When Nik first meets you, you try to rob him.
You’d been younger then. Wilder, scared of a world you struggled to survive in. With hardly a roof over your head, always an empty belly, chased by ghosts of a past you struggled to leave behind. You were desperate, constantly looking for a way out, clawing and scrambling at the stone alleyways in hopes you could one day see the sky.
He finds you like that- as a dirty, fierce little stray. In a grimy jacket, eyes wild, dirt smeared across your face, you hold up a knife to him and demand his wallet. Stupid, you know, but shivering, scared of the world that was destined to eat you alive, choosing a target far bigger than yourself.
Cute, he’d admitted later.
It takes little effort from him to twist the knife from your hand, examining it as you froze in a shock that only seems to multiply when he asks you if you want a warm meal. The offer is too tempting to ignore to your growling stomach, but in reality it’s the barest hint of softness behind his eyes that has you follow him like a kicked stray out of the cold.
Little did you know, behind that softness lay his own hunger. A deep, prowling thing that circled you beyond your sight.
He takes you to a quiet little eatery, out of the way, only three tables in what amounted to a shed. One of his favorites, he tells you with a smirk. The cook gives you both a look, suspicious of the man who had escorted in a woman much younger than him, dirty and nervous as you are. Nik lets you order, smirking still as you nervously pick something small, cheap, and he instead orders something large and warm for you. He watches you scarf down the entirety of your meal, gazing at him suspiciously all the while. He’s quiet- appraising you later realized.
You know of men like him. Gangsters, thugs, men who work alongside the mafia or even worse. Men from the underbelly of Russian society who walk in plainclothes and hold dark secrets. You know the danger of accepting favors from men like him. Be it your body, your servitude, or a debt paid in blood, men like those you feared would come to collect in due course, would bleed you dry and leave you ruined given the chance. The only charity they offered served their own interests, the cause they flew their flag for.
It became clear as time grew that Nikolai was not much different, that he had taken one look at you and had seen the thing you never saw in yourself:
Potential.
In the end he tells you if you ever need work to come find him, and find him you do.
You’d been foolish, you think back, if only because you’d been so young, naive without the lessons he would soon teach you.
It’s simple things at first. Taking packages and dropping them off at seemingly random locations, picking up things from shady characters who’d let their eyes rake down your form. In exchange Nikolai offers you a warm place to sleep, a roof over your head, hot meals and shelter from the ghosts that chase you. Distant, professional, but there all the same. Steadfast, waiting for your skittishness to shed itself before he comes closer. Waiting. Expectant.
Curious, you’d watch as he tinkers on his helicopter, cleans his cache of weapons, fixes the aging appliances in his house outside Saratov where the remains of the Soviet legacy lay etched between the old manors of the дворянство.
You observe, quiet at a distance, and ask him about the life he led, to which he was vague.
“I fix things.” He tells you simply, snapping a cartridge back into place with practiced efficiency.
You wondered then, if he was trying to fix you too.
He welcomes your interests in his work, skittish though you are, ready to dart back to a safe distance at a moment’s notice. You peer over his shoulder as he works at his tool bench in the hangar, assist him as he tightens screws on his helicopter, pass him ingredients as he cooks dinner for you both on his stove. Rather than answer any questions you pose, Nik elects to show you himself, putting his hands over yours and allowing them to guide you with ease in his tasks.
His protege, he introduces you as to those that ask. The younger woman he had taken under his tutelage. You’d almost resented it at the time, still suspicious, ready to flee at the first instance of betrayal. Yet inside you knew it was too late. In the same way that wolves became dogs, you found yourself near the fire of him, resting your weary bones as he offered you a place to stay.
Even if he held a leash behind his back.
Nik is careful, stern as a teacher but tender as a friend. In moments of learning his voice is whip-sharp to correct any mistakes, but in the quiet evenings he is almost soft, blunted at the edges in a way that betrays his indulgence in you. Each time he gets close, you try to ignore the way his touch lingers, holding back, greedy but restrained as your heart flutters inside your chest. Purposeful, careful not to spook you lest it ruin the things he’s predestined for you.
You try not to miss him when he leaves you behind for work, reminding yourself this is only temporary, to not let your guard down lest he burn you. He will someday stop having a use for you, and you will once again walk into the wild seeking shelter under a different name.
When he returns, you try to ignore the relief that bubbles inside your chest, the desperate hunger of a lonely thing looking for warmth.
You don’t see the glittering silver collar he envisions in his mind.
The teaching moments are constant. It’s not long before Nikolai begins taking you on assignments rather than leaving you at the house alone. You become familiar with the inside of the chopper, and learn to doze in the co-pilot seat when you are allowed. You help him catalog his ammo and supplies, listen over your headset as he explains piloting to you. In meetings with suppliers and clients he tells you quietly to stay inside the chopper behind him, and you peek out to see the eyes of his ‘friends’ flicking towards you. Curious, even as Nik stood as a stalwart wall between you and them.
In the passenger seat of his truck you learn to carefully balance his chosen rifle on your lap, feeling the stiffness ease from your shoulders as he lays a heavy hand across your nape. On long drives he stops at sunset to admire the view, and you hover close to his side as he smokes long drags of cigars. When he encourages you to try you cough on the smoke, and he thumps you between your back gently, chuckling even when you shoot him a glare. The next morning finds you somewhere new, and the lessons resume.
All the while his careful guidance reminds you to keep your eyes up, to stay alert, focused, to heed his warnings and obey his orders when given.
Nik is an endless wealth of knowledge when it comes to his profession. He’s deliberate in the things he teaches you: how to calculate the distance of a target 100 meters away, what the warning lights on the helicopter console meant, how to handle the kickback of a machine gun, where the major organs of the body were located and how to slice them open in deadly fashion. You take to the lessons easily as predators take to the snap of bone between jaws, and can’t help but preen with every accomplishment, every feat you manage to show him.
“Good girl.” He offers when you finish the task assigned to you, noticing the way you stiffen, a shiver racing down your spine at the praise. Testing the waters, quietly moving goalposts in his mind as he maps your future before you.
When you fell ill during that first winter he nurses you, sits your sluggish form up in bed against his chest and watches as you finish what little food you could stomach. When you insist on drinking with him one evening, pass beyond your tolerance, he smooths a hand over your back as you bend over the toilet bowl and whispers soothing reassurances in your ear. When you cut your palm on the edge of a tool bench in his helicopter hangar he lets you squeeze his hand as he pours alcohol over the gash, reminding you the wound would make you stronger. When you take a swig of the vodka to settle your nerves after your first mission with him he hums happily, murmuring an ounce of praise that settles low in your veins like warm liquor.
You let him, suspicious though you are, so desperate for a place to belong, to be taken care of, to have somewhere in which to shelter the storm. Nikolai is your mentor, yes, but more than that Nik shapes himself into your ally, into someone you can turn to, to a man you look to and seek praise from like turning your face to the sun.
Teaching you to eat from the palm of his hand.
You trail behind him at a distance, eyes softening and heart weary, seeking a soft place in which to rest itself. Nikolai is not a soft man, you remind yourself. Tender as he can be, his true heart remains a shadowed thing like all the men and women he keeps close. Even so you cling fast to that same shadow, hovering at his side as he makes a place for you there.
He’d plucked you from the wilds, had taken you like a starved, injured, feral animal into his care. You’d growled and snapped at him, unsure, suspicious of the twinkle behind his eyes that betrayed intentions you couldn’t quite discern. It was as if he knew the things you were capable of before even you could see them, the way he shaped you slowly under his care.
You stay there when he introduces you to his allies, to Price who looks at your skittish, suspicious nature and to Nik with a disapproving but knowing stare. You hear the meaning to it later as you creep downstairs to listen to them smoke outside.
“I won’t say anything.” Price tells him gruffly. “God knows I have my own vices. Just don’t ruin her, Nik.”
Nikolai takes a long, purposeful pause as he considers.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, captain.”
Price chuffs, but comments no further.
Slowly, Nik begins to move closer to you, getting you used to his touch. It seems incidental at first. Squeezing too close behind you in the kitchen and offering a chuckling apology as you feel his hips press against your spine; leaning over you to inspect your work, rubbing a hand between your shoulders after a hard day and relishing the tiniest little sigh you offer in return.
In his teachings he is deliberate, gauging your progress under a keen eye, offering life lessons just as he purrs little doses of praise at your progress. He knows you wouldn’t leave now, you’ve become too accustomed to a life under his care. So slowly, Nik begins to test the boundaries of your trust in him, pushing a little farther each time and leaving you dizzy in the wake of him.
In the hot days of summer he works with his shirt off, the broad span of his back glistening with sweat. You tell yourself it is just the warmth of the sun that lays upon your cheeks, but even then you find your eyes straying, catching his own knowing gaze at a distance. Teasing, waiting, expectant.
“Smells good.” He hums over your shoulder as you made breakfast one morning, bacon simmering in the pan. “You’d make a good wife.”
When you feel heat rise to your face, stammering and scandalized, Nik only laughs.
“Шучу.” He grins. “Just kidding.”
It doesn’t seem to be that much of a joke, not with the way Nik is so comfortable around you these days, easing into your personal space just enough to make your heart race, dangerous thoughts of the ‘what if?’ lingering even after he’s pulled away.
On longer jobs he puts a cot in the back of the chopper to sleep on. Normally he likes to sleep in the pilot seat- vigilant and ready to take off at the slightest hint of trouble. Yet sometimes he complains about his aging back and squeezes in behind you, tucking you against the wall and arranging you so you both share what little space there is. You can’t really find it in yourself to complain, taking in the warm, musky scent of his and letting it lull you into dreams.
Slowly, you come to him. You ease into his touch, to the way his hand rubs across your shoulders in greeting, the way he holds your hand as you stiffened during client negotiations. In the evenings he sometimes watches terrible knock-off action movies, rolls his eyes at the impossible stunts as you nod off on his shoulder. Comfortable, you curl into him- seeking the place you belonged, and Nik quietly smiles at the wild creature that has made a home in his heart.
On the odd stretches of time where there are few assignments to follow through from his strange clientele, Nik takes you on his version of a holiday. He brings you to places you’ve never been, restaurants in cities you didn’t know existed.
“Try this.” He tells you in that smirk of his, lifting an oyster from the Caspian Sea to your lips, loaded with butter and spices. You make a face as you swallow, lips closing around his fingers, and don’t notice the way Nik’s eyes flick to the bob of your throat, distracted. “Good girl.”
The praise sends a shiver up your spine, alighting inside you with the need to please him- this man who has taken you in, sheltered you, is teaching you everything he knows.
You don’t realize the danger you’re in when you realize you’ve gotten too comfortable.
It’s a sunny Wednesday morning when you’re taken.
Being the pretty, feral thing at Nik’s side comes with a fair bit of attention. People begin to notice the beautiful vixen at his side. Whispers of your skills echo in the halls of underground bunkers and private airliners. Nik is known to work alone, so to see you with him as his protege, his partner, his co-pilot that he trusts as much as he mentors, means that you’re a target.
You pop out for groceries on his old Soviet era moped, having pestered Nikolai for pirozhkis for dinner- to which he told you only if you fetched the ingredients yourself. You ignore the small gaggle of men smoking near the corner store, common as they were in your neighborhood. It’s only when you come out with your arms full that they spring on you.
Your head cracks against a stone wall. The world goes dark.
When you come to, you’re somewhere you don’t recognize. barely lucid, head pounding, they try and ask you questions about him you can’t answer. There’s things Nik keeps secret from you for your own safety, and the things they want to know are among them. The blows come, knock you from your chair, and you’re left alone in the cellar, trying to understand how the nightmare you dreaded before you met him could have come true after all.
The difference is- now they’ve made a mistake. They took you after he’d taught you how to survive.
The men who took you are stupid. They underestimate you, tying the ropes too loose for your frame. You manage to get your hands free first as Nik has taught you, then your feet. In the corner of the cellar a sliver of light peeks through broken slats, and despite your battered limbs and bruised hands, you peel the plank off quietly so it reveals the underbelly of the house. Like digging a den, you crawl your way into the earth, beyond the foundation, and stumble into the night before your captors even decide to check on you.
Escaping the snare, as wild things do.
It’s early in the morning when you manage to stumble to the back gate of the house. You trip over a loose rock in the soil, collapse in a heap of bruised limbs and fatigue just beyond the back step. The door swings open, and you close your eyes before you can see the sight of Nikolai with a rifle in his hands, ready to fend off intruders.
“лисёнок.” He murmurs hoarsely as he gathers you in his arms, cooing his name for you as you whimper into his chest. Injured, broken, limping back to him. Only him. “What did they do to you?”
You don’t tell him, too exhausted to form words, slumping against him and letting the crash of adrenaline pull you blissfully under.
When you wake up, you’re in his bed. Bandaged, tucked in tightly. He’s washing blood off his hands in the sink.
You don’t realize until later it isn’t yours.
You never ask him what he did to those men while you were asleep, maiming them, killing them for the offense of hurting you, only to come home and haul your figure close to him with whispered reassurances that they’d never touch you again.
Things...change after that.
It wasn’t as if Nik wasn’t affectionate before- he was. Nik’s fondness of you was intertwined with his mentorship. Yet there was always a sort of distance involved. Teasing, playful, interested but careful not to push too far lest he spook you away too soon.
Now, as you cling to him in the aftermath of your capture, shiver and feel your bandaged fingers grip at his shirt, Nik is indulgent.
He lets you sniffle into his chest, rubs his hand along the knot of your spine and rumbles low, soothing words in Russian. He hauls you to him, calls you quiet pet names, cuddles you close and reminds you you’re safe.
In your recovery Nik spoils you, allows you to take all the time you need. You sleep until noon, a rare luxury under his tutelage, and find him cooking your favorite meals when you wake. When you call for him, he’s there, helping you ascend the stairs with your mending knee. He sets you on the couch in warm blankets so you watch movies of your choice until you doze off, to which he carries you upstairs and tucks you quietly, sweetly, back into bed.
All this and more, as Nikolai silently declares to himself that he is never letting you go.
When you recover, the gentleness doesn’t seem to stop. Yet with it comes a sternness, a demand to yield to his promise to care for you, to keep you safe. The hole of want inside you yawns open for him, looking to his care, his guidance, seeking ways to please him. You’re softer now, no less deadly, but the softness in the aftermath has you brushing against him, yearning for his embrace, which Nik offers readily.
With his nose buried in your hair, your arms wrapped around his waist, Nik smiles at the silver snare he’s circled around your throat.
and, silently, he begins to pull.
“Behave.” He tells you when you snarl at a supplier who tries to upcharge him, and Nik lays a heavy hand on your nap that somehow feels like a warning. It settles low in your stomach, warm and liquid with a want you don’t understand yet but need all the same.
“That’s my girl.” He hisses as you stitch a gash on his arm after close contact when you were flying out of a hot zone. He takes another swig of his vodka and groans just as a drip of red oozes down your fingers. You shudder at the sound, feeling something pull taut below your belly, trying to echo the praise quietly in your thoughts.
“Pretty thing.” He smiles as he offers you one of his spare shirts on mission. You swore you had packed more, but the scent of him clings to your skin and it distracts you enough to not question it. You warm under his words, curl up beside him when he gestures. Obedient, wanting.
You think he’s gone from the chopper that night, tucked on the cot and sneaking a hand under your panties to rub idly at yourself- thinking of him. You’re surrounded by the scent of him, swaddled by a phantom of his warmth, and imagining what it would feel like to have his fingers inside you, stroking, coaxing wetness to trickle down the breadth of them. What would it be like, you wonder, for him to hold you like that, to whisper those filthy praises in your ear so you clench down on him?
Footsteps, boots on the metal grate, and a low chuckle.
You yank your hand free, but it’s too late.
“Don’t stop on my account, Дорогая.” He murmurs, and you back against the wall with a shuddering little gasp, skin on fire as Nikolai couches over you, ready to eat you whole. “I was only gone for a few minutes- did you miss me that much?”
The utter confidence in his voice, the knowledge that you were thinking of him, has wetness ooze between your thighs as you try to find your voice. It’s no use, because Nik swoops down against your lips, humming in satisfaction as you ease against him with a little whine, slowly reaching for him until you drag him down onto the cot with you. Surrendering at last.
Hours later, his seed dripping between your thighs, you doze on his chest while he smokes. Exhausted, entirely worn out from the number of orgasms he’s wrung from you, lulled to sleep by his calming heartbeat under your ear.
It’s the first night of many. Like a dam collapsed, Nik releases the full tidal wave of his desire onto you, never missing a chance to haul you to him, to bend you over, to sit you on his cock as you groan and leak around the stretch of him inside you. You realize far too late just how much Nik has been holding back, his hunger for you as boundless as your desire to please him, to stay.
He has you there in the chopper on the cot that can barely hold the weight of his thrusts, back in his bedroom where you collapse face first into the pillows. He eats you out slow and luxurious with you balanced on the kitchen counter, has you brace on his tool bench as he drapes himself against your spine and ruts into you from behind.
“Taking me so well, little fox.” He purrs in your ear, nimble fingers working at your clit as you hiccup and mewl for it. “So tight. Made for my cock, hm? Твоё тело сводит меня с ума. Fuck.”
Nik is an unstoppable force, with stamina you struggle to match. He keeps you in his bed as long as he is able, staving off his orgasm if only to prolong yours, trying to draw as many as he can from you even when your hand smacks at the headboard, trying to tap out.
“Just one more.” He growls as he tries to fuck you through the mattress, glued to your back so the heat of his frame, the swell of his cock inside you is the only thing you can feel. You’re teary eyed, gasping, the lewd squeal as he thrusts into you filling the quiet of the bedroom. Your eyes roll back just as he nails that perfect bundle of serves inside you, voice caught on a choked sort of whimper. “Just one more and then we can take a break, darling.”
You sprawl against the sheets, exhausted as he lounges bare by the window, a whisp of smoke curling from his cigarette before returning to you once more, spooning you and slipping back inside the sloppy mess of your well-used cunt.
“Good girl.” He tells you again when you moan breathlessly, hand cupping your jaw and turning you to him so he can kiss the gasp from your parted lips. You clench down on him at the words, and he hisses a sound of pleasure against the corner of your mouth. “All mine. My girl.”
“Yours.” You whisper hoarsely, as if there were any other answer.
In the come-down he gathers you to him, kisses the tears of overwhelm from your eyes and holds you as you shiver in the aftermath of your orgasm, feeling worn to the bone in only the best of ways. Cum splatters the inside of your thighs, and Nik idly scoops it onto his fingers and back inside, purring endearments between presses of his lips to your face.
Comforting, gentle when you need it, but demanding, forcing you to surpass beyond what you think yourself capable of if only to see the glimmer of pride in his eyes. When you fail, deliverance is swift as it’s always been, but now it’s different.
“I told you no touching.” He growls, forcing you to look at him as his thumb circles roughly over your clit. He’d caught you masturbating in your room, thinking the house was empty, that he wouldn’t catch you. “You want to touch yourself, you come to me, sweet thing. I’ll take care of you, I always do, don’t I?”
“Yes, yes-” You pant, bucking your hips, desperate, aching without the fullness of him, but Nik pulls away. “Wait. P-please-”
“Need to learn your lesson, little fox.” He soothes, pressing a kiss into your hair even as you whine, trying to buck up and grind against him in a vain search for friction. “Make sure it sticks, Да?”
Yet even as you obey, keep your hands to yourself just as you promised, Nik delights in working you up and pulling away at the last minute. He corners you, slips his hand beneath your waistband and soaks his fingers in your leaking cunt until you moan and mewl for him, then withdraws if only to smirk and suck the taste from them. For days he teases you, edges you until a hiccup threatens in your throat, makes sure you’ve learned your lesson that you are his, and then pulls away to let the reminder sink in. You can’t stand it, go mad with need, find yourself close to humping his knee if only to get some sort of relief.
When he finally does let you come days later, you howl into his flesh, biting down into his skin until he shudders, groans against you and spills inside your clenching cunt.
“My sweet girl.” He murmurs, stroking your face as he cuddles you afterwards. “Я не могу без тебя жить.”
You smile, nuzzle into the warmth of him, knowing he has you, he always will. You can’t forget, not with the things he growls against you as he makes love to you, reminding you that you belong to him. Soft in his room, you lay with him, fold into him as a beacon of safety and trust, know that he will never hurt you, will keep you safe, that this will always be your home.
