IN LIFE, THERE WAS ONLY THREE THINGS YOU WERE SURE OF. First, sparkling water is stupid. Just drink soda or water instead, there’s no point in pretending you’re better than anyone else when in reality it’s just that you can’t pick a side! The second thing you knew was you were born to be a lawyer. Arguing was in your blood, there was no doubt you were going to make an incredible attorney one day. The third and final thing that you knew for certain was that you hated Choi Soobin.
Freaking Choi Soobin. In the past, you never thought you’d be the kind of person to have a nemesis. The whole concept of having an enemy seemed childish, and like something that only happened in movies. But, then you met Soobin, and everything changed. You hated him, and his smug little attitude, and he hated you, too.
You know, there was actually a point in time where you didn’t hate Soobin. It sounds crazy, but there was actually a time you might have called him a friend. Back when you were just a baby-faced girl, fresh out of high school and filled with excitement for your first college course. Soobin sat next to you, and you bonded over your desire to one day go to law school. But, then he betrayed you when he told the guy you liked, Hwang Hyunjin, that he saw you kissing the TA for your class, and from that moment on, Choi Soobin was your enemy.
And of course, as your enemy, he just had to apply to intern at the same firm as you. He had followed you to the same law school, so it was no surprise he followed you there, too. But you were starting to grow tired of his ever looming presence. After you graduated, you wouldn’t be surprised if he got a job at the same place as you, just to piss you off.
After a long morning of sorting through the mess of files in the basement of the office, it was finally time for your lunch break. You had been standing with your shoulders hunched over for hours, and you were positive your back was about to break from the stress.
“Y/N!” One of the only other interns in the office, and your only friend in the office, Sumin, called out to you once you appeared back upstairs. “I thought you were out sick or something, where have you been?” She stood up from her desk and wandered over to you.
“I was exiled to the basement. There’s files from like, 20 years ago down there, it’s a mess.” You groaned as she followed you towards the break room, rubbing your shoulder as you walked.
Sumin winced. “Ooh, yeah. Sana was telling me about how when she was an intern here, she had to go down there once, and found a rat skeleton.”
“What?!” You gasped in horror, a little bit louder than you meant to. “That was like, ten years ago though, right? It must have been cleaned up since then, right? Because I dont think I can work around dead rats, no matter how bad I need this internship.”
You heard a laugh from the corner of the break room, and felt yourself become filled with dread. With your jaw clenched tightly, you slowly turned to face the direction of the noise. There he was, sitting at the little table with a cup of ramen in front of him and his phone propped up in front of him.
“Soobin.” You glared at him. Sumin, bless her heart, tried to pretend she couldn’t sense the tension as she slowly opened up the door to the fridge.
“You know why they sent you to the basement, right, Y/N?” Soobin asked, raising his eyebrows at you.
“No, but I’m sure you’re about to tell me.” You rolled your eyes, turning to the fridge to fish out the salad you brought for lunch.
“Because they don’t trust you enough to do the important stuff.” He told you with an amused tone to his voice.
You spun around, slamming the fridge door behind you. “Really? Remind me, who did Taemin pick to help him with the Park case? Me! Not you!” You snapped, jabbing your finger in his direction pointedly.
“Y/N!” Sumin hissed your name scoldingly, as though he wasn’t the one who started it.
Soobin’s smug smile twisted into a scowl at your reminder. “That’s just because I had the flu and wasn’t here. You were just his second choice.”
You had successfully managed to get under his skin--which wasn’t very hard--and were satisfied as you sat down at one of the other tables with Sumin. “Sure, Soobin. Keep telling yourself that.”
He started to raise his hand, like he was going to make some sort of rude gesture at you, but flinched and tucked his hand beneath the table when someone else walked into the room. You furrowed your eyebrows together, and turned in your seat to see who it was. His ears must have been burning, because Taemin himself had decided to join the three of you.
“Oh, hi, guys.” He smiled at you as he walked over to the fridge. You glanced over at Soobin over Sumin’s shoulder. He was staring back at you, with his eyes narrowed and jaw clenched.
That was another thing about Soobin that had always bothered you. Especially in moments like now, where he looked like he was seconds away from murdering you, no matter how hard you tried to ignore it, he was extremely attractive. You had always thought so, even back a million years ago when you were friends. His dark eyes and his perfectly shaped lips just did something to you that you were slightly ashamed of.
You swallowed hard, diverting your attention down to your salad. You could already feel your skin becoming hot, and there was absolutely no way you could ever let Soobin get even an inkling that you might be attracted to him. It was just all so humiliating.
“Y/N, Soobin, I actually need to talk to the both of you. Could you meet me in my office after you finish lunch?” Taemin asked, and you immediately looked back over to Soobin to see if he knew what it was about. His eyebrows were furrowed together, though, and he looked just as confused as you.
“Um, do you mind me asking why?” You asked hesitantly, looking over at your boss.
“Don’t worry, it’s nothing bad. I just need your help with something.” He reassured the two of you wish a smile.
When he left the break room, you could hear Soobin grumbling in his corner. You wanted to ask him what he’d done to get you both in trouble, but you were also not in the mood to fight with him. Not when you had to go and face Taemin in just a few minutes. He said it was nothing bad, but you weren’t sure you believed him.
While you finished eating your food, Soobin stood by the doorway, huffing dramatically as he waited for you. Just for that, you took the smallest bites you could, which just made him even more annoyed. Sumin was clearly feeling very awkward as she ate her food, eyes flickering between you and Soobin like she was waiting for one of you to attack the other.
Once you had taken the final bite, Soobin stomped over, and grabbed your wrist to tug you out of your seat. “Clean up for her, will you, Sumin? I’m sure you already do that a lot.” He asked your friend, before dragging you out of the break room before you got the chance to protest.
Finally, you snatched your wrist free from his grip, rubbing the sore spot as you trailed after him in the direction of Taemin’s office. “Ugh, you’re such an ass, you know that?” You murmured.
“Me? You’re the one purposefully taking forever when our boss is literally waiting for both of us.” He snapped at you.
You don’t say anything else, worried that someone else in the office might hear your childish squabble.
When the two of you finally reached Taemin’s office, Soobin opened the door, and you’re shocked when he gestured for you to walk in first. Then, you remembered how much of a suck-up he is, and that your boss was on the other side. You shot him a glare as you walked in.
“Oh, good! You’re here!” Taemin greeted the two of you. “Please, sit.”
You obliged him, sitting down on the small couch across from his desk. Soobin sat down as well, and you immediately noticed his leg pressed up against your own. The same heat you felt before spread across your skin like a wildfire, and you cleared your throat.
“So, as you know, the Kang vs. Choi trial is happening next week. Now, Jun was supposed to be in charge of sorting through all the files and compiling them into binders, but his appendix burst and he had to get surgery.” He rolled his eyes, as though Jun was just being dramatic.
“So, now I have fifteen boxes full of papers that need to be sorted through… And I need to get them to the Court tomorrow.”
“Tomorrow?!” You blurted out, eyes wide.
Taemin nodded. “I know, it’s short notice, but Jun claims he had been ‘busy’ and was ‘getting around to it’ before his appendix burst. So, I was hoping you two would be willing to stay late tonight and finish his work.”
“Tonight?! But—“ Soobin started, but was cut off by Taemin.
“You don’t have to do it. I’m more than happy to ask one of the other interns. I figured you two would just like the opportunity to help me out with this…”
“Absolutely yes, Taemin! I can’t speak for Soobin, but I would be delighted to help you with this!” You might as well have held up your hand in salute from how militaristic your answer came out.
Soobin glared at you. “Yes, I am also very willing to help you.” He said as formally as possible, but he couldn’t hide the slight annoyance in his tone.
Taemin smiled. “Great! I’ll have Jisung bring up the boxes, then you can get to work later!” He told you, which you took as your cue to leave.
Soobin trailed after you as you left the office and started to return to your desks. “I can’t believe he’s making us work all night to sort through a bunch of boxes.” He muttered.
“What, did you have a hot date tonight, or something?” You teased, glancing at him over your shoulder.
He raised an eyebrow. “Why? Are you jealous?” He asked, and you immediately scoffed in response.
“Why in the world would I be jealous? If anything I would feel bad for whatever poor soul has been tricked into a date with you.” You quickly snapped back at him.
“Whatever you say, Y/N.” He said with a sigh.
You hated that a small, minuscule part of you was happy he didn’t have a date.
Tumblr media
BY THE TIME EVERYONE ELSE HAD CLEARED OUT OF THE OFFICE, you and Soobin had managed to get through seven boxes. It was nine o’clock at night, and the exhaustion, as well as the hunger was starting to hit you. You still had eight boxes to go through, and you weren’t sure how you were going to make it through the night.
“God, I’m so hungry.” You muttered as you picked through the papers in the box you were currently working on.
You expected him to make some snarky comment or something, but he didn’t. Instead he just let out a small hum in agreement. “Me too. Should we try ordering some food?” He suggested.
You nodded, then made the mistake of glancing over at him. At some point during your sorting, he had lost his tie, unbuttoned his shirt down to the middle of chest, and rolled up his sleeves to his elbows. His dark hair, which had been meticulously styled when he came into work that morning, was now a disheveled mess. There was a thin sheen of sweat that glistened against his skin. He looked way too good under the soft glow of the office lighting.
“Sure. If anywhere is even open.” You replied, eyes flickering back down to your box.
“I know a good place. I order from there all the time when I’m working late.” He said plainly.
“You work late a lot?” You asked as you pulled out a thick stack of papers.
“Yeah. I mean, don’t you?”
“Of course I do. I just… I dunno, assumed that you had other things to do besides work…” You shrugged.
He leaned back against the table he was working at as he worked on ordering food on his phone. “Why would you assume that?” He glanced up at you with furrowed eyebrows.
“I don’t know. I guess I just thought that a good looking guy like you would have a bunch of girlfriends and friends to hang out with.” You felt your face grow warm as you worked, once again avoiding his gaze like it was the plague.
He laughed. “Yeah, I wish. I’m way too busy for that…” His voice trailed off, and you could feel him look up from his phone to look at you. “You think I’m a good looking guy?”
You shook your head, while you started tapping the papers against the table to straighten them out. “No, I didn’t mean it like I think you’re good looking. Just, like, you’re objectively a good looking guy. I think. Sumin thinks you’re good looking. Not me, I definitely don’t—“ Your hand got too close to the paper, and you felt the edge slice straight through your palm.
You hissed loudly, dropping the papers onto the table. “Stupid fucking paper.” You muttered to yourself, and Soobin wasted no time rushing to your side.
“Did you cut yourself? Do you need me to go get a bandaid or something?”
“No, it’s fine. I just need to go and rinse it off.” You told him, trying to push past him in the direction of the bathroom. He pressed one of his big hands against your shoulder to stop you.
“Just let me get you a bandaid.” He rolled his eyes at you. “I think Sana keeps some in her desk…” He mumbled as he started digging through the said woman’s drawers.
You huffed, turning around to lean back against the desk. “You better hurry. I think I’m about to bleed out and die.” You called out to him.
He glanced up to give you that same annoyed look he always seemed to wear around you. “Maybe I should let you. Then I wouldn’t have to put up with you everyday.”
“But then who would keep you on your toes?” You asked pointedly. He finally found a bandaid, and started walking back over. “Admit it, Soobin. You need me.”
He didn’t say anything, instead focusing on opening up the bandaid. He held out his hand, gesturing for you to put yours in, which you did hesitantly. He had really soft hands.
You watched as he gently pulled off the tabs of the bandage, then laid it across your palm. He used one of his long, slender fingers to smooth it down and make it stick.
It wasn’t until he glanced back up at you when you realized how close he was to you. His dark eyes met your own, and you had the instinct to look away, but something about his gaze had you entranced, and you couldn’t look away, no matter how hard you tried.
“Fuck,” he breathed out, hanging his head down. He took a step back from you, and it felt like a warmth had disappeared. You blinked at him as he ran a hand through his hair. “I can’t pretend anymore, Y/N.”
“What do you mean?” You asked quietly, although you had a feeling you knew exactly what he meant, because it was the same thing you were thinking.
“I can’t pretend like you’re not all I can think about. At work, at home, at school, I can’t get you out of my head.” He confessed, and for a second the insecure part of you thought he might have been saying all of this as some sort of cruel joke, but the look in his eyes told you it wasn’t.
“Thanks…?” You played stupid, tilting your head at him. You needed him to just come out and say it, to confirm you weren’t crazy, and what was happening was really happening.
He let out a frustrated sigh. “When we were freshmen… And I told Hwang Hyunjin you were kissing the TA…”
Your ears perked up. Was he finally going to explain what that was all about, after all these years?
“It was because Hyunjin told me he was planning to ask you out. And I got jealous because I wanted to ask you out, but was too scared to do it.”
Oh.
“You did?” You asked quietly.
He nodded. “Of course I did. You were smart, funny, and gorgeous, of course I wanted to ask you out.” He was avoiding your eyes now, his cheeks tinted pink.
“And… How do you feel about me now?”
“I feel like you’re incredibly annoying, and sometimes you’re a bit of a know-it-all, and some days you dress sort of like a grandma—“
“Hey!”
“—but I also think you’re smart, probably smarter than me. And you still manage to make me laugh. And even though you do dress like a grandma…”
Your heart jumped up into your throat when he started walking back over to you, getting just as close to you as he had been before. But then he got even closer, leaning down so his lips were aligned with your ear.
“…You look like a sexy grandma.” He whispered in a low, sultry voice.
You immediately burst into laughter. “Oh wow, Soobin, you really know how to get a girl going.” You told him with a laugh, and he leaned back to look at you with narrowed eyes.
“Shut up.” He murmured while you continued to giggle.
“Here, let me show you how it’s done, okay?” You wrapped your fingers around the collar of his shirt, and gave it a tug so you could lean in close to him. You didn’t say anything for a moment, just letting yourself catch your breath.
“Are you just going to breathe in my ear the entire time?” Soobin asked in an irritated tone.
You shook your head. “No. I’m going to tell you, that right now, with your sleeves rolled up…” You gently dragged your fingernails against his bare forearms, and you felt him shiver. “And your shirt unbuttoned…” Your hand traveled upwards to trail across his exposed collarbone. “And your messy hair…” You reached around to brush your fingers against the hair on the nape of his neck.
“You look incredibly sexy.”
He leaned back and immediately bent back down to connect your lips to his. He kissed you harshly, like you were the only thing that could cure his hunger. His big hands found home on your hips, while your own nestled themselves deeper in his hair. Just like you had predicted, his lips were perfect for kissing.
One of his hands let go of your waist, and you heard a scuffle behind you. For a brief moment, you pulled away from the kiss to see what was going on, just to find he had slid everything off of your desk. With it all clear, his hands wrapped around your thighs, and he lifted you up onto the desk and slotted himself between your legs.
He went back to kissing you like a mad man, using one arm to hold you close against him by your waist and the other to stabilize himself against the desk. Your fingers moved quickly across the buttons of his shirt, undoing each one until the shirt was completely open. As you started to trace your fingers against his abdomen, he slid the hand that was wrapped around your waist under your shirt, practically burning against your bare skin.
Just as he was starting to prod at your lips with his tongue, there was a loud banging noise, which caused you to help and immediately cling onto Soobin.
“Oh my god! We’re gonna die! The killers always go for the people making out first!” You wail, digging your fingers into his collar to keep him close to you.
He rolled his eyes. “I take back what I said about you being smart.” He said with a sigh, and you gasped loudly.
“Shut up, you ass!” You hissed at him, smacking his chest and pulling away from him.
He gave you a lopsided smile. “Kidding. Anyways, I’m pretty sure it’s just our food.” He told you with a sigh, staring down at you while his thumb brushed against your swollen lip.
You shivered. “I guess we can always… Finish this later, right?” You asked quietly. As much as it pained you, you were still starving, and had lots of work left to do.
He pouted. “Promise?”
You nodded, then sat up to gently press your lips against his. As you sat back, you smiled at his dazed expression. “I promise.”

