s highly likely she died with her kids during the great Spring Sickness, but to add tragedy for flavour I think she died after both her sons. Rip queen :(

Aelinor:

- Okay so figuring out the whole timeline/relation with her kinda drove me insane, but my theory for the time being is that she’s Elaena’s stepdaughter through Ronnel, which does make her technically cousins with Aerys through marriage? I think she’s still probably a few years younger than him tho

- I also kinda think Elaena’s behind this betrothal a bit tbh- I think Aelinor really liked Elaena but saw her a lot more as a mentor she aspired to be like rather than any kind of surrogate mother figure

- Personality-wise girlie’s a completeee introvert. Like, I think she wants to be social and charming and all that, but she got that social anxiety that makes it so she’s scared to talk to people and spends most of her day inside reading

- For her hobbies….. I can see her being big into reading and research but idk I also really like the idea of her being big into poems, she likes really analyzing people from a distance and writing lil blurbs about them to spend the time. She’d literally rather die than share any of her works with anyone though, even if it’s really flattering to them lol

- So, I think her social circle’s kindaaa limited to the royal family, I think her best friends would be Aerys, Alys and Shiera cause I think that’d be kinda fun (and also I think she had a bit of a thing for Alys cause….. yuh) :)

- She and Aerys probably slept together like, once on their wedding cause they were completely convinced they would only have to do it one time…. They both regretted it

- And ngl despite the Horrors™️, and the whole of house Targaryen dropping like flies I think she was a lilll glad that Aelora was heir? Not because everyone else before her died, mostly due to the fact that she really liked Aelora specifically and maybe liked to pretend she was her daughter whoops

- Anyways my fun lil tragedy for her is that she outlives pretty much everyone she loves <3 she’d still be kicking during Maekar’s reign as a sorta dowager queen but she’s not doing much with that title, I diagnose her with…… death via heart attack while trying to write her will

Alys:

- Honestly this lady reads as a complete social butterfly to me lmao. Like, really bubbly, charismatic, and likeable as a person- I think she came in as a companion for Daenerys and both Daeron and Myriah decided to set her up with Rhaegel just cause she was really kind (and being from a major house definitely didn’t hurt either)

- For hobbies I can absolutely see her as a lady that was just crazy for birds lol- and that’s an interest I could see her bonding with Daeron over! She loves hawking and keeping some pet songbirds and feeding ravens, ngl I could see her and Aelinor working on a giant bird encyclopedia together lol

- When it comes to her and Rhaegel, I don’t think it was really love at first sight? Like, I think they got along and did eventually bond after the twins were born, but they only fell in love a few years into their marriage

- Speaking of the twins though! I really don’t think she was cool with the idea of them marrying, honestly it kinda horrified her but she saw how weirdly close they became and tried to cope by justifying that they’d be better together than apart with other people cause…. Tbh how the hell else can she get over the fact that her own children are marrying when that hasn’t really been the norm for a bit-

- Oh and she was especially nottt at all happy about Daenora marrying Aerion. Since by then I can imagine she’s lost both her husband and oldest children, she would be f u r i o u s that Maekar would even allow her last daughter to marry his craziest son, even if he wasn’t the one who suggested the match in the first place

- Girlie probably didn’t stay after Aerion died, like- she was quick to pack Daenora and Maegor and haul ass back to the Vale. No she didn’t give a flying fuck that they were considering her grandson as heir, they’re living in the Eeryie forever now!

- She did miss Aelinor after she left though (clueless about Aelinor’s kinda gay feelings rip) so the two probably shared a lot of letters, but I think Alys passed not too long after being back in the Vale from….. honestly imma say slipping on a toy and cracking her head open. At least one of these gals gotta have a sorta silly death

Dyanna:

- Ngl she’s probably second to Alys in being one of the sweetest in the group, but she takes NO bullshit from anyone. As stated before, she’s ready to throw down with Jena at the drop of a hat but tries not to start too many fights

- She and Maekar married out of love. To me!!! Like, idk they don’t seem like a politically advantageous match, so in my brain Dyanna was probably the daughter of one of Myriah’s ladies in waiting and the two ended up falling in love as teens cause idkkkkkk that’s kinda cute <3

- As for hobbies: absolutely cracked at weaving. 85% of the decorations at Summerhall are her tapestries and the other 15% are crafts by other artists that she really liked. She probably weaved most of her childrens’ baby clothes herself and regularly gifts handmade crafts to her family and friends

