How They Reacted After You Announced ‘ I’m Pregnant.’

Ft : Ran Haitani, Sanzu Haruchiyo, Rindou Haitani, Kakucho Hitto.

note : im not really sure how obgyn’s work totally so if it doesnt make sense, sorry.

Ran Haitani— Calm but crying internally.

He literally was pale for at least a good minute or two, this man was horrified, not in a bad way but not in a good way yk? Ran was trying real hard not to just pass out due to the shock, this dude isn’t ever known for getting shocked, he’s the most nonchalant person you could know but he was actually having a panic attack, yep.

“ Ran, i’m pregnant.”

He was actually enjoying his coffee until he spat on his new crisp suit when you said that, thanks to you. Ran had to look you in the eyes to make sure your lying or not until you shoved the pregnancy test up into his face, “ What..” He wasn’t disappointed since he knew this would come sooner or later but right now.?

For goodness sakes, he was so busy with his life currently, could he even handle a child? Ran was currently stuck in a whirlpool of thoughts about the future and this child until your voice poled through his thoughts “ Um hello, earth to Ran?” He shot his head towards your eyes as you sighed, “ I know your life is really busy as of right now but I wanted to keep the child even if it would be hard to raise, what do you think?” Tapping nails on the table as the mans mouth was left agape from shock as he was deep in thought “ Are you being serious?” Nodding your head towards the Bonten executive, “ I mean.. this is a big change, you know. We’ll get through it together though.” A shaky smile was sent towards you.

This played a big part for Ran since he never really grew up with a father figure much less a mother figure in his and Rindou’s life due to them walking out at a young age to fend for themselves on the streets of Japan. Though, this decision was a new level of mature, he was for sure not to regret this life changing moment.

Sanzu Haruchiyo— Shocked and confused.

Mf would probably ask “ How!?!” As if he wasn’t apart of it LMFAO, would definitely leave the house and go do Bonten business for at least like a day and then come home to you apologizing on his knees, for sure. He’d be scared for the child in your tummy since he was never loved as a child obviously but with a little comfort and a lot of reassurance from you, he was okay. ( He’d probably get drunk and would come home.)

“ Haruchiyo, I think we need to talk.”

Your boyfriend stared at you cluelessly thinking he was in trouble, literally, as a deep sigh was heard from you “ I’m pregnant.” silence “ And, im keeping the baby.” Sanzu looked like his eyes were about to gouge out “ What, how?!” He raged out.

To be quite honest, he’s never imagined having kids due to his traumatic childhood.

He looked for any signs of you lying and obviously couldn’t find any as you handed the pregnancy test to him, Sanzu was visibly shaking and then stood up abruptly, grabbing his pistol on the coffee table and walked out with his keys, jacket, and of course, his infamous bottle of pills.

It had literally been over three days and no signs of Sanzu were tracked, of course you didn’t want to contact any Bonten members due to the fact, you didn’t even have their numbers.

You read the digital clock on the coffee table that Sanzu’s pistol was once on three days ago, 11:37, you sighed and tied up your hair as you locked the front door of the penthouse and closed the door of your bedroom, getting ready for bed.

Drifting into a sleep until you heard the front door open as you jumped up and locked the bedroom door, you grabbed the gun inside of the small safe under Sanzu’s night stand and hid in the corner of the generously large room.

Lazy footsteps could be heard through the hallway as you prepared for the worst scenarios despite the fact that you lived on the 73rd floor in a penthouse, dumb you.

With a rattling door handle, you gripped the gun and turned the safety off while putting your finger on the trigger, “ Break down the door and i’ll shoot through the door!” You yelled towards the intruder as the door handle stopped moving as adrenaline flew through you.

It was quiet, very quiet until you heard a stutter “ S me princess, ‘m sorry for leavin..” A very slurred and obviously drunk Sanzu was currently apologizing as the adrenaline rush stopped.

You opened up the safe and locked the pistol back up as you unlocked the door, finding a sight you’ve never seen before.

Sanzu was currently on his knees with hazy, teary eyes as you could hear soft sniffles from him with a couple tears running down his cheeks, “ M’ so sorry.” He slurred out with a reek of alcohol that was very clear on his clothes and in his mouth.

Rindou Haitani— Found out before you could tell him.

As cliche as it sounds, he found out before you could tell him. You were probably cooking dinner and he went to use the guest bathroom instead, due to the fact, it was literally the closest to the kitchen. I just know he found the test on the counter and had a whole question mark above his head and contemplated whether to ask you about it or not, which he did ofc. ( definitely the most chill out of all of them.)

“ I’m home!”

Keys jangled with the sounds of sizzling vegetables on a pan with footsteps of fancy dress shoes as Rindou took off his shoes from work, taking off all his layers of clothing and neatly folding it to pick it up after dinner.

You were cooking dinner as Rindou sneaked up behind you, wrapping his arms around you and peeking from behind your shoulder to see what was for dinner as you smiled at him.

You had just gotten home from work around an hour ago and ran to the store to get a pregnancy test which you took in the guest bathroom since you knew Rindou wouldn’t find it because he never uses the guest bathroom, much to your suspicions, all of the tests you took were all positive. (yay for you)

Rindou walked away from you as you glanced at him and returned back to cooking, “ I’m gonna use the bathroom, be right back.” He winked at you with a chuckle as you sautéed the vegetables.

Closing the restroom door as he walked inside the bathroom, a couple pregnancy tests were present on the counter as he picked one up, looking it front to back and then looked at the lines, 1 line and.. 2 lines.

He shoved it into his pocket and went about his restroom business, obviously.

Rindou walked up towards you as you were already putting both plates on the table as you sat down, smiling at Rindou as he sat down, giving you the signature Haitani smirk.

You grabbed a fork, munching onto the homemade food you made as Rindou just stared at you, “ What are you staring at , Rindou?” You looked up at your fiancé as he shrugged “ Nothing.” Nodding as you began eating once more.

Pulling out the pregnancy test that he stuffed inside his pocket, he held it up “ Whats this.?” At such a surprise, you choked on your food as Rindou handed you water while internally face palming himself due to your obvious clumsiness.

You let out a giggle and looked into Rindou’s eyes, “ You know what it is, Haitani.” A grin could be seen on your face “ Confident, coming from someone who just choked on their food.” A shared laugh was heard at the dining table.

Kakucho Hitto— Happy and excited.

It was actually a planned pregnancy, so no, your child was not an accident literally. You and Kakucho were actually in a good place and have been trying for a couple months now and you guys both found out at the same that you were currently 7 weeks pregnant, this man will make lists about everything he needs to buy for when you deliver the baby which definitely isn’t soon.

Kakucho was currently carrying a notepad along with a black pen, checking down everything on his list to make sure nothing is forgotten when you guys go to the doctors after trying for a little while.

Like a gentleman, Kakucho held your hand proudly and rubbed your hand with his thumb as you guys waited for the doctor to call you guys into a room as you meekly fidgeted with Kakucho’s hand nervously.

“ Mr and Mrs. Hitto?”

You guys got up as Kakucho carried the tote bag and your purse, holding your hand while being side by side with you, marching behind the doctor like a proud soldier of his country.