you always found an array of characters during your morning commute on the paris metro. there’d always be locals, some on their way to work or home just like you. amongst the locals were tourists decked out in overpriced souvenirs specifically curated for suckers like them. at night, there were drunks who thankfully were smart enough not to drive. the reek of alcohol on them wasn’t that amusing, you must admit.
despite the variety of people you could see passing by on your commutes, it grew boring. always the same thing every single day. not even the music playing in your headphones or the book you brought with you that day could make time go faster. it’s not like it would be any better once you got off the train either. your life was incredibly dull and repetitive. if only something could serve as a change of pace.
to think that your life had become boring in a place like paris of all places. it’s the city of love, is it not? even if you were created out of love and born in a city all about that concept, you had none of it. maybe that’s why you felt this way. no matter how many times you pass the same streets or enter the same train station, you had yet to find the one thing everyone seemed to look for so easily here.
you had basically given up at this point, committed to living an empty life where all you did was work, eat, sleep, then repeat. it’s what most people do in other countries anyway, might as well join the party. the second you had fully lost all hope, however, was when you saw the most beautiful stranger on the train. you almost wanted to slap yourself for being so pessimistic before.
you walked onto the train with the expectation of just sitting around until you got to your stop. as you walked to your usual seat, that’s where you found your beautiful stranger, sitting in the seat right across from the one you sat in every single day without fail.
you knew you had never seen him before. you take this train almost every damn day, so who was he? had he just moved here? was he a tourist? where’s the “i love paris” shirt and the eiffel tower keychain made of shitty plastic? instead, he was dressed like someone meant to be on billboards and magazines. surely had the face to fit the bill too. he was undoubtedly breathtaking, and he ultimately captivated you upon first sight.
it was pathetic how you hesitated to sit down. he didn’t seem to waver, looking down at his phone. from the reflection of his sunglasses—yes, you were that curious—he seemed to be swiping through photos. you assumed they were ones he had taken around the city. paris was definitely filled with photo opportunities, so you couldn’t blame him for that one. it’ll look good on anyone’s instagram feed.
you try your best to make yourself look occupied. shuffling through your bag to find a book, the rummaging sounds catch the attention of your beautiful stranger. your eyes meet for a brief moment when you turn your body to lean back in your seat with a book in hand. despite how quick the moment was, you swore your heart dropped the second you caught his gaze.
oh god, was this the excitement you had been waiting for? you couldn’t mistake it as anything else. leave it up to you to fall for a stranger upon first sight, but who cares? finally, finally, your life had begun to be painted in color. even if it was just for a moment, you’d savor this one train ride that actually seemed worthwhile for once in your life.
you steal glances at him every so often, praying he wouldn’t catch you and make you feel embarrassed for staring. you just couldn’t help yourself, he was like a walking renaissance painting. actually, you don’t even think da vinci would be capable of capturing the essence of someone who looked like a real-life prince.
the moment you knew you had reached your stop, you wished you could glue yourself to your seat so you had no choice but to stay on the train with your beautiful stranger a little longer. as much as you wanted to, you simply couldn’t, having no choice but to say goodbye without actually saying a word at all.
it was silly to think a stranger on the train could change your life in an instant. still, you were grateful for the temporary change of pace. if only you could thank him somehow, but alas, you knew you had no chance of seeing him again.
•••
the next day, you found your beautiful stranger again, this time sketching down something in a sketchbook. you caught him looking at everyone who walked onto the train, and when it was finally your turn to step on, he actually smiled once he laid eyes on you. it all felt like you were dreaming. if this was cloud nine, then you had finally reached it.
when you walked over to your seat across from his, you noticed he clutched the sketchbook close to his chest, almost like he didn’t want you to see what he was drawing. you were too shy to speak up and spark a conversation with him anyway, so it wasn’t like you would pry. still, you were curious to know what was on the page.
it pained you knowing you lacked any courage. you found you were better off acting like you were interested in your book, on a random page as you were too in your head to actually start from where you left off and completely ignored the folded page that indicated that. what would happen if you said hello? would he say hi back? ask if you’d like to see what he’s drawing or ask about what you’re reading? the possibilities seemed to be endless, but the possibilities seemed safer as thoughts in your head rather than facing reality if you were to take a chance.
you can’t help but watch intently as his face scrunched from focusing on his sketch, his only tool a wooden pencil. did he plan to color it later? you can imagine trying to avoid rattling colored pencils leaving his possession due to the bumpiness of the train. he was quite brave for trying to draw in a place like this, you thought.
unnoticed by you, your beautiful stranger’s cheeks flushed and ears burned red as he could feel you watching him draw. the subject of his drawing still remained a mystery to you, however. tempting to spark up a conversation, yet so debilitatingly scary at the same time.
it seemed rude to stare for so long, so you put a stop to it immediately and busied yourself with your phone, catching up with texts you had missed since getting up for work. your phone was always blown up with texts from your friends, today being no different. if you didn’t silence your phone at night, you would never get any sleep.
they had been informed about your current saga, and the update would certainly excite them. it was hard to resist a smile as you texted them about the latest scoop, especially as the subject of said scoop was only a few meters away from you. maybe this should wait until later, otherwise they’d trying forcing you out of your comfort zone by talking to who was still a total stranger at the end of the day.
who knows though? for all you know, he could be a murderer. a stinking gorgeous one too. as if you need to be on the evening news. even so, those were just silly thoughts, all just an excuse to stop yourself from taking a chance at something for once in your life out of fear.
the second you reached your stop, you instantly regretted being so silent. would it have killed you to try? it felt like it would’ve, but you figured this morning was the last chance you’d have. if only you weren’t such a scaredy cat.
•••
after your shift, an unexpected reunion occurred on the evening commute. the train was quite crowded at this time of day, majority of the aboard trying to get home after a long day’s work, including you. the surplus of people made it quite difficult to find seating, but luckily for you, your beautiful stranger had a seat occupied by his bag, perfect for you to sit.
this was the extra chance you craved the second you got off the train earlier, cursing yourself throughout the day for not even attempting to just say hello. you were so thankful to see him again, it was almost like the universe blessed you for this very purpose. you were such a wuss this morning, but you refused to allow that reputation to continue now.
once you took a deep breath, you walked to where your beautiful stranger sat, trying to keep your balance as the train moved at rapid speed. in the midst of your struggle, the sound of your footsteps thumping on the ground caught his attention. he looked up in surprise, not expecting to see you, but thrilled nonetheless.
“hi.” you miraculously manage to speak out, your accent making an appearance during your pathetic english. it was agonizing how your heart raced a mile a minute just by uttering one word, so you tried your very best to calm yourself down. “is this seat taken?”
“no, no…” he replied to your question, picking up his bag and moving it to the floor by his feet so you could sit. “here.”
“thank you.” you say before taking the seat next to him.
god, your heart was thumping like the loudest drum ever created. to sit across from his was one thing, but right next to each other, shoulders brushing due to the lack of room? if only you could put a stop to this rapid percussion inside you. at least the sounds of the train rumbling against the tracks could serve as buffer for the unspoken tension between you and your beautiful stranger.
his sketchbook rested unopened on his lap. you recognized it as the one he had earlier, previously held close to his chest as if he were hiding secrets. what could someone as dashing as him be hiding in there, you wonder?
almost as if he were reading your mind, he suddenly opened up the sketchbook, flipping the pages—which revealed beautiful drawings in the split second you saw them—until he landed on a page of a finished sketch, one that you swore looked like you sitting on the train yesterday.
you look up and catch his eye. “is that me?”
“mhm.” he nodded with a soft grin.
his art style was something to be proud of, meant to be showcased in somewhere exquisite like the louvre. could this guy be any more perfect? drop dead gorgeous and talented? to see yourself captured in such a bewitching way was truly the greatest compliment one could ever receive.
the sound of the page ripping away from the binding of the sketchbook startled you. what was he doing? it was so perfect! why mess it all up? you couldn’t help but say something about it.
“what are you—”
“you can have it.” he interrupted you, holding the page in his hands, waiting for you to take it.
“oh…” your cheeks flush as your fingers accidentally grazed over his upon grabbing the sketch. “thank you.”
you almost felt bad holding this in your hands, afraid of ruining it just by the touch of your hand. how could he just let you have this without hesitation? even if this was a drawing of you, it felt like you didn’t deserve to have it.
you examine the drawing down to the details of the clouds behind you. you look for some sort of signature, assuming every artist had one in hopes to find a name. in the bottom corner, you see the name “hyunjin” written in cursive. you had finally put a name to your beautiful stranger.
“hyunjin?” you attempt to pronounce his name. your accent did you no favors, but you tried your best regardless. he furrowed his eyebrows in confusion until you pointed to where his signature was, then receiving a nod confirming that was his name.
“hwang hyunjin.” he said slowly. you repeat his name in full, speaking slower than him to make sure you were saying it correctly as you desperately didn’t want to screw it up. hyunjin, as you’ve now learned, gave you a nod of approval once you’ve won the battle with your accent.
“i’m y/n l/n.” you tell him. it would be awfully rude if he didn’t learn your name, after all. it seemed hyunjin didn’t seem to struggle at all when it came to pronouncing your name. his english was far better than yours, which wasn’t a shock as he seemed to be so insanely perfect in every aspect possible.
“are you an artist?” you ask, making an assumption based on the clues given to you the past two days. if he were anything else, you’d be surprised.
“i sing and dance.” hyunjin replied. you couldn’t believe his perfection could get any greater, but it just did. it would shock you if you learned your once beautiful stranger was a world famous one.
“well, your art is lovely.” you say.
“thank you.” he blushed shyly. to hyunjin, it felt so nice being treated like a normal person, appreciated for his art above all else. while there was no denying you found him to be the most breathtaking person you’d ever seen, there was more beneath the surface, and hyunjin was grateful to be seen for what he loves to do.
“is this your first time in paris?” you question, a chuckle escaping hyunjin’s lips over your pronunciation of your homeland. you were trying to get as much information out of him as possible before you were tortured with reaching your stop and leaving him once more. you had to take this chance while the universe let you have it.
“this is one of my favorite places to visit.” hyunjin said. truth be told, he always loved paris for its scenery and art, but yesterday he found one more reason to love it. is there any other place to love better than a city known all about that?
a visitor’s perspective was certainly different than the perspective of someone who’s lived here their whole life. there were so many reasons to love paris when you didn’t experience the greatest things about it everyday. to you, it was the same old thing. but to hyunjin, it was like a brand new experience each time in the rare event that he visited. but meeting each other allowed the both of you the ability to find something new to appreciate about this city.
“the eiffel tower gets old after a while.” you joke. hyunjin burst into a fit laughter, one more obnoxious than his calm chuckle from before. it infected you instantly, and you craved more of his laugh now that you’ve fully heard it.
hyunjin calmed himself down, letting out a sigh as he leaned his head back with his eyes closed and a grin on his face. he was truly the most beautiful person you had ever seen. “i hope i never get sick of this place.”
“i hope you never do.” you tell him, looking at his face as if he were a sculpture in a museum. “don’t wear it out.”
“i won’t.” he opened his eyes and responded to you, his smile not going away as you gazed into each other’s eyes.
you can’t help but stare at one another, almost like magnets pulling you together. was it normal to feel like this about someone you barely know? even so, it felt like you knew hyunjin before you ever met. such a thought would seem like insanity to someone else, but not to you, at least not in the moment.
your once unwavering stare was unfortunately interrupted by the sudden thrash of the train stopping. you look out the window and recognize it as your stop. if you were crazy enough, you’d stay on the train until they kicked you out, but you weren’t all that brave enough to try your luck. maybe you were better off savoring this moment for what it was; just a moment with a beautiful man who was once a stranger to you.
“ah, that’s my stop.” you say with a frown. hyunjin’s smile from before faded too. it was clear neither of you wanted this to end.
“oh, alright.” he replied. hyunjin watched as you quickly collected your things, not forgetting the drawing he gave you when you first sat next to him. you would cherish it as long as you could, and he could only hope that’s what you’ll do.
“maybe i’ll see you on the stage here someday, yeah?” you force a smile. you were actually sad to see this end, but if you keep a grin on your face, then maybe it’ll hurt a little less.
“yeah…” hyunjin nodded. “i hope you do.”
“bye, hyunjin.” you wave goodbye, hyunjin doing the same.
“thank you for making the train less boring for me.” you get those final words out before following the line of people exiting the train. hyunjin kept his eye on you for as long as he could, even staring out the window as you disappeared into the sea of people. if only he could have went with you.
“bye, y/n.” he said to himself, clutching the sketchbook that once held his masterpiece; a drawing of you, his beautiful stranger.
•••
on the third day, hyunjin was nowhere to be seen. you saw it coming, really. you knew last night was probably your final chance to ever see him again. still, a part of you hoped he’d magically appear on the train when you went to work the next morning.
the thrill you once had was no more. the spark lit aflame in your heart all gone. you weren’t sure if anyone would make you feel the same way hyunjin did. maybe meeting him was a lesson, something to teach you what the city of love was truly about, what you’ve failed at your entire life. at least now you were able to succeed, even if such a success was temporary.
you were thankful that your once black and white world finally had some saturation in it for once. if you were to meet hyunjin once again, no matter what the circumstance may be, the world would be in full bloom. you would look for him in everything you see, down to the bakeries you’ll eat at and sceneries you’d visit, for as long your thoughts echoed his name.
while your routine became repetitive once more, at least you had hyunjin’s image in your brain and his drawing in a picture frame on your shelf. if you were as talented as him, you’d try your hand at drawing him too, but you knew you wouldn’t be able to capture him like your eyes ever did. at least you have the memories.
hyunjin dreaded watching you leave, and he hated it even more when he left for the airport in the morning. he wondered if you thought about where he went, hoping you thought about him like he did now with you. you’d remain ingrained in his mind. whenever hyunjin thought about paris, a place he loved just as much as his hometown, he would think about you too.
he couldn’t explain this sadness inside him to anyone else. hyunjin couldn’t fathom anybody understanding the feeling of love at first sight like he did. a true romantic at heart, maybe you were the only one to be just as foolish as him when it came to romance. after all, you were instantly captivated by one another.
maybe, just maybe, hyunjin could write a song about this and sing it to the thousands of people he performed for like clockwork. but no matter what the days ahead held, hwang hyunjin, your beautiful stranger, was all that he would ever remain, and you would remain as his.

i was enthralled by this person on the train while in paris and decided to draw them. i hope they liked it. i'd love to see them again someday.

