I do love the netflix avatar in my own way because it provides me with enrichment in the same way brain puzzles do for chimps. Like something is WRONG here and it's your very special job to figure out why! And then you will get juice reward!!
#its been making me think about the cartoon a lot lately for the sake of comparing and contrasting#so thats great#it was a very good cartoon#i do actually think that its stupid to complain about how its objectively bad when an adaption makes changes to the original#because that SHOULD be the point of an adaption. to try things in a new way and somehow improve on the story#but i think its funny how this show is constantly like ''we're gonna take a DIFFERENT route with this character''#and then the DIFFERENT ROUTE leads to them driving the car off a cliff#we will not get to our destination this way bestie#out of all the changes theyve made to the original i think the most misguided and overall dogshit is how theyre portraying Azula#it annoying when people say ''theyre ACTUALLY writing her as a victim of her father's abuse this this''#''shes ACTUALLY sympathetic this time''#girl i hate it here#netflix show is a COWARD for showing Azula this way in season 1#not that its not somewhat in character. if ozai started playing mindgames with her she probably would start spiraling like this#the problem is that we shouldnt be SEEING IT!!#avatar is regarded as Baby's First Media Analysis for a lot of people#and boy oh boy there was a lot of analytic meat to Azula's character#but the netflix version? this is a skeleton!! bones!!!#like obviously if you were watching the cartoon as an adult it would be immediately apparent#that this 14 yo girl acting not only like a grown woman but a calm calculated genocidal tyrant is very concerning#and it makes her sympathetic by defualt on the grounds of being a child#but a kid isnt going to realize that!! Azula is supposed to be polarizing!!#youre meant to buy into the narrative that everything is easy for her. that no effort troubles her mind#her unflappable nature is meant to unsettle you. intimidate you. she has no weaknesses shes unstoppable and shes pure evil#as a kid who is still learning how to think deeply about things thats how youre to perceive her#and then. AND THEN!! then the show pulls the rug out from under you and makes you question everything#Azula's gradually unraveling sanity in book 3 is jarring and unnatural and it forces you to challenge your own opinion of her#you become uncomfortably aware that shes a victim too. after all this time youve spent hating her#just like zuko. just like the fire family child that you had already come to realize was ''actually good''#after that first watch its hard to decide how you feel about her. as a kid anyway. but its sad. its all so very sad

Reader was taken kidnapped by Wally and taken to his world. But what Wally didn't expect is that all the other characters would start to remember memories with the reader as a child and discover the truth of their colorful world.
( Now it's up to you to decide what will happen! Will they help the reader get back to the real world or will they become so attached to the reader that it would help Wally keep them there with them FOREVER. )
Aww fuck anon you gave MEE control over an ending.... WELP LET'S SEE HOW THIS GOES BABY!!

'Welcome home' was your favorite cartoon growing up, it was so bright and colorful something most children love.
One of your favorite things about the show was the characters talking to you.
One in particular was Wally darling. The resident artist.
He taught you to draw and paint.
Eventually years rolled by and the show shut down, but Wally and his friends remained. Their franchise and lives were left to surf the web, being uncovered and then forgotten by so many people.
But Wally's friends didn't mind because everytime someone would close their tabs, they would immediately forget who or what they were talking about and immediately go do something else.
But Wally. Wally would always remember. He remembered every child. Every adult. And every pet that he and his neighbors have seen.
And one special neighbor that he would never forget was 𝐲𝐨𝐮!
As the minutes passed with you scrolling through social media you discovered a website that was trying to somehow restore 'Welcome home'
You went to the website and saw the many people (puppets) that you grew up with.
You remember your mother recording some -if not all- the episodes of 'Welcome home's that aired. So you went to your attic and dig them up
You watched them all
And eventually Wally noticed you and remembered you...
His little neighbor all grown up
His bestest friend
He had to bring you into his world he couldn't lose you
Not again.
So that's what he did...
Now moving on to some of the characters povs of the situation:
Wally: obviously since Wally brought you here he'd never want to let you go, he wouldn't change his mind especially with homes influence
Frank: when you arrived in welcome home Frank was the first out of all puppets to gain memories of you, at first he'd be extatic to know that his little student was back. But he soon realized that it wasn't right to keep you here so he'd help you to leave.
Barnaby: Barnaby is the third to remember you because of how much fun you, Wally, and him had. Barnaby would try to help you escape but only a little bit since Wally keeps very close tabs on him.
Howdy: now our darling little Catapillar is another who would help you leave, he knows his morals and would risk it all to help his favorite employee.
Julie: now Julie is smart but dense at the same time, shes very excited to have another neighbor that she wouldn't even notice that you don't belong here. She's just glad to have her hair buddy back, so she probably wouldnt be a big help, but maybe just maybe if you were able to convince her (maybe with Franks help) you could get her on your side!
Poppy: poppy the worrywart of the crew she definitely remembers you, she would remember when you'd be covered in flour helping her bake. Due to how much of a worrywart she is she'd definitely keep you in their world so you don't get hurt so probably not the best person to go for help, but she is the nicest so if you arnt able to leave you can go to her and she'd comfort you.
Sally: Sally like Julie is very excited to have you back, she's not dense she knows your not from here but she's so excited to have someone else help her in the plays and what not, but like Julie you can probably talk her into helping you escape
And last but certainly not least Eddie: he's very Forgetful and also some what delusional. He wouldn't let you go, he wants to keep you there! He remembered you after a couple of days and remembers how much fun you both had!
Wally keeps all of his friends under a close watch some more than others, and home helps as well... Home probably influences Wally to do the things he does.
The best move is to gain wallys trust to go outside. The sad thing is, is that when you leave he always has an eye and ear out for you at all times. You'd probably have to talk to the others using notes, Wally can't see through others eyes nor can he see inside their houses so that's the best chance you'd have at escaping

{Thank you anon for requesting this! It was a joy to write. Sorry if it doesn't have everything or quite the ending you were expecting or just no ending at all I kinda went wild with this one! But as always hearts and reblogs are always welcomed along with questions, requests, and comments!!}

So, I just finished watching all 9 episodes of Smiling Friends in one sitting.
I dunno why, but I just have a bit of a natural aversion to immediately diving into like Internety things that blow up really quickly. I still need to watch the pilot episode for The Amazing Digital Circus, I have no clue what the game Content Warning is about, I know I got into watching videos on Lethal Company late and such.
One of those things was Smiling Friends. I had seen it blowing up originally, and so naturally, I just drifted away from it. I had subsequently seen it in like some memes or stuff afterwards, but besides that, not much.
It doesn’t help I’ve not really gotten into Adult Swim cartoons at the moment. I love random, but Adult Swim cartoons can be really cynical in a way that makes me wary of them.
Then, I saw you post some art of it. Then some more. Wow, more! What about this show makes this person I consider a good Tumblr friend like it so much to dedicate so much time to doing at about it? Well, you said in an ask that it wasn’t as cynical as other Adult Swim cartoons, especially when it came to Pim and Charlie. Huh, okay, I think I’ll go watch it!
I procrastinated on it for a few days because I was busy. But, finally, I decided, “You know what, I’m just gonna watch it!” I watched the first episode. Honestly, it is my least favorite episode. (Weirdly, just like how the first episode of the Sam and Max TV show is my least favorite.) I didn’t like The Boss breastfeeding, I didn’t like how Desmond kept the gun pointed to his head, I didn’t like the spinning baby. That all felt too jarring for me.
Of course, maybe I wasn’t properly acclimated with the show yet. Besides, there was good with the bad. I thought Pim and Charlie’s dynamic seemed funny, the ending was great, and I liked Allan and Glep as the other two Smiling Friend workers. So, I pushed through.
I ended up really enjoying my time watching the show. There was a lot more I liked than I disliked. My main thing: You were right, it definitely wasn’t as cynical as I thought it would be. Sure, the world still is cynical and messed up at points, but I felt an authenticity to the reoccurring characters and how they dealt with the situations they ended up in. Plus, for every single episode, I didn’t see the ending coming AND felt super satisfied by the resolutions! My favorite episode is probably the Salty’s one.
So, I guess this is a really long way to tell you: Thanks for getting me into Smiling Friends!
ooouuu i’m glad you enjoyed it!! surprising i’ve gotten some people to start the show because of my fanart.. wuohhh
Completely understand the parts that felt jarring; i could only look past it or at times find the humor in it mostly because of how my friends and i perceived and translated it into our own funky little brains. And i don’t necessarily feel as if adult shows need to step away from that very random/jarring humor/gags but more of Figure Out How To Do It Right and that’s what I feel smiling friends does perfectly. But some people are gonna be left with a bad taste in their mouth anyways and that’s completely fine yk.
What I like is how they mix those very jarring elements in their show + the characters world and contrast it with simply how realistic the characters are. They typically converse as if most of this stuff is normal and it only adds more to the joke when they actually freak out. Like i’ve said before i adore the mixture of extremely realistic dialogue that sounds so similar to real life conversations we’ve very have had before with people in everyday life. (that’s why i especially love the trip to brazil episode)
And obviously the lack of cynicism. I’ve been avoiding most adult animated shows for YEARS because i genuinely just can’t stand the cynicism and it’s constantly negative fanbases it always brews. And i’m very heavy on looking to the fanbase to get an example of how good of a media may be or simply how much it may appeal to me. I remember telling a friend that the difference between the rick & morty fanbase to the smiling friends fanbase was just one fanbase is known for constantly having a negative outlook on life and saying shit like “you need to have a high IQ to understand this show” while the smiling friends fanbase just DESPERATELY wants to make out sloppy style with Charlie. There’s no tasteless misogynistic, queerphobic, or racist jokes. Hell they have two fat characters as the main characters and we have not heard a single fat joke. It’s a breath of fresh air and with its inclusion of having many youtube/twitter/online creators be part of the show (and RUNNING the show) i feel as if we’re hopefully stepping into a new age of adult animated media.
hopefully one with a more positive outlook on adulthood.
aaaa enough of my rambling you literally watched the show!! feels so odd i used to be influenced by fanart and now my fanart is influencing others. i will do everything to use this power for good 😭 just happy to see people start and enjoy things im really fond for.