In front of others you’re his partner, his accomplice, the apprentice he found like a diamond in the rough and had polished into a perfect blade. Deadly, clever, keen-eyed and watchful of all threats. Nik tells Price you don’t play well with others when Price tries to introduce his own protege, and when Gaz offers his hand in greeting you make no motion to return it until Nik grazes a thumb against the side of your throat as if tugging an invisible collar there.
“Careful.” He warns the sergeant. “She bites.”
In private he calls you all his endearments in purring Russian. Ангел, Прелесть, Огонёк. Angel, precious, little fire, the object of his desire. You're his girl, his sweet, fierce little sweetheart, the thing he taught to eat out of the palm of his hand while keeping your wild, dangerous nature.
You're his only family, his beloved little fox he managed to domesticate, the thing that still will bite him given the chance, but likes to curl up in his lap and yawn like a housecat. You're his obsession, his partner, his apprentice. If anything else, you're his weakness.
“Я тебя никому не отдам.” He swears to you, voice a low, deep rumble as he strokes your face, feeling your sleeping breaths fan across his palm.
“I will never give you to someone else.”
You dream of the first day you met him. Feral, scared, hungry and starved and inside- looking so desperately for somewhere safe to call home.
Now, years later, you know. Generous though Nik was, it was this that he had hoped for in the beginning- with you as his partner, his protege, but at the end of the day sleeping in his bed, worn and exhausted from the effects of his desire. Dangerous, feral, useful, but in the end tamed just as he’d envisioned.
And you, younger than him by years and foolish as you were, had gone blindly into the snare.
Nik had never given you any reason to regret it.

Edits | Ona Batlle x Reader
this request, enjoy :)
Ona is in her own world, tucked away in her little cubby in the changing room. The hand draped around her neck moves slightly, rubbing against her skin absently. Her bottom lip tucks tightly between her teeth momentarily before her jaw goes slack, she repeats the cycle every few seconds. Her eyes are focused on the phone screen, pupils dilated amorously at the video playing.
Training would start soon and she knew better than to be doing this here with the risk of being caught too high, but it just happened. She couldn’t bring herself to just scroll past the fan made video, and it’s just impossible for her to only watch one. That’s how she ended up scrolling through the tag of your name the last ten minutes. Each video causes her head to spin a bit more than the last.
“Ay,” she jumps, nearly dropping her phone at Patri’s loud voice interrupting her. “Jesus, what is that look? Are you ill?”
“You scared me. Don’t just walk up to people like that and no, I feel fine,” Ona mumbles out the last part, her cheeks turning a deep shade of crimson.
Patri, always suspicious, looks her over before setting her sights on the phone in Ona’s hand. Without warning she grabs the device and moves out of the defender's reach. The pure shock at the action makes Ona freeze in her spot, unsure what to do next as she sees the girl focus on the screen. An unease setting in when Patri looks repeatedly between her and the phone several times before bursting into laughter. “What is this?”
Ona is grateful for the fact that the room is empty minus a few fellow stragglers getting ready for training. She finally regains motion in her legs and strides towards her teasing teammate, “nothing, give me the phone back.”
Ona’s attempt to grab the device is fruitless as Patri pulls it out of her reach, “you like?”
“No, it just popped up. Now give it back, we need to get to training,” Ona huffs, sighing in relief when she finally relinquishes the phone. She’s quick to exit out of the app and tuck her phone securely back in her bag.
Ona doesn’t wait to hear what the midfielder has to say as she sprints off to training. She sees you first and as much as she wants to cozy up beside you like usual the embarrassment still lingers. She settles for sliding in beside Kiera for the morning meeting as she quickly regrets it when she sees Patri make her way out heading straight towards you.
Patri looks right into Ona’s nervous eyes with a smirk as she bumps your shoulder playfully, making you laugh. Ona tries to pay attention as Jonatan gives his instructions for the day, but her eyes glance in the direction of you and Patri more than she cares to admit. A mix of nerves and jealousy surges through her each time she sees you chuckling at something Patri whispered.
“Are you alright? You look fuming,” Kiera asks Ona as warmups get set to begin.
“I’m fine,” Ona smiles, looking at Kiera and trying to pretend she doesn’t see you approaching.
When you reach the two women in discussion you sling an arm around Ona’s shoulder, “hey, you feeling okay? Patri said you weren’t feeling well in the change room.”
Ona feels her heart racing at the concern etched in your features, “sí, all better,” she brushes off, wrapping an arm around your waist.
Ona couldn’t resist falling into your embrace and it would be more weird if she didn’t. The two of you were close and had been since you played together at ManU. Ona is unsure when her attraction began, but she was sure it was something about seeing you with her childhood club crest on your chest that altered her brain.
“I thought you were mad at me. We didn’t have our morning meeting cuddles,” you pout, looking her way with sad eyes.
“Gross,” Kiera mumbles, jogging off after feeling out of place in the conversation.
Ona squeezes you tighter in apology, “never, my head was just a bit eh?”
Before you can respond and question her further Mariona is by your side, “chica, you look good today. What have you been doing?”
A combination of her shamelessly roaming her eyes over your body, and the cute English falling from her mouth makes you blush, “Thanks Mario,” you chuckle as you feel Ona squeeze harshly at your waist. You look in the girl's direction, frowning when you see the daggers she’s shooting Mariona’s way.
“With me?” She questions, gesturing towards the football at her feet. You once again feel the harsh squeeze at your waist.
“Next time, I’ve got to talk to Oni about something,” you say apologetically. Mariona shrugs, sending you a wink and a teasing smirk in Ona’s direction that you see her roll her eyes at. “What was that?” You laugh.
“What?”
You squeeze her shoulder harshly like she did to you and she groans, pulling away, “why were you trying to rip her apart with your eyes?”
“She shouldn’t be looking at you like that,” Ona’s response is short, but direct as she distracts herself by dribbling the ball. “Why did you blush, you like her?”
You laugh at the very blatant jealousy, “Ona I don’t think she meant it like that, and no I don’t like her it was just cute.” She rolls her eyes, kicking the ball in your direction. “Would you be mad if she did?”
“No,” again her response is quick and you can’t help but laugh. “It’s not funny. Plus, she is not single,” she says it like she’s trying to convince you it’s a bad idea.
“Okay Oni,” you laugh. The rest of training Ona is stuck to your side like velcro. You couldn’t make a single move without the girl by your side. You knew something was up when Lucy, Pina, and all the kids made their way over to you full of compliments.
While flattering you knew it was some inside joke that you were clearly not a part of. Ona however seemed very aware and in on whatever was happening, sending menacing glares in each girl’s direction. Ona made sure to remind you which ones were in a relationship, and why the ones that weren’t still were not the best option. ‘She’s too young, too annoying, your Spanish needs work, you two couldn’t communicate well.’ All very valid reasons, but you couldn’t help but tease her.
“I don’t know, she’s kind of cute and maybe my Spanish will improve as we get to know each other.”
Ona’s arms are crossed and her gaze is one of annoyance, “no, I will teach you.”
“Yeah, but she will buy me flowers and teach me. It’s different,” you wave her off. Another eye roll is sent your way before you see Ona take in a deep sigh spotting something behind you. You turn your head to see Patri coming your way.
“Hola, have lunch with me?” Again it’s the cuteness of the proposal that makes you bashful.
Before you get a chance to respond, Ona is stepping up to speak for you, “no, she is busy… we are busy!” She makes sure to emphasize the ‘we’ as she wraps an arm around you. A soft giggle escaping your mouth at the teasing smirk from Patri.
“Okay seriously what is happening?” You chuckle out, looking between the two women in front of you.
Patri sighs like she’s been holding something in forever and you start to straighten yourself up in case it’s serious. “I seen this… video of-” Ona slaps a hand against her mouth, effectively silencing her.
“Patri, por favor,” she pleads, before switching to Catalan completely losing you in the conversation. You tilt your head in confusion as they both look your way and Ona drops her hand from the girl's mouth.
“Maybe some other time amor,” Patri winks before heading off with the same teasing smirk in place. Ona groans, a frustrated hand sliding down her face.
“So what was that? No fair when you speak Catalan you know I don’t understand,” you pout.
“Patri caught me watching a… fan edit of you this morning,” you struggle to piece together the mumbled Spanglish briefly but you get it. A smile breaks across your face, eyes twinkling in delight at the rose colored cheeks in front of you. “That’s why they’ve all been so flirty and trying to rile me up all day. I mean no- I don’t know. You do look beautiful. I am sure they all mean things they say. I would, but yeah. I’m sorry, it is weird,” Ona rushes out, a look of relief and embarrassment flashing in her eyes.
You soften at her distraught state, shrugging as you ask, “did I look good in the videos?” Ona lets her eyes flicker back towards yours, calming at the soft look on your face she nods with certainty. “Good enough that you would be willing to take me out?”
“Sí,” Ona nearly shouts, gaining a few curious looks from the team. “I mean sure if you wanted,” she tries to play it off casually.
You tap your chin in thought, watching as Ona nervously tucks her bottom lip between her teeth. “You made me wait five years to finally get a date. I shouldn’t say yes so easily.”
“Qué?” Ona’s eyes widened. You roll your eyes, Ona was so oblivious it pained you. Ever since your time together at ManU you had been dropping hints. While you could’ve chosen to be a bit more direct you weren’t entirely sure she was actually interested. Plus there were times she was seeing other people and you’d completely give up hope.
When you both came to Barcelona it felt like everything intensified on both sides, but still she made no actual move. You had officially made up your mind that the two of you were simply just going to be friends. “I’ve been waiting for you to ask since we were back in Manchester.”
“Oh?” Ona tries to look calm but you can nearly hear the drumming of her heart. “It is too late?”
“I never said that,” you laugh, quickly coming to your senses. “You’ll just have to work harder.”
A smug look comes to her face, the one you’ve come to adore. The defender's confidence is one of your favorite things about her. “Be ready tonight. I will pick you up at 7,” Ona sneaks a quick peck to your cheek before rushing off towards the building.
“She finally asked?” You flinch at the sudden voice, too busy holding your burning cheek where she kissed you.
You turn, seeing Keira standing beside you. She was one of the few people you’d actually confided in about your little dilemma with Ona over the years, “yeah she finally did,” you whisper dreamily.
A fake gag falls from her mouth, “you are going to be even more insufferable now.”
You can’t even deny it. You want to run around the pitch in excitement, but you contain yourself. Choosing to play it cool until you were alone. Who knew a little fan edit and some teasing was all it took to put things in motion.

eternal love

this is my first work here, dont eat me pls<\3
Tumblr media
"How do I look?" you asked, spinning around slowly, as you checked yourself in the mirror before turning to Mizu. Your eyes twinkled with mischief as you noticed her gaze lingering on your rear end.
The two of you had already been in a relationship together for almost a year now. To celebrate your anniversary, you both decided to fly to Japan for a trip.
Your question clearly broke her out of her trance. "You look great." she muttered, looking your outfit up and down. Then she walked up to you, keeping her hand on your waist, giving you a quick kiss on the cheek. "Let's go." her hand went from your waist to your hand, pulling you behind her. Your heart racing with excitement, allowing Mizu to lead the way out of the hotel room and down the stairs, hand in hand.
As Mizu navigated you through the hotel lobby, heads turned their way, drawn by their youthful energy and evident chemistry. Both of you didn't seem to notice or care about the attention, lost in your own world as you embarked on your day together.
As you two walked along the street, your eyes caught the stalls with colorful items. You let go of Mizu's hand and walked over to the stand with small glass animal figurines. They were the size of your little finger but were very colorful and detailed which made them unique. Mizu followed you like a lost puppy, her curiosity piqued by your sudden interest. She glanced at the little figurines and let out a soft gasp of admiration. "They're beautiful." she commented, reaching out to touch one of them with a fingertip.
The seller looked up from cleaning another figurine, his eyes lighting up when he saw Mizu. "Ah! A fellow collector!" he said excitedly. "Which ones catch your eye?"
You looked at the seller and then at Mizu, waiting to see how she would get out of this situation. Seeing her confused look, you giggled quietly and you tried to direct her with your eyes to a small figurine of two sleeping cats, cuddled together. Mizu raised her eyebrows, looking at you and then looking at the figurines. Finally her eyes landed on the adorable pair of cats and she couldn't help but smile softly. "These are adorable."
"Ah, true love!" the seller laughed heartily, his wrinkled face lighting up with delight, as he saw the tension between you two. "These two are called Eternal Love, they symbolize everlasting companionship and passion shared between two souls. They would make perfect gifts for someone special, wouldn't they?"
Mizu turned to you, her cheeks a slight shade of pink in embarrassment. She squeezed your hand, the corner of her mouth curling into a mischievous smirk. "Thank you, we'll take them." she said quickly, trying to distract herself from seller's suggestive comment.
She accepted the figurine gratefully, her cheeks turning a deeper shade of crimson. She managed to stammer out before turning to you, rolling her eyes playfully. "You're such a flirt." You giggled at her reaction. You knew very well that Mizu wasn't a big fan of being clingy in public so you decided to tease her a little and disturb her balance even more. "You're blushing so hard right now. You know?"
Mizu huffed lightly, trying to hide her amusement. She elbowed you lightly in the ribs as you continued to stroll through the market. "I'm not blushing." she lied, although it was clear from her flushed face that she was still embarrassed by their exchange with the seller.
"Yeah, of course not. You never blush." you said jokingly, just looking at her from time to time with large smirk on your face.
Mizu playfully punched your arm, but beneath her teasing exterior, there was a hint of happiness at being teased by you. She wrapped her arm around your waist, gently pushing you forward. "Alright, alright, enough with the teasing." she said, steering you towards another stall selling colorful handmade scarves and shawls.

The Vee's (not val) with a reader who has bird features and it's moulting season and how they help them please.
So like I'm kinda clueless when it comes to birds and i don't think google did me right but i tried my best anyway, i included all the vee's though so hope that's alright. enjoy anon!!
{slightly suggestive!!}
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vox would most likely not know what to do when you were molting
He would stare at you all weird while you were struggling to shed your old feathers, laughing to himself, he made sure you wouldn't hear cuz he knew you'd kill him if you found him laughing at your struggle
Before you angrily made a sarcastic comment about it “thanks for the help dear, if you keep staring at me enough I'm sure all of these feathers will be fucking gone y’know!”
“Oh uh- oops yeah sure how do you want me to help, doll?”
He would offer help but a side of him is incredibly weirded out by it and doesn't want to
Seeing you struggle though, he sighed and walked over to help you.
Plucking different feathers out, he ran his hand across your wings making you shudder
He should keep that in mind..
After you were all done you thanked him and he shrugged it off “yea, yea- i'm great i know doll.”
He stared at your pretty wings for a bit, smiling to himself at his your the hard work you both put in.
Velvette had a few models who had wings so she was used to this, she knew what to do.
She saw you struggling and while you denied help at first, saying you “could do it alone without any help”
She sighed and sat you down and got behind you helping you
“Will you stop being so damn stubborn and let me help you?!”
She happily plucked out feathers and brushed out your wings, she made sure your wings would be looking better than they ever did.
She made you look all pretty and she even suggested going shopping for clothes, something that would look good with your wings.
You rejected her offer again, and instead just wrapped your wing around her, cuddling and keeping velvette close to you.
You both fell asleep there, but when you woke up velvette was gone, and in her place was a small gift bag with an outfit that matched your wings
A small tag was attached to it that said “only the best for you and your pretty wings”
You smiled and walked into her photoshoot she was directing with your new outfit and wings
Valentino also knows what to do, seeing as he also has wings
As for him actually deciding to help you on his own accord though?
Yea no, unless you specifically ask him to help you he won't, hell- he would probably laugh at you struggling.
If you did end up asking him however he would complain about it like it was a chore. He'd act like you asking him this was the most difficult task and it was the end of the world.
He still did it anyway, he plucked the feather out roughly and if you told him that he'd say something along the lines of
“I thought you wanted help pajarito? Stop being bipolar.”
After being incredibly rough with plucking out your feathers he would pet them softly
He brushed them thoroughly making sure each of them looked good.
When he ran his hands and fingers through the base of your wings you shuddered
“Oh?~ looks like i found a sensitive spot on you amorcito~”
...Good luck
hope you enjoyed lol!!
-Xoxo, Ari

Scarlet Weaves
Wanda Maximoff x Spider-Man!Reader
a Scarlet Webs story
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It had been like a dream for Wanda. A new world. A new love. A new chance to live and love again.
She was undoubtedly in love with her Spider Monkey, you. It was amazing. The city welcomed her with open arms and even the press gave you and her a cute nickname: Scarlet Webs.
You and her had settled into a nice routine: breakfast with the team, patrol, date night, and then cuddle for the rest of the evening. It was simple, sweet, and it made Wanda feel like there could be a balance between hero and home life. Her heart only grew more and more for you. That life with a home and two little boys seemed so close to a reality.
So much so that she began looking at houses in the Queens area. It was just a mere fantasy but she just loved looking at pictures of houses in Queens. She even got so light jeering from Tony about it.
“Looking at housing for you and your web head?” He’d let out a little laugh. “Just pick one! I can buy any property you want. Just say the word, Red”
Tony kept you and the rest of the team on his payroll. Made sure that you and her were never starving or hurting for money.
Anyway that brings you and Wanda to tonight. You were having a little date night on the town. You were currently making out on a giant web that you spun in some hidden area of the city.
Wanda couldn’t help but giggle. It felt so enticing yet scandalous. You kept one hand on her back while the other was gently holding her cheek.
The two of you lost track of time as you rolled and kissed on that silky web. Wanda couldn’t help but feel like a teenager again.
“Detka” she whispers, out of breath.
“My little witch” you smile back as you gently massage her back. You never felt this way about anyone, let alone someone from another universe.
“I love you” she whispers against your lips.
“I love you and I’m crazy about you” you stare into her eyes longingly.
“I-I’ve been looking into some houses for us” she admits with a little embarrassed grin and blush.
“Really?” You ask back with smile. “You want a little place for us?”
She nods, “I-I love you and…I want to have a family with you. I-I know it seems like it’s all so fast and-“
You cut her off with another kiss. “I want you to be my family too. I’d love to grow old with you, have some kids with you, maybe have one too many drinks with you, watch some old sitcoms with you,” you found yourself rambling.
Wanda couldn’t help but laugh, she loved it when you rambled on like this.
She cut you off with a kiss of her own. “How about you feel about two boys and a little dog?”
“Sounds like paradise to me,” you answer back. “M-my aunt is selling her house in Queens”
“Really?”
“She’s allowing us to put in a bid for it. If you want” you shrug.
Wanda always loved your family. Honestly she could see herself growing old and raising a child or two in that house.
“Did you put in a bid?” She asks a little excitedly. You pull out a house key with a little smirk.
“We just have to sign the papers”
Wanda tackles you to your web, giggling and kissing you. In her excitement, Wanda’s hips end up grinding against yours. Her hands wander into your hair. Your own hands gently make their way under her shirt and up her spine. The two were lost in the heat of the moment. Little moans escape her lips. They were like a sweet symphony to your ears. How you longed to hear more.
“I love you. I love you so much!” Wanda cries. She never thought she could be this loved ever again.
“Wanda,” you groan a little, “we’re still technically out in public.
“Then take me home.” She purrs in your ear, “where no one can disturb us” she gently bites your lip.
“Yes ma’am” you whisper back as you pull her close and swing off your web.
Wanda Maximoff. The witch who literally fell out of her world and right into your arms. She finally found a reason to love again and a home to call her own. And it was all thanks to a little spider she calls her detka.

Riddle has cleared his throat thrice, drank water and mentally rehearsed what he wanted to say for this voicemail; however once he hit record, none of that really mattered. "Hi," he whispered, the nearly overwhelming happiness in was audible, it nearly spoke for him. Thinking about the silliness of it, the dormwarden laughed, giggly at the mishap, it really was unavoidable anyway. Riddle took a breather, sighing in a relieved and relaxed manner, "Hi" he whispered with a wide grin, one you would hear vividly, openly adoring, "I missed you." "I missed you so, so much; I want to spend time with you- If you'd have me, we could study together once the exam subjects are announced, if you want to." Riddle murmured, twirling one of the longer locks of hair framing his face with his idle hand; eyes closed, envisioning it. "And then, we could go on a date." He hummed, would you like a cafe date? Karaoke? The aquariu- Well, maybe not the aquarium. Maybe he could take you out on a walk to the district nearby of the internships he picked out, but that sounded too serious. So, a cafe would suffice for now. He would check Cater's magicam page, namely his older posts to see some of the calmer, more relaxing places he could take you to. "What do you think? Let me know once you see- or i suppose hear- this, my lovely." "bye-bye, I love you." And suddenly, time couldn't pass fast enough. ...He supposes he could write his own written permit to stay over, it's not as if anyone could stop him; you had always been ecstatic to see him use the loopholes of rules to be a good boyfriend, after all.