As an outlaw, Minho’s entire livelihood depended on him not attracting too much attention to himself, on laying low and being as stealthy as possible. Which was why it almost felt counterintuitive to be here right now, trying to get his ship caught on the radars of a cargo ship. Although, to be fair, it wouldn’t have been the first time he tried to get into this cargo ship in this exact same way, but usually he’d have a bit more preparation than this.
“Shit… Here we go. Buckle up, boys”, Minho informed his crewmates.
Their entire starcraft shook violently as the gravitational beam of the much bigger starship pulled them towards it. They were discovered almost as soon as they came close to the vessel, and Minho had honestly taken a leap of faith with this move, because this could’ve gone two ways: like it was going right now, them being pulled towards the hangar within the starship, or they could’ve been shot down on sight.
Getting within the perimeter of a smuggler ship was always dangerous, especially when done unannounced, but Minho was desperate, so he did what he had to do.
As soon as his ship was parked within the hangar, he unbuckled his safety belt, standing up and stretching his limbs. “Guys, get ready. Remember what I said, no sudden movements, no arguing, just follow my lead, okay?”
Hyunjin and Felix nodded in understanding, getting out of their seats and stretching as well, just as loud thuds started to resonate within the crammed space they called their ‘navigation room’. That was a bold claim, this ship consisted only of that navigation room, small enough to go undetected when needed, but not that good for long periods of time travelling, he’d admit.
“Open up, hands in the air!”
Minho nodded to his crewmates, and once they both lifted their arms he hit the door’s button on his console.
Four super battle droids stood right outside, with their blasters pointed right at them. Minho hadn’t seen this model of droid before, they must’ve been one of your latest acquisitions, and somehow, that thought brought a smile to his face. However, new droids meant that they wouldn’t know who he was, which also meant things could get out of hand really quickly.
“Step out!”
Minho got off the ship first, with his hands in the air as instructed, followed by Hyunjin and Felix. The droids immediately took a hold of their wrists, rather forcefully, and it made him wince.
“Hey! We’re cooperating, don’t be so harsh, jeez…” The droids completely ignored Minho, simply continuing their task of holding their wrists behind their backs and binding them together.
“Names, and what were you doing fluttering around this ship?”
“I’m Minho. These are Hyunjin and Felix”, Minho replied simply, gesturing with his head as he named his two crewmates. “We came to speak with your captain”.
“Our captain has no time to deal with stowaways”, one of the droids scoffed, pointing their blaster right to Minho’s forehead.
He couldn’t help but smirk, the words flying past his mouth before he could even think twice about them. “How can you call us stowaways when you were the ones to pull us in here?”
The droid went silent. Minho figured that if it could make facial expressions, it would’ve looked annoyed.
“It’s really important”, Minho urged. “I’m sure she’ll understand. If you’re planning on throwing us to the trash chute, don’t you think she’d like to make the call herself?”
The droid in front of him went silent again, the other three were just surrounding them, pointing their blasters at them. It was taking the droid so long to say something, Minho started to really worry that he had miscalculated how this part of the plan would go.
Ultimately, the droid lowered its weapon, and the three of them heaved a sigh of relief. “Follow me”.
The insides of the ship looked almost the same as they had last time Minho was here, save for a few changes to the corridor’s decor. How long had it been? Three months? Six? It was hard to tell these days when he was running for his life half the time.
The group of droids guided the three of them towards where Minho knew the main control room would be, where you probably would be. He should’ve been unfazed, Minho had seen you thousands of times, but somehow every single time without fail his heart would flutter, especially when so much time had passed since he last saw you.
As soon as the doors of the main control room slid open they were engulfed by the sound of clicks and clacks from the amount of droids sitting at their stations just pressing buttons. It was impressive, how you had put together this entire operation almost on your own, he couldn’t help but smile at the sight.
“Captain”, the droid spoke finally, snapping Minho out of his daze.
Ah, there you were, hunched over your desk, with your fingers flying on the touchscreen that was embedded in it. What were you doing? Planning your next course? Ensuring the safety of your routes? Checking for imperial ports in the vicinity? Minho was always curious, mostly because he was nosy. He wanted to have as much knowledge as possible at any given time, but he also just liked to hear you talk about things. He quite enjoyed hearing you speak, he’d admit.
“What is it, B2-49?” Shit, just your voice could kickstart Minho’s heartbeat. He should visit more often, the longer he spent away the more your mere existence affected him, and it was, quite honestly, inconvenient.
“The stowaways wish to speak with you”, the droid, B2-49, informed you, and you scoffed, not lifting your eyes from the screen under your fingertips for a second.
“How can you call them stowaways when we pulled them in here in the first place?”
“Took the words right out of my mouth”, Minho couldn’t help but say, grinning at you once the sound of his voice finally pulled you from your task.
Your eyes went wide as soon as you spotted him, you clearly weren’t expecting him, and Minho would lie if he said he didn’t enjoy catching you off guard, that he didn’t enjoy your attention.
Your gaze jumped from him to his two companions, and your brows furrowed. You looked at him again, right in the eyes, confusion written all over your face. “What’re you doing here?”
“Can’t I just drop by anymore?”
“You can”, you leaned back in your chair, crossing your arms over your chest. “But something tells me you’re here with a purpose”.
‘So when I come here to fuck you isn’t a purpose?’ was what Minho would’ve liked to say, because that was often why he came to your ship, but he’d always come alone. Hyunjin and Felix didn’t have to know any of that, so he kept his mouth shut. Instead, he chose to take a direct approach.
“We need a safe route to infiltrate the Antrilian quadrant”.
You scoffed, incredulousness painted all over your face. “Have you gone mad? Antrilia? Want me to get you right to the intergalactic council as well?”
Antrilia was known for hosting the biggest slave ring in the galaxy, it was heavily guarded by imperial forces, and it was Minho’s goal to bring it all down, to free every single slave in the quadrant, stealing a few prized possessions in the process–he had to get his money’s worth, of course.
It was a very personal task, considering two of his crewmates had been taken by the empire recently. Saving his friends and taking it all down wouldn’t be easy, the entire quadrant was heavily guarded, which was why he had come to you, the best, most discreet smuggler he’d ever known.
“I’m being serious”, and he was.
Minho’s entire purpose was to rid the galaxy of every single slave camp he could, that was how he met his crewmates, they formed their own guild and were now some of the most wanted men in the galaxy. Ever since he himself escaped from one of those places when he was just a kid, he made it his purpose to wreak as much havoc as possible, to bring down the system. It was dangerous, and he’d been close to dying more times than he could count, but he just couldn’t turn a blind eye to it.
You looked at him for a moment, your eyes jumping all over his face. After a while, you finally unfolded your arms to place your hands flat on the table. “Oh my Gods, you are serious. Do you have a death wish?”
Minho gave you a smile, a smug one, and you immediately brought your fingers to your temples, rubbing circles there.
“I can’t do that, Minho”, you said as soon as you seemed to realise he wasn’t going to back down.
“If there’s anyone in this galaxy that can get us there is you. I wouldn’t be asking if I didn’t truly believe that”, and Minho really meant it. Regardless of his personal connection to you, he knew you were incredibly good at your craft.
You looked at him for a few moments, quiet, pondering, he could almost see the cogs turning inside your head, and for a brief moment he wondered if you would just shoot him down completely. That was, until you spoke again.
“What’s in it for me?”
"My gratitude", Minho said in a mock tone, and you quirked a brow, almost as if you were telling him ‘be fucking serious right now’.
So he clicked his tongue, slightly annoyed that you didn’t want to play along. “The receptor of an imperial cruise with a valid code”.
Immediately, a glint of excitement appeared in your eyes,
“How did you… Get your hands on that?”
Minho shrugged. “I have my ways”.
You were silent for a while, just looking into his eyes and tapping your fingers on your desk. Minho looked right back at you, waiting for you to make your decision. This wasn’t the first time he was asking for a favour, but it was certainly the first time he was asking for something so dangerous, so he could completely understand if you didn’t want to help him. He wouldn’t have taken it to heart either way.
With a deep intake of breath, you finally stood up from your desk and walked a bit closer to the group, to stand right in front of Minho. “This is not something I can decide just now. I need some time to think about it”.
“There’s not much time, I’m afraid”, Minho gave you a genuinely apologetic smile, and you sighed, somehow sounding both defeated and annoyed.
“Quit being dramatic. I’m sure you can give me at least twenty four hours”.
“Twenty four hours sounds reasonable”.
You looked at Minho for a moment, and then looked at his crewmates. “Who are you guys?”
“Hyunjin”.
“Felix”.
Both of his crewmates introduced themselves at the same time, but you seemed to pick up their names anyway. You signalled your droids to remove their restraints, giving them both a welcoming smile. “Welcome aboard, Hyunjin and Felix”.
They simply returned your greetings, sounding immensely grateful now that they were no longer bound. You were just about to walk away when Minho cleared his throat with a frown on his face.
“Aren’t you going to untie me, too?”
You looked him up and down, and a devilish smile made its way to your lips, making the fine hairs on the back of his neck stand on end. “Why should I?”
“So you untie my friends and not me? Seems a bit biassed on your part, doesn’t it?”
You walked closer, standing so close he almost felt as if you were going to kiss him. Right there. In front of his friends. And that realisation had his heart pounding in his chest, and, even more annoyingly, it brought heat to his ears. He tried his best to not show how affected he was, though. He stood his ground, with the self-assured smile he could pull off.
Bringing your hand behind him, you took a hold of the device binding his wrists. “Say please”.
His smug façade crumbled immediately, replaced by a look of incredulousness. Minho scoffed, tilting his head to the side and looking you right in the eyes. “You can’t be serious right now…”
The corners of your mouth quirked up, and the mirth in your eyes made him both feel giddy and incredibly annoyed.
“I’m dead serious, Lee Minho”, you told him, and Minho realised then that if he leaned in just the tiniest bit, he could definitely press his lips to yours, and for a second, he genuinely considered it.
If it had been just you and your droids, he certainly would’ve kissed you right then and there, but the presence of his friends behind him gave him pause. It wasn’t like Minho minded if they knew, it was that he wasn’t sure whether you would mind or not. But based on how things had gone between you two so far, he figured you would, so he took a deep breath, closing his eyes to avoid looking at your triumphant face.
“Please”.
“Please, what?”
His eyes snapped open, and there was nothing he wanted more in that moment than to wipe that glint of victory in your eyes. Regardless, Minho swallowed his pride, he was in no position to try his luck.
“Please, captain”.
You smiled, clearly satisfied. With what Minho figured was a press of a button on his cuffs, the thing unravelled from his wrists, finally letting him move freely.
“That wasn’t so hard, was it?” You tapped his chest, and Minho had to bite his tongue. Oh, he was so getting his payback for this.
Before he could say anything, you spoke again. “You guys can stay here today if you want. There’s plenty of rations for all of us, including the few other living people on this ship, but I’m afraid there’s only one spare room conditioned for people to stay in besides the crew’s”.
“We’ll stay”, Minho rubbed his wrists, trying to ease some of the ache caused by his restraints.
Tumblr media
The room provided to them was big enough, with a bunk bed embedded on one of the walls, and another on the other. Very sterile looking, nothing in particular stood out, it was just like any other room Minho had seen on a spaceship of this size. The biggest add-on was the adjacent washroom, which the three of them immediately rejoiced at when they noticed it.
No one ever spoke about it, but depending on the ships you travelled in throughout the galaxy, a washroom could be considered a luxury, so the prospect of a good shower and a fresh change of clothes was certainly appealing. Minho let his younger crewmates take the spot first, since he was sure both Hyunjin and Felix were dying to feel clean again.
As he waited for them to come out, slouching on one of the chairs in the room, Minho’s mind couldn’t help but wander. He’d never imagined he’d be here, in your ship, with any of his friends. He’d hoped that maybe one day, if things worked out, he could introduce you to them in a less… Contained fashion. But things never seemed to go as he expected whenever it came to whatever it was that was lingering between you two.
As soon as his friends were ready, Minho immediately rushed to the washroom. He took his time just washing off all the grime and gunk that had stuck to him during their almost never-ending travels the past handful of days, so truly, he was immensely grateful for that shower.
“Do you think she’ll help?” Felix asked from where he was laying on the top bunk as soon as Minho came out of the washroom.
“Honestly?” Minho rubbed a towel on his head, trying to get his hair as dry as possible. “I really have no idea”.
Hyunjin eyed him for a moment, leaning back on his hands from where he sat on the bottom bunk. “You sure? You seem to be awfully close with the captain of this ship”.
“I mean, I wouldn’t say awfully close”, Minho was great at lying and deception, but even to him that statement sounded incredibly disingenuous. “We… Know each other”.
“You know each other? Or you know each other?” Felix wiggled his eyebrows at Minho, just as the older man was sitting on the bottom bunk of the other bunk bed.
“If you ask me, I’d like to think she’d do it. But this is very different from any favour I’ve ever asked. More dangerous… So who knows”, Minho decided to completely brush off the curious eyes, and even more curious questions of his crewmates. Explaining his connection to you was something he’d rather not speak about, not now at least.
Felix looked like he was going to say something, something incredibly annoying. So Minho decided to abruptly stand up from his bed and intercept him. “Anyway, I’m going for a snack”.
“A snack?” Hyunjin asked once Minho walked past him. “Is that how we’re calling the cap–”
Before he could even attempt to finish his sentence, Minho took the towel he had draped over his shoulders and swiftly snapped it in Hyunjin’s direction, hitting him in the arm.
“Ow! Unnecessary!” Hyunjin rubbed his upper arm, pouting.
Minho simply offered him a ‘deserved’ before he walked out the door.
Tumblr media
Minho did intend on finding something to snack on before bed, but he would lie if he said he wasn’t keeping his eyes open in case he spotted you. All he’d seen so far was the odd droid going about their business, and a couple of crew members who greeted him as usual.
“Who gave you permission to wander the corridors of my ship?”
Minho’s skeleton almost jumped out of skin at the sudden voice speaking to him. As soon as that initial shock passed he knew it was you, how could he not know when the sound of your voice was already ingrained in every crevice of his brain? So he decided to put up his best smug façade once again, ignoring the way his heart started to thump in his chest just at the sound of your voice.
“You did, captain. If my memory serves me right”.
You just scoffed in response, and started to walk towards him. Once you stood in front of him, you crossed your arms over your chest, and simply looked at him with a frown on your face.
For a moment, Minho didn’t say anything, just like you didn’t either. Your gaze was stern, guarded, just like it usually was whenever you were into your Captain Mode. After all, you spent most of your time around your crew, leading them, planning morally questionable arrangements to get work going, so it was no surprise to him that you looked at him like this.
However, after a few more moments of silence, the frown on your face turned to one of concern, and, honestly, Minho would lie if he said he didn’t like it when you worried about him. Because he knew that was what was going through your mind right now, worry.
“Is there anything I can say or do to get you to not do this?”
Minho gave you a smile, a genuine one, the ones he reserved mostly for you, and for moments like these. “No”.
You sighed. “For a pirate, you sure have a lot of morals, don’t you?”
“Being a contradiction is my favourite pastime, baby, you know that”, he registered the pet name falling from his lips a second too late. There was nothing he could do about it, it was like his brain would automatically shift into Smitten Mode whenever you two were on your own. If you were displeased by it, you didn’t show it or say anything about it. “I must say, I find it rather cute that you’re worrying about me that much”.
You scoffed at that, rolling your eyes. “Of course I worry about you. Unfortunately, you’ve got this horrible habit of risking your life, and since I’ve got the horrible habit of caring about you, it’s only natural that I worry”.
Had you no regard for his weak heart? How could you tell him you cared about him so nonchalantly? And while you were scolding him at that? He wanted to say something back, to bicker a bit more, but his body seemed to not agree with that logic, because it decided that the best reaction would be to rush blood to his ears and his chest, making him flush.
So, to counterattack, Minho simply did what he did best, to display his affection through his actions instead of his words. Cradling your face in his hands, he dragged his thumbs over your cheeks, and as he stared into your eyes he could see all your walls crumble, just like they always did in situations like these. ‘Cute’, was the last word to leave his mouth before he pressed his lips to yours.
Warmth spread quickly inside of him, the tiny whine that escaped your mouth as soon as your lips connected ignited in him all those feelings he usually tried to ignore, and the way you kissed him, with as much desperation as he felt, had blood rushing to his length immediately. Minho couldn’t help it, it was instinctual at this point, to get hard when you so much as touched him–even if that touch was only your lips on his, your hands grabbing his top, and your tongue inside his mouth.
Before he knew it, he had moved, walking forward and pressing you against the cold metal walls of your ship. His hands finally left your face to hold your waist instead, and you took it as an opportunity to loop your arms around his neck, burying one of your hands in his hair and tugging gently.
“Missed you”, Minho mumbled against your lips as he slotted one of his legs between your own, pressing his thigh right against your core. He wasn’t ashamed or bashful of the words that came out of his mouth, he was way past that point, he’d decided long ago that sometimes–especially after long periods of time apart–telling you how he felt was better than having to bottle it all up.
“Missed you, too”, you mumbled back, bringing one of your legs to wrap around his hip, pulling him close, kissing him deeply right after. You, clearly, had also decided to let go of those inhibitions as well.
Moving his hand from your waist to your bum, he groped the flesh over your bottoms, just as he detached himself from your mouth to sparsely press kisses on your neck, right in the areas he knew you were the most sensitive, making you whimper. “Can’t believe you made me fucking beg to get me out of the handcuffs”.
“Wouldn’t have been the first time”, you replied with a strained chuckle, digging your heel on the back of his thigh, enticing him. It was certainly working. “Probably won’t be the last, either”.
“You minx”, Minho chuckled, returning his lips to yours, pushing his tongue inside your mouth, taking a hold of your thigh and squeezing it.
Your heavy breathing, the warmth emanating from your body that immediately seeped into him, kindling the fire that burnt bright inside of him, that fire that didn’t seem to die regardless of how much time passed, all combined had Minho’s head spinning, had him growing impossibly hard. He needed you just as much as he needed oxygen in his lungs, and for a brief second he considered taking you right there, right in the middle of the corridor, uncaring of who could walk by and see you two.
As usual, though, you brought some sense into him, tugging hard on his hair to get him to detach his mouth from yours, mumbling a breathless ‘wanna head to my cabin?’ to which Minho simply replied an overly confident ‘thought you’d never ask’. So, as soon as he separated himself from your body you took his hand in yours, pulling him along the corridor, following the familiar path to your sleeping quarters.
Tumblr media
There had always been this thing about your room that gave Minho an immense amount of peace. He wasn’t sure if it was the infuser you seemed to have on at all times, the one that filled your room with whichever relaxing essential oil you’d gotten your hands on during your travels, or if it was the clear signs that this was your living space–the seemingly permanent heap of clothes on the chair next to your bed, the journal you kept on your desk, the huge, old-fashioned map of the galaxy taped to the wall… It was all so incredibly you, it made him feel completely enveloped by your presence, it comforted him, really.
His favourite part of your room, though, was your bed. Incredibly comfortable, with just the right amount of firmness to it, saturated in the smell of you. And maybe later, Minho would be able to bury his face in your pillow, to try and etch your essence into his memory to get him through the hard days to come.
Right now, as your clothes and his landed on the already existing pile of clothes on your chair, he could hardly think about any of that. The feeling of your bare skin against his was more than enough to drown him in the moment. Every sigh, moan, whine that came out of your mouth whenever his lips touched your skin, the warmth of your body under him, it all let him ignore the world out of this room, out of this ship, let him focus on only you and him and the deep desire that was burning bright inside of him.
Between your hands roaming his back, the desperate way you clung to him, kissing him so hungrily he could barely breathe, Minho knew it was only a matter of time until you talked, or until he talked. He always wondered who would be the first one to ask that burning question that always hung in the air, most of the time it was him, but on odd occasions, you’d cave, and he was always ready to answer when you did.
“Have you been with other people since the last time we saw each other?”
There it was. You beat him to it this time, but, honestly, it really didn’t matter who asked it. To him, regardless of who broke the question first, it never made the entire thing any less absurd.
“Other people?” He propped himself on one hand to get a better view of you, dragging the other hand all the way from your shoulder to your centre, feeling your heated skin under his palm. His fingers teased your folds, spreading your essence all over, getting his fingers drenched. Gods, you were so wet for him already, and you’d barely even started.
Minho was impatient. He always was the first time he got you under him like this after a long time. He wanted you, he wanted to see you squirming and writhing under his touch, so he wasted no more time, easing his ring and middle finger into your dripping heat. A quiet moan flew past your lips as soon as he was buried to the knuckle, gripping the bed sheets near your head once he started slowly thrusting his fingers in and out, letting you get used to the intrusion.
“There’s been no one else. No one could ever remotely compare”, he emphasised his words with a hard nudge on your sweet spot, and a tug on your nipple, eliciting a moan from your lips. “There’s been flirting, I’ll give you that. Knowingly and unknowingly. More often than not to get ourselves out of tricky situations, you know how it is… But physically? Emotionally? I haven’t wanted anyone else since the first time I buried my head between your legs and got you to moan so sweetly for me, sweetheart”.
“Minho, my darling…” Your voice was airy, your face flushed, and quiet moans continued to spill from your lips as he picked up his rhythm, prepping you, moving his fingers against all those areas inside of you he seemed to have committed to memory throughout the years, the ones that would labour your breath and get you to moan a bit louder the longer he worked you up.
Minho dipped, finding your mouth and kissing you with force, with need. Because all this time, all he’d ever needed was you, he always did. Every day, even when he decided to ignore it.
You held onto his forearm, lightly digging your nails on his flesh, but he didn’t mind. If anything, it reminded him of the fact that he was here, with you, making you feel good, getting to enjoy you once more.
“What about you?” Minho said once he disconnected his mouth from yours for air, leaving a trail of kisses from your cheek to your neck.
He wanted to know. He wouldn’t judge you, you were free to do as you pleased, after all. That was how it worked between you two, although ‘worked’ could be considered a very loose term here. “Has anyone taken care of you these past handful of months?”
You shook your head, inhaling sharply when Minho continued his descent down your torso, attaching his mouth to your chest as his fingers kept going in and out of you, as he kept stimulating that area within your walls that he knew would get you to lose your train of thought.
Of course you hadn’t had sex with anyone else. You never did. You hadn’t in years, just like Minho hadn’t, either.
“I only–Oh!” Your words cut off, replaced by a breathy moan once Minho’s lips found one of your nipples and sucked it into his mouth to flick it with his tongue. He could feel you clenching hard around his fingers, and it almost made him dizzy with how hard it was getting him.
You swallowed, audibly. Your fingers tangled in Minho’s hair, tugging at it as he kept working you up. With his fingers, with his mouth, with his tongue… He loved to coax the most delicious sounds out of your lip, but he wanted to know. He needed to know. So he let go of your nipple, finding your burning gaze as soon as he looked at your face.
“I haven’t”, you whined, just as you sneaked a hand down your body, finding your clit to draw circles on it. “You are the only person I ever want. I’ve been cursed since the very first day I met you…”
The bead of precum that had been slowly growing on the tip of his cock fell onto the bed once your words registered in his brain. And Minho realised then that he, too, had been cursed since the very first day he met you. Cursed to be in love with you for the rest of his days, cursed to have to ignore that fact and live in this arrangement you two had conjured.
Leaning in, he captured your lips again, and the whimper that came out of your mouth as soon as he started to kiss you was enough for him to know just how true it all was.
“Go faster”, Minho mumbled against your lips between kisses, picking up the pace of his fingers. “C’mon, baby, I know you’re close. Rub your precious little clit faster. I need you to come on my fingers”.
“But…” You started to protest, but you sped up your motions anyway, squirming, whining. “It’s too soon”.
“Doesn’t matter”, Minho kept flicking his fingers against your sweet spot, just as you kept pleasuring yourself. “I’ll get you to come again later. We’ve got all night. Please, love…”
He returned his mouth to your nipple, suckling and licking the hardened bud. You were swearing a lot, writhing a lot, and as soon as the most desperate ‘close…’ fell from your lips, he trapped your nipple between his teeth, nibbling softly on the sensitive flesh. Your whole body shook with your release, and your moans mingled with his own groans of satisfaction. He revelled in the way your walls clamped around his fingers, in the squelching sounds produced by the movement of his fingers going in and out of your heat.
Minho let go of your nipple, already knowing it’d be too much for you after your high. Your hand on your clit stopped, but you kept your fingers there, applying pressure to prolong your release just as he kept slowly stimulating your walls.
“Fuck…” You finally moved your hand away from between your legs, and your body slumped on the bed, a clear signal that your high was over.
Pulling his fingers from your core, he slid them up to tease your sensitive clit for a second, chuckling at the jolt of your body with the contact. You looked so absolutely stunning like this. Flushed, panting, almost glowing.
Holding your gaze, he brought his fingers to his mouth, savouring your taste as he licked them clean. You swallowed, and Minho removed his fingers from his mouth, only to bring them to yours. “Open up, sweetheart”.
And you did. Letting him ease his fingers inside your mouth. Your lips wrapped around his digits oh, so perfectly, and your tongue lapped him up just as your eyes closed and your brows pulled together with a muffled moan. “Look at you… Always eager to give a good suck”.
You hummed, nodding.
“Most beautiful girl in the galaxy”, he couldn’t help but say as he looked at you eagerly sucking on his fingers, as he felt your tongue lick his digits.
When he removed his fingers from your mouth, he finally leaned in, pressing a brief kiss to your forehead, and moving to connect your mouths once again right after. He hugged you close, laying on top of you and covering you with as much of his body as he could, enjoying your warmth.
Minho finally let you take a breather, removing his mouth from yours to instead press kisses on your collarbone. You sighed, content, and the way you massaged his scalp as you held him close had heat spreading in his chest and face, probably making him blush like a fool.
“Fuck, I haven’t come that hard in months…” you mumbled, still slightly breathless. Minho chuckled, resting his weight on one elbow to look at your face, smiling softly at you.
“And we’re only just getting started, hm?” Minho kissed you briefly, pulling away from you when he felt your hand wrap around his length, stroking him leisurely. “Nuh-uh. None of that”, he tugged your hand away from his cock, eliciting a pout in response.
“You don’t want me to touch you?”
“Oh, baby…” Minho stretched his arm, blindly reaching for the knob of the drawer of your nightstand. “Want you to touch me so much”, he blindly rummaged through it, quickly finding the box of condoms he knew you kept there. “But I want you so fucking bad right now. Need to be inside you now or I’ll combust”.
You chuckled against his lips when he leaned in to press a quick peck on your lips. Pulling himself from you for a moment, he focused on the box in his hand, dumping the contents on the bed by your head and grabbing a single packet.
There were still as many as he had seen last time he was here with you.
Minho quickly tore the foil packet open and slid the condom on his length, giving himself a couple of tentative pumps to make sure it was all secure. Lining himself with your entrance, he teased you for a moment, lost in your lustful gaze and the way you bit your lip in anticipation, lost in the burning desire inside of him.
He couldn’t help but kiss you again, right as he started to ease his cock between your walls. You moaned, holding him tightly, kissing him desperately. Minho simply grunted, and he started to feel lightheaded just by your warmth around him. You were so intoxicating, and the feeling of you around him was so familiar, and even a bit comforting. As he slid centimetre after centimetre within your core, he was reminded of why he was here.
Because you were warm.
Because you were home.
Once he bottomed out, he propped himself up to look at your face. One of your hands came to rest on his cheek, and your thumb softly caressed his skin. Minho turned his head a bit, just enough to kiss your palm as he started to move. The feel of you around him, warm, tight, wet, made him close his eyes, made him quietly moan as he enjoyed the onslaught of sensations coursing through him.
Your legs wrapped around his waist, and your heel dug on his ass, trying to get him closer to you.
“Harder”, was all you mumbled, and it made him chuckle and open his eyes.
“I’m trying to be careful and you want me to go harder?” Minho kept his rhythm slow, almost teasing you.
“Who’s asking you to be careful?” You pressed your lips to his neck, once again making him flush–although at this point he wasn’t sure if the flush had diminished at all since he came into this room. “It’s been too long, darling. Six months, three weeks, and two days, to be exact. I missed you, and all I want is for you to fucking ruin me, Minho”.
“Shit, what am I gonna do with you…”
Pulling himself away from your embrace, he sat straighter, throwing one of your legs over his shoulder and starting a brutal pace right then and there. The moan of surprise that came out of your mouth as soon as he started moving fueled him, it almost made him lightheaded, making him completely forget where you two were, not caring if people heard you at all.
Minho wasn’t sure where to focus; on your tits bouncing with every single one of his thrusts, on the way your face scrunched up in bliss, on the absolutely divine feeling of you wrapped so snugly around him… All combined had sparks of pleasure racing up and down his spine, had his head spinning.
“Is this what you wanted?” With a tight grip on your thigh, keeping your leg flush to him, making sure to hit that area within your walls that would make you produce all those sounds he wanted to hear.
You nodded, swallowing as you brought a hand to his abdomen, sinking your nails into his flesh. The sting made him grunt, made him throw his head back and snap his hips just a tad faster.
“Look at me”, you mumbled, somehow both commanding and breathless, dragging your nails down his abdomen. As soon as Minho complied, your lascivious gaze almost made him burst. Eye contact was a thing that you always enjoyed, but he wasn’t too sure he’d be able to stand it for long, not at this moment at least. The way you looked at him always made him want to blow, especially so after months of no physical contact.
Minho just chuckled, finding your breast with his free hand to knead the flesh and pinch and roll your nipple between his fingers, eliciting a strained moan from you, making you bite your lip to keep your volume in check. “Are you trying to make me blow?”
As soon as the question came out of his mouth, he felt you clench around him, and he couldn’t help but groan at the sensation. He knew you were doing it on purpose, you always liked to work him up, get him to lose his sanity with the simplest things, and he always fell for it, because it was just so good. “What if I am?”
“You sound… Way too self-assured for someone who’s… Borderline gasping for air, you know?”
The laugh that had started to bubble over from you got caught in your throat, replaced by a string of swear words as Minho moved his hand from your breast to your mound and pressed his thumb on your clit. He might’ve been struggling, but he was determined to get you to struggle as well.
You swallowed, licking your lips as you clearly tried to pull yourself together enough to bicker with him. “But you like it, huh?”
“I fucking do, shit…” He just sped up his fingers, trying to get you to your peak as fast as possible.
Minho really couldn’t tell how much time passed of him pounding into you, rubbing your clit and tugging on your nipples, and he honestly didn’t care, either. This was always the best part, getting to lose himself in the moment, pleasuring you and getting pleasure of his own just by the feel of you there, under him, around him.
Every time you spoke, it brought him increasingly closer to the edge, your ‘just like that, baby’, and your frequent and almost incomprehensible ‘so fucking good’ simultaneously going to his head and his cock, fueling him even further. When you finally came, he couldn’t hold back the groans that came out of his mouth in tandem with your moans. The feeling of you clenching so tightly around him sent a shiver down his spine, and before he knew it, he was leaning into you, kissing you deeply, messily as he chased his own release.
You held him tightly, tiny squeals muffling against his lips as he kept his relentless pace. The sudden sting of your nails trailing down his back was the final push he needed. Minho saw white for a brief moment, groaning and grunting and maybe even moaning at the feel of your teeth sinking on his bottom lip, at the feel of your hands on his back, and your hips flush to his as he filled the condom inside of you–the only physical barrier between his body and yours.
All that pent up tension he’d been harbouring for months and months seemed to quickly evaporate from his muscles as he melted into you, into your kiss and your tight hug. His ears were ringing a bit, but he didn’t mind. All he could care about was the fact that you were right there, pressed completely against him.
After he left one more kiss on your lips, he pulled back just enough to look at you. You smiled at him, a genuine smile that had his heart skipping every other beat inside his ribcage. He returned the gesture, just as you brought your hand to push his now soaked fringe away from his forehead, pulling him down to press a kiss right there, making him chuckle in disbelief.
Once he pulled himself away from you completely, he carefully slid the condom off of his length, tying a knot to make sure nothing spilled out. Taking the discarded foil packed, he placed it on your nightstand and laid the condom on top of it to dispose of later.
As he laid back down, he simply looked at you. You had that look in your eyes, the one you hardly ever showed to the people around you… Vulnerability. Minho always saw it after you two had sex, and he knew that under that vulnerability there was something, many unsaid words that you wouldn’t dare say out loud to him.
“Marry me”, Minho broke the silence, and you huffed an incredulous chuckle.
“Aren’t you tired of asking me to marry you?”
“Are you tired of me asking you to marry me?”
You went silent for a moment, just looking into his eyes. Minho didn’t really need you to respond, he knew what the answer was.
“No, I’m not”, you replied simply, exactly what he knew you would say. “How would we even make a marriage work? We can’t even make a relationship work, Lee Minho”.
“We’ve never tried”.
It was true. Although the connection he shared with you was laps more than physical, you’d never entertained the possibility of a relationship. You hadn’t let him try, and he hadn’t been persistent–sure, he asked you to marry him every other encounter you had, but he never really pushed it. Because he knew it was a complex situation, him being an outlaw, a pirate, a rebel, and you being a smuggler, both probably with hefty bounties on your heads.
“Do you want to try?” you sounded genuinely incredulous, almost as if you had just realised that he was being genuine about it.
Minho propped his head on his elbow, just looking at you. And then it dawned on him. “You’ve never thought I was being serious when I asked you to marry me before, have you?”
You opened and closed your mouth a few times, but ultimately, you shook your head, and he couldn’t help but scoff, dropping his head back on the bed to stare at the ceiling.
“Well, I have been. Every time”.
“But why?” Your voice was barely a whisper, and when he turned to look at you his heart clenched just by seeing tears collect in your eyes. You didn’t let them fall, though.
“Because I love you”, Minho replied simply. “You’re clever, fun, one of the bravest people I’ve ever met, you’ve saved my life numerous times. Whenever I’m with you I feel at peace, and when I’m not, I worry about you, about your health, or I wonder if you’re out there getting yourself in trouble and I’m not there to help… I’ve just… Been in love with you for years, and I can’t keep on going pretending that I’m not. That I’m okay leaving your bed or an inn or you leaving my ship as if I don’t want you to stay”.
Minho could feel the lump in his throat, the way his voice shook slightly, but he didn’t care. He needed to let those thoughts out now, otherwise he wasn’t sure how long it would be until he got this boost of courage again. He honestly hadn’t even realised how much he’d been hurting with this until the words came out of his mouth. He’d spent years pretending this arrangement was fine. It clearly wasn’t. At least not anymore.
You went quiet for a while. A long while. Minho was honestly starting to second-guess ever opening his mouth, and it was just as he was about to stand up from that bed that you finally moved, wrapping one of your arms around his waist and burying your face in his chest.
“I hadn’t thought… I didn’t think…” You were rambling, your voice was muffling against his skin, it was hard to understand anything you were saying with the verbiage that was coming out of your mouth
“Hey… It’s okay”, Minho dragged his hands up and down your spine, hugging you even tighter against him, effectively stopping your ramble. “Breathe…”
You took a deep breath, draping your leg over his hips and pulling him even closer to you, which did ease his worries a bit–at least you weren’t kicking him out of your bed just yet.
“You smell nice…” You mumbled suddenly, rubbing your face on his chest. It immediately made his heart race and his chest flush. Minho wanted to say something, but honestly, the words were stuck in his throat, suddenly feeling bashful, as if he wasn’t naked on your bed after having sex with you.
When you finally pulled away from his chest, you looked him in the eyes, looking incredibly vulnerable. Minho simply brought a hand to your cheek, feeling your heated skin under his palm as his thumb moved back and forth.
“Minho… Every time you go, every time I leave, my heart just hurts so much. And I honestly don’t know how to deal with it. With my feelings, or how we could even make this work”.
“I’m sure we can figure something out… Maybe not today, maybe not even this week, but I’m sure we can”.
You closed your eyes then, heaving a sigh. “You know this isn’t gonna be easy, right?”
“I’m aware”, Minho’s lips quirked up a bit, suddenly amused by your choice of words, and he couldn’t help but bring even more clarity to it. “It hasn’t been easy until now, either, has it?” You gave him a smile as well, opening your eyes again. “I’m willing to take my chances. I… Really want to try”.
Your gaze flickered between his eyes for a bit, and then you were leaning in, pressing a tender, brief kiss on his lips.
“I want that, too”, you whispered, pecking his lips once again, murmuring the most tender ‘I love you’ as you hugged him even tighter, making Minho go impossibly redder, making his heart beat so fast he thought it would leap out of his chest. “If you don’t come back alive from your insane borderline suicide mission, I’ll personally go to the afterlife and kill you again”.
Minho chuckled, pecking your lips. “If you help me then you can make sure I don’t die at all, sweetheart”.
“Huh, so that’s why you’re here now professing your love to me? Trying to seduce me into helping you fulfil your pirate affairs?” Pushing him to lay on his back, you got on top of him, kissing him time and time again. His heart felt as if it was ready to burst, and for a brief moment, it was almost as if everything was okay. As if everything would be fine.
“Need I remind you you brought me into this room yourself?” With a hand on your bum and the other on the back of your neck, Minho simply kept kissing you, uncaring of anything happening outside of these walls.
“Don’t change the topic”.
“Is it working, though? Am I successfully seducing you?”
You scoffed at that, pressing one loud, final kiss on his lips before you shuffled around, sitting on him, straddling his hips, and placing your hands on his chest. “Of course I’m gonna fucking help you, Lee Minho. But not because you’ve got the best stroke game I’ve ever experienced, but because I stupidly believe in your cause”.
“Gods… Keep inflating my ego, please”, Minho couldn’t help but groan. His hands immediately found your hips, kneading the soft flesh there. “I just love it when you do”.
“I know you do”, you grinned, dragging one of your hands all over his flushed chest, up his neck, finally settling it on his cheek.
Minho caught your hand in his, keeping it in place as he turned to press a kiss to your palm. Your gaze shifted then, that playful glint you usually had when you teased him replaced by something else, something akin to love, maybe even hope. And in that moment, he seriously believed everything would be okay. That he’d be able to save his friends, free the slaves, and make it out alive. That he’d finally get to truly be by your side.