hope u having a good morning/evening/night tumblr friend 🫶

So finished my rewatch of all of ninjago that is easily available on Netflix (so the original, day of the departed and some of the shorts I could not watch)
Theories about dragons rising and therefore SPOILERS
While the merge would’ve happened no matter what BUT Ras and Beatrix triggered it early
Ras’s master is the overlord
Land of the Lost tells us what’s going on with the Departed Realm. It could’ve shown up on the map but once you’re in you can’t leave it creates a fog
Lloyd could’ve ended up in the land of the lost as a kid
I have decided that Spitz is actually Skales Junior but he got separate from his family during one of the events in Ninjago and they all thought he died and he lost all his memories
Fritz is a formling and judging by his hat he has a bird form. I’m hc that he got lost and stuck in the land of lost things during Zane’s reign and by the time anyone was able to remember him it was too late
Geo, is so obviously is love with Cole but I’m sorry I ship Cole and Vania and I won’t be swayed maybe they can be poly but I feel like a lot of Geo’s affection for Cole may come from him being the Son of Lilly and so he feels like he is the only one who can truly accept him
The Merge had to have messed with people’s memories because Lloyd keeps being treated like this perfect angel and no one wants to mention how much of a menace he was a child and I think Sora and Arin would greatly benefit from learning that (and not just in haha he was a menace and he’s getting payback from them. I really think it will help them in their learning)
Cole is most definitely going to be the one to find Jay
The administration is a nightmare but also far too real but maybe that’s just because I live in the US (cries in victim of capitalism)
The Administrator has to be either PIXAL or Garmadon but a fun twist would be Mindroid or Borg
Misako realistically would be dead by this point the youngest she could be before the Merge was mid 70s (I refuse to believe she and Garmadon got married before she was 20 because I’m so tired of cartoon woman being questionably young. I don’t care if that means she was late 40 early 50s when she had Lloyd it’s possible and actually not uncommon) BUT this is Ninjago so she’s probably alive and researching stuff
Also did anyone notice that the temple grave place Nya and Sora went to had a pillar that matched one in the Monastery and they show it immediately after in almost the same place I am really hopeful that’s important
PIXAL better be living her best life building stuff for fun and profit and they only thing missing is Zane and she just really misses him but otherwise everything is perfect for her and she won’t have to leave that but instead just move it to the monastery or the crossroads
The Geckle chancellor knew it was Zane he just didn’t recognize him at first and was embarrassed about it so he tried to cover it up by saying not even Zane himself could live up to Zane
Blazey H Speed/Racer 7 is Kreel change my mind
The explorers club has branched out significantly and now every major city that will allow them has a club house
The ninja are adults in this and you can’t change my mind
I think Lloyd is late 20s early 30s
I know Wu or the first spinjitzu master is probably who the big source dragon was talking about but I really hope it was the good part of Garmadon I just would really like to see that and it would also be funny if there were multiple versions of Garmadon running around because of Harumis ritual and then like the merge caused him to further split apart. It would be hilarious

The great shift: parenting and streaming
Thanks to @thegreatstoryteller
Tumblr media
-Dad, what are you doing in my office? I've told you a hundred times that I don't like you coming in here when I'm working, now you better get out of here and finish your math homework before I finish streaming or there will be no dessert for dinner- The camera it was on and thousands of people were looking at that hot body that spent 3 hours a day in the gym, the comments were piling up by the hundreds, most of them were just sexual advances or paid requests for him to flex his fantastic arms in front of the camera, most of them of his audience were boys his age… Thomas is now 14 years old and entering his teens, although perhaps “fatherhood” would be more appropriate for his new 34-year-old body. His voice was thick and firm, I knew that tone of voice, he had been losing a couple of games, and he was angry, I turned around and trying to be less noisy than a mouse I closed the door before leaving, I immediately heard him lock the door so that I would not interrupt him.
2 years ago this place used to be my office, and that mature hairy body used to be mine, but my son Thomas and I were affected by the great shift. “Luckily” we ended up trapped in each other's bodies on a Saturday. One moment I'm in my office finishing my accounting report and a blink later I'm on our living room couch watching cartoons. I didn't know what was happening, all I knew was that now I was trapped in the body of my 14-year-old son forever, I lost my entire life in a second, plus half my size, my muscles and all of my authority.
Tumblr media
We survived on leftover food in the cupboard. I taught him how to cook, how to shave, and how to exercise his new body. I even tried to teach him how to do my job, but my son was never the brightest in the class. Maybe it was muscle memory or some weird sci-fi phenomenon, but before long he learned my routine at the gym and learned to enjoy his newfound status as man of the house. Obviously, I was fired from my job as Head of the accounting office of my company, and the government gave my son a huge compensation check. The money might not be much, but it would last us long enough for my son to get a job. Suitable employment for a child in the body of an adult, much stronger and taller than the rest of the men. Or that was the plan, as soon as the first check arrived in the mail, my son took my car and went straight to the mall, so he could buy a new computer, microphones and 3 cameras so everyone could enjoy every inch of his perfect muscles live. . He did all this without my knowledge, so when he got his first payout from his followers he rubbed all the money in my face, which was about to turn into a field of puss and pimples thanks to all the hormones in my little teenage body. . In a short time he became popular and that face that I used to look at every day in the mirror was now on Twitch and YouTube, He became so confident and arrogant thanks to his popularity, his maturity and that huge penis that he now had between his hairy thighs.
Tumblr media
It's…Hard to admit, but he's doing a better job than I am with my life, he's only been in my body for 2 years and he's so popular that every time he picks me up from school, all his old friends line up for him. being able to take a picture with him while I wait in the back of Nick's car… oh right I haven't talked about Nick. Is he… my stepfather? It's weird putting a label on your son's boyfriend after the great shift, he and Thomas have been dating for some time now, he spends weekends at our house, even sleeps with Thomas in my old bed. It doesn't bother me that they are together, but… they could be less noisy in bed, I have a math exam tomorrow and I need to sleep.
Tumblr media
If you liked my story take a look at my patreon, I have a lot of stories on my patreon.

So pretty much since the Met Gala my brain keeps going, "You need to post Halle Bailey". This is on account of her being quite gorgeous. The problem is I have not seen her in anything and don't really know who she is other than she is the Little Mermaid. Or will be depending on your perspective. Like it's in the can but it hasn't happened for the rest of us. Either way, it can be hard for me to get over the hump of posting someone when I just see them in some pictures on my dash but guys, she has worn some amazing stuff so here she is. Really amazing. Like at one point my brain went, "She's so beautiful, why would anyone be upset she was cast". Which like, very funny brain, you know exactly why people were upset she was cast, racists aren't a new thing, they've been around at least since the middle ages. I know saying that gets people upset who have some purity based reason for why they are upset but I am here to tell you that you don't really, you have racist reasons. I get it, Disney's entire insidious plot is purity. Not in the female innocence sense with princesses and so on, though that's there, but they market in the idea that their product is the pure, platonic ideal of something in order to maintain a stranglehold on the culture. It's why they are making these live action versions of old cartoons. You see, they take something that is part of the public domain, already funny given they fucking hate the idea of anything entering the public domain, and make their version of it and saturate the culture with it. Often the do it well but either way they overload the culture with it so that if anyone else makes a version of this 200 year old story and they make it more accurate to the source materiel, they will immediately be decried by the public at large as a knock off and imitators. Thus Disney will continue to pump out versions of this forever to squash anything but their narrative, to continue to get people to do free work for them defending it as the only actual version of a story that Disney didn't even come up with. So what i am saying is it's racists but also people who don't even realize they are racists because they have bought into the bullshit of the company they are now mad at. They learned it from watching Disney. Which is a shame because obviously I find these live action things a complete waste of time and an entirely cynical way for Disney to maintain its monolithic hold on pop culture but that hardly seems like the actress' fault. Everyone needs a break, everyone needs to work but more importantly at some point it would probably be nice to let a black person do anything and not have it become about their skin no matter what they do. This all got a bit far afield, I think my core point is she's beautiful and if you don't think so I might think you're a bigot? No, I don't think that's a good take either. Let's just go with Disney is bad for us, I am deeply distrustful of Disney Adults, and Halle Bailey is beautiful. Today I want to fuck Halle Bailey.

For the Holidays
Summary: In which Spencer does not want to go to his high school reunion, but you tagging along changes things. “You doubting my skills, Dr. Reid?”
WC: 2.1k
Tags/Warnings: Spencer Reid x GN!Reader, fake-dating trope, pining (so much pining), Morgan trying to be a good big bro (and wingman)
Tumblr media
Spencer Reid does not hate Christmas.
“Reid, come on⎼”
“No.”
“Just listen to me.”
“I did, and it’s a stupid idea.”
No, really. Because hating Christmas would imply he didn’t care. Which he does.
Like when Garcia never fails to drag him into decorating the bullpen every year. Obnoxious Christmas music plays in the background as they bomb Hotch’s office, and it’s worth the smile on his face when he walks in the next morning.
It would mean hating Rossi and his extravagant dinner parties. And yeah, he always hosts but these are just as special if not more so. His mansion is decked in fairy lights and streamers, the food are traditional holiday recipes, and the whole place seems a little less massive.
And he doesn’t hate his breaks. He nearly spits out his coffee when Morgan grumbles about how he almost tripped and fell over from the ice. He has to scramble away as the older man bats at him.
Or when Prentiss drops off holiday-themed pastries? Mhm, just thinking of the ribbon-tied box makes him salivate.
Hating the Christmas card is completely out of the question. Henry and Michael make them every year for the entire team, and JJ makes an effort to shake them out carefully for. It has a boyish charm Spencer never had at their age, a mess of glitter and construction paper. He displays it on his desk anyway.
And you. It would mean hating all the various hot chocolate beverages you’ve made since December started.
Apparently, it’s serious business⎼the art of hot chocolate making. You’ve leaned against his desk, hands waving about as you try to articulate to him the relevance, going over anything and everything you can remember of its history and significance. Of course, he knows all of this already, but he likes you too much to stop you. He almost releases a loving sigh. Instead, he settles for nodding and grinning at you, and he doesn’t really get it but he loves it: the hot chocolate, your pensive expression as you await his critique, even though by now he’s sure you know he has no other comments except ‘delicious’.
He loves it all. He loves you⎼all of you guys. Obviously.
So, no. He does not hate Christmas.
But that doesn’t mean he loves it either.
Which is why, when Morgan leans against his desk, he greets him as normal, a smile forming on his lips as he sets his book down. There is no danger here, except Morgan’s guns. And the heinous green and red envelope between his fingers⎼
Where the hell did he get that.
Spencer’s blood froze. His collection of trauma was nothing compared to this.
Now here he is, packing away his things so he can go home to his warm, cozy apartment and order takeout like he does every year. He's not one for change. No need to break tradition.
But Morgan is acting like a child. Wait, no, even children are better behaved than this. Children at least give up faster.
“I’m telling you, it’s a good idea.”
“As a certified genius, I can say with all honesty, it is not.”
“I promise you it’ll be fine,” Morgan reassures him, voice soothing. The letter, colorful and bright and an eye sore, mocks Spencer. He wishes his reflexes were faster, so he can snatch the abhorrent cluster of sparkles and poorly printed holiday cartoons. And shred it.
Maybe if he glares hard enough, it’ll burst into flames.
“Morgan, my class hated me. The whole school hated me,” Spencer shoves another book into his satchel. It's harder than he means to, and he sends a silent apology to Stephen King; he usually handles his books with care. But not right now. Now, he's tired and exasperated and he just wants to curl up on his couch with The Doctor. "I'm sure I won't be missed."
"But you’re the life of the party!"
Spencer looks up.
Morgan winces, "Yeah, even I wouldn't believe me.” Spencer snorts, continuing to stuff his belongings into his satchel. Morgan’s relentless however. “But you deserve to show them up. You’ve got degrees⎼plural⎼and you're a hotshot FBI agent.”
“Are you not aware of the tragedy that is my high school social experience?”
“Oh, I'm very aware, and thank you for being vulnerable with me. But it's because I care that I’m telling you.”
Morgan’s hand falls heavy on his shoulder, making Spencer pause. He meets his gaze, the man’s expression solemn.
“You deserve to rub it in their faces until the only thing they can smell is your success.”