Tumblr media
Cater leap onto his bed, giddy and giggly, rolling back and forth while occasionally kicking his feet like a schoolgirl. Lightly smushing and slapping his face with both of his own hands to calm down, he sighs, hugging one of his pillows, looking idly around his room. A love song. He had been giddy and sappy because he heard a love song, it sounded so much like the essence of you. He has already begun memorizing the lyrics, so that he could sing it, maybe he'd learn to play it too. it made him so happy. You made him so happy. He loves you- and he sighs, you really ought to start paying rent someday for living in his head all the time, and his heart too. And then he thought, what if he.. sung, for you? Well that suddenly made him anxious, but ecstatic, he was such a nerve wreck. but it was good. and overwhelming. Cater curses the lack of logistics in him. He thinks back to the comment lingering in the back of his mind, he knows why he's even thought of this- "I love it when you sing" you said, cuddling up to his neck, leaning on him, on his bed, sitting on his lap while he sung a simple tune of a song as he was practicing on his guitar. It was his favourite, his sisters hated it. and you loved it. And Cater soaked it up like a sponge, like a golden retriever, if you will; fetching his phone fast, so that he could do this before his dumb insecurities could catch up to him. Sweater weather. "All I am is a man I want the world in my hands I hate the beach But I stand in California with my toes in the sand Use the sleeves of my sweater Let's have an adventure Head in the clouds but my gravity's centered Touch my neck and I'll touch yours You in those little high waisted shorts, oh-" Cater felt the song and your hands crawl up his body like phantom touch as he sung. it was ticklish, making him end the song halfway with a breathless chuckle and a dumb smile, he knew you could hear it in his tone, but he didn't mind at all. He hoped one day, you'd get to grasp how precious you are to him; he loves you, and he loves everything you love too, somehow inlove with the way you do too. The word doesn't make sense anymore, but it really does too. He feels a lot like love with you, yeah, Cater laughed; it really shouldn't make sense, but he's so thankful it does. Looking back at his phone, he records his final piece. "I love you, princess." Sent. ...And maybe, he grinned- "Meet me in my room for the full piece, maybe? I could pick you up~" Sent.
Tumblr media
Vil laid down in bed, normally he wouldn't do so until it was time to sleep, yet he knew he'd cave into something far more off-schedule if he didn't. He laughed, it truly was bizarre; Vil Schoenheit, the renowned actor was missing his girlfriend. That, it was the entire reason. The cause of his simple complicated mood. Well, he knew that if he called you it could get you in trouble; perhaps you were in class, or working on something, he couldn't interrupt you without being a hypocrite. But. Vil eyed his phone on the night stand, maybe he could do something. A playful grin rose on his gorgeous features, mischief, rarely shown in a not overly elegant manner. Vil couldn't give a damn. He reached out and swiped his phone, opening it swiftly and admiring your contacts information. "The love of my life." it made him smile, he was so indecisive about what kind of nickname would fit; he did not want to jinx this by being overly cliche and being soft or off-character, until you so naturally, casually reminded him that for as long as he's off stage, then he's supposed to be off-character. No one besides himself, and you, that's all he really needs. He sighed dreamily, hitting record. "Hi, my beauty, my muse, my dove," Vil chuckled to himself, "My, my my, haa.. I missed your presence so much, if only you knew." He tucked a stray lock of hair behind his ear, closing his eyes, "Lets remedy this once you are available, okay? We could have a spa day, or, if you can, I can ask my management to pick you up so that you can accompany me for the entire day..." "It's been a while since we got to spend the entire day together, side by side" That was a goddamn lie. "Maybe you can make up to me by joining me on a day-long date and night time spa?" You slept in his room and woke up side by side every day already.
"Let me know when you're free, my dove; " He blew a kiss, a soft click of his lips, "I love you."
Tumblr media
Idia sighed, drinking down the cup of water, staring at the mirror reflection of himself on the screen of his phone. "The things I do for you" he thought with a softened, pleased smile. Calming, it was accurate to describe the affect you had on him when he thought of you. Sure he flared up into life from the power of anxiety, love, nerves and his traitorous color changing flame hair the second you stepped foot into 6ft of his physical area of existance, but he had come around to relax so much more as your relationship developed. This will be just another milestone, he said, time will pass either way, he told himself, better do it now than miss a limited edition chance. Idia averted his gaze as he pressed the record button, "uh- Hey, hi, " he fake-coughed into his hoodies sleeves, tugging on the strings of said hoodie with his idle hand. "I missed you, so" He shrugged, mentally smacking himself upside down the head for doing something you had no chance to hear. "So i decided to leave a voice message- Come visit me once you can, okay? I'll order your favourites too, if you want. Or we could cook together, I dunno'," Idia glanced back, looking momenterily at your contact picture, it was one he took while you two were out on a date. Outside for your half-year anniversary, a year ago now. That gave him an idea, making him grin. "I know instant noodles aren't always your thing so I'll treat us to something nice," He 'hummed', pretending to ponder. "..I could take us to that ramen place, maybe? I..I-I think it was nice last year." Idia said, stuttering at the last bit, yet carrying on. "Let me know what you think." "I love you." He said, it was only natural, as everything lovely seemed to be when it came to you. Idia fist bumped the air, letting out a happy victory sound; that actually went perfectly?!- He couldn't help but laugh, loudly and absolutely thrilled, ecstatic. He jumps into his bed and screams into his pillow; Idia sighs, relaxing as if he just ran a marathon (his heart sure did, to be fair.) and a closed eye-d smile made its way to his face without any resistance "I love her so much.." You always make him so happy.

a start of something great ✮ l. walti
Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: lia walti x fem!reader
summary: another accidental encounter, could things end bad? or is it the start of something great.
part one, two, three, four and five.
Tumblr media
after that encounter with a certain swiss player, you couldn’t help but find yourself thinking at her. maybe, it was the way you felt her trace your face, you had felt it as you were slowly waking up.
you had just finished training, a certain brit swung their arms over your shoulder as you walked back to the locker room.
“any plans, n/n?” niamh asked, as jessie fleming hummed—after you had met the chelsea duo, they had adopted you into their duo, making it a trio.
“i was planning on getting a puppy, my apartment is a bit quiet.” you replied, as niamh hummed at your words.
“what breed?” jessie asked, as niamh dropped her arm from your shoulder to her side. the three of you had just entered the locker room, proceeding to your own locker.
“a golden.” you gave her a small smile, before heading to the showers, the towel was over your shoulder, as you held the two bottles, shampoo and conditioner.
after you finished showering, you wore a black turtleneck, with black plaid pants. bidding goodbye to jessie and niamh who gave you a small smile, you rushed to your car—not wanting to be late to meet the puppy.
you named her, hestia after the greek goddess of the hearth, home and fire. frankly, you thought she was an underrated goddess and fought strongly that she is still the 12th olympian.
hestia had already gotten her shots that were needed, the anti rabies vaccine and others. you already prepped the bowls, dog food, and toys.
you strolled through the park, the grey leash was already with its collar, as hestia kept pulling you somewhere—the leash ended up slipping from your grasp, as she ran forward.
your eyes widened as you chased after her, she didn’t go to far—as she sat, behind her ears were getting scratched.
“are you lost?” the familiar voice asked, as she analyzed the dog tag.
“hestia, i wonder who named you.” you cleared your throat as the brunette looked up to you, her face flushing as she realized it was you.
“i’m sorry if she disturbed you. the leash had slipped.” you explained, as lia hummed at your actions. she held out the leash, as you grabbed it, wrapping it a few times around a finger.
“she didn’t, don’t worry. so, why hestia?” lia asked, as she stood up—looking into your eyes, to which you avoided looking at the sky. if you didn’t do that, you would’ve seen how she blushed, how her eyes landed on your physique, and how she loved how the turtle neck suited you.
“i named her after my favorite greek goddess, hestia who is the goddess of hearth.” you said, before picking up the puppy. she cuddled into your arms, as you chuckled at the hestia’s behavior.
you didn’t know it but that was the start of something great. you two had spent the day talking about random things, mainly about life outside of football.
as you rested your head against the headboard, you felt your phone vibrate as it was held in your hands—quickly looking at the screen, you saw an instagram notification.
liawaelti has started following you.
a soft yet wide smile appeared, as you hummed. it took you a while to follow back, locking your phone as you turned to fall asleep.
y/nleon has started following you.
if only you could imagine how bright her smile was, or how you’d occupy her thoughts—ever since the world cup. the little misunderstanding, to her apology, and your unexpected transfer—not to mention her drunken mistake.

Quiet time
Barbie dolls: poly maurders x reader (James, Sirius, Remus, you)
Word: 1.2k ish
Summary:you're overstimulated (autistic not sex) and Remus' chronic pain flares up and hilarity ensues
Warnings: you stim with your hands and also are overstimulated, I described it with my own experience so it might not be like yours, Remus Sirius and James are dating I know that's crazy but sometimes poly gets tagged with it just being an odd threesome and not actually poly, you watch TV? I think that's it dude
James and Sirius had left for their date a long time ago. You and Remus decided to spend the time they were gone at home. After they had closed the door a lot had happened. When Remus woke up that morning his hip was bothering him. 'only a little' he whispered to you three as you all watched him take pain meds. Remus often downplayed his pain for the benefit of others. He seemed okay though after his meds he was going about his tasks like normal. After Sirius and James left, his pain seemed to quadruple. So you got him into a warm bath. You made him his favorite soup. You made the bed, adding extra pillows for his back. You pulled out Remus' heating pad. You tucked him into bed with his soup and everything else you could think of. Unfortunately within the time it took for you to take care of Remus the world got too loud, your clothes got to clothesy, you could feel your teeth, everything was too much and now you were overstimulated and your boyfriend was practically bedridden.
When you did get overstimulated your partners were nothing but helpful. You often would stop talking, opting for silence. You wanted it dark and the only sound you wanted were sounds that you picked. Like the TV show you've already seen eight million times, the music you picked out. You need your weighted stuffed animal, your weighted blankets, your clothes needed to clothes in the right way, you needed to sit and not do anything for as long as possible.
Your partners were exceptionally good at working with your needs. Remus didn't mind when you stopped talking. He loved your voice but he also enjoyed quiet time. It was nice sitting next to a bundle of blankets that occasionally sprouted a hand holding out a peice of chocolate for him. Sirius would doodle on your arm, the repetitive movements calming your brain. He'd sit in a dark silent room anyday. Getting him to stop talking was sometimes a feat but you could press your finger to his lips and he'd get the message. James would squeeze you very tightly and the compression helped a lot. So that's how you and Remus ended up on either side of your bed, both wrapped up in your own comfort items. Your tv show was playing on the television, Remus didn't mind that he had all the lines memorized. You'd shake your hands every time the intro played and mouthed the words. It's all he needed to know you were more than happy. You had your stuffed animal pressed to your chest and your blankets wrapped around you.
Sometimes Remus felt too hot from pain to want to be all over another person. Sometimes you were too aware of your skin to want to cuddle. The only physical contact you two were sharing was your arms outstretched, your hands resting on the mattress, pinkies pressed against each other. That's all you wanted. The lights were off. Remus thought he might drift off and he hoped when he woke the pain would be gone. Then the door opened.
James and Sirius came prancing in. James was already moving towards the dresser, pulling out comfy clothes. Sirius looked like he wanted to jump into the bed, but he recognized the position you and Remus were in. He moved over to Remus and gently kissed his cheek. Sirius asked him all his regular doting questions. Remus answered all of them. Remus waved Sirius off when Sirius asked if he needed anything. James left to the bathroom to get changed as Sirius moved around the bed to your side.
"How you feeling about physical contact?" You pointed to your cheek. Sirius quickly leaned forward and press a kiss to your cheek.
"How do we feel about cuddles?" Sirius asked, looking between you and Remus. You heard Remus shuffling and moving his blankets to be more accommodating for another person.
"I suppose I could." Remus muttered. Sirius turned to you, waiting on your reply. You pointed to the bathroom. You held your thumb and pointer together to make a tiny spacy between, and then pointed to Sirius.
"You'll cuddle James but not me?" You nodded. Sirius clicked his tounge before pecking your cheek again. He whispered an 'I love you' before quickly moving over to Remus. He gently snuggled up to Remus, not wanting to hurt him. Remus wrapped his arms around Sirius. Sirius stuck his hand out behind him and wrapped his pinkie around your yours.
Soon enough James came into the room in his pajamas; red plaid pants, one of Sirius' worn band shirts, and fluffy socks. He first checked on Remus leaning over Sirius' outreached hands to kiss Remus. Sirius tugged on James' shirt, pecking him too. James moved to you, holding his hands behind his back. He knew if he didn't restrain himself he'd want to cuddle you immediately.
"Oh I love this episode." Sirius whispered, staring at the screen. He started to mouth the lines to himself.
"World got too much?" You nodded, letting out a sigh. You leaned to the side, knocking your head into James' abdomen. He took that as a sign you needed his physical affection, wrapping his arms around you.
"You want squeezes?" You nodded against James' chest. He pulled away from you. You scooted forward on the bed, giving James space behind you. He quickly crawled in. James had his legs on either side of you before gently tugging you back. Your back pressed against his chest. James wrapped his arms around you, squeezing lightly. You sighed against his shoulder. James kissed your shoulder. He looked over to Remus. You ran your fingers over the back of Sirius' hand.
"How are you feeling, Moony?" James whispered. He didn't want to be too loud for you and you greatly appreciated it. Remus groaned.
"Like an old grandpa." Sirius smiled at you before nipping at Remus' forearm with his teeth. Remus kissed the top of Sirius' head. James cooed. He gently kissed Remus' shoulder.
"Well I think you're a very hot grandpa." Sirius grimaced at James. James smiled at Remus. Remus burried his face in Sirius' hair looking up at James.
"That was gross James." Sirius whispered. His voice was muffled by the sleeve of Remus' sweater. James sighed, dropping his head against the headboard.
"I'm trying to be positive." James argued, still keeping his tone hushed. Sirius shook his head.
"It was nasty. What kind of person finds old grandpas attractive?" Sirius asked. Remus loosened his hold on Sirius.
"Ouch, Pads." Remus muttered. Sirius glared at him before looking back at James.
"I was being kind, but of course you wouldn't know much about that. I swear you almost mugged that guy at the restaurant." James rolled his eyes as he argued with Sirius. Sirius scoffed before looking to you.
"Can you believe this, baby? He's such a scoundrel. You should've cuddled with me." Sirius giggled at his own joke. You looked over Sirius' head to make eye contact with Remus. He shook his head.
"Would you like to leave them both and run off on our own?" Remus asked. You shrugged and turned your head. You looked away from them entirely. They took that as a sign you wanted quiet time. You slowly fell asleep in James' tight hold. They all kept quiet as they got ready for bed themselves. James just threw a pillow behind his head and scooted down further so he was laying down. Sirius washed his face and Remus took his melatonin. His insomnia and pain often made it difficult for him to fall asleep. They both bolted back into each other's arms the second they finished. Sirius rested his head on James' shoulder as he fell asleep.

“I think my girlfriend is falling in love with my brother,” Kol says, with a look to each of the Salvatores, “but unlike you two, we’re actually quite capable of sharing women.”
Both scoff, and Stefan rolls his eyes. Damon takes a long sip of bourbon before smirking. “Prove it.”
Three days later, the brothers show up unannounced on the Mikaelsons’ porch, ready to find the proof themselves. Their conversation with Kol didn’t really end; the man just smiled and gave a wink, but didn’t offer any proof to his statement. He left the grill soon after that, too, convincing the Salvatores that he was just a cocky liar. Determined to prove their enemy wrong, they planned a surprise dinner in the other’s own house, specifically choosing a day they know you’ll be there.
It’s a Sunday, and Klaus has been in New Orleans all weekend doing who-knows-what, leaving you alone with the other three siblings. You were originally a loyal friend of Elena’s, until she fell for Damon and you fell for Kol. Ever since then, your friendship has been in shambles and the two of you barely speak. The only reason the brothers were even talking to Kol about you is because you all ran into each other at the grill. You were playing pool with Elijah, while the younger watched from afar. Stefan and Damon approached to pester him about it, only to receive the answer they did.
Now, they were going to prove Kol wrong. They had been through this before with both Katherine and Elena. One woman cannot love both brothers; she will always pick one, and the two will become divided over it. It was only a matter of time for the jealousy to seep through, and neither brother could wait to see it happen.
When they ring the doorbell, it’s Elijah who answers. “What may I help you with, brothers?”
Damon smirks, “we’ve decided to invite ourselves over for dinner. How does that sound?”
“And whatever has given you this idea?”
“Just a talk we had with your little brother the other day. Nothing bad, we promise.”
“Convincing,” he mutters, not at all convinced. “Well, I guess then, come in. I’ll find Kol.”
Kol isn’t hard to find. When Elijah walks into the living room, trailed by the Salvatores, he finds you and your boyfriend curled up together on the couch. Elijah clears his throat, grabbing both of your attentions.
“Oh, look who it is - the less famous brothers,” Kol greets with an attitude. “To what do I owe the pleasure?”
You don’t say anything, but tense up at the sight of the two. Neither have been pleased with you lately, and their sudden appearance can’t be anything good.
“They have come by for dinner,” Elijah supplies. “Which, luckily enough, should be ready now.”
Just as he predicts, Rebekah comes into the room, hands in oven mitts. “Did I hear the Salvatores are coming over for dinner?” She looks over to them, “oh, and they’re already here. What fun. Y/N, darling, would you please help me carry the dishes to the table?”
You nod quickly, happy to get away from the men.
“You make your sister cook for you?” Damon grunts as you and Bekah disappear.
“No, no, we all take turns. Kol was yesterday. I have tomorrow.”
“But sometimes none of us do and we just sip on blood all night.”
“You feed Y/N blood, too?”
“Well she’s not here every night, unfortunately. But if she is here on a sipping-night, we’ll still make her something,” Kol says sternly, not liking Damon’s tone.
Stefan decides that now is a good time to interrupt. “So what’s Rebekah making?”
“We’ll have to see. Shall we?”
Five minutes later, the six of you are sitting around the table enjoying a steak meal, just red enough to satisfy both vampires and human. The seat you’ve chosen has you between Kol and Rebekah and across from Damon and Stefan, while Elijah, per usual in Klaus’ absence, sits at the head. You can tell he likes sitting there; the head of the table always gives the sitter a feeling of power. Dominance. Like how he dominates the conversation despite Damon’s numerous attempts to try.
“I was just curious about your brother’s whereabouts. What exactly is he doing in New Orleans?”
“It isn’t your place to know about what he’s doing, and frankly, I don’t know every little thing he does either. I’m not his babysitter.”
“But you’ve got to know something.”
“Who am I to tell? It’s not my business, nor yours.”
“So if-”
At this point, the three of you zone out entirely. You have been pestering Kol the whole dinner, but now you’re really starting to bug him, rubbing your foot up and down his leg. The action makes him squirm in his seat, which only encourages you further, and now Rebekah’s giggling at the both of you. In return, Kol lands a hand on your thigh, squeezing it ever so often. You then poke him in the side where you know he’s ticklish.
 Little do you know, Rebekah wants to join in, but doesn’t want to cross a line with her brother. Little does she know, you want her to join just as badly.
Meanwhile, the discussion between the others is growing intense. Damon is getting more aggressive; Elijah, more defensive; and Stefan, more anxious.
“This conversation isn’t going anywhere,” he tries, “maybe we should-”
“Klaus goes in and out of Mystic Falls way too often. I like to know where my enemies are, so if he would just stay in one place, that’d be great. He-”
Finally, Stefan cuts his brother off completely. “What I would like to know is if Kol’s words have any truth in them.”
The room silences immediately.
“That’s why we’re here, right, brother?”
Damon stiffens at being interrupted, but then relaxes, a smirk on his face. “Yes, actually.”
