Making another push because the #fleurdelouve and #sarahbucky tags are dead, and #sarah+wilson tag has sambucky and stucky mess clogging it
If you create or know of any SarahBucky and/or Sarah Wilson content and creations, send them to us! This blog posts, reblogs, and celebrates everything both for Sarah and that wonderful canon ship from TFATWS!

5am rant
except as always, it’s not 5am
disclaimer: i wanna preface this by saying; if you misinterpret ANYTHING i say, that’s on you. i was very clear and concise in what i wrote, so you can take what i say however you want, i really don’t care. these are MY feelings based on what I see !
now; back to our regularly scheduled programming.
when it comes to interracial ships, a lot of you treat the black character as secondary to the white character. it’s not everyone and it’s not every fic, but it is noticeable. now of course i can’t tell you which character to like more, that’d be weird. i’m simply saying that when you write these characters as a couple, it’s very clear who you favor.
to me, it’s most noticeable with dovesso (and other ships!) but right now dovesso is the ship im using as an example because they’re one of my most prominent ships rn !
with dovesso, one thing i noticed that lesso will be written with an entire backstory and everything, yet dovey sometimes gets nothing. she’s always just used as a means to ‘fix’ lesso which is weird in and of itself. i mean how are you guys so in love with a ship but you won’t even take the time to give half of said ship a back story…? it’s just weird to me. and if it were in one shots, then yea i could excuse it because it’s a one shot, but i’m talking about full fledged stories, multi chapter and all.
y’all treat clarissa as a secondary character in her own ship and i want something to be known right now: i’ve never read the books and i never will (sophie annoyed me too much) but those still aren’t an excuse! they don’t even pose a valid argument because when you guys write dovesso, you’re writing movie dovesso and it’s clear in the character descriptions.
part of the reason my dovesso social media au is centered around clarissa is because i know your fics aren’t... you guys simply use her as a means to an end and i don’t like that, i especially don’t like it as a black reader reading about a black character. (even if clarissa wasn’t black, i’d still think this was weird, but she is so…)
i’m not telling you how well you can or can’t connect with a character because the same way a lot of you connect more with lesso, i connect more with clarissa, but even if (and when) i write about them, im going to write them as equals. because i’ve witnessed your reader inserts have more of a backstory than clarissa…
TLDR: you guys treat dovey as secondary in her own ship and i think it’s weird as fuck. your reader inserts get written better than her which irks me. what’s the point of writing a SHIP if you’re just going to clearly favor HALF of it ? how about you just don’t write her at all ?
this has been in my mind for a while and debated on saying something, but it’s how i feel and its my truth so i said what i said. there’s nothing anyone can say to change

Fandoms will ship two het men who simply breathe next to each other but god forbid a Black woman has a relationship with or even just chemistry with the popular male lead. And this happens in EVERY fandom (see tags for examples) with a prominent Black female character. They were even vehemently against Miles Morales and the Black spider girl (Margo).
It’s just very telling that certain people are suddenly “platonic love/besties/sibling energy only otherwise the show is ruined!!” when the fem character is Black.
It’s ok to not ship characters, but the overwhelming backlash to these specific ones has been so ridiculous and very obviously racially motivated. There are articles now discussing whether harmless shipping of two fictional adult characters is acceptable, and on the cover of them is typically an interracial pairing involving a Black woman…

The story of Anne Bonnie the Pirate Queen and Calico Jack/Black Beard the Pirate King…
✨🤩💗🤭💋✨but make it ATTOYEEEEE✨😍🫵🏽💋💞
So basically, the story is a young woman, Okoye, is raised by her father after her mother dies, and he tries to get her married off because she’s become out of control and wild… but instead she decides to marry a penniless sailor named W’kabi… 🤨🙄
She and w’copy set off to start a life together, and Wjabis main line of work is snitching to government officials about where pirates are…
So he basically leaves Okoye at home all day, to entertain herself while he’s off snitching. Well, one day while Okoye is serving ale in a bar… a gang of pirates walk in and claim the bar as a hang out for themselves! She loves how charismatic and rowdy the Pirates are, and they love how beautiful she is!
They invite her to meet their captain. His mates (Namora, M’Baku, and maybe Aneka joins her) say he is the Slayer of Sirens, the Rider of Great Whites, he is…
Captain Attuma the Pirate King
They immediately fall in love, and Attuma is gracious enough to offer her husband, a large payment amount for him to divorce her and let them get married. W’kabi refuses but they run away together anyway 🤣🤣 (ignoring the actual history) they are pirate king n queen and live happily ever after PERIODT.