- Idk if she really had a favourite with any of her kids, but I can kinda say for certain that she definitely had a hard time with Aerion because she felt like she needed to be overly strict with him specifically which….. probably maybe perhaps gave Aerion some mommy issues idkkkkkkkk

- I like to think she had a cat at some point too, and when it had kittens she gifted them to each of her kids but they mostly became general household cats over time (except for Egg’s cat, that was his own and it…. Found itself at the bottom of the well whoops-)

- Canonically she died first out of the gang, and the narrative implies that she died giving birth to Rhae but I’m ignoring it because one fic I read a while ago had her die from breast cancer and honestly while it’s still tragic it also makes it so Dyanna’s not reduced to “woman who died in childbirth #67” which gets some originality points from me

What type of traits are the main cast(+miku) romantically attracted to?

Blizz: I wouldn’t say he’s outwardly romantically attracted to anything in particular, but he does seem to be attracted to leafeons because of his huge crush on Daisy when they were kids. He’s pretty oblivious to his own feelings romantically. He’d say things like “I like hot chicks!!” But wont react to one unless they are on a Playpoke mag because Flame told him once that that is how he should react when seeing the magazine and Blizz was like "ok!". This changes with leafeons tho. I suppose it’s familiarity? Tho either way, it takes time for him to genuinely become attracted to anyone. Complements will expedite this process.

Dusk: Dusk is into feminine features (and Sylveon). But also!!! He cant help becoming romantically attracted to pokemon that he’s spent a considerable amount of time with. Pokemon who know him and spend time with him, and seem to genuinely care about him. He actually falls for others pretty hard and fast, but he bottles up his feelings and tries to not show them to them. Which honestly just hurts him in the end, but fear is a big factor in it, I suppose.

Eve: Eve is attracted to intelligence and good looks? Idk lol normal tween girl stuff? She doesn’t get easily swept up in romantic words, but she does get swept up when someone does something for her or gives her gifts. If you just try to lure her in with sweet words, she’ll respond with a snarky reply. Gotta put in the effort!

Vay: Vay is not romantically attracted to any traits. Acts of service makes him happy, I guess.

Bolt: Bolt is also not romantically attracted to any particular traits, unlike Blizz, there is no thing that he’s even a tiny bit attracted to out of the gate. He does admire strong willed individuals, but that’s not romantic attraction. I can say that romantic gestures WILL make Bolt very flustered. Like do enough of those and show genuine care for him and he will fall. But! Aside from that? Nothing much lmao. He hates loud, noisy, and destructive individuals though- Like, if you stress him out, he’s like no thank you.

Flame: Flame SAYS he’s romantically attracted to WOMAN. ALL WOMAN, No matter the shape or size. But actually!!!! That’s not quite the case lmao. Flame has only experienced real romantic attraction to individuals that share his hobbies and thoughts. Individuals that are on the same wavelength as he is, regardless of their gender or how they look like. If they share the same views and spend time with each other, Flame will fall HARD (to his dismay). It’s very hard getting close to Flame, as he’s closed himself up to everyone, but if you do break through his hard shell, and spend time with him, you in! Well, unless you remind him of himself. He cant handle being with people that remind him too much of himself because he kind of hates himself.

Daisy: Daisy is romantically attracted to strong individuals. Look STRONG, be HOT, and Daisy will instantly be attracted. But this strength doesn’t just have to be in looks, it could be in other aspects, like your will power, your confidence, how passionate you are in a thing you love doing, etc etc. But ofc, If you butter her up with complements, she will be even more attracted lol. She also likes pokemon with a bit of an adventurous or mischievous side to them, and she LOVES Bad Boys/Girls. Like Villains are her favorite characters. Villain to good guy archetype 10/10.

Dawn: Dawn is romantically attracted to pokemon that have lots of MONEY. (Joking) Dawn is romantically attracted to pokemon that at a baseline- are not horrible. BASICALLY, Dawn has a very high sense of justice, and she despises pokemon that don’t treat others right. You may think this is hypocritical, but Dawn lives by the golden rule “Treat others the way you want to be treated” and if you don’t follow this rule, she’ll TM 15 you into oblivion. Dawn loves complements, and loves communication, she likes loyalty and honesty too. and ofc! Dawn loves a family man lol. She wants a BIG FAMILY, so anyone who shares her want for this and has the other traits is an instant yes for her! Also!!! She doesn’t like overly serious pokemon, or pokemon that hide their feelings from her. Communication is Number one!!!!

Miku: Miku is romantically attracted to Dusk. That is all.

Info dumping rn cause I can’t seem to draw anything and I needed to engage in my au somehow.