Morgan grins when that draws out a laugh from him.
Spencer huffs, “Shouldn't we be the bigger person here by not going?”
The older man grimaces, retracting his hand as if the idea offends him. “Fuck that. Be a show off! They deserve to be knocked down a peg after what they did to you in high school.”
Spencer bites his lip. Yes, he’s accomplished, and yeah, as Morgan said, he’s a ‘hot shot FBI agent’. But the memories surge in like a broken dam, cruel laughter and harsh words crashing into him as if he’s twelve years old again. He’s an adult now, so he doesn’t topple over from the impact like before, but the pain is a phantom limb, old and familiar, and leaves a pit in his stomach.
He was a child prodigy then. How would going back as he is now be any different?
Morgan's heart clenches when an unspoken pain flits across Spencer’s face, glossing over his eyes. He can't imagine how deep the emotional scars go, but he knows Spencer needs some form of closure from his past. So when he found the invite, he knew they had to seize the chance. If he wants to continue to move forward, Spencer has to learn to let go. And right now, this is his first class ticket. It’s why he’s pushing this so hard.
This is for Spencer.
But the doctor shakes his head, a strained smile tugging his lips. “Morgan, I had no friends. Even if I go, what am I supposed to do once I arrive? It'd be awkward enough as is.”
“True,” The older man contemplates, a light bulb going off as he snaps his fingers. “You know what you should do? Ask (Your Name) to go with you.”
“(Your Name)?” Spencer jolts, fumbling to catch his phone. Despite being a man of science, his eyes dart around, like you’re a demon summoned at the mention of your name. “Wha-what? Why?”
“They could act as your buffer. And you did say you wanted to be closer with them. This is the perfect opportunity,” Morgan shrugs. Like his suggestion is common sense, logical. Maybe it is.
But this is you they’re talking about. You would never. You’re too cool for a silly high school reunion.
At least, that’s what he’s convinced himself as Spencer’s face pinches. He catches his lip with his teeth. “Morgan, I appreciate the… thought, but I could never ask (Your Name).”
“Ask me what?”
… Oh no. You are a demon.
Tumblr media
Spencer whirls around in time to see the glass door shut behind you. You stand there in all your poise and beauty, the fluorescent lights softening your expression. You're bundled up in a matching coat and scarf, the knitted beanie snug on your crown and clashing with your outfit (Garcia told you it’s not your Christmas present, but you’ve worn it everyday since). There’s sprinkles of snow all over you.
You’re not a demon, Spencer decides, even as you brush a clump off your shoulder, nose scrunched in annoyance. More like a snow angel.
You tilt your head curiously when Spencer doesn’t answer immediately. There’s a knowing look on his face as Morgan, realizing the poor guy probably won’t respond any time soon, steps up.
“(Your Name), I thought you went home already.”
You cross the bullpen. “I was. Garcia walked me down and I got to the courtyard. Then I realized she had me so distracted that I left my phone charger,” You rummage around your desk and without looking up, you reiterate, “So ask me what?”
Spencer blinks. “What?”
“You had something to ask me, right?”
Right. That. He runs his fingers through his hair awkwardly. “Actually, I don’t⎼oof.”
Morgan jabs his side, “Yes, there is something Reid needs to ask you.” He sends him a meaningful look.
“Shoot.” You nod to them before rifling through your desk drawers. Nope, not there. You card through files and office supplies, oblivious to the conversation Spencer and Morgan have with their eyes, shooting looks and mouthing at each other.
You bend over your desk as Morgan gestures, Ask them!
Spencer shakes his head vigorously, No!
Do it, or I'll do it for you, he mouths.
Spencer squints at him. You wouldn't.
Morgan smirks and Spencer's heart drops to his stomach. Before he can run, shout for help, literally anything, the man slings a buff arm around his shoulders, forcing Spencer to slightly bend down to his level, hugging him to his side.
He's trapped. Stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Fuck.
“Reid is going to his high school reunion,” Morgan starts, biting back a grin when the nerd squirms against him. Both men boys watch, one excited and the other petrified as you disappear behind your desk.
“That’s nice.”
"Yeah. But all his classmates are older than him and married…“
“Uh-huh…” You scan the dark floors, half-listening as Spencer frowns at the unnecessary detail. He never told Morgan such a thing. He didn’t even know, so how would Morgan-?
“So, can you guys pretend to be a couple or something?”
Thud.
“What!?”
Luckily, neither of you notice the other’s surprise as Spencer chokes on air at the same time you let out a pained hiss.
Morgan lets him pull away, withholding a snicker. “You good, (Your Name)?”
“I’m okay!” Your head pops up from under your desk as you rub the top of your head. You blink owlishly. “I’m sorry, did you just ask me to pretend to be your partner?”
“Yes! But Reid’s partner,” Morgan emphasizes, slapping the doctor’s back hard enough he nudges forward.
You stand and Spencer straightens up, trying not to fidget as your gaze burns into his. You’ve known each other for quite some time now, and while Spencer likes to think he knows you pretty well, it bothers him when your expression becomes unreadable. He knows it shouldn't but it does. He’s a profiler, yet your thoughts are completely obscured by a mask. It only makes him more nervous than he already is.
His skin feels hot when your eyes trail over him, and he prays his scarf is enough to cover the flush spreading from his neck.
He's about to disintegrate when you finally answer.
"Okay."
His brow shoots up and his heart flips. You move away from your desk as he sputters, "Really? Are⎼are you sure? I don’t want to put you out of your way.”
“I wouldn’t have agreed otherwise. Why?” You step closer, and he can’t breathe, not without it hitting your face. You stare him down the bridge of your nose, eyes narrowed. “You doubting my skills, Dr. Reid?”
“What? No, of course not!”
You raise an eyebrow expectantly. “Then it’s settled? We’ll pretend to be a couple for your reunion thing?"
A beat of silence. Spencer realizes you're waiting for his confirmation. But panic rises like bile in his throat and he hesitates.
Maybe he should back out now, retract the entire conversation and take the embarrassment like a man. Tell you he was never planning to attend the stupid reunion because his classmates were (and probably still are) assholes. Honesty is key to any relationship after all.
Especially between coworkers. Ahem.
A flicker of movement and Spencer glances over your shoulder. Morgan nods frantically at him, teeth flashing as he grins wider than before. He gives him two thumbs up.
Maybe, for once, he should pull a Morgan and just vibe it.
Yeah. Yeah!
Swallowing, he nods to you, giving you his signature white-person smile because he's sure if he speaks he might blurt out something completely inappropriate. Like statistics on workplace relationships (they’re great reading material, okay).
Your lips quirk up. "Cool. Text me the details when you get the chance.”
You brush past him before he manages a reply, your footsteps fading. Morgan waggles his eyebrows at Spencer. Spencer blankly stares after you.
“What just happened?”
“You just got a date to your reunion. A fake date, mind you, but you’re welcome nonetheless,” Morgan smirks at him. “So, you got a plan, Pretty Boy?”
His face falls, and the hearts in his eyes⎼shit, had they always been there?⎼chip slightly.
He does not have a plan.
Deleted scene:
“Did you do it?”
“It went all according to plan, Mama.”
AN: I fucked myself over and wrote 7k+ and still counting. Now it’s an unplanned holiday mini series. This kind of stems from Bonding as this uses Mysterious!Reader. Also, I seem to be into pining (fuck established relationships, suffer in silenceee). Whatever holiday you celebrate, I hope you still enjoy this one shot!!
One of the biggest disappointments of CM: Spencer doesn’t confront his high school bullies. I read several fics of him doing so, but a lot of them have the bullies be just as much of an asshole as they were to him in the past, but he deserves more closure.
This will be my take on it. It’ll be a lot of pining but I hope to focus on the his hardships in a less angsty, dramatic way.
Hope you enjoy it!! There will be at least 3 parts?
Also, spread the usage of the term ‘partner’, which can be used for same-sex and opposite-sex relationships.

Hi 😊 I absolutely love your work, you are so talented and I love how you write our fav russian assassin cuties 🥺 could I please request a simple story, where Natasha and Yelena get a day off, starting by waking up and just spending the day together with lots of fluff and equal happiness for both the girls 🤗 maybe lots of yelena being a little shit and natasha tickling her, but then natasha gets payback and yelena tickles her back 😂 I love reading about them being a bit childish because of how much they missed of their youth 😁
no pressure! you don't have to, but I'd love to read that ❤❤
A/N: Thank you so, so much! That means so much to hear 🥺💗
And thank you for the request! I combined this one with another one that I had, so I hope that’s alright! 🥰
I hope you enjoy! 💖

“I want to build the hammock today,” Yelena suddenly declared, her eyes hardening with resolve, and Natasha raised an eyebrow curiously.
It was finally a day off from work, and Natasha and Yelena had resolved to take it easy throughout the majority of the day or at least do something that they both would find fun to do.
All of that morning so far, Natasha and Yelena had just lazed about the house, spending way longer on morning cuddles than usual since they had no real obligations. Of course, Yelena was immensely pleased with this because she always was begging Natasha to spend more time in bed with her even on the days that they had missions.
It was Yelena’s conviction that nothing was more important than morning cuddles. Not even their very necessary obligations. Of course, Natasha would love to view things that way as well, but she knew life could not work that way always for the both of them. Someone had to be the mature adult.
However, she did not have to be today. Today, she could just focus on being the doting big sister that spoiled her favorite person in the world rotten.
And given how Yelena was currently sprawled across her, her leg thrown over Natasha’s lap as she almost sat on Natasha’s lap from her position on the couch next to the redhead as they watched old reruns of some goofy child’s cartoon that neither of them had ever really watched or experienced conditioning within the Red Room, Natasha could tell that the blonde was probably already spoiled rotten without an entire day to be dedicated to it.
Natasha had not really been paying much attention to the TV show since she had been absorbed in a book while Yelena alternated between playing on her phone, aggravating her, and watching the actual cartoon, but at a second glance, Natasha thought that it looked like Scooby Doo. However, Yelena quickly distracted her from her thoughts as she put down her phone and scooted nearer, resituating herself so that she was sitting a bit more fully on Natasha’s lap, her chin resting on Natasha’s shoulder.
“The hammock? Are you sure? That thing’s probably moth-eaten by now,” Natasha teased finally with a slight grin tugging at her lips, amusement filling her at the playful glare Yelena shot at her.
One of the first times that Natasha had taken Yelena to Walmart, Yelena had discovered a hammock in the gardening department that she had been positively taken with. Natasha, of course, had not had the heart to deny her, and they had ended up purchasing it. They had even purchased the supplies to hang it between the two trees in their backyard. But until now, it had remained largely forgotten in the wake of everything else that the two were ordinarily busy with.
“It’s not moth-eaten, you poser. It’s not even that old,” Yelena protested, and Natasha could not resist her smirk as she squeezed Yelena’s leg affectionately where it was thrown over her lap.
After a moment, Yelena just raised an eyebrow at her, obviously expecting and impatiently awaiting a response. Natasha shrugged a little.
“Okay,” Natasha nonchalantly replied to her, and Yelena grinned widely. Natasha immediately felt herself melting at the positively adoring look on her face.
