#it also felt especially nice to hear it from Sam
Text
The livestream last night was fantastic for many reasons, but another great thing about the stream: it felt really nice to openly hear Sam and Taliesin describe FCG and Ashton as nonbinary. Like obviously we’ve had their he/they pronouns since day one, but it means so much to hear the two of them use the word Nonbinary, y’know?

Summary: anon request - "can you do one where y/n likes Colby and he likes her but they don't really do anything about it but flirt until they're at the spot and a ghost/demon thing (you can completely make up the scenario), torments and targets y/n to the point she's crying and runs out with Colby chasing after her? Pleaseeeee"
Warning: This one shot will start out kinda funny and flirty between reader and Colby, but it will get dark and contain the reader being targeted by the spirits and some actions include; being touched, pushed, choked, scratched, spoken to, and other things some readers might find a bit creepy. There will also be mentions of murder at the place of exploration and other bad things some readers may be triggered by.
Read with care my lovelies!

Disclaimer: I completely made this story up!
"We're going to explore the Hellriegel Manor in a few days.. you in?" Colby says on the other end of the phone. You smile to yourself and sigh, "I suppose I can make time in my very busy schedule for you."
You are always up for doing a video with them, even hanging out with them off camera. You've known them for a while, so sleeping over at their place or in the same tent while in the middle of some haunted woods wasn't that big of a deal, or so you thought.
"You better, y/l/n. We need you on this one." Colby chuckles to myself, "Plus, we kinda miss you out here."
You liked Colby, a lot actually. Sam is always teasing you guys, mainly because he knows he likes you too, but you both always shoot it down for stupid reasons.
You thought that maybe it would be best if you just kept him as a close friend, but the light flirting and how comfortable you are with each other makes it incredibly hard, not to mention, you and Colby are always thinking about each other though, especially when you crash at their place, and when you're asleep in a tent within in an arms reach away from each other.
You laugh as you hear Sam in the background yelling, "Don't let him lie to you y/n. He's been crying like a baby every night since you've been gone."
Point proven.
"Shut up, dude, my god. She can hear you." Coby says with a groan and you can tell that he's getting shy, "Fuck." You picture his big smile as you grab your laptop, listening to them bicker back and forth like usual.
You had to admit, you missed them, too. Even though you're visiting your family on the east coast, you honestly felt homesick.
"I'll see you guys tomorrow." You bite your lip, waiting for a response but it's quiet, "Um, hello?"
You hear muffled yelling, and you already know that it's Colby trying to get Sam to keep his mouth shut, "That's great, y/n! See you tomorrow!" Colby yells over Sam trying to yell out.
"Stop it. Please." You can hear Colby laugh, and Sam yells, still slightly muffled, "Bye!"
You hang up and shake your head laughing as you click open a new tab and type in the place Colby said you're going.
"Hellriegel Manor." You repeat to out loud after reading one do the old newspaper headlines. You scroll down as your eyes scan over the screen,
Multiple prostitutes brutally murdered in Hellriegel Manor
Callum Hellriegel is the devil himself
The ruthless murder of Hellriegel Manor revealed
Callum Hellriegel, killer found dead by self inflicted gunshot wound to head
The town thinks workers at the manor were involved
You blink a few times, shaking your head as you let out a sigh. You reach for your phone and FaceTime Colby.
He picks up fast, "Hey."
"So a possible demon. That's nice." You look into the camera and tilt your head. He takes a deep breath and lets out a long sigh, "I was trying to wait until you got here to tell you, but I guess cats out of the bag."
You nod, "Yeah, yeah." You laugh slightly and squint, "Oh no." Colby looks behind him then back to you, "What?"
"It's quiet... did you finally kill Sam?" You smile slowly and he laughs, "No, no. He's upstairs editing."
"So I called at the right time then, huh?" You tease and he nods with a smile, "Yeah, yeah, you did."
You move back onto your bed, continuing to look up the manor, "Colby."
"Yes?" He asks staring at you through his phone, but he looks away when you look, "This place looks fucking creepy, and it sounds even worse."
You know what he's about right say next, so you cut him off by speaking, "I'm still going." You bite your lip as you read, "I think with having a girl there, it might help us figure out what really happened."
He nods, "I was taking to Sam about that, too, actually. It also might be the worse because of how bad that Callum dude is made out to be."
"Yeah, but.." You nod slowly as you read more, and your eyes widen, "Colby."
"Y/n."
"Do you know what Hellriegel means?" Your eyes move over to your phone that's propped up against your computer screen and he shakes his head, "Probably something not good."
"It means the Devil, in German." You swallow slowly, "Fuck I have the chills now."
"Again.. if you do-"
"I'm going." You smirk, "My flight is already booked and.." just as you were about to say something really sweet, you hear Colby groan and Sam appears on the screen, "Ayo!"
You laugh and wave, "Hi again Sam."
"She's looking up Hellriegel Manor." Colby looks up at him and he sighs, "Does that mean you cancelled your flight?"
You scoff, "Please. Do you not have any faith in me, Golbach?" He smirks and rolls his eyes, "You right. Plus you'll have this guys, Mr intimidator here, to protect you." He grabs Colby's shoulders and shakes him slightly.
Colby's face is turning red, but so were your cheeks. You had to admit, it's getting a lot harder for you to resist each other, especially when he is making sure you're okay in the middle of an investigation.
He was and is the one you run to when you're jumping out of your skin scared.
"Yeah, yeah. Okay. I gotta go tell my parents that I'm leaving tomorrow." You pick up your phone and set your laptop down before you get up.
"Text us your landing time and we'll be here." Sam says and you give him a thumbs up. He walks away and Colby points the phone back to him, "Tell them we said hey and I'll see you tomorrow."
You smile and nod, "I will, and I'll see you tomorrow."

You couldn't stop thinking about what Colby said, about this possibly being a bad idea about you going, but you never turned away an adventure with Sam and Colby.
You're not going to start now.
As you walk through the airport, you hear your name being called. You jump slightly and turn, seeing Sam and Colby walking up to you.
"How was your flight?" Sam asks bringing you in for a hug. You hug him back, "It was alright, boring but alright." You look over at Colby who can't wait to have you in his arms, as you lean back from Sam.
"Glad you made it here safe." Colby wraps his arms around you, pulling you in close to him. You close your eyes, happy to be back with them until Sam clears his throat, "Maybe get a room or something?"
"Dude." Colby says loosening his arms from your waist as he turns to him trying not to laugh. You roll your eyes, "You'll never quit will you?"
He shrugs and holds his hands up, "Maybe if you guys would just admit that you like each other.."
"Oh my god." You try to hide your smile, but ayour cheeks regaining that blush of pink like normal doesn't help matters at all, "Can we just go please? I'm hungry."
Colby laughs slightly and wheels your suitcase behind him, "Yes. Please." He glares over at Sam who can't help but smirk at him.
.·:*¨ ✘ ¨*:·.
Back at the house, they give you the rundown on what they know about Hellriegel.
"So as you already know, Callum Hellriegel was a very.." Sam trials off as he tilts his head and you raise your eyebrows, "Devil of a man?"
Sam nods, "Exactly."
Colby speaks up, "There's been a mix of good and bad investigations, so it's really hard to tell what exactly we'll be dealing with."
You nod, "Hmm. Well I mean, if it gets too bad we can always high tail it out of there."
Colby nods, "Yeah, exactly. did you read up on anything else after our call or no?" You shake your head, "Since you said you wanted to fill me in, I figured I'd wait. Hear what you have to say." You smirk slightly and he nods.
"How nice of you." Sam says laughing, "But on a serious note guys.." he looks to Colby and back at you, "we truly have no idea what we're going to walk into."
"That's the exciting part though, right?" You shrug and smile, trying to stay positive because you were actually shitting your pants about going to this place.
"Bingo." Sam points and looks at his phone when it goes off, "That's the owner of the manor.." he answers, "Hello?"
You and Colby exchange smiles as you look back to Sam who is nodding, "Alright sick, yeah thank you." He hangs up and looks between you and Sam, "Tomorrow night."
You're kinda shocked but then again, kinda not surprised that it's happening this soon, "Oh great."
"What? Getting scared are we?" Sam teases and you side eye him, "Where is your faith in me, Sam? We talked about this." You laugh and he shakes his head, "I honestly didn't expect him to let us in that easy. It's always been a fight for other investigators to go there."
You smile, "You guys are changing the world, how could they not?"
"You're a part of this team too, y/n.." Colby smiles and looks from you to Sam, "So we are changing the world." He looks back to you, "You sure you're up for this?"
"I'm sure."