There’s a lot I’d like to draw in my au that I haven’t been able to, particularly how Steven would entertain himself on Homeworld. He’s a small human in a giant palace with no purpose to busy himself with, of course he gets up to things when he’s not with Star.

And this was stuff he did before Connie, she had no idea how good at sneaking around Steven was till later.

Obviously it would be hard to get around without being noticed, I think Steven also wouldn’t enjoy the gawking stares when he wasn’t being picked up and brought back to (Star’s… Quarters? Chamber? I dunno) his room. But also occasionally some gem would get brave and be like oh wow Star’s “pet” is so adorable let me go say hi! Which is also uncomfortable bc who wants to be dehumanized?

Anyway getting off track here, Steven would be able to get around by going through secret pathways that led pretty much anywhere, I’m calling them the Pearl Pathways for now. I got inspired by the servants’ staircases, which were in Victorian houses of certain sizes. Apparently they were used because servants were expected to be out of sight when they were moving around (I haven’t done much research). Which is messed up, but I feel like gems would have a similar opinion of pearls. So I broadened the concept. And I think Steven would totally be allowed to enter them. Orchid probably introduced him to all the local pearls, and they could understand his experience of needing/wanting to stay out of sight, so he became a bit of an honorary pearl and was allowed entry. Which btw, pearls aren’t allowed to explore any hobbies or have any fun, so I imagine they get by by sharing all the tea they gather from standing by their gems all the time. And Steven totally gets to hear all the gossip, he knows all about the “scandalous” fusions, and the opinions of higher ranking gems that would never be spoken otherwise. If he was desperate and needed something done, he’d have blackmail. Lol

I honestly think Steven could befriend anyone, and with all those secret halls, I bet he found his way to those sentient gems made into architecture. The show never talked about them much, but I think they were harvested gems used to build the palaces or something of the like. I bet they get bored. And I bet they enjoy Steven’s company and laugh at all his corny clown jokes.

When Steven isn’t traveling the palace talking to pearls or architecture gems (I don’t know what else to call them), I honestly think he’d be reading. Orchid definitely taught him gemglyph. So he’d sometimes just read up on gem reports or the empire’s history on his (organic-accessible) screen.

And then when he gets bored of doing that he’d go find Star and beg him to hang out with him. And Star wants to hang out with Steven, he really does, but he can’t afford to neglect his court and god forbid anger the other diamonds. So then Star would see if Spinel could hang out with Steven. And that’s like a last resort because they kind of trouble they could cause could be catastrophic.

Steven is a total extrovert and overall just loves getting to know people. Star is the exact opposite, he doesn’t enjoy talking to people much but I also wonder if introversion and extroversion would even exist in gems? Like I bet they have their preferences regarding socializing but do they have like levels of energy that is based on how much they interact with others? Either way, Star isn’t a big fan of big groups of ppl or making tons of friends, he’s just a workaholic and his work involves talking to tons of gems. He doesn’t mind Steven’s presence though. Sometimes he’s not up to chatting endlessly or even hearing Steven go on talking from subject to subject (he can be up for it tho and it happens), and they’ll just do their own thing in each other’s company.

You carefully looked towards the boy next to you, eyes subtly taking in the gentle features of his face. His brunet hair sat messily on his head, which you'd always wanted to run your fingers through to see how soft it was. 

Your eyes took in the small stubble which he had, barely visible in the moon's lighting, but you knew it was there. All the small details which you liked to take in about him, that you hadn't before noticed. It was like he got more attractive to you every time you saw him. 

You knew you liked him. A lot, in fact. You had come to terms with those feelings you harboured a few weeks ago, and it was quite obvious you liked him too. At least that's what both your friends always told you. You were honestly surprised that Shawn himself hadn't figured out you liked him already. Maybe he really was oblivious.

You hadn't a clue when it had switched from platonic to romantic feelings. But it had. You didn't know when you started wanting to know what it'd be like to have his lips placed on yours. Was he a good kisser? You felt the butterflies in your stomach every time you had those similar thoughts.

Forcing yourself to return your gaze back to the darkened sky so as to not get caught staring. The many stars shone down as you looked up. A small sigh fell past your lips as you observed the few constellations you had managed to spot. 

Unaware, to the many small yet longing glances which Shawn had now decided to direct towards you, in hopes that you didn’t notice him. He knew he liked you. He liked the way your front strands of hair would fall into the front of your face when it was windy. He always has to mentally stop himself from reaching forward and tucking it back behind your ear. 