Laying down on a table, you shivered at the cold gel onto your stomach as the doctor moved the ultrasound transducer on your belly as she looked around inside your stomach, searching for any signs of life until she paused and looked at her screen, seeing a tiny fetus, the size of 3/8 of a grape.

She looked up towards you and smiled “ Do you see what I see, ma’am?” You nodded as you looked towards Kakucho, he was currently shocked, mouth agape as you chuckled at him.

now im curious as to how disaster!amanda would be in a courtmangelarasha situation. does she pine for the three of them and is genuinely clueless about the reciprocated feelings? is she in a constant state of ‘are they flirting with me or just fucking with me’ ?

HMMM. so the thing about throuple/quartet dynamics is imo, that adding more people to a dynamic is not an addition problem as much as it is like. algebra. yknow. or calculus. w/e. Its not just adding a person, its interplay between all parties involved and their individual and combined dynamics. So while this is probably meant lightheartedly, unfortunately, I ended up thinking extensively about logistics and the how of this, since IMO that changes what Disaster!Amanda looks like and I really want it to feel. Legit. or as legit as RPF gets lmfao.

as always, this is all about RPF amanda, not real amanda, and this is specifically about like, my version of rpf amanda.

in general I think the tricky thing about pining Amanda is that she strikes me as someone to, upon realizing her emotions, either actually have a direct, adult conversation with the person about it, or actively go "oh no". and then do everything in her power to lock that shit down.

So. Hypothetical Amanda might be less of a disaster if she had similar feelings about multiple people simultaneously, over time. I think a key part to my version of disaster!amanda is her being caught off guard, acting in a panic, and then the shitshow that spirals out from that + doubling down. Amanda developing feelings for the three of them over time without confessing to anyone, i think means by the time we hit the full quartet, Amanda would have either tried to do something about communicating, or have somewhat of a handle on how to deal with her feelings solo. (Which could be a great angst thing! But maybe less comedic by that point.)

So in a scenario where Amanda is the only one really out of the loop... hmmm. Tricky for me to immediately come up with the setup. It might need to be something similar to my S&B Courtmangela setup in which the three (Court Arasha Angela) get close and Amanda is like. Fine about it. (Smosh Mouth FOMO tattoo joke style but dialed up x5). And she's flirting with them to deal with it, and they're flirting back, and it just. Keeps escalating. I think there needs to be an element of like, maybe Amanda not realizing she likes them all that way, just knowing she's feeling kind of. Left behind. And she's flirting with them, and they flirt back, and lets be real I think Amanda is the type where if you flirt with her as a bit she Will Double Down, so it would just Keep Going. I think the angst dial is dependent on how much Amanda recognizes her feelings- either she Knows and she's going to hide it from them or die trying (devastating), or she really Doesnt Realize until it culminates in a deeply funny way. Someone is in a kiss with tongue. Shayne is losing his mind because his friend is. A fool. <3

(Angst central: Amanda starts almost exclusively flirting with them when interacting instead of holding proper conversations bc she feels. bad. and is deflecting. Courtney and Angela especially start noticing because hey. They arent clueless. What the fuck. That sucks. Maybe Arasha has to be the one to actually talk to her about it BC Courtmangela have more deeply established ties that are in further jeopardy.............)

OPTIONALLY. if the feelings towards everyone differ drastically/change over time, then it brings back in that fun element of "oh shit oh god oh fuck".

Knowing she would probably try to communicate like an adult, I think there's a lot of fun with the disaster!Amanda in this universe being Amanda not realizing her own additional feelings until comedically late/after other people have already figured it out bc she just doesn't register it as that/is misreading her own emotions/it happens WHILE SHES ALREADY dating one or two of them.

(And again, critically, flirting is happening through all this but not everyone is formally in a relationship.)

My initial instinct about this was "Amangela Courtrasha first", and then the merge. I think a hilarious route for that would be your standard Amangela story, then that all gets sorted. And some time into the relationship, Angela has figured out Amanda's feelings (and her own) towards Courtney and Arasha. + that the flirting that keeps happening is mutual. And so we get:

Angela, loves Amanda (and courtrasha), has slowly realized that Amanda Does Not Realize Her Feelings: 'and you love them too, so-'

Amanda (was staunchly in denial, thought she was safe after figuring out her feelings towards Angela): I WHAT. what. oh shit. THATS what that is???

Or we could have Courtmanda and Arangela first. For max comedy we could have Courtney assuming that Amanda DOES know and so is unbothered by Amanda and Angela acting... well........ wellll...... 👀 and Amanda feels. maybe strange about watching Courtney and Arasha together, not bad but. Strange. (Esp because Amanda has also been looking at Arasha more but maybe she doesnt admit that.) She talks to Court and Courtney compares it to her and Ang and Amanda is okay with them all being- equal, right? (they mean dating but that is lost in the convo). Amanda (clueless) goes. oh like me and ang. of course. :)

And then eventually Angela kisses Amanda and Amanda freaks out and tells Courtney and they're like. .... Amanda did you not know. Amanda tell me you knew. Amanda how did you not realize.

it all works out though. :)

Arasha and Amanda first I'm still thinking about. Maybe a FWB sitch and then... hmm. i might have spent too long on this ask as it is lmfao. ANYWAY. fun ask. sorry if this isnt what you expected.. Unfortunately to me, a 4 person dynamic is not 1 dynamic. its 5-6 dynamics in a trenchcoat.

ok so after the celty talk earthworm starts talking about how izaya's been having celty talk to both heaven's slave and gather information on amphisbaena lately

and by the time we see him he's actually stopped responding to everything - earthworm even says "looks like your kid sisters are here" izaya doesnt move, nor does he react when she threatens to set him on fire, or even when heaven's slave storms the building

it's just interesting idk. maybe it's showing how things are starting to go how he's predicted, maybe he's just tired of the whole nervous act, maybe he got bored of all the water getting poured on him and fell asleep lmfaoskghkfd

and then we get THIS guy coming in a voice filter and automatically you're like wait maybe THAT's izaya?? it must be izaya right??

and the voice starts talking like hey. what do the leaders of heaven's slave (mr. kumoi) and amphisbaena (lizard) have in common. they both have moles under their eyes teehee! and now for the man under the bag -

AND THIS IS SUCH A GOOD PSYCHE OUT CUZ IT'S LIKE BROOOOOO IF YOU JUST TIED UP YOUR LEADER YOU'RE FUCKED SIX WAYS FROM SUNDAY

and finally when the HS guy says "i'm gonna cut the knot" does izaya react (there can't be a switchblade scene without izaya in it. he needs to have the spotlight)

and we hear his voice finally!! and it IS izaya (hiroshi kamiya i could sense you from a mile away)

and yeah what WERE you about to do man?? that was NOT the rope you were aiming for

and the tension here is inSANE like this is so theatrical and dramatic that im convinced izaya was kicking his legs in his bed like a schoolgirl thinking about how funny it was going to be

he rehearsed this in the bathroom mirror for sure he's such a fucking loser

and he's so casual about it too while the other two were having a breakdown :sob: he KNOWS what he was doing

this was a very izaya-centric episode i dont know if there's any more like this but i will absolutely watch the shit out of them if there are so please tell me of them

and of course we have to end off with shizaya because yes

character bingo… Seimei . i think his potential has been wasted but who hasn’t had their full potential erased in onmyoji LMAO

OK SO HES . . . DEFINITELY SOMEONE I ROTATE IN MY BRAIN . . . BUT MOSTLY IN RELATION TO SOMEONE ELSE.

