"Are you being deadass?" Eli asks, sitting up from his bed. You nod your head, pressing the buttons on the gaming controller in front of you. "Yea..." Eli groans, shaking his head. "WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU SAY THAT?"

You shrug, not sure how to answer. Eli sighs and lies back down, covering his eyes with a pillow. "You're so damn lucky that I love you," he says, his voice muffled by the pillow. "She kissed me back! And then she wore her ring again like it never happened." You say, pausing the game and turning around to face Eli.

Eli remains silent. You take a deep breath and wait until he sits up. He looks at you sighing. "They have depth, you guys do not. Plus, you haven't been showing her wifey material these last few days." You take another deep breath and try to explain yourself, but Eli just shakes his head and says, "You need to step it up if you want her to take you seriously."

He begins laughing, "Like that one meme. I'm not the stepfather, I'm the father who stepped up." He smiles, amused by his own joke. You can't help but smile too, despite the seriousness of the conversation. Looking at him, you take a deep breath and nod, determined to do better.

It was Tuesday after school, and again you were avoiding Jenna. She basically rejected you, but that wasn't going to stop you. You were adamant to make things right and treat her better than that asshole Jacob.

It felt like every day you fucked up and had to apologize to Jenna and every time she'd accept it and move on. You wanted to show her that she deserved better. You wanted to make it up to her, to make her feel special. You wanted to show her that you were the right one for her.

"I shouldn't force her into anything. I should be there whenever she needs me, right?" You ask Eli, but after a few moments, all you hear are snores filling the room. You sigh, shaking your head. You know deep down that if you really want to be there for her, you have to respect her decisions.

Letting her make her own choices is the best way to show that you care. You make a mental note to take a step back and give her the space she needs. It's not easy, but you know it's the right thing to do.

"Wait, wait, wait... so you're telling me Jacob was the one calling you?" Emma asks, and Jenna nods slowly in response. Emma looks at the girl in front of her, confused but resuming her assumption. "And he says some bullshit apology that you accept--" Jenna cuts her off, "It wasn't bullshit."

Emma stares at her, unimpressed. "It was complete bullshit," she scoffs. Jenna looks away, swallowing the lump in her throat. Jenna looks away, tears forming in her eyes. She knew what Emma was saying was possibly true, but she still wanted to believe it was sincere. "Don't cry, Jen..."

Emma reaches out and gently wipes away Jenna's tears. "I'm sorry," she whispers. Jenna looks up and nods, a small smile forming on her lips. "Then Y/N confessed to you? I'm still shocked about that."

Jenna takes a deep breath and nods. "Yeah, it was a surprise. She said she remembered our kiss and wanted something more out of it." Emma takes Jenna's hand in hers and squeezes it. "I'm here for you, always." Jenna looks into Emma's eyes and nods, her smile growing wider. She leans in and hugs Emma.

Emma holds Jenna close and whispers, "It's okay, I'm here for you." Jenna nods, feeling relieved and comforted. She pulls away and smiles, grateful for her friend's support. "Thank you, Em."

Emma smiles and wipes away Jenna's tears. "Anytime," she says. They embrace again, and Jenna can feel the warmth and love radiating from Emma.

It's now nighttime. You're back in your room and Jenna's in hers. You didn't talk to her because she hasn't given you the opportunity to. You lay in your bed, texting Eli.

Jenna exits her room, entering her bathroom. She turns the lights on, raising her phone to take a photo of herself. She was wearing a white silky lingerie nightwear dress. She smiled as she looked at the photo, satisfied with how she looked. She then sent the photo to Jacob, biting her thumb as she waited for his response.

A few moments later, Jacob replied with a string of heart emojis. Jenna smiled, relieved that he was pleased with her look. Her heart began racing as she pressed on to your messages. She started thinking about all the possibilities of what could happen if she sent them to you instead. She took a deep breath and clicked on the photo, her fingers trembling with anticipation. She hit the send button and waited, her heart pounding. She closed her eyes, hoping for the best.

You rise from your bed, exiting your conversation with Eli. You saw the message and opened it. Your eyes widened as the image appeared on your screen.

Until she hears your bedroom door open, she quickly leaves the bathroom, meeting you in the middle of the hallway. She looks up at you with a mix of emotions on her face, not knowing what to say or do.

You take a step forward and bring her into a heated kiss. As she begins to relax into it, she wraps her hands around your neck pulling you closer if that was even possible.