Hyunjins rising sign is a head crusher but no matter what he is, I genuinely believe he would need a partner that’s heavily influenced by fire signs. Especially because his North Node is in Leo and Mars in Aries. They would simply match his energy. Especially Leo Sun.
His placements indicates that he loves being praised and put on some sort of a pedestal ( also that’s why I think he has a corruption kink) and Leo’s will do exactly that, but at the same time they won’t be that easy with pursuing because they have some kind of visualisation when it comes to their partners. Which would match his Mars sing thats not into easy play. Leo’s are ruled by the Sun and they themselves live in some sort of a spotlight but they will also bring their partner into one too. And they expect the same treatment which also suits Hyunjin, because of his idealistic portrayal of who he wants and that is someone he can, to put it simply, show off in a way.
His Mars sign is also super prideful and he would be satisfied if he could date someone that others want, but they want him only. A Leo, especially Leo woman, would fall perfectly into his obsessions.
But even tho he fits Pieces energy, he still gives off Aries. He’s extremely dominant, larger than life and extremely comfortable in his skin. The biggest indicator would be the way he spoke about the restraints and the whole concept of Red Lights ( he wrote that song ffs). He’s prideful and confident so fucking much, that even speaking about subject that’s taboo in kpop comes easy for him. Pieces would hold back. Aries don’t give a fuck who hears or sees.
Ooooh okay so first of all,
Thank you for entering into my chat box with this analysis because it's very valid and well thought out.
Hyunjin is for me THE only idol where his birth time is extremely significant to know because he's on the balancing scales right now and his rising time will let us know whether he's Pisces or Aries territory.
Your point about the corruption kink has intrigued me because if he does have a corruption kink because he loves the pedestal you would put him on- then that would match Chan's Libra energy and then it seems Hyunjin might be an Aries Sun and a LIbra Moon after all.
Leo's would be a great sign for him regardless because of his north node but also if he is a Leo rising-which he could be if he was born earlier in the day.
The only point I have that's different is 'aries don't give a fuck who hears or sees' because as an aries stellium myself-let me tell you...
We absolutely do give a fuck who sees or hears- we're very sensitive creatures BUT we don't show it unless we think the vulnerability is worth it.
So I think Hyunjin had a lot of anxiety with expressing himself with red lights but I think his ego and chris's support helped him moved past it.
Plus- Hyunjin and his Pisces Venus means (and this is just my opinion as an Aries Sun with his Pisces Venus) he could favour HIS stans over the opinions of Stays in general.
So, I wouldn't be surprised if his thinking was also...
'I'll get judged with Red Lights but that's okay because I know MY personal fans will support me'.
To which they absolutely did- the Hyunjin stans completely had his back and supported him with Red Lights.

SEO SEJUN, better known simply as SEJUN, is a fictional idol soloist under C ENTERTAINMENT. He got his start in the entertainment industry as a participant in fictional survival show LAST ACT where he placed twenty-third in the finale. While not good enough to win, it was good enough for a spot in temporary project boy group 1V1, of which he was a member for fifteen months. Shortly after 1V1’s disbandment, he signed to C Entertainment and made his debut as a soloist on January 15, 2023.
During his time on Last Act, he was an unpopular pick, given his lack of screen time that supposedly stemmed from his inability to be entertaining. This changed the moment he debuted as 1V1’s main rapper. His relationships with fellow members ALEX and JINWOO, alongside his uncensored, unfiltered, and generally unhinged personality immediately propelled him into becoming one of the group's most popular members.
Since making his solo debut, he’s enjoyed a considerable amount of fame and freedom. His debut album was well-received by 1V1 fans, as he continued to build off of their video game concept. Although his variety show prowess has declined slightly without the other 1V1 members, he’s made up for it in his frequent social media interactions with them and his semi-frequent Twitch streams with Alex.

BIOGRAPHY.
Sejun was born on June 28, 2002, in Ilsan, South Korea. Growing up, he was raised less by his parents, both of whom worked long hours at their corporate jobs, and more by his maternal grandparents and his unrestricted access to the Internet. As he entered high school, he was immediately overwhelmed by the pressure of figuring out his future and picking something to do for the rest of his life. His greatest interests were Overwatch and writing, the first of which he was not good enough at to be a pro, and the second of which he saw firsthand was not sustainable on its own, given his father’s own webtoon writer career in the down time of his office job.
Instead, Sejun tried his hand at developing other interests. Part of this included attending an open audition for Starship Entertainment where he surprised everyone, including himself, by passing. He had little interest in becoming an idol and more interest in being a songwriter or producer. His wishes were ignored and he ended up representing the company on Last Act. The surprises continued when he enjoyed his time on the show, and then immensely enjoyed his time in 1V1.
He has yet to enjoy his solo career as much as he enjoyed 1V1.

⌦ Voice 001
Hmm...
Should I just write it? Ah… what am I doing? This is so awkward— it’s okay! It's all good. I can do this!
Well… maybe not. But I have to anyway. Why did I decide to record it first again? Stupid. The assignment is written.
Hyunjin— just record what you want to say so you can rewrite it easier later.
Test, test… God, I'm getting cold sweat from this. Why am I so nervous?
So… okay. Psychology 325, Project— what? Did I just blank out from that? Ah, whatever.
Let’s just start over.

Psychology 325, Project “Words I Want To Say”. Entry by Hwang Hyunjin.
… Okay that’s funny. I didn’t need to say that. I’m just gonna rewrite this on a document file anyways.
But words I want to say… to whom? Damn it— I forgot to pick one. Just use whatever comes to mind.
Should I talk about Y/N?
This— this won’t be sent out right? The worst that could actually happen is just Professor Lee reading about it.
Yeah, that’ll do. Let me start over—
Tumblr media
⌦ Voice 003
Hi, Y/N. This is Hyunjin. I know I’m not actually talking to you right now, or will you ever read this— well, unless my psych professor betrays me and forwards the final paper to you. Hopefully not.
… Do I include that in the final version? Nevermind, leave that to future me.
As I was saying, what I’m doing right now is for a psych class assignment. Professor Lee said to write a letter full of words we want to say. He didn’t exactly elaborate about what or whom, but I think that’s the point. You were the first thing that I thought of, so here are the things I want to say to you.
And there’s a lot more than you think—
Tumblr media
⌦ Voice 004
Sorry about that. I was holding my phone and I guess the nerves got to me. I know you know I dropped it. You always did say I dropped things often.
And you were right. The other guys never pointed it out though. Maybe they haven’t noticed like you do… I guess that’s what made us best friends.
Best friends, huh.
Is— is that all in the past now? Cause I still can't believe it…
… It was only like yesterday that we were still heading out to get something to eat whenever all our classes ended for the day. How many years was that our routine? From what I remember, we started it in 4th grade.
Wow… 4th grade. Time flies so fast, huh? We used to be so small— and now we’re in college. Do you remember back when we first entered high school? You cried right after we got home because you didn’t want to grow up yet. But look at you now…
I’m proud of you.
Did I tell you that? I don’t think I ever did. And I regret that so much. More than you will ever know— more than you'll never know.
Y/N, what happened to us?

Ah… I got too emotional. I think I get why we had to do this now or maybe it’s just me. How could I not feel anything?
… After all, it’s you.
You know, there was never a time in my life where I imagined myself to be without you. From the moment I was born, you were already right there beside me. I always used to think that just like our moms, we’d be by each other's sides until we grew old.
And, well, looking at our current situation, it didn’t quite work out like I wanted after all.
I hate it. So much. How I’m even getting through the days— I don’t know myself.
It’s torture for me, Y/N. I miss you so much, and I can’t believe it’s my fault.
… Are you feeling the same way?
Tch. Probably not. You have that stupid boyfriend of yours. What? I know I’m right. You’re probably out there having a cute little date with— what’s his name? Han Ji whatever.
That’s what I always heard from you anyways. Ji this, Ji that. He’s not even my friend, and yet I hear his nickname more than I hear mine. Do you even remember it? You used to call me Hyune by the way. Just reminding you.
Now it’s just Hyunjin.
I’m sorry. I know this is so unfair to Ji whatever. He never did anything to me, and yet all I do is blame him for everything.
I don’t even know why—

For fucks sake, why do I keep getting cut off? My phone battery died. I didn’t even notice because I was so focused on this recording thing.
But, I guess it was a good thing for it to die on me at that moment. I was starting to not think straight again. The last time that happened, we— yeah. This short break gave me some time to think about what I really wanted to say while waiting for my phone to have enough battery.
In the last message, I was going to say that I didn’t know why I was blaming Jisung so much— right, I remembered his name now. Could you at least be proud of me for this?
… Thank you. I can’t hear you right now, but I know you’d acknowledge my efforts. Those years of us being friends aren’t for nothing to me, you know? I think I can say that I know you well enough. You’re the same for me.
Actually— I think you might know me better than I do myself. And while I know other people would find that annoying, the thought was quite comforting to me. That someone cared enough for me to know me more than I did.
Yeah. That.
You were my comfort, Y/N.
Always there for me, even in times where you really didn’t need to. Of course— I did that for you as well. Anything and anytime you want me to. I’d do it if it was for you. To me, you were my other half. And I loved it.
I loved you.
That was why I blamed Jisung for breaking us apart.
He— he was never in the future I created for ourselves. And I know that’s where it went all wrong. I really should’ve…considered chances of us having significant others. But I didn’t— no.
I refused to.
Just the mere thought horrified me beyond belief. I wanted us to be… well, only us. I was selfish. An absolute fool. A madman in love.
I had my own wonderland inside of my head. And I kept the thought of you as a prisoner.
It was ridiculous Y/N. I can’t even believe I did that.
But I’ve changed. And still changing. Truthfully, I’m not saying that for you to come back to me. I’m saying this for myself. Hwang Hyunjin has thought of his actions and its consequences, and is now working on changing himself for the better.
I— I don’t care if you don’t believe me because I’m not pleading with you to. I’m not even gonna ask for your forgiveness, because I know it’s not my right to tell you how to feel.
But I want to at least explain. For me, and for your peace of mind.