It wasn't until two am when you stared up at the ceiling, wondering if you really are sure about this. The more you thought about it the more it scared you but this is what you do, you remind yourself over and over again.
This is what you do.
Luckily, this isn't the first time you've been in this situation, and each time you are, both Sam and Colby make sure you're okay, along with each other of course.
You let out a sigh, rolling over to face the tv and your phone lights up. You reach out, grabbing it to pull back over to you and you see it's a message from Colby, I know you're nervous about this place and honestly.. we are too, but if things do turn bad, we'll get out of there.
You turn onto your back and a smile rests on your lips and your thumbs quickly tap the keyboard on your screen, I was actually needing that reassurance right now. I can't sleep because I am very nervous about tomorrow, but we've probably been through worse, right?
As you're waiting for a reply, you see a twitter notification pop up at the top of your screen and you laugh slightly, "Fucking Sam."
You click on the notification,
@/SamGolbach: New video popping up soon! @/Colbybrock, @/yourtwittername, and myself are going to be spending the night in the Hellriegel Manor. Stay tuned!!
You like the tweet and retweet it with a bunch of nervous face emojis and Colby instantly likes it.
You click on your group chat with both Sam and Colby, So we're all just up huh?
Sam texts back, Um, no. Only losers who won't confess their love for each other are awake at 2 in the morning
Same texts back again, talking about you Brock
Colby sends you a text separately then replies into the group chat, I'm not up what are you talking about?
You laugh as you type, bring the party down here, I'm kinda freaking myself out
Sam instantly replies, Take it to Colby's room
"Sam!" You hear Colby yell from upstairs and then a door opens, "Only trying to help." Sam says as he comes down the stairs, a shirtless Colby behind him, "Only making it worse, brother."
You sit up, looking back at them, "Can you turn the light on, please?"
Colby nods, flipping the light on and Sam instantly yells, "Oh my god, behind you."
You jump up off the couch, running backwards towards them and you push Sam when you turn to him, "Asshole."
"That wasn't cool, man." Colby shakes his head at Sam and you look up at Colby, "You can laugh." He fights it, and shakes his head, "No.. no.. it's alright."
You roll your eyes and make your way back to the couch, turning on a YouTube video about the manor, "Let's learn all we can shall we?"
.·:*¨ ✘ ¨*:·.
You don't even know when you fell asleep, you just know that when you woke up, you weren't alone. You look up at a still sleeping Colby, smiling slightly as you listen to him snore softly.
Your attention is ripped away when you hear Sam coming down the steps carrying his backpack, "Mornin' sleepy heads.. or head.. I'll let you wake the beast."
You smirk and shake your head, looking back at Colby, staring at him for a few seconds before tapping his chest, "Hey, Colbs."
He doesn't budge so you tap harder and lean in, "Colby." He jumps slightly and looks at you with an immediate smile taking over his face, "oh hey." He stretches his arm slightly, "What time is it?"
You tilt your head back, "Sam what time is it?"
"Almost time to leave."
"That doesn't give me a-"
"It's nine." He smirks when you look at him, raising his eyebrows as he motions to you and Colby, making a heart with his hands. You wave him off and look back at Colby, "It's nine."
He sighs and sits up, "Okay. So we have an hour until Sam wants to leave."
"You know me so well." Sam says walking over and grabbing stuff off the coffee table. You tilt your head, "More like you drilled it into our heads repeatedly last night."
He mocks you before sighing, "Do you have to fight me on everything?"
You stand up and stretch, "Would I be one of your friend if I didn't?"
.·:*¨ ✘ ¨*:·.
After getting everything around, you finally make your way to the car.
"I figured we could film the intro once we got there?" Sam says playing around with the camera. Colby nods, "Works for me."
You lean back in the seat, clicking on the message Colby sent you before they came downstairs last night, I really didn't expect you to be awake so this is awkward, but you know you don't have to do anything you don't want to do, right? And I don't just mean that with the ghost hunting.
You smile to yourself, but snap out of it when Sam starts talking and you know he's recording, "We are on our way to Hellriegel Manor, we just left a little bit ago so we should be there in like two hours or so. How are you guys feeling?"
He turns the camera to Colby, "Colby. How are we feeling, buddy?"
Colby shrugs and laughs, "I am ready to try and get answers on whether this is truly a demon or not."
Sam turns the camera back to you, "Y/n. You shaking in your boots back there?"
"No but I will be once we hit that final stretch towards it." You laugh, "I'm excited."
Sam turns the camera around so it's on all of you, "We will keep you guys updated along the way. So far it'll be driving but you guys, luckily get to skip that part." He cuts the camera off and you can't help but laugh.
"What?" Sam asks turning and Colby laughs with you, "I'm laughing because she's laughing."
You sigh, "I don't even know why I'm laughing. I think I'm nervous now."
"Well, we can drop you off here. It's not a long walk back." Sam teases and you know he can feel your glare through the back of his seat, Colby's too.
"I'm kidding. I'm kidding." Sam laughs and it's pretty much just joking back and forth the whole way there because let's face it, you were scared to go there and you were all worried about each other.
.·:*¨ ✘ ¨*:·.
Sam clicks the camera on as you drive through the rusted old gate, "We have arrived at our destination." He points the camera to Colby and he gives a big smile as he laughs, "I think I just shit my pants. This place is fucking creepy even in the day time, man." He leans forward, looking at the huge, visibly old house.
"Look at those pillars." Sam says with a sigh, "I have a feeling we underestimated this guys."
You nod, "Mhm." Sam puts the camera on you as Colby parks the car and you purse your lips together, "I just got cold."
Both of them turn back to look at you, "Really?" Colby asks and looks at Sam, "That's not good."
Sam turns the camera around and makes a face, "We literally just pulled up and already one of us is feeling something. If that doesn't say anything about this place.."
"You guys didn't feel that? I mean maybe it was a freak thing, but as soon as we went through the gate, I felt something and then the closer we got to the house I got a chill."
"Wow." Sam is shocked, "Alright, well on that note, we'll see you guys in a second." He ends it and turns back to you, "Are you good?"
You nod, "Yeah, yeah. I'm good." Colby looks back at you, giving you an are you actually look and you nod again, "Let's go."
As you get out of the car, Sam starts rolling again, "Alright guys, we are here at the Hellriegel Manor." He shows the old building, "This place is just.. I don't know."
"I'll tell you what it is, insane." Colby says while straining his voice as he leans into the camera.
You knew tonight wasn't going to be a good night, for you at least. You have continuously felt energy since the moment you crossed through the gate, and some of it wasn't good.
"Y/n?" Colby says walking over to you, "You good? You just like zoned out for a minute there."
You blink a few times and look up at him, "We might not be spending the whole night here."
Sam moves up to you, "Really? Why do you-"
"Something just moved in that very top-right window." You point and Sam moves the camera up to it, "Shit, are you serious? Colby did you see that?"
Colby shakes his head, "Shit. No."
"You Sam and Colby?" An older guy who's followed by two more guys, yells out.
"Hey, yes sir.." Colby says walking over and you and Sam follow him, "I'm Colby, this is Sam, and y/n."
You all shake hands and the guy sighs, "I'm Dean, these are my two sons, Riley and Luke. What all have you heard about this place?"
"Callum Hellreigel is a big name attached to this place, right? He was the one who caused all of the prostitutes to go missing?" Sam asks as he hands the camera to Colby.
Dean nods, "Yeah, in or around 1927, it was rumored that the reason he was killing these women, was for sacrifices, but people who have worked in the house swore up and down he didn't but who knows.." as Dean goes on explaining more about the manor, you suddenly feel a wave of dizziness was over you and you close your eye.
"No shit." Colby nods, "Do you know why he was doing that or .. anything?"
"Whoa. Hey, y/n." Sam moves to your other side and taps your arm, "You with us?"
You slowly open your eyes, "He doesn't like us talking about him." You can tell everyone around you tenses, "Sam once you said his name, I got dizzy."
"He likes you." Dean says wagging his finger at you, "He always likes the pretty ones."
Colby shifts towards you and you look over at him. He hands the camera to Sam and looks back up at Dean who sighs, "You might have the best of luck tonight, y/n."
"Great." You laugh slightly, "We also heard that it's hit or miss with how good or bad it can be."
Dean nods, "Oh yeah. Very much so. We've had people come in who didn't get anything but a few knocks and we've had people who were so overwhelmed within two hours they had to leave."
"That's crazy, dude." Sam says and looks at you and Colby. Colby shakes his head and laughs slightly, "Well we mean no harm, we just want to try and figure out if those old news articles were right."
"There's another figure in the window." You point to the same window and they all look up but it disappears.
"Are you talking about the far window on the right?" Dean slowly turns towards you and you nod, "Mhm."
He nods, "That's where his room is."
"Am I seeing him?" Your heart starts to race and Dean shrugs, "Very well could be." He nods towards the house, "Come on, we'll give you the tour."
"Are you okay?" Colby asks holding onto your arm. You nod, "This is going to be a very good video for you guys.
.·:*¨ ✘ ¨*:·.
"You know. During the day it's not as scary." Sam says with a nervous laugh, "Right?"
One of Dean's sons laughs, "Wait for sundown."
"I don't wanna wait for sun down.. sun please stay up." Sam laughs along with the rest of you.
"Now this room is the room where he held about five woman at a time. They'd come in here and basically wait for their turn with Callum." Dean opens the door and you guys walk into a small room, "There was always a guard, or whatever you want to call them, in here with them at all times."
"Oh wow." You shake your head, "This is.." you look around, "They were scared." Right after you say that, there's a thud and you all look towards the door.
"that sounded like it came from downstairs." Sam whispers, and soon after there's another thud, but closer. Colby walks over and looks, "There's no one out here dude. That was so loud, though."
"I'd say they were more than scared, sweetheart." Dean walks over and lifts up the loose wallpaper, revealing names that were scratched into the wall behind it, "Even the guards would mistreat the women who were held here."
"And he never got caught? How many years did he do this for?" Colby asks slightly confused, "like no one ever thought of check on the missing women from the town that's right down over the hill?" He laughs and looks at Sam who nods, "Right like you'd think that."
As they talk, you think for few moments quietly before tilting your head, "When we walk in, I could have swore I heard a whisper and now that I see this.." you walk over and bend down, "It was definitely Izzie."
"No fucking way." Sam says and walks over, showing the wall to the camera, "so like right when you walked in it was like bam someone whispering Izzie?"
You stand up and look at him, "I swear to god. I thought maybe I brushed against something like my jacket did.." you scratch your jacket off the wall, "but no. It was clearly a whisper."
"Oh my god." Colby says dragging it out slightly, "This is crazy."
"There's two more rooms you need to see, one of them being the basement." Dean motions for you guys to follow him and you make your way to the master bedroom.
"So this is where he stayed most of the time?" Sam asks, "With these prostitutes or whatever?"
Dean nods, "Yep, yeah he basically lived in here and right.." he pauses and walks over to the window and points on the ground, "..over here. Is where he shot himself."
"So wait.." you point to the window and walk over, looking out with a gasp, "oh my god." You look out at the spot you stood in when you seen the apparition in the window.
"Correct." Dean says and turns, "He would bring the women in here one at a time, do what he promised them lots of money to do and then they'd just never leave."
"That's dark, man. Sad too." Colby frowns and shakes his head. Dean nods, "So the other girls caught on pretty quick as to what was happening."
"I can't imagine the fear that was brought onto them as they waited to just die basically." Sam looks around amd Dean points to you, "If you want to try contacting him. You'll probably have the best luck. Lay on the bed if you feel brave enough."
Your heart sinks, "Oh shit, I don't think-" you look at the door quickly, but whatever was there vanishes, "the door way. Someone is watching us."
You walk over, looking out but nothing else is there. You turn back towards them, camera on you, "It's really cold right here."
"You're the first to honestly say they saw something in this room." Dean says and you raise your eyebrows, "Really?"
"Does he move around a lot or does he mainly stay in this room?" Colby asks but jumps when there's footsteps in the hallway. You lean back and shake your head, "Nothing."
"I've had people come in and say there's many, many spirits here." Dean points, "but the one I get feedback on most on the time is the basement. Lots say it's the worst, and I'll show you why." He motions for you to follow him.
Sam cuts the camera off, "I think you may be right, y/n." You walk with him and Colby as you follow the others, "We definitely underestimated this place." You look between them and walks down the steps.
As you approach the slightly skinny basement door, Sam starts recording as Dean turns to you, "You might not like it down here." He looks the door and he reveals a, very unsettling, dark stair well.
You turn and give the camera a fake crying face, "Oh no."
"There are no lights, we did put lights in, but they must not like them, so you have to use flashlights so be careful coming down." Dean says and everyone pulls their phones out and switches the flash on.
Dean and his sons go down first and you and the boys follow, "Hold on, I just want to see how dark it is." Sam switches off the light and everyone covers their lights, "Oh fucking hell."
You immediately grab onto Colby's jacket and his hand immediately goes to the side of your leg, both keeping a hold of each other until Sam turns the light back on. Colby laughs, "that's the, you can't see your hand in front of your face dark."
"Now, keep that in mind because down here.." Dean pauses, "They only had candles for light down here I'm pretty sure.."
You reach the bottom and your heart feels like it's working overtime. You feel dizzy, grabbing onto the first thing you could, Colby's arm, to not fall back.
"Whoa." He wraps an arm around your waist and you nod, "Dean.. let me tell you something.." you laugh slightly and point at him.
He nods, "You don't like it down here do you?" You shake your head, "Not at all." Your eyes scan over what you can see of the old jail cells.
You felt pain and sadness, and just flat out awful.
"Down here, they kept at least twenty more women at a time, five to a cell." Riley points, "Right above the last cell over there, is where the five upstairs were, so that cell you could hear almost everything, because there's a vent, for whatever reason."
"Did they make that vent so they could hear the screams and shit on purpose or?" Sam asks looking over towards the cell.
Dean nods, "I mean, it's very possible because it's literally just a straight shot, so. I wouldn't have put it past him, he was-"
A bottle rolls down the steps and you close your eyes, "No, no, no." You laugh nervously, "There's no fucking way."
"Are you kidding me right now?" Sam turns to Colby, "We didn't even start the investigation yet and a fucking bottle.. rolls down the steps?"
Colby's eyes are wide and his mouth is open, "Did you catch that?" Sam nods, "then sound and then maybe the end of it coming down." He sighs, "Oh what the hell did we get ourselves into?"
"I don't know but I'm scared." You admit, "This isn't going to be easy." You say into the camera and Colby crosses his arms, "What would they do down here exactly? To these women that were just held here waiting?"
Dean shrugs, "All of it.. and right over there around the wall of the stairs." He points and walks you guys over, "He had the women who, in the words of what I read and was told, couldn't please him like he wanted, tortured for hours on hours I guess."
"What did they do with the bodies? Do you know if they buried them or.." Sam asks and Dean shifts around slightly, "I just got a chill, but um.."
"Wait you just got a chill?" Colby steps forward, "It doesn't feel any different to me so that's creepy."
Dean chuckles, "Yeah, so anyway.. it was rumored they tried to cremate them theirselves, but I don't think it worked out, but when we were trying to clear some stuff out around the house, there was a well that was discovered and it had human bones in it, but no one really knows what happened to them they just vanished one day and no one asked questions."
"So there is a lot of pent up negative energy surrounding this manor." One of the guys says, but you're not focused on who. You shake your head, "Some just want to be free." You look at Sam and Colby, "Something is keeping them here and I think I know who it is."
"Oh god." Sam yells and jumps forward, spinning around really quick, "Something just grabbed my shoulder, swear to god."
"You good, man?" Colby walks up to him, and Sam nods, "Yes, yes. That just scared the shit out of me. Like I was just standing here and it felt like someone did this to me. But lightly." He demonstrates by grabbing Colby's shoulder.
"That may happen a lot more when we leave." Dean says and motions with his light to go back up.
Once you make it back outside, he turns towards the house, "Just keep reminding them why you are here and that you're the ones in control."
"Will that actually work?" Sam looks at Dean and he nods, "It'll definitely work for him." He points to Colby and you smile as you remember someone else telling Colby he's intimidating.
"I have been told that I intimidate spirits so.. that's my house now." He makes his voice strained, "No, im kidding. He laughs and Dean shakes his head, "No that's exactly it. Show you're in control and you should be fine."
"Should be, that's not too selling there, Dean." Sam says and looks at Colby. He shrugs, "I mean, it works for me."
"Well, good luck and if you're still here, I'll see you in the morning."
.·:*¨ ✘ ¨*:·.
After getting the equipment from the car and talking for a little bit, it's almost dark so the three of you agree it's best to just start since you were already getting so much activity already.
"You good?" Colby asks as he sets up some stuff, getting it ready. You look up, "Yeah." You let out breathy laugh, "I'm nervous, but otherwise good."
"Oh shit." You hear Sam yell from outside, "No fucking way." You and Colby look at each other and run out, "What? what?" Colby asks going over to him.
You follow behind and he points, "I think I saw what you saw earlier, y/n. I turned the camera on but by the time I looked up, it was gone."
"Yeah, like it only wants you to see it, if it lets you." You run your hands over your face, "Okay so I think we should try and get something before we're basically chased out of here."
You come to regret saying those words, later on.
"Okay, yeah. So the living room area? See if we can get in touch with someone who worked here?" Colby says and Sam nods, "Let's do it."
As you walk up to the door, you turn around and look at Colby, "Did you just whistle?" He shakes his head, "No that wasn't me, was it you?" He points to Sam and he shakes his head, "No."
"There's a light whistle, but it sounded like it was right behind me." You close your eyes and shake your head, "Oh god."
"It's alright. Come on." Colby leads you into the living area and you stand over to the coffee table and set down the EMF, waiting for Sam and Colby to come in.
"Okay. Ill put a flashlight on the mantle here and-"
A loud knock cuts Sam off, "Did you hear that?" His eyes move between you and Colby and you both nod. He lets out a sigh, "Alright."
He starts rolling, "So we are here in the living room area of the Hellriegel Manor, and we've been hearing knocks.."
"A bottle rolled down the basement stairs, this place is absolutely insane already, but now we're here and we're going to start by asking some simple questions." Colby takes the camera from Sam so he can lay a flashlight on the mantle like he said, "We have just a regular flashlight here and then we have the EMF over there by y/n."
You switch it on and move away from it, "Do you want me to start?"
Immediately both the flashlight and the EMF lights up green. Sam and Colby both yell out, "Oh fuck dude."
You freeze, "Um. Okay. My name is y/n. I come with peace and just wanting to find out the truth about what happened here. Is there just one of you talking to us right now?"
You wait a few moments and as soon as you look at Colby it lights up red and the flashlight switches off.
Your eyes go wide as you look at Sam. His eyes search the floor as he thinks, "My name is Sam, I too come with peace, I just want to ask, are you trapped here?"
Colby moves the camera from the EMF to the flashlight, "Y/n. Repeat what Sam asked."
"Are you trapped here?" You ask and it's an immediate green light, no flashlight, "Am I speaking to one person now?"
Red light. Flashlight turns on making all of you gasp and yell. Colby shakes his head, "Dean was right, they must be drawn to her more than us."
Switches green and the flashlight stays on.
"That wasn't even a ques-" something falling from a shelf makes you jump and you bolt in between them, "Oh Jesus Christ."
"I'm Colby. I also come with peace. Was that you that just knocked that stuff over?" A few moments go by and nothing.
"If that was you, can you do it again, please?" You grip Colby's arm, "the hairs on the back of my neck just stood up." He looks down at you, "really?" You nod and Sam brings his hand up behind you, "It's literally only cold right here."
Suddenly you're pushed away from Colby, not hard, but enough to make you lean back.
"Did you just get pushed?" Colby asks, "You pulled me with you tha-"
What sounds like empty tin cans, hit the floor and roll, stopping in the entry way of the living room.
"Thank you." You say, "Am I speaking to the original owner of this house?" You let go of Colby and walk over to the doorway.
"Y/n, stay close please. This house is too un-" Colby gets cut off by the EMF lighting up red.
"Are you saying no to y/n's question?" Sam asks quickly and it flashes red. Your eyes go wide and you make your way back over to them, "Do you want me to stay close to Sam and Colby?"
Flashes red and the flash light turns on.
"Fuck me." You lay a hand on your face and the emf lifts up green.
"No." Colby says almost immediately, "You can't have her."
Flashes green and the flash light stays on.
You look at them, "I have to ask if it's him."
Flashes green again and the flash light goes off.
"Dude this is fucking wild, oh my god." Sam runs a hand through his hair, "Are you okay?" He looks at you and you nod, "Yeah, I'm good."
"I have a very important question for you." You move over and sit in the one chair, "Am I speaking to Callum Hellreigel?"
Lights up red and you feel kind of relieved until you see a shadow move on the stairs, "Fuck, the stairs. Something just went up."
"Are you going upstairs?" Colby asks and waits patiently. The EMF goes off and it's red, "Are you one of the women who were lured here and promised money?"
Lights up green.
"Is anyone else with you?" Sam asks and rests his hand against his chin.
Lights up green.
Just as Colby is getting ready to ask something you stand up, "Something just.." you point up and shake your head, "I just heard come on. Like something said come on."
"Is that you Callum? Are you trying to lure y/n up stairs?" Colby hands the camera back to Sam and looks over at you, no response.
"Okay, so they definitely move around." Sam sighs, "Fuck man. Y/n. How are you feeling?" You look over at them slowly, "Oh I'm great." You stand up, "Maybe we should move.."
"Where to next?" Sam asks and you walk over to them, "Upstairs. I don't think he killed himself."
They're both taken aback by what you said and Colby shakes his head, "Do you feel something towards that?"
You nod, "I have this.. uneasy feeling in my stomach and I get chills thinking about it. I don't think he shot himself."
The EMF reader lights up green and you jump slightly, "Fuck." Sam looks around, "Did you kill your self Callum?"
Nothing.
Colby repeats Sam's question exactly, nothing.
They both look at you, along with the camera and you take a deep breath and shake your head, "get the spirit box."
Sam stops recording, "That's a good idea. Where do you want to set up?"
Colby walks over to you and lays his hands on your arms, "You good to keep going?" You nod, "Yeah I need to find out what happened, I'm nosey." You laugh slightly and lean around to look at Sam, "Maybe top of the steps?"
He nods and you grab the equipment and look at the steps. Your eyes move up and down, getting a weird feeling about it, "Wait." You stop Sam and point to the floor at the bottom of the steps.
Colby starts recording and Sam sets it down, "let me just turn it on." He turns it on and a soft white noise fills the area.
Sam motions to you and you bite your lip, debating on which question to ask.
".. Up .."
"Yo, no." Sam covers his mouth and Colby laughs nervously, "No fucking way."
"Do you want us to go up the stairs?" You ask and chew on your nail.
".. Wall .. name.."
"Are you asking about the names on the wall in the room where the women were held?" Colby asks, "Did you whisper Izzie to y/n when we went in there earlier?"
A soft, 'y/n' is whispered behind you and you let out a slight yell, "Fuck, no. Someone just said my name."
"..Yes.."
"Callum was that you?" You close your eyes and shake it, letting out quiet, high toned "oh shit."
"Bed."
"Do you want us to go to the bedroom? Callum's room?" Colby asks rubbing his eyebrow and pulls you to him when you all clear as day hear,
"Just... her.."
"You can't have her." Sam says looking around, "You can't have any one anymore, do you hear me?"
".. Blood.. shed .."
"Doesn't mean blood shed, like bleeding or?" Colby asks Sam and he shakes his head, "I don't know, man."
"So scared."
"I know you're scared." You say and nothing else comes through.
"Why do you want y/n?" Colby asks moving the camera around, "Are you scared of us? I promise we mean no harm to any of you."
".. Pretty... girl .."
"do you guys feel okay?" You fan yourself, "I just got really hot all of a sudden." Colby hands the camera to Sam and feels your forehead, "You feel cold to me."
You're suddenly pushed backwards away from Colby's touch, "Fuck." He says pulling you over to Sam. He turns from recording the stairs, "What happened? What?"
Colby sighs, "She just got pushed again, dude."
"Maybe we should just go up." You close your eyes as Colby instantly disagrees, "Mm. No."
Sam cuts the camera off, "Colby. If she thinks she can-"
"We don't know what we're dealing with here, Sam. I'm not going to send her into a room alone." Colby argues.
".. Stop .."
"Stop what?" You ask and Sam turns the camera on, "So.. Colby felt y/n's head because she said she was hot and when he did that, y/n got pu-" a loud thud is heard from up stairs and Sam quickly turns the spirit box off and turns the camera to you guys, "Did you hear that?"
You nod, "Almost like.. a body falling onto the floor."
"That's what I was thinking." Coby says nodding.
Sam waits a few seconds more before picking up where he left off in a whisper, "So basically, whatever is here doesn't like us being close to y/n."
"Dean did say that she might be the target for tonight, just because of all the history with this place." Colby says.
"I think we should just do it because it's either his room or the basement and I'll tell you right now I'm not ready to go back down there yet." You chew on your cheek, "So let's just go up there and hit those rooms up there."
.·:*¨ ✘ ¨*:·.
There was a sudden decrease in activity in the other rooms but it quickly picked up when you moved back towards the bedroom.
"I think we should put the REM pod where Dean said he was shot." Sam suggests and you nod, "Yeah. That's good."
You have this feelings that something is watching you, and no it's not just Colby.
"Sam." Colby says, "You don't think.."
Sam stands up after checking the pod, "What?" Colby nods towards me, lowing his voice, "You don't think he's.. targeting her because of me do you?"
Sam glances at you and shrugs, "So you're admitting to liking her then?"
Colby sighs, "Yes, Sam. I'm admitting to it finally." He smiles but shakes his head, "That's not the point, how are we going to do this without any danger coming to her?"
"Why don't we just ask him?" You step forward, "You can be right outside the door."
Colby shakes his head, "No."
There's a loud bang and you jump, "Colbs. I got this. If anything happens, you'll be right outside." Sam starts rolling the camera, "So we are now in the room where Callum supposedly shot himself and y/n has decided to lay in Callum Hellreigel's very own bed. Alone."
Sam turns the camera to you, "How are you feeling?" You take a deep breath, "it is what it is right?" You shrug, but Colby didn't like that answer.
"I'll be fine." You hold two thumbs up and Sam points the camera at Colby, "Wanna tell them what we're doing?"
Colby clears his throat as he holds up the EMF, "We are going to set up y/n with the EMF as well, and she'll ask yes or no questions and hopefully we can get some answers.."
"Then we'll come back in after a little while and set up the spirit box, maybe catch something on that? I don't know how you guys feel about that.." Sam trails off and you nod, "Sounds good."
Colby's whole demeanor changed since you said you'll stay in the room by yourself. You keep looking at him, and he looks at you, but he has worry in his eyes.
"Alight so we're just going to put this in the corner here.." Sam says as he sets up the camera on the one stand, angled towards the bed and window.
Colby walks up to you, cupping your cheeks, "Anything, and I mean anything happens, yell, scream and we'll be here."
You nod, laying a hand on his, "I can handle this." You jump and Sam yells as something falls outside of the room, "What the fuck. That sounded like something massive."
"Shit." Colby says taking his hands away, "Sorry. Sorry." He holds his hands up and steps back from you. Your eyes move around the room as you make your way over to the bed, sitting criss cross, "See you soon."
"You're sure?" Sam asks one last time. You take a deep breath, "Yes." Colby's eyes are on you until Sam fully shuts the door, leaving you in the darkened silence, alone.
"Callum Hellriegel." You call out, "If you're here, can you go over and touch that little box that's on the floor for me?"
The red light flashes, indicating no on the EMF.
"Am I talking to someone else?" Your eyes scan around the room, taking slow deep breathes as you try to get used to the dark, no answer, "I should’ve stayed home." You joke quietly to yourself,  "Is this where you wanted me?"
Instant green light.
You chew on your cheek as a chill washes over your body, "Fuck." You rest your hands on your head, "Did you kill all those women, Callum?"
Instant green light and the REM pod goes off.
"Did you kill them because they couldn't please you?" You rest your hand on your cheek and jump slightly when the EMF goes red.
"Did you kill them beca-" The EMF flashes red over and over again, "Stop!" You say loudly and it's soon followed by a loud bang on the window.
"Holy fuck." You sigh and place a hand on your chest, "Do you want us to bring the spirit box in so you can talk?"
Instant green light.
"Callum Hellreigel.. did you kill your self?" Your eyes move from the REM pod to the EMF, waiting for something, "Did someone else do it?"
Instant green light.
"Oh fuck. Oh fuck. Okay, okay. Was it someone who worked for you?"
Instant red light.
"Was it one of the prostitutes?"
Instant green light.
"Is there anyone else here?"
Instant green light and you suddenly feel like you're being choked. You try to yell out as loud as you can, "C-Colby!" You feel the pressure on your neck vanish and you start coughing as soon as the boys bust through the door.
Colby is right next to you, "What? What? Y/n. Talk to me."
You're gasping for air still as you try to comprehend what just happened.
Sam brings the camera over, almost dropping it when he sees the finger marks on your neck.
"Holy fuck- Colby." Sam moves your hair to show the camera, "Oh my god. Are you okay? Oh fuck."
Colby's eyes are glued to your neck, "Can you breathe? Are you okay?"
"I-I.." you clear your throat, rubbing your hand over the prints, "I believe.. I was talking to Callum, and then I asked if anyone else was here and it went to yes and then i just suddenly felt like I was being choked."
"What the fuck, okay let's just get out of this room, I don't.." Sam sighs and shakes his head, "I don't like this."
As you're gathering the equipment and getting ready to walk out, you're pushed into Sam causing him to stumble a step forward, "That wasn't me." You say quickly as he turns around, "are you okay?"
Colby shuts the door with a slam and sighs, "This is fucking insane.. I can't believe this happened."
"Did you hear that?" You look down the steps, "Something just moved into the living room."
Sam points the camera, the light shining down and there's nothing there, "What the fuck, what the fuck?!"
"Shh. Shh." You shush Sam and look around, "I thought I heard whispering."
Colby lays a hand on your back, "Let's go outside, talk about what happened and then we can figure out what we wanna do."
Colby was just worried about getting you out without anymore damage.
You make your way outside, camera still rolling, bending down to the ground, "Oh my god."
"Okay. So y/n.. she got attacked basically and we're trying to figure out why. She's okay. She's okay.. it's just.. " Sam keeps the camera off of you until you stand back up, "Fuck."
"So." You walk over to them, using your hand to hide your neck from the camera, "As soon as you guys left, it was.. weird, it was fucking weird." You laugh slightly and shake your head, "I asked if it was him. Said no. Then I asked if it was someone else, no answer and then I asked if I was where they wanted me and that was an instant green light."
"What if.. what if it's not Callum?" Colby looks between you and Sam and Sam gasps, "One of the women?"
You hold your hand up, "Oh just wait. So then I asked if he killed all those women. Instant green light. I then asked if it was because they couldn't please him and it said no."
"Wait, y/n.. Did you tell stop at one point?" Sam asks and you nod, "The red light kept flashing over and over, so then I told it to stop and then it sounded like something hit the window. Hard. It was loud."
"Wait what?" Colby looks to Sam, "Did you hear anything?" Sam shakes his head, "I thought I heard her yell stop but it was much quieter than she says she yelled."
"Do you think.. wait.." Colby looks at you, "Izzie. That's what was whispered to you right?" You nod and he shrugs, "What if she killed him?"
"That's actually something that very well could have happened.. He favorited her maybe and she developed this jealously? Oh my god, the story just keeps unraveling." Sam points the camera back to you and you continue, "I asked if they wanted us to bring the sprit box in and it said yes. It also said yes to me asking if someone else killed him.." you look between them, "..and to if it was one of the prositutes."
"Yo, no. Are you fucking serious!?" Sam's mouth drops, "Is said yes to that?"
You nod, "Sure did."
"Izzie probably is intimidated by you." Colby says, "I think we have this all wrong." You run your hand over your head, "Mhm. But it was like not even a second after the light went green I felt this pressure around my neck and I couldn't move. I wasn't even sure if you guys heard me calling."
"I heard you scream Colby, a lot louder than when you yelled stop." Sam shakes his head, "If I would have known we would have came in.." he looks at Colby, "They said about the spirit box.."
Colby shakes his head and looks at you as Sam moves the camera onto you, "I think we should just take a break, give them time to settle, if they will." You suggest and Sam nods, "That's a good idea."
.·:*¨ ✘ ¨*:·.
The whole time you guys took a break, Colby hasn't left your side as you guys discussed and agreed on what you were doing.
He found himself glancing at your neck every so often, wondering if him putting up more of a fight would have kept you safe.
"Colby.." you whisper, "Colbs." You finally get his attention, "Stop it."
"Stop what?"
"Not your fault. I chose to go in there." You lay a hand on his cheek, "Okay?"
He nods, not really convincing you but you go with it as Sam walks over, "Are you ready?" He looks at you and you nod, taking Colby's hand in yours, "Yeah. We're ready."
"Anything else happens and I'm throwing you over my shoulder and taking you out of there myself." He whispers low into your ear as sam walks towards the house.
You smile slightly, "Don't threaten me with a good time."
He keeps his arm around you until you reach the front door. He walks in but you stop, staring up the steps, "Sam. Don't move."
Colby looks between you, Sam and the steps, "What?" He whispers quietly and you point slightly, "There's a woman.." you raise your voice, "Izzie?"
The figure you see turns from the top of the steps and goes into Callum's room.
"We need to do the spirit box."
You make your way up to the room and Colby walks in first. Then you, then Sam. The REM pod gets put on the floor, and turned on. Sam backs away from it and you take a deep breath.
"We mean no harm to anyone that is here." You say and look around, "Izzie. If you were the one that choked me, can you touch that box on the floor over by the window?"
You close your eyes as soon as it lights up.
"Fucking shit dude." Sam says pointing the camera to you. You open your eyes and step towards the bed, "Did you get jealous of the other girls? Make that light up for me if you were."
You look over at Sam and Colby, who are whispering stuff to each other, and back to the pod as it lights up.
"one more time if you want us to turn on the spirit box." You run a hand through your hair and turn back to them as it lights up a few times in a row.
Colby takes the camera and Sam grabs the box, walking over and setting it on the window sill, "You will be able to talk to us using this box here."
Colby moves over closer to you and Sam and as soon as Sam flips it on, "Why did you choke y/n?"
".. doesn't... belong.."
"She doesn't belong here in general or doesn't belong to Callum?" Colby continues and you chew on your nail as you wait patiently.
".. not.. his..."
"Can you tell us who isn't his? Are you talking about Callum?" Sam interjects, "Y/n doesn't belong to Callum."
"..Mine.. my doing.."
"Are we talking to Izzie or Callum?" You rest your hand on your cheek, "Can you please tell me who we are talking to?"
".. Colby.."
"What the hell?" Colby groans and laughs slightly, "Can you tell me who I'm talking to?" He asks giving the camera to Sam, "I'm right here."
".. not.. yours.."
You look at Sam then go to Colby.
"..out.. out.. Izzie.."
"Did you kill Callum, Izzie?" Sam asks, "Was it you who shot him in front of the window?"
" .. y/n.. stay .."
You let out a quick scream as something grabs your arm, "No. I'm not staying. You cannot have me." The same bang on the window that happened while you were alone, happens again.
Colby aims the camera to the window, "fuck, what was th-"
".. keep her safe .."
"We are keeping her safe." Colby says as he pulls you in between him and Sam, "Do not touch her. Do not touch us."
You look around, "Shit." You jump, "Izzie. Leave."
" .. Sam .. "
"Okay no. No that's.. no.." Sam laughs nervously, "Do you want us to leave?"
" .. Colby ... and Sam .. "
"Alright we're done." Colby hands the camera back to Sam and turns off the box, "I don't think Callum is a demon. I think Izzie has some jealousy to figure out and she won't be doing that with you." He looks at you and you nod, "Fine."
"That was fucking insane, dude. What the actual fuck was that?" Sam shakes his head, unable to comprehend what just happened.
You hear another whisper as you turn towards the door, "did you hear that?" Sam and Colby stop talking and go quiet as they listen.
You turn towards them, "Please don't go is what I just heard.."
"We're going." Sam and Colby say in unison which makes you all kinda laugh, fear still in overdrive. You spin in a slow circle, "Whatever is in this room, this house, who ever you are, you cannot follow us out of this house. You cannot follow us home. You can not come with us."
As Sam bends down to pick up the REM, Colby lays his hand on your back but you wince and gasp, "What the fuck?"
"What?" Colby asks looking over you, "What happened?"
"Lift my shirt." You turn back around and Sam comes over with the camera, the light on top shining onto your back.
Colby slides your shirt up, "We're done. That's two fucking scratches l, Sam." He looks at Sam and you turn around, "Two?!"
As soon as you stand all the way up, you get dizzy and stumble back slightly into the wall. You suddenly feel like your emotions aren't yours anymore and you feel tears welling up in your eyes.
Flashes of a woman in a long dress and a man undressing her appear in your mind.
She's screaming. Crying. There's two more guys, but they're standing in the corners, watching it happen.
You feel like you're seeing someone else's vision until everything goes black and you start to regain the imagine of Colby and Sam standing in front of you.
"Y/n.. hey." You hear Colby say as he shakes you gently, "Y/n. Hey where'd you go?"
Your head snaps up to him, "What?" You look around, shaking your head, "I don't.. what just.."
"You weren't you." Sam says, "You went back into the wall and then you were in a stare, Colby tried for like two minutes to get you to look up."
"We.." your chest rises and falls quickly, "I'm so scared right now." A loud thump on the wall behind you rattles the room and you high tail it out of there.
Down the steps and out the door as Sam and Colby follow you.
"Y/n. Hey, hey wait." Colby yells, "Y/n." He walks up to you and takes you into his arms. You freak out for a second until you realize it's him and you let your body fall into his.
"Is she okay?" Sam asks running up, "What the fuck just happened?"
Colby shrugs, "I have no idea. But I see why they don't just let anyone in here."
He looks down at you, arms still tightly around you, "Hey. You're okay. I got you." You tilt your head up, slowly looking back at the building.
You let out a slight laugh, "Did I.. just.. did I just get possessed or something?"
They're both looking at you worried, "I saw a woman.. screaming as a man was taking off her dress and two other men in the corners were watching.. I don't.. was that.."
"We don't have an answer for that, but what I do know is that we're getting far from this place as possible." Colby lets you go as you stand up straight.
You look at Colby and point your finger at him, "Remember what I said to you last night, about us probably having been through worse?"
Colby nods as his hands move up and down your arm.
"Well, this is worse." You laugh anxiously, tears welling up into your eyes again, "What the fuck was that?"
"We're going home. It's okay." Colby wraps his arms around you, "Sam, can you drive home?" Sam yells out a quick 'yeah' as he packs the trunk back up.
"Come on. We're going home."