“Whatever do you mean?” Elijah cocks his head. “Kol?”
“I don’t know what he’s talking about.”
“Oh sure you do? What was it? At the bar?”
“We go to the bar fairly often, Damon, you’ll have to be more specific.”
“You don’t remember? Y/N and Elijah were playing pool. You were watching, telling us what was on your heart…”
Kol raises his eyebrows before scoffing. “That.”
“Yes, that.”
“First of all, I wasn’t spilling my heart out to you two dumbasses. There was no heartfelt moment there.”
“Oh, really? I thought we were having a moment.” Damon frowns with a sad puppy dog look. Fake, of course.
“You thought wrong then. I was only sharing an observation.”
“So? Is there any truth in what you said?”
Kol shifts uncomfortably, not liking being on the spot like this.
“Aw, Damon, he’s shy. Let’s give him space.”
“No, hold up,” Kol stops them, “not shy about anything, I just don’t like to put my girl in situations like this.”
At the mention of you, you look up in question.
“Well maybe you shouldn’t talk about ‘your girl’ when she’s not there to hear it.”
By now, Rebekah’s had enough, “whatever are you two daft dimbos on about? Kol would never do anything to hurt her. He loves her. Speaking of which, we all do, so you better not say anything bad.”
“Oh I bet you all do,” Damon smirks again.
“Say what you want and be done with it,” Elijah tenses, “or get out.”
“You want to do the honors?” Damon turns to his brother.
“No, you’re good.”
“Alright.” He stands up as if he were making a speech. “Kol told us that he thinks his girlfriend over here, Miss Y/N, sweet little Y/N, is falling in love with his brother. Then he tried to tell us that you guys are good at ‘sharing women’.” The man laughs, “as someone who’s shared a woman with my brother, that never ends well. One, or all of you, are gonna be real sad when she either picks one and divides you from your family, or leaves you all and never looks back. So I say, pick your poison now, ‘cause it’s gonna happen someday.”
Damon sits back down looking very proud of himself. Kol, on the other hand, looks mortified. You, Bex, and Elijah have no idea what to do with that information. It’s dead quiet for too long.
“Darling,” Kol finally says, “can I talk to you?”
“Of course.”
You leave the table with him, but no one picks up any conversation as you go.
As soon as he gets to the kitchen, he runs the sink water so the vampires in the room over would have a harder time overhearing. He then puts his hands over his face and avoids eye contact with you.
“Darling, I’m so sorry. I hadn’t meant for that to come out the way it did, nor to say it to those two, and I certainly didn’t expect for them to reiterate it straight back at you. I can’t believe I could be so stupid. I’m so sorry. I understand if you hate me for it. I-”
“Kol,” you call him for the fourth time during his rant. This time, though, you take his hands and make him look at you. “You’re not stupid.” He finally looks at you, but doesn’t reply. “And I don’t hate you. I could never hate you. You don’t have to apologize.”
“But I subjected you to their vile jokes. Made you look like a groupie or something to my family.”
You have to stop for a second and giggle. Of course, he’s immediately confused. “Why are you laughing?”
“Did you just use the term, ‘groupie’? That’s so seventies, Kol.”
“That’s what you’re worried about?”
“No, no, I’m just- I’m sorry. It was just funny to me.”
“What word was I supposed to use?”
You laugh again, “I don’t know.”
“Okay, well, I shouldn’t have used any word, because you’re not that, but I made you look like that to those bloody idiots.”
“Kol, it’s okay. I’m not upset with you. With them, yes, for doing that in front of everyone. But only for your sake, not my own. And besides, I can live with being an original groupie.”
He nods, hearing you’re not upset, but then narrows his eyes. “Wait…”
You swallow hard. “It’s not entirely wrong. I don’t like admitting it, but I’d be lying if I said there was nothing there.” You pause, giving him time to react. He only nods for you to continue. “I know Elijah’s liked me to some extent ever since we started dating. At first, I brushed it off, but the more I’m around you all, the more I find myself starting to like it.”
Not sure how to answer the latter, he starts with the first. “To some extent? Darling, he’s in love with you.”
You half smile, “I know.”
“But?”
“I don’t know how to say this, Kol. It’s weird.”
In one fell swoop, he picks you up and sits you on the bare counter. He stands to be in between your legs, then cups your face with his hands. “It’s alright, Y/N. Tell me.”
“I love you. There’s no doubt about it. I would die for you.”
His heart races. Sure, he’s heard those words a thousand times, but each time, his heart acts the same way. “I love you, too, darling. Nothing you could say would make me love you less.”
“Good, because I don’t want to lose you. I want to love you for eternity. But… you’re right.” You take a deep breath. “I’m also falling for your brother.”
Kol doesn’t seem fazed by this. If anything, he seems relieved.
“Are you okay?”
“I was afraid you were going to say you wanted him instead.”
Your eyes go wide, “no! Baby, no way. But… if it’s something you’re okay with, I wouldn’t mind being an original groupie.”
He laughs at your choice of words. “That is certainly something I am okay with. You can love whomever you like. I’m just glad you still love me, too.”
“I will always love you, Kol.”
He kisses you deeply, bringing a hand to your back to steady you. “And I love you. And like I said, I am willing to share my girl if it makes her happy. Plus, I trust my brother to keep you and your heart safe.”
You smile, then bite your lip.
“What is it?”
“One more question.”
“Hm?”
“Do you trust your sister, too?”
“You’re in love with Bex, too?”
You can only shrug. A blush rises to your cheeks.
He shakes his head playfully. “Of course I trust my sister. Let’s say this: I trust my family with my girl and her heart.”
“Sounds good,” you peck his lips, then his nose.
“Soooo… do you want to go back out and prove to Damon and Stefan that my family can both share and protect women better than they can?”
“Certainly,” you pop off the counter with Kol’s hands on your waist. “And I can’t wait to see the look on Bex’s and ‘Lijah’s faces when I kiss them unexpectedly.”
You little troublemaker,” he grins as he turns off the faucet, “you fit into this family perfectly.”
◇◇◇◇
A chat about the weather is the only conversation happening when you re-enter the dining room. A big sigh of relief comes from everyone when they see you.
“I hope you’re willing to pay the water bill next month, Kol, because that was a long time to have it running.”
“Relax, brother. Y/N and I were just having a little chat.”
“Oh really?” Damon smirks, “did she slap you for what you said about her? Because that would be well deserved.”
“On the contrary, Damon,” you say, returning to your chair. Kol sits in his, though you only stand behind yours. “It actually gave us time to talk about some things that probably wouldn’t have been brought up otherwise.” As you talk, you make your way to Elijah’s side, putting your hands on his shoulders.
“Ah, and what would that be, Miss Y/N?”
You grin, “why talk about it when I can show you?” Before Damon can answer, you trail your fingers along the man’s face to his chin, feeling the stubble along his jaw. The group sees your eyes roll back in your head, then they watch you move to stand in front of him. “Hi,” you say, blushing mad.
He mouths, ‘what are you doing?’
You’re too giddy to answer; it’d probably come out in a stutter. So, you only smile instead. Then, bending slightly, you lean forward, grabbing and pulling on his tie in the process, and kiss him passionately. His body goes limp immediately, satiated by your kiss after wanting it for so long. The fact that you have him by his tie, dominating him just a bit, doesn’t help his case. Your other hand rises back to his jaw, holding him in place. After a second, the reality of the matter kicks in and he kisses back, bringing his own hands up to your face gently.
Seated directly behind you are Kol and Bex, half of their attention on the scene, and half on the lingerie peeking out from under your skirt. Kol knows damn well you did that on purpose, and he feels himself getting hard at the thought. As for Rebekah, she’s conflicted. She’s not sure if she’s allowed to feel the warmth in her core that you’re making her feel, or if she’s allowed to steal a glance at the black garter adorning your thighs. She tries to poke her brother to ask, but every time she moves her finger, one of the Salvatores glance over to see the younger two’s reaction.
After about a minute, you let go of Elijah and lick your lips. You then stand up and smirk at the brothers. “What would that be, you ask? Well, it gave me a chance to tell my loving boyfriend,” you’ve made your way back to Kol now. Once you’re behind him, you turn his head toward you with a finger on his chin, then kiss him with the same intensity. “That, not only do I love him, but also that I’m falling in love with his brother, as he suspected.” Then you grin again, “but what he didn’t know, but also just learned, is that I’m also falling in love with his sister, too.” After confessing, you bend over to kiss Rebekah as you did Elijah, with your lace set partially on display for the man. His eyes catch it instantly and become locked on you. Meanwhile, Kol, in touching distance, grabs onto your thigh. His hand almost disappears under your skirt completely. The sudden feeling makes you moan into Rebekah’s mouth, causing her to grab the back of your neck and kiss you harder.
Eventually, a cough from Stefan pulls you out of the make-out session. You stop and take your seat back, though Kol’s hand doesn’t leave your body.
“Wow,” he comments with nothing else to say.
Damon, of course, has a reply. “Since you’re sharing, you can give us a kiss, too,” he mocks.
“Nu uh,” you wiggle a finger, “I’m reserved for Mikaelsons only. Plus, I don’t think your girlfriend would like that too much.”
He rolls his eyes. “Only playing.”
“So,” Stefan starts, rather awkwardly. “Dinner was great, Rebekah. Was I wrong to assume you’d be serving dessert tonight, too?”
“Not entirely,” she stands, “I did make one for us. Though it seems you’ll be the only ones eating it, for I already had mine just now.”
She’s on her way to the kitchen when you chuckle, “there’s no way that filled you up, Bex. That was just an appetizer. Trust me, dessert’s way better.” You give her a wink.
The girl’s knees nearly give out. “Is it now?”
You’re about to answer when a squeak leaves your lips instead. Kol’s moved his hand from your thigh to having a finger on your clit. He puts the lightest bit of pressure on it, then says, “she’s right, sister. Dessert’s much better.”
Rebekah goes completely red and hurries to the kitchen to hide her face. Elijah, on the other hand, swallows hard. He’s not sure how he feels about doing something like this with the Salvatore brothers watching. He knows that Kol is, and always has been, rather wild, but this? And if he’s going to be allowed to touch and pleasure you for the first time, he doesn’t want them there. Nor should they be so honored to see your body unclothed; that should be a sight only for those chosen by you.
Elijah’s tempted to pull Kol aside and bring up these concerns, but that would require leaving you alone with the Salvatores. That is something he’d much rather not do. Luckily, Rebekah comes back just in time.
“For you two, who don’t get to share the beautiful Y/N,” she smirks. “Please, feel free to take it home with you so we can get on with private business here.”
Elijah relaxes at her words, but then stiffens again at Damon’s.
“Oh no, we were promised that you could maintain a four way relationship and not fight. We are going to see this through.”
“That was never included, Damon,” Kol snaps, “all you were promised was that we could, not that you could see it. All you’re allowed to see of my girl is what she allows you to see.”
“Your girl?”
“Don’t push it. You’ve already pushed it by welcoming yourselves here anyway. And yes, she is my girl. Just because she shares her love doesn’t mean she’s not still my girl.”
“How do you feel about that?” The man nods to you. “A family of vampires sharing you?”
You giggle as Kol pulls you into his lap. “I don’t know if this has escaped you, Damon, but I gave in before either of these two did. I love them all as much as they do me.”
“Until you fall more in love with one and break the rest of their hearts.”
“I am not Katherine. I’m fully capable of loving them without hurting them. Just you see,” you challenge, a glint in your eyes.
The brothers look to Elijah, knowing he’s been through the ringer with Katherine as well. To their dismay, he’s smiling. “The girl is right. She isn’t Katherine. She has a similar fire, yet is much more kind. Maybe if you two had been so lucky to stumble upon her first, you’d learn that not all women are like Katherine.” Before Damon can argue, he continues, “fortunately for us, and rather unfortunately for you, she’s ours.”
Stefan’s about to comment, but then he sees you smirking. The glint in your eyes, still apparent, and sharp like a dagger, as if daring him to try to convince you otherwise. At that moment, he decides it’s not even worth it to try. He turns towards his brother. “Well. Guess we have to let them figure it out on their own.”
“Guess so.”
Not long after that, the Salvatores are finally out the door, Rebekah’s pies in hand. Damon makes it very clear that if he isn’t allowed to see the action, that he is certainly taking the dessert he is allowed to have. And, he isn’t going to make any effort in returning Rebekah’s pans, either.
“Whatever, don’t care about the pans, go away,” you say, pushing them out the door. “Bye now!” You lock it the minute they’re out. Then, you turn around to face the three vampires looking at you. “Hi.”
“Hello, darling. Quite a pickle you’ve found yourself in,” Kol smiles at you.
Rebekah takes a step towards you. “Are you sure you can handle all three of us, love? It is a lot to handle.” She seems more like she’s challenging you into submission rather than actually asking you the question. You’ve proven you want all of them, now it’s just a matter of seeing if you can catch up.
Your answer is on the tip of your tongue - an equally sassy reply that will tell her everything she needs to know. But then Elijah approaches you with a comment before you can say it.
“Maybe we should talk about this first. Y/N-”
“Oh, enough talking,” you walk over to him, “haven’t we been talking all night?”
His lips curl into a smile, “guess we have. Is this really what you want?”
“Yes, ‘Lijah.”
“Then you shall have it.”
You give three seconds. Three seconds to search his eyes for any hesitation. Three seconds for anyone to speak up with a counter. Nothing. Not a second after is wasted as you rise to your toes to kiss him again. He kisses back deeply, tapping your waist for you to jump. He holds you in place with strong arms, fighting everything to not push you up against the wall. He knows if he does, his siblings will protest.
The protest comes anyway.
“Elijah, you’re stealing the girl,” Rebekah whines.
With a sigh, he speeds you over to the nearest room and sets you down on the bed. As he catches his breath from the adrenaline, Rebekah wastes no time rushing to you and peppering you in kisses. Kol’s not far behind, laying you down the minute Bex comes up for air. Your head rests in his lap while he plays with your hair. Elijah quickly comes back into play, feeling the fabric that is the only thing separating them from seeing you wholly. You make eye contact and nod to him, and instantly, your clothes are torn from your body.
“Gorgeous,” you hear him mutter, running his hands from your stomach down your legs.
“Say,” Kol snickers, “what about this lingerie, darling? Was that on purpose?”
You bite your lip, “knew I’d get you by the end of the night. Didn’t think this would happen.” You nestle your head into him, “but I’m not complaining.”
He grins, “was a lovely surprise to a boring dinner.”
“I’ll second that,” Rebekah bounces her eyebrows at you, making you giggle.
“Kol,” Elijah calls to his brother.
You and the boy look up.
“Switch places. She’s been with you, knows you best. For her first time with all three of us, let’s give her something familiar.”
The boy nods, and you’re secretly thankful for the man’s suggestion. As much as you’re loving this, it’s all very new, and something familiar is greatly appreciated.
“Thank you,” you mutter to Elijah as he takes Kol’s spot in supporting your head.
“Of course, baby. I love you.”
You smile, “I know. I love you, too.”
“You know? How, may I ask?”
“I’ve known since the minute I met you.”
His eyes soften from shock as everything sinks in. You knew he loved you, yet you were dating his brother. But now, they both have you, and Bex, too. Bex, who, at the moment, is giving you a hickey on the neck.
Elijah realizes this and immediately chides, “don’t bite her, Rebekah.”
“Relax, it’s only a hickey. People do it all the time.”
You giggle, “it’s true, ‘Lijah. But I don’t mind if you bite. Kol’s fed from me.”
“He has?” The girl stops her ministrations to read your face.
“Mhm. I trust him, and eventually, he started to trust himself.”
“Who are you and what have you done with my brother?” She jokes.
“I’m right here, Bekah.”
“You’ve fed from her?” She asks again, still shocked.
“Show her, Kol,” you smile up at him. During the last minute of your conversation with the two, he’s been teasing your entrance with his cock, making sure you’re wet enough to fit comfortably.
He bites his lip, debating it, but can’t say no to your face. “Alright, darling. Count of three.” He lines himself up, then covers your body with his own, positioning his teeth right at your neck. “3… 2… 1.” At one, he sinks his teeth in and pushes his cock into your heat at the same time. Your eyes roll back into your head with pleasure as he begins to rock inside you, finding a pace. Kol only drinks for a few seconds before detaching, because he knows Bex will want to try too, if you’ll let her.
“Not long enough, baby,” you say immediately.
“Give Bekah a try,” he nods to his sister, sitting back up.
Rebekah’s still in shock at her brother’s self control, but snaps out of it when you give her the ‘okay’.
“‘Lijah, you too.”
“I shouldn’t.”
“I need it,” you beg.
“She’ll beg you all night,” Kol warns. “Better to give in than deny what you know you both want.”
The argument is convincing. Elijah gives in, taking your wrist. At the same time, he and Bex bite down - her at the other side of your neck - and begin to drink. Kol slows his pace as they do, taking a minute to look into your eyes. I love you, he mouths. You mouth it back.
Seconds later, they come off, too. Elijah wastes no time bringing his own blood to your lips, healing your wounds completely.
“Thank you,” you smile at him.
“Mhm, thank you, girl,” Rebekah interrupts, “you’re bloody amazing.”
Elijah returns your smile, nodding to you.
As soon as you meet his eyes, Kol picks up his pace again until he finds the one you usually like. Though Bex beats him to rubbing your clit, so he uses both hands to hold onto your waist instead. Elijah takes to kissing you hungrily, his hands digging into your scalp. You’re so overstimulated with pleasure, yet it feels so good.
After a bit of this, you start to pant, running out of breath.
“What do you like, baby?” Elijah asks, not wanting to tire you out with kisses.
“Play with her boobs,” Kol suggests, “makes her crazy.”
“Does it now?”
“She’s cum just by me sucking on them at times.”
“Kol!” You whine.
“Don’t get shy now, darling! Little late for that, don’t you think?”
You shut your mouth tight as the three smirk at you. Elijah then repositions his body to sit more to your side, giving him better access to your chest. He makes sure to put a pillow under your head where he had been sitting, then wastes no time playing with your tits, holding, cupping, and squeezing them. The feeling is so good it makes you bite your lip hard enough to draw blood.
“Darling,” Kol mutters, swiping your lip and putting his finger in his mouth, “don’t hold back your pretty little sounds from them. Let them hear what I get to hear from you.” As soon as he says that, he pounds into you hard without warning. You cry out in a strangled moan before you can stop yourself. “Just like that, yes,” he praises. “Good girl.”
Bex immediately picks up on how you react to Kol’s praise and tries it for herself. “Hey, girlie, can you do that for me, pretty please?” She puts more pressure on your clit, touching you exactly how you like.
“Awh,” you moan, “like that, keep doing that. Feels so good, Bex. I- I’m close.”
Meanwhile, Elijah’s transitioned from using hands to using his mouth to stimulate your breasts. He tugs on a nipple with his teeth while pulling the other between his fingertips.
“Fuck, ‘Lijah. Shit. I- I-” whatever you were going to say is cut off by another moan. This spurs the man on, Bex too, and they continue at their paces.
You then turn your attention to Kol. “Right- right there. Perfect. Close. I’m close. Kol?”
“Yes, darling?”
“Cum with me, okay? Please, please, please.” You know begging will do it instantly. Another thing that will make you both cum fast- “and here,” you point to your neck. “Please.”
“Which one?”
“Pick.”
“You pick this time.”
“Kol, I can’t.”
“Can I put them up to the challenge?”
You nod ferociously, desperate for anything.
“Choke or bite, she wants.”
The siblings go still. Neither feel good about choking you, and they’ve already fed.
“Kol, please,” you beg again, “I’m so close.”
“Okay, darling.” He thrusts deeper to crawl back across your body, then holds you in place by the neck as you get closer to your high. In the midst, Bex continues her pleasure on you, while Elijah keeps at his. Then, mere seconds later, you cum hard. A string of curse words that ends as a moan falls out of your mouth. Black spots cloud your vision, due to Kol’s hands on your neck, or the overstimulation, or both, you’re not sure, but you love it. You whine all the way through your orgasm, legs shaking and heart beating rapidly. Shortly after you, Kol cums too, and it takes everything in him not to collapse onto your body. After the two of you ride out your highs, everyone begins to ease up in their pleasuring.
“Not done,” you pant, out of breath still. You crawl up a little ways on the bed to lean against the headboard and its numerous pillows.