1. Absolutely wasted potential. We still havent gotten a SINGLE clarification for turquoise seimei and it genuinely doesnt look like we're getting any any time soon. 😭. It like drives me up the wall bc unpopular opinion turquoise seimei is my FAVORITE seimei and i rlly wish we cld get him as a skin 😭😭😭

BUT a lot of my thoughts concerning him are in relation to Shuten, Arakawa (ofc), & Tamamo. The most i rlly think of him by himself are for like . . . My indulgent domestic onmyoji courtyard au where i develop seimei & co's living space LMFAO.

I think hes a bit cuntish. But i also think hes really sweet, and Aware of himself to the extent he Can be aware of himself. I honestly love him 2 death but i Mean 2 death in that i will beat him to death hes still an asshole (thank god)

But um. Like. Goign into the dynamics.

Him & shuten have unexplored shit. Imo. If im remembering timelines right, on top of if we actually still have documentation of all of their interactions 🥲. But i think smth a lot of ppl dont think about is What was seimei doing in the time of the initial purge on Mt Oe, on top of Why does ibaraki come to accept him, let alone shuten when he gets his memories back. Im like 90% sure turquoise seimei was still together during this time and i think this wldve been interesting for the three of them to go over. I dont have this fully thought out but it Is something i think abt esp for any possibilities that seimei at the time might have been some kind of aid. Bc again, he was both Shiro and Kuro-- i wldnt specifically put it past him, iirc he was aware of his kitsune heritage during this time period. Dont think it'd be possible bt food for thought

As for arakawa i literally have no basis for them i just think they should gay kiss on the mouth and seimei goes through a heavy depression spell when he dies and also kingyo calls them slurs. <3

BUT FOR FUCJING TAMAMO. Thats his uncle first of all bt SECOND OF ALL i dont think ill be able to get into everything but theres so so much to be explored with seimei and tamamo and i really wish this had been a prime focus for SP Tamamo, along with focus on Dodomeki and Yuki Doji in reconciling family. They did the family run for Sp Enma they couldve done it for sp tamamo!!!! But also like theres So much there w both of the seimeis to tamamo. And even turquoise seimei?!?!? What was going on then. What was tamamo thinking in that time period, esp if seimei really did participate in the purge on mt oe? But Seimei is so closely tied to one of THE most powerful spirits and it just feels like they dont do enough concerning it?? They barely even do enough for tamamo himself and it drives me fucking insane. I know tamamo has involvement in the minamotos(? I remember him disguising himself and dropping smth abt it in a cg to seimei?) But idk man . . . Tamamo needs more screentime with seimei. Esp with recent hints on kuzunoha and the like . . . . .

HES GONNA DESTROY KINOKO KINGDOM BECAUSE, SIMILAR TO DREAMS DOWNFALL LEADING UP TO DOOMSDAY AND THE DISK FINALE, SAPNAP HAS REALIZED THAT GOOD THINGS DONT LAST ON THE SERVER, LEAST OF ALL FOR HIM, SO HE'LL GET RID OF THEM HIMSELF

The pathway hes standing on looks like the prime path or the pathways leading up to the prison. you can tell based on like the- the wood and chiseled stone bricks. hes near the community house in the end frame where he pulls out the sword. the fact that he pulls out a sword feels important as well because if he was just destroying things, he would use flint and steel or tnt or some other kind of destructive material. but swords? swords are only good for bamboo, cobwebs, and killing in minecraft. so hes definitely preparing to either kill or fight someone as he approaches the community house.

The flashes of kinoko kingdom that appear over sapnap looking at the community house in both the past and present lead me to believe that he's mentally connecting them, as in seeing history repeat itself, and that the symbols of his past memories are "gone" hence the title. So using that kind of inference, he's probably killing someone at the community house, someone that has some kind of connection to kinoko kingdom and probably doomsday or the past in some way.

that narrows things down pretty well in my eyes to Dream, George, Karl, Quackity, or Sam.

I don't think it's Dream. If he's going to kill Dream, why show the community house and not the prison or something? Or allude to the prison in anyway? I feel like their relationship will be an important factor in the Sapnap lore but I don't think that's who sapnap is planning to fight/kill.

Similarly, I don't think it's Karl. Yes Karl's in Kinoko Kingdom and is connected to memory and time and all that, but... he doesn't have the same connections to the past of the smp. He has a lot of lore but its mostly background type of lore i guess? its not tied to a lot of the major plot events, and while its affected sapnap, I don't think its gotten to the point of sapnap wanting to fight or kill karl yet.

George has been there since the beginning with Sapnap and Dream, so he's got the connections to the past, plus he's in Kinoko Kingdom with Sapnap. We also know due to his Dreaming lore that he still cares about Dream and wants him to come back and be with them again outside of the prison. He wants to ignore all the bad Dream has done because he cares for him more than he cares for the server overall. This could be an interesting conflict between their characters and I think it's possible, though unlikely because this is George we're talking about. My mans doesn't DO serious lore like this.

That leaves Quackity and Sam, who honestly id be satisfied with it being either of these two, but I think Quackity is more likely. I'll explain.

Quackity is not in Kinoko Kingdom, it's true, but this is a source of conflict for him. He's upset that he's not in Kinoko Kingdom, that his fiancées didn't invite him to their new country especially after spending so much time building a new country for all of them together. We also have many shots from Quackity's own lore streams which show him walking along that same path to get to the prison. Could be a coincidence, but personally? Personally I think it's an interesting parallel, especially when you take in to consideration that in Sapnap's prison visit lore stream he mentioned not wanting Dream to escape, but that he still cared for Dream and loved him even though he fucked up big time. Maybe Sapnap finds out that Quackity has been torturing Dream somehow and goes to confront him about it? This situation makes the most sense to me, at least compared to Sam

Sam lines up with the messages about the past and the community house and the connection between the original SMP/history with the current SMP, but he really doesnt have any connection to Kinoko Kingdom that I'm aware of. He could approach Sam possibly for allowing Quackity to torture Dream in prison, or something along those lines, but ehhhh Makes sense, would work for him to do that, but I'm not really sure how to tie that into the Kinoko Kingdom evidence yet.