He liked the way your eyes would look as if they sparkled in the sunlight, the way you could go on and on about all of your favourite topics. He loved how he could never get bored of you or your voice. But most importantly, he loved just sitting in silence with you and basking in each other’s presence. Which was exactly what you two were doing today or tonight really.

The stars gently twinkled and shined down on the pair of you, sharing subtle yet longing glances into the direction of each other. The roof underneath you was rough as you sat there, and you’d have to be careful if you did not want to go sliding down at all. An unexpected drop from where you both were could most likely cause you to break something. 

You adjusted your positioning, tucking your knees up into your chest and resting your arms over the top of them. You allowed a sigh to slip through, watching as the stars continued to form different constellations. You’d always had a thing for stars and astronomy. It has always been a hobby of yours, and resting upon your roof in the night was always a kind of safe space for you. Away from all of your problems you would face each day.

“Do you ever wonder what it's like to be a star?” You asked, turning your head slightly to the side where Shawn was sitting. You didn’t know what brought on this question at all. You suppose it was probably just something you had thought up in the current moment. You weren’t even sure if you wanted an answer from the boy with you.

“I don’t think I ever have. Why do you ask?” He asked, snapping out from his own thought-filled silence now to answer your question. His head tilted to the side in the slightest confusion briefly, and one of his hands quickly ran through his brown hair. 

You bit your lip, unsure how to continue on with this conversation. A part of you screamed at you to blurt out your growing feelings towards your best friend. Though, you didn't allow that part to win at all. You knew it would only end in rejection, followed by a heap of heartbreak towards you. Despite it killing you not to tell him, you didn’t want to experience that rejection. “Not sure, I’m just bored of this silence right now”

He chuckled, and fuck you loved his laugh. It felt like millions of tiny butterflies were fluttering around your stomach right then. You hated how it always made you so giddy inside whenever you heard it. Plus, it wasn’t really helping your current situation. 

“Do you like anyone right now?” Shawn asked with the slightest bit of hesitation in his tone. He wasn’t entirely sure what pushed him to suddenly ask this. Maybe he was hoping you would blurt out his name. Or it could have been that the question had bugged him for weeks, like it was burned into his brain, and that he desperately wanted an answer. 

“Um..I-” You stumbled, taken aback at first by his words. You weren’t expecting that question, and you had no idea if you should answer him with the truth or not. Should you lie and say a random name? or should you finally get it over with and confess and handle the oncoming that would soon play through? Fuck it you decided, after having a small mental battle with your thoughts. It was now or never.

“You?” You allowed it to slip out, sounding more like a question when you heard it fall out from your mouth. Here you go, you took a deep breath and allowed yourself to brace yourself for the oncoming heartbreak headed your way. The next words would hurt a lot for the following few days, but i suppose with time, you could eventually move on. 

“Oh thank god. I like you too” A breath of relief fell from your lips now at those words, which managed to surprise you at first. You let a shy smile come into play on your features and watched as a similar one showed up on Shawn’s face, too. A gentle hue dusting your cheeks the tiniest bit. 

Shawn slowly moved his hand closer towards you, watching you carefully in case you were to reject his next movements. But when he saw no sign that you were going to. He continued to inch his hand closer till they fell onto your own. You smiled a little larger and allowed your fingers to interlock with his own, a silent confirmation between you two, that you were his.

And as you turned your heads back up onto the sky above you guys, large smiles spread across your faces at the current events that had just taken place. You felt a whole weight lift from your shoulders, the sudden fear of rejection and heartbreak fading completely in that moment from both your minds. 

Maybe you were both idiots, oblivious to the other’s feelings before. But at least now you were both idiots in love.

So I'm not sure what it is exactly but I'm feeling quite passionate tonight about many things, like a burst of energy and honestly it's feels fuckin amazing.

Not gonna lie when I first read this ask I misread and thought you wanted a darling who designed OUTFITS because I was kinda tired, but upon rereading I quickly became very excited because I’ve actually designed characters for a school play before!!! This was fun to write, thanks for the request!

Yandere Valkyrie x reader who designs characters

He’s really curious! He thinks what you do is super interesting!

Now I think both Shu and Mika would help design characters with you (specifically the outfits), but the kinds of designs they do well with are likely fairly different even with some overlap because of how long they’ve worked together and grown with each other. Mika probably does better with brighter, contrasting colors- his fs1 and 2, both of which I think he designed himself (though I could be wrong about his fs2, I know for a fact he made his fs1) he makes use of bright color combinations that Shu tends not to (though you can correct me if i’m wrong) like the orange/teal combo on his fs1 and the purple/teal combo on his fs2, though admittedly it’s less noticeable there because they’re more evenly blended together. His fs2 also has plenty of brightly colored accessories, like the paperclips, gems and gummy bears. Overall, he seems really good at designing things with lots of colors/patterns that usually come off as strange to most people.