“Really?” Yelena asked, almost surprised, and Natasha leaned in, kissing Yelena’s nose softly. She did not know how Yelena could be surprised when Natasha immediately gave in. Natasha would fight tooth and nail to give Yelena the entire world on a silver platter if she asked for it.
“Of course. Why do you sound so shocked?” Natasha questioned against Yelena’s nose with a chuckle, and Yelena shrugged, wrinkling her nose cutely at the feeling of Natasha’s lips against the tip of her nose.
“I don’t know. I guess I just didn’t expect you to agree so quickly,” Yelena admitted, and Natasha huffed a little, trading her lips in favor of pressing and nuzzling her nose against Yelena’s nose gently.
“But I guess you’re just a pushover poser now,” Yelena quipped, her eyes sparkling with mischief. Natasha just raised an eyebrow with her own wicked smile, her fingers diving over as she grabbed at Yelena’s sides and scribbled along her ribs.
“I’ll show you a pushover poser, you little turd,” Natasha threatened playfully, and Yelena immediately snorted hard, trying to ward Natasha’s hands away as laughs overtook her.
Natasha just grinned even more widely, leaning in toward Yelena’s neck and blowing a raspberry against the skin. Yelena immediately let out a sound between a squeal and a yelp, trying to evade her as she pulled backward and away. Natasha just grabbed onto her more firmly, attempting to dig her fingers underneath Yelena’s arms and assault her there.
Yelena wasted no time in clamping down her arms and trying to avoid Natasha’s hands as she laughed uncontrollably in that beautiful reckless abandon as she always did. Natasha dug in just a bit more, trying to weaken her enough to reach one of her most vulnerable spots, but Yelena somehow remained hardened throughout it.
Therefore, Natasha finally had mercy on her, just squeezing her sides gently before pressing a kiss against her forehead and letting her go. Yelena then scooted back toward her as leftover giggles still erupted through her, slinging her leg over her lap yet again as she rested her head on Natasha’s shoulder. Natasha raised an eyebrow curiously, looking down at the blonde.
“Back for more already?” Natasha asked, and Yelena shook her head breathlessly, a grin on her face despite her best efforts.
“No,” Yelena replied breathily, and Natasha just smiled softly, bringing up her hand to cup Yelena’s face and pull her more firmly against her shoulder. Yelena followed her motion, tilting her head just a little to nuzzle into Natasha’s palm.
There were a few beats of silence before Natasha finally let out a sigh, knowing that they probably needed to get on the work with the hammock if they were going to get to lay in it that day. Natasha started to move Yelena’s leg off of her lap, and Yelena let out a low whine of unhappiness as she immediately fought to bring her leg back to its previous position.
“C’mon, little one. If you want to go get the hammock ready, we’ve got to get up,” Natasha told her with a slight laugh in her voice as she pushed at Yelena’s leg that kept trying to drag itself up onto her again. Yelena groaned, pushing her head harder into Natasha’s shoulder and starting to wrap stubborn arms around Natasha to keep her in place.
“That was then. Now I want to cuddle,” Yelena huffed, and Natasha rolled her eyes affectionately, pulling herself out of Yelena’s hold after much prying. Once she stood up, Yelena just gazed up at her with the utmost betrayal, and Natasha almost laughed at her as she held out a hand to help the blonde to her feet.
“Come on. Let’s make the thing, and then we can cuddle to your heart’s content,” Natasha replied to her, and Yelena let out a deep sigh before reaching up and taking the redhead’s hand.
“Fine. But your cuddle tab is overflowing and I’m expecting you to pay up soon,” Yelena grumpily declared, and Natasha smirked just a little at her.
  “Anything you want, Rooskaya.”
    ………………………………………………………………………………………………………
“You know, your mom was definitely not a carpenter,” Yelena declared as she moved her head in the way of Natasha’s handiwork with the strapping of the hammock to the tree. Natasha let out a deep sigh, rolling her eyes as she grabbed Yelena’s head and shoved her playfully.
“And yours was definitely not a glassblower. Move your fat head,” Natasha insulted lightly, and Yelena gasped, pretending as if she were truly and deeply offended as she placed a hand on her chest dramatically.
“I will have you know that my head is not fat! And if it were, then it would just be because my head has to hold all of these brains inside of it,” Yelena declared, and Natasha huffed, trying to hold back a grin in reply to the blonde while simultaneously indulging her urge to roll her eyes at the younger of the two.
“Must be a miserable burden to bear,” Natasha drily replied, and Yelena just pursed her lips in something akin to a pout as she crossed her arms over her chest.
“It’s a battle every day,” Yelena sniffed haughtily, and Natasha almost scoffed as she struggled to arrange the strap on the tree just right.
After much toil and strain, the two— but mainly Natasha— had managed to get one side of the hammock hung up. It had been a real fight and she had to wrestle the strap around the tree’s trunk in the right position with all of the strength she had.
But as she stepped back from the strap, she realized that she had finally done it. She had finally hung the silly hammock and they both could lounge in it at last.
“Awesome! You think it’ll hold us up?” Yelena asked curiously, looking over at Natasha. Natasha huffed, completely unimpressed with Yelena’s comment.
“Are you insulting my handiwork again?” Natasha questioned, raising an eyebrow, and Yelena just shrugged defensively.
“No, I’m just concerned about the likelihood of it holding your fat butt,” Yelena proclaimed with a smirk, and Natasha narrowed her eyes a little.
“More like we’ve got to worry about your fat head.”
“At least my head is all from genetic genius. Your fat butt was collected over years of eating peanut butter straight from the jar,” Yelena commented with a far too smug grin, and Natasha just looked at Yelena playfully, not taking her seriously in the least. They both knew that Natasha’s butt was pure muscle as was practically all of Natasha’s body, and that was why they could tease each other like this.
“Let’s test it out,” Natasha cued, tilting her head to let Yelena get in first. However, Yelena just shook her head, bowing in a gentlemanly fashion.
“Oh, age before beauty,” Yelena proclaimed, holding her hand out to the hammock to signal Natasha to make the first move. Natasha rolled her eyes a little but nevertheless approached the hammock, deciding the worst that could happen would be that it would collapse.
She was trying not to think about the other consequence that entailed Yelena taking a picture of her tangled up in the thin ropes on the ground.
“How kind of you,” Natasha sarcastically shot back, and Yelena just watched her carefully as she laid down in the hammock carefully. To her pure shock, the thing was barely affected by her weight, and seemed as if it could easily take both her and Yelena.
Just as she was about to look to Yelena and tell her it was safe, the blonde was crawling in on top of her, her knee on one side of Natasha’s leg as she hauled herself in. Natasha let out a soft grunt as Yelena let all of her fully body weight rest on top of Natasha.
Natasha wrinkled her nose as she realized that her baby sister was sweating considerably and it was wetting her shirt. Yelena also stunk terribly, and Natasha furrowed her brow.
“Why in the world are you so sweaty?! And stinky?!” Natasha asked, her eyes widened just a little with surprise, and Yelena just smirked widely as she rested her chin on top of Natasha’s chest, looking her in the eyes.
“It’s summer. What do you expect when you’ve made me toil out here in the sun all afternoon?’ Yelena questioned, and Natasha scoffed unashamedly.
“First of all, I did most of the work. Second, it was your idea!” Natasha argued, and Yelena just shrugged, wiping her wet head against Natasha’s shirt. Natasha just sighed deeply, rolling her eyes before kissing Yelena’s head anyway. The sweat did not bother her that much, even if her stink was unpleasant.
However, her ultimate desire to cuddle with her baby sister was increasingly outweighing the stink. Natasha wrapped her arms around Yelena more firmly, the wind lapping coolly at their faces and arms. Yelena just sprawled out across her, closing her eyes as she enjoyed the breeze, her head moving to rest her cheek rather than her chin on Natasha’s chest.
Natasha almost drifted off to sleep until she was suddenly stirred awake by a quick slap to her arm. Natasha’s eyes shot open and she gaped at the girl before her. Yelena looked almost as if she were going to laugh, but she also looked concentrated on something.
“Have you lost your mind?! What was that for?” Natasha demanded, her voice a slur as she tried to come back to consciousness, and Yelena just shook her head, centering on a place on Natasha’s shoulder. Natasha opened her mouth to persist in her questioning, but Yelena quickly dove in, slapping her shoulder.
“Ow!” Natasha cried out. While she normally would not have vocalized pain in the least, she was just waking up. Besides, she knew she was safe around Yelena and she could afford to be just a little more dramatic than usual.
“Sorry,” Yelena replied breathily, almost certainly laughing at her now as her eyes moved about and followed an invisible line.
“There’s a sweat bee, and I’m trying to kill it,” Yelena continued just barely, her voice barely audible as she presumably attempted to keep from scaring it off.
However, as Yelena’s gaze settled on Natasha’s face, Natasha’s eyes widened a little. Just as Yelena’s hand came swatting in, Natasha caught her wrist, narrowing her eyes.
Yelena let out a noise of unhappiness, watching the thing presumably fly away, and she looked back at Natasha woefully.
  “I almost had it!”
  “You almost had my face!”
“Ungrateful poser… The things suck the sweat off your body and it’s disgusting. They’re like one step away from vampires. Gross,” Yelena declared strongly, expressing her distaste, and Natasha almost laughed at the look on the blonde’s face. It was rare that something actually got to the blonde and Natasha found it humorous that it was sweat bees of all things.
“Stop laughing! It’s serious!” Yelena whined, and Natasha could not hold back her laughter any longer, a giant grin splitting across her face as she unashamedly laughed at her baby sister. Yelena’s eyes narrowed, and she lunged forward, grabbing onto Natasha.
Natasha immediately reflexively shot back at her with her own arms, holding her back. Yelena moved to the side heavily, trying to get the upper hand. However, Natasha just moved opposite of her weight. The hammock began to swing just a little with their efforts.
“Here I am trying to keep a sweat sucker from preying on you and how do you thank me?” Yelena cried out, grabbing at Natasha’s face and trying to shove her nose into the netting of the hammock as they swung.
  “You started this!”
“You laughed!” Yelena accused, but Natasha saw the playful glint in her eyes. The two of them continued to roughly shove at each other and try to gain the upper hand despite how impossible it was considering the fact that Natasha was literally stuck on the bottom.
They kept at one another, the hammock swinging more and more violently.
However, when Natasha finally noticed it, her eyes widened, and she opened her mouth to speak just a moment too late.
Natasha closed her eyes as they both hit the ground with a thud. Natasha had landed on top of Yelena because of their upside-down flip, and Yelena groaned loudly and somewhat painedly as she panted to regain her breath. Natasha moved off of her just a little, looking down at her with some concern.
“You okay?” Natasha asked, and Yelena just shot her a sarcastic grin that had far too much mirth in it for her own good.
“Perfect. I loved the part where you almost squished my guts out,” Yelena sassily shot back.
“Once again, you started it,” Natasha commented, starting to roll off of her more fully. However, Yelena quickly grabbed onto her, taking fistfuls of Natasha’s t-shirt as she held her in place. Natasha let out a slight sight but looked down at Yelena adoringly, brushing strands out of her baby sister’s face.
Yelena, as per usual, melted with the attention, and Natasha leaned forward, pressing her forehead against the blonde’s.