No matter what happens though, I'm SO excited for Sapnap lore becuase I think his character is definitely one of the most fascinating on the server and yknow what? ill say it im biased i just think hes neat

Ok but,,,,,,,,I am foaming at the mouth at the idea of a tnt duo killing eve au. Wilbur is obviously villanelle

ughhh see i love killing eve but in my mind the appeal of it is that they're both women like i can't imagine loving the show as much if its two dudes. the arc and trajectory of the show is so informed by womanhood that i cant imagine tntduo filling eve and villanelles shoes at all. nor can i really imagine wilbur as a killer? i definitely see wilbur having a fixation on quackity though so i get how we arrived at the comparison

i dont really like when ppl compare w+q to hannibal and will graham either because i definitely see wilbur riling quackity up, getting in his personal space, baiting him down to his level, but i dont see him doing it in the same calculated, manipulative, cold manner that hannibal does. and again, wilbur isnt a killer.

wilbur's fixation with quackity is more akin to acting out trying to get someone to pay attention to you, its sort of childish, which is in line with villanelle, but in my mind killing eve is so intricately tied to femininity and two women's fixation with each other that putting it with w+q doesnt really make sense to me. it feels like doing eve and villanelle dirty to drag q+w into it LMFAO

i think what would be more accurate is an au where rather than being a killer of any kind, wilbur is more blowing things up in the city for political reasons. quackity, as a venture capitalist or something in the area, starts trying to figure out who's behind all of the bombings on his properties, but wilbur likes the attention so he develops that fixation and starts acting out in ways specifically geared toward quackity.

if anyone is a killer between the two of them its quackity and he has more of a "i hate myself" vibe to him when he succeeds in being violent so i dont think he would act out to get wilburs attention.

have you ever heard of this “Star Trek” show I think it’s pretty good

gonna keep going off about it 1 sec

tbh I didnt think the original series would be this good! and the first few episodes of season 1 threw me mainly because there was bizarro inappropriate workplace banter about women and I’ve only properly known TNG so I was like um wh- but like that specific phenomenon Stopped. Sure it’s old but it’s... like... it’s not bad homies I think it holds up!

Like they still do that “theres a beautiful woman I am dumbstruck with love within 12 seconds thing” every other episode but I dont know man, I can forgive star trek for that, I at least long since got used to that on TNG lol im just kinda like sure ok you have chemistry and you’re instantly in love ok ok however you wanna live your life. tis a laugh but its fine.

But I dont think kirk is so bad either like. idk I got the impression that he was badly acted but hes literally not? maybe the choreography is all a little wacky in fights and stuff but lmfao as a character he’s fine, the acting is good?

anyway it’s all just been unexpected like some of its a little goofy or some of it takes a while to get to the point when the Message of the episode is quite obvious, but like. That’s just Star Trek for ya. I mean anyway like I enjoy games with shitty old graphics (or some outdated attitudes) I dont really find that kind of thing a barrier and it doesnt like take me out of the setting u know?

TLDR I was expecting adam west batman from this okay, like that’s the quicker way of explaining. I thought itd be fun and cheesy, and it IS, but it’s also. Straight up decent and good.

PS and I possibly like it Just As Much as TNG, I’m not going to say ‘more than’ yet but dont underestimate the influence of having a Fave who is 1/2 the lead of the show LIKE... yes Data was in a lot of episodes and I also love picard and riker and so on but TOS delivers spock dopamine Every Episode like broooooooooooooo. bro. m8.

PS2 I know y’all are DS9ers I am keen and fully intend to watch it the only thing stopping me is that the series is so long and I KNOW I have no restraint and it WILL consume me for weeks and be detrimental to my already-abysmal productivity its just hard to make that dive lmao maybe the midyear the break.

so like planned, at exactly 8:30 where bakugo would be knocked out cold, you three would start your grand fools day joke

“babe, i’m getting tired” bakugou yawns as you two watch tv in the common room

“awww is it time for boom boom baby’s bedtime?” you cooed, pinching his cheeks

bakugo huffs and pulled you closer to his chest

literally 5 mins just passed and apparently bakugo cant take it anymore

“i’m sleepy. i’m going to sleep now” he checks the time on his phone and it deadass reads 8:05 PM

“goodnight katsuki” you kissed his cheek briefly to which he returns your love with a kiss on the lips

“night” he smiles, walking back to his room

after the coast is clear

both kirishima and todoroki emerge from the kitchen holding up what seems to be a plastic bag filled with hair dye

“let’s get this bread” kirishima giggles as you and todoroki share a knowing look

~an hour into dyeing your hair~

“holy fuck kiri how do you deal with this shit every other week” you whined as they placed your head above the sink for what seems like the nth time tonight

“stop whining” todoroki tsked as he holds half of your hair up

“stop scolding me who are you? my fucking dad?” you retort sending ur bff a glare

todoroki literally flicks your forehead but he forgot he got dye in his fingers now your forehead is stained in the color of red

“SHOTO WHAT THE FUCK” you screamed as you rapidly wiped your forehead

“heh you sound like my dad” he snickers

kirishima had to deal with the two of you for 4 fucking hours

but luckily those hours are over since the look is complete

you looked in front of the mirror with todoroki and kirishima beside you

“hOLY FUCK YOU GUYS” you squealed, twirling your hair with your fingers

“looks sick dude” kirishima comments, complimenting his work which is the hair job lmfao

“sho look we’re twins!” you turned to todoroki and gave him your iconic grin he grew up with

“i wish we were actually twins y/n” he says with a small smile pulling you into a side hug

you know what he means by that

you quickly thanked the two boys for their hard work and you tied your hair with some plastic so it doesn’t stain your pillows and shit

+ you had to get some beauty sleep to surprise your mans

fast forward to the next day

since bakugo sleeps early, he also wakes up early

and when he went downstairs to the bathroom to do his business he almost had an heart attack and blew up the boys bathroom after seeing the red stained sink

“fucking shitty hair and his shit he doesnt clean up” he grumbles to himself, staring at the sink

you on the other hand, you overslept because at the time you went to bed last night

so bakugo had to come all the way to your room to wake you the fuck up

bakugo knows you dont lock your door cs everyone probably knows by now that you’re dating him so if anyone who isnt bakugo goes to your room might be killed by bakugo himself if he finds out

and what bakugo saw was something he thought he only saw in movies

my boy lost all the color in his face when he noticed icy hot’s hair IN YOUR BED

(what he assumed was todoroki)

its safe to say you were awoken by the smell of burning caramel and explosions going off in your room

“FUCK IM AWAKE” you jolt up from your bed in high alert after literally witnessing a grenade go off in your room

“WHAT THE FUCK?!” bakugo YELLS the moment he saw your hair color

you faced bakugo who was literally at the brink of crying cause mans thought you were ch**t*ng on him behind his back

“KATSUKI” you laughed, walking near him to give him a hug

bakugo was holding in his tears at this point

he wiped a stray tear angrily and sniffled

“WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT FOR” he croaked, his nose getting red

“IT WAS APRIL FOOLS. I’M SORRY” you apologized, holding his face

so basically everyone in 1-a was outside your room wondering what the fuck happened

todoroki took the liberty and opened your door to see you holding bakugo like he was a baby

“it was todoroki’s idea by the way” you throw todoroki under the bus, bakugo stays silent and just lets you hold him lmfao

“haha april fools” todoroki laughs as he watched bakugo cry

bakugo turns around and gave him the bakuglare™

which todoroki understood as “get the fuck out”

so he leaves quietly and gave you a smile of accomplishment on the way out

you let out a laugh and turned your attention to bakugo again

“i’m so hurt right now i don’t even know what to say” he starts, “but i’m not gonna ignore the fact you look good in it” bakugo admits

“i’m going have to punish you for making me think of things” bakugo says through gritted teeth before scooping you up at ease and throwing you to your bed

jotaro kujo song analysis: “eight” by sleeping at last

i could not figure out what the fuck to title this for a long time. please forgive me ik it’s awkward but it’s the best i got

anyway the song “eight” by sleeping at last made me mentally ill so let’s get into why <3

be warned there are part 3, part 4, part 5, and part 6 spoilers in this

with that let’s begin.