Moving on from the impromptu short outfit analysis, he’s gonna try to use this somewhat shared hobby of yours to try and get closer- what do you expect. He’ll ask a lot of questions about what your thought process was, and probably start incorporating any kind of advice or methods from you into his work.

It’s been mentioned in the enstars stories that Mika likes horror, so he’ll be particularly excited if you usually design horror characters, maybe even a couple of monster designs, and he might even try to help out- both to improve his skill in designing and to spend time with you.

He already would’ve asked for your input whenever he was designing outfits even if you didn’t do character design, because he asks for your input on almost everything he does (almost like an uncannily clingy puppy), but since you DO like costume/character design, he asks for your opinion twice the amount he would’ve- good luck honestly, I think I’d go crazy.

Takes everything you say about his designs to heart and works your advice into the outfit he’s working on to the absolute best of his ability even if it was just an offhanded comment without a lot of thought put into it.

You’re his darling! His inspiration! Of course he takes your opinions seriously!

Design something specifically for him and he’s absolutely over the moon- his darling designed something for him!

Hope you know how to take a compliment… or a tsunami of them.

Goes over every detail in it at least 5 times and probably puts it in a shrine somewhere- and yes I do think he’s the type to keep a shrine of his darling.

Definitely makes a couple of designs for you, and makes a few into actual outfits when he has the time, adding whatever accessories were part of the original sketch as well

His designs tend to be a sort of fusion between yours and his aesthetics- teal butterflies and ragged teddy bears intertwined with whatever you like.

He might try making matching outfits or accessories for you and him! He thinks it makes you two look like a couple, even though you aren’t dating yet.

I don’t think Mika currently makes characters in canon, just outfits, but he’ll probably start coming up with a few so he has more stuff to talk about with you and bond over.

Please, please him for his work! It would mean the world to him! He just wants your attention…

He probably also thinks what you do is interesting, but obsesses over it to a lesser degree than Mika.

He’ll definitely do better helping with any fantasy/royal/generally fancy designs. He uses lots of a red-ish maroon-ish color in the Valkyrie stage outfits and his winter/fall casual outfit, and a general red in his fs1, so it seems like he’s more comfortable using shades of red in outfits. There are also a decent amount of intricate details in what I assume are the stage outfits for Valkyrie, for example the Acanthe outfit alone looks like it would’ve been hell to make (though I don’t have any experience with making outfits right now, check back in a couple years and I’ll probably be able to confirm) due to all the lace and frilly wavy details- I don’t know how he keeps his sanity together at all honestly. Of course, he also does well with steampunk aesthetics, as seen in, once again, the Valkyrie stage outfits as well as the steampunk outfits for Valkyrie that you can buy in game.

Anyway, he’ll ask if he can make some of the outfits you came up with, and if you let him, he’ll spare no effort making sure it’s perfect. After all, it’s for his beloved muse!

I’m sorry if you really hate standing around and being examined for long periods of time, because you’re gonna have to do a LOT of modeling for it- there’s gonna be a lot of adjustments to how it fits you so hopefully you can entertain yourself without losing your mind.

I also hope you don’t have much planned for a while during this process, because he won’t let you leave while he’s working on the outfit and having you model it. Say goodbye to the plans you made with your friends, because Shu expects you to stay with him throughout the whole process of sewing your design, and he isn't willing to let you say no.

That aside, he definitely knows a lot about clothes and fabrics, so he’s really useful for pointing that kind of stuff out. Also since he’s gonna end up making a few of your designs, you’ll be able to take a picture of yourself for reference in whatever pose you’re trying to draw the character in! That’s a pretty good deal if I say so! (then again I’m also terrible at imagining how clothes fold so I might be a little biased)

He’ll also offer plenty of constructive criticism, and it’s nice to have an honest, structured opinion of your work rather than nothing at all, even if he does tend to be a little harsh about it. After all, it is Shu, even if he is obsessed with you- don't expect him to do a full 180 in his treatment of you.