Should I start from when I realized I liked you? Yeah, then I’ll just progress from there.
Hmm…I think it was middle school. 2nd Year. It was that day when you were rejected by the first crush you ever confessed to. I remember how sad you were and had the instant thought to beat up that person. I never did it by the way, in case you’re worried. I may have jammed his locker a bit, but that’s about it. You wouldn’t want me in trouble.
Going back to that event, I honestly thought I was thinking about it from a brotherly light. It didn’t last long though— cause I also told myself that I could be a much better boyfriend to you. Brotherly light my ass, what kind of brother wants to date their sibling?
… You know what, don’t answer that. At all.
Anyways— that was when I realized I did like you in that way. As to when I exactly started liking you…I don’t know. Maybe it was just something that developed over the years.
By now I think you’re wondering why I never confessed to you, am I right?
Uh… It’s quite an underwhelming answer actually. As cliche as it is, I didn’t want to ruin our friendship. I did want to try, but it was so obvious you didn’t see me in that light
Oh God, now my previous actions just sound silly now. How did that not stop me from making some kind of imaginary world? Maybe I do need help. Changbin’s good at giving advice, maybe I can talk to him.
You do know Changbin right? He’s friends with Jisung as well. It’s funny how we have multiple mutual friends but we’ve barely interacted. I guess that’s just how the world works sometimes.
Speaking of Jisung— it’s time to talk about that isn’t it?
That night.
… I’ll tell you my point of view. And— I hope it can give you clarity.
I remember you coming over to my apartment after your last class. Normally, we would be getting food by then, but I had a massive headache that morning and decided to skip everything I had that day. Granted, my headache was already long gone by the time you arrived… So that really doesn’t excuse what I did next.
I was so glad to see you. After being sick, all I wanted was to be with you. To talk to you about your day…
Yet, all I heard was about Jisung.
And maybe it was valid. He was your day, the current sun in your life. If I could love you, why couldn’t you be in love with him too?
That’s what I think of now. Back then— not so much.
Jisung was definitely a sun. For you, it was positive. He lit up your days, and became the light you had in dark times. But for me… it was nothing short of negative.
He was a source of light I had to constantly fight over. A burning sensation that left me to suffer with the pain.
If he was the sun, I was the moon.
So close, yet still the one being pushed aside.
Hearing about him made me so mad. Each mention of him clawed at my heart and released my deepest insecurities. And that’s why I ended up yelling at you that night.
I just wanted it to stop hurting.
That, maybe if I did that, you’d finally see me too. Maybe you’d see how much pain I was in before I realized it myself, just like before.
But instead— I ended up hurting you.
I said too many unnecessary things. Words that were formed from my hatred and boiled from the heat of the moment. And at some point, I ended up hating you too.
Hating you was never an option I considered. You were an angel to me. And I was that human you liked enough to be blessed by your presence.
Now, I’ve come to the realization that you were human too. Just like me. That I was once again putting you on a pedestal for myself.
Who knows, maybe my love for you isn’t even love— though that might just completely break me for good.
I don’t hate you. I know that’s the last thing I told you before we stopped all contact, but I don’t.
At that moment, I guess part of me did resent you for hurting me. But it wasn’t just your fault. I also fanned the flame that would roast me alive on my own accord.
That’s why I’m so sorry for putting all the blame on you. I now understand the barrier you put between us. I'm the best friend, but he's your significant other. That being said, I'm sorry for all I’ve said about Jisung too.
As much as I hate to admit it, he’s a great guy from what I’ve heard.
That’s all I have to say, really. I do feel a lot lighter now having done this. I know— hmm. I was planning to not send this to you at all, but maybe I will now.
You deserve closure as well.
I hope you live your life to the fullest. I’ll try to do that now too. Maybe one day our paths will cross again. By then, let’s be better versions of ourselves, yeah?
Thank you, Y/N.
For everything.
These are the words I want to say to you.

<- Chapter One - Chapter Three ->
THE BRIGHT TROPICAL sun was bright enough to blind even in the early morning.  Seol pulled a pair of sunglasses out of her bag and slipped them over her eyes.  The warm salty air blew through her hair, whipping it all around her head and across her face.  She tried not to think about the knots that she would have to brush out later at the hotel.  Seol decided that the concept for an open air Jeep with no doors, top, or windows was decent, but in practice she wished they’d never been built.
Yoon Dayeon and her fiance Kim Minho sat in the front seats, laughing and smiling together about something Seol couldn’t hear.  She tried to ignore the happy and loving looks that the couple exchanged, but she figured she would have to get used to them at some point.  Seol tried to focus on the glistening ocean, the clear blue sky, and the warm summer air.  Maybe Eun Bi was right and being in a beautiful place like this would get the creative juices flowing.
She took a few deep breaths, letting the salty air permeate her senses.  Blazing rays of sun seeped through her clothes and caressed her skin.  The ocean glistened, sparkling like diamonds under the summer sun.  Seol wondered if she could write a poem about the ocean or the palm trees or the bold blue sky.  However, nothing came to mind.  No words, no comparisons, nothing.
Nothing yet.  Seol tried to remind herself.  It’s not like she expected to get flooded with inspiration in her first hour on the island.
“Seol-ah.”  Dayeon turned around in her seat to call for her cousin over the wind.  “I hope you brought a swimsuit!  Our first stop after the rehearsal is the pool!”
“Did you really think I would come to Jeju Island without a swimsuit?”  Seol grinned.  “I brought my cute red one, too.  Surely there’s a cute guy somewhere out there for me.”
“That’s the spirit!”  Dayeon exclaimed, throwing her hands up.  “It’s about time you got out of your funk after that asshole you were dating.”
“Honestly, he wasn’t worth my time and energy anyway.”
“Didn’t you write a collection of poems about him?”  Dayeon tilted her head forward to peer at Seol over the rims of her sunglasses.
“Look, they weren’t all about him.”  Seol crossed her arms.  “Besides, I had to have my catharsis somehow and it’s not like my creative outlet is a secret.”
“Alright, alright.  Fair enough.  Did you write the lightning poem about him?”
“No!  He doesn’t deserve that kind of brilliance.”  Seol scoffed at the accusation.
“Damn right!”  This cry came from both Dayeon and Minho.
“What did I do to deserve you guys?”  Seol laughed.
“You were literally born into my family.  Now don’t worry, maybe this weekend we can hook you up for someone a million times better than that asshole.  Minho has a bunch of his friends coming for the weekend.”
“Oh, what about Changbin?”  Minho chimed in.
“Maybe... but I think he’s too... oh, I dunno...”  Dayeon hummed.
“Loud?  I agree.”  Minho shook his head.  “In any case, a bunch of them will be at the rehearsal since my bachelor party is right after.  I can introduce you, if you like.”  Minho offered, shooting her a prince-like smile through the rearview mirror.
“I appreciate it, but that’s not really my priority for the weekend anyway.  My publisher is cracking down on me to write a novel instead of just poetry so I’m going to try and develop that.  With any luck, I’ll be too distracted to care about men.”  Seol waved off the offer.
“If you insist.  Maybe you’ll change your mind once you see the wedding hall.  It’s absolutely gorgeous!”  Dayeon clasped her hands together and sighed dreamily.  “It’s everything I’ve ever dreamed of.”
“I hope it lives up to the hype.”  A laugh burst from Seol.  “You’ve only been talking about it for months.”
“It will, I swear!  This is going to be the perfect wedding.  I have the man of my dreams, a show stopping dress, my favorite cousin by my side,”  Dayeon threw in a wink for Seol’s benefit.  “And the most delicious dinner you’ve ever had in your life.  Honestly, I don’t know how this could get any better.”
“Me, either.”  Seol shook her head, turning to watch the glittering ocean.  There were no storm clouds on the horizon, allowing the spotless blue sky to extend as far as the eye could see.
The road snaked and curved along the coastline, gradually ascending upwards towards a dramatically modern island resort.  The white sandstone and glass exterior reminded Seol of a Grecian villa.  Palm trees and vibrant flowers decorated the entrance.  They surrounded a large silver sculpture with an obscure shape, somewhere between a globe and a mountain.  Seol peered at it as the Jeep wound up the hill and around the roundabout towards the parking lot.  The sun’s reflection in the windows blinded Seol, even with the sunglasses and she winced away from the light.  She reached for her purse to dig for her chapstick as an excuse to hide from the light.
From the driver's seat, Minho slowed the car and tapped on the horn.  He called excitedly to someone in the parking lot and Dayeon joined in when she saw who it was.  Seol glanced up from her bag but the person on the sidewalk was wearing a hat and looking away.
“Hyung!”  Minho called again, stopping the car.
“Oh?  Minho-ah!  Did you and Dayeon go on a pre-wedding date?”  The man on the sidewalk responded with a deep, well rounded voice.  Seol glanced up instinctively, but her chapstick had migrated to the bottom of the bag.
“No, we had to pick up Dayeon’s cousin from the airport.”  Minho explained.
“The one who’s going to be reading at the ceremony?”
“The very one.”
“I’m looking forward to hearing which poem you’ve chosen!  Look, I’ll see you inside, okay?  I want to put my bags away.”
“Great!  See you in a few minutes at the rehearsal!”  Minho called.
He let off the brakes and continued into the parking lot.  It didn’t take him long to find a spot and by then Seol gave up looking for her chapstick.  She hoped to maybe buy some in the hotel if they had an in-house convenience store.  Minho got out of the car first, making his way around and helping Dayeon out of the car.  He waited patiently for Seol to gather herself before offering her his hand.  Seol grinned at Dayeon, who watched Minho with hearts sparkling in her eyes.  On one hand, the romance between them was disgusting, but on the other Seol had to admit that Minho was a gentleman.  Once Seol was out of the car, Minho went back in for her bags.  He refused to let her take them from him.
“Who did we just stop for?”  Seol asked as the trio made their way into the building.
“Ah, that was one of Minho’s friends from university.  They were in different departments, but took a bunch of the same classes.”  Dayeon linked her arm with Seol’s as they walked.
“We’ve been best friends since college.  So, of course he had to come.”  Minho continued.  “I just barely managed to get him down here, though.  He’s had a thing about beaches recently.”
“A thing about beaches?”  Seol quirked an eyebrow at him.
“Yeah, I dunno.  Something about how they bring him terrible luck.  He hasn’t told me much more than that.  But, Dayeon is a genius and can convince anyone to do anything and talked him into coming down.  He knew he had to be here anyway.”
“It would have been his loss.  That ocean is beautiful.”  Seol determined.
“I agree completely.”  Dayeon beamed, turning her face towards the sun and sighing contentedly.
“Are you guys staying in Jeju for the honeymoon?”
“For a while.  We’re spending a week here before flying out to Greece and touring the country.”
“I’m so jealous!  I’ve always wanted to visit Greece.”
“The next time we go on a trip, we’ll bring you along.”  Minho promised, falling back to let the girls enter the hotel first.
“So I can be a third wheel the whole time?  What an irresistible offer.”  Seol laughed, only half joking.
“Oh, come on.  You wouldn’t be alone!”  Dayeon exclaimed.  “You’d have your three bags of notebooks with you!”
“You’re the worst.”
Dayeon only laughed, unfazed by her cousin’s teasing.  The three of them made their way to the desk where Minho helped Seol check in.  Most of the hotel bookings for the wedding were made under a group reservation.  Surely there was a discount involved, but Seol didn’t know anything about that.  Not officially, anyway.  Dayeon and Minho kept insisting that Seol didn’t owe them anything for the room but Seol was determined to eventually pay them back for it.  Finally, Minho turned around and handed Seol her room keys.
“You’ll be on the third floor.  I’ll walk you up.”  Minho gestured towards the hallway labeled Elevators.  “Jagiya, I’ll meet you in the wedding hall, alright?”
“Of course.  See you soon.”  Dayeon smiled warmly, touching Minho’s shoulder gently.  “Seol-ah, when you come down make sure you’re dressed cute.  Some of Minho’s friends will be there and you want to make a good impression.”
Dayeon winked before setting off in a different direction.  Minho led Seol to the elevators, heaving her backpack higher on his shoulder as they walked.  Seol knew that her backpack was heavy, seeing as it contained mostly books and her laptop.  She didn’t expect to get too much time to do some writing, but she figured that if there was nothing to do after the reception then she should have her computer just in case.
“Are you sure I can’t carry at least my backpack?”  Seol offered as they waited.
“Oh, I’m sure.  It’s not that heavy.”  Minho shot her a dazzling grin.  Dayeon sure did win the jackpot.  Seol knew for a fact that her backpack was very heavy.
“Well, thank you.  I appreciate the help.”
“Anytime.  Ah, I asked if they would be able to take your dress and prepare it for tomorrow.  Someone will be meeting you at your room in a few minutes to take it so they can press or steam it or whatever they do.”  The elevator doors opened and Minho waited for Seol to get on before following her.
“Dayeon told you about my dilemma yesterday?”  Seol guessed.
“You were on speaker.”
“I am... not surprised.”
The walk to Seol’s room was quick but Wooojin kept her entertained regardless.  He talked about the wedding planning and the nerves building up in his stomach.  Sure, he was excited to be marrying Dayeon, but the overall event was still nerve-wrecking.  Seol wished she could relate.  The more he talked about the wedding and his excitement about marrying Dayeon, the tighter she had to grip the bag of her purse.  She swallowed thickly, trying to wash the jealousy down.
Ever since Dayeon met Minho six years ago, their love had been fairytale perfect.  Minho pursued her diligently before asking her on a date.  Dayeon called Seol after their first date to gush about how much of a gentleman he’d been the whole time and how he was definitely getting a second date.  From the moment Seol met Minho, she knew that he and Dayeon would be planning a wedding in no time.  While there had been some postponements due to illness in the family and a year-long business trip, the relationship persevered.  Now, Seol’s cousin was marrying an actual Disney prince.  Seol would be lying if she said that she didn’t want a prince herself.  Dayeon could have Minho.  Seol wanted one of her own.
They reached Seol’s room and Minho stepped inside just to drop her backpack on the bed and leave the roller case at the end.  When he finally stepped out and the door closed behind him, Seol groaned deeply and fell back on the bed.  The plush mattress and cotton blankets sucked her in.  Her eyes slid shut and she considered letting herself drift off.  Traveling always made her tired and since she had to catch an early flight to make it on time she had to wake up before the sun rose.  Seol determined that waking up before eight or nine in the morning was not for her and should be outlawed.
Her consciousness was just beginning to drift when a loud knock on the door shocked her awake.  Seol groaned, throwing her arm over her eyes and wishing whoever was outside would go away.  The loud knock came again.  Seol heaved herself off of the bed and moved to the door.
“I’m here to take your dress to be pressed.”  The hotel employee stated almost robotically.
“Oh, right.  Um, let me get it.”  Seol folded the lock in the door so it wouldn’t shut and hurried back into the room.
Seol unzipped her bag and pulled out her dress in its plastic protective bag.  Through the clear plastic, she could see that it hadn’t fared the trip as well as she’d hoped.  It didn’t look awful, but it could use a good press.  She carried it bridal style back to the door and passed it off to the employee.
“It’ll only take a couple of hours.”  The employee smiled politely.
“Oh, I’ll be out and about for a bachelorette party.  Will you put it back in my room?”
“Yes, we can do that.”
“Perfect, thank you!”
The employee started down the hall and Seol let the heavy door slide closed behind her.  Seol made her way back into her room to rummage through her bag to find something to wear.  Apparently her jeans and simple t-shirt wasn’t ‘cute’ enough for the rehearsal, so she had to find something else.  Unlike Dayeon, Seol didn’t make it a habit to bring enough clothes to change three times a day when she went on a trip so she wasn’t sure if she had anything to wear to the reception that would meet Dayeon’s expectations.  As she rummaged around, Seol found her notebook with the pencil tied to the ring.  She took a deep breath, not remembering when she’d packed it.  Seol lifted it out of the bag and flipped it open to the last page with any words written on it.
“I think I need to see you again... there’s something I need to say... Even though we know nothing about each other.”  Seol’s eyes scanned the next line.  “You and I... after that night, I began feeling things I’ve never felt before and I’m scared.  I don’t know the right thing to do and I want to talk to you.  I think you would know what to do.”
Seol didn’t have the confidence to say that he would know what to do.  She didn’t even have the confidence to say that he would have wanted to talk to her, or given her a second look once she told him what was on her mind.  Luckily for her, the problem had been fleeting and she hadn’t needed to talk to him, to Hyunjin.  The fear and the urge to reach out to him had only lasted a couple of days but it was enough to send her spiraling.  A few of those poems ended up in her book, but luckily no one took much notice of them.  Seol didn’t want to think about it.  Not today.
Thankfully, she found the sundress she’d brought to layer over her swimsuit and decided it was better than nothing.  She changed into her red bikini to layer under it before pulling the red cotton sundress over her head.  Seol toed on the pair of red flats she brought with her and checked her appearance in the mirror.  She grabbed her hair brush immediately to run it through her tangled strands, not realizing how badly the wind had messed it up.  The pull of the brush against the knots pinched her scalp and she winced.  The ride in the open air Jeep did a number to her hair and it took her several painful minutes to get it back to a healthy level.  When she checked her appearance in the mirror once more, she was glad to see that the simple makeup she’d applied at the airport had stayed.
She grabbed a small plastic bag out of the front pocket of her backpack and pulled out a pair of earrings and slipped them into her piercings.  Seol hadn’t expected to ever wear the seashell earrings again, but Jeju Island seemed to be the most appropriate place.  She almost hadn’t brought them.  She’d stared at them for several minutes that morning as she put her wedding jewelry in the plastic bag.  Seol couldn’t describe why she needed to bring them, she just knew that she didn’t want to leave them there.
For a moment, Seol paused, caught by her reflection in the full-length mirror hung on the wall.  She took in her appearance with her long hair, crystal earrings, and red dress.  She took a few deep breaths, letting her eyes fall on her own face, peering closer at her makeup to make sure it looked okay.  Her eyes dropped lower across her chest to her stomach and a hand lifted instinctively to cover it.  Her eyes slipped closed for a moment as she pushed down the emptiness.  A chasm had ripped itself open inside her months ago and no matter how hard she tried, the dull ache within her refused to subside.  No matter how much she wrote or how much she drank, the hurt remained.
“Stop looking.”  His voice filled her ears and he appeared over her shoulder.
She met his eyes through the mirror, ripping her attention away from her frazzled and unkempt appearance.  Her face and eyes were red and puffy from crying and from sitting outside in the cold for so long.  Her dress wrinkled where she’d gripped the skirt in lieu of gripping the neck of her ex.  Seol’s hair looked windswept and angry.  She’d only wanted to check and see if her nose was bleeding after something wet slipped out of it, but she got caught up in looking at her sorry appearance.  Heartbreak looked ugly on her.  Luckily, her nose wasn’t bleeding.
Hyunjin’s large, warm hands covered her shoulders and he slowly turned her around.  He smiled at her softly and without pity.  She wondered why he didn’t pity her when the person she cared about had betrayed her so horribly.  Seol knew she deserved his pity but she didn’t want it.  Perhaps he saw that in her and was determined to be someone she needed instead.  And she did need him.  When she faced him, he lifted one of his hands to gently fix a small lipstick smudge on the corner of her mouth and he smiled when he completed his task.  Hyunjin’s plush lips looked inviting and Seol fought the urge to claim them for herself.
“You don’t need to see what he did to you.”  Hyunjin’s soft voice filled her heart and helped the shaking within her subside.  She hadn’t realized the extent of her anxiety until he started whispering.  “Seol-ah, don’t look at yourself anymore tonight.  Instead, look at me.  Just me.”
“I’m not sad anymore.”  She declared.  Seol wasn’t sure if it was the truth.  “I just want to forget.  I don’t like that he’s the last person who touched me.”
“He doesn’t have to be.”
Seol blinked up at him in surprise at his words, wondering if he was insinuating what she thought he was.  Hyunjin’s gaze was soft and innocent, and for a moment Seol wondered if she was even physically capable of placing her hands on another man, much less her mouth.  For just long enough, she’d dedicated herself to someone else.  She didn’t think she would need to touch or kiss other men.  But Hyunjin... Hyunjin looked too beautiful to pass up.
“Will you...”  Seol started but the words died in her throat.
“Yes?”
“Will you hold me?”
Seol shook her head and was almost tempted to wave her hand above her head to help the thought bubble dissipate.  She couldn’t believe how desperate she’d been that night.  She could believe how desperate she felt all the time.  Over the course of one night, her ex boyfriend had torn her down and Hyunjin had built her back up.  Something about him scared her, and she did what she always does when things get hard.  When things with Hyunjin began to feel real, she ran.  How could she let herself get hurt twice in a row?  She wondered if leaving Hyunjin there had hurt more than healed.
She couldn’t stay here a moment longer.
Seol grabbed her small purse out of her backpack and decided she was finally ready to head out for the evening.  She grabbed her hotel key from her discarded jeans and set out into the hallway.  The long hallway was deserted but her room was close enough to the elevators.  She hoped that the inner workings of the hotel were simple enough and she wouldn’t get lost looking for the reception hall.  When in doubt, she knew Dayeon and Minho would always be there to save her.
The elevator opened up only for Seol to come face to face with the man she’d only just parted ways with.  Minho smiled brightly when he saw her and stepped aside to let her out.  She waited for him to get on, but instead he gestured for her to follow him through the lobby.
“You’re not going up?”  Seol trailed behind him.
“No, Dayeon sent me after you.  We’re about to get started.”  Minho explained.  Seol followed him through the lobby and down another hallway.  The ceiling vaulted overhead and modern chandeliers hung from above.   Dayeon sure had good taste.
“Ah.  I’m sorry I took too long!”
“No, no.  I’m sure you’re tired from traveling.”
“Yeah, I’m exhausted.  I’m going to need to sleep for a thousand years after this weekend.”
“Tell me about it.”  Minho chuckled.  “I’m already tired thinking about it all.  But luckily, I think Dayeon and I will only be awake on Sunday to say goodbye to everyone and then we’ll be back to bed.”
“Oh yeah, I can’t even imagine how tired you guys are going to be after all this.”  Seol shook her head.  “I can’t say I envy you.”  Much.
“This wedding has been crazy to plan, to say the least.  Luckily, Dayeon is pretty easy to make happy.  It feels unreal that by tomorrow we’ll actually be married.”  Minho grinned.
“Yeah, it feels unreal to me, too.  You have to bring me some souvenirs and stuff when you go traveling!”  Seol nudged Minho’s arm playfully and he laughed.
“Of course I will!  Hopefully you’ll get married soon and can go on a nice honeymoon.”
“Ugh, that’s not likely.  I don’t think I’ll ever get married at this rate, but it’s fun to daydream about.”  Seol shrugged.
“Hey, maybe you could write about that?  I mean, doesn’t poetry come from desire?”
“Sure, some of my poetry does, as you’ve seen.  However, poetry comes from all different emotions, not just desire.  I don’t think I have enough desire left in me to write another collection like that.”
“True.  Actually, one of my favorite poems you wrote is... oh, what’s the name?”  Minho mused, pausing outside the doors to the wedding hall.  The doors were propped open and the low murmur of various wedding guests and family members filled the air.  Minho stopped conveniently out of sight so no one would see them yet.  “It was in your last book, but I think it was about the loss of opportunity.”
“The chance to learn was lost before the day ended in the east...”  Seol recited the line and Minho perked up immediately.
“My skin and my heart, like ice as the sky loses it’s sun... Night comes inevitably, to say the least.”  Minho continued.  “Exactly that one!  It was short, but impactful.”
“Well, thank you!”
“Do you mind if I ask... what happened?”
“Oh.  I don’t know, I barely remember writing it.”  Seol laughed nervously, gripping the strap on her purse for some kind of stability.  “We should probably go in before Dayeon sends someone after us.”
Without waiting for Minho to lead, Seol stepped forward and into the vast room.  The vaulted ceiling rose two stories up, making her a little dizzy.  A large, intricate crystal chandelier hung in the middle of the room, creating small refracted rainbows on the walls.  A large raised, white-vinyl aisle sat in the middle of the room leading to the raised platform where the altar stood.  Bouquets of white and pink flowers lined the aisle and served as centerpieces on the several dozen round tables set up around the room.  The tables were done up with white, pink, and gold tablecloths and decorated with white and pink china, gold candles, and flowers.  The chairs were draped with white cloth and held in place by golden bows.  Seol’s eyes widened as she did some mental math to see how many chairs there were in the room.  Did Dayeon really expect this many people to show up to the wedding?  Seol didn’t even know that many people, much less invite them to her hypothetical at best wedding.
Dayeon herself stood at the end of the aisle with a handful of hotel staff who were listening intently as the bride gave them instructions.  A few of the girls Seol recognized as Dayeons friends from school had taken over one of the tables closest to the altar, talking among themselves and waiting for the rehearsal to start.  A handful of guys dressed nicely sat or stood around a table near the girls, also passing the time.  Dayeon sent the hotel staff away and turned to see Minho and Seol at the door.  She waved them over and turned to talk to the officiant, one of Minho’s uncles.
Seol hesitated at the steps leading up to the aisle, not wanting any attention drawn to her.  Today was supposed to be all about Dayeon and Minho anyway.  Luckily, Minho ascended the stairs ahead of her and stared down the aisle, leaving Seol to trail behind him.  He must have sensed her nerves.  Minho seemed to vibrate as he made his way towards his future wife.  Despite the role reversal, the air buzzed with excitement as the bride and the groom got closer to each other.  The girls at the table sat up and took notice when Minho entered the room, sighing as the real life Disney prince gazed upon his princess as if there was nowhere else he would rather be.  In fact, there was no place he would rather be.
Against her will, a few lines of prose invaded Seol’s head as she watched Dayeon and Minho embrace as if they’d been apart for days rather than a few minutes.  Minho smiled at her like she was his entire world and Seol turned her attention to her feet to ignore the pang of jealousy that overtook her.  Dayeon’s friends all sighed happily as they watched their friend receive the love she deserved.  For a moment, Seol wished she would have brought one of her notebooks downstairs.
“Seol-ah!”  Dayeon called suddenly, pulling away from Minho to pull her further onto the platform.  “This dress is so cute, when did you get it?”
“A couple months ago?  I don’t know.”  She laughed sheepishly, tugging at the hem and trying to force it to sit a little closer to her knees.
“Well, it’s perfect!  I love it.  Alright, since everyone is here let’s get started.  Oh, girls!”  Dayeon grabbed Seol’s hand and pulled her to the edge of the aisle and gestured to the table where a handful of girls sat around one of the tables.  “This is my cousin, Yoon Seol who will be reading the poem at the ceremony!  Seol-ah, did you bring it with you?”
“Ah, I forgot my book upstairs but I have it.”  Seol winced, remembering seeing the book in her backpack.
“That’s okay, you don’t need to read the whole thing right now.”  Dayeon waved her off.  The girls around the table greeted Seol politely and she responded to the greeting with a shallow bow of her own.  “Seol will be joining us for the bachelorette party, too!  She’s been like my sister since she was born, so be sure to treat her well, okay!”
The girls responded with a chorus of agreement and Dayeon linked her arm with Seol and led her back over to where Minho and his uncle stood.  Seol swallowed thickly and her hands shook as she glanced out over the large room.  She knew that Dayeon wanted a large wedding, but Seol hadn’t been this prepared to read her work in front of this many people.  For a moment, Seol almost wished she would have brought her book so she could practice in front of people.  However, the urge to scurry away into a tiny hole with a fluffy blanket overpowered that want.  Why had she agreed to do this again?
“After the rehearsal I’ll introduce you to all the girls properly.  All of them are girls from work or friends from college, but I know you’ll get along just fine!”  Dayeon continued, her excited energy practically sparking off of her.  “Minho will also introduce you to his friends!  Hopefully one of them will catch your eye!”
“Why is everyone here for the rehearsal if the party isn’t until later this afternoon?”  Seol inquired, sparing only a quick glance to the two tables.
“Well, our family can’t be here until tomorrow morning and Minho’s are getting in tonight.  I wanted some support today and luckily all of them could be here!  Besides, once we’re done here they’ll be serving us brunch before we go out.  Ooh, I can hardly wait!”  Dayeon’s bright smile could have lit up this massive wedding hall on it’s own.  Seol grinned.  “Oh, by the way, it looks like one of Minho’s friends has already taken a fancy to you?”
“What?”  Seol started to look over her shoulder, but Dayeon hissed and made her look forward again.  “How?  Who?”
“Don’t look now.  But it’s the classmate we were telling you about earlier.  He is so handsome and tall and really successful!  Just your type!  He also works in your field.  He works at Mariposa Publishing.”  Dayeon whispered.  Seol’s blood turned cold at the name of the company.
“Oh, really?”  Seol feigned ignorance, trying to ignore the horror settling in her stomach.  No.  It couldn’t be.
“Honestly, I don’t know why we didn’t think of him before.”  Dayeon shrugged.  “Isn’t he so cute?”
With permission to look finally granted, Seol slowly turned her head over her shoulder.  Her eyes drifted over the girl's table to land on the boy’s and her heart sank into the floor.  Seol found him immediately, just as he’d found her.  She didn’t know why she hadn’t sensed his gaze on her immediately, but she definitely could now.  His sharp, attractive features were curved into a frown that created deep lines around his eyes and mouth.  His thick eyebrows were furrowed and his jaw was so tense he could probably cut paper on it.  He had every right to be angry after he woke up to an empty bed without so much as a note.  After all this time, trying to avoid him and pretend as if she hadn’t made a total mistake, he sat right there with a gaze made of daggers.  After all this time, there was only one person who could make the ghost of the nausea she’d had after him return...
Hwang Hyunjin.