“I remember the minute;/it was like a switch was flipped --/i was just a kid who grew up strong enough/to pick this armor up,/and suddenly it fit” Lengthy first line to start this on i know but cutting it up didn’t make sense so please forgive me… Alright let’s get to the meat of this hm? This line is about when jotaro first manifested star platinum. “I remember the minute, it was like a switch was flipped” fits perfectly with how suddenly and obviously star platinum became known to its user, as jotaro first manifests it when he’s in the middle of a fight, a fight star platinum ends very quickly and brutally. The “i was just a kid who grew up strong enough to pick this armor up” is about jotaro having the willpower to control a stand such as star platinum and not get ill over it. He “grew up strong enough to pick this armor up”, this armor being star platinum (which, yes, star platinum is armor more than a weapon because its strength is used to protect. This is stated explicitly in the jin hashimoto song “star platinum” which was written specifically with jotaro/star platinum in mind, as the title suggests). It also shows how young jotaro was re the “kid” description; he was only 17, the youngest jojo up to that point. the “and suddenly it fit” also mixes with how suddenly star platinum manifested, particularly how jotaro gained passable control over it very quickly

“God, that was so long ago, long ago, long ago…/I was little, I was weak, I was perfectly naive,/and I grew up too quick.” Another long line im sorry it just doesnt make sense to cut it up 😭 Anyway this is part 6 jotaro reflecting on his past self, PARTICULARLY part 3 jotaro, which explains the “god, that was so long ago, long ago, long ago…” segment “I was little, i was weak, i was perfectly naive” is kinda gold coming from part 6 jotaro cause end of part 3 jotaro is canonically when he’s at his strongest but i dont think part 6 jotaro is talking about star platinum in this line. He’s talking about jotaro being tactless and rude and pushing away his loved aways in a disillusioned attempt to keep them safe. By part 6, jotaro has to have known his coping mechanism of self-imposed isolation wasnt fair to his loved ones/himself and it clearly didnt WORK as evidenced by jolyne’s situation, so he’s cursing his younger self for it here. Hence, the calling of part 3 jotaro “little, weak, perfectly naive.” part 3 jotaro starts making the bed that part 6 jotaro ends up having to lay in and he hates him for it. The “and I grew up too quick” part is jotaro acknowledging his trauma. Even before part 3 started jotaro clearly had issues and they just kept building and building and building from part 3 and on. Combined with his self-imposed isolation, jotaro had to grow up quick to survive, and this line is part 6 jotaro reflecting on that

“Now you won’t see all that i have to lose,/all i’ve lost in the fight to protect it.” Remember the self-imposed isolation i mentioned in the last line? This line is about why jotaro does that. He hates being vulnerable. He hates relying on others. We only see him comfortable trusting others to take care of things ONCE the entire series, during the steely dan arc, when he believes in kakyoin’s abilities to keep joseph safe and get the lovers out of him safely. ONCE out of the four parts he’s featured in, out of the three he’s prominent in. jotaro does this, as i previously mentioned, out of a disillusioned attempt to keep those he loves safe, hence the “now you won’t see all that i have to lose” line. This behavior is solidified in jotaro at the end of stardust crusaders, when the two final times he tried to trust that others would handle it resulted in the deaths of over of half those he cared the most about (he may have gotten joseph back, but don’t forget that joseph did actually die). Thus, this decisive night ties into the “all i’ve lost in the fight to protect it” line. He’s lost loved ones but he won’t lose them again, not in the same way at least. Ironically, the self-imposed isolation only puts his loved ones and himself in danger, but i can get into that later.

“I won’t let you in, i swore never again --/i can’t afford, no, i refuse to be rejected” This line kinda ties back with what i was mentioning in the last line, but it hones it a bit more on jotaro’s complete denial of being vulnerable rather than how he acts to ensure he isnt such. “I wont let you in, i swore never again” is a direct tie-in for how jotaro feels after stardust crusaders; he is never going to get as close to anyone or anything the way he was close to the crusaders ever again. Nothing is ever going to matter to him the same way and he is going to make sure of that, as the “swore never again” implies, because he is certain, at least at first, that this will keep others safe. The “i can’t afford, no, i refuse to be rejected” part goes into how selfish and arrogant jotaro’s mentality is. Don’t get me wrong, jotaro’s self-imposed isolation can be seen as selfless, especially because the main driving force behind it is to keep others safe -- but it’s not the only force driving it. Like i said, jotaro doesn’t want to be vulnerable, and to be sure he doesnt feel that way, he needs to ensure he won’t be hurt. Can’t be sad when people die if you were never close to them, right? So as much as it is to protect others, he also is protecting himself by closing off from others. It’s also arrogant of jotaro to assume he is the deciding factor of who lives and dies, that he gets to choose/manipulate the cycle of life and death by deciding on if he opens up to others. Jotaro had this mentality of being a “deciding factor” shoved into his head during the journey to egypt, and that kinda warps his worldview as a result; everything must be his fault. Things go bad surely because he let them somehow. And it’s not jotaro’s fault he’s ill in the head like this but it is still arrogant, and the “i can’t afford, no, i refuse to be rejected” line attests to this.

“I want to break these bones until theyre better/i want to break them right and feel alive” Oh jotaro you have the shittiest fuckign coping mechanisms Alright. “I want to break these bones until theyre better” ties into jotaro throwing himself into dangerous situations alone. He’s just so so damn convinced he can handle everything himself -- bc again, he is led to believe he is the deciding factor of life and death -- he just has to try. If things go wrong, it’s bc he didn’t try hard enough, hence the “break these bones until theyre better”; jotaro will hurt himself and will be convinced he deserved it until he “learns” how to be perfect like he’s “supposed” to be. But being perfect isnt something you can learn, you mentally ill motherfucker jotaro. anyway “I want to break them right and feel alive” ties into the fact jotaro would rather break his body over and over and over rather than tell his loved ones he cares. The only right way to be hurt to him is taking a hit that was meant for those he loves. Jotaro is very much a man of action rather than a man of word, and this line is about his rather unique way of acting (that is, getting beat the fuck up over and over) Basically jotaro can’t tell the people he loves that he, well, loves them, unless he is literally dying. Examples of what i mean: jotaro preferred going on a perilous, 50-day journey to just telling holly he loved her; jotaro preferred getting beat over the head with a rock in the lovers arc rather than risk hurting joseph; jotaro preferred to literally get blown up by sheer heart attack rather than tell koichi to his face he is a good kid; jotaro stepped knowingly into a trap for jolyne and had to literally believe he was in fact saying his last words before he uttered “i’ve always cherished you.”