You tap on her thigh and she jumps up, wrapping her legs around your waist. You carry her to your bedroom and lay her gently on the bed. You cover her body with yours as you continue to kiss passionately. She moans, her hands exploring your body as you deepen the kiss.

i don't get Hopes fans' insistence that Claude was fixed by a white woman/man (Byleth) and that he’s better when he's used as a prop for a separate white woman (smellygard). Like they of course don't put it like that but that's deadass what they're saying when they attribute all of Claude’s positive character traits to Byleth and when they cheer so hard for Claude ruining his dreams in the service of a violent imperialist.

Claude and Byleth are better (and straight up GREAT) as equals who help each other grow closer to others and not "well Claude was completely evil until Byleth made him good" and he's DEFINITELY better as an antagonistic force against smellygard than a dumb yesman. like sorry to the Claude "fans" that want him to just be a dumb violent brown boy who only gets fixed by the good white characters but he's an amazing and good person all by himself 🚶

as a disclaimer, as a white woman i won't put words in the mouths of fans of color who like hopes!claude—and many do! but many also don't, at least in part for the reasons you mention, and anything i have to say on the topic will be echoing them. (@butwhatifidothis, for example, who's talked a lot about this specifically from this angle.)

i can understand the argument that byleth influenced claude to grow emotionally closer to people and his trust in her allowed him to break down the walls he would have kept up otherwise. but i think it's more than a little bit silly to attribute hopes!claude's behavior entirely to the absence of byleth. because we have canon proof of what claude looks like without byleth, and it's called "fire emblem three houses", a game in which claude a) doesn't try to take over anything even when given some good opportunities to do so and b) never even considers siding with edelgard. even "well claude didn't have the year at garreg mach" still falls flat when you consider that claude was already a clever and curious person before garreg mach, traits that are, by all accounts, largely absent in his motivations in three hopes.

hopes!claude only works as a tragedy, and even then i find it hard to believe. (and of course, having the series' first POC lord be the Tragic One in a fanservice game, compared to his two white counterparts who make off like kings by comparison, is pretty gross no matter how you slice it.) of the many traits canon claude has, "stupid enough to believe he can help edelgard conquer a continent and then starscream her" is not one of them. it's literally just edelgard's (equally stupid, but at least in-character) canon alliance with the slithers, believing she can turn around and destroy them after depleting her own resources bringing any potential allies she might have had to ruin, but with a golden deer coat of paint. i think that, as a golden deer fan, i can be forgiven for not finding that very appealing, even as an AU, and i'm certainly not paying sixty bucks for it.

seriously, Warriors + three houses could easily have just been another fanservice-y romp like the original, where the 3h characters get to interact with past canon characters and they're all friends and go on adventures together, yay!! but they didn't. they went the most financially foolish route possible and it's not at all surprising that fans weren't interested.

So I've had... Multiple lucid dreams of Punch Out so I'm deciding to share headcanons/moments that have happened

So for context on my end: when lucid dreaming i can feel whenever someone touches me. Let's just say that someone tested their arm on my shoulder for example, yeah i can feel the arm on my shoulder in my dream. Same deal with any kind of pain. Though i can't smell or taste anything that i haven't smelled/tasted before.

Anyways let's get into this

Bear Hugger, unsurprisingly, does give the best hugs... Though he accidentally popped my back with a hug and instantly panicked (i was fine btw)

^ His bear does sometimes show up in the WVBA, which i wouldn't mind... But coming around a corner to be face to face with a full sized bear is TERRIFYING

^^ The squirrel on the other hand was cute actually, very active lil fella...s. yeah there was multiple and they ambushed me once. Had to stay where i was for a bit until Bear Hugger came over to help

Soda is intimidating.... But shockingly friendly. Somehow befriended him and now he likes to just randomly pick me up like a cat (he has randomly picked me up Lion King style before too. Why? I have no idea but it scared the hell outta me)

^ He did give me his soda once actually. If you've ever had Mug Root Beer it tasted like that but a few notches sweeter than that brand (idk if this is because my brain decided to should tastes this way but that's what it reminded me of)

Bald Bull... Is actually surprisingly nice, quiet for the most part but nice... if he's not in a bad mood or if you're not acting like a crazy fan/interviewer.

Did meet Super Macho Man ... Had the same kinda deal with Don, we didn't mix well. Though SMM was trying to showoff his merch/money just because i was new around, and HATED the fact that I was looking at him like he was insane. Low-key his offended face is funny tho

Aran was, unsurprisingly, chaotic as hell. I was a victim of a few pranks, shockingly none too harmful, i just ran nearly close lined into some plastic wrap because he tied to to a doorframe and he put sone of my stuff on high places so i can't reach them without climbing up whatever he put it on... And was shocked seeing me literally climb up it because i refused to ask for help. I think he gives the more harmful pranks to the other boxers.