“What do you mean, ‘not done’? Girl, I’d think you’d be tired,” Bex says, incredulous.
You answer her by slipping your hand into her pants, feeling for her heat, and inserting a finger. You then unzip her jeans for better access, making her melt instantly.
“Fuck, Y/N,” she whines. When you curl your fingers, she moans louder.
Once you have her where you want her, you move your other hand to the man beside you, rubbing his hard-on through his suit pants. “‘Lijah, come here.”
“You don’t have to pleasure me, baby, I’m alright.”
“Again,” Kol interrupts, “she’ll beg you all night if you don’t let her.”
You smirk up at Elijah, proving Kol’s words true. The man tries to fight it, but desire takes over him. He’s slow to pull himself out, still a bit unsure. You gesture him closer and closer until you’re able to pleasure both him and Bex at the same time.
“I’d rather you straddle my head, ‘Lijah, so I can get you wet, and more comfortable,” you say in between breaths. The man goes red in the face. Never have you ever seen Elijah embarrassed. Neither, apparently, have his siblings.
Bex grins, “brother! You’ve gone shy to Y/N’s dirty talk! I wouldn’t believe it if I wasn’t seeing it.”
You giggle, the girl egging you on now, “I promise it would be much better. Come on.”
Again, he hesitates, but ultimately gives in. You smile as he moves in front of you, not exactly straddling you, but comes at least close enough that you can take him in your mouth. Immediately, you circle your tongue over his tip, sucking slightly in certain places. He lets out a breathy moan which makes you crave him more. Soon, you find a vein on his underside that is especially sensitive, so you tease him by dragging your tongue along it, before finally taking him in full once he’s wet enough.
When you find your pace with Elijah, you refocus your attention back to Rebekah, continuing the curling of your fingers, but also stimulating her clit. You’d love to put your tongue on her, too, but in its absence, you move your fingers inside her instead. Wetness drips from her, pooling onto the bed. Hers, thankfully. She rocks her hips against your hand, holding onto your hip for support. Little whines leave her lips, one after another.
Meanwhile, Kol’s attention is on your clit, driving you to overstimulation yet again. He flicks his tongue against it while keeping two fingers buried inside you. It’s only a matter of time before you all explode from the intense pleasure. If you weren’t so distracted, you’d probably place a bet on it.
Not two minutes later do the second round of orgasms come, and they do in quite a domino effect. Kol blows cool air on your clit and immediately, it sends you into pleasure. You start shaking again, well beyond satiated. Bex is then triggered by your orgasm, having her own not a second after, and having it be just as intense. Her mess is made bigger, cum obvious on the sheets, and she can’t help but giggle. Bex giggling causes the same reaction out of you, to which Elijah’s final stimulation is the vibration from your mouth, and he has his own orgasm. He tries to pull out, but a shared look of eye contact comforts him, knowing you’re okay with it. Once you’ve swallowed it, you loosen your suction from his cock and allow him to pull out completely. He can’t help but to kiss you when you open your mouth to prove it’s all gone.
As soon as you all come down from your highs, one-by-one you collapse on the bed, exhausted. Bex and Elijah are on your sides, while Kol’s between your legs, his head on your chest.
“That was,” Elijah pauses, catching his breath.
“Perfect,” Rebekah finishes for him.
“Quite the girl she is,” Kol says, kissing your tits.
“Need to take care of her back,” Elijah tries to get up.
You hold him down, though, “no, no, stay with me. We do that later. Cuddle for now.”
“Y/N-”
“No, we cuddle for now. I need that more.”
“Okay, baby. We’ve got you.” He settles back down into your side, letting out a long, peaceful sigh.
A second later, a camera snaps.
“Who’s that?” Everyone peers an eye open, except for the one who’s guilty.
“Whoops, sorry.” Kol smirks, “going to send Damon proof that not only are we capable of sharing, but also, that we have the best bloody girlfriend in the world.”
“You’re such a little shit,” you ruffle his hair because he’s too out of reach to kiss. “But I love you. I love all of you.”
“I love you, too, darling.”
“Me too,” Bex yawns.
“We will love you, Y/N, always and forever.”
And you all did love each other, always and forever.

You had gotten to dinner later than normal because of some overflow work you were assigned. Being Sister Imperator’s assistant had its perks, but most of the time it left you with a stack of paper the size of your torso. That’s how you ended up displaced in the dining hall. Where you normally sat with the other Siblings who have been at the Ministry for a decent amount of time was crowded. You couldn’t justify trying to worm your way in. So you took up an open spot with some of the newer Siblings at the end of the hall. You were engrossed in your own world trying to get your brain to stop buzzing for the better part of the meal, only occasionally answering some questions or clearing up misunderstandings that you may have overheard. That was until you heard snickering. You looked up and noticed that the ghouls of The Ghost Project were seated at a table not far from yours. You also noticed that one of them, the quintessence ghoul by the looks of it, was approaching while Dew and Swiss tried and failed to hide their amusement.
The Siblings you were seated with forgot about any conversations that might've been going on when the ghoul came to a stop at the head of the table, his tail wagging rapidly. The mask may have hidden his face, but his mood was clear as day. Everyone at the table looked at him with wide wonder-filled eyes. You just cocked your head at him with a small smile. His tail beat faster if that was even possible.
“I couldn’t help but overhear some of you have never seen ghoul magic before.” He smiled so wide his fangs were peeking out from his lips. Some of the Siblings made small noises in affirmation too wonderstruck to formulate a proper response.
“Well lucky for you I learned a new trick! Do you wanna see it?” All it took was one nodding their head for him to clap his hands together “Great! I’ll need a volunteer though.”
You had never seen people move so quickly in your life. Each one of the Siblings was leaning over one another to get closer to the ghoul in hopes they’d be picked. He just laughed and held up his hands in a passive gesture.
“Alright okay, how about…you!”
 The ghoul motions to the Sibling closest to him. He nods his head eagerly and waits for whatever instruction. The ghoul reaches out and places a hand on his shoulder. The air smells like ozone for a brief moment and you can hear a faint static noise as you watch tiny purple sparks dance to life and connect the two. Everyone at the table seems to be holding their breath watching with an intensity you don’t even see during Black Mass. You huff a little amused laugh and eat while you watch the display.
When the ghoul removes his hand the Sibling is staring at him in awe as he beams down at him. There’s a confused murmur through the group and out of instinct you answer their questioning
“Telepathy. Some quint ghouls have that ability.”
 It’s almost humorous how casually you talk about demons and magic. It goes quiet for a moment. You look up from your plate to see all of the Siblings and the ghoul staring at you. His mouth was half open and it was only then did you realized you definitely just interrupted him. You panic internally for about a second before you notice his tail never stopped wagging. He made a move to walk over to your spot at the table, but he didn’t get very far before he was yanked backward with a yelp.
“Stop bothering the Siblings and eat your food before it gets cold or else you get leftovers in the den.” You recognized the voice of Cirrus from under the mask.
The moment he was gone, they all began questioning the man who was lucky enough to be chosen. He tried his best to describe it, but it was obvious he was floundering under the attention. You weren’t completely exhausted yet so you decided to throw him a bone and began to explain what you knew of ghoul magic and some of the things you’ve seen it do. However, the entire time you spoke you couldn’t help but notice the little quintessence ghoul hadn’t taken his eyes off you once. Every time he realized you were looking back, he would wave and smile broadly, and every single time Dew and Swiss would tease him. You couldn’t help but laugh at the display, it was pretty cute seeing how excited he got.
After you had finished and decided you had enough conversation for one night, you stood to leave, bidding everyone at the table a nice night. You made it approximately five feet out of the dining hall before you felt a clawed hand on your wrist. You stopped and turned to face none other than the little quintessence ghoul. His purring was filling the otherwise quiet hallway.
You cock your head with a smile not quite reaching your tired eyes.
“Need something…?”
“Phantom.” He grinned.
“Phantom.”
He trilled happily “Say it again.”
You huffed a laugh and took your hand from his grasp “Answer my question first.”
He took his helmet off, shook his hair out, and looked at you with bright eyes, cheeks dusted a deeper purple.
“Can I spend the night with you?” His tail wagged as he waited for your answer.
That was not what you were expecting him to say if you were being honest with yourself. You had been at the Ministry for years now, so random demons offering a night of sin was nothing surprising. What was surprising was just how forward he was. Usually, it took the new ghouls a bit of time to gain that level of confidence and interest in the humans of the Ministry.
When the silence dragged his face flustered deeper.
“That’s not what I meant dear Sibling…I mean well not unless you’re offering.”
You smile amused at the way his voice pitched higher awkwardly, you almost feel bad for your response.
“Not tonight Phantom. I’m exhausted from work.”
“Oh! Well that’s fine we can just—“
“I meant no to both sweetheart.”
The wag of his tail faltered as his purring got softer. You didn’t miss the brief flash of disappointment in his expression before he tried to hide it. He lightly shook his head causing his earrings to jingle.
“Well…can I walk with you to your room?”
You laughed “Sure I don’t see why not.”
“Great!” He immediately grabbed your hand and started walking down the hallway. You gave a light tug on his hand. He looked at you with a little ‘mmrr?’ sound.
“Uh, Phantom…my room is that way.” You pointed to the right with your other hand.
He smiled awkwardly making a noise of affirmation and turned to the direction you pointed to and began walking with your hand still in his. He definitely has not gotten used to his otherworldly strength because he was practically dragging you behind him. Eventually, you gathered your footing and were able to walk side by side. He kept glancing at you as he walked and would startle every time you caught him.
When you arrived at the door to your room you dropped his hand ready to say goodnight. Before you could squeak even one word out he wrapped you in a tight but quick hug. You rolled your eyes with a smile and hugged him back with a pat on his back. When he let go you opened your door and stepped in but not before turning around to him.
“Goodnight Phantom.”
You began to close the door and noticed that he tilted his head to keep looking at you until it was completely closed.
You smiled at the closed door for a moment before going about your before-bed routine. You flopped onto the horde of fluffy pillows and blankets and let the events of the day replay in your head. You let out a sigh feeling content at finally having a moment to yourself. It’s not that you didn’t like sitting with the new Siblings, but it felt more like babysitting or hanging out with a coworker. Then you thought to Phantom. You smiled to yourself. New ghouls were always so much fun, they were always so curious about everything Earth had to offer. It was even better when they finally got used to the company of humans and began seeking interactions. You would be lying if you said you didn’t find his behavior a bit endearing already. You had a feeling this wouldn’t be the last time Phantom followed you back to your room.
Turns out, that came much earlier than you expected. You had woken up a bit before your alarm and decided to just accept your fate and get up and ready for the day. When you opened your door to leave, you immediately tripped over something. The mass in front of your door let out a surprised yelp. You caught yourself before falling. When you turned around you were met with the sight of Phantom slowly sitting up rubbing sleep from his eyes.
“G’moring.” He said with a yawn that ended in a whine.
“Phantom I did you…did you sleep there all night?”
“Yeah, why?” He asked it so casually with a hint of genuine confusion.
You stared at him bug-eyed
 “Why? You weren’t kicked out of the ghoul den already were you?”
He cocked his head raising an eyebrow
“Uhh no? I wanted to walk with you to breakfast but then I realized I didn’t know how early you got up and then I realized I usually sleep late. So naturally the solution was to sleep right here.” He emphasized his statement by tapping the floor with his tail causing the piercings to scrape against the stone.
You laughed with a mix of amusement and disbelief “Naturally.”
You held out your hand to him and he took it eagerly. You helped him up and he hugged you again. As you two walked to the dining hall, he wrapped his tail around your wrist. With how early it was there weren’t many people at breakfast which you didn’t mind. It was mostly older Siblings and a few Clergy ghouls. The Siblings gave you knowing looks and you just rolled your eyes in amusement. The only other band ghoul that was present was Cirrus. When she noticed the way Phantom was leaning practically on top of you she came over.
“Bug I think you’re suffocating the dear Sibling.”
You shook your head as he whined “It’s fine Cirrus I don’t mind.” You reached up to scratch behind his pointed ears for emphasis. His tail beat heavily against the bench as a loud purr kicked up in his chest.
“Alright alright but if he does start bothering you, you know where to find me.” She said with amusement.
“I can handle myself” you grinned at her “I know how to handle a ghoul.”
Her tail flicked playfully behind her as she turned to go back to where she had sat.
You finished breakfast rather quickly after that and untangled Phantom’s tail from your arm making him pout. You apologized and gave him a quick explanation of your job as Sister Imperator’s assistant and why you had to go so suddenly. He seemed to accept it despite his dejected look. You ruffled his hair and bid him a good day which caused him to brighten a bit.
~~~
Apparently Phantom didn’t quite accept your explanation. Your task for the day, after finishing the paperwork you didn’t get to yesterday, was to run around the Ministry delivering said paperwork to whomever it applied to. Somehow every corner you turned you bumped into Phantom. At first, he would apologize, give your hand a squeeze, and then walk off to do his own chores, but after he realized you didn’t seem to be getting annoyed with the ‘coincidences’ he simply started to follow you around. He kept his distance for a bit genuinely not wanting to interfere with your job, but every time you turned and caught his eye and didn’t tell him off he would creep closer.
By the end of the day, he was practically your personal escort, walking side by side with you asking you questions just to hear you talk with his tail curled idly around your arm. Little did you know, that soon became your new daily routine. You would wake up to him waiting eagerly outside your door so you could walk to the dining hall together. He would disappear for a bit to speed through his own chores before coming to find you no matter what task Imperator had you up to. When you finished you two would then go to the dining hall for dinner where you’d make faces and hand gestures to each other from the tables while the ghoul pack and your friends respectively tease you both. It didn’t take much longer before he started to sleep over every so often.
As the months crawled on and the first tour date came closer you began to see less of him which made your heart oddly heavy. You tried, and failed, to not think too much about it. You obviously didn’t like him, he was just being friendly. You saw the way he interacted with the other ghouls and some other Siblings or the way he acted when you would sneak a peek at rehearsals. He was just affectionate! He liked attention! But he only walked with you. He only got up early to meet you. He only looked at you doing dinner. He only followed you back to your room. And his purring helped you sleep so much better than any weighted blanket. And the way his tail always betrayed his emotions. And how his eyes always lit up when he spotted you. And maybe your heart skipped a beat when he once confided in you after a rough rehearsal saying that you made him feel grounded.
Aw, shit was all you could think as you felt your cheeks heat and the list of reasons grew. You shook your head slightly to clear it and returned to the task at hand. You had been working on a massive project for Imperator that needed to be finished before the band went on tour. It’s taken up practically all your time, you barely had time to get proper meals in. That also meant you’ve been having less and less time with Phantom. You could tell it was definitely affecting him just as much. The moments you two did get together he was even more clingy, if that was even possible. He also seemed more tired, he still was rather energetic, but he definitely seemed toned down. Your suspicions were confirmed when he got back from a longer-running rehearsal and his quintessence sparked to life without him even noticing. He also took to sleeping in your bed every night now, burying his face deep into the crook of your neck and passing out with his tail wrapped around your waist.
You worked for a few more hours before leaning back in your chair to stretch. Your eye caught the clock on the wall and you cursed. It was well past midnight. Phantom’s rehearsal ended four hours ago. You found a good stopping point and quickly packed everything up and made your way to your room. You were ready to have to spend the night on your own for the first time in almost a month. You were already ragged from working all day and the idea of having your new routine, your only time with Phantom, getting disturbed made you feel even worse. You choked down the burn in your throat as you pushed your bedroom door open.
“There’s my comet.”
You gasped and looked up to see a rather exhausted-looking Phantom sitting happily on your bed. He was already in his pajamas and there were multiple books stacked on your nightstand. He blinked slowly and cracked a wide smile.
You smiled in return and willed yourself not to cry in front of him. However, the way his brows knit together before standing up and walking over to you reminded you. Quintessence ghouls can feel emotions. He crushed you against his chest and kicked up a purr in his chest. You attempted to stutter out a mix of an apology and an explanation, but he just shushed you and practically threw you both backward onto your bed. You didn’t even care you were still in your day clothes, you didn’t want to move now that you were right where you wanted to be. And then you smelled it. The air had suddenly felt electric. The scent of ozone and frost filled the space. You felt a little tingle in your mind before hearing Phantom.
I’m so happy you’re here. I missed you so fucking much. I like you so fucking much.
Your eyes snapped open. Oh. You definitely weren’t meant to hear that, at least not like this. However, your sleep-deprived mind couldn’t care less at the moment.
“Hey.” You shifted your shoulder to get him to lift his head from your neck.
“Huh? What is it?”
You gave him a quick, chaste kiss on his lips before pulling back and kissing his nose.
“I missed you too.”
It took him approximately five seconds to really understand what just happened as you sent him entirely offline. When his brain finally caught up, though, he laughed with so much genuine joy that it made your heart beat a little faster. He pulled you so impossibly close to him and peppered your whole face with kisses before leaving a long kiss on your lips. He nuzzled his face right back into your neck as you scratched between his horns. The silence was periodically broken with Phantom giggling to himself and pressing another kiss to your neck and shoulder. This went on until he ended up falling asleep with a slight smile on his face and a purr deep in his chest.
You curled into his hold and never felt more content in your life. You closed your eyes and fell into a peaceful sleep soothed by his rumble and his weight.
Okay. So maybe you did like him. Just a little bit.
Astarion parts your legs with his knee and lowers his lips to yours in a hungry kiss. Your hand sweeps gently up the creamy skin of his side, and you revel in its familiar chill. The tips of your fingers gently brush the edges of the raised scars on his back.
Astarion stills under your touch at once, his muscles going taught as he clenches his jaw.
Fuck.
You pull back to look at him. His eyes are squeezed tightly closed, and his brows knit together in a pained grimace.
“Astarion?”
He sighs, “I’m sorry.”
“You have nothing to be sorry for. Too much for today?”
“Yes,” he whispers as shifts from his position between your thighs, sitting upright on the bed.
He runs his fingers through the silvery curls of his hair, frustrated. It breaks your heart every time seeing him like this.
“Hey, look at me.”
He glances back at you. Despair swirls in his crimson eyes. His mouth is set in a hard line.
“It’s okay.”
He shakes his head. His voice shakes with frustration, “But I want this, want you, all of you.”
You sit up and position yourself beside him but take care not to touch him.
“I know. Sometimes what we want doesn’t always align with what we need.”
He groans with a small smile tugging at his lips, “Stop being so nice to me.”
You giggle, “Why? Because it makes you want to be nice back?”
He smirks at the shared memory, “Precisely, my dear.”
His arm wraps around you, pulling you close up against him.
Laying your head on his shoulder, you take a deep breath and let your eyes drift closed, enjoying the intimacy.
This was an ongoing battle that you doubted would be won anytime soon if it ever could be. Astarion’s trauma still hooked its greedy claws into him. He would often initiate but would freeze up under your touch before you could make love.
“I could try…” he trails off.
You know what he’s going to offer. He always did.
“No, you beautiful, beautiful fool. That’s enough for today, but I will accept cuddles… if you’re up for it.”
He chuckles and lays back, resting his head on the feather pillow.
“Come here, darling.”
You cuddle up beside him, laying your head gently in the crook of his arm. He plants a soft kiss on your forehead.
When you look up at him, he looks a million miles away, staring at the ceiling blankly, losing himself in his thoughts.
You feel an odd unease tighten in your stomach. This happens regularly. Usually, your supportive words are enough to bring him back, but this time feels different somehow.
He breaks the silence with a desolate whisper, “Do you think I will ever get better?”
His desolate tone is heart-wrenching. You’ve got the feeling that he believes he may be irreparably broken from discussions you and him have had.
You plant a light kiss on his chest. Propping yourself up on your arm, you reach and cradle his face in your palm. His eyes drift from the ceiling down to you.
“You’re not broken, Astarion. We will get through this. Give it time.”
He nuzzles his face into your palm, seeking the comfort of your touch.
“I have an eternity, but your time is finite.”
You scoff at him. You’re a High Elf, just like him, and although 750 years may not be infinite like his, you have centuries to either find a cure for him or extend your life further. He’s well aware of this, but lately, he has been overly focused on the fact that you will die eventually.
“Exactly how old do you presume me to be, Astarion?”
It dawns on you that he never actually asked how old you were. For all he knew, half of your life was already over.
“Last time I checked, it was considered impolite to ask a lady her age.”
You can’t help yourself, and you burst out laughing. After all the things you two had been through together, and he thinks asking your age is going to, what, offend you?