“You were wrong, you were wrong, you were wrong --/my healing needed more than time” Oh my GODDDddDDDdcdd im sobbing as i type jotaro your head is so so damn ill Okay so i see him spitting this line towards joseph. Let me explain Joseph would no doubt pick up on jotaro’s ptsd and he’ll do his best to console jotaro over the deaths of their friends. But see joseph is ALSO an ill in the head idiot whose idea of therapy is electroshock and who calls ptsd “shell shock”. So all he can offer to jotaro is “youll feel better in time” because that was kinda true for him; he managed to move on in time. What joseph fails to realize is what made him feel better was not time, but the support of those remaining in his life (lisa lisa, suziq, erina, smokey). But jotaro listens and tries to give it time but the thing with jotaro is he just gets worse and worse as time wears on because he deliberately cut himself off from anyone who could console him (as well as got continually traumatized throughout his life), so time never helped but actually made things worse. Thus jotaro spitting “you were wrong, you were wrong, you were wrong, my healing needed more than time”. In terms of timeline, probably happens right after part 5 jotaro stares longingly at the crusaders picture

“When i see fragile things, helpless things, broken things/i see the familiar” Im sorry every new line i start to analyze i begin crying so im just letting you all know incase the coherency takes a dip (as if this was coherent in the first place lmfao) Anyway so this line in relation to Jotaro is about how he projects HARD on the new generation. We see this w his interactions w josuke and koichi, the “fragile things” (there is no way he didnt see koichi as a filler for kakyoin im sorry. Also he just wants josuke safe with his friends like how he wished he was safe with his own friends as a teenager), how he was wary of giorno, “the helpless things” (jotaro is scared he’ll be similar to his dad, just like jotaro is similar enough to dio to share the same stand power…), and his interactions w jolyne, “the broken things” (angry teen in a prison? Come now).

“I was little, i was weak, i was perfect too/now i’m a broken mirror” Throwback to the second line. Once again part 6 jotaro is reflecting but the difference here is that part 3 was when jotaro was last unashamedly happy, but more than that, part 3 jotaro was on his way to healing before everything went to shit. like i mentioned earlier, jotaro only relies on someone else completely once, and that happens in part 3. Jotaro is finally able to trust in someone else’s capabilities, which is what he needed to do before he could allow anyone to help him with the weight of the world on his shoulders. Hence, why part 6 jotaro would describe him as “perfect”; because he would’ve been perfect enough if he could just trust in others like that again But as the line suggests, that went wrong. Jotaro is now a “broken mirror,” which alludes to the fact that while he projects onto the kids, the kids (the ones that know him at least) project onto him as well, especially jolyne, because in part 6 she finally figures out her dad’s thought processes, as she is experiencing those patterns of thinking too. Jotaro is a role model for them in the sense of “see him? Do the opposite of what he did” KJ;DNJ;DN;SN

“But i can’t let you see all that i have to lose/all that i’ve lost in the fight to protect it” Same meaning as before mostly but the repetition is important me thinks because it mimics jotaro like frantically trying to remind himself why he must be distant when all he wanted to do was go home to jolyne and be her father

“I can’t let you in --/ i swore never again,/ i can’t afford to let myself be blindsided” This means roughly the same thing as the previous line that’s similar to this, but the “i can’t afford to let myself be blindsided” is less about jotaro’s selfishness/arrogance and more about how he believes enemies will use his loved ones against him and how goddamn, it would work, it would work so well because jotaro loves so, so damn much It’s a shame distancing himself didn’t work the way he wanted it to and ended up making his loved ones even more vulnerable than they would have been otherwise

“I’m standing guard,/i’m falling apart/and all i want to do is to trust you” (Begins screaming and doesn’t stop) okay so this line is about jotaro and jolyne during the beginning of stone ocean “Im standing guard” alludes to the fact that jotaro is still desperately trying to appear distant and uninterested even as he attempts to break his fucking daughter out of prison “I’m falling apart” ties into jotaro failing miserably at remaining cold towards jolyne, how he eventually caves in and tells her he loves her in addition to taking a literal bullet for her, using time stop to ensure he can make it to her to do so. and also this line ties into how he is literally physically shot and how his memories and stand are taken from him “And all i want to do is to trust you” is directed towards jolyne of course. God his whole “i’ve always cherished you” ties in with this line; like i mentioned earlier, jotaro by part 6 knows his self-imposed isolation is useless, but old habits die hard and also he was in very deep by the time he accepted there was no reason to go in the first place at all. So he doesn’t know how to change, he doesn’t know how to trust jolyne, it’d been 20ish years since he last trusted someone completely, but god he wants to. He wants to trust her. It’s all he wants to do hence this line

“Show me how to lay my sword down/for long enough to let you through” So continuing from the last line, jotaro just wants to let jolyne in. he wants to learn how to do that. I think this line is actually directed towards his younger self; 17 year old jotaro managed to let in a person once, after all (more than one person in fact, but all the crusaders). This would also make more sense w my interpretation of how part 6 jotaro calls part 3 jotaro “perfect” in this regard Essentially it’s jotaro thumbing through his memories to figure out how his past self gathered the security to trust in someone else wholeheartedly...which makes the fact that pucci steals his memories particularly fucked up in this context

“Here i am, pry me open/what do you want to know?” Another line directed toward jolyne. “Here i am, pry me open” refers to how after jotaro tells jolyne he cherishes her, all cards are on the table. He’s shown vulnerability, might as well go full throttle. So, he’s willing to talk to jolyne for the first time ever, especially because she’s a stand user now “What do you want to know?” ties into jotaro being willing to open up, but also the fact that jolyne doesnt really know her dad ):

“I’m just a kid who grew up scared enough/to hold the door shut/and bury my innocence” Hhnghg begins wailing this line is again about post-egypt jotaro. A lot of jotaro’s like...emotional maturation (and even some physical) occurred during the trip to egypt and immediately afterward. he’s in pain and desperately trying to rationalize a way he can be in control of never letting something like what happened in egypt happen again, hence the “im just a kid who grew up scared enough” “To hold the door shut” refers to how jotaro cut off other people, even the people who used to know him very well, like joseph and polnareff and holly “And bury my innocence” i mentioned this in another line but this bit also refers to how jotaro had to grow up quickly to survive, considering his self-imposed isolation and his life path of chasing down dio’s remnants

“But here’s a map, here’s a shovel/here’s my Achilles’ heel” This line is SUPPOSED to be directed toward jolyne but inadvertently it is also directed toward pucci. When jotaro says fuck it and gives up on his pretense of disinterest in jolyne, finally letting her know he loves her, he’s finally building the frame of a bridge to jolyne; he’s ready to do what he’s wanted to for so long, no matter how vulnerable it makes him, and that is to be jolyne’s father. However, pucci takes note of this; he knows to aim for jolyne in the final battle because of jotaro’s earlier actions when he tries breaking jolyne out of prison. It really is a shame how the narrative keeps fucking enforcing jotaro’s shitty self-imposed isolation

“I’m all in, palms out, i’m at your mercy now and i’m ready to begin/i am strong, i am strong, i am strong enough to let you in” Hmm i imagine this line being when jotaro meets back up with jolyne after he gets his memory disk back. The first thing he does is hug her and cradle her close to him, showing off to the world, right in front of pucci, how much his daughter means to him. But jotaro, at least for the moment, is not scared to be vulnerable anymore. Ever since he decided to give up his cold facade, he was ready to let jolyne in, and he finally has the chance to do that at least a little right before the final battle, which is what this line is about