Aran really likes to point out how short i am (im 5"3'... That mf is 6"1') compared to him by putting his arm casually on my head... Yeah long story short i bit his arm in response and he hasn't done it again

There's something in Hoy's staff (i was handing Hoy his staff for context of how i know this). The top like swirly part is hollow, the rest isn't just that top part and something rattles in it. I don't know if it's just a broken piece of wood or what.

Dragon and Birdie do have a rivalry. Found that out because Dragon nearly nailed me with a shoe somehow- he got Birdie tho

Kohga was hanging out with the royal staff. Not because he liked them or anything, but because he currently had NOTHING to do right now while he was waiting for Mipha to get out of her meeting with Zelda (they were gonna do lunch, his treat). He was currently fucking around with some of the royal guards, and they thought it'd be funny to roast the SHIT out of each other. This dude deadass called him a baked bean, and honestly, most unique fucking roast he's ever had. The other guards seemed to think so, given their loud hoots and hollers. It was a mad house, a few yiga members talking shit to the guards and vise versa.

Sooga was clearly impressed by the commotion when he walked back in with his tea. Sooga took a while in there, but he knew exactly why-Sooga didn't fucking know where they kept their shit in that kitchen. That, and the staff kept hitting on his man, and given Sooga's aversion to women, it kinda meant he deserved a little slack.

"I heard you all screaming from the kitchen. What are you doing?"

Sooga sat at their table, setting down the tea for his master. These were nice cups, he might just steal these.

"Oh my god Sooga, this fucking guy- he called me a BAKED BEAN. Can you fucking believe this?"

The man took a sip of his tea, and Sooga looked at him. Suddenly, Sooga brought his blade to his throat, and that put EVERYONE on edge, forcing them to take weapon. Sooga paid them no mind, looking at Kohga for confirmation.

"Shall I kill him slowly, let him drip blood, or should I make it quick, cut his whole head off?"

"SOOGA! No! Blade DOWN!"

"He insulted you!"

"It's a ROAST session, Sooga!"

Sooga put his blade down slowly, clearly not understanding, but knowing when a command was a command.

"Roasting? There's no roasting in here, nor the kitchen."

"No no, it's like, where you make fun of each other for fun! Watch me do this guy-I maybe shaped like a baked bean, but at least I don't smell like Bokoblin ass. But I mean, you gotta get SOMETHING from your mother."

More whoops and hollers, plenty of people yelling that he wasn't shit, his own boys telling them to respect their leader. Sooga nodded in understanding.

The men behind the guards snickered, and that sort of brought the energy back. Then one of them had a unique idea.

Kohga wasn't gonna fucking lie, that took him out of left field, and DAMN did that cause an uproar amongst them all. Sooga wasn't liking this, but clearly he was doing his best. Kohga straightened up, ready to give it to him right back.

"Alright, alright, piece of shit- you know why I like hanging out with you? Your ugly ass makes me look good my comparison, fucking 'I'm lovin' it' looking ass hair."

Both Yiga and guards laughed at that, clearly amused as all hell. They would've continued, but some other guard walked in, letting them know the king requested them. Kohga told them goodbye as they eventually left, and as he took a sip of his tea, Sooga turned in his direction.

"Master Kohga?"

"Yeah?"

"Please don't make me roast you again. It felt...sickening."

Kohga chuckled. God, he was cute.

"Don't worry, one-time deal."

"Good. Now, do you...think I'm actually ugly? If my appearances isn't up to your standards-"

"Shut up, Sooga. You're fucking stupid, but you're not ugly at ALL,"

Kohga reached up under his chin, giving him a little bit of a scratch. Sooga melted into it, starting to put his weight into him. He was such a good boy.

Zelda and Mipha gave them an odd look, before Mipha giggled in clear amusement.

"Are we interrupting something?"

Hook and Ursula

It might not seem like it with James, but he can make a pretty impressive dish when he applies himself. When Smee isn't there to prepare his meals (and when he has the motivation to do so), he'll treat himself with something sweet or healthy.

Ursula will probably cut corners from using magic, but no one can deny that her cooking is to kill for. She has exquisite taste, so it shouldn't be super surprising that she knows what she would want for herself. (Would deadass give Flotsam and Jetsam a five-star meal just because she can asdfasdf.)

Decent cooks:

Hades and Facilier

Now for Hades, I say decent cause he at least knows his way around a grill (from the pool party episode in htas). It's nothing really outstanding, but he's not completely clueless when it comes to making food.. even if he doesn't necessarily need to eat.