Ridiculous man.
The expression on his face is a mixture of shock and puzzlement. His eyebrow is cocked up, and he stares at you quizzically.
“What’s so funny?”
You smirk, “My love, we have enraged and killed Gods, fought countless fiends, demons and devils, and felled a Netherbrain together, and you worry that you, my partner, my soul mate, my everything, asking my age is impolite?”
He grins, “Well… when you put it like that, I suppose it does seem a little ridiculous.”
“I have many centuries ahead of me, and I will spend them all with you, I hope.”
Astarion smiles, but there is something hidden in that smile, and it brings back the uneasy feeling you felt before. You can't quite place what it is.
Astarion grabs your hands and holds them, his thumbs caressing them comfortingly.
“I love you, and I will love you forever. You know that, right?”
There’s an odd urgency straining his voice as if he needs to know that you know this. That uneasy feeling blooms into pure anxiety at the urgency in his voice, the look in his eyes and even the smile on his face. Something feels wrong.
“Tell me what’s going on, Astarion. You’re starting to scare me.”
“Don’t be scared, my sweet. I just want you to know that I love you, now and forevermore.”
Your heart races inside your chest. Your stomach is in knots. Your whole body is screaming at you that something isn’t right.
You look at him and search his face for any signs that something is amiss, but you can’t see anything. He looks relaxed, if a little sad, but that isn’t unusual after he couldn’t perform.
“Shhhh, my love.” he purrs, “everything is fine.”
He rubs your back and kisses your shoulder softly, trying to comfort you. You lean into him.
“Astarion…”
“It’s okay. Everything is going to be okay.” he says in a low whisper close to your ear.
“Come, my love. Let’s lay down for a while until night falls. Once you fall asleep, I’ll slip out to go hunting.”
You lay back down with him, putting your head on his chest.
For some strange reason, be it due to your anxiety or his strange behaviour, you desperately don’t want him to go hunting, not tonight.
“You could feed on me tonight if you want?”
“As tempting an offer as that is, there is no need. There are plenty of animals in the forest.”
“I know, but you still could.”
You don’t even know why you’re pushing this so hard, but something deep down in you is frantic to keep him close.
“Not tonight, darling.”
He uses the same tone he used with that vile blood merchant at Moonrise, and you know better than to push it any further.
You try to relax back into him, but your body is buzzing with an anxiety you have not felt in some time. If only you could place it…
Astarion starts to hum your favourite tune low in his throat as he always did when you were feeling anxious while rubbing your arm with his fingers.
You slowly drift into a troubled trance.
Tumblr media
When you wake up the next morning, Astarion is nowhere to be found. You had felt him leave to go hunting, but he never returned.
Did he get caught by someone or something? Did the sunrise take him by surprise, and he found someplace to wait it out?
He is always home well before the sun starts to creep over the horizon.
This was entirely unusual. He always returned and crawled back into bed with you.
Leaping out of bed, you throw your robe on and glance out the door. The day is cloudy and cool, and you can smell the rain. In a frantic rush, you throw your boots on and start toward the forest you know he goes hunting in most.
You wander the forest, calling out to him, but there are no traces of him. No dead carrion, no footprints, no signs of a struggle - just nothing. Your heart is hammering in your tightening chest, and you search frantically for anything that could lead you to him.
You spend the entire day wandering the forests. Even when the rain starts to pour down on you, leaving you soaked and freezing, you endure.
The darkness of night envelops the land, and you return home utterly exhausted, hoping to find him there safe and sound.
You open the door, and the little house is as dark, quiet and as empty as you left it.
You start a fire in the large stone fireplace and stand there to warm your frozen body.
Where could he have gone? Why did he go? What did I do?
You look around the little place you had shared with him for over a year.
It looks so empty without him…
A yellow-tinged envelope catches your eye, sitting on your bedside table. You must have missed it in your rush to go find him this morning.
Picking it up, a sense of dread fills you. It smells of rosemary, bergamot, and brandy. Your hands shake as they open the letter, and you slip out the neatly folded piece of paper.
Placing the envelope down, you sit on the edge of the bed, staring at the folded letter. You pray that this isn’t what you think it is, but a part of you knows it’s precisely what you fear.
Your trembling hands have trouble unfolding the parchment. It’s written in a beautiful hand.
“My Dearest Love,
My only one, I’m sorry it had to be this way. I knew I would never have the strength to say goodbye to you in person, to look into your eyes and see the hurt I’d caused. I am a coward, as I always have been.
I believe being with me is holding you back from the beautiful life and love you deserve; one I am unable to provide for you.
I love you too much to keep dragging you down into the dark.
I hope you can forgive me one day.
You made my dead heart beat anew. I could never forget you.
I love you now and forevermore.
Love always,
Astarion"
Tears slide down your reddened face and drip onto the parchment in your hand. Once you’re finished reading it, it slips from your fingers and floats to the floor.
He left me…
You curl up on the bed you had shared with him for years, breathing the scent of him that lingered on the sheets. Violent sobs wrack your body as your heart is torn asunder.
How could he do this…
You cry until your body can’t produce any more tears, and you finally drift into a grief-stricken sleep.
In the morning, you look around the little house you shared with him and realize that he had taken some of his belongings but not all of them.
How long had he been playing this?
Your once cozy home now feels cold, empty and claustrophobic. The walls feel like they are closing in on you.
What am I going to do?
Tumblr media
You stay in that little house for a couple of weeks, hoping Astarion will change his mind and come back to you.
A useless fantasy
He never returns, but you never expected him to.
You had spent every night over the last several weeks wandering the forest surrounding the area, checking his favourite hunting spots.
In the city, you had tried searching for him in the taverns, the hostels, the flophouses, everywhere you could think of. You even followed the roads until sunrise, hoping you might bump into him.
In truth, you knew that you would never find him if he didn’t want you to, but you had to try at least.
You spend the next years searching for him in every place you can think of.
You search Baldur’s Gate and all his regular haunts.
You go back to the Underdark to see if he went there. He had talked about helping the other spawn at one point, but his siblings tell you they haven’t seen him. You even use Detect Thoughts covertly to see if they are lying to you, just in case.
You return to the Grove even though you know it’s a long shot. He wasn’t ever fond of that place.
You even search old camping spots he was particularly fond of. You doubted he would return to sleeping on the ground, but you tried anyway.
You find nothing, of course. It was as if he just disappeared from existence entirely.
Eventually, all hope fades away, and you are forced to face the fact that he’s gone and he’s not coming back.
Not knowing where else to turn, you decide to go to Waterdeep, where Gale has kindly offered that you stay with him for as long as you need to.
You start a new life there, as best you can.
Months Later
“Good morning! Can I offer you some tea?”
Gale’s overly chipper tone in the morning makes you cringe inwardly.
How could someone be this happy in the morning?
“Yes, please.”
You rub your tired eyes, yawning.
“Splendid!”
Gale places a steaming mug of herbal tea on the table, and you take it in your hands, enjoying the warmth.
“You look tired, my friend. Are nightmares still troubling you?”
Your rest is plagued by constant, unforgiving nightmares that often wake you up screaming into the dead of night.
“I’m fine. If I keep you up at night, I could move to a room further away?”
Gale’s manor was grand, of course. It had more rooms than you cared to count and all the luxuries you could ever want. Despite that, this never felt like home, even after all this time.
“There’s no need. I’m usually awake, nose buried in a good book. At least it is nothing like Wyll’s snoring. Gods.”
You both laugh at that. Wyll had snored so loud some nights that you were worried Astarion would kill him just for some peace and quiet.
“So, what’s on the docket for today?”
“Oh, I’m going to go out into the city to meet some friends.”
“That sounds like a lovely idea! I’m glad you’re making friends. I’d love to meet them.” Gale’s grins happily.
“Of course, um, one day, okay?”
“I can host a grand dinner and make them my signature dish!”
You almost choke on your tea. Gale tried, but most of his cooking was… lacklustre.
“I better go get ready then. Thank you for the tea.”
Returning to your room, you slip into a clean robe and pull on your boots before heading down the long, winding staircase.
Gale is waiting at the bottom of the stairs, “will you be home in time for dinner?”
“Oh, no, probably not. Don’t wait for me.”
“Be careful out there at night, this isn’t Baldur’s Gate, but it’s not exactly safe either,” he warns with a worried look.
You want to roll your eyes at him but stop yourself. Did he think you couldn’t take care of yourself? You had spent years roaming Faerûn looking for Astarion by yourself and only returned with a handful of new scars.
Well, ones he can see anyway.
“I’ll be careful, Gale. Thank you.”
With that, you slip out of the door into the air, chilled by the breeze coming off the sea. It was truly beautiful here… if only you could appreciate it.
You walk briskly through the busy city streets, wanting to leave them behind you as quickly as possible. Waterdeep was a busy city, and people already packed the thoroughfare going about their days.
You had spent so much time by yourself during your years searching for Astation that you had become accustomed to being alone. You were still trying to acclimatize to city life again.
Stopping at a small tavern, you buy yourself some wine.
Probably not the healthiest way to deal with my issues...
Near the outskirts of the city, you see the familiar little path that you walk almost every day. It took you to a beautiful lookout point that no one seemed to visit. It was your favourite place to be alone.
The wealthy of this city don’t want to ruin their fine boots, I suppose.
You sit on the edge of the cliff face, letting your legs hang over precariously.
What am I going to do about Gale wanting to meet these “friends” of mine
Truthfully, you’d made up these “friends” so you could get some time alone. Gale was your friend, and you enjoyed his company, but he could be overattentive at times.
The silence up here was as beautiful as the views. The noises of the city were left behind, and only the soft winds blowing through the trees could be heard.
You uncork one of the bottles and drink straight from it. You had no; how did Gale put it - ah yes, decorum.
You spend the entire day sitting up there, drowning your heartache in the only elixir that could lessen the pain in your chest and numb the void in your soul.
I can’t believe it’s been years.
You often think about the time you spent together, replaying it over and over, analyzing every interaction, every word, every touch.
What did I do wrong? Was it something I said? Something I did? Something I didn’t do? Something I didn’t say?
Tears fall from your eyes at the memories, and you wipe them away with the back of your hand.
I thought we were happy.
You watch the light of day slowly fade as the sun drops below the horizon, blanketing the city in the dullness of night.
I guess I should go back.
You stumble your way down the steep path.
Perhaps I had too much today.
Reaching the city, you walk through the now slightly less busy streets. Much of the throngs of people have retired to their homes or, more likely, the taverns of the city. You hear vivacious laughter from some of the taphouses, signaling the end of another day.
A light breeze stirs, and you faintly catch the scent of rosemary and bergamot. Even in the wine’s blissfully numbing embrace, your heart clenches and leaps in your chest.
You look around in every direction, but no one and nothing stands out.
You sigh, chiding your heart, telling it to stop flip-flopping around in your chest.
It isn’t him. It will never be him again.
You continue walking, but every time the breeze stirs, that smell of rosemary and bergamot drifts with it.
Great, now the very Gods themselves are fucking with me.
You can’t help but stop to look around again. You make sure to pay extra attention to dark corners and alleys, but you see nothing out of the ordinary.
Or perhaps, I’m just going crazy.
You shake your head and laugh at yourself for being so foolish, but another tear escapes your eye and glides slowly down your cheek.
Rounding a corner into a dimly lit corridor, you come face to face with a group of people looking particularly dishevelled. Their eyes slither over you repulsively.
“Well, well, what do we have here? A little lady, all lost and alone?”
Excellent. This is just what I need today - a mugging.
“Don’t be scared; no one has to get hurt here. Just give us your coin, and we will be on our way. Won’t we, lads?”
Foul, yellow-stained toothy grins split across the faces of the others malevolently.
They each draw small blades, so small you would hardly call them daggers. You very nearly laugh at their pathetic excuse for weapons.
The citizens of Waterdeep must be easy to scare; fortunately, I am not.
Grasping the weave, you turn, but before you can even get a cantrip playing on your fingertips, you hear a familiar voice.
“Touch her and die.”
No… it can’t possibly be.
The group of dishevelled people look around wildly, trying to find the source of that voice.
One of them steps forward threateningly, “Trying to play tricks on us, sorcerer? We aren’t so easily spooked.”
Your eyes search the rooftops surrounding the corridor. If he were to be anywhere, it would be there. You don’t see anything at first, but you catch a glimpse of movement and faintly make out a figure moving over the roofs shrouded in darkness.
Stepping closer, with that sad excuse for a dagger pointed at you, the man growls, “Your coin. Now. We won’t ask nicely again, little lady.”
Astarion jumps down in front of you with his blades drawn.
“Final warning. Try to touch her and die.”
You’re speechless, just staring at the back of his head in bewilderment.
How much did I have to drink today? Am I hallucinating?
The group sizes Astarion up, no doubt wondering if all 5 of them could take on 1 of him.
With a shake of your head, you finally regain some of your composure and stand next to Astarion with a fireball playing on your fingertips.
“Do they dare?” he whispers only loud enough for you to hear.
“I kind of wish they would,” you whisper back, but lower knowing his hearing is much better than your own.
He chuckles under his breath.
They stare at you with your fire, and the look at their weapons compared to Astarion’s, gawking at them before they bolt off as if the fires of the Hells themselves were licking at their ankles, leaving you and Astarion standing there laughing.
The laughter falls away abruptly and is replaced by abashed crimson eyes as he turns toward you.
“Astarion?”
You reach out to him, needing to be sure this isn’t a hallucination brought on by your sleep deprivation or just another dream.
He gently takes your hand in his and plants a soft kiss on the back. The bracing chill of his skin sends a shiver running up your spine.
“Yes, darling. It’s me.”
Your temper ignites, rage flashes through you like wildfire, and you shove him hard.
“You left me!”
Your lower lip quivers. Tears immediately flood your eyes and spill down your reddened cheeks in small streams.
The corners of his mouth draw downwards, and remorse saturates his expression.
“I know.”
Your chest feels tight as if your lungs are constricting around your wildly beating heart, and you swallow the lump rising in your throat.
“What did I do wrong?” Your voice shakes.
His eyebrows pop upwards, creasing his forehead and his eyes round in shock.
“You didn’t do anything wrong.”
“Then why?!”
Bringing his hand to the back of his neck, he sighs, “I thought… I thought it was for the best.”
“For who?”
You know the answer, but you want to hear him say it.
“You.”
Indignation reignites the raging wildfire, and you shoot him a smouldering glower.
“Fuck you, Astarion! What gave you the right to decide what’s best for me?”
“You’re right.”
His admittance catches you off guard. The repentant tone of his voice washes over you like a wave, quelling the fiery rage burning through your veins.
Closing your eyes, you take a deep breath, filling your lungs with the brisk air, trying to rein in your emotions.
Exhaling slowly through your mouth, you meet his gaze again, “Why are you here, Astarion?”
He shuffles his feet, “I’ve been looking for you.”
You scoff, “Why? Why now?”
He rubs his hands together, “If you are willing to hear me out, I would like to… talk.” he glances away from you, unsure of himself, “I understand if you don’t want to. If you never wish to see me again, say the word, and you will never have to lay eyes on me again.”
“Not tonight.”
“Of course, whenever you want to. I’m staying at an inn on the edge of town called Golden Harp Inn, room 2.”
“I’ll think about it. Goodbye, Astarion.”
You turn away from him, squeezing your eyes shut, biting your lower lip, fighting the urge to cry.
“Would you allow me to walk you home?”
Your eyelashes sweep up as you look to the heavens, exasperated.
“Are you going to follow me regardless?”
He chuckles, “Probably, but I’ll be eminently more discreet about it.”
“You know I can take care of myself, right?”
“Of course, darling. I’m well aware you can burn anyone you wish to ash, or worse.”
A small smile pulls the corner of his mouth upward, and his fangs just barely peek out of his lips.
That damn smile tugs at your heart strings as it always did.
Gods, I’ve missed him.
You roll your eyes, “Fine.”
“Lead on.”
You walk together in an awkward silence. His trained eyes observe the surroundings, instinctively searching for dangers lurking in the murky gloom. You’re thankful when you reach Gale’s grandiose manor.
Astarion looks up at the tower reaching high into the sky, clearly impressed.
“You live here?”
“This is Gale’s Manor. I’ve been staying here with him.”
A forlorn look passes over his face, and he looks down at the ground.
“I see,” his eyebrow cocks inquisitively but regains his confident composure quickly, “I hope to see you soon. Goodnight, my dear.”
With no further ado, he strides away and disappears into the twilight like a ghost.
What in the Nine Hells am I going to do?
You give your head a quick shake, trying to dislodge your whirling thoughts.
The manor is dark when you enter, with only a few flickering candles strewn about in various places.
You tiptoe up to your way up to your room, close and lock the large door, and slowly sink to the ground, wrapping your arms around your knees.
You let the sorrow you feel consume you, and you sob inconsolably.
Tumblr media
You awake with a start and find yourself on the floor where you had sunk to and cried yourself into some semblance of a trance.
Pushing yourself to your feet, you look at yourself in the mirror hanging on the opulently wallpapered wall. Your eyes are bloodshot and swollen with dark bags stretching out under your eyes. You groan at your reflection.
Great.
Slipping into a clean robe, you make your way downstairs. Glancing out the tall window, you surmise that dawn had barely broken the horizon. The sun sits low, split in half by the bay. The golden light is just starting to brighten the dark sky.
Sighing, you make yourself some tea and sit on the terrace. The steaming hot cup warms your hands, providing a sense of comfort.
What in the Hells am I going to do?
You hadn't been able to think about it last night, consumed by grief. The voice in your head screams at you. Your intuition wails desperately at you that you should probably ask him to leave and never return. He broke you once, and you still haven’t recovered from his sudden disappearance. Unfortunately, what you know and what you want are constantly at war with each other.
I don’t want him to go.
Whether you liked it or not, your heart still belonged to him, and somehow, you knew it always would.
Gale’s voice breaches the serene silence of the emerging dawn.
“You’re up early this morning.”
Startled, you jump, and your tea spills into your lap.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to startle you.” He says as he grabs a towel from the kitchen and hands it to you.
Taking the towel, you wipe your lap, “It’s okay. I was just lost in my thoughts.”
“Care to share what’s on your mind? Perhaps I could be of some assistance or provide a friendly ear.”
Should I tell him about Astarion?
You know you should. Gale was your friend, after all. You had quite literally been through hell and back together. He could help you sort out this mess you found yourself in if only you would let him in.
For some reason, you feel the desperate need to keep Astarion’s resurgence to yourself.
“No, it’s just my nightmares again.”
You feel an immediate gush of insurmountable guilt. The lie slips out of your mouth skillfully, much too easily for your comfort, but you’re not ready to share Astarion just yet, not until you figure out why he is here and what he wants from you.
“I’m going to go for a walk. I need to clear my head. Do you need me to pick anything up while I’m out?”
Gale shrugs his shoulder, “No, no. There’s no need to trouble yourself. Enjoy your walk.”
The early morning air is colder than you had prepared for, and you shiver slightly. You spend the day aimlessly wandering around the city, lost in your thoughts of Astarion.
What could he possibly want now? How long had he been looking for you? How did he know you were in Waterdeep?
You had so many questions that only he could answer.
The day passes in a blur, and before you know it, you’re standing outside the Golden Harp Inn as the sun starts to dip below the horizon.
You stand outside the inn in a paralyzing apprehension. An inquisitory voice penetrates your thoughts, breaking you out of them.
“Can I help you?”
Your eyes drift from the worn sign of the tavern and meet the woman's anticipatory glare.
How long have I been standing out here?
You shake your head, “Sorry. I’m looking for someone who might be staying here.”
Her brows raise in a suspicious glower, “And you’re looking for them outside?”
It was a fair question.
You plaster on the most innocent grin you can muster. “No, I just, uh... I wasn’t sure I had the right place, is all.”
She gives you a curt nod, “Well, why don’t you describe who you are looking for? I know all of my patrons.”
Your mouth quirks up in a half smile.
How do I describe him?
“Elf, extremely pale, obnoxiously smart mouth.”
“Oh, him,” she rolls her eyes hard, “he’s in room 2. Up the stairs, second door on your right.” she hesitates, judging you, “Be careful around that one, dear. He looks like he breaks hearts left and right.”
Gods, you have no idea.
You nod in appreciation, “Thank you.”