Two’s company, three’s a crowd (Part 3)
(Tara Carpenter x fem! reader || Sam Carpenter x fem! reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: Things aren't really going well after what happened, and a new murder spree does not help. Part 1 || Part 2 || Part 3 Warnings: violence, blood, death, Ghostface, explicit language at one point, angst maybe (?) a/n: honestly I was on freestyle mode the whole time so idk if that even make sense 😭 (English isn't my first language, I'm sorry if there are mistakes or if something doesn't make sense TvT)
The atmosphere was tensed at the apartment. Tara wasn’t talking to you or her sister, and you both felt bad for hurting her. Sam for ‘stealing’ the girl she loved, and you for breaking her heart after giving her hope.
You tried to tell her in the less hurtful way possible, but that kind of thing always hurt, no matter how you handle it.
As if it wasn’t enough, their roommate, Quinn, wouldn’t stop making dirty jokes about you and Sam, not caring if Tara was in the room. You liked the redhead, she was nice, but sometimes you just prayed someone would make her shut up.
Quinn wasn’t exactly known to be quiet. She was pretty loud even. Especially when she was getting fucked by whatever guy she brought back to the apartment. Which happened like everyday.
It was part of the reason why Sam and you spent most nights at your apartment, so the mood isn’t ruined by Quinn’s moans. It was also to give Tara some space, and to keep a distance between her and your sexual life.
This night, however, you were at Sam and Tara’s apartment; after the news announced a murder in the neighborhood and that a Ghostface mask was found on the crime scene, it was the best thing to do.
Everyone was gathered in the apartment: Sam, Tara, Quinn, Anika, Mindy and Chad. You were making dinner with Sam while the others were chatting in the living room -minus Quinn who was in her room.
While you were watching the pastas, you felt Sam’s arms wrap around your waist from behind. She rested her chin on your shoulder.
“Thank you for staying… I mean- you could’ve left New York and-”
You turned around to face her, her arms still around you.
“Hey, I’m not leaving you here. We don’t even know if it’s really Ghostface, maybe it’s some kind of joke. Whatever it is, I’m staying with you, okay?”
She smiled softly, touched by your words. She kissed your lips and stayed close to them after pulling away.
“I appreciate it, but I don’t want you to get hurt…”
“I’ll be okay, I promise” you replied immediately, kissing her again
She hummed and kissed your forehead before going back to preparing dinner while saying:
“Your pan is overflowing, baby”
You quickly turned back to it and took it off the stove.
“You could’ve told me earlier!” you whisper-shouted
Sam chuckled.
“Sorry, I preferred kissing you”
You rolled your eyes with a smile, grabbing a sponge to wipe the water off the stove.
Suddenly, you heard noises coming from Quinn’s room. Not that it was unusual, but this time it didn’t sound like moans. Rather muffled screams.
You looked at Sam, then at the others, who apparently heard it too.
You walked a bit closer to her room.
“Quinn? Everything alright?”
No answer.
The noises in the room became slightly louder; you could hear fight noises now, as if someone was thrown against a wall, or the pieces of furniture were thrown across the room.
“Shit”
You tried to go in the room but Tara and Sam held you back.
“Y/n, no!” Tara said, holding your hand tightly
Sam agreed, her arm in front of you.
“Whatever is happening it does not sound good! We can’t-” you paused; the noises had stopped “Why did it stop?”
You looked at the others, fear rising.
The door burst opened, taking you all by surprise, and a bloodied Quinn was thrown forward, falling on Anika. You tried to help her up, but were dragged away by Tara, allowing you to dodge Ghostface’s knife.
She started running to the door, hand still holding yours. You were almost at the door when you were pulled backwards by your hair, causing you to let go of Tara’s hand.
“Y/n!”
She took a step closer to you.
“No! Go, Tara!”
She looked at you hesitantly, not wanting to leave you in that situation. Ghostface didn’t let her more time to think and kicked the door closed before slamming your head against it. You swore you heard your nose crack.
When the grip on your hair loosened, you fell on the floor. You felt dizzy, the world was spinning around you.
You felt someone lift you up and carry you for a few seconds. Things were all blurry around, and when your senses came back to normal, you saw blood all over the room.
“Shit…”
Anika was next to you, bleeding. Sam, Mindy and Chad were trying to push Quinn’s cupboard against the door leading to the bathroom.
Ghostface was banging against the door, to the point it was shaking. It was clear it wouldn’t last long.
“It’s not going to last! We need to find a way to get out of here!” Chad said
You silently agreed. Having regained your composure, you ripped off a part of Quinn’s sheets and tried to tie it around Anika to slow down the bleeding.
Mindy let her brother and Sam holding the door and took a look at the window.
“If we tie the sheets we could escape by the window!” she said
“Or we could just open the other door and flee the apartment” you whispered loud enough only for your friends to hear
They all look at you with wide eyes.
“That’s… that’s actually a good idea”
“Thanks Chad. Now we might want to hurry up, quietly”
"Wait, who goes first?" Chad asked
"Anika. Then Mindy, Sam and you"
"No no no, you go before me. You're hurt." Sam declared
"I'm fine, I promise. Trust me, okay?"
She didn't move, hesitant, before nodding reluctantly.
You gave Anika and Mindy a nod, signal for them to go and open the door as quietly as they could. They did and walked to the apartment door, which they opened as well. Chad followed them soon after they left you field of vision.
You were now alone with Sam, trying to keep Ghostface busy with the bathroom door.
"Go!" you whispered to your girlfriend
She gave you an unsure look; the door was going to break soon, and she didn't want you to die.
"Sam, go! I'll be right behind you, I promise" you reassured her quietly
She finally nodded and walked to the door.
Almost as soon as she left, Ghostface managed to kick the door open, causing you to stumble away due to the shock. He was soon on you again, pushing you on the floor, and tried to stab you.
You didn't have time to think and protected yourself with your left hand. You felt the blade sink right through it.
You thought it was over. You were going to die there. There was no way you could defend yourself, not when every fast movement made your head spin.
Luckily, Sam hadn't gone too far already, and came to rescue you. She slammed the knife stand on his head as violently as she could and kicked him in the face too.
That seemed to work, because Ghostface was on the floor, trying to regain composure.
Sam didn't lose any second and lifted you up before carrying you out of the apartment and down to the street. When you got down there, everyone was here.
An ambulance didn't take long to arrive.
They took care of Anika first, as she was the most hurt of the group. Then they checked your forehead, opened due to your head being slammed against the door, and bandaged up your hand after stitching it up.
While the police what interrogating Sam, Tara came to you.
"How are you feeling?" she asked quietly
It was obvious she felt guilty for letting you in while she was safe outside.
"I'm okay, it's nothing too serious, don't worry" you reassured her She hesitated for a minute, before hugging you tightly.
"I was so scared... A-after the door closed I- I tried to go back inside but.." she sniffled "If I were there maybe I could’ve protected you…”
"Hey.." you hugged her back as best as you could "I'm okay, I promise"
"But your head, a-and your hand...
You rubbed your forehead.
"That's nothing. And that..." you looked at your wounded hand "Hey, we're twinning now!"
Your words caught her by surprise but caused her to chuckle slightly.
"Yeah, we're twinning now" she said with a little smile
After that, Anika stayed at the hospital. Mindy was chosen to keep her company and protect her -just in case. Gale and Kirby joined your little group, as did detective Bailey -Quinn's dad- and Ethan, who 'had e-con' when Ghostface attacked the apartment. He wasn't really convincing though... maybe he was the one who attacked you.
Thanks to Gale's help, you discovered a shrine dedicated to Ghostface and the previous Woodsboro murders. The one who did that clearly was obsessed with everything Ghostface related.
After that, Kirby 'kicked' Gale out of the group -saying it was not a place for a journalist-causing her to get attacked at her apartment. You were all afraid another original was about to die, and you hoped she would be okay.
After Gale's attack, you tried to elaborate a plan to kill Ghostface, and decided to lure him into the shrine, lock him in, and kill him.
"We should go there using the train" someone said
It was a terrible idea. There were so many people. Too many people.
You got separated from the rest of the group almost immediately. Luckily -or not- Ethan was with you. You took out your phone and texted Sam to tell her you had to take the next train.
Surprisingly, nothing bad happened on the way to the shrine. It was even a bit odd, considering it was a perfect occasion to attack Ethan and you.
You were almost at the shrine's door when you felt something hit the back of your head violently.
You knew it was going too well to last.
When you opened your eyes, you were inside the shrine, tied up.
“Ah, great, you’re awake. Perfect timing, really”
You turned around to see detective Bailey coming towards you.
“W-wait Ghostface, he-” you started, before being cut off
“I know, I know” the man said as he lifted you up and led you to the main room of the shrine.
When you got there, you saw Sam and Tara being held hostages by two people; Ethan -as you could have predicted- and…
“Quinn?”
“Hey pretty girl” she smirked and waved at you, knife in hand
You were completely lost; she was supposed to be dead!
In your confusion, you noticed Chad was nowhere to be found, and so was Kirby. You hoped they were safe.
“Enough talking.” Detective Bailey declared, pressing his knife against your throat “Now Y/n… I’ve been told you had trouble making choices”
Quinn winked at you.
“I figured you might want some help” she said
“It’s just a little plus to what we planned” Ethan added
“What? What are you talking about?” you asked
“Let me explain simply” the older man started. He pointed at Sam and Tara. “You get to choose who lives, and who dies”
Your eyes widened at his words.
What…?
You looked over at Sam, held by Quinn, knife dangerously close to her throat, then at Tara, whom Ethan was keeping still, also threatening her.
“So, Y/n? What do you decide?” the redhead asked
“Fuck you” you spat
“I’d rather fuck you, honestly” she smirked “If you knew how many times I’ve wanted to just pin you against a wall and fuck you right there, I-”
She didn’t have time to finish her sentence, as Sam threw her head back, hitting the other girl right in the face. Taken aback, she let her guard down, which allowed your girlfriend to take the knife from her hand.
Next to them, Tara managed to kick Ethan where it hurts, and tried to take his knife as well.
If Bailey was surprised by all that sudden action, he didn’t show any sign of it. Instead, he plunged his knife right in your stomach.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you” he told the girls, who were about to stab the two other Ghostface
They turned to look in your direction and stopped all movements. They were hesitant now.
“Drop your weapons, now.” the man said
As they weren’t moving, considering all the possibilities, he twisted the knife to the side, making you whimper in pain and spit out some blood.
“Okay okay, stop!” Sam said, almost pleading him to stop hurting you
“You know what to do if you want me to stop”
He punctuated his words with another twist of the knife in your stomach.
Sam dropped the knife, and so did Tara.
As Quinn and Ethan bent down to grab their weapons again, a gunshot was heard and Bailey’s legs seemed to get weak. You took the opportunity to escape his grip.
Sam kicked Quinn in the face as she was still bent over, probably breaking her nose in the process -and maybe even a few teeth. Tara was quicker than Ethan to grab the knife, but slower to get back up. He grabbed her by the throat and tried to choke her, laughing like a psycho. The smaller girl had trouble moving.
Her sister was busy fighting Quinn, so you were the one to help her.
You took the knife from her hand and stabbed Ethan in the mouth.
“Don’t. Fucking. Touch her.” you said as you twisted the blade in his mouth, before pulling it out, letting his body fall to the floor
You turned to Tara.
“Are you okay…?”
She nodded, and was quick to hold you when she saw you stumbling.
“Are you okay? You’re bleeding a lot…”
She was worried, and afraid you were losing too much blood.
Sam soon arrived next to you, as concerned as her sister.
“Tara, please, can you try to slow down the bleeding?” she asked her
The youngest nodded.
“What are you going to do?” she asked her sister
Sam turned to where Bailey was, starting to stand up while holding his bleeding leg.
“Take care of him.” She said with a stern, cold voice
Tara led you away from the fights and took care of you. You were barely conscious at this point.
You didn’t see Sam and Kirby close to Bailey. You didn’t hear Kirby tell Sam she would just shoot him and it will be over. You didn’t hear Sam deny her, and stab the man at least 30 times, punctuated each stab with cold words, filled with venom.
She was so mad he hurt you. She was enraged. No one had the right to hurt you. No one had the right to even lay a finger on you.
<><><><> ♡ <><><><>
Months after this day, everything was back to normal; you were happy with Sam, and Tara had moved on. She even had her eye on someone.
Your wounds were healed, and the only remaining thing of them were scars. As you thought, you now had a matching scar with Tara, on your left hand. And just like her you had to train your hand everyday so you could use it properly again. Some nerves were cut when the blade went through your hand, which wasn’t the best thing.
But let’s see the positive: it gave you an opportunity to spend more time with Tara and bound together over something, even if it wasn’t the thing you would’ve imagined.
You braided each other’s hair every day, and you were regaining more and more control over your hand. It was like before, just you and your best friend.
Sam’s relation with her sister also improved after the events. They took time to talk, to really talk and listen to each other.
To say it briefly, you were back to an almost normal life, and you hoped it would last.