“I love you, sweet girl,” Natasha told her softly, and Yelena’s eyes were so full of adoration as she pushed up and against Natasha’s forehead in reciprocation of the motion.
  “I love you, poser.”

Finding out you’re a Little ft. Inarizaki
I don’t own any art (except the lovely swirly thing). Please check out my masterlist and send in requests. This is an age-regression piece, so expect that kind of content (all non-sexual). Aran’s involves diapers as a medical need.
Tumblr media
Suna
You wanna watch cartoons after a long day of studying for your upcoming university exams.
Suna smirks a little but doesn’t say anything, shrugging as he pulls you up against his chest, the screen flashing with bright colors.
You don’t even notice the smirk and you can feel yourself growing smaller, your eyes shining as you giggle at the silly antics of the characters.
Now, Suna has a faint idea of what’s happening. He’s always on his phone so he sees a lot of different communities and right now, you’re reminding him of something.
“Ya know Princess, you’re acting really cute right now,” he begins, his hands wrapped around your waist as you stare at the TV. You feel rather small and you can’t help but giggle, snuggling back into his chest. Suna always makes you feel so safe, especially when you feel like this. Though, you don’t tend to regress in front of your boyfriend as he (at least in your mind) doesn’t know anything about your tendencies to do so.
“You feeling small?”
That question makes you sit up straight, the cartoons forgotten as you realise what Suna said. Suna knew. He knew you were an age regressor. There was no way he asked that and didn’t understand the implications of it. But… he wasn’t freaking out. He wasn’t grossed out or asking her to stop. So shyly, you nod, holding your breath as you wait for his response.
“Alright, how about we order some pizza for dinner and we just cuddle, keep watching your show?” he hums, making you smile brightly at the thought of having delicious pizza. But, even more so at the fact that your boyfriend knows you so well.
You’ll talk to him more about your age regression tomorrow, when you’re feeling bigger, but for now?
You simply cuddle him, watching your show with a happy heart.
Kita
You can’t stop staring at the coloring books during your weekly shopping trip at the grocery store.
Kita doesn’t say anything, letting you look over them all. He notices you keep going back to a specific one and will suddenly grab it, putting it into the cart.
You jump a little, blushing brightly when you realise that a) he caught you staring at children’s coloring books and b) he’s put it in the shopping cart, clearly intending to buy it for you.
Kita isn’t aware of what age regression is per say, so he simply thinks that you want to color.
“They also do adult coloring books, Y/N,” Kita says, pointing at some of the other ones, but you shake your head no. Those ones are too detailed, too finicky for when you’re little. You’ll only get frustrated and cry, so instead you prefer to use the ones meant for kids.
“That’s alright, do you need crayons or anything?” he continued, acting as if his girlfriend/boyfriend/partner wanting a kids coloring book was normal (AN: totally is).
“Kita, don’t you think it’s… weird?” you finally said, your voice small as you met his eyes. Kita was a straight-forward man and you expected him to be brutally honest with you.
“Why would it be weird?”
“Well… it’s a kids coloring book and I’m supposed to be Big-” you began, cutting yourself off at the last word. You’d meant to say adult.
“Big? Y/N, is everything alright?” Kita asks calmly, moving closer to you. You can feel his hand against the small of your back, a comforting gesture.
“Can… can we talk about it in the car?” you ask, trying to keep yourself calm. You knew it was time to tell Kita (you’d been dating for years now) but even so, it was a scary thought.
“Of course, we’re nearly done with the shopping,” Kita nodded, taking your hand as he led you to get the last few items. Throughout the process of paying and leaving the shop, you didn’t say a word to him, trying to figure out how to best tell him the truth.
“Just sit in the car, darling, I’ll load the shopping,” Kita insists, leaving you to twiddle your thumbs in the front seat, until you hear him get in next to you.
“Y/N, I don’t want to force you to tell me what’s going on, but I want to let you know that you can trust me.”
And with those words, you began to tell him everything about your little side, how you love to color and drink apple juice from your sippy. As you speak, he will ask questions as a lot of the terms you use are unfamiliar to him, but once you’re done, he gives you a small smile, reaching across to grab your hand.
“Y/N, when we get home, may I color with you?”
With a bright smile, you nod, relieved at how accepting your wonderful boyfriend is.
Aran
He finds your “protection” when he’s in your room.
He was really confused and tried to act like he didn’t see it, simply nudging the packaging further under the bed.
But you saw his eyes widen, his face grow red and you know that he knows.
With tears filling your eyes, you push him out your way as you run into the bathroom, locking the door as you sink to the ground, sobbing.
Immediately, he panics, trying the door handle but to no avail.
He has no idea what’s going on, but all he knows is that his beloved girlfriend/boyfriend/partner is upset and he just wants to comfort you.
You were a mess behind the door, sobbing your heart out as the events just kept replaying in your mind. He saw your “adult protection” which, let’s be honest, were just diapers. The fancy name always made you feel a little bit better when buying them, but now, it was just that. A fancy name for a humiliating product. There was no way that Aran wasn’t going to dump you.
“Y/N, please let me in!”
“No! J-Just g-go…”
“I’m not leaving until we talk about this, okay?”
Aran could be stubborn when he wanted to be and you realised that this was going to be one of those times. He wouldn’t leave until you talked to him, even if it took hours.
“C-Can we talk through the d-door?”
“Of course, sweetheart,” you heard him say, his tone gentle and reassuring as you try to pull yourself together.
You then proceeded to very shakily explain about your little space. Aran had his phone out and if he didn’t recognise a word, he quickly googled it as to not have to make you answer his questions. In little space, you sometimes had problems controlling your bladder at night and after waking up with wet sheets far too often, you’d decided it was best to get some form of protection. Once you’d finished speaking, there was a silence.
“I-It’s okay if y-you don’t w-want this, I g-get it…” you whispered, tears filling your eyes once more as you waited for Aran to agree.
“Why would I not want you?”
You immediately sit up, shocked.
“Y/N, I love you, a lot. I think it’s amazing that you’re able to find a way to relax and be happy, not everyone can do that. I think you’re adorable already, I can’t imagine how cute you are when you’re little. I’m so lucky, shoot, I’ve got the cutest girlfriend ever…”
“But what about… ya know…”
“The protection? Sweetheart, that’s not your fault. You’re so brave and smart and kind and amazing and I would be a jerk if I dumped you because of something as silly as that. Heck, I used to change my little sister’s diapers all the time, I’m not bothered by it.”
“I-I’m not asking for your help!”
“Ah, wait, I didn’t mean- like if you wanted or needed it, I’d love to take care of you, even if you need help with that, but only if you want to,” he panicked, bright red as he realised that he was probably being a bit too forward.
There was another pause before the bathroom lock clicked and the door opened.
“L-Let’s t-take it slow… but I’d l-like to watch a movie with you.”
Osamu
You were crying because your mom said she thought she accidentally tossed out your lovie/stuffie.
He was really confused because you were at Miya Onigiri and you just kept crying, so he immediately pulls you into the back room, glaring at the staff to keep them out as he just hugs you. You know that you’re regressing but you’re just in such a panic that you can’t really care, clinging to him as you babble, tears streaming down your face.
Instinctively, he wraps his arms around you, gently bouncing you on his knee as he pats your back, mumbling that,” Everything’s gonna be alright, Y/N, okay? Yer alright, just take a deep breath…”
After a while, you manage to calm down, though you’re still trembling in his arms as you catch your breath. Of course, Osamu isn’t the type to just let things like this slip and he will immediately ask if he can talk to you about it.
“Alright, we need to talk about what happened, Angel,” he sighs, shifting you on his lap so that you’re facing him properly, though he refuses to let you go.
“It’s not that big of a deal…” you mumble, your face now pink and tear-stained as you look away from him. You’d always tried to keep this side of yourself private but hearing that your Mom might have tossed out Bunny… Even thinking about it again was enough to make you tear up, which your boyfriend noticed immediately.
“It seems like a big deal to me,” he replied, moving to wipe away the fresh tears,” C’mon, Y/N, you know I don’t care if it’s embarrassing or something. Remember when I had to call ye because I got food poisoning and that bastard used all the toilet paper?”
You couldn’t help but laugh at the memory, nodding as you let his thumb rub against your cheeks lovingly.
“So, please, I just wanna know,” he finished, giving you a pleading look.
So, you told him everything. He obviously had questions, interrupting you when you used terms he was unfamiliar with and when he just needed something clarified. You grew sadder when you started talking about your rabbit plushie, explaining what had happened and he hugged you to his chest gently.
“That’s awful, Angel, I’m real sorry,” he mumbled,” Listen though. I’m gonna learn more about this and if ya let me, I wanna be a part of it. I like taking care of ye already, so if yer willing to give me a chance, let me try, m’kay?”
You were so happy, you nearly started crying again as you nodded.
“How about helping me look for Bunny after work?”
And with a nod from Osamu, that’s how he became your Daddy.
(afternote: Bunny had fallen behind the bed and was found!)
Atsumu
You accidentally open the door with your paci in your mouth.
He notices it and smiles, wrapping his arms around you without even saying something, though he makes sure to close the door quickly so other people don’t see.
You don’t even realise that you’re wearing your paci until you move to give him a kiss, his hand moving to pull it out before giving you a small peck.
Immediately, you pull back, eyes widened as you try and grab the mouth piece back, humiliated.
Atsumu knows that look in your eyes and immediately gives it back, but not before grabbing your hand and dragging you to the living room, where he pulls you onto his lap for snuggles.
“So… nice paci,” he begins, watching you blush adorably as you hide it in your pockets.
“Thanks,” you mumble, unable to meet his eyes as you wish you could disappear right now or that a coconut would fall from the ceiling and hit Atsumu in the head. Just hard enough to wipe his memory of the last 10 minutes.
“Do ye use it a lot or just sometimes?” he asked. He wasn’t teasing you (as you had expected), seeming to be genuinely curious about your little habit.
“Umm… just sometimes, when I feel like it,” you continue, blushing, nervously playing with your hair as you try to keep calm.
“If ye wanna keep using it, go ahead,” he smiles, pressing a kiss to your forehead.
“You don’t think I’m a freak?”
“What? Has someone said something to you about it?!” Atsumu suddenly exclaimed, his eyes filled with fire. If anyone had teased you about this, he was ready to kick their ass.
“No, no! I was just wondering, most people think stuff like this is weird for an adult…” you mumbled, feeling self conscious. You were so caught up in your thoughts that you didn’t even feel Atsumu reaching into your pocket and grabbing your paci. At least, not until he gently pushed it into your mouth, making your eyes widen. You went to pull it out, but he stopped you gently holding it in place as he spoke.
“I think yer adorable, Y/N. I’m gonna do some more research n stuff, since I think I’ve heard about this, but only if ye want me to.”
You pause, thinking it over before gently nodding, making him smile brightly.
“Alright baby, lets just relax for now.”