As you walk up the creaking staircase, your body trembles in anxious anticipation. You take deep breaths, trying to steady the untamed beating of your heart.
You warily eye the wooden door with the tarnished bronze #2 nailed precariously onto it, but you hesitate to knock.
Do I want to do this?
A muffled voice rings out from behind the closed door.
“I can hear you breathing, you know.”
Fuck.
Astarion opens the door and gives you a shallow bow, inviting you in.
“How did you know it was me breathing? It could have been anyone.”
He chuckles, “I can also smell your delectable blood, and I would recognize that scent anywhere.”
Of course, how could I forget that?
You bolster yourself, puffing out your chest in a silly attempt to appear more confident than you’re feeling.
“Well, I’m here. What did you want to talk to me about?”
“Straight to business, I see?”
You scowl at him in a warning, “Astarion.”
“Okay, darling. Okay.”
He stares at your with an eyebrow cocked, “Are you cold?”
“No.”
He rolls his eyes exasperatedly, “You’re shivering, my dear.”
Am I?
“Here.” he drapes a blanket around your shoulders, pulling it tight in front of you, “better?”
He’s standing close to you, and you inhale his comforting scent. He smells like the home you’ve been yearning to come back to.
“Better.”
He smiles, “Good.” He pauses, rubbing his hands together, “You… you might want to sit for this.”
Your stomach leaps into your throat, and your heart rate spikes further. What in the hell was he doing to say to you that he thought you should be sitting for? Was he about to ask you to come to his wedding? Tell you about his new lover? Ask you to kill him?
What heartbreak am I going to befall this time? I shouldn’t have come.
He reaches out and squeezes your arm in a comforting gesture, “Easy, darling.”
“What?”
“I can hear your heart beating a million miles a minute.”
You huff. You never could hide anything from him. He could read you like a favourite book.
“Just spill it, Astarion. Stop stalling.”
He glances away from you nervously, “Are you sure you wouldn’t like to sit?”
“No, I don’t want to sit.”
He sighs, “Okay, suit yourself.”
He runs his fingers through his hair, and you can see the unease he feels on his face. His usually confident demeanour is nowhere to be seen. He looks unsure of himself for the first time since you were walking into the Szarr Palace intending to kill his master.
He clears his throat and walks towards you. His gaze meets yours with an intensity that makes you gasp.
“I’ve been looking for you for a while. You’re incredibly hard to track down.”
You interrupt him, “How long?”
“Over a year.”
You would have been looking for him at the same time he was looking for you at one point.
He takes a small step toward you, “I came here to tell you… I… I want to be with you, but I didn’t realize you had moved on with…” he cringes, “Gale.”
A sad, fake smile spreads across his face, “Perhaps I shouldn’t be surprised. He always did have feelings for you, and he can give you all the things I can’t, all the things you deserve.”
You walk over to the chair, plunge yourself down into it, and start to laugh hysterically.
Astarion doesn’t look amused, but he sits on the side of the bed opposite you, looking at you like you might be cursed.
“I’m sorry,” you manage to squeeze out between giggles, “I’m not laughing at you. I’m laughing at your assumptions.”
“Care to elaborate, darling?”
“Gale and I are not together, Astarion.”
His eyebrow cocks, “But you’re living with him?”
“I had nowhere else to go when you left… I couldn’t stay in our little house. You were everywhere and nowhere, and it hurt.”
Those vibrant scarlet irises glance away from you momentarily.
He meets your eyes again, “So you’re not together?”
You shake your head, stifling another giggle, “Absolutely not.”
With a wide, relieved grin, he says, “This conversation has just become much more pleasant.”
If only it were that simple.
“I don’t know if I can be with you again, Astarion.”
No matter how much I want to.
You suddenly feel uncomfortably hot and rise from the chair, shrugging off the blanket.
“What do you mean you want to be with me?”
“I want you, all of you. Without you, life is hardly worth living. The last years taught me that.”
You’re pacing around the small room now. Astarion’s eyes follow your movement keenly.
“And you thought you could just show up, and I’d what? Welcome you back with open arms?”
A chuckle rumbles deep in his chest, “A man can hope, but no.” his eyes meet yours with a humility you haven’t seen before, “I expected you to tell me to leave, or quite possibly burn me to ash, but here you are.”  he pauses, “I’m sorry I left.”
You stop rapidly pacing the room and meet his eyes sadly, “I’m sorry you felt like you had to leave instead of just talking to me.”
He huffs, “Oh, come off. You were amazing.”
Tears brim in your eyes, “Then why did you leave me, Astarion?”
“I…,” he steps so close that he’s almost touching you and wipes the tears escaping your eyes with his thumb, “I was afraid.”
“Afraid of what? Me?”
“Gods, no.” he hisses, “You’re the only person I’ve ever truly cared for. Have you truly spent the last couple of years thinking I left because of you?”
“What else was I supposed to think?”
His face softens, “Oh, my love. I’m so sorry.”
Astarion wraps his arms around you in a tight hug. It takes you a minute, but you finally allow yourself to melt into him, pressing yourself hard against him. Your shoulders slump and shake with sobs.
When he finally releases you, you look up at him and are surprised to see tears running down his pale cheeks.
Instinctively, you reach up and wipe them away with the back of your hand, “Don’t cry, Astarion.”
He chuckles at you, amused, as he uses his thumb to wipe your tears away.
“Don’t cry, my love,” he whispers.
One of your hands still grasps a handful of his shirt. You’re scared that if you release him, he will disappear, and this will all be a dream.
“I was afraid.”
His words echo in the expanse of your mind.
“Why were you afraid?”
He brushes the hair out of your face tenderly and cradles your face with his palm. You press your face harder into his cool touch, your lips grazing his smooth skin.
He is home.
“I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to give you the life you deserve,” his voice lowers to a whisper, “the love you deserve.”
You scoff at him, “A life with you is all I wanted, Astarion.”
Astarion tilts your head so that your eyes meet his searching crimson gaze. His face is relaxed, and you see no signs of that mask he sometimes wore.
“Do you still want it? Me?”
His lips ghost over yours, making your eyes flutter closed.
“I could never stop loving you.”
He clicks his tongue, “That’s not an answer.”
“I’m afraid, Astarion.”
“Of what?”
“I’m afraid you will leave again when things get hard or uncomfortable. I won’t survive losing you twice.” you stare back at him with suffocating trepidation, “Perhaps we can be friends… for now.”
You can almost taste the sorrow infecting his red eyes, but he smiles anyway, “Friends. Yes… yes, I can do that.”
Could you possibly write more soft Gale fics? He just deserves so much love and healing. I really liked how you wrote Reverence. Sorry I don’t have a more specific ask, I’m not very good when it comes to fic ideas.
Absolutely I can, I love writing for Gale so much, and he really does deserve the world. Thank you for the request and I hope you enjoy!
Gale seems to share the same issue.
While you might not be able to completely solve your problems, at least the two of you aren't alone in them anymore.
For whatever reason, you find yourself awake far later than everyone else. This shouldn’t be too much of a problem, if it wasn’t for the fact that this was the second night in a row where sleep eluded you to the point of exhaustion. The little amount of sleep you did manage to get was plagued with uncomfortable dreams that teetered on the edge of nightmares, making sure the rest was fitful. You knew you had to sleep; you couldn’t hope to lead the group if you were barely able to stand tomorrow. It’s frustrating. It isn’t like you aren’t trying to sleep either; you laid there for hours before finally giving up and leaving your tent to tend to the fire that has steadily burnt down to the last embers. It’s here where Gale finds you.
The look on your face only adds to his concern at seeing you up so late. You don’t notice his approach, another thing that makes Gale think something must be wrong.
“Is everything alright?” He asks softly, though the sudden noise still startles you. He watches you turn and immediately relax when you realise it’s only him.
“Yeah, I’m fine. Sorry,” you apologise, but you aren’t exactly sure what you're apologising for. Perhaps it's for letting all of them down with your inability to sleep, knowing you’ll hold them back tomorrow. Then you notice that Gale looks just as tired.
“Is there anything I can do?” He asks.
You’re sure your exhaustion is evident enough, you can feel the weight under your eyes. A part of you hates feeling like you need to be taken care of. You don’t want to acknowledge that help would be both welcome and useful, but you know these feelings are simply a byproduct of the exhaustion that weighs on your shoulders. You can’t fault Gale for wanting to help.
“No, it’s alright. You need your own rest.” The day had been tough on all of you. Gale, though talented when it came to magic, was pushed to his own limits today.
“Very well. Would you at least allow me to sit with you for a few moments then?” Gale asks.
You only nod, and Gale sits beside you on the ground. You’ve managed to get the fire going a little stronger again, and the warmth is appreciated by both of you. You’re suddenly aware of just how close you are, knees almost touching. You blame the warmth in your cheeks on the fire.
“If there is something bothering you, I am more than happy to listen.” There is genuine care in his words. He is worried about you. As much as you don’t want to burden your companions with your troubles, he seems adamant that he wants to hear them.
“I can’t sleep is all,” you admit. “It’s nothing serious. Just can’t sleep, and then when I do my dreams end up waking me up again.” It feels childish to say that your dreams are the primary culprit of your lack of sleep. You’ve been through so much in the past weeks, but it’s nightmares of all things that finally get to you.
But Gale doesn’t laugh. He doesn’t tease you. Instead, he looks at you with only sympathy and understanding. He doesn’t pry any further, and you’re thankful.
“What about you? Why are you still up? If you want to share, of course,” you’re quick to add. You don’t want him to feel like he has to tell you his own troubles just because you told him yours.
“We have similar problems it seems,” is all Gale answers. You return his earlier kindness by not pressing him to elaborate either.
The two of you sit there in comfortable silence again.
“I understand if you wish to remain alone, but if you ever wish for company when you cannot sleep, you are always most welcome to visit me.” He says it so quietly, hesitantly, but not unsure. Knowing you don’t need to spend the nights awake alone, at least, is a comfort, and the thought of spending the time talking with Gale is pleasant; even if that time is simply spent sitting near to one another.
You smile. “I might take you up on that offer.”
Gale gives you a fond look. The golden light of the fire makes him look soft and at ease, though, maybe that’s only because he’s with you.
“I think I’ll try to sleep again. Thank you for this, Gale.” You stand, and he does the same.
“Anytime.”
Sleep still doesn’t come easy when you return to your tent, but eventually you’re able to get, at least, a little bit of dreamless sleep before you’re awoken again. The gaps between sleep and consciousness are still more frequent than you want, but it’s better than nothing.
---
The next day is rough. Gale doesn’t look like he had much luck with sleep either, and you’re almost thankful because he is more inclined to ask the group to slow down than you are. Maybe the others can tell that you’re also struggling, because no one complains when the steady pace is interrupted.
Perhaps some god out there is looking out for you, because the day’s travel is mercifully uneventful.
Setting up camp again is a chore. You do your best to help where you can, but you can barely stand as it is.
“Get some rest, soldier. We’ve got it from here,” Karlach says to you, voice quiet. You know she’s trying to be nice, but it feels like pity and you hate it. You swallow your pride and thank her before returning to your tent.
Even though your body aches and your head is starting to hurt, when you lay down, you only end up staring at the roof of the tent. You suddenly just aren’t tired. You know you’re tired, because your body feels tired, but at the same time you aren’t , and it’s only partly caused by fear of the dreams you know await you. It’s frustrating to no end.
After another few minutes of laying there with your eyes closed, you finally give in.
Only a few of the others are still awake, sitting and talking with each other around the fire. They don’t notice you skirting around the edge of camp towards Gale’s tent. It’s not that you feel like you need to keep this a secret, you just don’t think you have the energy to talk to anyone besides the wizard right now.
“Gale? Can I come in?” You ask softly outside the tent. You know he’s awake; you can see shadows that dance across the walls.
“Of course,” Gale answers. Before you can move to open the tent flap, he waves a hand and it opens for you.
“What a gentleman,” you tease, but even you can hear how tired you sound.
“Always for you,” he returns with a smile, but there’s a truth in his words that brings a warmth to your face.
You finally notice how cosy his tent is. There are several books, all of them stacked in piles that must be organised in a way you can’t discern. The ground is covered in plush blankets and pillows. Fluttering around the top of the tent are small, almost iridescent orbs of light, some purple and others blue. They give enough light for Gale to read, but keep the tent dim enough to be pleasant.
“Please, sit down, make yourself comfortable.”
You sit beside him; closer than you were last night, leaning against his side slightly. You peer over at the book in his hands, surprised to find it isn’t some arcane tome. As far as you can tell, it’s just a normal adventure novel.
“Don’t let me interrupt you, you can keep reading.” Even just sitting here beside him is enough of a comfort; the tension already starting to seep out of your shoulders. You don’t want to talk about anything yet, and you figure that Gale shares the same sentiment.
“Do you want me to read to you?” Gale asks, and though you almost think he’s joking, you realise he really means it.
“That would be nice.”
And it is. You’ve always enjoyed listening to him talk; Gale has a lovely voice. He picks up where he left off when you got there. He wasn’t too far into the book yet, but he still pauses occasionally to explain something. Eventually you close your eyes, focused only on his voice, the details of his words getting blurry.
“Can we lay down?” You mumble tiredly.
“That’s a good idea,” Gale says with a smile, having already noticed the way your head has begun to dip forward as sleep begins to pull at you.
It takes a bit of coordination, but eventually you’re both underneath the thick blanket that Gale pulls tighter around the two of you. You move closer to him, your head underneath his chin, and he wraps an arm around you. He’s warm, and you feel safer than you have in weeks. He starts reading again, fingers playing idly with your hair. Within another minute, your breathing has evened out and you’re fast asleep.
Gale folds the corner of the page to mark where you two left off and closes the book before he sets it aside with the countless others. Eventually, he manages to fall asleep too.
Both of you still wake up a few times in the middle of the night. You didn’t expect this to be some miracle cure for your sleep problems, but having Gale there holding you when you wake up makes getting back to sleep a little easier. The same can be said for Gale who wakes up several times, only to be calmed down once he feels your arms around him. The two of you are able to get a good rest, and when you wake up in the morning you don’t feel the same ache in your bones as you did the past few mornings.
It becomes a sort of routine between you. In the evenings, after everyone leaves for their tents, you follow Gale to his or he follows you to yours. Then he reads to you, and sometimes you read to him, and you both let sleep find you in each other's arms. The nightmares are getting more bearable, and even on the worst nights when neither of you can sleep no matter how much you try, at least you’re there together.
---
It’s been a week since you started this arrangement. The book is nearly finished. Gale had promised to let you pick out the next one.
He brushes through your hair with one hand, the book held open in the other. You listen while he starts reading the last few pages. The hero who’s story you’ve been following through the novel culminates in one final battle against evil. It’s cliché, you think to yourself, and then smile because isn’t this exactly your own life now? And what hero story is complete without a lover to kiss them at the end, which is precisely what happens. Good prevails, and the hero gets their true love.
Gale feels your smile against his neck and, for reasons he understands but doesn’t want to admit yet, feels a warmth flood his cheeks.
“The End,” he announces, snapping the book closed with a flourish, earning a laugh from you. “What did you think?”
“It was nice. It felt more like a romance novel at the end.”
Gale hums in agreement. “Yes, but I think that's what I enjoyed most.” He puts the book down then returns to hugging you close to him.
“I agree, it felt natural.” You hope Gale understands what you mean.
He does.
The two of you have been dancing around this for a while now, neither one of you ready to acknowledge it. But there’s something about tonight that feels different.
You lean back to look at Gale’s face, bringing a hand up to guide a strand of greying brown hair behind his ear. Your hand lingers on his cheek, thumb brushing gently across his skin. He puts his own hand over yours, moving it to kiss your palm. It’s a careful gesture, tender and nervous all at the same time.
When you move to kiss him, he meets you halfway. It’s a soft kiss; a testament to these nights you’ve spent together. When you part, you rest your forehead against his. The way he looks at you makes your heart swell: like you mean everything to him.
He kisses you once more before you tuck your head into the crook of his neck. He holds you like he’s scared you’ll disappear, and you tighten your arms around him as if to answer: 'I could never.'
You both sleep the best you have in weeks, still there for each other each time you wake.
Next Step With You Prologue High Rollers of affection
Tumblr media
Cover mad by @lizaluvsthis do not repost! A Reboot of the next step! Next chapter Summary: SMG4 and SMG3 relationship changed after realizing their feelings in WOTFI 2023, now together the pair can take the next step together. That is until a strange gift arrives on SMG3's birthday making him face his demons from his past.
Tags: Fluff, Boyfriends, Love Confession, Watch Wotfi 2023 before reading, first love, mention of igloo
SMG4 was giggling as he played club penguin, it was surprisingly a normal day given yesterday SMG3 snap after they failed to stop Mario from taking his notebook. Knowing Mario as long as he has there was no way he was keeping the notebook, given how peaceful it is, the notebook should be back in Three’s hand in no time.  He thought too soon as the door to his room flys open to reveal a panicked SMG3 “SMG4!! MARIO STOLE MY NOTEBOOK! I NEED YOUR HELP GETTING IT BACK!” he starts to wave a photo of the notebook at him.
He was facing Three in his computer chair, annoyed and surprised at the fact that Mario kept his notebook “Pfft It's just a notebook, get a new one.” Four wasn’t sure what the big deal was. He knew it meant a lot to the man but losing the notebook doesn't mean the world will end. Three walks in the room visibly nervous “It’s not just any notebook it's got secrets,” he drops to his knees making Four get nervous “Including…” he looks around “Secrets about you and me, and certain events in an igloo.” SMG4's face goes pale as the hidden memory unlocks. The need for food, how they both needed warmth though Three was stubborn and rather die there then cuddle him for warmth. They both thought they were going to die, with this thought in four’s mind he looks at SMG3 he did find him attractive so why the hell not. The event that follows haunts the pair as they agreed to never talk about it again. Remember everything he screams jumping out of the chair “WE GOTTA GET THAT NOTEBOOK!”
After that he runs out of the room to ask a casual question to Melony leaving Three to nervously sit in the room, seeing the man return he runs up to him grabbing his overall straps “What did you learn?” Slowly pulling away from the man he goes to sit on his computer chair “So Melony told me she noticed Mario taking something to some billionaire tycoon which has to be the notebook,” he points to a photo that Melony took of the location “and they both are inside this brand new casino. Its exact location? The CEO office.” SMG4 starts to type something on his computer, using the software Melony used to hack the cameras he connects to one in a safe showing them drilling into the notebook. He was warned that the place was tough to hack and not to stay on the cameras for long, shame they can't hack the cameras down would have made this situation easier.  Seeing the drills on his notebook Three chuckles “That’s right, that idiot Mario still needs my secret key to open it!”
Four nods wondering what the key could be as he starts to type in the program “Well..it's not just Mario that's behind this…he’s too stupid to do this on his own.” as he switches cameras Three could only watch in shock that Marty was the one truly behind everything.  Why a living cardboard meme that Mario made wants SMG3 notebook Four had no idea, given how badly  it wants in the notebook it has to be something huge. “MARTY!? THAT PIECE OF CARDBOARD CRAP IS BEHIND THIS?!?” glaring at the screen he takes out dynamite from his pocket. He throws the dynamite in the air and catches it with a smirk causing SMG4 to smile without noticing “Lets just break in and take it then!” after that he starts to run off only for Four to grab him “Slooow down cowboy.” he throws Three down getting a growl from the man.  SMG4 then points to another camera view on the screen “We can't just go in there guns blazing. This place is heavily guarded, I'm talking about state of the art security that will blow our asses up the moment we get detected.” he wanted this notebook back fast but they had to play their cards right. SMG3 slowly blinks looking at the picture on the screen “SMG4..this is just a picture of Mario.”
Four nods pointing at Three “Exactly! So we’ll need to be sneaky and cunning about this! Who knows what that stupid fat Italian has up his sleeve.” After hours planning and Three fighting about Fours idea on letting his subscribers pick how to get his notebook back it was the day of the heist. SMG3 smirks, fixing his fedora and tie “Alright looking fresh!” he winks and snaps his fingers making Fours stomach flip. Something that has been happening ever since the pair became friends, he wasn't sure why it only happens around Three after days of thinking on the subject he assumed it had to do with their link and lived on ignoring the way his heart would race when being near the man. With their spy rizz outfits on they walk to the casino, SMG4 was smiling and waving at the crowd not noticing the loving look Three was giving him. You could ask Three why he was looking at the man like that and you can bet his answer will have nothing to do with how charming he found the man's outfit to be. They walk into the casino with no issue, SMG3 smiles getting ready for the mission only to hear someone humming. Turning he sees SMG4 sneaking as he hums the theme from Mission Impossible, letting out  a sigh as he walks up to the man smacking him “Dude, stop it.” four frowns and looks down agreeing to stop.