general eyeless jack headcanons
Tumblr media
ik i literally just said this will be an exclusively ticci toby blog but u guys get one (1) ej post as a treat bc i have a biiiiig phat crush on him
Tumblr media
- he has a strong distaste for his given name. constantly being referred to as "eyeless" just feels like twisting the knife. so, he really appreciates it when people shorten it to ej. he prefers to just be called jack, though.
- he has black blood. does that subsequently mean his blush would be black?? idk i’m thinking maybe it shows up on his skin as like a dark bluish-purple, kinda like a bruise but… he’s blushing.
- he's got a nice set of large, pointed teeth. when he speaks those chompers are on FULL display, so if he happens to have his mask off, he’ll mumble to try to keep them as concealed as he can.
- what used to be fingernails are now blackened, talon-like claws, which will rip through everything if he isn’t careful. with enough concentration, he can keep them folded down to make them less obtrusive, at least enough to get dressed without making his clothes all… holey.
- that being said… he has no control over his claws when he’s asleep. his sheets are absolutely shredded, pillowcases torn through. they’re also perpetually stained with his eye goop. he's learned to just not bother with patching up his sheets anymore.
- he is LARGE. he is a LARGE MANTHING. he's 8'2 and well aware that he towers over most because people won't shut the fuck up about it. he's also just stocky, with big burly shoulders and enormous hands and man he is just BIG.
- despite his size, he moves quietly and swiftly. he carries himself like he's much smaller than he actually is.
- he isn't really aware of his own strength — he still surprises himself with the damage that he can unintentionally administer. he finds himself having to make a conscious effort to hold back.
- he's completely blind. the way that he “sees” is similar to snakes — utilizing infrared sensors which lie somewhere in those eye sockets of his (eldritch being rules it doesn’t have to make sense), he can sense the heat given off by objects in his environment. this becomes especially useful when tracking down potential victims. somewhere along the line, he learned or “evolved” to use echolocation as well, gaining the ability to make the same sonar clicks that bats do to make their way through the world. these can’t be heard by human ears, but if you’re close enough, they can be felt in your teeth.
- also similar to snakes, he’s cold-blooded. just absolutely cold to the touch. he wears warm clothes all year round, even in summer. he should be sweltering in multiple layers in the middle of june, but really, he’s just fine.
- his senses have all evolved to compensate for his lack of sight. most sensitive of all, though, are his ears. he can identify individual footsteps from miles away. this makes it near impossible to get away with muttering something under your breath. even from across the entire house, he’d be able to hear what you said. (i am aware actual blind people don't have superhuman abilities i just think this is the way it'd present in an enigmatic being)
- his skin is thick, sort of like a rhino's. bullets essentially ricochet off of him, blades snap... this, however, doesn't make him invincible. high frequencies are a surefire way of disabling him.
- he feels hunger much more intensely than any normal person does. when he goes too long without eating he'll become rabid, driven by instinct alone. at that point, he isn’t himself anymore. his body isn’t his.
- in this condition, he'll take on more bestial qualities, sprouting (larger) claws, a second row of teeth, additional tongues... he also exhibits heightened strength, speed, and agility. he'll behave more like an animal than anything else, tunnel vision pointing to only one thing: eat. he does everything in his power to keep this at bay, because in the past… incidents have occurred. let’s just say you wouldn’t want to be caught in the same forest with that thing prowling around. he hates to hurt others when he doesn’t mean/need to, especially since all he can do in those moments is helplessly watch behind the eyes of something that isn’t him.
- he really isn't a killer. although he's lacking in the sympathy department, he has the ability to put himself in the shoes of others and feel what they feel, which is his biggest weakness — as you can probably imagine, being an empath isn't so convenient when you have to kill to survive. often, he feels the pain of those who have the misfortune of ending up beneath his scalpel. beneath his hands. he’s aware that he’s taking that person away from someone, and it hurts him. he just powers through.
- he couldn't eat human food even if he wanted to, and believe me, he wants to. it's just that, if he even makes an attempt, his body flat-out rejects and regurgitates it. think that one tokyo ghoul scene... basically like that. he seems to be able to ingest coffee and tea just fine, though. earl grey is his favorite. on rainy days, his favorite thing to do is brew a cup and sit on the steps to the front porch, listening to the drops plinking off puddles.
- he doesn't particularly like for anybody to see his face. would rather keep it to himself. he's not exactly sure what he looks like, but he can take an educated guess that it isn't pretty. he'll usually just keep his mask on when he's around others, only taking it off if it ever happens to be absolutely necessary. if someone were to take his mask from him, that’d probably be the closest he could get to his rabid state without fully submitting to it.
- when he’s angry (which seldom happens) the tar in his eyes seems to boil and pop, kind of like hot oil in a pan. if it happened to get on you, it’d fucking burn and begin to dissolve right through your skin in the same way acid would. stay out of the splash zone ig.
- he can cry, but the way it presents is similar to ghibli tears — thick, messy glops of black that stain his skin, clothes, and whatever else they happen to spill onto.
- he doesn't just eat kidneys, he tries to make use of the entire body. it’s the least he can do. he doesn’t want to just throw the rest out like it’s trash. even when they’re dead, dissected, splayed out, closer to meat than human, he tries to respect his victims. they were people once, too. just like him.
- he also tries to make harvesting from his victims as easy of a process as possible, for the both of them. he injects them with anesthesia, enough to kill, then uses surgical tools to make the job as quick and clean as possible. no screams. no thrashing. easy.
- he can't remember much of his past life. most of what he can recall are just bits and pieces of out-of-place memories, puzzle pieces that don’t quite fit together no matter how hard he tries to make them. however, the one thing he was able to definitively grasp was his affinity for physiology, human anatomy, and surgery. because of this, he held onto it fucking tightly and devoted himself to it — just so he wouldn’t forget it, too.
- before, he was going to college to become a general surgeon. in fact, he was just about to move on to med school. now he's essentially the mansion's resident surgeon/doctor, and he does his job quite well given that he doesn’t have the resources most other medical professionals have at their disposal.
- he's especially interested in the medicinal qualities of plants. often, he'll go on nature walks in search of herbs that he can put to good use. he uses what he finds to make ointments and medicines and such, often utilizing his own resources in his procedures. in his room is a little garden of his own in the form of pots hanging from the ceiling, holding plants that he meticulously tends to with GREAT precision and care. he'd never trust anyone else to take care of them for him, not even for a day.
- he cannot stand disorganization, it drives him fucking insane. everything has to have a place, and everything has to stay in its place; it becomes difficult for him to find things, otherwise.
- if he can't rely on his sight, then he figures he can at least rely on his memory — it’s why he marks the position of his furniture and such with tape so that if anyone does happen to move something, they can at least put it back exactly where it was.
- messy people get on his nerves. leaving stuff in random places and on the floor is just incredibly inconvenient for him. he's tripped because of people's misplaced laundry and stuff.
- he's a man of few words and lacking in expression. often, a tilt of the head is the most he will react with. when he does speak, his voice is deep, so deep that it seems to vibrate. he keeps his voice soft and quiet, though, as if he's afraid of being too loud. and he is.
- since he doesn't speak much, he empties his thoughts into a journal. he'll write about anything: how his day was, what he did, how he feels, what all had happened in his surgery that day, the things he'd observed... although, if you look through it, ramshackle scraggles that almost resemble words litter the pages. he thinks he's writing words, and will continue to do so until it gets pointed out to him.
- a gentle giant. he's incredibly composed and docile, qualities that betray his physical attributes. he isn't "friendly", per se, but he tries to stay far away from hostility when it isn't needed.
- he has an overbearing need for control. he hates the thought that fate could rip everything out from underneath him whenever it pleases. it happened to him once before. he won’t let it happen again.
- he displays an... almost catlike vigilance. the slightest noise is enough to make his head snap towards the source. it's incredibly difficult to sneak up on him, especially since he hardly ever allows himself to drop his guard. he doesn’t like to be at the mercy of anyone or anything. a lot of his mental energy is put towards preventing bad things from happening to him.
- he can purr .

instead of you [part fifty-six]
pairing: [best friend’s brother] tom holland x college!reader
summary: you didn’t expect to spend your summer pretending to be your best friend’s girlfriend- then again, you didn’t expect to fall for your best friend’s brother, either.
warnings: swearing, angst, continued smut (18+)
word count: 2k
series masterlist + read the next chapter early on ko-fi!!
“Tom, what if we get caught?” you whispered, panting in his ear.
It was hard to think straight while sitting on his dick but fragments of worries still bounced around in the back of your mind, vague reminders that what you were doing was illegal. It wasn’t as if you were some kind of saint, but you weren’t trying to get yourself on a registered sex offender list- especially not in Hawai’i of all places.
“We won’t,” he assured you, “anyone who sees us will just think we’re cuddling.”
“Anyone with common sense will know exactly what we’re doing,” you muttered back.
“Do you want to stop?”
Tom held you still on top of him, fingers digging into your hips to stop you from moving. You didn’t answer right away.
“Baby?” he prompted, squeezing you tighter.
The pet name startled you back into the present moment, making you stare down at Tom, blinking at him in surprise. He chuckled and freed one of his hands to rub your lower back under the hem of your shirt.
“I don’t want to stop,” you confessed. “But if we get caught, I’m killing you.”
“If we get caught, my career is over,” he corrected, reminding you that there were more important things for him to worry about than yourself.
You always managed to forget that Tom was famous. Not even just famous, he was a fucking household name. If he were to get in trouble for something like this it would make international news. And Sam’s parents would find out. Logically, you knew that his family finding out paled in comparison to the entire world finding out, but the first possibility was more daunting to you. Still, the idea of going viral for fucking Spider-Man on the beach was not something you wanted for yourself.
“Maybe we shouldn’t then-” you said and started to lift yourself off of him.
“I want to,” Tom assured you. “But I don’t want you not to enjoy yourself because you’re worried about someone seeing. We can take this back to the car if you want, or the hotel, or we can be done for the night.”
You slumped forward, resting against his chest and letting him hold you. You didn’t want to cut it short but you knew you wouldn’t be able to fully relax if you were thinking about every worst case scenario possible.
“Can we go back to the hotel?”
He nodded. “Of course we can.”
“I’m sorry.”
“No, none of that. Don’t be sorry. I want you to be comfortable, yeah? The whole point of sex is to enjoy it.”
You nodded in agreement even though you still felt a little guilty. Tom stood and then helped you to your feet. He gathered up the blanket you’d been sitting on and shook it off. He handed you one side of the blanket and kept hold of the other so that you could fold it nicely.
“Where’d you even get this from?” you asked.
“What, the blanket?”
“Yeah, have you been carrying that around in your luggage this whole time?”
“No, I took it from the couch in my hotel room.”
“Tom!”
“What? I’m going to put it back!”
“It’s all dirty now, though.”
“I’ll wash it,” he assured you. “There are a lot of laundromats around here. Now come on, let’s head back before it gets too late.”
You furrowed your eyebrows at him in confusion. “How do you know that? Do you keep a running tab of every laundromat you come across?”
He led you by the hand back up the beach to the pathway to the parking lot, turning his head ever so slightly when he answered you so that you could hear him. “No, I just pay attention.”
“Shocking.”
Tom turned away from you again but you could see him shaking his head. You assumed he was also rolling his eyes at you.
He threw the blanket in the trunk once you reached the car, and climbed back into the driver’s seat.
“I don’t suppose you want to take the wheel this time?” he asked after you had already buckled your seatbelt. “Since you do have an American driver’s license?”
You gave him a look. “Yeah, but it’s illegal for me to drive this car since I’m not listed on the rental paperwork as a driver.”
“You think we’ll get pulled over?”
“We might! I’m also not old enough, remember?”
He grinned as he put the car in reverse “I know. I was just kidding.”
“Rubbing it in my face again?”
“Of course.”
The drive back to the resort was comfortable. Tom pointed out every single laundromat you passed, even after you told him he’d made his point and didn’t have to keep doing so. You were the one to reach for his hand this time, threading your fingers between his without hesitation. He smiled to himself when you did that and squeezed your hand affectionately, something that did not go unnoticed by you.
The spot in the hotel parking lot the two of you had left earlier was still open when you returned. Apparently no one else liked to be out late, even on vacation.
You let go of Tom’s hand to get out of the car and didn’t grab it again as you walked into the lobby.
“Are you tired?” Tom asked once you reached the elevators. You knew the question he was actually asking was whether or not you were too tired to go upstairs with him. This was just his not so subtle way of asking.
“I was tired when you dragged me out of bed but I’m too horny to sleep now.”
He grinned. “My room, then?”
“No, let’s fuck in my room,” you said sarcastically. “I’m sure your brother would love that.”
“Hilarious.”
“Thank you.”
The bell on the elevator dinged, announcing its arrival and you shuffled in together. Tom placed a hand on the small of your back and leaned forward to press the button for the eleventh floor, settling back against the wall next to you once it lit up and started to ascend.
He dropped his hand again when the elevator reached his floor. You missed the warmth instantly. You knew the little things like that shouldn’t hurt your feelings. You weren’t a couple. He was too recognizable to be seen with anyone and have it not cause a fuss. Still, you found yourself wishing things could be different. It stung, even though it shouldn’t.
Tom stopped in front of what you assumed to be his door and fished in his pocket for the room key. He waved the card in front of the sensor, the electronic lock blinking green on the first try.
The room was dark, but Tom turned the entryway light on so that you were able to see into the space. His room was nearly identical to you and Sam’s. The only difference was that the bed was against the opposite wall.
“You’re not sharing with Harry this time?” you asked at the realization that there was only one bed instead of two.
“Our parents wanted us to, but we were getting pretty sick of each other so we decided to split the cost of an extra room.”
“Uh-huh, and it had nothing to do with this?” You gestured in between the two of you to emphasize the ‘this’ you were referring to.
“No, no, not at all!” Tom insisted, hand to his heart. “I promise, I didn’t bring you out to the beach just so we could have sex. I didn’t expect for us to- I just wanted to talk.”
Your mind went back to the moment where Tom had seemed lost in thought, like he wanted to say something important and then decided against it at the last minute. Was that what he meant? Or were you reading too much into it?
“I meant to tell you earlier,” he continued, “I didn’t want you to think that.”
“Oh okay,” you said, mostly because you weren’t sure what else to say. “It’s not a big deal if that was why you wanted to go somewhere. It’s not like we really do anything other than hook up anyway.”
“Not because I don’t want to! It’s just, it’s not like we can do normal couple stuff.”
“You’d... want to do that with me?”
He quirked an eyebrow at you. “Yeah? Why wouldn’t I?”
Instead of choosing to address that, you pivoted. “Um, do you mind if I rinse off before we do anything else?”
Tom didn’t answer right away. He stood there staring at you with a look of concern on his face, bottom lip pulled in between his teeth as he tried to discern your sudden change in mood. “No, of course I don’t mind. But... are you okay? Did I say something wrong?”
You shook him off and lied. “No. I just feel gross from the beach. Did you want to join me or not?”
-
“Is this really necessary?” you grumbled, glaring at Sam as he rifled through the items on the rack.
“Yes!” he exclaimed.
The boys were going golfing, and being the good fake girlfriend you were, you had no other choice but to tag along. You wouldn’t be playing, thank god, but you had to cheer Sam on, and apparently had to dress the part to do so. You didn’t have anything suitable for the golf course so Nikki had suggested Sam take you downstairs to the gift shop to find something to wear.
The resort you were staying at was right across from the course so the gift shop was full of golf novelties and athletic wear for your... convenience.
“These are expensive!” you hissed at Sam once you checked the prices.
“You’re not the one paying for them,” he reminded you.
“I know, that’s worse!”
“You know how much he makes right? Besides, I’m sure your real boyfriend will love it on you.”
“He’s not my boyfriend, you know that.”
Sam looked annoyed. “Boyfriend, fuck buddy, booty call, sneaky link- whatever you want to call him.”
“Can we not talk about this?” you practically begged. “At least not here?”
He shrugged but dropped it. “You should get the polo and the skirt. It matches what I’m going to wear.”
You took Sam’s advice and bought the items he suggested, paying for them with your own money. Even though they were pricey and you knew you would likely never wear them again, you wanted to exercise at least a little bit of financial freedom. You already felt guilty for the money the Hollands had spent on you thus far.
You thought about keeping the tags on the clothes and then returning them later, but it was hot out today and you knew you’d just sweat right through them.
Sam did buy you a little visor without you knowing. He presented it to you with a smug grin as soon as you stepped foot outside the gift shop, once it was too late to stop him. It was embroidered with a little cartoon quokka on the brim.
“We’re not in Australia,” you said, blinking down at the hat.
“Yeah, but it’s cute, right?”
“It’s really cute,” you quickly agreed. “Thank you.”
“Just thought you’d like it.”
He handed you the hat and then set off ahead of you back towards the elevators. You shook your head and scoffed out of earshot. You couldn’t figure him out. Last night he had made it clear that he wasn’t ready to talk, wasn’t ready to forgive you, and this morning he was talking to you like nothing had happened and buying you a sun visor because he saw it and thought you would like it? His mixed signals would give you a headache if you thought about them too long, but it was impossible not to. It was all you could think about. He was all you could think about. Well, him and Tom.
You felt like an underdeveloped main character in a low-budget coming of age movie who only had enough brainpower to think about boys. Fucking exhausting, all of it. But what were you supposed to do?
i think i might do away with my taglist since it's been so long... idk if everyone's still interested you know ;-; anyway lmk what you think i always appreciate feedback!!