wrote this at first to be a reply to this post by @annawrites but it got super long so i figured it would be better just to make it a standalone post
---
it’s a great post about how neil probably has a perfectly functional knowledge of popular culture and how continuously representing him as totally ignorant of it isn’t a fair read of his character or circumstances. neil has incredible street smarts and that involves knowing how to blend in and disappear in a crowd. his knowledge of popular culture is probably eclectic and not very american, so he may not know all the pop culture touchstones that his teammates know, but he definitely knows stuff
meanwhile there are several foxes it would actually make much more sense to have extremely limited or just similarly patchy knowledge of mainstream pop culture
(i’m using “mainstream pop culture” here to refer to a combination of movies, tv shows, celebrities, video games, entertainment and communication technology, music, fashion, pastimes, books, etc. each one has it’s own specific considerations but all together if it was new and popular and timely, it’s pop culture)
---
kevin, for one, i think definitely knows like, next to nothing, and i honestly think it’s weird that people decided neil was the “knows nothing about pop culture guy” rather than kevin. i mean, kevin was raised since childhood in an extremely insular and one-track-minded underground cult. he was literally raised under a rock! you think the ravens were taking the time to watch saturday morning cartoons and disney movies? absolutely not. like i truly do not believe that kevin has ever consumed media in his life. he does not know songs, movies, celebrities, video games, tv shows, nothing. and he also has absolutely no idea that he doesn’t know about these things. neil has a working knowledge of most things even if it has plenty of holes but he knows what the holes are. kevin genuinely does not know that the movie Titanic exists
(also i’m ragging a bit here but this is a genuine analysis and a fascinating way to view kevin’s character and i wish people took more time to think through and flesh out his influences and the effect they had on him)
---
nicky. son of a conservative christian pastor? his access to media was likely heavily censored to remove “sinful” and “ungodly” influences. the media he consumed probably had a heavy christian focus and there were probably tons of mainstream popular things he wasn’t allowed to even look at, like especially things that were maybe a little risqué or sexual, which a lot of 90s and 2000s pop culture was considered to be. i also wouldn’t be surprised if he went to a private christian school that would still keep his chances to access other influences limited even away from his parents’ immediate view. nicky grew up on christian rock and veggie tales. he was forbidden from going trick-or-treating because it was “satanic.” that vein. watch the movie Saved! (2004) to get a sense of what i’m picturing. obviously once he got away to germany he got the chance to branch out and experience a lot of things, but doing things as an adult is very different growing up with them as a child. i also think this feeds into like,, nicky’s enthusiasm and why he tries so hard to get everyone involved in things and get neil to hang out with him so much and it’s not because he pities neil for not knowing these things but rather that he himself is still enthralled by their novelty
---
dan. but also renee, seth, andrew, and possibly aaron to varying lesser extents. these foxes all grew up poor, and access to pop culture is heavily tied to having money, especially in the technology boom of the 90s and 2000s that the foxes came of age in. it’s common for kids from low-income families to be “behind” on popular culture because engaging with it costs money
dan and seth we know grew up in poverty. yes people need entertainment but money considerations have to take priority so what they had access to was probably very touch and go. it’s hard to pin down anything for sure because it just comes down to what their guardians prioritized, but i can say that i doubt they had cable (and it’s possible they didn’t have tv) so their tv influences would be public broadcast rather than like,, disney channel and nickelodeon. dan especially, as someone from the rural poor in north dakota is the one most likely to be out of the loop of mainstream pop culture imo
.
renee’s mother is implied to have also been involved with renee’s gang which makes it really hard to pin things down. gangs and other forms of organized crime tend to have a profit motive but because it’s mostly off the books it’s just,,, different. they may had some money but it’s,,, complicated, and she was still living in an impoverished neighborhood. i really can’t make any guesses about it because i just don’t have any context for it, but i think it’s fair to say her media influences wouldn’t have been entirely mainstream pop culture. then of course she spends a year in juvy and two years in the foster care system, which definitely has very limited access to pop culture
.
andrew being in the foster care system means that his influences were constantly changing. he could have been in houses from a wide range of economic means, but regardless he probably wasn’t treated well or given gifts or access to new toys or anything that requires an additional fee or tool to access. stories from kids who lived in foster care often reveal that even very wealthy houses enforce extreme limitations on their foster kids. the idea that andrew had a foster sibling with a gameboy, an xbox and a tv in their room while andrew himself didn’t even have a bed,,, isn’t outside the realm of possibility. so, probably no video games or internet. limited choice in what movies or tv shows he could watch. social services are wildly underfunded so what he had access to in group homes and “at-risk youth groups” was probably pretty dated
.
we don’t know much about tilda, especially things like her job, but we know aaron grew up in san jose which is one of the most expensive cities/housing markets in the world. this means that they were probably either rich or very poor. personally, i think they were probably poor, which means aaron would have been subject to the same sorts of things as dan or seth in terms of spotty or inconsistent access to a lot of things in popular culture
---
so yea, ig just remember that each fox comes from different and complicated circumstances, that upper-middle-class pop culture experiences are not universal, and it’s weird to think that neil has absolutely no concept of pop culture at all while every other fox is apparently highly in tune with it and all have the same up-to-date experiences

BBRAE Week 2021
Day one: Unconventional Kiss
Garfield Logan was known to have the silliest jokes and pranks at the most stupid and unpredictable times. He was practically famous for it.
Raven knew that, actually everyone did. That's why she often didn't care if he pulled up a prank or cracked a childish joke when everyone least expected. None of those silly jokes got the team into trouble, at least most of the times, so she basically never invested so much into them. He'd always been like this ever since she knew him. It didn't even change when he became an adult. Gar's silly jokes never changed.
But his feelings somehow did.
As an empath Raven could easily feel the slightest changes in everyone. She always knew if something had changed in someone before anyone, even before the person themselves.  Such power was really helpful to the team in many ways. She could feel if someone was being dishonest or too afraid for a mission, maybe even expose a villain's lies. She basically knew things about Titans other titans didn't even have a clue.
She knew about Dick's inner fears, Kory's homesickness no matter how much she tried to hide it, Victor's sadness about his humanity, Donna's insecurities and many more that they didn't dare to share. Despite that, she never pried more than she was allowed to. But being a very powerful empath she was, she often found herself knowing some private secrets she was not supposed to know. It was hard at first but then she learnt to keep this power more under control, not to expose what she knew and maybe even forget them.
But Gar's sudden change of feelings was not something she could easily overlook.
She knew it wasn't as sudden as she wanted to think. She had been feeling it for months now and at first thought it would disappear like many changes of feelings others went through. But not only didn't it stop but it grew stronger each time she felt it.
She knew exactly when it happened. It was long ago in the medical room. She could picture it in her head easily.
She felt his first slight change of feelings when he was badly injured in a mission and she had to spend a long time healing him. It was an ugly fight and if she wasn't quick enough, he might have died. It was a very painful process for her. Absorbing such pain wasn't as easy as she talked about it. The pain would stay with her forever, but it was worth it. Gar was worthy of it. She would always do she could to save him. Whether he knew it or not, he was important to her; more important than she wanted to admit.
When she was done, he opened his eyes and met hers, he smiled at her.
Appreciation
Hurt
Confused
Proud
"None of Vic's medical treatments will ever be as good as your healing touch. Thanks" He said weakly. Raven just nodded at him despite the pain she was feeling at that moment. She didn't want him to feel guilty.
He got up from the bed and sighed.
"But as much as I appreciate it Rae, do me a favor next time will you?" He said pulling away the cover.
"What is it?"
He hesitated for a moment, "Don't heal me next time." She looked at him confused.
Hurt
Scared
Ashamed…?
"Why?"
That was the first time she felt it. A sudden strong feeling coming suddenly and almost overwhelmed her but before she could totally embrace it, it stopped. It only lasted for a very short moment and she wondered if it was from him in the first place. She had just absorbed his pain so she was probably messing up her head due to the pain?
"I can heal myself quickly and Vic's treatments also come in handy. You should use your healing powers for something more important than me."
It wasn't the first time they had this conversation. Gar always asked Raven to never use her healing powers on him and whenever she asked why he always said the same answer.
Something more important? What could possibly be more important than his life?
But before she could ask, the door opened with a bang as Kory came to the room.
"Garfield!" The Princess flew towards the weak man and lifted him up from the ground, hugging him tightly. "I was worried!"
Gar laughed, "No need to be Kory. I'm fine." He looked down at Raven, "All thanks to Raven."
***
Raven tried to forget that strange feeling from that day and she would have been successful if it didn't come to her out of nowhere consistently when she wasn't ready.
Next time she felt it, even stronger than before, was when the Titans decided to have a movie night. They were superheros but even superheros needed some time to be themselves, even if it was just for one night.
It was not unusual for Gar to arrange the whole thing, definitely with Victor's help but mostly himself. He even forced everyone to be in their rooms when he was preparing the movie night in the main room. Dick found it a little extra but who could stop the Changeling? He was always unstoppable when it came to their short gatherings.
Raven was sitting on her bed that night while reading her new book when she heard someone knocking on her door. She knew it was Gar of course. She easily felt him coming to her door excited a minute ago.
Without even looking away from her book, she called. "Yes?"
"Rae it's Gar!" He was definitely too excited for it. It wasn't like they've never done this before but something obviously never changes.
"I'm done preparing the main room for movie night. Everyone is now in the main room. Please join us! The movie I picked is amazing!"
She'd rather not think about the last time he picked a movie to watch. She was so scared that she had to meditate for hours to keep her emotions under control the next day. It was even harder when she could feel others were also scared.
"What genre?" She asked. There was no way she was going to watch another scary movie and absorb others' fear of it for a week.
"Comedy! I promise you'll laugh."
She shook her head. Was he really still into that? She was really impressed by his commitment to take any chance of making her laugh. She appreciated it of course, but found it unnecessary.
She opened her door and found Gar in his pajamas with a grape soda in one hand, offering it to her. She took it, thanking him by a nod.
Happy
Excited
Impatient
He was just so easy to read. He always wore his heart on his sleeve, letting her feel anything he was feeling and since he was usually in a good happy mood, Raven always welcomed his presence.
Not that she would ever tell him that!
"Let's hope this one won't come out as silly as the last time you showed us a comedy movie. It was basically a kid show."
Gar gasped, "How dare Rae! No one is too old for cartoons!"
Raven grinned, "So you agree it was a kid show."
Gar opened his mouth to retort but nothing came. Raven just shrugged and started walking toward the main room with a  grin on her face. Gar quickly caught up with her from behind.
"It still made you laugh! I remember that."
"It didn't. It was just a silly cartoon."
"Do you want me to go and get the security cameras to prove my point?" He winked at her as she tried to hide her smile and the door opened to the main room.
That was the moment she felt it again. That powerful strange feeling. It hit her in every way possible as she tried to find the source. She looked at Gar but his face remained straight.
"Hey Rae! Join us. The movie is about to start." Cyborg said with bags of chips in his hands.
"Where's Wally? He said he would come." Donna asked looking around.
Suddenly Wally appeared on the couch with many bags of snacks and drinks in his arms.
"What are you talking about? I've been here for the last three seconds!" He obviously bought them from the supermarket downtown. It didn't take long for him to come and go.
"Okay then. Now that we're all here. Let's watch it." Dick said.
But Raven couldn't understand what they were saying because that was the moment the feeling faded away as quickly as it came. Was it from Gar? Roy? Donna? She wasn't sure. Gar was always so easy to read. She doubted he could feel something so strong and hide so quickly...but could he? If the feeling didn't belong to him then who was it? Who was the one that possessed this powerful confusing feeling?