Chichi appeared on the cover of the latest issue of the Japanese magazine Omosan Street. She is the first Korean person to do so, making her also the first K-pop idol to be honored in this way.
In the magazine we will find a photo shoot and an interview.
Tumblr media
《 ⬇️ INTERVIEW ⬇️ 》
Q: This is your first solo shoot for a Japanese magazine. Thank you for your participation!
🐯: No, thank you! It's really a great honor, I'm so happy to be here.
Q: You lived in Japan almost all your life, you grew up in Numazu and then moved to Kawasaki where you attended Senzoku Gakuen College of Music. You quickly became independent, didn't you?
🐯: Yes, you can say that. I never had a good relationship with my family, so cutting them off as soon as possible was the best solution. Sometimes you have to, even though it may seem difficult. I have fond memories of my time in Kawasaki. I always try to visit this city when I'm in Japan, although it's not always possible. I would like to take all my lovely members there someday. So far, I've only been there with Changbin, I.N, and Hyunjin.
Q: About your members - your next independent decision was to return to Korea, where you were actually just born. You've had your whole life in Japan, what made you make such a dramatic change?
🐯: Now that I think about it, it was probably a selfish decision *laughs* Dancing is my whole life and I can dance anywhere. However, after getting to know k-pop, I wanted something more, I wanted to have friends and show the world my love for dancing and singing. Just thinking about it was exciting enough that I didn't hesitate when I found out about the auditions for Stray 9th.
Q: But from what I remember, this was audition for the male group from the very beginning?
🐯: Yes it's true! But I didn't care. *laughs* I liked Stray Kids' debut and their other songs and just wanted to give it a try. Still, I didn't believe I could do it. I took advantage of the fact that the gender was not strictly defined in the requirements, but they could have rejected me precisely because I am a woman. But JYPe gave me a chance, which was an amazing twist.
Q: But you didn't want to try to get into the all-female group?
🐯: Male group, female group. Is there any difference? I trained harder than most men, lifted weights in competitions for a while. I didn't see a problem with my gender, I knew my abilities well. Also, choreographies for men's groups, their outfits and the most popular concepts appealed to me more.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Q: That sounds really bold and amazing. Especially since your main motto is breaking stereotypes, you really bring a lot of freshness to k-pop. You're the first female in the male group not to be labeled co-ed for this reason. Not having this status allows you to participate with the rest of the members in "boy groups" activities such as the Kingdom program.
🐯: Yes, it's true. When you talk about it that way, it really sounds amazing, although I would prefer that all groups have this opportunity. I would like to see more programs for both male and female groups to get to know each other better. Gender should not put barriers between us.
Q: You appeared in season two of Netflix's Alice in Borderland as Akane, an archer. It was definitely a turning point in your career. Can you share your thoughts on this with us?
🐯: When I was offered this role, I was ecstatic. I read the manga and watched the first season, so it was a dream come true to be in such a project. I must admit that constantly moving between Korea and Japan was difficult, additionally I still had to study and take part in Stray Kids activities. It was a difficult time, but it gave great satisfaction and a lot of joy, and above all, it was a great opportunity to develop and learn even better time management. However, I am glad that I had support from both Stray Kids and Alice in Borderland's cast.
Q: Who in Alice in Borderland's cast are you closest to?
🐯: They are all really wonderful people, but we have a special bond with Ayaka (Miyoshi). She is my good friend and I love her with all my heart. I wish I could see her more often!
Q: What was the hardest thing about being on this show?
🐯: I think the hardest part was playing the love interest *laughs* I didn't have much of a problem with the fight scenes, but faking feelings was an incredible challenge. I think I did pretty well in the end, Sho (Aoyagi) is a wonderful person who has given me a lot of support in this.
Q: You mentioned studying earlier. Is it true that despite your career and busy schedule, you took up university studies?
🐯: That's true. I've always wanted to study law, but it wasn't even remotely as important to me as dancing. However, the time spent with Stray Kids and being an idol made me realize that it won't last forever. I want to use this time to the fullest and best I can, but I also want to secure my future.
Q: This is a very responsible approach, certainly worth following.
🐯: Thank you. I know I don't always make the right choices, but this is one that I don't regret, no matter how hard things get sometimes.
Q: We wish you even more success, no matter which path you decide to go in the end.
🐯: Thank you very much and thank you again for the invitation!

Don't lie, you're an angel; Seungjin of Stray Kids
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Seungjin; Soulmate AU; 10k+ words; 6 chapters; completed fic.
Summary:
Soulmates:
Tied together by fate, with marks that echo in sentences that each half feels when they're content with the balance. Their own balance, as a power to be united for births and lives to come.
Kim Seungmin had given up on the concept of finding one when he turned 18. Hwang Hyunjin embraced the concept of finding one when he turned 22. Two people, living polarly opposite lives, never once realising the parallel threads of destiny tying them together.
The threads intertwined for a bond finally; A bond to borne of love, trust and devotion to each other, with a scent of playful adoration.
Also includes Changlix, Jeongchan and Minsung.
Mentions of clubbing, drinking, mild sexual innuendos and content but not all the way and nothing explicit.