Facilier knows the basics of cooking, but that's probably about it considering his work schedule. He knows his way around the kitchen for sure, to an extent that is. A homemade meal is nice at times, though he usually prefers to eat out when he can (the guy loves food, there's no doubt about it).

Can't cook:

Jafar and Gaston

If anything, Jafar sees cooking as menial labor and thinks it's below him. Which is fine since he really can't cook for shit anyway, it's not like he doesn't know what to do.. he just doesn't want to do it honestly.

I didn't want to go for the "clueless guy in kitchen" trope, but I feel like it's quite fitting in Gaston's case. The guy can hunt and there's no denying it.. he just can't do anything beyond that. Not to mention, he'll probably dub it as "not my job" with his ignorant mindset.

I GOT TO SEE THE FNAF MOVIE ON THE DAY IT RELEASED IN AUS AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH im so happy i did. I kinda need to talk about. EVERYTHING that happened. As this is what i just do now when i get all hyperfixated on stuff. but maybe a lil review for people that don't want spoilers (if anyone actually sees this), any spoilers will be under the cut. you have been warned. (i also go off about thinking about theories i apologise)

NO SPOILERS So I liked it. I think it was a good, FUN movie. i say fun because. IT WAS VERY MUCH FUN. It didn't take itself deadly seriously, and while part o f me was interested how it would go if it did, i'm also EXTREMELY happy it didn't as i feel that would've made it's. bad moments bad in a less. than funny way. I wish Matthew Lillard was in it a lil more and I don't think it's like. perfect. i had a few gripes with some of the scenes (which i'll get into under the cut) BUT.

overall? loved it. 10/10 100% recommend you watch it. Also people y'all should never trust the critic reviews for movies like these because they don't CARE about the plot. they don't KNOW fnaf, nor are in t he fanbase. ofc a fucking 40 year old that knows nothing about fnaf isn't gonna like it. firstly, getting this out the way because i had a fucking STROKE when i saw matpat. WHAT A FUCKING LIAR. WHAT A LITTLE SHIT(lovingly)!!! secondly vanessa being afton's daughter wasn't that surprising. When i realised that michael wasn't willy's son (like bio or anything) my first thought was "oh well he has to have some type of child" because. scott does that, like in his books. things get changed up sometimes but most things stay the same. aka him having at least one child, just means he didn't get two deadones as well. So when vanessa showed up (i forgot she was in it lmao) i was like. OH YEAH THAT'D. WORK I GUESS. and just assumed immediately thats what they were doing.

ESPECIALLY WHEN SHE WAS GETTING ALL PISSY AT MIKE? like that was a lil obvious she was trying to hide that her father committed the murders cause she didn't want any backlash.

I cannot judge children for their acting because they are children. But i will say one of the children (cough eric) was looking at the camera before. you can see his eyes focusing on the guy behind it. NOT A BIG DEAL I WAS JUST OBSERVING AND FOUND THAT DISTRACTING. also abby's actor was cute i just think a few scenes are a lil iffy with her (she is a child im not blaming her).

vanessa's and mike's romance. what a. thing huh. kinda crazy considering in an alternate reality (the canon universe) mike is william's son and Vanessa isn't. feels kinda weird. but laso like if me MYSELF was vanessa and saw mike? that pathetic man? that absolute sopping WET cat of a man? yeah. fair. i'd be down bad.

Please for the love of everything good in life, do not expect your cashiers to read your mind. I can do a lot of things but I can't read your mind. If I could read minds, I'd run off and join the carnival.

If you have stuff on the belt, I'm gonna assume you want it until you tell me otherwise. I have many customers who don't speak English who can communicate this with me. I have a couple customers who are deaf or have developmental delays who communicate with me just fine. So really there's no excuse why an able bodied native English speaker can't do the same.

I just had a lady go off on me because I "took the liberty of adding stuff on without consulting her". It was on the belt! She didn't say anything to me about price checking something before getting another brand. It's a rush on a Saturday, lines are in apparel, I don't have time to consult on everything and she didn't even show me she had another brand. I don't care to price check or take shit off but tell me that before you go off on me. Also the other brand was on the other end of the belt from the first thing. How in the world am I supposed to know you don't want something unless you goddamn tell me so? I don't need a reason. I don't need your life story. I ain't gonna judge you. Just a "I don't want this", "no", "can you price check this first", a headshake, anything. Why in the goddamn world would I add shit onto an order if you're not getting it?