She immediately looked down at Kory who was cuddling with Dick on the ground. Kory was indeed capable of that. She was also there when the first time it happened. But what was it? Kory's emotions were always loud to read for her and she usually never hid them. Raven knew it.
Raven sat on her favorite part of the couch which was now filled with pillows and blankets and some of her favorite snacks. Thanks to a certain shapeshifter who outdid it. Despite her curiosity, when the movie started, she tried to forget about that powerful feeling. She only felt it twice and it was probably no big deal. For now maybe she would just enjoy being with her friends rather than investing in something she probably had no role in.
Raven was sitting at the end of the couch with Gar beside her. Vic and Wally were also sitting on the couch while Dick and Kory were on the ground, sharing the same blanket. Donna and Roy were on the ground as well but not as touchy as them. All the Titans knew they were a thing but apparently, they were the only ones who weren't convinced.
This time the movie was actually very funny and she found herself chuckling at some of the parts. The main room was filled with Titans laughter as they enjoyed themselves after a long busy week.
That was all she needed. The whole room was filled with happiness. Everyone had forgotten about missions, stress and plans even if it was for just two hours. Even Boy Wonder wasn't feeling uneasy as he was laughing loudly with Kory by his side whose laughter was so beautiful to hear.
Raven closed her eyes and took a deep breath, letting in all the happy emotions around her,. Even two days of meditation would not give her such peace as this did.
Azar! How much she missed it!
She didn't even care if she missed some parts of the movie as the Titans kept laughing. Them being happy made her happy. She was so deep in herself and in her own world as she didn't even notice she wasn't even watching the movie.
That was the moment that once again, that feeling came to her.
She opened her eyes quickly, looking at all Titans faces to find a clue yet she found nothing strange. Everyone was busy laughing, eating and drinking exactly like how they were before she closed her eyes.
"You okay Rae?" Gar asked as noticed her curious face, "You seem worried."
Raven looked at him, "I thought I felt something."
"Felt something?"
"Yeah." She said looking at everyone again but she didn't spot anything unusual or something she would worry about.
"Anything dangerous?" Gar asked as he stretched his hand to get another soda from behind.
"I don't think so…" She pressed her back to the couch again, trying to let it go. She didn't want to worry Gar for nothing. "It was probably nothing."
"Well I trust your emotions detector more than anything. It saved us more than we can count." He offered her the grape soda he grabbed, "but for now, let's just not overthink things and enjoy the movie. I'm sure if it was anything alarming, you'd know it by now."
Raven took the soda from his hand, "Yeah...Yeah you're probably right."
Gar grinned, "when wasn't I?"
"Do you want a list?"
He laughed. "Maybe I'll ask you to show me later."
Raven smiled at him as he turned his head to the TV and continued watching. He had a point. If it was anything dangerous, she'd have felt it, but it was so powerful to let it go. During the rest of the movie, she felt it come and go very quickly many times, especially the times she was laughing or chuckling. It was weird how the person could switch it on and off whenever they wanted it. Was it a sort of a red alarm? Was it really dangerous? She doubted it because whoever possessed it was in the room and there were only Titans.
But one thing was certain, as much as the feeling didn't feel harmful, it was very powerful that she could detect it among all those happy emotions surrounding her. What could it possibly be? How could such emotion be that strong? It even beat Kory's loud emotions.
But she'd lie to herself if she said it didn't feel so good. Everytime she felt it, she was overwhelmed by it in a very good way. Whatever that was, it put her in peace and gave her warmth. She would be a big liar if she said she wouldn't welcome it the next time she felt it.
***
Even if Raven wanted to let go of that feeling, that feeling didn't seem to let her go.
It came to her in the most unexpected places, rushing through her whole body and leaving before she knew it. She noticed that each time it came, it lasted longer than before but it was still all over the place and Raven couldn't exactly point her finger to anyone; especially because it came to her randomly.
During battles, her daily training routines, her meditations, sometimes even when she was eating lunch or just walking, even when she was reading her book on the couch and minding her own business! Each time it came, there were many of her friends around and it was hard to figure out who it was.
Mostly because a big part of her didn't want to know who it was either.
It was the truth. Raven never went deep in her investigation to realize it. Probably, if she really wanted to she would have realized it long ago, but she feared that if she knew, she wouldn't feel it again. That powerful feeling, whatever it was, put her in peace and gave her strength. She was fed from emotions and one of her friends was giving her something she didn't know how desperately she desired.
A feeling of home, comfort and warmth. She didn't want to lose that! Raven figured if it was from one of her friends, she didn't need to worry about it. It wasn't like she suspected anything bad about it.
Azar! How selfish of her!
She closed her book and sighed, lying on her back on her bed. She was being selfish. What if one of her friends was in trouble and it was their way of giving her a heads-up, or asking for her help? But such an act required a serious knowledge of how her powers worked and she knew none of them had something like that.
Dick and Victor were the only ones who knew how her empathic powers worked better than others but giving her a strange yet amazing feeling to ask for her help didn't match any of them. Dick would have directly said it and Vic was more into technical ways.
She shook her head and tried to let it go. She shouldn't be using her strength over something ridiculous. No one asks for help by filling her soul with a particular strong feeling. No one even knew she was capable of feeling their deepest emotions as much as she let it show and they most of the time forgot it as well.
She heard a gentle knock on her door when she was struggling with herself. It was Gar. She never mistake his aura.
"Hey Rae...are you there?"
It was a stupid question. Everyone knew that Beast Boy could easily pick up anyone's scent even from far away or hear their heart beats if he wanted to. His heightened powers gave him advantages that most of the time they forgot he had even; just like her.
Pulling her hood down, she walked to the door and it opened as she stood in the doorway.
"Yes?"
Gar was in his casual clothes. A dark jacket with a T-shirt underneath, his dark jeans and a cap. She would never tell him, but he looked very handsome in them. She quickly put that weird thought away before it got somewhere she didn't want it to get.
He was standing with one hand behind his back and his usual smile on his face.
Joyful
Delighted
Self-conscious?
Nervous?
Shy?
"Great!" He looked around making sure no one was near. Yeah he was definitely nervous but why?
"Is everything okay?"
"Oh everything is great! I was just…" He scratched the back of his head with his other hand nervously.
"Well…?"
He sighed, "Well I was in the city to get some fresh air and I passed by your favorite bookstore...thought of something you might like to read but then I saw this." He took out a book from his back with his hand and Raven's eyes widened in surprise. "I know you've been reading the first novel of this series...I thought you want the second novel soon." He stretched his hand and gave it to her. Raven was flattered if she was honest. Gar knew what book series she was reading and bought her the second part of it! She never even thought someone like Gar, who couldn't really focus on reading books, actually cared about her hobbies so much that he knew what she wanted; even before she told him anything.
He suddenly looked scared, "Please tell me you haven't bought it already!"
Raven shook his head. "No, I haven't."
Gar sighed in relief a bit dramatically, "Thank God that would have been awkward."
Pressing the book on her chest, Raven said, "Thanks Gar."
He smiled, "No problem Rae."
That was the moment it hit her again; that familiar feeling. Raven looked around. No one was there except them. There was her chance. This time she had to put her selfishness aside and for once make everything clear.
She closed her eyes for a moment and took a deep breath. With just Gar around her, she was now able to figure out who it was.
"You okay Rae? You seem...paler than usual." Gar asked worriedly.
All of the sudden, Raven opened her eyes.
"Where are the others?" She knew the answer but had to make sure.
"Oh? Well Dick and Kory are out, thinking it's a great time to have some alone time. Vic is in his room, coming up with a new technology which I still didn't understand. Don't tell him that though. Donna is on her secret date but let's be honest we all know it's Roy." He laughed and continued, "Wally is off to meet his family and said he would be back…" He took a glance at his watch, "in 45 seconds top."
Raven looked uneasy and pulled the cloak tighter around herself, looking down.
"So...it's just you and me here?"
Gar shrugged casually, "Yeah pretty much but don't worry. If anything happens, we can handle it. It's not the first time we might face a threat alone." He gave her a reassuring smile, "and others are probably heading back as well. So yeah no need to worry."
She wanted to tell him she was not worried at all. She was shocked! But she couldn't bring herself to tell him that right now because she wasn't sure about it.
"Well I'm headed to the kitchen. Do you want me to make something for you? You haven't gotten out of your room since morning. You must be hungry."
Raven tried not to look suspicious so she looked at him with a forced smile, "No thanks."
"You sure? I wouldn't make it too vegetarian for you."
"No no thanks…"
Gar simply shrugged, "Okay."
He turned around and started walking away. Raven looked down at the book then at him for a second and before she knew it she was speaking.
"Thanks again Gar...I appreciate what you did for me."
He turned his head back to her with a smile, "Anytime Rae. If you ever feel hungry, you know where I am."
The door opened and closed and he disappeared from her sight as he went to the kitchen.
Raven stood there for a couple of moments, not believing what she just found out. It was him! That strange feeling came from Gar himself. She just couldn't believe how easy it was to figure it out. It was so obvious. He was there anytime she felt it. It made sense it was coming from him.
But it wasn't Gar who surprised her, what he was feeling shocked her more than anything.
She suspected that she had felt that feeling before and it turned out she was right. She felt it from all titans before; especially from Kory on great levels.
It was love.
Of course it was love! Only love was so powerful that could give her such warm feelings from inside and put her in such a peace no meditation could ever do. Love was a powerful emotion, she knew it better than anyone.
She held the book harder as she looked down. The realisation hit her harder than she expected. She didn't know why she regretted knowing the truth or why she wasn't happy about it.
Gar was in love...it was a truth she wished she never knew.
***
"Have you noticed Garfield has been acting...weird recently?"
Raven asked Victor days later at the gym as he was lifting up weights and she was done meditating. After knowing the secret behind the strange feeling, Raven started to avoid Gar in a subtle way. She was ashamed of prying too much into his emotions when it was obvious he was trying to hide it; so the farther she was from him, the better.
That didn't stop her curiosity though.
"No, why?" Vic asked casually, "Did that green ass do something stupid again?"
"No…" she lowered her voice.
It was hard talking about it. She already knew something she believed she shouldn't have and now she was trying to know more. It was wrong, yet she really wanted to know.
"Then what is it?" Vic's question brought her back to the gym, "You seem worried."
"No, not worried. It's just...he seems different. He...feels different." She said the last part in more of a whisper but Victor heard her.
Shocked
Uneasy
Surprised
Scared?
Yet his face didn't show anything. He just gave her a blank look. Victor was good at not showing his emotions but not as good at not feeling them.
"What I mean is…" she felt stupid in asking, "Is he seeing someone?" Her question tasted bitter on her tongue and she felt she didn't want to know the answer.
This time Victor stopped his exercise and turned his head to her, giving her a questioning look. Raven kept her face straight, not letting him see more than she allowed it but she knew her question wasn't something to just ignore. Victor was curious to know why she would ask such things, especially about the Changling of all people.
After some intense moments, Victor turned back on exercising. "No."
His answer was way firmer than she expected. Raven was taken back on how he seemed upset about her question.