Witchy AU: Tony/Everyone
Everyone's loving witches! Especially me.
Tony is one of the most powerful witches on the east coast. He's also without a coven, which puts him in a very delicate situation where he can't tell if people are kind to him because they're nice or if they're trying to sway him toward their own coven. He knows it will get worse as soon as he turns thirty, when he can no longer hide behind the thirteen years of mourning that comes with being orphaned by his own coven. He knows he's part of the reason they're champing at the bit to get him in their ranks--most Endlings mourned for a few years and then fell into the open arms of their favored coven, wanting the safety of a large group. Tony is really the only one who has actively avoided joining a new coven that he's ever known of. He doesn't want to lose his heritage, is the thing. To enter into a new coven, he'll have to give up his family's legacy, his last name and take their own, and yes--he doesn't want to give up his family's money, either. Call him greedy. He doesn't care. His mother didn't hit the docks with nothing but a suitcase of clothes to her name, and Howard didn't start his business from the ground up by himself, to have it taken away from their child. But he has nothing but his money and powers to bargain with, and that's exactly what everyone wants. So when hears about a coven made up of other Endlings, who have banded together specifically so that they don't have to give up anything, sure, he's a little desperate when he goes to them and offers them free use of his mansion and an allowance from his fortune so long as he gets to keep his name and legacy. "How big is the allowance?" a guy with blond hair asks, and then gets elbowed swiftly in the gut. "I dunno, like five grand?" Tony says, shrugging. "A year? Kinda stingy," the woman who elbowed him says, narrowing her eyes at him. "...A month," Tony corrects, trying not to sound snide and failing. The Avengers agree. And then collectively lose their shit when they realize he meant five grand for each of them every month.
The Avengers move in. Tony doesn't see them, though. He thinks they might be avoiding him? He once found a hot cup of coffee still sitting on the table. He'd puttered around for a few minutes to see if the owner would come back, but they hadn't, so he'd simply taken it to his workshop with him. He's not sure if this is normal? Tony had rarely seen his father before he died, and while he'd seen his mother a little more, she'd always been busy. Maybe this is just how covens work--meeting up only when necessary, and only as long as it took to come to a consensus. But maybe he shouldn't have assumed that, Tony thinks, blinking at the rest of the Avengers, holding a cauldron of inert sleeping potion and wearing nothing but a red thong. "...Oh," Steve finally squeaks. "Tony," Bruce says pleasantly when no one else moves to speak. "Why are you naked?" Tony blinks again. "Better results when I can absorb more moonlight. And I'm not naked." Everyone looks down, then back up very quickly, blushing. Even Natasha has turned vaguely pink. "Naked adjacent," Sam says after clearing his throat. Clint squints skeptically. "Does that really help?" "Well," Tony begins, and then the moon comes out from behind the clouds, and it hits his cauldron. The cauldron sparks, sparkles, then exudes a billowing of steam. Tony inhales some and promptly passes out.
Apparently, everyone was avoiding Tony because they thought he wanted space. Why else would he duck other more established covens to join their ragtag group? Most of them hadn't even had a coven to teach them their powers. He was the one they were taking cues from on how to be a normal coven. "D...don't do that," Tony says, stunned. He doesn't know what a normal coven looks like, because even his own had felt wrong to him. It was another reason he'd been scared of joining one of the established families--he wouldn't know what was normal and was terrified they'd take advantage of him. "Yeah, we figured that out," Steve says, rubbing the back of his head and looking anywhere but at him. Tony looks down at the blanket they've covered him with, then squints back up at Steve skeptically. He's covered. "He's an Artist," Bucky explains, clapping Steve on the shoulder hard enough the blond grimaces. "He's already got your body memorized and I'm sure we're going to find one of his moving portraits in the studio--" "Goodbye, Bucky," Steve says, solemn, and then clotheslines him. Tony watches them wrestle for a moment, then turns his squint on the rest of the coven. "Is this normal?" "Eh," Clint replies, shrugging, as Sam puts his face in his hands with a sigh and Natasha and Bruce watch to make sure they don't actually kill each other. "Well, get used to me walking around in a state of undress," Tony retorts. "Clothes feel bad when I do magic." "Oh no," Natasha deadpans. "However will we cope. I hope Steve plasters moving portraits of your bare ass all over the mansion." "You can see it any time you want," Tony answers snidely. "I'm easy."
Now that they know they're welcome, the rest of the Avengers are happy to seek him out to chat. Tony has no idea how they've survived this long. Steve's magic fluctuates wildly, and Bucky's sometimes dims to an ember. Bruce's is based in alchemy, and he rarely practices it safely. Natasha and Clint are secretive about what, exactly, their magic can do, but Tony has noticed more spiders in the corners of the room, watching from their webs and not moving. (He doesn't ask about them). Sam seems to be the only one who has any idea what he's doing, and it turns out the only reason he left his family coven is because he had a trauma that snapped his family ties. He's working on rebuilding them, though. "You're the only normal person here," Tony tells him. "Yeah, I figured that out quickly," Sam deadpans, and then, "Can I keep a falcon?" Tony tips his head and tries not to squint at him. Natasha had told him it looked more judgemental than he meant it to. "It's your house too. Just make sure it meets all specifications, get the permits. Err on the side of too much." "How am I supposed to get permits," Sam asks. "Every time I try they tell me the queue is backed up with years' worth of requests." Tony can't help finally squinting at him with all the judgement he can muster. "You're not a coven of Endlings now, Sam. You joined with the Stark Coven. The name means something to people. And by something it means curses." Sam opens his mouth, but nothing comes out. "Did your parents curse people?" Natasha asks, turning from her book. It's the most intrigued she's ever looked. "Not that anyone can prove," Tony replies, and then doesn't say anything else about it, even when everyone pesters him. Sam tries to punish him by getting chickens, quails, and geese, but it backfires because Tony loves chickens.
"Hey, do you know anyone who wouldn't mind fucking me during the waning gibbous?" Tony asks at dinner, ignorant of the way everyone else either spews their beverage or coughs on food. "It's one of the steps for a spell I'm trying out." "ME," Steve bellows, slamming his hands down on the table as he stands up. Tony blinks at him, stunned. Then he blinks at Clint as he lunges across the table to tackle him with a snarl. Then at Bucky trying to leap at him, except Sam gets in his way. He turns and looks at Natasha and Bruce, who are still eating, casual, as if the rest of their coven are not engaging in fisticuffs. "Sex doesn't do anything for me," Bruce says with a shrug, not looking up from his food. Natasha glances at him, then looks up properly, frowning. "Wait, do I count?" "Are you against pegging?" Tony asks frankly. Natasha stares at him for a moment, then stands up, knife gripped tight in her hand. "Look what you've done," Bruce sighs when she lunges at Sam and Bucky and they promptly start screaming in terror. Tony isn't sorry, even if his mouth has dropped open in shock.

Sorry to send another ask so soon (and idk if someones asked this already) but if you have any headcanons for Jon I'd love to hear them!
OK SO im really sorry it took me THIS long to get to this i quite literally.. forgot i had smth in my inbox woopsies. the reason i remembered is cause mootie posted some Spine hcs and i was like "woah"
alsooo im not good at putting my thoughts onto "paper" especially in english so you will have to excuse me
anywho my jon headcanons some sad some random /ref
First of all i think that his relationship with Peter Walter I would be far from close. he would be seen as the type of child who's both "too much mess to take care of" and "strong enough to take care of himself" if that makes sense. Peter did love him as his creation but would openly admit that he's not his proudest one, meanwhile Jon wouldn't feel much connection at all. he sympathized with his creator but only in a way he would with any other human being, there was more gratitude than love
Jon struggles with constant malfunctions and his mechanisms are a mess (partially because he gets himself in trouble all the time), so at one point Peter would get tired of fixing him so frequently, and tell him that he can just "walk some things off". That thought stuck to the bot and he would think of all of his malfunctions as slight inconveniences, i mean, he can still perform so why pay attention to the constant neck pain or powering up struggles ? it just became a habit and he kind of forgot that things like that shouldn't be ignored
After a long while when Peter Walter VI grew up enough to start learning more about how automatons work, Jon would be used as a "lab rat" (not really but its just what he himself called it) for young VI to practice fixing mechanisms. thats pretty much when he heard "Wait this cant be right" about his messed up physical state for the first time in a long while. little Peter didnt get to fix all of the things that were wrong with Jon's body, but he did manage to take care of some of them, which almost surprised Jon with how nice it felt to not hear pieces of broken gears rattle in his head every time he moved (who wouldve thunk)
ok now to more lighthearted stuff !!
Jon actually has a very strong bond with Sam ! He loves watching the mustached man work and sometimes follows him around, just enjoying his company. At first Sam thought that the tone-gold automaton was creepy and uncanny, but grew attached to him and his stupidity (/lh). i also think that Sam would be one of the few Walter workers who dont baby the Jon and actually treat him like they would treat any other robot :3
Also Jon just loves his robot family endlessly. shocker !! im not sure how explain it but i think hes the only one to look at other Walter automatons and go "bro i love them so much" at all times. in his head at least. obviously he teases them and argues with them but he wont think twice before accepting a hug from his siblings (except for Upgrade theyre rivals /j)
Speaking of Upgrade !! They feel the most sibling-ish to me (aside from Rabbit & The Spine) because they constantly poke fun at each other yet they still are willing to give each other help and comfort when needed. She once had to carry him all the way back to the Walter manor because they forgot to take some extra cans of crystal pepsi
Also Upgrade got in an accident once which caused her to have a fractured face for a couple of days, and Jon was there the entire time to comfort her and constantly tell her that shes still very pretty
Unlike with other robots, the food that Jon eats doesnt just fall through his uncovered jaw/run into his boiler or anything like this, instead it just. disappears. once he closes his mouth the food just vanishes into the unknown, yet Jon claims that he enjoys the process of "eating" (nobody knows how it works)
LITTLE GIRLS THAT GO TO SPG SHOWS LOVE HIM !! once the band finishes performing, he constantly gets pulled away by a small giggling pink-ish blob to join their tea party or hula hooping contest. thats why he has quite a knowledge on "girly" themes and educates other automatons on the matter
THATS IT FOR NOW TY FOR READING :3

finally, after so long, here is my review of the conjuring series/hell week.
this is EXTREMELY LONG so strap in, grab a drink, and a snack. or, feel free to skip to the end to read my overall thoughts lol
like previous hell weeks, i'm gonna rate each episode and then answer whether or not i would rewatch the episode.
lmk what you guys thought !
Tumblr media
episode one:
the obvious meat and potatoes of this whole video was satori and cody's method, which i'm just gonna refer to as The Method just bc it's easier to say then writing out their names over and over again lol
i'll be honest with you, i'm super glad that snc did their best to debunk the tapping and whatnot. i honestly think that if they hadn't tried, a lot of ppl wouldn't believe them at all or would think that either they're lying, or satori and cody are.
as for the answers that satori and cody gave… it's hard. bc on one hand i truly do believe in psychics and mediums. i myself have experienced readings or things i have done on my own. i have had a lot of things happen to me that just logically don't make sense. i do believe there are ppl that have the ability to talk to the dead. but part of me is weary of satori and cody. idk know them from a hole in the wall. they could have easily researched snc, and their past relatives, and just bullshitted the rest. same thing with their producer. it's not hard to look up someone's ancestry. i would like to believe that isn't the case, but you can't be too sure.
the debunking that snc tried did make a strong case for The Method, especially doing it in random locations that they didn't know about. but again… idk. part of me just felt like i was side-eying the whole time. and look, i want to believe that they have good intentions and they are genuinely contacting something. but again, ppl lie for far less.
but no matter if they were lying or not, i 100% believe snc's reaction to it. it was real for them, and that's all that really matters to me tbh.
i felt really bad for sam, or i guess happy for him but sad that he was crying so much. my theory with him has always been that even tho he has experienced attachments and heard things, seen things, all that jazz - i truly think for the longest time he never fully believed. i think he would rather chalk up a paranormal experience as a group psychosis before saying a place was haunted. but since that probably wouldn't bode well for either of them, he just agreed that what they experienced was "crazy" and moved on like nothing happened. also, i have this general feeling that he doesn't believe his own experiences, which is why he questions ppl like colby when he goes thru something, but i haven't really fleshed out why that could be the case. but i think this was his "come to jesus" moment, so to speak. i mean, he explained it himself that he honestly didn't think there was anything after this life. that once you died, you're gone. so this was both great and terrifying news to hear. not to mention, to hear it from your dead grandmother was definitely surprising for sure. i honestly hope this brought him some closure or comfort. bc i know i always felt really sad growing up that my grandparents, literally all of them, never got to see me graduate high school or college or perform on stage. but i always had a feeling that they watched me do all of that so it's nice to hear that for someone else, that was the case.
granted, The Method could just be bullshit to conjure up an emotional response for views and notoriety… but for now, i'm gonna just take it at face value. sure, it's real. i think what also makes me lean towards that is that cody and satori don't charge ppl for this. it only happens at the conjuring for the most part, so…. unless they start becoming a side-show circus act with a big ticket price, i'm just gonna take them at their word. plus, the random locations snc took them to, unless the boys are in on it (which opens up too many cans of worms), The Method wouldn't have been able to work in these spots or actually have satori and cody come up with real ppl that died there.
i will say tho, it was kinda funny that sam's having this emotional breakdown over hearing his grandmom telling him she's watching over him and his siblings, and then colby's getting his great grandfather coming thru to tell him to tell his parents that he's there lol like…. thanks dude i never met. appreciate the love and support.
overall this episode was fine. it wasn't my favorite of the series, but it wasn't a bad way to start the series. this episode did draw me in enough to want to see the rest, but i was also a little weary of what was to come.
(oh yeah i forgot to add that the new owner… something feels deeply off about her. like i can't put my finger on it, but if it comes out years down the line that she was bringing demons into the house or something, i will not be surprised lol)
rating: 3/5
would i rewatch: yeah i guess, but not fully
~~~~~~~~
episode two:
so going into this episode, i was a bit… not excited, since i knew amanda was going to be in the video. i've always had my reservations with her. mostly, i think she has abilities, i just think she talks them up to be something that they aren't. plus she has made some comments in past videos that just make me look at her sideways bc they don't make a lick of fucking sense (ie queen mary, she talked to a ghost that said he had lived other lives before this one, he was just stuck in this one for some reason, and she literally told snc she didn't believe that bc "reincarnation isn't in the bible" …..BRO, you talk to the dead. maybe not everything in a 2000+ year old book that's been translated 150+ times is gonna be accurate. also again, need i remind you, YOU TALK TO DEAD PPL). as for how i felt about her during this episode, she was fine, i guess. the only time she annoyed me was during the estes method where her and sam were just bouncing off one another in the worse way lol but i'll get more into that later.
i think it was really interesting that they interviewed andrea perron. they need to do that more often: find ppl that used to live in these places that they visit and get their story, instead of just listening to tour guides who amp up the scares just bc they need to. i thought her interview was really intriguing and i can only imagine how horrible it must have been to live in that house all the way back then. and to see your mother get thrown across the room?? idk what i would even do as a kid in that moment.
so the first part of the investigation was with amanda, snc, and cody and satori. (side note, i love that the touch toy for the ghost kids is a basset hound). i think this whole first part was kinda funny only bc in my most cynical mind, it's three fake mediums trying to one up each other the whole time lol
i don't fully believe that, but that's what my mind kept going back to.
i do find it odd that amanda couldn't see her past relatives but The Method was able to allow them to talk. idk, if i could see dead ppl, i think i would be a bit pissed if my loved ones were like "nah, i know you got the vision but i ain't showing myself in front of you". it also doesn't really help her case of what her abilities are or how strong they are if she can't even see ppl she actually once knew.
i also find it odd that all loved ones are apparently able to get across is "watching over __" bc both snc and now amanda got that message. again, to me, this just reads as like someone in this scenario is faking something. idk what, but i just remember laughing at this whole part bc it just felt funny to watch each one try to one up the other and then snc are just like :O the whole time.
and what made this top tier comedy to me was sam asking who wrote amanda's name, and them saying it was a spirit. i'm so sorry…. but you gotta be on fucking CRACK to think that happened. i believe in ghost, the paranormal, the whole enchilada………. but a ghost soldier wrote amanda's name in the sand???? no. sorry. that didn't happened. and you cannot tell me it did lmao
honestly in situations like this, i'm more incline to believe equipment than these, respectfully, quack jobs.
i thought it was sweet that colby kept being really nice to abigail and calling her the matriarch of the house. isn't he just a sweet boy lol
the second half of the day 2 was where i got more interested and into the video. the rempod going off constantly, the camera immediately dying, that little cabinet door opening, all of that in like five minutes is crazy. and then the estes method, while interesting, was also deeply annoying since sam and amanda decided to tag team and do the one thing i hate that they try to do during the estes method - connect everything while the words are still coming out. like CALM DOWN. connect later. it was freaky to see the rempod going off in time with their estes method tho.
the woods session was kinda cool. idk how i feel about the alice box yet. why does it only say some words but the others are just on the little text box? whatever i guess. gonna be honest, woods don't really scare me for paranormal reasons. i'm more inclined to believe i'm gonna get my ass eaten by a bear or stabbed by a human so it wasn't really all that creepy, but it was cool to see this half. and then to have snc sleep in the woods… props. but to be in the woods in august in hoodies was a choice i wouldn't make, personally.
day three josh and seth came and thank GOD there were ppl in this series/episode i actually liked that joined them. their half made the video a lot better. so they start off by doing the ritual, which honestly just felt more like (literally) dancing on someone's grave so…. idk about that one. a bit disrespectful if you ask me. colby literally did the ice spice on her grave… boy i would haunt your ass for eternity for that one lmao
hearing andrea perron speak of that fateful night of her mother being possessed, again, my heart breaks for her. whether you believe in the paranormal or not, something traumatic happened to her and her family. and i just feel for her.
so when they moved on into the investigation, i just gotta say, if they plan to use the spirit box, they NEED to invest in a microphone or a better speaker for that thing bc good god i couldn't hear a single thing that was coming thru. but moving past the spirit box, the door to the library just opening on it's own?? and the camera moving slightly?? that's nuts. bc it's one thing for a draft to open a door. you're talking about the middle of august tho. there's not gonna be strong winds (for the most part) during that time of the year unless it's storming. so if a draft blew the door open, it had to have been a HUGE one to literally push a rock out of the way. and it can't be ac bc then that door would be constantly opening.
when they separated, i get why they did, but like… why do you have to do it in the dark? i would be turning on flashlights or some form of light immediately. you're not about to catching me busting my ass on the stairs of a 300+ year old house lol
josh's sleeve moving was actually kinda freaky, ngl. i know it was very subtle, and technically could have just him moving his arm and then feeling the sleeve pull or relax or whatever, but to me… it looked like something pulled it.
then when snc went in alone, i find it funny to think of a spirit just running up and down the stairs, fucking with the rempod or the motion sensor, just to see them freak out. when sam invited whatever it was up to them, and then it got near the motion thing, and colby noped out of there and literally yelled at sam like "why did you invite it up here with us?!" ngl - favorite part of the whole video. also it was kinda cute that snc tried to do The Method on their own. kinda wish it would have worked for them.
colby doing the whole "imagine being andrea perron" speech he gave…. colby, can you not? also, are you good? lol
okay, so my overall thoughts on this episode - dragged in the beginning, but got good half way thru. they also got some really good evidence outside of The Method, which i would rather they not use every episode (but end up doing regardless).
rating: 3.5/5
would i rewatch: sure, but only the second half
~~~~~~~~
episode three
so the previous episode left off with sam going into the basement late at night, almost looking possessed or something. and while i obviously didn't think that, i did want to know why he would go down there alone for some reason.
but that's for a later point in this review. let's get to the collab they did.
larray and bella…….. omg, i'll just be completely honest: i hated this collab. like genuinely, it takes a lot for me to find ppl insufferable, but larray took the cake this time. bella was fine, she seemed nice and did her best. and i love that me and @xplrvibes literally said "oh i bet they're gonna try to say bella is an empath bc she's a girl bc they do that all the time" and WOULDN'T YOU BELIEVE IT 11 minutes in they asked if she was one. i'm just glad she said no lol but back to larray……. first off, that shirt was a choice. and i'll leave it at that. but secondly, i'm okay with ppl joking is scary situations. i'm okay with them having guests that hear them say something insane and then immediately go "yeah fuck no to that, i'm leaving" or some iteration of that joke. but, larray took it too far. i don't think he said anything else other than "i don't want to be here" ect. and i get he was scared, but GOD, SHUT UP. like i got it the first five times you said it, i don't need to hear it the next 24. it literally took for him to get a message from the beyond to get him to be quiet.
i'll be honest, i don't even want to review this half of the video bc it was SUCH a drag. i remember i wasn't even half way thru and i was like… oh you're joking, we're not done yet? bc that's how annoying that whole section was. it wasn't solely larray, but he definitely exacerbated the problem.
the ring of lights that ppl can cross over, idk about that. it feels like it's fake but whatever. bella having a separate phone just for content… i love that for her lol them going into the basement is cut short only for the fact that we KNOW sam went down there first and colby was none the wiser until like two days later. The Method being done for bella and larray was cool i guess. but then sam getting an extremely private message that he couldn't share, i get that. and i hope that whatever message he got was something he needed to hear (but the way he mouthed "oh no" makes me think otherwise). my only issue is why even use any of the footage from that then? i know it's a bit nitpicky, so i'm not gonna press on it too much.
to the fans on tiktok that were saying "omg what if the message was from corey la barrie"….. please seek professional help. this isn't a fanfic. stop thinking like it is. bc i saw MULTIPLE tiktoks saying that.
but continuing on with The Method, i'll be honest with you: i'm not sure what the afterlife is like or what it entails. but it is hard for me to just blindly accept that it's all good and light and love and whatever random other words satori and cody wanted to throw in there that abigail said. i know it's my cynical mind, but hearing shit like that just makes me roll my eyes. like i know that sounds dark and sad, but that whole thing just made me go like "okay… sure."
maybe it's bc it's too generic. like that's what every form of media has said about the other side for forever. if i was able to get my point across and reach a ton of ppl, i would be sending messages like "god is woman and she sucks at beer pong" or "ice cream is free up here but only on tuesdays" or "guess what? i'm hanging out with EVERYONE'S dogs" not just love and light. boooorrrrriiiinnngggg lol
but i will note something that i thought was interesting only bc i've always had a similar thought process: cody says he doesn't know why they're able to do what they do. he believes it might have had something to do with his cancer complications and dying once. and the reason why i can believe that is i've always had this belief - so, as someone who has attempted to end my own life twice, i've come very close to death. and i think ppl that knock on death's door, you can't just unknock. you can't ding dong ditch death. so i kinda feel like those that get very close to the other side cross a line that can't be uncrossed, so to speak. which i think is also why i had the most paranormal experiences when i was going through some dark times (or had just gone thru them).
what i find peculiar is how the narrative of the basement has changed. before it was dark and demented, something evil lurking around each corner, colby having a full blown panic attack down there. all that, right? but now it's "oh it's just a trickster spirit that likes to cause havoc and is for the most part harmless. and also really would rather you be in the woods." and yet even with that knowledge in mind, everyone was still too freaked out. like if they kept getting cryptic and weird messages i would just be like "find a different trick. you don't scare me" or eventually just leave the basement altogether if nothing was going to be happening besides "come to the woods" over and over again.
but bc snc never listen, they went to woods. and again… woods to me aren't scary for paranormal reasons. more so for bears or humans. but they did get some cool evidence at the graveyard.
i'm just gonna skip that whole thing and get to the part that i want, no - NEED, to talk about which is…. colby standing up for himself when sam told him about the basement.
i was genuinely confused as to why snc weren't mentioning sam going into the basement. like i figured, sam went down there, something happened, and then he told colby. or something to that effect. but to find out that a) he had no real plans of posting this into the vid and b) he waited like two days to finally tell colby it happened…. that's really fucked, ngl. the absolute hurt that was on colby's face is so evident, no wonder sam started backpedaling (but just made it all the more worse). like colby has made it abundantly clear time and time again that he doesn't like being left in the dark about where someone is going/doesn't like being left behind and sam did exactly that. not only that, but he then did something that both him and colby swore they would do together - go to the basement. everyone was waiting to see them go together and experience whatever's down there, but sam took that for himself - like colby said. and then sam tried to justify it with "oh nothing really happened, plus we don't have to show fans, plus i really needed to do it bc everything has been so crazy" and it's like………. WHO DO YOU THINK HAS BEEN ON THIS JOURNEY WITH YOU???? it's colby. while colby might have had some form of belief system before all of this, this whole situation has been insane to him as well. so you don't get to use that as an excuse. and then to say that fans don't need to see this footage, that just feels wrong. bc at the end of the day, the person sam hurt was colby. and regardless of whether or not we would have known about it, colby still would have known. and that's the part that sucks. sam was extremely self-centered for making this decision and then thinking colby would just let it slide.
and i know some of you are gonna probably be up my ass about this opinion since god forbid i give criticism towards sam. but i would have done the same thing if the roles were reversed, especially if sam was upset about it. and god knows there wouldn't have been an argument about including those clips in a video, but i digress. i just think it was messed up of sam to do to that to colby. and i hope bts he apologized profusely.
but to be a bit more light hearted about it… colby looks really hot when he's angry or annoyed. so that's nice, i guess lol it's the clenched jaw and the narrowed eyes, in case you didn't know why you found it hot either. also, he was too calm, and that's hot AND scary lol
i think it's funny to think that if they didn't include sam going there by himself and then this confrontation, we would never know why in the next part colby seemed annoyed/angry and ppl probably would have just blamed the spirits or some shit.
which also did happen…
but to bring it back for a second, you know what the scariest part of this video was for me? the tick on colby's leg. GROSS. disgusting. i would have screamed so loud i'd wake the dead lmao
but anyway the estes methods they did in the basement were very revealing and honestly the best part of the episode imo. them realizing, or believing, that dave is actually the trickster spirit and not some soldier following them around was actually really cool to see unravel. and surprisingly this time around sam jumping to conclusion over and over again paid off well. and then when colby was asking the questions, it was interesting to see his reaction to what was being said. him being annoyed at sam before hand really elevated the estes method, funny enough.
maybe it's bc i don't know about trickster spirits and what they are meant to do or whatever, but if i know the spirit i'm talking to is fucking with me, i'm just not gonna talk to it anymore. i'm not gonna give it what it wants, which is to see me scared. and i think snc, without knowing it, were feeding into what dave wanted.
their equipment malfunctioning over and over again was crazy, ngl. but the actual scariest part of the whole vid was who the FUCK was that behind them in the basement coming up the steps??? fuck The Method, now THAT is proof of the other side existing, especially if snc were alone in that house at that point (which assumingly they were).
so this episode was a bit of rollercoaster for me. some parts were just plan bad to me. like i wouldn't even consider rewatching the first half again tbh. it was tedious to do it just to make this review, so that alone deducts this episode a bunch. but the second half, basically everything after The Method where larray and bella's loved ones talked to them, was pretty decent/better. and of course, once snc were alone, the video was at its best. i truly wish snc would just realize that they do so much better and get such better results without other ppl. just the two of them is enough. i truly wanted to like this episode, and i did to some extent, but no offense to larray, his over reactions just soured most of the video for me. he seems like a nice guy, and i didn't mind him the first time around when snc collabed with him, but god… just shut up next time lol
rating: 2.9/5
would i rewatch: only the tail end, tbh…. so no i guess lol
~~~~~~~~
episode four
i'll be honest with yall, i was mixed about how this final episode was gonna play out. part of me was excited to see it, another part of me was like… eh, don't care. but i will say, i was pleasantly surprised with this one. i guess in a weird way it was my favorite of all the episodes, but that's not saying much since none were really my favorite anyway.
niki and george were fantastic. honestly no notes. they didn't talk the entire fucking time, they weren't overly negative, they kept in line with snc's humor and or seriousness. i loved it truly. 10/10.
i completely forgot that kris called them to tell them about a dream she had. her and niki, and celina too… all having dreams about snc. what are they, fans??
i'm joking btw.
i think the dream element can be a bit questionable, but i do also think it's kinda creepy too. even if for argument's sake it's not real and/or is propped up to be something more serious than it is.
the foil house/tent thing they built was…. confusing. but i'm down for them to start using different methods, especially if they end up working or are interesting. they split up and neither really got anything that compelling, but when they played the picture game it was creepy that only colby's pics got fucked with a bit. it's always colby lol
but i gotta ask, didn't they break the first rule of the game which is nothing is supposed to cross over the circle in the middle? bc sam did that by putting the water cup down in it. also, i highly doubt that snc trashed that camera. highkey it's probably in their office rn.
the duel estes method, in theory, is a cool idea. but the execution wasn't really good enough. like sure, they got some answers, i guess. but half of the words were just random. and tying niki and colby together was kinda pointless. snc just love exploring their kinks on camera huh skskks jk
so, i think what was a bit confusing about sam freaking out (before) going into the basement is that did you really think colby wasn't gonna send you down there at some point? he has made a big stink about it since it happened to him. of course sam had to have known this was gonna happen. not to mention, sam's fucking challenge for colby would have literally caused him to get lost in the woods…. so i would say sam got the nicer of the two options.
as for what transpired in the basement, clearly sam was absolutely losing it. whether it was paranormal or not, he was scared out of his fucking mind. and i get it must have been creepy as hell down there. and god knows he lasted longer than i would have. but there is no reason he has to push himself that far to believe there is something more. like is it really worth being permanently scarred just to know if something is down there? not to mention, but whatever is down there, feeds off of havoc and scared energy. and you basically fell into its trap. like, i'm not blaming sam for freaking out. god knows i would be way worse in that situation. but i also wouldn't have been the dumbass who leaves my phone upstairs and has no extra back up light.
also colby is too forgiving bc i would been like "since you love the basement so much, here you go :)" lmaooo
(sidenote, why is colby walking around in only his socks???? ewwwww. do that in your own home, not the conjuring my guy. and another sidenote, does sam's face look swollen in the basement, or is that just the camera being hella zoomed in? idk why he just looks different)
colby giving a whole disclaimer or explanation about why he could leave sam in the basement…. i blame the fandom bc there is no reason for him to being doing all that. sam was literally gonna have him walk alone to the fucking graveyard. sam is fine in the basement. he can leave whenever he wants to. colby ain't a bad guy for giving him a challenge like that.
the walkie dying is so eerily spooky to the og alone conjuring video it's kinda crazy. but, maybe there is just bad reception lol
moving onto the final stretch of the video, the tarot reading. i know snc kinda showed more of the original reading on xplrclub, but if they truly think her first reading was super accurate, i really hope this reading is also just as accurate. snc deserve a lot more positive than negative these next couple months. so i hope that happens for them.
(might have to do a tarot reading on them myself just for funsies)
The Method's last messages… again, idk. imma just say this, to quote beetlejuice the musical "positivity is luxury that few can afford" and i'll just leave me beliefs at that.
i'll be completely honest with yall, idk what the priestess did with snc. the whole thing, the ouija board and exorcism/cleansing was intriguing, don't get me wrong, but idk what the fuck was happening. i kinda just watched it and accepted it at face value bc again, idk anything. it probably would have been for the best if snc explained it a bit better or did something to let us know what was up. i don't really believe everything that the priestess believes, but i do find her interesting enough that i hope she comes back eventually. god knows snc are gonna need another cleansing at some point.
colby going into the woods blindfolded…. is he trying to literally fall off of a bridge? what is with yall using blindfolds and ties? enough of the kinky shit, already.
but as for what happened out there, i think it was an interesting end to the final investigation. i could sort of hear something running up on colby, and i can only imagine how that would have felt in the moment. and who knows what it could have been? my bet is it was an animal, but i also feel like if it was one, it would have kept chasing him. but who knows. i'm just glad he didn't get hurt.
overall, i would say this was my favorite episode. i think it had a lot more high moments than lows, and that alone makes it the best. the collabs were good in this one, they got really cool evidence, and it was just a great way to wrap up this series.
rating: 4/5
would i rewatch: yeah :)
~~~~~~~~
now, onto my thoughts on this whole thing:
so going into this series, i wasn't too excited, as i had mentioned before. i felt as if snc should have taken this year off and came back during hell week if that was something they direly wanted to do. bc a lot of the content that came out this year was just… not good. it wasn't on par with what their calibar is. but i think this series was probably the best thing that came out this year by them. a lot of cool and interesting things happened in this series, and clearly snc's hearts were fully invested in this. there was passion in this series, and that's what a lot of their other videos this year have lacked, imo.
as for The Method and it changing the world….. i love snc, clearly. i deeply care for them. but they truly need to have someone in their camp that's gonna tell them reality. i mean, just as i'm writing this, there are tons of ppl on tiktok and youtube trying to disprove and nitpick apart the series and in particular The Method. but here's how i feel about that: satori and cody could be lying, that's true. they could be faking it somehow. but i don't think that's the takeaway from this series. i've seen how many ppl this brought closure to, how many ppl feel better now knowing there is something else after this life. and that in itself is worth it, even if it's not real. this series wasn't gonna change my mind bc i myself already believed in the paranormal and already believed that there is something more out there. i don't need two random ppl to prove to me i'm right. i already believe that on my own. and in that regard, i know that this series isn't for me. it's for those that needed to hear those words, that needed the confirmation. and for those ppl, i'm happy this gave you that. honest to god. just bc i didn't get that out of this doesn't mean i look down on those that did. if this helped you in any way, that's fantastic and i'm glad. i'm not here to argue whether or not The Method is a lie. idc tbh. snc believe it, and i believe them.
and if it comes out that satori and cody lied, fuck them. but until otherwise proven, i'll believe what they're selling. i'm just… not gonna buy any myself.
but even taking them out of the conjuring equation, snc caught some crazy shit there. of course, a lot of it was amplified by The Method, but i think what they did outside of that was more interesting and compelling than The Method. what i think will be more important is what they now do with the information they know. how are they gonna move forward now knowing what they know? what are they gonna impliment now that they didn't think to use before the conjuring? that's what matters to me.
idk if i got an ask that said this or not (i would have to double check but if i did - hi anon, here's your answer), but i know ppl are asking how snc are gonna top themselves this next year for hell week. personally, i don't think they have to. i think they should go back to what hell week looks like usually: a bunch of different places with different guests, but now more amplified. maybe, crazy concept, do more solo investigations. how about during next year's hell week you just… go alone to all seven places? maybe stop by the conjuring another time? you already proved (for the most part) that there is an afterlife and more beyond this life, why not go back thru your greatest hits with fresh eyes? that's what will make a difference in the content and take it to the next level without you literally contacting a demon or something.
i was pleasantly surprised by this series, and i'm more excited now to see what they do next than i was before, so… mission accomplish lol