She also got mad because she said there wasn't a sign saying toilet paper/paper towels are limited to 1 each. That's funny because most everyone else in this store only got one. And my team lead said there's a sign. I checked when I went to lunch, there's signs all over the place back there. They even got signs on stuff we're not actually limiting yet. And it's a goddamn pandemic? How are you surprised there's a limit. She got mad when I took the 2nd pack of paper towels off after I told her twice there's a limit. It's not like I had it took back to the shelf right then, it was under my register. I need to keep my belt going and I don't want something you're not getting in my way. I asked my team lead if I could give her the 2nd pack. Either my TL was in a mood for no exceptions too or they could feel my "I don't wanna give the exception" vibe, but she said 1 per customer. I'm one of her favorite cashiers/backup CSMs so she backed me up. When we can barely keep the stuff in stock, and it's vital for public health, 1 is the limit. You need more, the stores next door and across the street are still open. I can't stop you from getting one pack here, one pack there. Or you can come back another day.

I'm not gonna pretend that I'm in the wrong here. I know I'm not and the attitude she gave me is absolutely uncalled for. She's a grown ass brat in the body of a middle aged woman. If I tell you there's a limit, there's a limit. If I give an exception to one person I gotta give it to everyone. If everyone behind her saw me let it slide, they'll want me to let it slide for them too. Absolutely no one else in the store has ever given me that kind of attitude and that's not acceptable. She doesn't like the rules here? Shop somewhere else, she won't be missed. I put up with a lot of bullshit but that situation is one thing I'm not putting up with. I was barely controlling my emotions so bad it felt like I was shaking. I genuinely, deadass, hope she doesn't come back. I hope she sees me and goes in another line from now on. But jokes on her, if I happen to be CSMing while she's giving attitude to one of my cashiers I ain't giving no rule bending or any apologies for doing exactly what we have to do.

[ . . . look up the definition of "nervous wreck" and the first thing you'd see is hyunsuk himself. he'd be so nervous bc the act of meeting a parent makes him sweat BULLETS DAWG and it's not just A parent, it's YOUR parent!!! don't get me wrong when i say that though because he'd be so prepared, reading or learning about your culture, asking you questions, literally anything to get a smidge of knowledge so he can at least know or talk about something to your parent. he'd also ask you basic words or phrases like "hello", "thank you", "how are you?", small things like that (｡•́︿•̀｡) he's so open to learning new things and getting to dive deep into you and your culture bc he loves you so much n is genuinely interested in what makes you, you... i'm heartbroken rn. when actually meeting your guardian, he's already knows that they don't speak korean but is super attentive and has convos through you, basically your his translator n vice versa for your parent (T^T)

[ . . . goes in all confident n cocky like he got that shit in the bag, only for him to hear your parent speak a language he has no knowledge of and is deadass like ‎(·•᷄ࡇ•᷅ ) but but but but it takes more than that to knock this boy down!!! after his lil mental breakdown, he bounces back and uses you as a translator-mediator for him and your grown ups! is genuinely interested in the convo even though it isn't exactly one-on-one, he loves it nonetheless (T^T) your parents expose you and your hobbies as a kid or how you acted LOL, gets shown extremely embarrassing adorable photo albums of your childhood from cute lil baby, to your tweens, and your teens! when i say that they're embarrassing... boi... they're silly goofy cornball to the MAX, it's to the point where jihoon teases you and that teasing makes you want to cry while sliding down the wall with tear streaks, snot bubbles n all my boi. do not fret though! jihoon and your parent coo over how adorable you are bc they both absolutely adore seeing you grow up in pictures! for hoon especially, he feels like he's growing up with you while looking at them :')

✶ kanemoto yoshinori.

[ . . . super duper timid, don't get me wrong, yoshi is known for working hard when it comes to learning new languages like did y'all see how he still studies korean on that one t-map episode... HOW CUTE no but seriously, just like all the boys, he so open about learning new languages and new ways to communicate with others and what's better than having a s/o that speaks another language that he's more than willing to learn? meeting your folks was most definitely was yoshi's idea and when you told him a set date where you would go out to lunch with your guardian(s), he was ecstatic! he already knew that they didn't speak japanese, nor korean so he was cramming all sorts of knowledge about your culture and language before he met them. you help him study with little flashcards and once he gets more comfortable with the language, you start having simple convos every day. once he finally meets your parent(s), he has a pretty good amount of knowledge of your language to the point where he can keep up a conversation with them. he'll need your help here and there but other than that, it's smooth sailing! <3!!!

✶ kim junkyu.