“I’ll shake the ground with all my might/i will pull my whole heart up to the surface” Final battle in stone ocean,,, What the “i’ll shake the ground will all my might” line refers to is jotaro’s willingness to use star platinum the world during the battle. He’s ready to go all in to save the world, and most importantly, save jolyne, even if he has to use the source of his greatest trauma to do it. Jotaro’s a key player and he knows it, has known it for a long time, and this time he’s going to use that for his happy ending. And well, as i mentioned in the last line, jotaro’s done with the self-isolation and throws himself into the role of jolyne’s father, at least as much as he has the right to throw himself into. This is mostly what the “i will pull my whole heart up to the surface” line refers to

“For the innocent, for the vulnerable/i’ll show up to the frontlines with a purpose” More stone ocean final battle. The “innocent and vulnerable” jotaro is showing up for are jolyne, namely, but also hermes and emporio, and beyond that, the world. Jotaro understands how serious this is and he’s always been a force meant for protection, so he is here to do just that, which is what the “i’ll show up to the frontlines with a purpose” line refers to. Jotaro doesnt believe he’s a good person -- and he might not be, in the grand scheme of things -- but he does fight for what he believes is right, he always has, he mentions this way back in stardust crusaders during his fight with kakyoin. He’s never going to let injustice stand, especially not when he knows he’s such a key player

“And i’ll give all i have, i’ll give my blood, give my sweat --/an ocean of tears will spill for what is broken” This line actually applies to all the “final battles” jotaro has been involved in; part 3, part 4, and part 6. Jotaro, as i mentioned in the last line, has a strong sense of justice and is a force that first and foremost tries to protect, which the “i’ll give all i have, i’’l give my blood, give my sweat” part of this line refers to. Jotaro gives his all, has given his all, to rid the world of dio’s influence, he ruined his entire fucking life to do so, and this line gives credence to that. “An ocean of tears will spill for what is broken” refers to jotaro mourning all the what-ifs in his life, which are all tied with how the outcomes of these final battles go. If part 3 didnt end the way it did, jotaro would know how to trust still, he wouldve been happy even, maybe he wouldnt have had to sacrifice the rest of his life to dio; if part 4 didn’t end the way it did, maybe jotaro couldve gone home to his daughter, maybe he couldve been a bit of a better dad (this is because kids were involved in part 4 even if they didn’t try to because stand users attract stand users, and jotaro couldnt risk doing that to his daughter, so he ends up never coming home); and now for part 6, jotaro hopes that if it ends just a little better than the previous two, jotaro could at least died a satisfying death of sacrificing himself for jolyne, or maybe even got a chance to try mending his relationship with jolyne if they both survive

“I’m shattered porcelain, glued back together again” So this line speaks to both physical and emotional states Jotaro was physically “shattered porcelain” when he lost his stand and memory and also was shot, and he was “glued back together again” when he got medical attention and jolyne got back his disks Jotaro was emotionally “shattered porcelain” due to the fact he couldnt trust anyone completely since he was 17 goddamn years old but he’s “glued back together again” in the sense he’s ready to finally, finally try and be vulnerable in order to save his relationship with jolyne

“Invincible like i’ve never been” This line hurts so fucking much because i believe jotaro was optimistic, all things considered, at the beginning of the final fight in stone ocean. After all, he knows he’s an important figure in all this, he has his stand disk and memories back, he and jolyne and the others have a plan, and he has a future he wants to fight for in addition to the world’s continued functioning So he feels “invincible” like he’s never felt before because not even during the part 3 final battle with dio did he have the hope for the future he has now. But then. Then pucci brings out the knives. And the man who could control time never had enough in the end. He dies and cant even save jolyne with his death. The world ends. He failed. I think this is perfectly represented with how suddenly the song ends. It just perfectly encapsulates the tragedy that is jotaro kujo and i cant stop fucking thinking about it

Genuinely interested in what you think about Bucky being perceived as female-coded in some parts of the fandom. I read that thread years ago and agreed with because it sounded logical, but now I'm not so sure. Recently found out about the existence of this Tony Stark meta essay called "Tony Stark as the most female-coded superhero" and they use the same arguments: loss of agency, playing the damsel in distress role more often than their counterpart, etc. I can't take "fm-coded" seriously anymore

idk how long this will end up but to preface whatever we do end up with: 1) im a nonbinary lesbian so my perception on what it means to be a woman and femininity in general is not going to be what a lot of other peoples is and 2) im a few months out from getting a degree in gender studies. take that for what you will. no i will not be arguing about this in my inbox.

to be frank, in my opinion, bucky being female coded is bullshit. not only is it bullshit, i have seen it used as a weapon by so many white women and terfs that even if it were true, i wouldnt care! whoever came up with the term “woobify” (which i have most often seen used in reference to how tony stark is treated) needs to tell bucky stans that they aren’t exempt. a lot of them see bucky being a victim as something that needs a continuation into every other part of his life, hence why he’s so often put into these weird dynamics with his ships and given traits he’s never displayed on screen.

i keep thinking of disclaimers to make in anticipation of people coming to my inbox crying so here’s another: if you are a woman or someone who feels a close connection to certain parts of womanhood, me saying bucky isnt woman coded in no way takes away from you identifying with him or parts of his story. that is personal. a woman’s personal relation to him is not reliant on “woman coding” as i’ve seen a lot of white women and terfs suggest, not does it strengthen the existence of such coding. coding is created within the original media, not within the fandom.

i also just realized ive been using the term woman coded rather than female coded, but i think subconsciously there is a reason for that that ties into one of my main points pretty well: the mcu stan’s definition of “female” coding relies on stereotypes, not about female roles, but about what it means in their opinion to be a woman. the issue with this is they take traits they think only exist in (cishet) women and use them to deem these (cishet) male characters as woman coded when in fact these traits are not exclusive to women and enforce weird standards upon people who are women that might not be cis or het or share these traits!

tony stark being short and bucky having long hair is not what would make them woman coded. bucky being rescued by a man while woozy is not what would make him woman coded. bucky being submissive to pierce when LITERALLY BEING BRAINWASHED is not what would make him woman coded. and perhaps a harsh wake up call: bucky’s story hinging around loss of agency issues and trauma in no way shape or form is what would make him woman coded. does it perhaps make him easier for many women to relate to? yes. but is this something exclusive to women? no. a vast majority of trauma victims are going to relate to him, and chalking up trauma to being something female makes me feel really funny.

i know exactly what thread youre talking about lmfao and its right up there on my shit list next to the childlike bucky post. theyre actually very similar now that i think about it ... but anyways. now that ive listed my woes about what doesnt make a character woman coded, what actually would! AND HERE IS WHERE WE GET INTO AN ACTUAL CASE OF WOMAN CODING! mr prequel series anakin skywalker aka my shakespearean downfall dilf. why is he seen as a valid example of woman coding? i will tell you.

the thing about woman coding is that its meant to subvert heteronormative tropes while remaining self aware of that to exploit and emphasize the change. DO YOU HEAR ME? SELF AWARE! anakin is given many of these stupid stereotypical traits i mentioned before, but they arent reliant on physical appearance at all. they are reliant on roles. padme is the levelheaded senate leader, the one with power and stability, while anakin is hotheaded and frankly a bit whimsical while he struggles for his own type of power and control. another classic example of woman coding (which i actually wrote a paper on last semester in my men and masculinities class) is heathcliff from wuthering heights, whose counterpart to his coding is cathy. both men have that whimsicality in common that contrasts heavily with how we would expect them to act. bucky does not act like them at all.