Will probably end up flipping through your sketchbook for inspiration to use in his designs, whether you give him permission or not. He just has to know what aesthetics appeal to you, what colors you prefer, your favorite types of clothing… then a while later he gives you an outfit totally tailored to your tastes and while he talks about his thought process while making it, you have to wonder how he figured out so many of your preferences. oh well, he’s always been observant. Maybe you just mentioned most of it offhandedly at one point at one point and just didn't remember..

youre a mind reader 😈 tho just as an overall warning a lot of my headcanons are not canon-compliant. i do what i think fits best for my characterization of them.

,,,as seen in my most significant headcanon for the rowdyruff boys: their ingredients are switched around, as are their ages;

boomer is the oldest. his ingredient is snails. he's a loner by choice, but well-liked by most of his peers.

brick is the second-oldest. his ingredient is snips. he thinks he's the leader + breadwinner, even though he's not.

butch is the youngest. his ingredient is puppy dog tails. he is the (unofficial) leader + mediator, really just wants a nap.

boomer's ingredient is seen most in his easy-going facade; he treats it like a shield against insults, criticism, or any kind of negative feedback. uses this 'shell' personality to let things roll like water off a duck's back.

in reality, he's a very angry individual. there's a lot for him to be angry about, because he's also compassionate - he wants to be able to shield his loved ones from the same injustices is. the fact that he can't really screws with him sometimes, hence the (usually) failed attempts to push people away.

he's also super into creepy crawlies. has a pet african snail that he originally got more as a gimmick and then immediately fell in love with, but the rest of his pets are insects; stick and leaf bugs, praying mantis, ant collonies, cockroaches, a beetle collection, etc. he's super passionate about each and every one + talks to them like one would a dog or cat.

the worst part is he's super squeamish around reptiles. hates snakes, fully believes the stigma that they're slimy. as if he doesn't pick up worms with his bare hands.

brick's ingredient is shown through his tendency to cut ties with people. he gets so caught up in his own goals and ambitions that he tunnel-visions - blocks people out, and if they get in his way he'll do whatever it takes to make them move. if the people in his life can't keep up, then they're gone altogether.

being goal-orientated also makes him pretty 'snippy' in demeanor. he comes across as dismissive and impatient a lot, which contributes to driving people away; he thinks everything is for him to deal with on his own because of it, which can blind him to the fact that there are people in his life who want the best for him.

he has very few hobbies. he has very few friends to actually engage in hobbies with. brick feels particularly detached from the world, but not necessarily unhappy. it's easier for him to love people from a distance.

brick runs a questionable homemade soap business on etsy, too. he treats it like a super important secret that nobody knows about, but his brothers know. they know. (he defends it by saying it's a side-business. it's actually because he made personalized soap as a gift one time, and the hobby stayed.)

butch as puppy dog tails is my favorite !! he's very loving and protective, shows his loyalty through action more than words - both with his heart on his sleeve, but misunderstood by those who can't read the signs.

his role as 'the leader' is honestly more about just being supportive than really leading anything, though he's definitely got a monopoly on the apartment they share. he's the glue that keeps his brothers together, while trying to encourage brick and boomer in their separate endeavors.

he loves bowling. when all else fails, bowling is the one thing he'll never say no to regardless of time or place or mood. i see butch being somebody who used to participate in a lot of active hobbies, but burnt out over time; bowling is still his favorite activity despite losing interest in many other things.

he's actually pretty interested in books and plays. not enough to be a theater kid, but in the literature sense. part of the appeal is the escapism; most of it is a genuine enjoyment of narrative exploration and expression. (unlike brick, butch's hobby is actually a secret. not on purpose - he just doesn't talk about it a lot.)

some other miscellanious headcanons:

boomer is obsessed with starbucks. his usual order is appallingly complicated.

butch is a jack of all trades, master of most. the bane of his existence is math.

all three of them have piercings, but brick has the least. only has ear gauges, did it to feel included. kind of hates them but can't really go back.

boomer plans to broaden his horizons on his collection of insects. a tarantula is in his future.

completely unrelated, brick is arachnophobic 😇

butch covers any surface with sticky-note reminders,,, that he promptly forgets about.

both boomer and butch are high school drop outs, for varying reasons. butch barely made it through sophomore year, and boomer dropped out right before junior SATs.

brick's the only one to complete high school and continue into secondary education.

they were fostered by ms keane for a time ! she helped appeal for their emancipation and financial aid, and still checks in on them occasionally.

butch attends therapy. for the sake of the post, i'll leave it at that !

the rrbs are kind of a common ground between the ppgs and the ppnkgs in the earlier years of them all growing up together. each relationship with each is different, but overall they never had much problem with either side (once certain, obvious issues were dealt with.) it's kind of a whole timeline thing for my genverse.