[ . . . y'all know that one confused face he makes where he tilts his head, mouth slightly opened in shock with a mega confused look on his face? yeahhh, that's him as soon as he heard you speaking a different language on the phone one day. he honestly was caught by surprised and once you got off the phone, he asked you about it which eased you into the topic of your language, culture, your family, etc. he was super intrigued and very open-minded, asking questions here and there, nodding his head as you went along. you telling him all of this new information had helped him a lot once he finally got the chance to meet your folks! also used you as a translator like hyunsuk and jihoon to talk to your parents and actually had some great questions about the language and culture. was super excited to learn and compared it to korean culture to see the differences or similarities! super open and intrigued, he was literally like (๑˙꒳​˙)ฅ(ʾ˘ʿ๑) the whole time LMAOOOO

[ . . . actually met them on accident while you and him were out shopping. someone ran up to you and was like "(y/n)??!?!?!?" and you were like 0-0 "(parent name)???? what are you doing here??!!!?!?!" you hugged them and started talking which caught yedam off guard. you accidentally forgot yedam was there and when you remembered him, you were quick to introduce them. super polite boi, bowed, introduced himself, etc. only to realize that your parent(s) don't speak korean nor japanese even if his japanese is broken and not the best, it was still worth a shot in his opinion you obvi had talked to your folks about THE bang yedam so ofc they know OF him!!! had to reintroduce himself again, but uses you as the translator. super grateful that you were able to help him maintain a small convo and also extremely happy that he got to meet your parent(s)!!! tbh, he's just happy to be there 😭😭😭

[ . . . so confused, yet so intrigued. he had never heard your language before but was super interested from the get-go. he already knew your parent(s) didn't speak korean but he was still willing to try his hardest to win over their hearts!!! subtly tries to ask for help when learning your language but not making it obvious so yk that he's preparing for when he meets your parents LOLLLL you soon catch on though 😭 jeongwoo learns simple phrases like "hello", "good bye", "excuse me", "thank you", "you're welcome", etc. and he actually does a little more research to learn more so he can keep the convo going. once he does meet your folks, he's SO NERVOUS. sweaty palms-awkward smile-bouncing leg-nervous but you help him calm down with some hand-holding and cheek kisses which he appreciates GREATLY he does a great job at conversing with you and your family, has a small-ish idea of what's being said, not 100% sure but by the looks of it you both see that it's going well, much to his surprise, not to you though, you had faith in woo :')

[ . . . little king cow baby is shaking in his abnormally big teenage boots. nervous out of all the boys ong... literally look through his search history which is full of "what to do when meeting foreign s/o parent(s)", "what to say to s/o parent(s) when you meet them for the first time", "what to wear when meeting parent(s) for the first time", "how to say 'i love your child very much' in [your language]" which is honestly so freaking cute 😭 literally goes in clueless and slightly overdressed but your folks find it sooooo endearing (⇀‸↼‶) they can sense that he's nervous just by the literal BEADS of sweat forming and him anxiously looking everywhere BUT your parent(s) eyes LMFAOOOO you're folks actually attempted to learn korean because junghwan's your first serious bf and they can see how much you care and love him. they initiate the conversations and ask junghwan about his family, the members, treasure, how it's like to be in a well-known kpop group. much to his surprise because he was learning phrases in your language to converse with them. a jumbled convo of korean and [y/l] words... awwwwww!!! honestly loved him from the get-go and see why you love him (^人<)〜☆

Then again this fic does seem to function on the basis of someone being born an innocent or a monster and none of their action affect that so maybe it’s not surprising.

Honestly, I have no idea what about Dimitri and his actions that make him so unforgiveable in the minds of Edelstans when they... like EdeIgard. Like, what specific line did Dimitri cross and EdeIgard didn't that makes the former irredeemable and the latter fine?

Because, even if we're being flat-out wrong and say that Dimitri was always of completely sound mind when he did all of the stuff he did - trying to torture Randolph, charging into Gronder without thinking about his friends and men following him - and if we go so far as to say that his actions during the timeskip itself - killing Imperial soldiers, officials, children - were always 100% unjustified murder, when we compare that to what all EdeIgard's done?

Spearheading a war that lasts five years, being directly responsible for the deaths of what is, being laughably generous, hundreds of people. Laying siege on a building she knew held many, many defenseless people, without letting them evacuate. Starving her citizens. Hiding behind her citizens when backed in a corner. Invading a neutral nation. Assisting in the murder of Rufus by giving Cornelia troops. Conscripting her citizens (or, at best, being completely ignorant of what Thales is doing to her citizens despite supposedly keeping a close eye on him). Ethnic cleansing, both in the sense of driving out and actively persecuting the religious as well as wanting to end the Nabatean race. Utilizing Demonic Beasts. Keeping Rhea in decrepit conditions but still going on with her war despite saying that it was Rhea's influence that caused her to declare war in the first place - with it being revealed that she kept Rhea alive so that she'd eventually be given over to TWS. Spying on her citizens (Hubert's ending with Dorothea). Having a secret police (Hubert's ending with Shamir). Arranging political marriages in exchange for a country's freedom (Petra's ending with Hubert).