Passing the Torch
a chance encounter turns out to be one of the best things that’s ever happened to Stray Kids.
a/n 1: me and @mynameisnotlaura and i were talking a couple days ago about something we both want to happen for sophie, and thus this fic was born! in fact she came up with the storyline, so all storyline/fic idea credit goes to her! <333
a/n 2: i didn’t write this fic to spark a fire. i wrote it for people to hopefully enjoy, and i wrote it for sophie’s storyline. so don’t come at me for being “controversial” when in reality i wrote almost nothing controversial.
genre: mostly fluff (slight angst in the middle)
word count: 3.6k (scenario only)
warnings: none
taglist: @fromfreesia @skz-angel @skzfairies @mynameisnotlaura
“Sophie, what the heck?! You were a totally different person!” Minho, in an uncharacteristically expressive manner, swept Sophie up and twirled her around the dressing room the moment they got back from performing.
Sophie giggled, still high from the adrenaline of the performance. “I guess I’m adjusting to your slightly darker concepts.”
“Our slightly darker concepts,” corrected Felix, grinning.
Sophie blushed as Minho set her down. “Oh, right.”
“What, you’re still forgetting you’re a member now?” Seungmin teased her as he capped his water bottle.
“Well, you know I used to be a huge STAY-“ Sophie tried to explain herself.
“Used to be?” howled Jisung. “What, you’re not now?!”
“It’s pretty hard to be a fan of your own group without looking extremely egotistical!” laughed Sophie, picking up her water bottle and taking a long, much-needed drink.
“What about all those promotions we do?” pointed out Changbin. “We’re promoting songs we don’t like?”
“I’m not saying that!”
“Then what are you saying?” Hyunjin teased her.
“I’m saying we can like our songs but that doesn’t mean we fangirl or fanboy over them!” Sophie finally exclaimed
“Her point being,” interjected Jeongin, “that before joining, she was a huge STAY. Now, she still loves the music but is a member so can’t really consider herself a STAY.”
“Exactly!” Sophie gestured towards Jeongin. “He understands.”
“I can’t say I totally understand,” admitted Jeongin, “but I know what you’re trying to say.”
Sophie ran over and hugged him, but ended up backing away sooner than she’d have liked to, edging towards Felix. “Um, do you happen to know where a ladies’ room is?” she whispered in his ear, feeling her ears turn red at the slightly embarrassing question.
Felix couldn’t help smiling. “Straight down the hall to the right, then make another right. You won’t miss it.”
Sophie dashed out without another word, having wished for a break since before going onstage. She suspected maybe part of her uncharacteristic ferocity onstage might have been due to her irritation at having to wait even longer.
Not looking where she was going, Sophie was extremely surprised and exceptionally embarrassed to feel herself slam into another body. “Oh my God! I’m so so so so sorry, I’m so sorry, I’m SO sorry!!” she apologized at lightspeed, bowing so many times she didn’t even see who she’d bumped into. “Please, don’t worry, it’s alright,” came a very familiar voice. “Don’t worry about it.”
Sophie straightened so fast she accidentally bonked her head into the wall behind her. Rubbing her head and staring wide-eyed at the person in front of her, she had to kick her ankle to make sure she wasn’t dreaming.
She’d never even considered the fact that she might meet him.
ESPECIALLY not like this! Sophie mentally scolded herself for running in the hallway. Even toddlers knew not to run in buildings!
“Are you okay?” Woojin asked her, snapping her from her daze. “You look a little… shellshocked.”
“I- I’m fine,” stammered Sophie, still recovering from the initial shock of- quite literally- running into the Kim Woojin.
Woojin looked like he wasn’t too sure, but he nodded. “So, um… you’re Stray Kids’ newest member, right?” he asked her.
Sophie nodded. “Y-yes...”
Woojin smiled. “It’s really nice to meet you. Ever since Stray Kids announced your arrival I’ve been wanting to meet you in person.”
A smile of disbelief and shock slowly cracked Sophie’s amazed expression. “R-really?” she said, wishing she could stop stuttering. Then again, this happened with nearly every idol she met.
Woojin nodded. “I really like how you bring sweetness to your darker concepts,” he told her.
“I- thank you!” Sophie felt herself relaxing a little. “The boys tell me that I’m just as ferocious as any of them,” she added with a laugh.
“Oh, but you are! It’s just that yours is different,” clarified Woojin. “It’s like you’re the innocent one, deceiving everyone. You’ve got a devilish expression and attitude when you’re performing that really works for you.”
Sophie wasn’t exactly sure what to say. “I- uh, th-thanks!” She winced at the stutter. “Uh, sorry, I can be really awkward.”
“No worries,” said Woojin. “I totally get it,” he added with a laugh.
It went silent for a moment after that, and Sophie was just beginning to think she’d better excuse herself before she died of a personal need when Woojin spoke again.
“I- uh- I was wondering whether you’d like to exchange numbers,” he said quickly, as if he was a bit nervous about making the request.
“Sure,” responded Sophie, hoping that her giddy excitement wouldn’t show too much. She pulled her phone from her pocket, thankful now that she’d grabbed it on the way out of the dressing room.
She and Woojin exchanged numbers, Sophie wondering silently just what the boys would say if she told them. She made a mental note to keep this to herself, at least for a while.
“Well, uhm, you looked like you were heading somewhere,” Woojin said after he’d put his phone away. “I’d better let you get there.”
“The boys will be wondering what’s taking me so long,” agreed Sophie, regretting having to leave so soon. “It was really nice to meet you!” she added, realizing she hadn’t yet said that.
“You too,” returned Woojin with a smile. “You’ll probably end up getting a text from me before long.” With that, he waved and started heading down the hallway again, whistling a tune.
Sophie waved back, hardly able to believe what had just happened. Then it hit her, and she let out a squeal of delight, practically skipping to the ladies’ room.
•🧚🏻‍♀️•
“Hey, Soph, what’s so funny?” Seungmin leaned over the back of the couch behind Sophie.
Sophie jumped in surprise, quickly closing her phone and hiding it under her leg. “Nothing!” she fibbed, “just remembering something that Beomgyu did once.”
“Mhm, alright.” Seungmin didn’t sound so convinced, but he left the matter alone and walked to the kitchen, whistling Shoot Me by Day6.
Sophie exhaled in relief, taking her phone back out again to respond to Woojin. She’d have to be way more careful in the future.
•🧚🏻‍♀️•
“Guys, my friend is here, so I’ll leave now.” Sophie poked her head into the living room to make sure the boys knew she was leaving.
“Who again?” asked Chan, glancing up from the video game he was currently playing with Jisung and Hyunjin.
“AB6IX Woojin.” Sophie hated lying to Chan, but neither she nor Woojin was ready to find out what the boys’ reaction would be to them being friends. It was just too touchy a subject.
Chan nodded, going back to the game. “Just be back by six,” was all he said.
“You know I will be,” promised Sophie, exiting the dorm as quickly as possible so she could escape the tension that probably only existed in her imagination.
Still, imagination or not, she felt better when she’d closed the apartment door behind her and had set off down the hallway.
Woojin was outside, keeping a low profile in the shade despite the slightly chilly day. Even beneath the mask, Sophie could tell that his eyes lit up when she stepped outside. “Hey, Soph!” he greeted her, handing her a hot chocolate.
Sophie accepted the drink, grinning up at her friend. “Aw, you didn’t have to.” She leaned her head against his arm for a brief second to show her appreciation, keeping it fleeting because of the chances of being seen.
Just being out with Woojin was a risk for possible scandal, she knew, but that didn’t stop either of them.
“So, your birthday’s coming up soon, right?” remarked Woojin as they strolled through the park.
Sophie nodded. “The 18th, so it’s coming up way too fast.” She let out a giggle as she said it.
“Three days is too fast?” Woojin asked, sidestepping a puddle left over from the rain that morning. “Sixteen is so much fun.”
“It’s… it’s just the age where I’ve always considered people grown up,” admitted Sophie. “And the thought of me being that age has always been both exciting and terrifying.”
“That’s understandable,” agreed Woojin, one hand in his coat pocket. “I know you’ll be an amazing sixteen-year-old though.”
Sophie smiled up at him. “Thanks.”
She couldn’t help but marvel at how quickly they’d gotten comfortable with each other in such a short time. Whenever she thought back to their first meeting in the hallway at the music show, she almost couldn’t believe that it was actually her in the memory. She’d been so embarrassed by her awkwardness, she remembered with an inward laugh, that when she got into the ladies room and safely into a stall, she had actually cried a tiny bit before remembering the enormity of what had happened.
Then she had started laughing, and didn’t stop until she heard Dami from Dreamcatcher asking if she was okay.
Now if that wasn’t embarrassing, Sophie wasn’t sure what was.
“Hey, wait, what’re you humming?” Woojin’s voice sounded slightly teasing, and Sophie realized with a start that she’d unconsciously begun to hum Still Dream under her breath. “Sounds like Purple Sky to me.”
He had Sophie hook, line, and sinker. “No, it’s Still Dream,” she said automatically before realizing what she was saying. “Aw, come on!”
Woojin laughed. “I’ve known for a while that you’re a Cub, don’t worry.”
“Wait, how?!”
“Don’t think I haven’t heard you singing Still Dream nonstop when you think I’m not paying attention.”
Sophie felt her cheeks turn pink. “You weren’t supposed to hear that.”
“It’s okay. I mean, as long as we’re confessing what songs we have on repeat, I’ve been addicted to that cover you did of Speechless.”
“Wait, really?” Sophie’s surprise banished all embarrassment for the moment.
Woojin nodded. “You and Sunyoul need to do a collaboration on that one.”
Sophie giggled. “Honestly, I wish we could,” she confessed. “My friend back in America showed me that cover on a trip one night and ever since then I’ve wanted to collab with Sunyoul.”
“Really? You should tell JYP,” Woojin encouraged her. “It wouldn’t surprise me if he somehow worked that out.”
Sophie felt her hopes rise again. “I’ll do that,” she agreed. “Wouldn’t hurt to try, at any rate.”
“I can’t wait to see what-“ Woojin broke off suddenly, and pulled Sophie’s bucket hat down even farther, adjusting his own a moment later.
This wasn’t the first time they’d had to suddenly be extra careful about hiding their identities. Sophie knew by now that Dispatch was probably lurking somewhere with cameras; either Dispatch or obsessive fans.
Probably Dispatch, considering that neither she nor Woojin had seen anything regarding their friendship on social media.
Still, though, it didn’t hurt to be extra careful.
Because at least the way things were right now, STAYs, and even non STAYs, would never quite forget the past.
•🧚🏻‍♀️•
Sophie walked into an empty apartment when she came home later that afternoon. “Guys?” Walking into the kitchen in search of them, she instead found a note tacked to the fridge with a magnet. Come to JYP’s office when you get home.
Sophie ran all the way there, somehow knowing exactly what was happening.
The first thing she did when she l reached the office was apologize. “I’m so sorry I didn’t tell anyone. I should have realized that this could cause problems with Dispatch and with the fans and with the companies-“ she babbled anxiously, just wanting to get the whole ordeal over with.
“Whoa, whoa, hold on.” JYP held up a hand, and Sophie stopped. “Nobody’s mad, except maybe Woojin. And probably you, when you hear what happening.”
“Dispatch caught you guys, Soph,” said Chan seriously. “Rumors are already spreading.”
Sophie sank into a random chair, not even registering when she heard Seungmin grunt a little as her weight deposited directly onto his legs. “What rumors?” she asked flatly, not wanting to hear it.
“Well, the most toxic people are trying to say you and Woojin are dating.” Chan winced as he said it, like the words were poison in his mouth.
Sophie shot straight up. “EWW,” she exclaimed, “Chan, he’s literally your age!!”
Chan held up his hands both in innocence and to calm her. “I know, I know. But they’re out there now. Most STAYs will probably not believe them though.”
“Most of the others aren’t even really rumors,” admitted JYP. “A lot of people are simply restarting the whole situation, and some are trying to say that you’re taking Woojin’s place.”
Sophie’s breath caught in her throat as she remembered Miyeon and her taunts. “Again?”
JYP nodded. “STAYS seem to be taking your side as a general whole, though. Most of them are saying that it’s really sweet how you and Woojin apparently became friends.”
“But that’s the question,” said Chan. “How exactly did you guys meet?”
Sophie felt a blush appearing. “Um, well, remember that music show where I suddenly ran out of the room and only Felix knew where I’d gone? …I uh, well… I was on my way to the ladies’ room, running and not watching where I was going… and I kinda ended up bodyslamming him by accident?”
To Sophie’s absolute surprise, everyone except her started laughing. It took a good two minutes for her to be able to continue.
“We ended up talking for a couple of minutes, and exchanged numbers. And we’ve been hanging out ever since. You know, just friends.”
Felix snapped his fingers. “That’s why you kept saying you were with AB6IX Woojin!”
“It took you that long to realize that?” said Seungmin in genuine surprise from behind Sophie.
“So you guys aren’t like, conspiring or anything, right?” JYP asked tentatively. “I don’t believe for a moment that you would, I just want absolute clarification for the statement we’ll have to release.”
“Oh, gosh, no!!” exclaimed a horrified Sophie. “Never!!”
He picked up a pen and wrote something down on a slip of paper. “Okay, so we will release a statement sometime in the next few days. I suggest that you guys and Woojin hold a VLIVE together after it’s released, to clear the air permanently.”
“How do we tell Woojin though?” wondered Jeongin aloud.
Sophie smiled mysteriously. “I know how.”
•🧚🏻‍♀️•
“Oh, my gosh, he’s gonna be here any minute!” Sophie panicked, running to the nearest member and burying her head into their shirt with zero hesitation. In this case, the random member happened to be Seungmin, who she rarely hugged (though deeply cared about nonetheless), and he ended up awkwardly hugging her back.
“Uh, I’m not exactly sure why you’re panicking, since you’ve been in contact with him a lot more recently than we have,” he said, wondering to himself how to calm her nerves, “but I guess it’s okay to be nervous?“
“But it’s not,” protested Sophie, and Seungmin realized with a pang of alarm that the girl was close to tears. “This just has to go well for you guys. I don’t know if I could stand it if things stayed the same or got worse…”
Seungmin awkwardly patted her back, not exactly sure what to do in the fairly uncommon situation of a crying Sophie. “It- it’ll all work out,” he promised, though he wasn’t totally sure himself how everything would go down. “Don’t worry.”
A shuddering breath was his only response, and he realized she was actually crying. “Oh, gosh, Soph, don’t cry-“ He picked her up and brought her to the couch, where she leaned against him and cried into his shirt. “It’s okay, we’ll all work it out. With the exception of you, we’re all reasonably mature human beings-“
Sophie let out a half sob, half giggle. “What, now I’m not mature?” she quipped, her voice thick and slightly distorted with tears.
Seungmin laughed. “Of course you’re mature,” he said, hugging her. “I was saying you’re not an adult, but it kind of came out funny.”
“Jeongin’s not,” mumbled Sophie, her tears beginning to dissipate with the moment of humor.
“He’s twenty-one, Bubble, he’s an adult.”
“Oh.” Sophie let that sink in. “Then I’m the only kid left, so to speak.”
“We can privately consider you an adult once you’re eighteen,” promised Seungmin. “Since that’s how America does it.”
“Isn’t that how it’s done everywhere?” asked a puzzled Sophie.
“Well, here it’s nineteen,” Seungmin told her. “It’s only a year’s difference though.”
“Oh. So Hueningkai is an adult?”
“If he’s nineteen,” shrugged Seungmin.
Sophie was about to try and process this very new piece of information when her phone buzzed with a message.
Woojin: i’m outside, are you ready?
Sophie: actually, can you come up here please? i want to show you something-
Woojin: alrighty, be there in a minute or two
A minute later, a knock came at the door, and Sophie was up like a shot to answer it before anyone else could.
Woojin stood there, looking slightly uncertain about why she’d asked him to come up to the dorm itself. “Hey, Soph,” he greeted her with his usual smile, “what’d you want to show…” His voice trailed off as he noticed the eight boys standing behind Sophie.
Sophie swallowed hard. “This is what I wanted to show you,” she said quietly. “Dispatch snapped a photo of us and leaked it all over social media.”
Woojin sighed. “I kinda thought that might happen, but I was hoping it wouldn’t.”
Sophie grabbed his hand and tugged him into the dorm. “So now that the world knows that you and I are friends-“
“-you’re hoping that all ten of us can be friends,” Woojin finished for her. His eyes roved to the male members. “I’m willing to give it a go, if you guys are.”
Chan spoke for all of them, as pre-arranged. “We’re willing.”
Sophie broke into a smile. “I’ll go get some cookies.”
•🧚🏻‍♀️•
It was quiet for a long time after the discussion; for so long, in fact, that Sophie was beginning to wonder if everything had happened for nothing and that she would be the only member to continue a friendship with Woojin.
But then, glancing around at her members and her friend, she realized that all of them were glassy-eyed.
As she watched, Chan was the first to move over to Woojin. And to Sophie’s relief, and great delight, wrap his arms around the other idol.
Seungmin was the next to move, a tear rolling down his cheek as he came and joined the hug.
One by one, the remaining six members joined the ever-growing hug, until there was only Sophie left.
And she was perfectly fine with that. It was their reunion, not hers, and she was happy just to sit and watch as Stray Kids, in a manner of speaking, became their original nine again.
It was at least another ten minutes before Jisung finally roused everyone from the long moment. “Now that we’re all friends again, why don’t we let Sophie and Woojin do what they were a planning to do originally?”
“Not so fast, Jisung,” laughed Sophie. “There’s still the VLIVE to do.”
Jisung facepalmed. “It’s not that I don’t want to do it, I just wish that we didn’t have to.”
“We all do,” agreed Woojin. “But to be honest, I think STAYS- and Cubs, if we’re being totally honest- have waited long enough to hear the truth.”
•🧚🏻‍♀️•
The VLIVE was going better than any of them had hoped for. STAYS and Cubs alike flooded the comments section with praise and support for all of them, and everyone was able to get through the explanation with minimal tears.
But as the livestream was starting to wrap up, Woojin spoke up again. “I don’t mean to dwell on anything negative,” he said, “because this is really a positive thing I’m about to say.” He turned to Sophie, who was sitting on the floor in front of him and between Hyunjin and Jeongin. “I was part of Stray Kids when it began as nine members. I saw the fluctuations during the survival show as we morphed from inexperienced trainees to an idol group ready for debut. And I was there when Minho and Felix were eliminated.”
Stray Kids stayed quiet, half of them wondering where he was going with this and the other half beginning to figure it out.
“When JYP brought our two members back, he said that there was something about Stray Kids as nine,” continued Woojin. “A chemistry that couldn’t be achieved with fewer than nine. We’ve all agreed that when I had to leave, a piece of that magic was lost. I’m not saying that Stray Kids wasn’t amazing, because they have gone leagues beyond most fourth-gen groups,” he added quickly, “in so many ways. But there always needed to be a ninth member to complete Stray Kids.” His hands found Sophie’s shoulders, and rested upon them. “This strong, beautiful girl sitting in front of me is the missing last piece. Her story is truly amazing, and I hope that one day she chooses to share it with all of you. Her vocals and image are just what the group needs, but more importantly, it is her as a genuine person that truly completes Stray Kids. I would love to have been able to stay with Stray Kids permanently, but I believe there was a higher reason for my departure. And I believe that reason is for Sophie to come in and be the ninth member that Stray Kids always has, and always will need. I am more than proud to pass on the role of vocalist, and member of Stray Kids, to Sophie Caldwell.”
Reactions:
(all)
Woojin:
Tumblr media
one of the happiest out of the ten for sure
almost couldn’t believe how accepting all the fans were about it
like he had a little suspicion that Stray Kids would be accepting
but the fans were a whole other issue
Stray Kids now privately considers Woojin a member again in their own special ways
and “Stray Kids as 10” is having literally the best time whenever they get together
Chan:
Tumblr media
hated losing a member when it happened, and when Sophie came it really did help so much with both personal feelings and stage chemistry
but he really couldn’t help wishing that Woojin hadn’t had to leave
so after Woojin, he’s probably second happiest (if you can rank happiness levels at all in a case like this) that the former member has somewhat returned
was a slight bit upset for a while that Sophie had lied about which Woojin she was friends with but considering the circumstances he decided to let it go
after all she’s only fifteen, in her mind what else was she supposed to do?
Minho:
Tumblr media
to be honest kinda enjoyed being second oldest (especially when Sophie came because that was one more member younger than him)
but you don’t see him complaining
would be cracking all sorts of jokes related to their group name and Woojin’s fandom name if the situation wasn’t so absolutely miraculous
Changbin:
Tumblr media
may or may not be slightly embarrassed that he let himself stay in a group hug for ten minutes straight
but pretends he isn’t because HOLY COW WOOJIN IS BACK
kind of likes having an even number of members (honorary member included) but he’s not going to say that out loud
convinces Felix and Woojin to sing that one lullaby for Sophie one day
Sophie didn’t think either lullaby was creepy “I listen to Dreamcatcher alone at 3 AM with no problem, why would this scare me?”
overall not as expressive about the situation as some of the others
Hyunjin:
Tumblr media
another one who’s not quite as expressive
but still just as happy as any of the others
one of the most frequent to join Sophie and Woojin (by invitation) on their little outings
was one of the most touched by Woojin officially passing the torch to Sophie
Jisung:
Tumblr media
HYPED. UP.
soooo excited that the original nine are friends again, PLUS NOW THEY HAVE SOPHIE SO THAT MAKES IT 1000X BETTER
one of the most active in dispelling rumors when they’re brought up to him by fans
enjoys teasing them though
“you left us out of the loop for so long!” pouts
Felix:
Tumblr media
every time he sees Woojin: “g’day, mate!”
for context and clarification, he doesn’t do this to anyone else
it’s one of his ways of always showing he’s happy how the situation turned out
since Woojin is actively working on English skills for his own fans, Felix and Sophie have enlisted as his official English teachers
and the trio randomly speaks English now to each other
Seungmin:
Tumblr media
one of the happiest but a little less expressive about it
he still expresses it plenty in his ways but he’s definitely not on the same level with Jisung and Sophie (to be honest nobody is)
in the VLIVE when asked his reaction he said “i wish it had happened three years ago”
and he leaves it at that even among the members and Woojin
Sophie nicknamed him “Mysterious” because of this
Jeongin:
Tumblr media
he and Sophie are actually tied for most childlike reactions
their reactions are very similar and it’s kind of not surprising considering how much they feed off of each other’s energy and personalities
finds it kind of an adjustment to consider Woojin the honorary oldest again after Chan being the oldest for 3+ years
but decides to just let it play out and not overthink it and soon it’s normal again
he and Chan are tied for most tears shed on Stray Kids’ end
Sophie:
Tumblr media
(ignore the words, there just aren’t many gifs of Melissa Gilbert in this role ToT)
even more ecstatic than Jisung, if that’s possible
she and Woojin already had grown close and she considered him like an older brother already
so to see her members and him reunite was the best kind of tears for her
it was even better than becoming a member herself (but she hasn’t told anyone that because you just know she’s going to struggle to explain herself)
along with Felix is now Woojin’s English teacher and is always texting him in English to teach him the English texting shortcuts
which he finds alternately adorable and annoying (depends on the situation)
Sophie makes it a point to sing his solo songs
and then Felix suggests a collaboration between the two and now Stray Kids is trying to convince them to actually do it
that’s slightly off topic though