Is it okay to ask if we could lean more about your OCs in the Finfolk AU? Like, what’s their work life, the roles they’ll play, what are their hobbies, and what was the inspiration when creating them? Oh, and will we see your butterfly OC by any chance? I love butterfly characters because of the unique and mesmerizing wing patterns.And fun fact, some butterflies are actually attracted to blood.

I don't mind at all! Though I've never been one to make many OCs. It was only until after Welcome Home did I consider making any at all so they aren't really finished. Also I am an indecisive person on personal creative projects like this.

Both Ankor and the butterfly OC are works in progresses since I could not decide on their appearance and backgrounds, but I do have a general idea of what I want them to be so I'll share!

Ankor, who might be renamed to something more fitting, is supposed to be a shark-like dog similar to Barnaby but his features are much more sharp and he gives off an aura of strength. I got this inspiration from seeing funny videos of sharks acting like puppies around some divers because they wanted pets on the head (they were literally pushing each other out of the way for a good scratch it was so cute).

Ankor's character is that of someone who loathes injustice so he often goes about setting things right. Or well, making the scales even. He's not a "good guy", but he's not really a villain at heart. He cares about others but he does things in a violent and lethal way. More often than not, he'll be wearing silk-like furs that are really just selkie furs. No, Ankor isn't hunting them or anything like poachers do, it's actually just a good way to try and find the coat's owner because he usually does concerts near coastal regions (Side explanation: I personally think in a world of magical creatures and normal ones there would absolutely be people sick enough to hunt others for their magical qualities so I added poachers in this universe because it adds a bit more depth and danger to anyone with magic in them). He has a giant audience which means there will be lots of eyes that will see the coat so someone is bound to come forward later and get it back. He repeats this over and over whenever a new coat is found and given back to the owner. Oh, but do not lie to him. He will absolutely know when someone is lying, and he does no take well to others lying straight to his face.

As for the music he does? I'm still deciding on that.

During his free time, Ankor sometimes visits the island to see Barnaby and just hang out. The island is very quiet, there's no chance of him being tracked there, and the finfolk that Barnaby lives with all have useful items that he often buys from them. It's a win win honestly.

Onto the butterfly OC. That one I almost got rid of.

Bit of a rant sort of, it's still a touchy subject to me

At the time last year, I don't remember around what month, but it was when Welcome Home was booming, I ended up getting lots of messages from people on X about my OC and if I could draw NSFW art of her or draw Wally. The fandom seems to have this pattern of wanting NSFW from artists of either the WH characters or their OCs. It is very concerning behavior and I decided to drop anything that could possibly be NSFW or leaning towards it in any way even though I wanted my OC to be sexy or drop dead gorgeous (she's a butterfly, of course she needs to be that). But it appears that adults on X and in this fandom are too immature for that.

Her whole design was something I wanted to be alluring because of her nature. I actually did take in the fact that butterflies drink blood, sweat, and tears literally, purposefully irritating the eyes of animals to make them cry, or eating dead flesh off of reptiles. I was thinking of making her a beautiful vampire but decided against that because it felt too generic.

I think, if butterflies could truly gain higher sentience and they became giant they would not be kind at all, but flesh-eating monsters that used their pretty looks to lure others in or take advantage of others. Also, my gods, their wings would probably get massive if they became even human-sized. Gorgeous, but massive enough to cause damage.

I didn't really take the chance to flesh out her character, but I did with her personality. She has a deep French accent and a gentle but elegant aura to her and with every step she takes she looks like royalty. And she'll still keep that act up when she's drinking away at her victim's life force and blood. I wanted this OC to be as cold as ice, but lovelier than the brightest star.

If she did have a job, I could only imagine it would be modeling at fashion shows, being a designer herself, being in ballet shows, or some sort of famous singer.

As for personal non-fandom OCs? I have very few, barely even two. In fact, these two are just a mere idea of a story I want to make, but I'm not sure how.

I'll share it some other time because I really have no idea of how I can possibly express these ideas other than imagine Swan Lake, but the guy she's in love with is an evil dark lord that wants to take over the world and she's a rogue knight from an opposing kingdom that's trying to kill him and they have no idea who each other are they just want each other dead but they find each other so pretty they can't do anything about it. 😭

Hi! Could you share your favourite headcanon(s) for Harry and Uma?

Oh nothing would make me happier

Alright so, Harry absolutely loves the idea of having matching outfits with Uma all the time. He will always make an effort to buy clothes that look like hers, plan his outfits so they match. He will wait for Uma to get dressed first and then come out in an outfit that looks like hers and be like, "that's crazy, we totally match" Uma rolls her eyes but definitely loves it too.