And that's just what she does post ts. And probably isn't even everything. And doesn't include things she does in pre ts that continue on to post ts.

So, again, even with the absolute worst interpretation of Dimitri you could possibly have (including just deadass lies), what on fuckin' earth makes EdeIgard of all characters the more morally sound option over him? She does far worse shit far more often and doesn't even try to make up for it, like Dimitri does his shit. She doesn't even regret what she does! By her own admission (in FEH at least)! All she does is never shut up about how her path is totally the only way Fodlan could ever ever get peace and- ohhhh, wait, that's all the fic has her do too. okay so relating to how u answered ur last ask.. i’ve noticed that sam and yu.... especially sam seems to have really embodied shi de. like, he’s really digested shi de as a character and it shows whenever he answers questions on lives. he refers to himself as shi de at some points (so does yu but i’ve noticed it more from sam) which is interesting because it could be the first time i’ve seen it to this extent. gotta give props to sam’s method acting (at least it seems to be the approach he takes what with really committing to being drunk and all) because its really not easy to immerse yourself so fully into a character. kind of unrelated but if you want to see a darker take on method acting i recommend watching the korean movie Method. also unrelated but something i think about a lot bc this is really cute.... in some live sam and yu were doing sam was talking about how lucky he was to have this support and opportunity and have all these nice people working with him and he was deadass getting misty eyed and emotional it was kinda adorable meanwhile yu looked so endeared. honestly what a mood. 😂 he’s very adorable and at first i was just really surprised at how completely different to shi de he was (duh its acting but still sam is like a big dog who doesn’t know he’s not a puppy anymore lmao)

Sam referring to himself as Gao Shi De isn't surprising tbh... ive seen a couple of actors do that but Sam made it his personal mission to make sure that we, the audience, can truly understand what it's like to be in an unrequited love for 10+ yrs (he said this in a couple of interviews, i can't find the links, sorry). he put a LOT of thoughts into his character... if u watch their hotpot IG live, there's a portion where he explained Gao Shi De's mindset in depth.

en fait, SamYu's valentine's day IG live was what REALLY spurred me on to write my SamYu fic... (i mean Yu kneeling on a pillow by Sam's feet put naughty thoughts in my head but i didn't really wanna write anything until Sam randomly said 'I love you' to Yu, UNPROMPTED)

as u've said, Sam is extremely invested in Gao Shi De. this is literally the first time he's this invested in a character (at least the first time i see him this invested)... and, like, Sam has always been a bit of a quiet person most of the time (esp when he’s in a ‘crowd’ he’s usually only a crackhead around ppl he’s ‘close with’) but, before S2EP2 aired, i got the sense that he was very withdrawn... as if he was worried about the reception of S2EP2 (my man lost 10kg out of stress okay asfghjkldi) i'd be worried too... it's such a controversial scène but it's also pivotal to his character & speak of who Gao Shi De is. and i gotta say... that scene would be the scene of Sam’s career. Yu’s career too... like, wow,,, wtf, why did they have to go so hard???

that IG live literally had me asking 'where does Sam end and Shi De begin?' and it's a concept i toy around in my fic.

i think, Sam’s immersion in his role as Gao Shi De is due to pressure & encouragement from the director... like, director Ray Jiang put quite a lot of pressure on Sam when it came to portraying Gao Shi De & even expect him to take the lead amongst the younger actors as he’s the most experience from the lot... but i believe that it’s that kind of environment that provided Sam with the ‘right’ mindset & encouragement to play Gao Shi De so well.

Sam's passion for Gao Shi De is énorme... unimaginable. and, in WBL's first clubhouse broadcast, when asked if he's out of character yet, Sam instead replied that 'Gao Shi De's character is life changing and he will always remember this character'.  (fun fact: Luo Luo said he's not out of character yet while Chihtian said it’s hard to answer) (twt translation thread) (random observation but i feel like Ray Chang’s literally the only person in the entire cast who’s already gotten out of his character lol )

(also another fun fact, if i remember correctly, Sam has aspiration to become a director... but, like, don’t quote me on that, idk if that’s correct asfghjkldi)

as for Yu, this is his first drama and he's the fckn lead... the role was basically 'written' for him... like, in an IG live/FB live, the executive producer, Qiao-jie, said that they discovered Yu's song 'aqua blue lover' as they were writing the swimming pool scene and thought that it fit with the series. they immediately wanted him to audition... the team only heard his song saw saw pictures from his album jacket... not even his MV! they haven't even seen his acting and didn't even know if he spoke Chinese!! and bcs of Yu, Shu Yi became half-japanese! 

he felt a lot of pressure to play Shu Yi well and even cried at their wrap-up party (Ray & Chihtian said this during first IG live)

The few times that you did visit him, you spent a little time with Tomura before he hit the age of 15 and became an angsty teenager locked in his room playing hours upon hours of Minecraft. You still see him as a little brother and he somewhat considers you a sibling as well.