I Always Got You
Tumblr media
summary: Bucky gives you the reassurance you need after a tough mission leaves you doubting yourself.
pairing: Bucky x Avenger!Reader
word count: 1.6k
warnings: just some Bucky fluff, argument with Steve
A/N: this was originally a Stucky fic but here’s a short drabble??? for the series… with soft and sweet Bucky because I love him and also needed this myself; I hope you enjoy!
Making your way back into the field and going on missions with the team again was a longer process than you anticipated—and the hard work paid off—but you felt like everyone was treating you like a fragile toy.
There was always someone by your side, which you appreciated, but not when it came to simple tasks like extracting a file, breaking a lock, or even just making your way back to the jet when your task was finished.
You told yourself you didn’t want to go back to the field if you still felt like you couldn’t be alone, and you kept that personal promise. Everyone on the team told you that you were ready a long time ago, but you needed to be able to trust yourself first before listening to anyone else’s thoughts.
Nonetheless, their actions seemed to contradict their words, almost as if they were backtracking. They kept an eye on everything you did, stepped in front of you to handle someone you most definitely could’ve dealt with yourself, and constantly checking in on you whether it was physically or through comms.
It felt a bit suffocating. Coming back from missions, you just needed to get away from everyone and get a moment to yourself. You were grateful for the concern, but not too fond of the constant hovering. It made you doubt yourself and your abilities, and it didn’t help to believe that the rest of the team was also starting to doubt you.
One person who never doubted you was Bucky. Not when he was on a mission with you or when he heard you complain after coming back to the compound. He always believed in you, whether you personally believed that or not, but it was always nice to be aware that at least one person understood where you were coming from.
He had seen you adapt. He always told you that you reminded him of himself when he first joined the team, and thus he understood you better than anyone else around you. He trusted and believed when you said you were ready, but Bucky could also tell when you were pushing yourself to be “ready” on everyone else’s accord, through peer pressure almost. There wasn’t a moment where Bucky didn’t voice his thoughts about you exerting more energy than you should have.
You were more than desperately hoping he’d have his usual, comforting reaction when you got back to the compound.
Steve was pissed. He couldn’t even so much look at you throughout the rest of the mission after you decided to “disobey” his orders, though it ended up working out in the end. You’d only hoped he would have kept up the silent treatment on the jet ride home, especially not wanting to cause a scene in front of Nat, Clint, and Sam, but a lecture from Steve was never unfamiliar to you since you first got here.
“I told you to stay put,” he lectured. “Do you have any idea what danger you could have put those hostages in?”
“They were already in danger, Steve,” you countered. “I wasn’t going to just let them bust the door down and risk any of them getting physically injured. They’re mentally scarred enough.”
Steve ran a frustrated hand through his hair. “It doesn’t matter, Y/n. You went against my orders, you could have jeopardized the entire mission, and someone could have died.”
“But-”
“I knew you weren’t entirely ready to come back yet. I’m putting you on probation.”
“Excuse me?”
“You heard me. On probation. No missions for two weeks until you learn to get over your insubordination.” You scoffed. “Have anything else to add?”
“Do you even hear yourself? Those hostages lived because of me. They’re alive. I’ve been off the field long enough to know when I am and am not capable of handling myself in a mission, Captain.”
He looked back at you after commanding FRIDAY to take over the jet. Steve knew that he wasn’t trying to be so harsh, knowing the rough start you had on the team along with the struggles of coming back from two brutal injuries in just the last few months. Steve also always had a soft spot for you given how much you meant to Bucky, and the last thing he needed was watching his best friend suffer because he didn’t keep an eye on you. However, he couldn’t give you all the special treatment in the world.
“You’re staring,” you stated, pulling Steve out of his own thoughts. “If there’s nothing else to lecture me for, we can move on. You already punished me.”
He sighed. “Do you think I like being rough on you?”
“You don’t really have to be,” you snapped, garnering everyone’s attention now. “All you guys do is hover over me like I’m going to break at any second. I’m not. Just trust that I know what I’m doing for once. I made the right call on this mission and not you nor Fury nor anyone else on this God forsaken team is going to tell me otherwise, Steve. You said your piece. You put me on probation. Just drop it.”
Deciding it was best to let it go, Steve turned back in his seat and sighed to himself. The rest of the jet ride was deafening silence.
Stepping off of the jet, you felt suffocated enough and rushed back to your room. Steve called out for you to head to a debrief session right away, but you ignored him.
“Just give her time,” Nat suggested to her friend, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder. “She’ll come around.”
“She’s never gonna like me again at this rate.”
“Who’s never gonna like you?” Bucky said, making Steve regret letting the words slip from his mouth. “Where’s Y/n?”
“She ran right to her room,” Nat said before Steve could interject. “The usual.”
“She’s not too fond of me right now,” Steve admitted. “Could you just get her to debrief quickly? We don’t need to talk much about this mission.”
Bucky simply gave them a nod before making his way to the door of your room, knocking lightly but loud enough for you to hear.
“Honey? It’s Bucky,” he spoke softly, making you wipe the tears off your face quickly before he saw you crying, though you were aware he’d notice anyway. “I’m coming in.”
Opening the door and peeking his head inside, Bucky saw you sitting on the floor in front of your bed, knees to your chest and your arms wrapped around them. You hadn’t taken any of your gear off and your eyes were still red and puffy from crying. He sighed, knowing the kind of mood you were in, closing the door behind him and making his way next to you on the floor.
Bucky wrapped his arms around you, pulling you into his chest, not immediately breaking you into a sob but welling up a few tears in your eyes and light sniffles every now and then.
“What happened, honey?” Bucky asked after your breathing evened out, knowing you still needed a few moments to calm down.
“I don’t wanna do this anymore, Bucky,” you said, rubbing your eyes with the heels of your hands. “I don’t wanna be on this team anymore. I can’t get anyone’s approval and I just don’t think that I’m meant to do any of it.”
“Hey, why would you say that? Look at me,” he countered right away, moving his hands to cup your face and make you face him. “You are perfect for this team. Hell, you’re even better than me sometimes, doll. What makes you think you shouldn’t be here?”
“Steve put me on probation for something that didn’t change the outcome of the mission,” you said as Bucky wiped the rest of your tears away. “I went against orders but it was what was best at the moment and he made it seem like I was way out of line and I feel like nobody thinks I’m ever going to be capable enough to do things and trust that I know what I’m doing.”
Bucky kissed your forehead. “That’s not the case, honey. Steve’s… tough sometimes, but he only has your best interests at heart. He doesn’t want you to get hurt again.”
“I’’m not,” you said confidently, though your tone was still solemn. “I haven’t been out in months and now it’s like I can’t even step in the wrong direction without someone thinking I’m gonna break. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.”
“You’re not doing anything wrong, my love,” Bucky reassured you again. “I think everyone’s afraid of both underestimating and overestimating you. That isn’t your fault. I know you’re ready and I trust that you know what you’re doing. Okay?”
You nodded up at him before he pressed a chaste kiss to your lips. He then looked back in your eyes, with you taking notice that the dim lighting in your room made his eyes a little more gray than blue. You were making mental notes of how grateful you were for Bucky, knowing his patience ran a little thin sometimes but he made the grand effort to never take things out on you unnecessarily.
Sometimes you wished you didn’t need so much reassurance, but Bucky never failed to remind you that he’d always be willing to give it. You just made him promise to also always correct you if you were in the wrong, which he (reluctantly) agreed to.
You kissed him once more before thanking him softly, and he rubbed his nose a few times against yours.
“No need to thank me, sweetheart, I always got you,” he said in a soft tone. “You feeling okay now?”
“Yeah,” you said with a nod. “Can we just stay here for a bit? Before I talk to Steve?”
“Of course, baby,” he agreed.
Bucky pulled you back into his arms and kissing the top of your forehead, making you feel safer and warmer than ever.