Similarly Harry will just straight up steal Umas clothes, he doesn't care if they fit weird that's just the style don't you know. Again Uma doesn't usually care, but sometimes she tries to give him a taste of his own medicine when she can't find anything to wear and everything is in his closet. She will wear his clothes which makes Harry absolutely head over heels, oh it makes him so happy. Which wasn't exactly Umas plan but oh well.

I like to think that Harry is really into reading and literature, especially the old, romance stuff like Shakespeare. Anyway since he's so awed by it he starts writing Uma poetry and love letters making her all warm inside but she's totally keeping her cool on the outside, or really trying to.

Uma craves cuddles from Harry because he is huge, and so warm, and it feels so good to just be totally engulfed by him.

And Harry loves holding her because he knows she's safe there with him.

Harry has a very specific scent and Uma knows when he's in the room even if she can't see him because she can smell him.

They both like good smells because everything smelled gross on the isle also Uma's still insecure about how she smells. So when they move to Auradon they love all the soap and perfume shops and will always stop in the candle isle and just smell candles together discussing the different scents like it's their job. It's honestly one of their favorite activities.

Harry thinks the best gifts he can give Uma are weapons and honestly, she agrees. So throughout the years Uma has built up quite the weaponry collection because Harry is always giving her some sort of new dangerous gadget.

Though, Uma had to return a few after Harriet figured out Harry had been stealing from her collection of weapons .

Harry loves fashion and style. This was hard on the isle though because hardly anybody had a lot of clothes and if you wanted something you would most likely have to make it yourself. But Harry couldn't sew. So, Uma would always make him clothes, even if he didn't ask for it, she thoroughly enjoys it. Harry is very grateful for this and he has made that clear. Plus, It always made her happy to see him sporting something she had made him. He slays every time.

I think Harry has ADHD making it hard for him to focus. But he can always focus on Uma, so she will help him whenever, and has lots of patience for him.

Uma never had, or grew up on a ship so she didn't know how to sail or maneuver the ship. Instead of making fun of her and saying she was unworthy of being Capitan if she didn't know how to work a ship, Harry simply taught her all he knew, he loved the bonding time and feeling like he was important.

Uma can understand and talk to marine animals. She loves telling Harry all the gossip and news about the sea animals lives, she gets absolutely giddy to tell him. And when they go to the ocean she'll just start convos with a random fish updating Harry so often of what's going on. It's one of the millions of reasons Harry is so deeply in love with her, he loves seeing how happy it makes her.

Stealing is fun. It's one of their favorite activities and hobbies to do together. It's frowned upon in Auradon but Uma decided it's okay as long as it's not from a small business. And anything Uma says goes, so...

Harry has done all of Umas tattoos and it's going to stay that way because the boy has an artistic eye.

Harry likes to caress Uma it's a stress reliever and she's soft so you know, it's valid.

Them doing each other's hair and makeup obvi.

Uma got Harry a bouquet of nightshade for Valentine's day, because it's funner when it's deadly.

Uma thinks that sword fights are the most romantic dates, oof and seeing Harry in combat. Just makes her ravenous.

Umas the early bird and loves watching Harry sleep. He always has crazy bed head. But this means Uma falls asleep first so Harry gets to watch her sleep during the night.

Uma started having Harry test her food to see if it was "poisonous." In reality she just felt bad that he wasn't getting enough food and this excuse was the only way she could get him to take some of her food. This just led to them sharing food all the time.

Both Harry and Uma downplay their injuries, it's an isle thing. But it truly concerns Harry just how much Uma will downplay her injuries. One day she said she was fine and proceeded to collapse in front of him. So it gives him extreme anxiety, but like, she's not gonna stop.

It shocks Uma how easily Harry can insert a pick up line or compliment into his sentences when he's talking to her. It's just so quick that she's just stuck there silent not knowing how to react.

Harry would be happy to die for Umas cooking because she is by far the most amazing cook on the planet. At least in Harry's eyes, oh God she's amazing when it comes to cooking.

By the way Uma cooks, Harry cleans. And Harry will cook sometimes if he knows it will relieve her stress.

Harry's receiving love language is physical touch. Umas is words of affirmation. So if course they make sure to shower each other with these.

Uma and Harry have grown a habit of watching and loving soap operas because Ursula always had them on in the chip shop. So when they get time to relax they watch soap operas together and laugh and make fun of them, while also being super invested.