the reason that this is different from bucky and steve’s ‘damsel in distress’ argument is the self awareness i mentioned before. not to mention the weird heteronormative standards being applied as requirements for their gay relationship to be seen as valid because it “fits the narrative” but .. anyways.

anakin and heathcliff both have their subverted traits played up in a way that shows off how ridiculous the women usually written in their roles are forced to act. its tongue in cheek, because woman coding is not only about individual traits, but about how the character interacts with the story because of this as a whole. bucky is often seen as woman coded because he is put into these situations where he is “rescued” by someone that half his stans see as his love interest (steve my baby im sorry) when hes really only rescued maybe twice? at azzano and from the water when the helicopter crashed. only one of those is a real damsel in distress situation. all of the others are cases where hes fighting his own way out ????? bucky doesnt just sit around waiting for a “real man” to get off his ass as that post suggested but i digress.

anyways. mcu stans lack any self awareness that would be required even if bucky and tony were woman coded. calling them woman coded does not count as self awareness! the real self awareness comes with recognizing that woman coding doesnt actually make these characters women and it doesnt mean they forever belong in these “female” roles. mcu stans take the stereotypes they pick out at face value and use them to say “look! bucky is a bottom!” or to continue taking away his agency by ignoring all of his other actions and traits that dont fit in to this mold theyve made around the idea that he needs a man to save him or boss him around. his story as a whole is the only thing that would make him woman coded and seeing as there is no self awareness of this shown, no attempts to subvert, he displays little to no traditionally feminine traits, and loss of agency on its own is not something that only applies to women ...

in short: in my opinion, bucky is not woman coded. mcu stans just like rolling with stereotypes that rely around cis bodies and straight relationships. the end.

Boku No Hero Academia Chapter 277 SPOILERS

("Fuck off Dad. I'm my own man now." -Shigaraki Tomura 2020)

Honestly Gran, you should have seen this coming. You of all people should know that Midoriya i-will-break-all-my-bones-if-it-means-i-get-to-save-one-life Izuku is allergic to obeying authority.

Midoriya said fuck you and my quirk, Aizawa is more important. Speaking of Aizawa he looks stuck somewhere between being touched and absolutely horrified.

Aizawa thinks back to that time he told Midoriya he couldn't be a hero, which honestly wasn't the best first impression, and Bakugou comes in with A.P Shot: Machine Gun which looks really powerful. Except that it's not because Shigaraki literally shrugs off his attack and calls the explosions "little fireworks". If four of my favourite characters weren't in mortal danger right now I would be feeding off of Shiggy's dgaf energy.

(Edit: I am currently feeding off of Shiggy's dgaf energy.)

Midoriya tries to restrain Shiggy with Black Whip and ends up being dragged along for the ride instead. Shiggy says he's not really interested in them right now when Bakugou tries to intercept Shiggy again and it looks like he's about to give Bakugou a bitch slap to heaven but Enji shows up in time to punch Shiggy out of the way. Nice to know you're still trying buddy.

(Edit: I'm only just now noticing the blood coming from Enji's nose and mouth. Eh, he'll be fine.)

Endeavour's first and immediate reaction upon seeing his two trouble making interns is to ask where the fuck his son is and I think that's adorable but I digress.

Midoriya tells him that it's just him and Bakugou and now I'm half expecting Todoroki to just appear out of nowhere. Enji refocuses his attention on Shigaraki, who is already on his feet after being punch, like, 30ft across the ground by fists engulfed in flames but I guess that's just the norm for him now.

AIZAWA DON'T SAY SHIT LIKE THAT THAT'S HOW PEOPLE DIE HAVEN'T YOU EVER READ A SHOUNAN MANGA FUCK!

Enji has given up on trying to keep Izuku and Katsuki out of the fight if he was ever trying to begin with and tells them to support Aizawa and tells Bakugou to make sure Izuku doesn't get snatched. Meanwhile, Shiggy's objective has switched to grab Deku and run.

YO WHAT THE FUCK! Has he gone full on AFO now. How the fuck is Midoriya going to explain this? He's gonna have to tell them. Shiggy looks like what ever thread was holding his fractured mind together just snapped and I feel really bad for him. This isn't even dgaf vibes anymore, it's just insanity and I find myself thinking, not for the first time, that they really should just unplug AFO's life support.

(Edit: Low-key waiting for OFA to take over Izuku's mind too to complete the circle)

Ok nevermind Shiggy hasn't completely lost it yet and both him and Midoriya are very confused by what just happened. Enji uses Hell Spider cause it worked so well the first time while Shiggy not only realises AFO spirit or whatever TOOK OVER HIS MIND FOR A FEW SECONDS, he also takes this opportunity to call AFO out for his MASSIVE ego and straight up tells him not to fuck around with his body and that he has his own reasons for wanting OFA, and I stan that so hard. If only Shiggy wasn't actively trying to kill everyone.

The last time I stanned Shigaraki this hard was the Liberation Army arc. You go Tomura. Be your own man. You don't need that asthma riddled potato head looking ass. Also I like how Hori drew him and AFO together like that. It's like even as he's saying it, AFO is right on top of him.

I really need to keep reading lol. Shiggy says he wants to be better than AFO and then proceeds to DECAY AFO'S IMAGE, permanently cutting ties with him. I think this might be a worse outcome to AFO taking over his body but we'll see.

Gran kicks Shiggy and tells him not to trample on Nana's heart anymore to which Shiggy responds "Who the fuck is Nana?" with the most dazed and confused look I've ever seen in my life. I guess it makes sense since he never found out what her name was. That or he just doesnt remember her. He did decay her and the rest of his family in his weird dreamscape.

Gran thinks back to how defeated AM looked after they found out who Tomura was and comes to the conclusion that Shigaraki breeds pain and suffering where ever he goes, which is a valid assumption to make considering *gestures wildly at the last 10 chapters*.

Gran and Enji charge at Shiggy and Shiggy gets this look of death on his face and it scares me.

Tomura uses jump and avoids them both in favour of going directly after Midoriya instead. Bakugou, of course, expected this and pulls the pin on his gauntlet that's aimed at Shigaraki. I have a bad feeling about this.

All the pros watch in mild horror as Bakugou proceeds to release a bigass explosion right on top of Shigaraki. Bit the real question is: Did it work?

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!?!??! YOU'RE CITTING BACK TO THE MANSION NOW?!?!?!??!!??!!??!

I don't even know why I'm surprised, Hori's been pulling this shit for weeks. I should be used to it by now.

Imma be completely honest with you, I completely forgot about Mt. Lady. I was honestly expecting everyone to be trampled.

I also noticed the Giganto is trying to head in the same direction my children are in and I don't really appreciate that. I like that you sorta make out what's left of the league on Giganto's back. They look like little beans (>w<).

Anyway, show of hands all those who think Bakugou's explosion actually did anything besides blocking Aizawa's line of sight. No one? Yeah, I didn't think so.