-Kurogiri: Just like Tomura, he already knew as well. I mean, he spent a great deal of life employed under AFO and of course he meets you many times as well. You two spend a good amount of time together when you visit since you enjoy his company. He’s quiet but good at conversation and even better with listening. Sometimes you might feel bad for always venting to him when you’d visit your grandpa, but he was a good friend so it couldn’t be helped. And man does he know how to keep a secret too!

-Toga: “What??? That old man?!” She’s really surprised since you don’t really act much like him and you don’t really resemble him either. You reassure her that he’s your dad (whether by blood, or adoption depending on the reader). So then Toga grills you on the big boss because she’s curious to see what life was like with him. She won’t bring it up in front of him the next time she sees him either.

-Dabi: “You’re related to the big guy? Couldn’t tell at first since he looks like a wrinkly testicle and all.” Dabi teases as he sits at the bar, and you smack him playfully. “Hey, he can be pretty awful sometimes, but he’s still my dad. Watch it, bacon bits.” You threaten him with a smirk and he scoffs. Dabi doesn’t really care to be honest with you. To him, being related to AFO is a lot less worse that being related to his father as he would put it. 

-Spinner: He just kinda chokes on his food a little bit before looking at you with a wide mouth. You laugh at him and shake your head. “WHY DIDN’T YOU SAY ANYTHING!?” You shrug it off and keep playing video games. “Why didn’t anyone ask me?” Spinner just kinda sits there dumfounded while you tap away at the keyboard and swivel the mouse around as you game. It’s gonna take him some time to believe it.

-Magne: She wants you to tell her everything (much like Toga did) because she’s curious about things now. She’s a little annoyed since you never said anything but you figure it wasn’t a big deal. You do manage to find a little comfort and telling her about some of the kinder moments you shared with AFO. The moments when he’s not a wanted villain but a father instead. The moments when you two would try to watch a movie together, or when he plays chess with you while drinking tea. Sometimes he wires you money when needed, but you don’t like asking for his help so you don’t say it often. 

-Twice: He’s a little confused but he also doesn’t see how this affects your friendship at all so it’s okay. I mean it’s a cool random fact for him to have learned but beside that, it really has nothing much to do with him. The only issue would be if he were to ever end up dating you. THEN it might seem to come up as an issue, but for now things are relatively normal between you two.

-Muscular: “Okay? And?” On the outside he plays it off like it doesn’t matter but on the inside, he’s having a hard time trying to grasp whether or not you’re fucking with him. He’s got like one braincell and that bitch is on vacation right now. He doesn’t want to ask anyone for help so he’ll deadass steal your phone when you aren’t looking and scroll through it until he realizes you’re telling the truth. By then it’s too late because you catch him with your phone and that’s death penalty in your books. Let’s hope you didn’t inherit AFO’s quirk for muscular’s sake...

-Moonfish: “???” He is confused but rolls with it. You may notice him keeping a bit of a distance from now on since he relates you to basically being a bit of royalty. He knows to make sure not to rub you the wrong way or else his head could be on the chopping block. Lucky for him, you really wouldn’t ever call your father for help like that because you could handle it yourself...and also because you’d never hear the end of his lecturing you

-Mustard: Tries to get on your good side even if you aren’t affiliated much with the LOV. He does it in the hopes of rising within the league/vanguard action squad ranks. You simply roll your eyes at this and continue on with everyday life. You don’t have the time to explain to him that befriending you wouldn’t benefit a single thing since you don’t get mixed up with your dad’s little villainy group. Still, you watch him exhaust himself trying because it’s funny lol

-Compress: He has to admit it surprised him a little bit since he had never even heard of it...and he knew a LOT about All for one! Then he figures out that you weren’t talked about or even mentioned as a way to protect your safety. IT all makes a lot more sense that way of course. Aside from all of this, he never wavers with the amount of respect he offers you. It doesn’t change and you’re thankful he treats you the same as usual instead of changing himself around you after the news. Sometimes you wonder if he really should’ve been a villain in the first place.
