the empath phenomena that's emerged in the past 5-10 years on the internet is borderlining on cult mentality. The term empath was originally coined in J.T. McIntosh's science fiction novel "The empath" which came out in 1956. It's about telepaths.

it very often feels like people online use faux psychology about empaths to honeytrap people. Once they've gotten people's attention they'll start talking about "narcissistic abuse", "the evil narcissist", and how people with low/no empathy are dangerous or inferior to "empaths".

It's easy to recruit people into belief structures that "benefit" them. especially if you're pandering to and preying on victims of abuse that want to feel seen and heard. The recruitees will then spread the word because they've been indoctrinated into the belief structure. This is what cults do.

This isn't a dig at people with hyper empathy. Use critical thinking when surfing the internet.

You are not superior for having more empathy than another person. Actions speak louder than words, and just because someone doesn't experience empathy doesn't mean their actions are 'bad'.

i love being a man and i love loving men. it took me so much time to accept who i was because of how everyone treated people who liked men and who identified as a man.

when i was a kid i used to say that i hated all men and wanted them all dead; my mom now brings this up to put my gender identity down and asks "you hated men so much and now you want to be one?" and the thing is that... i didn't hate men, i hated abusive people.

i have been abused by both men and women in my life, but on the internet (especially when you're a kid) people only talk about how men are the only abusive people and how women are always amazing and can do no wrong. i even started not seeing the women who abused me as abusive because i thought that only men could be REALLY abusive. it fucked my brain up for a while because even when i said that i liked men to my friends they would react with jokes like "oh im sorry about that lol" or "ew men are terrible people, women are better" and like- don't fucking say that shit?

i even denied my own gender identity for so long, telling myself that i was just a tomboy or something like that. it hurt me so much.

today i love being a man, i love being attracted to men, i love masulinity, because men are beautiful and amazing as well; just like women can be abusive and repulsive, men can be loving and gorgeous.

im just so happy that i can finally be proud of loving men and masculinity without guilt and pressure.

Imagine if vox woke up in hell as just a program. Like, he woke up and was just another piece of info in the internet, a piece of info capable of gaining consciousness and making himself more, like an AI.

I think the ending of ghosts would've been easier as a viewer had it not felt like such a split second decision but. it was, was it not? I would've liked to have been prepared for it throughout the entire season, but, whether intentional or not, it was bittersweet to feel what alison must've felt. she did what was best for mia, and while I love the idea of her growing up around the ghosts, I am genuinely so proud of alison for making the hardest decision that she thought she'd already made. and I'm even prouder of my silly little fictional ghosts for letting her go, for allowing her and her family to grow and change. that was the most selfless decision and it really shows how much they've changed and grown, season one ghosts would never have done something so hard. letting go is bittersweet and it hurts, but it doesn't mean the end

its so shocking to me the direction theyve decided to take with the vampires this season. In the past seasons the only time nadja nador and laszlo have been united was in their theme of vampires live forever and so it makes sense theyre assholes. I love them all but theyre jerks who mistreat everyone and anyone, often without even realizing it.

But... thats not true anymore. Last season saw laszlo raise a kid, and care about him. He felt bad when he forgot it all. He cared and he got hurt, thats soemthing the other vampires havent let themselves really truely do. And the thing is, Laszlo seems changed for it. He notices something is up with Guillermo, he offers advice, and proabbbly is even going to offer help. Hes kind to Nandor, and admits hsi own faults. The way he had been acting before wasnt a product of his vampire nature, vampires can be kind and caring.

Contrasting that is Nadja who is as selfish and concided as ever. Hurting the person shes closest with(dolly) and not even being able to recognize its her own fault. No one helps her, no one cares about her issues, and she has no close female friends. The guide once again is mistreated due to the truely horrible crime of wanting friends. And the guide really poses a serious question into the way the coven are living. Theyre assholes to other vampires, not just humans, like theyve led guillermo to believe.

Nadjas activily mirroring Nandor in the past few seasons. She has someone who looks up to her, cares about her, and shes treating her like shit. And finally nandor is unchanged as always( the last remant of the idea that vampires dont change) leading guillermo on then getting upset when he wants to be a vampire. The only differnce now is that he doesnt have his normal defense anymore. Laszlos changed and grown, whats Nandors excuse?

Ouroboros is a not a different entity type to the rest of the TVA? (Loki season 2)

I haven’t seen anyone on here talk about this specifically so I wanted to hear someone’s opinion on it.

In the first time we meet O.B. Mobius doesn’t remember him. This is portrayed as humour - Mobius gets it wrong when he tries to recite the details of their last meeting, confused glances between Loki and Mobius - but I think it could mean the variant’s memories were wiped and O.B.’s wasn’t. This would mean O.B. was different to the rest of the TVA. This could be through the fact that he was forgotten by HWR, working with him, or just immune to it in a way HWR wasn’t aware of. The fact that the R&A department office (workshop?? I’m not sure what to call it) was so buried away also links to this, as it could mean he is hidden somehow.

I don’t know this factor could be useful to them in eps 5&6, but maybe he is used to remind Mobius of his entire time at the TVA. If anyone has any other ideas or evidence against/ for this theory I would love to hear it! I haven’t really developed this idea a lot myself.