-----------------------------------------
One more thing, this is NOT edited yet, so let me know if I should fix anything!!💜💜
The morning after Ji-Min and I landed, I still had not responded to him. I had spoken to Ji-Min about it over breakfast Eomma had made for us and she decided to snitch to my mom about it. That’s where we were now…
My friend had snatched my phone from my hands and read off a few of our past messages to my mom. She looked at me over her reading glasses, causing me to choke on my drink a little and she began speaking to me in a string of Korean and English, “Isabelle, you and this boy have known each other for years! And you haven’t decided to try to text him in the months you did not speak?! Did you happen to forget he is in Korea trying to make a way for not just him and his mates, but his family here as well?”
I rub my palm down my face in frustration, “Yes, Eomma, it’s almost as if he would tell me that all the time! I was there when he needed me, but where was he when Appa died?! I called him,” at this point I had my voice strained and was nearly shouting at her, “he was not there, Ji-Min and you were. Not him, he was off on a break with his members!”
The two in front of me shrunk back a little as I took a few breaths to calm down, knowing no good was coming out of this, “It doesn’t matter because it’s not like he really wants to see me anyway. Ji and I have the studio to get to for our Live.”
I stood up and bowed my body slightly to my mom and stole a glance at my best friend just as she spoke up, “Actually, I think he might want to see you.”
I let out a questioning exclamation as she continued, “I texted him a little bit ago for you and, um, he’s here…in Australia…”
Tumblr media
“Ji-Min, why would you do that?” I spoke softly to her as I began getting out of the car. I had been bothering her about it the whole ride here. I grabbed both of our gym bags out of the back as she growled in frustration and slammed the car door aggressively. We began walking up the steps and she took her bag off of my shoulder, “Because, Iz, you have loved this man for the majority of your life and I was there when you two fell off. I thought I was going to have to put you on suicide watch and force-feed your ass.”
She wasn’t lying and I knew that if she didn’t message him, I probably never would have. She opened to door for me as we greeted the older woman at the front desk.
“You two have four hours to yourself, loves. We just got rid of the kids who use it in the mornings!” She grinned as she hugged me. Mrs. Lee had owned the place since before I was born and I had grown up with her in my life. We thanked her as we went inside the studio room. It was just as I remembered, the dim lighting did well for a calming ambiance, but we needed more light. As I dropped my bag next to the door and began turning the dial to change the lighting, Ji-Min began to set up the cameras. One for the Live we planned and the other, to capture the performance we’ve worked on for weeks.
It had been Ji-Min’s idea, in all honesty, at the studio we go to in the states our group had done ONE ‘sexy’ concept and she couldn’t wait for another one. We took to Red Lights…yes, by Bang Chan and Hyunjin. If I remember correctly, her exact words were: “Come on, Izzy! Your kid, and my bias…we just have to!”
So here we are.
I checked my phone, he hadn’t responded to the last text I had sent which was just a simple ‘Oh”. Although I was slightly nervous about his response, I pushed it down and opened a message my mom had sent a few minutes previously.
“I’m meeting with his mom for lunch. Maybe you and Ji will be able to join us after you get finished?”
I tossed my phone into my now-open bag and rummaged through for my brush so that I could do our hair. Ji-Min sat slightly in front of the cameras and mentioned she was starting the live. The two of us did our brief introductions and I explained what the plan for the live was, which was to give both of our followers a chance to see a “behind the scenes” of our process of filming our dance covers. I began brushing through her hair as she began reading off a few comments and responding to them.
“You should put on music, it’s so awkwardly quiet lol.” she giggled out. I let out an echoing laugh and requested her to hold the three strands I had set for a braid. While she continued to interact with our viewers, I briefly grabbed the speaker in my bag and connected my phone to it. I decided to put on what was playing last, which happened to be one of Ji-Min’s favorite Stray Kids songs. Yes, Ji-Min was a huge fangirl and considered herself a STAY…lucky me, right? She hummed along to the lyrics, every once in a while letting out a little conversation with both me and our fans.
“Ah! I like this question: Ji-Min and Isa, who is your bias in Stray Kids?” She stated teasingly as she stared at me through the mirror in front of us. “Mine is Hyunjin, amazing man right there. But, our Izzy here claims she doesn’t have one, but personally, she kind of has a thing for Bang Chan.”
I yanked on her hair a bit as my face flushed a little bit, “I don’t have a thing for him, I just…” I honestly had no clue what to respond to that with. “She has a thing for him.” She said in a matter-of-factly tone. I pulled her hair once more, “No, yeah, I relate to him in a way. So, sure I guess you could call him my bias. Plus, I mean, have you seen him? Downright handsome!”
I finished up with her hair and held the few flyaways down with hair gel. Just as I sat down, the song faded into one of my personal favorites; Sorry, I Love You. I was rapping along through the beginning, “Seo Changbin, if by any chance you find this video I absolutely adore this song and you’re a genius.” I translated what I said to Korean as well as Spanish due to us having the majority of our fans from both Mexico and Korea. Every once in a while I would glance down at Ji-Min’s phone for the comments and respond to a few. I began to tie my two braids into a low bun at the base of my neck when my phone began to ring. At first I paid no mind, expecting it to be my mom, and I gelled down my hair. Ji-Min still held the device in her hand and she got behind the camera with a shocked face as she turned it around to show me.
Chris
“What should I do?” she mouthed at me as she pressed the volume button so the ringing would stop. I took it from her and hesitantly pressed decline on the screen. She crouched down in front of the camera and apologized in the three languages we typically used with our fan bases, “I am so very sorry, Isa’s boyfriend decided to call at such a bad time!” Her fake, but accurate, Australian accent rang through the studio.
I laughed from the back of the room as I took my sweatshirt off and replaced it with a simple black cut-off shirt, “Boyfriend! As if, he wants nothing to do with me.”
Ji followed me shortly to the back as she took a drink of water and unzipped her hoodie. I slipped my phone out of her pocket and turned on our warm-up music. We usually started with slower songs and worked our way up to the faster songs. In this situation we started with Aurora by ATEEZ, did I mention that her last name was ‘Song”...yes she was related to Mingi of the group. Adopted, but that never stopped her from treating him like any other would their brother, and she was proud of her brother. The two of us quietly sang along as the songs went through until we were finished.
I turned to her, “How is your brother lately?”
She smiled her bright smile anytime he was mentioned, “He’s doing really good, actually, just a little nervous for their upcoming comeback.”
I nodded in understanding,” Good, good,” I almost forgot we were live for a moment and decided to change the subject, “rock, paper, scissors to see who changes first?”
We did three rounds, but she lost and left the room to change. I sat down and began scrolling through the comments until one caught my eye. “Isa, have you ever fallen in love? Uh, well depends on your definition, but I can hardly fall asleep at night. What makes you think I can fall in love?” Once again, I translated and laughed through each one a little bit. I heard the door open and my best friend yelled, “Ji-Min in the building! And man, I look hot! I can’t wait to see you, Lovely.”
I turned around to look at her and she wasn’t wrong. Our friend had designed our outfits based on the music video as well as the two idols’ outfits with our personal style embedded throughout. Her top was that of a white suit, which crossed into strips at the waist. Her pants were white with red lace wrapping around the thighs, flowy and formal and her shoes were red combat boots. She finished it off with a red ribbon tied around the ends of her pigtailed braids. I brought my fist to my teeth and bit my knuckle teasing her, “Damn!”
She laughed loudly and tossed my bag into my arms and shoved me out the door to get changed. I put the strap over my shoulder, took my phone out of the waistband of my sweatpants, and saw a new message from him.
So, you think I’m handsome?
My face flushed…he was watching? My fingers found my keyboard and flitted out a message.
You weren’t supposed to hear that.
I saw the three grey dots fade across the screen and anxiously threw my phone back into my bag so I could get ready.

maybe reverse vampire au 👀? reader is an anemic vampire and needs a constant supply chain of blood so ot8 offers instead to be donors but makes reader beg for it and theres just constant teasing and whining. maybe something fluffy + smut with either minchan or hyunjin since birthday month and artist of the month for them idk its like 5 am here this idea probs isnt fleshed out enough
Unquenchable Thirst
cw // Explicit Smut with MinChan, Implied Smut with Hyunjin, slightly power bottom reader (I didn't put too much begging sorry! 💀), Vampire Reader, Human!skz, Anemic reader, Sex Addict Minho, Chan is just Chan, Hyunjin is kinda emo and feels neglected, Wall Fucking, Riding, Penetration, Awkward Moment with Hyunjin, Double Penetration, Threesome.
a/n: I strayed so very far from the request since I was interested so much in the concept I had to expand on it. Sorry if it wasn't what you expected HSHXJ. (Put under a cut since it's too long.)
It is annoying.
Your donors are annoying, overly confident, loud and more. Sometimes, you were tempted to call the agency for new donors but you didn't. Not when Father himself assigned them to you, all 8 of these fools.
It’s true that you were very much in need of blood that atleast a day you have to have 1 liter of blood per 12 hours which is essentially one blood bag. Usual vampires only need atleast 300 mL of blood but being born with a incurable condition happens and runs within the family genes.
Father assigned 8 for you just so, they just don't collapse while you're leeching on their necks. Donors have increased production of blood cells anyways but for he also did it for cautionary measure.
But..... Like I said, the 8 were a pain in the asshole, sometimes literally since they are extremely attractive.
~
Suprisingly, blood drinking led to fucking, One thing happened, Chan had you on his lap sucking out of his neck and the next thing you know Minho had joined in.
You were now between an awkward position where Chan was moaning as you continued to drain him to satiate your neverending thirst, Minho was fucking up to you too — so not only moans from Chan was heard but breathy gasps from Minho was also received.
Chan erratically thrusts up into your welcoming tight heat — hands freaking out, trying to find where to touch. His neck was also leaned to the side as you basically use him as a human blood bag.
Minho’s hands was very much roaming around as he ruts against your ass, to your exposed dick, on your nipples, on your thighs, your neck and he even wrapped his arm around you. Too touchy with the donor is not the bestest thing. Ever.
You pull away from Chan’s neck for a moment, “Switch places with Chan.” you said with a emotionless tone, lips rising up momentarily as you looked back at the pleased face of your horny donor.
“Come on, you can still feed on him~” Minho whined, not wanting to pull out.
Chan looked spent and out of energy, sweaty all over and hair getting greasy. “First, it’s not a request, Second, he looks he’s about to be corpse, I’m still thirsty.” you explain monotonously.
“Fine.” Minho said in a annoyed tone, rolling his eyes and pulling out of you with a loud wet pop.
Chan yawns tiredly, “I’m gonna go now.” he says in an exhausted tone, watching as you stood up from his thighs, his cock also releasing a obscene pop, his red tip was dripping with lube. He stood up from the sit and smiled at you wearily. “That felt amazing...” Chan trails off as Minho waited impatiently already missing your tight warm walls, the impatient human tapped his foot waiting for Chan to get up.
“Thank you for your blood, Channie.” you says, not noticing Minho’s unwarranted staring at your loose hole that was dripping with copious amount of lube, he inhaled deeply the smell of sex in the room and looked away from your empty, inviting ass.
Chan noticed and chuckled at the sight. “That is what they tasked me with.” he simply said, before standing up from the poor chair and trudging away, out of the room.
You looked back at him weirdly at the random laugh but forgot it fully after a bit.
Minho replaced Chan on the seat and looked at you, waiting with a smirk— his dick yet to have gone flaccid. “Come on, Y/N. Have a sit, and drink on me.” he stated with a confident look.
You scoffed at the sex addict, out of the 8, he is the most wanting attention and always asks to fuck you. Kind of shameless really. Father really went out of his way to pick out a horny fool.
You sighed pleasurably as you sank down on Minho’s cock, moaning a bit before lunging on his neck shortly with your fangs barred out, connecting successfully as blood started to flow on your mouth. “Ahh, just like that.” he says, reaching down with his hand and tweaking your hardening nipples.
“You are so cute, Y/N~ Still thinking about why they picked 8 of us to be your donor, it should've just been me.” he ranted, thrusting into you shallowly as he played with your buds.
You bit harder on his neck causing the donor to moan, erratically thrusting into your hole, his hips somehow getting a mind of their own as they buck into you endlessly. You felt yourself, reaching your high before releasing on Minho’s abdomen, your cum dripping against your cock, causing you to feel sticky on your lower regions.
Pleasure is good, though Minho was about to drop dead if you kept on going since his skin is starting to go slight pale.
Minho breathed through his mouth as you disconnected as you disconnected your fangs from his now-bleeding neck before you lick the blood away.
“You’re noisier than Chan.” you stated, sighing as you got up and left the human to jerk off — though he was glaring at you on the way out, speechless of your sudden retreat.
None of them knew that you were anemic, yet. To be honest you didn't know how the month of the donors started with a lot of sex. Though they’d find out soon enough.
~
Oh boy, when they found out — they used it as leverage against you. Teasing you and playing with you at every chance they get. They stop of course when you get light headed at the lack of blood since taking iron supplements didn't exactly work for vampires.
They wanted you to beg for their bloods and it irked you but nonetheless you played their games and begged from time to time.
~
You were awfully thirsty, this time, you felt like you were gonna faint. You were checking the rooms of the donors and found them missing. As patient as you were, this is a serious problem. “Where the fuck are all the donors?!” You screamed at the top of your lungs, slightly getting teary-eyed before a certain someone appeared at the end of the hallway. The guy with the semi-long hair, what was his name again?
Felix?
No, it was um, Hyun-something. Hyunjun? You thought so.
“Hyunjun! Hyunjun! Blood!” you chanted as he walked over to you with a weird look on his face.
“It’s Hyunjin.” he scoffs, sighing at the end and picking you up as you wrapped your limbs around him and attached your lips on the side of his neck and started drinking.
He hums when he noticed your breathing got steady.
After a while, you pulled away from him with a lick of your lips as he placed you down. “The others took a day off and left me here just in case for blood emergency.” he stated, looking at you calmly before smiling.
You look back at him and awkwardly chuckled, “Sorry that I got your name wrong..” you trailed off, scratching your chin as you felt second hand embarrassment when you shouted the wrong name.
“It’s fine. You barely drink from me anyway, and when you usually do.. You quickly leave.” he says, trying to hide the fact that he did want to spend more time with the vampire he allowed to drink from him.
“Oh, I'm sorry...” you apologize in a sincere tone at what he said, to be honest it is true. Hyunjin feels more like an emergency blood bag rather than your donor due to the times you kind of forgot about him.
“I’ll be sure to drink more from you then, also can I have one last sip?” you mumbled, your head lowered down.
He looks to the side and thinks, before grinning, pulling a shocked look from you since his expression changed.
“Sure, but you have to beg. Alot, oh and we have to have sex.” he answers as if he was channeling his inner Minho.
You sighed and nodded, you wanted to please the man due to what he said earlier, though you expected him to be the sad emo of the group or maybe he's the least confident of them but nonetheless, you need to release some pent up sexual frustrations and since the others are on break.
“Fine...” you mumbled, trying to keep the sigh building up from your throat to release, especially when Hyunjin is raising an eyebrow at you.
Shortly after, you stripped yourself off your clothes. as Hyunjin did, oh he was big, girthy too. Probably the biggest out of the others.
Oh, shoot.
~
It was safe to say you are tired, extremely tired. Hyunjin is fucking wild. You were now resting on a bed, naked after Hyunjin brought you to his room. He fucked you against the walls and savoured your sounds.
You had never moaned nor whined like that, even with the others. You were sure it echoed around the whole mansion, he not only manhandled you, he threw you around like some doll, that's only used to be fucked.
He was praising you too, telling you how much you were such a good boy as he shoved his cock into you. It’s the first time that you thought you begged like a little bitch since the other times were pretends.
Beastly as if he wasn't human. Hm....
You’d have to do it again with him soon, though you also got enough blood to supply you for atleast 3 hours until you need more. Hopefully the others come back by then.
Just thinking about sex with Hyunjin made you feel sweaty now and in a good way.
You’d hopefully ask for more.

Stray Kids as Fathers
Tumblr media
Mellow speaks: SKZ being fathers is just such an adorable concept, that I really couldn't stop myself from writing this hehe. I hope you guys like reading this, and I'll see you in a few days! PS. I mostly stuck to the kids being around or under 7-8 years of age, because that was just more easier and relatable to write.
Tumblr media
Chan
Best. Dad. Ever. Seriously, he will always be there to help you with the kids, and will be the most doting father to them you could possible expect. He will always remember the important dates, will be there for the important occasions, and your kids will literally have the most loved childhood ever.
You know how he showers the boys with all the love he has? Well, you can very easily expect the same treatment for your children as well. He will always know how to cheer them up when they're upset, and how to stop their tears when they get hurt.
He would absolutely love to bring his children to work, showing them how he makes music and letting them have a go at the recording equipment. If you're okay with it, he might even want to bring them to his VLives, because he just wants to share how adorable his kids are, with Stays.
Minho
The kids will most definitely take after his sass, so you can expect them to always have the wittiest of replies to anything anyone ever says to them. He will definitely be the most protective dad ever, and will legit obliterate anyone that so much as raises a finger at them.
Other than that though, he will totally help you out with taking care of your children, showing them his love by teasing and fake threatening them, the way he does with Hyunjin. He will love to teach them choreographies and play board games with them, and even if you have some work to do, you can rest assured that he'll keep them entertained for hours on end.
Will love to show off how amazing his kids are, just like he loves showing off how great his cats are. You can expect him to rave on for hours about how much he loves them to anyone who'd care to listen.
Changbin
He seems like the type to actually get jealous of his own kids if you give them too much attention. He's just too used to being babied by everyone, that he would really become whiny and clingy if you don't give him the attention he craves.
But other than that, he'll definitely be the most goofy dad around, your house being filled with the sounds of their weird but funny antics. He will absolutely love to entertain your kids with his rap skills, their eyes shining in wonder at how fast he can spit those words out.
He's the type to love scooping them up in his arms, bouncing them up and down softly as he elicits the cutest of giggles and laughs from them, the happy smile on his face mirroring their own.
Hyunjin
No matter how much time passes by, he will never fail to be amazed whenever he catches sight of your kids, the fact that he's a father always making him feel mesmerized. He always has a childlike wonder about him when he's playing with your kids, a huge smile plastered on his face as he watches them grow up.
You can very well expect his drama queen instincts to brush off on them, and even the smallest of things will be turned into a huge affair until all of you are on the floor, laughing your asses off.
He's learning, and can still be clueless about a ton of things even years after your children are born. But just know that he loves them with all his heart, and is willing to do anything for them.
Jisung
He would totally want to spend time with his kids, but since he's a teensy bit (read: totally) clueless, he'll be shy to hold them or interact with them at first, afraid that he'll just end up hurting them unintentionally. You will have to help him out there, being there to answer all his questions.
Once he gets the hang of it though, he just wouldn't want to stay away from them, his eyes following them around as they go about their daily routines, a soft smile playing at his lips at the mere sight.
He seems like the type to love telling them stories about funny incidents from his idol endeavors, the smiles on their faces as they listen raptly to tales about SKZ Code or MV shootings making him the happiest.
Felix
He'll be more like a friend than a dad, always trying to understand what your kids are feeling a giving them his honest opinion when he feels like they need it. That being said, he will also be one of the coolest dads around, always keeping up with trends just so he can have fun with them.
He will always urge them to trying and learning new things, using his own experiences of learning Korean and moving to South Korea to help them out when they're stuck. He will be the most supportive father your kids could ever ask for.
Baking dates with them would be a regular for him, and he will let them put on the icing and decorations onto the cookies and brownies as he pulls them out of the oven.
Seungmin
The minute they are born, you might as well expect him to start teaching them about Day6. Just joking, but he most definitely will be using their songs as lullabies whenever he's tasked with making them go to sleep, and before you know it, your kids will probably be belting out the same songs.
He will be just the right mix of goofy and serious with them, playing around with them every free moment he has but not being enough to get on your nerves. He will be reluctant to let them meet his members, because he doesn't want those clowns to be a bad influence on them. It's all good fun though.
At the same time though, he will be the type to really enjoy going out on random play dates with your kids, and he will absolutely love taking them out to the amusement park or to cafes and book stores.
Jeongin
Good luck to you handling kids with a kid. He will totally teach your kids his most annoying tactics as the youngest member of SKZ, and will legit not pass on a single chance to get on your nerves. But that's only because he knows you love him and your kids, and that you can't really stay mad at them.
His insolence might brush off on your kids, but if they do, he'll be quick to change sides, giving them a hearing (while promising to buy them food when you're not listening). At the same time, he won't let them get too out of hand, always being there to catch them if they do something wrong.
Overall though, he will be a really playful father, fun jokes and stupid pranks being the life of your house.