Part Fifteen.
Tommy made his way into the abandoned warehouse, your voice telling him to be ‘bloody careful this time’ ringing in his ears as he strides through the corridors, he stops outside the door at the furthest end of the warehouse, he can hear Arthur inside.
Checking his gun is sat in his holster before he pushes his way in, Arthur is sat in front of the man who’s tied to the chair, the busted lip and black eye a sign his older brother has had a good go at him before Tommy arrived.
“Brother, we fucking got him” He states, Tommy nods because well, yes he could see that, Arthur stood from the chair, landing another blow to Sam's stomach making him cry out in agony.
Sam looked up at Tommy, he went to speak, but Tommy was in his face, “Think you can go around controlling all those vulnerable women eh?, make their lives hell and get away with it?” he sneered.
Sam smirked “They all fucking deserve it, especially Y/N, she fucking loved every minute being a whore needed putting in her place” he laughed, Tommy’s fist connected with his face “keep her name out of your fucking mouth” he shouted.
Sam was laughing, could see how he was winding Tommy up “Nice fucking cunt eh?” he taunted, Tommy immediately had the gun pressed against Sam’s forehead, eyes locked on the man who had caused his wife so much pain.
“Enough!” he bellowed, watching with a smirk as Sam went to open his mouth, without giving him a chance to say anything degrading about you again, he pulled the trigger.
“Fucking hell, Tom” Arthur chuckled, as Sam’s body slumped forward on the chair, “he didn’t deserve to fucking say her name again” Tommy pushed the gun back in his holster.
“Call Johnny Dogs he’s waiting to clear up, I need to call John and Finn, let them know to get things underway at Daytona’s” Tommy looked at Arthur, “Get home to Y/N, I can deal with them, Johnny Dogs knows his orders” Arthur patted Tommy on the back, “Get back and tell her the good news eh?” he smiled.
Tommy nodded “Thanks Brother” he took one last look at Sam, finally gone, he couldn’t wait to tell you, to see your face when you found out he wouldn’t be hurting another young women again.
You greeted Tommy a few hours later, throwing yourself into him not caring about the blood on his clothes and face, “He’s gone darling” he hummed, pulling back to get a good look at you “Fucking free of him finally, eh?” he smiled cupping at your face, you bit at your lip trying to hold back the tears.
“Really?” you were shocked, finally, you felt the weight lift from your shoulders “Really Darling, got what he deserved” he pulled your face towards his, lips pressing against yours.
-
Tommy woke up to the sound of you muffled behind the closed door of the en-suite, the soft heart wrenching sobs, he was out of bed in a flash, heart pounding as he twisted the doorknob.
“Y/N, love unlock the door” he gave it a gentle tap, voice soft, “please” he added as an afterthought. Letting out a breath as the click of the lock indicated he could go in, his gaze skimmed over you, the red of your eyes, the red on the tiles “I think I'm losing the baby” you choked out a sob.
Tommy gathered you into his arms, hand stroked over the back of your head as he soothed you “let's get you cleaned up, eh?” He hummed, moving you to sit on the edge of the bath, he could see the red streams on your legs as you doubled over with another pain.
“He’s fucking dead and he’s still won” you hiccuped, would this ever end? You wouldn’t ever be free of him. Tommy knelt on the floor in front of you, hands stroking against the skin of your thighs “He hasn’t won, I won’t fucking let him” he sighed.
He called for Polly, someone just to come over because fuck, he didn’t have a clue what to do in this situation.
Polly had got you cleaned up and into bed, a calm presence in the madness, she found Tommy in the bathroom making an attempt to clean up, hands shaking as he wrung out the cloth “Thomas, leave it” Polly spoke softly.
“She can’t come back in here to this, Pol, why her eh?” he was trying to stay calm, didn’t want to make you upset, “She doesn’t fucking deserve this, we don’t deserve this” Polly took his hands “He’s gone, you sorted it, you’ve kept her safe” she spoke trying to get him to see sense.
“But he’s won hasn’t he?” Tommy gestured to the mess of the bathroom, Polly shook her head “No he hasn’t because you’ve still got each other, you found each other and you saved her” Polly reassured him.
“Tom” your soft voice came from the doorway, stepping into the bathroom you kept your eyes on your husband, “I’m so sorry” you whispered, Tommy pulled you into him “You have nothing to apologise for” he guided you out of the bathroom.
He helped you into bed, letting you curl into his body holding onto him. “I’m going back on the pill, I don’t want to go through this again” you confirmed, you really couldn’t go through this pain.
Tommy pushed his fingers through your hair, “Baby, you don’t have to worry about that right now, eh? Get some sleep, please?” he urged, looking up as Polly came back into the room.
“Call me if you need anything, I’ll be back tomorrow” she smiled, you looked up at her “Thank you Pol, I’ll come see you out” you went to move from the bed. Polly frowned, “You will not, I’m capable of getting out of the door myself, get some rest” she ordered, you nodded knowing not to ignore her orders.
Polly turned before she left the room, “I don't want to see you working for the rest of this week, that's both of you” she didn’t give either of you a chance to answer, before she left the room.

“Divorced and happy.” PART THREE
A/N: Part one here. Part two here.
Tumblr media
To say that, that conversation was devastating would be an understatement. You hardly remember the drive home, you just assumed it was awkward. You couldn’t begin to imagine how Adam felt, you wouldn’t have known how to react if you saw him in the arms of his ex, not only an ex but an ex spouse. Adam drove both you and Vanessa home that night, you don’t remember speaking at all, most of the aftershock was a blur.
You vaguely remembered watching Vanessa enter her home, but after that you were pretty much drawing a blank.
According to Samantha, Adam brought you inside and put you in bed, he let her know what happened that night. You cringed at the thought of him having to recall what he saw, you truthfully didn’t know what part of the conversation he even caught.
Understandably so, Adam decided to give you some space for the time being. Texting you ever so often to see if you needed anything, and occasionally bringing you something to eat but he usually didn’t stick around, which was good because you didn’t really want him to. Although, you were grateful a huge part of you was embarrassed.
The next few days or so were spent on your couch sulking when Reyna was at preschool. Nobody ever truly thought that Jack would come around, and you held your breath hoping that one day that he would, but he had some pretty terrible timing. You were frustrated because now it just felt calculated and a little too late.
It was the middle of the week now, you had just dropped Reyna off at preschool when you walked back into your apartment and saw Samantha standing there with a big grin and her keys in her hand.
“No Sam!” You groaned as you headed back to the couch. “You need to leave the house Y/N” she begged “or at least talk about how you’re feeling, come on! You’ve hardly said anything to me and it’s been days.”
“What else is there to say?” You shrugged trying your best to keep your composure.
“You know I know you better than anyone right?” she sat down next to you shooting you a look.
You wiped a tear that escaped you as you looked away from her.
“You also can’t keep avoiding Adam” she confessed and you knew in your gut that she was right.
“ I just don’t even know how to explain what happened. I mean did anything even really happen? Jack didn’t really say anything to me but I knew what he was trying to say…”you trailed off stopping yourself from getting emotional.
“You can cry Y/N, I’ve literally seen you go through everything especially with Jack. You don’t need to hold back” Samantha looked at you and you forced a smile back.
“I’m just so tired of crying over him” your voice shook. “ I’ve spent the last couple years of my life crying over him. I’m exhausted. I’m frustrated because he doesn’t get to decide to ask me those questions now. I’ve met a really good guy, I mean sure he can be a little boring but boring is okay sometimes right?“
Samantha laughed at your realization “Adam is a really nice guy though Y/N….”
You looked over at her and held back a laugh as she nodded “but yes, he’s a little bland.”
You looked at her with wide eyes “WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME THAT SOONER?”
Samantha laughed, before being silent for a moment, which surprised you, she was never one to be left speechless, so you looked at her confused.
“ I wouldn’t usually say this, but I feel like you owe it to yourself to hear what he has to say.”
You looked at her and felt her forehead, she looked at you weird for a moment.
“What are you doing?”
“Making sure you don’t have a fever or something, because that’s the craziest shit you’ve ever said.”
She laughed “I feel like you need that closure conversation, and maybe you’d feel better.”
You nodded, sitting on the couch still deep in thought.
“Get ready, let’s go somewhere” Samantha tapped your leg so you’d stand up and you nodded, knowing you probably did need to get out of the house.
She wouldn’t tell you where you were going initially but once you started the drive you realized she was taking you to the lake you used to go to together all the time when you were pregnant with Reyna and a lot after she was born. “Remember this is the venting lake?” She laughed and you nodded “yeah, we haven’t been here in so long.”
You both got out of the car and sat on her hood, shortly after you were there for a while you noticed she was distracted by her phone. Before you could ask who she was texting a familiar car pulled up.
You went into a slight panic, Samantha noticed right away assuring you it was only Urban that was coming.
When he walked over to Samantha and gave her a kiss, you practically screamed.
“What the fuck?” The two of them looked at your expression and laughed.
“How long has this been going on?” You got off the hood of the car, staring at the both of them.
“Maybe a month?” Samantha laughed awkwardly, she wasn’t usually one to keep things from you.
“A MONTH?” You slapped her arm and laughed “WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK??”
You had always known that Samantha and Urban had a chemistry but the entire time you and Jack were together they were both never single at the same time, so a part of you was surprised and the other part of you was relieved.
Urban laughed “ We didn’t want to tell you until we were sure” he shrugged.
“Is this why you want me to talk to Jack?” You looked at Samantha wide eyed.
Urban looked over at her and then back at you “you told her to talk to him?”
Samantha shrugged “for closure.”
Urban didn’t say anything at all avoiding all eye contact with the both of you making both you and Samantha uneasy “oh god, what’s going on?” You asked hopeful he wouldn’t have much to say.
“He’s not in the best shape” Urban swallowed.
You raised an eyebrow at that “Urban, you can’t tell a half ass story.”
He shook his head “I mean, that’s my best friend. I can’t put him on blast like that.”
“He also cheated on me after I had our child. Do you remember that?” You looked at him knowing just how to make him feel guilty.
“Damn, you don’t fight fair” he shook his head.
“I think Sammie is right, I think now that you’ve both had some days to think about it that you should talk to him” Urban paused when he saw you looking at him holding back a laugh “what?”
“Sammie? You have nicknames?” You giggled.
Urban rolled his eyes “focus!”
“Yes sir” you laughed and he continued “ whether you two like it or not you’re going to have to deal with each other for the rest of Reynas life.”
You nodded “I know that Urb, but what do you expect me to do? ”
“Maybe when he picks Reyna up tomorrow you guys can talk” Samantha smiled, she could tell this conversation was overwhelming you. “Wanna take my car? Urb can take me home later” she smiled holding out her keys to you.
You reached for her keys “Oh you mean Urby? Urby bear?” You teased and they both laughed and you hugged them both goodbye before driving home.
On the way home you thought about the conversation you just had with Samantha and Urban, and also the fact that they were dating for an entire month and kept it a secret was crazy to you.
When you pulled up to your house you saw Adams car outside, which wasn’t all that surprising to you since he had been bringing you lunch ever so often but what you didn’t expect was for him to be visibility upset.
You got out of the car and saw him instantly get out of his, his face was flushed and he was obviously irritable.
“Hey babe” you greeted him and he walked up to you quickly “hi.”
“Where were you? I called you like three times.”
You pulled your phone out of your back pocket and saw three missed calls from Adam and surprisingly one missed call from Jack. You shoved your phone back in your pocket right away.
“I was out, are you okay?” You eyed him up and down noticing now how clearly bothered he was.
“Were you with him?”
“Him?” You gave him a confused look.
“Jack” he looked directly at you, you could sense the sadness in his eyes.
“No of course not, I was out with Samantha and Urban” you were trying your best not to be defensive knowing Adam had every right to be concerned but you definitely didn’t like the way he was approaching you.
“Let’s go inside?” You looked around at your neighborhood and Adam followed you inside.
When you got inside you both had a seat in the living room across from one another, Adam had softened a bit since being outside.
“I’m sorry” he sighed, “we just haven’t talked in a few days and I mean, I still don’t know what happened the other night.”
“I get it” you nodded. “I mean, I just don’t know where to start.” You could feel yourself getting overwhelmed already, but you knew that if the situation was reversed you’d want to know the details too.
“What am I supposed to think? I walked out and saw my girlfriend sobbing in the arms of her ex husband” he shrugged defeated, you could tell he had been stressing over this situation.
Before you could speak he interjected “before you tell me anything, do you want to be with him? ”
You felt slightly hurt that he even had to ask that, but at the same time you had been so brief about your past relationship with Jack that you couldn’t blame him for having so many questions.
“No Adam, I just…” you sighed and started going into the details of what happened the other night. Adam understandably had a lot of questions but asked only one “he cheated on you and thats why you got divorced?”
You nodded “well, it was a mixture of things but yeah I’d say that was pretty much what sealed the deal.”
“Why didn’t you tell me any of this before?” The look on his face was exactly why but you didn’t want to say that to him, the look of pity on his face sickened you.
“He’s the father of my child, and for that I’ll always have a level of respect for him just as a person” you shrugged “I didn’t want you to view him as some evil person, he’s Reynas dad and we were young” you shrugged again avoiding Adams gaze.
“If you’re old enough to get married and have a kid you’re old enough to know not to cheat on your spouse” Adam laughed, his tone came out sharp and you understood it but at the same time deep down you wanted to defend Jack for some reason.
Instead you just nodded, Adam could tell you were clearly upset by what he said.
“I didn’t mean to offend you Y/N” he walked over to you and held you.
You leaned your head against him “You’re right though.” You sighed looking up at Adam “why did you think I was out with him?”
Adam was embarrassed, his cheeks lit up immediately “ after the other night, and seeing how emotional you were I just got into my own head.”
“I haven’t spoken to him since that night” you assured him.
He looked down at his watch realizing he was going to be late going back to work “do you wanna have dinner tonight if you’re feeling up to it?”
You nodded “sounds good” and walked him to the door, opening it to see Jack pulling up to your house.
“What the fuck” you audibly reacted, feeling like the air had just been knocked out of your lungs.
“Haven’t talked to him since that night huh?” Adam looked annoyed, you realized he thought you were lying.
“I haven’t Adam” you said defensively.
“Why would he show up here knowing Reyna is at school?”
“Your guess is as good as mine” you sighed, slightly irritated at how accusatory Adam was being.
Jack got out of his car not noticing the two of you making your way toward him. The look on his face made it obvious to you that he hadn’t initially realized Adams car was there.
“Hey Reynas school called me, they needed her to bring something for show and tell today and I guess she forgot it.” You knew he was lying, but you appreciated the effort.
“You can’t just show up here without calling” Adam bucked defensively which surprised both you and Jack.
“Well, I called and nobody answered, it also pertains to my child….so” Jack laughed clearly annoy Adam, looking over at you for response.
You shot Adam a look, “I think after what happened the other night he should know better than to just show up here.”
Before you could respond Jack did.
“Do we have an issue?” Jack stepped toward Adam and Adam stepped forward too, it was clear to you neither man was going to back down without you interfering.
“There’s about to be one” Adam stepped forward again, his fists were clenched and that was enough for you. You put a hand between the two of them, Jack looked at the fear in your eyes and stepped back but Adam didn’t.
“ADAM! LEAVE” You raised your voice slightly, standing in front of Jack.
Adam looked at you, embarrassment written all over his face “Nice to know you’ve made your decision. Call me when you change your mind” he scoffed, walking to his car and speeding off.
You didn’t even know how to react to that, you were obviously frustrated by the entire thing.
Jack showing up unannounced was one thing but Adam being aggressive was an entire other thing in itself.
“Can I come in?” Jack sighed, obviously unaware that, that was going to happen.
“You have the best timing” you said sarcastically laughing and he shook his head following you inside “my fault.”
He took a seat on one of your barstool chairs.
“Sorry, I didn’t know he was here. I called you but you didn’t…”
“It’s fine” you interrupted, wanting to cut this conversation short.
“I didn’t know Adam was such a hot head” he smirked and you shook your head, obviously annoyed by that entire interaction. “The way you swooped in there and defended my honor was pretty attractive” he smirked.
“Shut up” you rolled your eyes, holding back a giggle “I didn’t want Reyna to see her dad with a black eye.”
“Is that right?” He laughed before changing the subject. “So Urb and Samantha huh?” He laughed again and you looked at him shocked “did you know before me? I’ll literally die.”
He shook his head “he called me like an hour ago to tell me and that you guys went out to the lake.”
You nodded and he continued “the venting lake” he used air quotes.
“You remember that?” You were genuinely surprised, you never felt like he paid you any attention, especially back then.
“Of course I do” he smiled.
After all this time, his smile was still your favorite thing about him. You hated to admit it but being alone with him still made you feel an overwhelming amount of butterflies.
“I assume you’re not here to talk about Urban and Samantha though right?”
He shook his head, he was never really good with expressing himself, which was ironic to you considering his entire career was based off of him being good with words.
“I’ve been thinking a lot about the other day and I had no right to ask you that question, at least not there. You’re right, my timing sucks” he laughed awkwardly.
You looked at him, reading his sorrow expression knowing this conversation wasn’t going to be an easy one. “I should’ve reacted better, but I just felt like I had no control over myself.
“Thats on me for that” he chewed on his bottom lip nervously, “ I’ve been known to have that effect on you” he sighed.
You nodded knowing it wasn’t the first time he had seen you break down like that, because of something he said or did.
“Jack, I- I really like Adam” you leaned against your kitchen counter directly across from him “well, I liked Adam, I have no idea what the hell is going on with that now” you sighed.
“Thats the thing though” he smiled at you “you’ve never told me that you love Adam. You’ve always told me that you liked him.”
You felt a sense of nervousness overwhelm you, you knew he was right, you’ve never said you loved Adam out loud before, because you weren’t entirely sure that you did.
“Whats your point?” Your natural reaction was to be defensive.
“If you don’t love him yet then maybe there is still time for us” he mumbled.
“Time for us?” He always knew how to make your blood boil. “What brought all of this on? You haven’t given a shit about me for the last few years, you didn’t even fight for me when we were married Jack.”
“That’s not true” he scratched at his beard, a nervous tick you were well aware of, making you smirk at him.
“I’ve always loved you, always. You’re the mother of my child, how could I not?”
“You don’t cheat on the person you love” you sat up now, arms folded across your chest clearly annoyed with the conversation “ you don’t divorce the person you love.”
“I fucked up, a lot, countless amounts of times, I know that” he watched you intently as your body language was defensive “I didn’t appreciate you and I should have. I should’ve taken our marriage seriously and I didn’t but I can’t do anything about that now. I can just show you how I’ve changed.“
You couldn’t help but laugh, passive aggressively of course.
“What’s funny?” He looked at you, an eyebrow raised in annoyance.
“Oh, I’m sorry? Am I not allowed to react? You want to finally show me how you’ve changed? After we’ve been divorced for what almost a year now? You don’t still love me Jack, you just don’t want to see me with someone else.”
“That’s not true” he huffed, standing up to approach you.
“I’ve been really getting my shit together. I started the label, I set time aside so I could be home with Reyna more, I’m a good dad! I’m ready to prove that i’d be a good husband or boyfriend again” he was standing close to you now, his energy felt overwhelming. It took everything within you not to kiss him and be agreeable, you had finally heard all of the things you’d been longing to hear.
“I’m not doubting that you’re a good father, you’re a great dad. You’ve just never been the best at being monogamous. I don’t see how much could have changed in such a small amount of time” you started to cry, he backed away from you slightly assuming that standing so close to you wasn’t helping, he kept his eyes on you though.
“Tell me” he cleared his throat, you could tell that he was holding back a cry too.
“Tell you what?”
“Tell me you’ve fallen out of love with me” he looked at you, you avoided his eye contact.
“I-“ You’re voice trembled, you didn’t want to lie to him.
“If you can admit to me that you’re not still in love with me, I’ll leave you alone. You don’t have to worry about this conversation, we can forget it ever-“
You grabbed him by the neck so he’d lean down to you, you looked into each other’s eyes for a moment and you kissed him. He picked you up, you wrapped your legs around his waist, and you continued to kiss him, not noticing the door flinging open.