“Hey!” the pair jumps hearing Mario’s yelling, they turn to see Mario checking everyone coming into the casino. He then pointed at his brother demanding answers, the pair watch as Mario lets Luigi in only to burn him alive for letting out a cough. They slowly turn to each other, nervous about what they just saw before Three shakes himself out of it, they had a mission no time to get cold feet.  “Alright, what the hell are we doing here?” hearing Three’s voice, Four looks at their watch to see what was voted. They both nod at the result and put on clown masks getting ready to scare the Italian man, they sneak up to him and start making loud sounds to scare him. Mario slams the table making the men nervous as he gets closer to them as he checks them both out then focuses on SMG4 “Your color schemes look awfully familiar..”
The more Mario stares at Four the more anxious Three feels, then he sees Mario start to drool and reach out to Four. He wasn't sure what was going on with Mario but he was sure it was something stupid and he had to stop him “THATS IT WERE WALKING THROUGH!” he pushes Four causing the mask to fall off. They all stay silent staring at the mask before SMG4 turns to mario “uhh i can explain..”  Mario screams, surprising the men “AHHHH A SCARY CLOWN!” SMG4 frowns seeing his best friend run from him, Three throws the mask off “Hey works for me, lets go.” he was going to walk away before four grabbed him “Am…am i really that horrific to look at?” Three felt himself blush as four looked up at him with puppy eyes. He looks away sighing “You look like how you always did, a shit head with a huge ego now can we go?” Four pouts at the comment before moving forward.
They stand in the main lobby looking around to see the cameras in the lobby. “Great…Mario must be surveilling the place intensely, we have to shut off those security cameras.” they nod as they look at the watch. Their eyes go wide seeing the vote that won “Uh heh maybe the watch counted the votes wrong,” Four smacks the watch hoping the choice will change. SMG3 sighs seeing the panic four was going through, he looks around and smirks as he walks over to a booth asking for a song change for the lobby. Four sighs finally admitting defeat then starts to think “Do a sexy dance? How do I even pull that off? Is there a meme dance that could come off as sexy?”
That's when Three grabs his arm pulling him close to his body, SMG4's face turns completely red seeing how close they are “T-Three?” the man moves Fours hand on his shoulder while holding the other one “Your dumb subscribers did the vote lets get this over with so we can get my notebook, follow my lead!” He then placed his hand on Fours lower back causing the man’s heart to start racing. SMG3 makes sure that Four was pressed against his body before moving, Four did his best to follow the steps that the other man was doing.Then tango music started to play making Fours eyes go wide “How is the tango a sexy dance?” SMG3 kept moving to the music then smirks “That idiot seems to get off with us being gay, so if he catches us this close dancing he will freak and knowing that idiot he will end up breaking something!” Four nods understanding where his partner was coming from. As they dance, Three picks up speed as Four attempts to keep focus on his steps, his mind starting to fill with strange thoughts. As he dances his eyes slowly drop to SMG3 lips those thoughts start to play louder in his head, he wants to kiss the man right there and the thought causes him to miss a step.
Mario catches the dance on the camera and zooms in his eyes pops out as he sees the pair, he knows he should have hit the alarm but the close dance made him want to cheer the two in hopes they finally get together. Seeing Four missing the step Three takes the chance to do a final hit on Mario, dipping SMG4 he leans in close, pressing his forehead against the other man making it look like they kissed on the cameras. Four held his breath at how close they were, while Three was looking into Four’s eyes. A strange feeling hit them both, they were on a mission they had to get the notebook and yet Four couldn't help slowly moving his hand to the back of Three’s head. It was the perfect moment to kiss each other, something they both wanted at the moment, only to be broken out of the spell hearing Mario scream in excitement and blowing up all the cameras. SMG3 lifted up Four and smiled seeing that the mission was a success “Great! Let's go!” SMG4 watches Three walks ahead acting as nothing has happened, was he the only one that felt that spark. He follows Three, his thoughts filled with what happened. He takes out his phone and starts to search his feelings. Distracted Four agreed to a plan that Three made without knowing what it was about, his eyes widened as he read what the results showed “A deep romantic connection..me and Three?” he looks up to realize he missed what he had to do and Three was now being taken by Swag and Chris. Four panicked and was going to save Three only to feel something heavy hit him, knocking him out cold.
He opens his eyes and look around the room confused only to see Mario pop up in front of him “Hello mother fucker!” seeing the plumber he starts to scream which woke up Three making him also scream. He turns to see Three was tied down, panic starts to build up inside of him thinking of what they could do to the man. Mario chuckles as he approaches Three “Mario?? LET US GO DUDE!” He was hoping that his call out would bring the man back to him.  Sadly the man he is growing a romantic attraction to was SMG3 “AND GIVE ME MY NOTEBOOK BACK YOU ASS!” Mario smirks at the tied up Three making Four wiggle against his restraints. “I’ve been waiting for this! We finally got them, didn't we Marty?” Marty sighs and agrees with Mario, he was annoyed that the plumber let them get away once and was lucky the spies got distracted. Mario turns his attention back to Three “Just give us the key to your notebook SMG3! We’ve tried everything but it wont open yet!” This was all Four's fault for searching on his phone, the guilt was eating him as he watched the scene play out in front of him. Three gives Four a soft look before gaining back his snarky personality “NEVER! I’ll never tell!”
Mario lets out a chilling laugh that caught both men's attention, he takes his phone out smirking, he hits play and starts showing cringe memes to Three. Their avatar knows them too well and had the perfect videos to make Three cringe, the more videos played the more he saw the man break to the point he started shedding tears “NOOO! HE CANT TAKE IT! LET HIM BE!”  Mario grins as he pulls up one last video the moment SMG3 sees it he screams. Four’s eyes flicker yellow as he looks around the room “Come on four think of something worse than what SMG3 is dealing with right now!” he focuses on all the cringe he has seen on the internet till he shrivels up from it. Now free from the rope he runs towards Mario he can hear Three about to break “Hey ass!” catching Mario’s attention he throws Eggdog out, the pup attacks the plumber while he runs to untie Three. The moment he unties Three he starts to shout “IM FREE! IM FREE!” rolling his eyes he grabs the man pulling him off the table to run out of the room with Eggdog following.
As they leave room Three turns shaking Four “WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO YOU!?” Four frowns looking down, he starts to play with the button of his vest. “I was feeling strange so…i wanted to look up what was going on because it was distracting.” SMG3 lets four go and sighs giving him a quick look up and down before nodding “you seem fine now, just we are a team talk to me.” He didn't know what to do, Three was rarely this soft and now knowing the strange emotion he has been ignoring is he could feel his heart racing. Taking a deep breath he grabs Three's hand “If my viewers make the choices that land us in green, I have something I need to tell you.” They looked in each other's eyes, seeing how serious four looked the man nodded before they moved forward.
The pair were losing it after being chased by Mario and ending up in a game show forcing them to watch what happened to them in the igloo. After that the pair found Depresso and used him as a distraction to get ready to fight the plumber in which Three was surprised to see Four was good at fighting the avatar out without breaking a sweat. Now they opened the door and were standing across the safe with their prize. Three was going to walk only to be stopped by Four, he then pulls out baby powder and blows it revealing lasers in the room. “Yep, just as I expected! These lasers will probably explode if we touch them.” SMG3 looked at the bottle then back at Four “Why do you have baby powder?” SMG4 sighs “I have a sensitive ass!” with awkward nods they both turn to focus on the lasers.  SMG4, seeing the results, smirks “Watch this!” SMG3 watched in awe as he watched the meme guardian front flip, avoiding all the lasers and making it to the other side. He hits the button and winks at his crush making Threes face red “What are you waiting for we got a notebook to save!”
That moment SMG3 wished he had his notebook to doodle the moment he saw, though he was sure those flips and wink will haunt his mind all day. They cheer getting into the safe only to be stopped by Marty and Mario, together with their meme power they manage to put a stop to the pair and grab the notebook. After more attempts by Marty and Mario to stop them, the pair escape and win the day with their watches landing on green. Four smiles seeing how happy Three was, then he looks at the watch nervously knowing what he has to do soon. Hours later they announced to the subscribers that thanks to them they saved the notebook, Three was so happy to get it back he started to smooch the book making Four giggle. After teasing SMG3 about why he was building a new evil lair right next to his castle he lets out a small yawn, who knew doing a heist could take so much out of you.  “Speaking of cafes…I’m dead tired.” he gives his partner a small smile “Lets have some coffee.”  For the first time since they have known each other things felt peaceful, maybe it was them both being drained from the heist or maybe this whole event brought them closer together. He remembers back a few weeks ago how SMG1 and two told them they had to get along in order for their powers to get stronger, all that event did was give him work to tell the world how they two weren't together due them being caught holding hands thanks to Marios gum.
SMG3 perks up hearing his words “Now we’re talkin!” walking together they sit on a pile of wood  waiting to become a part of SMG3 cafe, SMG4 smiles looking at the sunset as SMG3 starts doing their coffee. They smile at each other doing a small cheer as they clink their
cups together and drink, as SMG4 enjoys the warmth of the coffee he notices SMG3 writing in his notebook with a huge smile "What are you writing?" he knew he wasn't going to get an answer but it wasn't going to hurt him to ask you never know what mood SMG3 is in.
He smirks and turns away "I'll never tell!" SMG3 makes sure the other cant see the drawing he is doing of them both with cups of coffee.
With a giggle he nods "Don't worry i wont push it," as he looks back at the sunset his heart starts to beat faster. This would be the perfect moment wouldn't it? He had to admit the closer they got the harder it was for him to keep his feelings in check. When he hears the notebook close he decides now is the time with one last gulp of the coffee he turns to SMG3 "You know...this heist got me thinking,”
SMG3 sips his coffee and stares at his partner "What that we should be full time spies, cause i'm not a fan of the idea of your fans telling me how to live my life," SMG4 shakes his head with a small chuckle "No, nothing like that...just we make a good team don't we?"
He keeps staring at SMG4 feeling confused on what was going on with the man next to him, seeing this SMG4 sighs feeling himself blush. "You know...people ship us together...and uh with all that's happened to us i started to wonder...." he had no idea what he was doing. Every TV show he has seen made confessions look easy, even Axol made it look sweet and easy with the manga he was making before everything.
SMG3's eyes go wide as he also starts to blush "Why are you bringing this up all of a sudden, idiot!!"
SMG4 closes his eyes "WHAT IF WE MAKE IT CANON!?"
Everything was dead silent, he was nervous to open his eyes to see how SMG3 was looking at him. Finally he hears a whisper "you....what?" Slowly he opened his eyes to see a stun SMG3, his face was as red as his eyes, it almost made SMG4 giggle for how cute it was to see him like that. "I..well i like you i figured it out today when we were on the heist, so i was wondering if maybe we can try...the next step?"
SMG4 started to get worried he broke the man for how long it took for him to move again, he watches as SMG3 stares at the floor then his notebook. His heart sank, did the guardian not feel the same as him?
SMG3 gets up and stands in front of him "Fine, i guess i...i like you too! But don't let it get to your head...Baka!"
SMG4 lights up, standing up and hugging him, ignoring the heat on his face, Three hugged his boyfriend back. They separated and gave each other a small smile before Four spoke up “Need a place to crash till the cafe is done..you can stay with me till then.” SMG3 looks at the castle then his hand thinking about the graveyard, staying here they both could figure out this new step easier then him in another location “Yeah that could work..but can we keep this thing with us on the down low not sure i'm ready for the idiots to learn about us.” with a nod they both slowly reach for each other's hand and let out nervous giggles. Now holding hands the pair walk into the castle to move SMG3 in,Little did they know a shadow was watching them from a distance growling at what they just saw.
He LOVES playing games with you.
Peter was often bored, being locked in his mother’s basement led to doing the same things over and over again. This is why he loved playing games with you, no matter if they were board games or card ones, he was utterly fond of the idea of games ending in many different ways and sometimes taking different turns, never knowing if a game could last minutes or hours. He would throw game nights with candies and junk food. He really liked playing Cluedo, especially roleplaying the whole thing, he would get SO into the character, many times taking it personally when he was accused of being the murderer, always doing accents and creating a whole backstory (even if not needed). He believed it was “funnier” this way…but really, he was just a dork by nature. He enjoyed Monopoly too, although getting into the character in this game would often lead to him getting SO mad when things started to go bad for him. He claimed he was “the best gamer of all times” but in reality was actually pretty bad, especially with strategy games since he tended to act impulsively without logic. Many times you had to let him win to avoid cocky tantrums and just getting his ego hurt.
He is constantly spoiling you with gifts.
His main goal in life was owning the "Twinkie" company being the best boyfriend you could ever ask for. So whatever you desired, he gave you.
“Look how cute this is Pet-” You started while pointing at the picture of what you wanted, and before you knew it, Peter left your room at the highest of speeds just to come back in the blink of an eye with the thing you were just talking about in his hands.
“Gotcha.” He winked with a cute smirk.
“Peter! You didn’t have to. You probably spent so much for this…” You said, feeling guilty.
“Who said I paid for it?”
He takes you anywhere you want.
You mentioned wanting to go to the beach? He took you there in no time, not even letting you put your swimsuit on.
You dreamed of going to Paris? Sweep. Two seconds and you were taking a picture under the Tour Eiffel while he was holding a baguette and had a fake mustache on.
In the little time you started dating him, you already visited more places than you did in your entire life, and your bedroom was full of polaroids of you two around the world. This counts for concerts and other things too. He’s basically a free VIP pass.
He always matches your mood.
If you wanted to go to the cinema and watch a movie, he would sneak you two in the theater, stealing popcorn and all types of soda.
If you wanted to party hard and just forget about everything for a night, he would throw the BIGGEST party in the x-men’s mansion, just for you.
If you wanted to stay home and relax, he would grab a comfy blanket and a few snacks, cuddling up against you. Either spooning you or being spooned.
He hypes you up no matter what, he’s your biggest fan.
You were out shopping with Peter, so you took the chance to try some dresses on. You were in the changing room, looking at your body in the mirror. Many thoughts were flowing in your head, you didn’t know if you liked or hated it. Peter slightly peeked from the curtain.
“Babe are ya don- HOLY SHIT!” His eyes widened at the sight of you.
“Do you like it?” You asked while still looking in the mirror.
“Like it? Ya asking me if I- if I like it?! Are ya out of yer mind?! I dont like it! I love it!” He opened wide the whole curtain.
“Mh…I don’t know if this really fits m-” You were cut off by Peter suddenly grabbing your shoulders.
“Fits you?! FITS YA?! Babe.Ya need to get this right now. It was made for you- Holy shit! It looks like it was tailored to you!” He grinned widely.
“i don’t kno-Peter!” You exclaimed as he picked you up in his arms.
“YER STUNNING. Gorgeous! Breathtaking! Damn! Yer really my girl? I’m the luckiest bastard in the world!” He carried you in his arms out of the changing room.
“SHE’S MY GIRLFRIEND! HEY YOU! YES! SHE’S MY GIRLFRIEND! I’M THE LUCKIEST BASTARD IN THE WORLD! WHOOOOO!” He shouted excitedly to the whole store while you covered your burning cheeks and begged him to stop.
He likes watching you put on your makeup, occasionally attempting to put it on you, too.
His tongue poked out of his mouth as he tried to blend the foundation on your skin.
“Why’s this taking so long?!” He huffed.
“Peter, that’s an eyeshadow brush.”
“Oh.”
ᯓ★⋆˚𝙽𝚂𝙵𝚆⋆。˚ ⁀➷
He’s horny 24/7.
Because of his speedster genes everything his body did was faster than normal. It was sooo easy to get him hard. You could’ve been either provoking him or doing nothing.
You were laying on the bed, your boyfriend spooning you from behind. You pressed your back against him, earning a groan from him. Thinking you accidentally hurt him, you turned to face him, just to find a visible grown bulge in his pants.
“I barely touched you…” You teased.
“S’the speedster genes…” He whined.
He’s such a switch.
You were sitting between his legs, your back pressed against his chest. His fingers slipping in and out of your entrance with unholy sounds.
“Mh…Just like that, babe…takin’ it so well…” He purred in your ear, causing loud moans to slip out of you. He kept speeding his fingers more and more, bringing you closer and closer to the edge. Not wanting to finish alone, you suddenly changed positions, straddling him and stroking his length from his pants.
“A-ah…please babe…” He was already a subby mess under you, whining and begging you for more.
He’s open to all types of sex with you.
Fast? His name is quickie for a reason, his body will be blurred by how fast he will be.
Slow? Mhh…It will be torture for him but, sure, anything to pleasure you.
Loving? He could be hugging you from behind, gently thrusting in you and whispering sweet words and moans in your ear.
Rough? Absolutely. He’ll have you screaming his name as loud as possible. Oh, and prepare for a loooong night, the speedster genes help a lot with his sex drive.
No toys!
One thing he will never accept is you using sex toys. Why on earth would you use a miserable piece of plastic to please yourself when you have him?
He can be a vibrator, a dildo…everything! And a good one too. Whenever you need to feel good, just give him a call! He will drop everything just to have fun with you. Don’t tell Professor X that.
Quickies in public are more common than you think.
With him being always horny, he often found himself staring at you for longer than usual, which sent heat waves straight to his core, even in public.
“Babe…” He started with whispering your name in your ear, his body pressing against yours from behind.
“I need you…” He whined, subtly rubbing his hard-on against your ass. You questioned him, reminding him that you were in public.
He quickly brought you inside a public bathroom. His hands desperately grabbing your body.
“Please…I’ll be quick…” He groaned against your neck, sucking the skin gently. As soon as you agreed, you found yourself pressed up against a wall and his clothes immediately coming off.
Cozy.
It's one word to describe the evening.
There's a pleasure in sinking from the puffiness of your couch. The string that pulled relentlessly on your back all day loosens; popping joints can be heard in the quiet room.
Toes freezing and eyelids drooping, you mindlessly scroll through your phone. Wednesday sits rigidly at the other end of the sofa, your body taking up most of the space. Her presence, though ghostly silent, soothes you in a way warm baths would never dream of rivaling.
It was one of those nights; when content soaks your body in a lavender haze, not a care for the buzzing world.
You spare a glance at the girl, catching her with a look you've grown to memorize over the years.
It was the one she had the first time you confessed to her, your second year at Nevermore Academy. The one she had when you kissed her knuckles tenderly while a slow melody sways both your bodies at the Rave'N Dance. It was the gaze she held when you were both leaning on her balcony railing; the sky was a sea of stars, but she was looking at you.
It was the smile she had when you took her out for dinner, and the bouquet of flowers you gave her earlier for graduation sits on the restaurant's table. It was also the face she made when you lay on your shared apartment floor for the first time, her figure somewhat leaning on the door frame, unpacked boxes still scattered across the space.
And she's looking at you exactly like that right now; through all those years together, yet her soft eyes haven't dared to change. It's a hushed secret between two perfect halves, an eternal promise sealed with a courteous nod or a searing kiss.
She's what fills you to the brim with bliss, your arms now stretching out, beckoning her to meet your body in a tight embrace.
Wednesday moves and lays her weight on top of you, her warm hands resting on your sides. Her scent invades you, and if you close your eyes, you can make out the image of a wet forest—vividian pictures painted with amber, myrrh, and wormwood.
Her face came close to yours, soft breaths fanning down your neck. There's a beat where she lingers, eyes dazed—before she finally leans down and lets her lips press a delicate kiss against your jaw.
"I love you," Wednesday breathes out as she pulls back, admiring her reflection in your glowing eyes. She rests her head on your chest—the slow rhythmic drums calming her own fluttering one—feeling your hand tracing the nooks of her loose braid. You giggle as you wrap your arms around her petite figure, head moving to whisper in her ear.
"I love you, too." Your fingers brush her bangs, parting them slightly, mouth leaving a chaste kiss on the exposed skin.
Leaving a sigh into the room, you look up at the ceiling while your hands pat her head gently. The coziness sang you a lullaby, and your eyelids slowly drooped, taking the devoted lovers to a land of saccharine dreams.