JOJO: Chapter Two - Fascinated

chapter summary: a first date with a redhead and an unexpected connection.
pairings: Natasha Romanoff x singlemom!reader
word count: 2330
warnings: none.
Y/N POV
It hadn’t even been two whole days since I met Natasha in the park, but we had texted almost non-stop. I don’t know what it was about her but I felt so at ease and comfortable talking to her, which is rare for me, especially the past couple of years. The sky was painted with shades of pink and orange as I polished off my makeup: tonight I was getting dinner with Natasha, as promised. A musical knock sounded on the door of my apartment and within moments I was swinging open the door to be met by my best friend, Sam.
“Damnnnnn you look good girl” he looked me up and down with a cocky smirk.
“You’re late Wilson. And all of this?” I paused, motioning down my body and up again with my hands, “is not for you.”
“What a shame. Hot date huh?” He teased, knowing all the details of my encounter with the red-head. Immediately my cheeks deepened to a shade of crimson.
“Something like that… maybe…” I faltered as my head bowed to avoid eye contact with my partner in crime. Changing the subject, I yelled throughout the apartment “JOJO, UNCLE SAM IS HERE!” Tiny pounding footsteps could be heard echoing throughout the room as my daughter charged from her bedroom before sliding down the spiraling staircase on her bum. She raced towards the tall man and threw herself into his arms.
Sam had been there for JoJo since the day she was born, and he’s the closest thing she has to a father figure. He made an effort to see her, and me, as much as possible, and was always on hand to babysit. I’ve known Sam since I was 18 – we met through JoJo’s father and have been almost inseparable ever since. I say almost, he recently managed to get himself involved with the Avengers. Though I’m extremely proud of him, I’m also very jealous since he refuses to let me meet any of them. He says I’ll embarrass him… I call bullshit.
My five year olds legs flailed through the air as Sam swung her around before resting her on his hip. Her little giggles made my heart soar.
“Hi Sammy!” She spoke through her smiling lips before wrapping her arms around his shoulders as far as she could reach. I left the pair to chat whilst I slipped into my outfit. Though this was our first date, we were going to a pretty nice restaurant so I figured I should dress up… plus I wanted to look my best for a certain person since the last time she saw me I had tear stained cheeks. My hair was pulled back into a slick, low bun and my makeup was golden with a smoky eye. All I had left to do was pack my things into my handbag and wait…
 Nat POV
I pulled up to the address Y/n had sent me and parked on the curb. The building was tall, grand and modern, with a gold revolving door at the entrance. As I entered the lobby I was greeted by smartly dressed, formal looking staff.
“Good evening ma’am,” a grey haired man spoke. He smiled lightly, stood behind a lush, mahogany counter.
“Hi, I’m here to see Y/n, apartment 85.” I faced the man, smiling sweetly, hoping he’d point me in the right direction.
“Right this way,” he swiftly floated around the counter and headed down an elegant corridor toward multiple elevator doors, pressing the button to push one into operation. I thanked the man as he stepped out of the elevator after having selected the button for the correct floor. Standing back and observing my surroundings, I noticed that Y/n lived on the top floor. Fancy. Once I arrived I knocked on her door. I could hear light conversation behind the door, I assumed it was Y/n and her daughter, but the door swung open, revealing the last person I expected to see.
“Sam?” I stared at my teammate with utter confusion which his face and tone of voice echoed.
“Nat? What are you doing here? Do we have a mission?”
“No I- I’m here to pick up my date…” He remained silence, staring at me. “Y/n?” I clarified. His face both dropped and lit up at the same time.
“OH SHIT HAHAAA OH MY GOD YOU’RE THE REDHEAD THAT Y/N MET IN THE PARK NO WAY THIS IS TOO GOOD.” I was about to respond until I heard another voice.
“Okay, so she’s had dinner and can sleep in her onesie but if she gets hungry she can have a snack but no later than 8:30 because I want her in bed by nine. NINE. You hear me Sam? She has school tomorrow and if she’s tired that’s on you.” I watched as Y/n paced around the apartment throwing things in her bag whilst tidying things up at the same time. You can tell she’s a mom by the way she multitasks with ease. “And if she gets too hot there’s different pyjamas in her closet. Don’t mess with my thermostat. No scary movies. No swearing in front of her. I’ve left a beer in the fridge for you but only one since she’s your responsibility tonight. Feel free to crash in the guest room because I have no idea what time I’ll be back.” She leant down to kiss her daughter who was sat on a kitchen stool with a carton of juice.
“You look really pretty mama,” she said delicately before sipping on the straw in her little hands.
“Thank you baby, you’re so sweet!” the mother responded, still walking briskly throughout her apartment.
“She’s not wrong.” I finally piped up. Y/n’s head shot up in my direction, clearly having not realised I was here. Her cheeks flushed red as her eyes met mine.
“Hi Tatasha!” The five year old waved at me from across the room, her surprised little smile causing my own grin to erupt as I waved back.
“Oh… hi.” Y/n finally spoke. My heart instantly fluttered seeing how flustered she became in my presence. “Sorry I um- I didn’t realise you were here.”
“It’s okay don’t worry. You look beautiful by the way.” I wasn’t lying. She took my breath away. Her sleek hairstyle showed off her stunning facial structure with makeup that highlighted her delicate features. She was a goddess, glowing like Aphrodite. Her outfit was flawless, teasing me with her exposed midriff. I had only seen this girl twice in my life and yet she was already doing things to me that I couldn’t describe. I tried to hide the lust that flooded my eyes.
“Thank you, not too bad yourself.” She replied to me with a delicate smile. We admired each other for a few seconds, studying each other’s slightest smiles and blushes, until we were interrupted by a throat clearing. Our heads both shot around to Sam who was stood smirking proudly.
“Sorry, am I interrupting?” His cocky tone shone through in this voice.
“Sorry, Natasha, this is-“
“Oh, I know” I interrupted.
“Huh?” Y/n looked puzzled by what I meant.
“I know him.”
“Yeah, you didn’t tell me the sexy redhead you were going on a date with was Nat!” I bowed my head to hide my smirk knowing that Y/n had called me sexy.
“I’m so confused, how do you guys know each other?” Y/n tried to clarify the confusion that flooded her brain. Sam and I pointed to each other and spoke at the same time.
“Work.”
“She’s an avenger too,” Sam spoke over me, deciding to expose me, to which he received a sharp elbow in his side.
“She’s a- You’re a- Huh? You know what? Let’s just go, we don’t want to be late for our reservation.” She smiled at me before turning back to her daughter. “Bye princess I’ll see you in the morning, okay? Behave, I love you. And you,” she paused, turning to Sam, “behave too. Look after her. Don’t wait up.” She smirked with a playful wink at him and turned to me. “Ready?” She looked so sweet and doe eyed, making my excitement for the evening ahead evening skyrocket.
“Ready.” I reached out my arm, offering for her to link it, which she took as we exited the apartment.
 Y/N POV
We walked out of my building, arm in arm, and toward the curb. I was expecting her to hail a cab, but instead I was taken aback when she pulled out a set of keys and the lights flashed on a beautiful, slick black Audi R8. She must’ve seen my jaw slightly drop as she smirked in my direction and opened the passenger side door for me to enter. We both sat in the car as the engine roared and we sped down the streets of New York. The radio played gently in the background as we delved into conversation, covering how we both knew Sam amongst various other topics.
Once we arrived, she again opened the passenger side door and offered me her arm as we walked in together. As soon as we stepped inside the grand doors we were entranced by the beauty of the place. Neither of us had been here before but we had heard incredible reviews. It was a French restaurant – fine wines, great company and beautiful décor, what more could I want?
“Good evening, welcome to Le CouCou.”
-
Soon we were both sat opposite each other at a small table in the centre of the restaurant and had ordered our food. We were encircled by the sound of chatter and clinking glasses, the aroma of French cuisine but only focused on the sight of each other. We had ordered a range of delicious foods and our wine had just arrived at the table.
“Cheers” the beautiful scarlet haired girl across from me smiled, her ruby lined lips upturning.
“Cheers” I returned.
“I’m surprised you know French; I was expecting to have to translate the menu for you.”
“I was preparing to do the same for you but since I found out you’re an avenger I’m not so surprised that you’re multilingual.” I teased her, knowing she disliked that Sam exposed that fact about her, verified by her slight eye roll.
“Hey in my defence, I told you I worked in national defence.”
“Yeah I presumed you meant like an army nurse or something not a damn superhero!”
“I don’t think there’s a difference between the two things you just said…”
“Touché.”
We drank and dined through our first two courses, sharing stories and laughter. Conversation flowed like a spring river, it was so easy to talk to her, even when the topic got tougher.
“So your daughter…”
“Josephine, yeah? What about her?”
“What’s her story?” I giggled at her attempts to ask her most desperate question.
“Are you asking why I’m a single mom to a five year old at age 26?” I smirked at her, looking up through my eyelashes as I took another bite.
“Yeahhh, pretty much… I’m sorry I shouldn’t have asked tha-“
“No, no it’s fine, I was expecting it to come up, it usually does.”
“Usually?” She looked puzzled, wondering what I was insinuating.
“Yeah, dating as a single mom isn’t exactly easy, people presume I got knocked up in college or see my kid as an issue so the story always ends up involved in the conversation.”
“I’m sorry. You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to.”
“It’s fine, stop apologising,” I took a deep inhale before sharing the story, “I moved to New York from the town I grew up in back in England when I was 18 and had finished school to pursue my fashion career. I managed to secure an internship with a big name stylist after she discovered me through my Instagram. Less than two weeks after I moved here, I met Chris. He had left college a few years before and was training to become a therapist. That’s how he knew Sam, they met when Sam was helping veterans with PTSD and Chris was observing him. It was like a fairy tale; we both fell hard and fast and 2 years later we were engaged. Soon after that I fell pregnant so we pushed back the wedding until after I had given birth. When I was 21, JoJo came into the world. Then life and motherhood and work was just a whirlwind so we pushed the wedding back until Josie was 4 so she could really enjoy the party and the experience, the same age I was when my parents got married. We had the venue booked and my dress was picked out and everything…” I paused, taking a deep breath as I prepared to mentally relive the hardest part of my life. “Last May, a month before the wedding, David was involved in a car crash… the other driver was drunk and hit him at 85 miles per hour… it was fatal.”
I watched Natasha’s face change throughout my story, ultimately landing in a combination of shock and sorrow. I could see my reflection in her eyes as they glazed over with tears. I dipped my head, focussing on my half empty plate as I used my fork to push food around.
“Sorry I- I’ve put such a downer on the evening I shouldn’t have said anyth-“
“No you haven’t don’t be sorry, if anything I’m just even more fascinated by you.”
“You’re fascinated by me?”
“Yeah, pretty much everything about you is fascinating. And now that I know how much you’ve been through, how unbelievably strong you are… I’m just… wow.” My entire body filled with butterflies as she look deep into my eyes, both of us speechless by the other. Of all the compliments I have ever received, being told I fascinate someone is by far the most special.
This is special.

ı can actually understand why people thinking Dean is an amazing brother because i was also thinking like that till i rewhatch it. It was mostly because of i had a terrible realitionship with my own older brother( we have same age gap with them) and a older brother who actually cares about his little brother was so nice to me but i'm also an older brother now(he is 11 years younger than me) and i noticed he was not even that extreme with mostly of the thinks he do( not gonna lie he was extreme with some of them but i'm talking about their normal brother realitionship than the weird part of it) i just had very low standarts
i'm sorry about your older brother anon, hope you're doing ok now. i think for me being critical of dean, and especially being critical of him as a brother, is only partially tied to me being an older sibling. if i watched spn when i was younger i would've been more lenient with dean, ignored the fact that he isn't just a child roughhousing with his sibling like me, but an adult hitting his younger brother with intent. i would've thought wanting your sibling to be entirely dependent on you was normal, because i knew it felt nice and i was used to that dynamic from sibling teams in fiction already. and i think a lot of the 'boys will be boys' defenses i hear of dean still don't consider that dynamics, even those between siblings, change when we become adults. when you're more immature you don't always think of the fact that you're hurting someone, but dean clearly hits and insults sam as a punishment and he knows it. dean's actions aren't always taken for full, excused behind childhood trauma, him just being a guy and that's how guys are, behind his positive traits like him being caring, even behind chuck and him being written to act that way. i somewhat understand excusing his imperfections, i can definitely understand wanting dean to be a perfect older sibling, i think it would be comforting for people who see themselves in sam and for those who wanted sam to be loved and treated well by those closest to him, but i can't bring myself to ignore the way dean acts. overall i don't think dean is a terrible brother constantly, i think he can even be admirable sometimes, but i wouldn't want to be like him and i don't think he's amazing.

hi!!! id love to hear all about ur xcom characters:3 especially your rangers! ... I don't know what that is but id love if you told me!
okay okay okay my xcom sillies!!!! So context for xcom 2, after the first game the like... xcom program lost and this fascist alien organization takes over and xcom 2 takes the perspective of a resistance origination fighting against the aliens rather than like... a weird government project in xcom 1
So the big appeal for xcom 2 (TO ME) is dressing up all the characters and making them all cool and silly and seeing them grow (and sometimes die :( but this is my first playthough so I'm MEGA savescumming) and making them gay and making propaganda about it
All xcom characters are randomly generated so I try not to change much about their name and appearance UNLESS I want to transgender them
ANYWAYS
my rangers
Rangers are a really fun class in xcom bc they're like the melee guys and ugh they have a lot of cool mechanics, and unlike my other guys (like generic grenadier, generic grenadier. generic grenadier)
here they are (xcom has some very cool post making features :))) )
Tumblr media
I realized this post is REAL long bc of photos so all of their details are below !!!
anyways, going by each one by one, starting with Sergio "Pathfinder" Valdéz
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He was my first ranger and it def shows!!! He started off a bit silly but slowly he becomes swaggier
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
my favorite thing about him (apart from him being literally one of the most experienced fighters in my run) is that he's gay married to his alien bestie, Mox. Xcom 2 has a mechanic where soldiers can bond and do teamwork stuff but I was like nah they're gay now
Tumblr media Tumblr media
anyways this is their beautiful evolution, I love them so much. Mox is an alien catman now I love him (bonus mox pic as a treat). Those two were also part of the group that took out one of the big bosses permanantly (chosen assasin) and now Pathfinder rocks their cool ass shotgun
Tumblr media
also ugh I have so many screen shots of him
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kong "Jetstream" Guo
I only got another ranger till I was DEEP in the campaign but that was Jetstream!
Tumblr media
I think I mostly sent him on covert missions until Pathfinder got REALLY taken out for a bit and like now gah I love him. Covert missions increase soldiers' stats and it really showed for him How he started out: (also if the poster tags aren't silly goofy that's bc xcom makes an automatic poster for each mission and sometimes I don't have a joke but the posters look nice/have good pics of the xcom guys)
Tumblr media
Anyways I call him Jetstream bc while making his armor look all cool I realized I had accidentally made Jetstream Sam's armor so like????? slay!!! I literally just went with that. He specs really well into mele enow and has a special blade (the chosen assasin katana) that is REALLY good against armored mechanical enemies. Also like gah he's so good with that weapon, he took out like... three armored enemies in a single overwatch turn with that blade so like yeah... jetstream sam type guy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love that second image bc it was one of those auto generated ones bc it has this spooky quote and he's just like :)
Jane "CATastrophe" Kelly
Actually my first character but I never used her bc she's like... the only pregenerated character you have so for a while I didn't know what to do with her till I got this cat armor mod and was like "I know what I'm gonna do with her". Anyways she's an axe wielding catgirl for the resistance.
Tumblr media
anyways she's slay I love her she wields two fusion axes and throws them at big robots she's really fun :>>>>
Tumblr media
Anyways here's her throwing an axe at a sectopod
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
also I love her lil tail :3
Raine "Spectre" Elliot
Tumblr media
Okay she was a weird little cis guy when I got her but I since turned her into a cool transgender half alien gal :>>>>
Tumblr media
I gave her that cool lil mask and also gave her the Apex/Titanfall Ash voicelines bc like... idk felt with the vibe of that mask
She also has the WRAITH suit which allows her to phase through stuff so like she's very cool and ghost coded. Idk much else abt her yet but her bondmate is a cool sharpshooter lady and when that happened I was like "yeah slay okay they're girlfriends"
Tumblr media
I have a lot of other xcom sillies (including literally ottacon) but this post is getting waay long. Thank you for the ask!!! I love my xcom sillies and love talking about them

Sinned Awakening will always be one of my favorite Elvis fics. I recommend for people to read it all the time lol. Love your writing so much but I have to ask, do you have a favorite chapter you’ve written so far? 🩶
Oh my gosh honey you're so sweet! Thank you for talking about my story and loving vampire Elvis as much as I do!💖 I love any messages from people who have just discovered the fic or have been following along since the very beginning!
Agh, it's so hard to pick one though! I really loved writing the first two chapters and building the mystery of who Elvis was. I could have prolonged his angsty, moody self in those first couple chapters but it would probably be way too long haha.
I liked writing any parts that were in his perspective too. I felt like that was a real challenge to get his side of the story and make it believable. Especially what he thought of reader those first few days of meeting them. He was always so weak for reader, he was just in denial.😝
I think my favorite ✨spicy✨ chapter was this last one in 20.2🤭 Something about subby Elvis is quite nice but also having him dominate is all too much too🫣
I'd love to hear your favorite chapter! Thank you as always!
🖤Sam

Happy DFF China! Your post inspired me — let’s hear about Sam/Dean/John. Do you see it as D/J already together and Sam joining, D/S already together and John joining, or all three getting together at once?
happy dadfucker friday spike! ❤ i have more than one answer to this question.
the first is: if we're talking in character, canon compliant, then i don't see any iteration of samjohndean *ever* happening. especially pre-series. largely in part for my enduring headcanon that Sam Knows and his feelings towards johndean are an absolute dumpster fire. partially as you'd expect - few things could be more horrifying than something like that happening in your family. having to live with that. having to get up for school tired af because you were up all night listening to your father blow your brother's back out. wishing you could have been kept awake by absolutely anything else.
is there also a sense of betrayal re dean; a sense that something that belongs to sam has been taken from him? and does sam look at dean sometimes - or, more specifically, look at *john* looking at dean, in this way that makes sam feel like his own skin is on backwards - and feel sick and dirty, because the last thing he is supposed to feel when he sees that is *jealous*? maybe. but fuck, does he hate john. he hates john for doing this to dean. and, by extension, to him.
so that being said i doubt sam would ever want in on a dadfucker threeway. i think he'd take quite a self righteous stance about it all and find it easier to hate/feel angry at them for this awful twisted thing than ever get to a place of trying to understand it. which is a totally understandable reaction, angry brotherlusting aside. but i do see sam understanding, or at least trying understand a bit more, when he's older. as it starts to become clear that dean is all he has and will ever have... because maybe john, all those years ago, felt some version of that too.
the only time i can see a dadfucker threeway maybe possibly happening, if you twisted my arm and pushed to the edges of my imagination, is after the daddycest bible in motion: dead man's blood. sam and john suddenly having a connection they didn't have before, what with the whole SO burning on the ceiling thing. dean overwhelmed at having his family back together again. all that emotion, sam's fresh trauma, john's old wound, the same for the first time ever; possibly copious amounts of alcohol; but it would require sam to have a real Moment of realising his family are all he has left in the world. and it would have to be a really low Moment - sam is only 22 at this point, he's so young and something so awful has just happened to him, and maybe he needs his dad? his big brother? he needs that comfort no matter how it comes? even if he's not quite drinking the family is everything kool aid yet - that is the only way and time at all i can ever see sam getting or wanting to get involved with his dad and his brother's incestuous shenanigans. (and if this were to happen idk i'd really want a sammy sandwich. john and dean wanting to take their best care possible of their golden boy 🥰... and this also lends itself nicely to a bit of jealousy from dean... john is never *that* soft and gentle with him, not like he is with sam... and what's all that about? is sam still the favourite, even *now*? does dean not just get this one thing from dad to himself? well, squash that one in the ignore-repress box for the next ten years...)
and then, from an out of character and warped/gross perspective, i see this going one of two ways (going dead dove now, tw non con):
bastard john/object dean- remember how i said before about john sharing dean with sam as an eighteenth birthday present? that vibe, because i think about this way too much. a cultlike version of john so used to using dean as a fucktoy that when sam comes of age the best present john can think of is letting sam, the golden son, in on the fun. who knows, maybe john's been promising this to sam for some time. maybe dean isn't even aware it's going to happen until the day of. but he knows what he's for and he knows what he's good at, and he so badly wants to be good for sam as well.
sam never made it to stanford, at least not on time. someone found the letter among his things. john and dean were having none of it. cue nasty corrective stuff. because if they can just make sam understand, if they can just show sam how good things can be here, with them, how they as a family can take care of each other, give each other everything they need... what more could he want?