"No, he's not seeing anyone. At least not someone I know." His words sounded angry and Raven wasn't sure why.
"Why are you angry Victor? I just asked a question." He scoffed.
"It's not you Rae…" he lowered his voice, "Stupid green bean!"
"What?"
He looked at her with an angry face. "You're the empath here. You should know it by now."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
Before she could get any answer from him, the gym's door opened with a bang.
"The Animal Man is here!" Gar shouted excitedly, "Please cheer for the new gym captain!"
He was in his sports clothes with his towel on his shoulder and a big speaker in his hand. He almost seemed to be at a party rather than at the gym.
"There's no such thing, Animal Man." Dick said following Gar from behind.
Gar put the speaker on a table and turned to the Boy Wonder with a grin, "well I guess I just invented it." His eyes landed on Raven and Victor. "Oh hi Cy! Rae!"
Victor stood up suddenly and walked towards his best friend. Raven could feel how his anger leaving his body the moment he saw Gar. His sudden change of mood surprised her, especially because it was Victor.
"Looks like someone is here to get his ass kicked." He patted Gar's shoulder.
"Oh you wish! I beat Richard, you're easy."
"Only once." Dick said in defense, "and only because you were lucky."
"Two out of three isn't once and it sure as hell wasn't luck."
"Well I guess there's one way to find out." Victor said.
Raven felt her presence was not welcomed anymore. She wanted to leave the gym as soon as she could. Seeing Gar was hard especially when she knew his little secret when she was not allowed. However, the moment he stepped in the gym, his love poured over her like a waterfall. It was hard to stay and harder to leave.
If only she didn't dig in too much! She regretted it more than anything. If she let it be the way it was, maybe she wouldn't feel uncomfortable around him anymore. So what if Gar was in love with someone? It wasn't her business. She shouldn't care! He could be in love with anyone he wanted. It wasn't like it mattered to her. It didn't matter!
She wished she could sound more convincing in her head.
"What do you say Rae?" Gar's voice interrupted her thoughts.
"Hmm?"
"I asked if you wanna judge the game, to see who's better?"
He was close, too close and he was letting her feel everything! She wasn't sure if it was his doing or was it because she already knew his deepest emotion; as in she couldn't turn back.
Up close, Gar looked way better than from far. When did he start to look so attractive to her? Did she always find him attractive? She knew he was good looking but now it felt different from the last times. It had changed! Something had changed about him, or maybe about her?
She should leave. She should leave as soon as she can.
"Sorry I can't." She said quickly flying over him to the exit door.
"W-what? Raven you okay?"
She didn't even look back, "I'm fine." And left the room with no other words, leaving the boys there confused.
Except that she wasn't. She wasn't fine at all. Something was happening with her and she knew it was all because of her nosiness from that day. Love was a powerful emotion. Something she shouldn't just mess with especially when Gar initially had kept it hidden within himself. There must have been a reason why he didn't let her feel it in the first place.
But it didn't matter how many times she told herself otherwise, she couldn't help but wonder about Gar's secret lover.
Was she a superhero too? Was she blonde? Azar was it Cassie? No! Gar would never go after girls way younger than him. Then who? A normal citizen no Titan knew of? Someone he met online? He could do that. He just needed to take a picture of himself in those sports clothes and everyone would be all over him.
"Raven? What's with the rush?" She heard Donna's voice as she and Kory were headed to the gym as well. They were both in their sports outfits as well.
She stopped flying and landed on the ground before them. Kory got a worried face as soon as she looked up.
"Raven, are you okay?"
"Yeah...just finished meditating at the gym." She tries to sound normal, "the guys are already there."
"Yeah we know." Donna said, "but are you okay?"
Raven raised an eyebrow, "I am. Why do you both keep asking?"
Donna and Kory exchanged some confused looks and Raven just wished she knew what it was about. She didn't want to get into another intense conversation or an awkward one like the ones she had back at the gym with them. She needed to be alone right now more than anything.
Kory stepped closer to her, "Raven... you're blushing!"
***
Life always put people in the most unexpected situations, kind of like Gar's jokes; you basically couldn't predict them.
But Raven was used to find herself in situations she didn't expect, being Trigon's child gave her that. She was herself unexpected.
It wasn't that Raven was unfamiliar with love. Maybe the time she just left Azarath she could say she was, but it was years ago. She gained more control over her powers and emotions ever since. If she could recall correctly, she always felt love from others, especially when they were younger with more unbalanced emotions.
She felt Kory and Dick's love throughout the years and the alien princess could overwhelm anyone with her emotions, let alone a powerful empath like Raven herself. She felt Donna and Roy's thing with each other, Victor and Sarah's and Gar's.
Azar! Even her own!
So why did it feel so different this time? Why was it so powerful? Raven knew Gar's love before. She'd witnessed many of his crushes before her own eyes. But this time? This love? It was so different on considerable levels.
"Raven! Cover Flash!" Kory shouted as she tried to block the attacks from this demonic creature who seemed to just get out of hell. A gift from her father? Raven decided not think about it.
As Wally was running fast towards the creature, Raven used her soul-self to block the fires. The monster was indeed strong and possessed dark magic as she felt it.
A green flying eagle flew above her fast and went straight to the monster. Raven saw how Gar shifted into a gorilla and attacked it with his power hands. A smile appeared on her face. His presence alone always made her smile.
She still didn't get the time she wanted to talk with him. After her awkward conversation with him at the gym, Raven couldn't get the courage to ask about his feelings; mostly because she was afraid if he was actually in love with someone.
She didn't know how to approach the subject either. For all that matter, Raven wasn't the titan with the best social skills. How was she supposed to start the conversation even? And tell him she basically invaded his mind and his privacy by accident? When she knew it wasn't an accident at all? That she knew he was in love? That she was jealous? To the point she couldn't stop thinking about him?
As if she would ever do that.
So Raven waited for the right moment. A moment she was brave enough to talk about it. It was frustrating how this right moment she was waiting for didn't come for weeks. The universe hated her. She had to endure months to finally find out about the truth and now weeks to talk about it? She knew what he felt, she knew what she felt and that was the biggest problem.
A familiar yell caught her attention as she saw Gar being thrown in the air.
"Beast Boy!"
He tried shifting to something to reduce the pain of landing hard but he was too weak for that. Gar crashed on the ground hard with a hand on his side, trying to stop the cut from bleeding.
Letting go of what she was asked to do, Raven quickly teleported herself on the ground where Gar was lying on the ground groaning in pain.
"Oh Azar…" she whispered as she kneeled down above his head. There was a big cut on his side which he was covering. Raven put her hand on his and tried to remove it so she would heal her but Gar didn't stopped her.
He groaned. "Don't Rae… it's not that important." His voice was weak, "Go help the others. I'm fine."
Raven frowned. "You're bleeding. If it doesn't stop soon it will get dangerous. You might even die."
And it scared her. She couldn't just leave him because of his stubbornness. She had to heal him before it caused him his death. Raven made a move with her hand and made a magical force bubble around them to prevent any attacks or interruptions.
Gar opened his eyes slightly.
"I heal quickly...you know that." He hissed for a second and continued, "Don't waste your power on me...Go!"
It all started with a similar moment didn't it? Him asking her not to heal him. It was months ago by now and Raven remembered all of his words. It all started that day, maybe she would finish it today.
She put his head on her thighs and looked at him upsidedown. Putting her hands on his cheeks, she started to caress them gently.
Stubborn or not, Raven couldn't leave him.
Gar smiled through his pain. Weakly he put his free hand on her and leaned to her touch.
"Raven…" he whispered.
And then it hit her. Raven's heart froze as she realized how stupid she was the whole time. Gar was in love with her!
It all made sense now. How could she be so blind over something so obvious? Anyone even without her powers would have figured it out already. It was right before her eyes. There was a reason Gar's feeling was more powerful than others, that she felt it stronger than others, why he tried to hide it from her, why such a powerful feeling never left her head...and her heart.
She just looked down at him. He was so lost into his world that he didn't feel she had already started the healing process; she knew it because he would have stopped her. It was painful and she tried hard not to make any sound so he wouldn't notice what she was doing.
"God It feels...it feels like heaven…" his words got her attention from his wound to his face. Even wounded, Gar was smiling and making her smile as well. It was what he excelled. He always managed to make her happy even though she didn't admit it.
She was done heading him yet she didn't let go and he didn't seem to be willing to leave the situation either. He looked so in peace and it was heartwarming.
She looked down at his lips. They were slightly apart and hot breath was coming out of his mouth. Raven bent down a bit, still staring at his lips. His smile never left them and Raven realized she couldn't stop herself either.
Still caressing his cheeks, Raven closed her eyes and kissed his lips upsidedown.
Azar she was kissing him! And how much it felt amazing! His lips were soft on hers and she felt him kissing her back shortly after. A smile appeared on her lips as she kept kissing him gently. That's what she wanted. Him with her. How much of a fool she was not to realize it sooner. It felt as if her lips were meant to be on his at that particular moment; and she figured she didn't mind if these moments become more often.
"Guys! Really?!" It was Roy, "in the middle of a battle?
Neither of them cared as they kept kissing. A battle, a mission or even an apocalypse, none of them could take away this moment from her. She had waited long for this to finally happen.
They broke the kiss slowly. She didn't open her eyes and knew Gar didn't either. She could feel his breaths on her face and his hand on hers. He was rubbing his tomb on her hand. She heard him chuckle.
"You knew it all the time, didn't you?"
Love...
For that moment, that was all he was feeling. She smiled.
"Well, you're always easy to read Gar."

What do you like and dislike about Disney's version of Hunchback?
I love most of the music. LOVE. I can’t think of any other Disney musical where all three main characters get an I Want Song, they’re all good, and two of them specifically exist to call out Catholic Church hypocrisy. The opening number is the most Broadway opening I think they’ve ever produced, that manages to introduce the narrative framework, a decent number of main characters, the main moral theme, the backstory, and all the main musical themes in the span of like six minutes. Hellfire is also one of the best Disney villain songs. Is it catchy like the others? No, but it is all the more chilling for how real it is. Not everyone knows an evil wizard, but everyone knows a conflicted fanatic who justifies their actions through dogma. Frollo’s villainy is so grounded in reality that it’s really terrifying to watch - his crimes seem that much more real. They managed to tackle some really difficult stuff in this movie.
I also don’t care too much about the plot changes - this has been done plenty of times before. But what’s particularly poignant is that, while it’s executed kind of clumsily, this movie makes a point that the protagonist doesn’t always “get” the girl in the end as a trophy, and that can be ok. Quasimodo is the foil to Frollo, and they both see Esmeralda as an archetype: either an angel or a demon. Phoebus didn’t win Esmeralda over because he was hot; he was the only person who learned to see her as an autonomous and strong human being, and was able to respect that.
That said, I just wish that if Disney was so willing to take a risk like this movie, that they just went all out and eliminated the comedy that just doesn’t fit. Not all of the comedy is bad (the old guy who keeps falling into stuff? Gold), it just doesn’t belong in this movie. The weight of an entire city burning down because of one person’s genocidal mania doesn’t need cartoon sound effects and Goofy screams as people are being thrown off the side of a building into a pool of molten lead. They came so close to throwing caution and their brand to the wind and doing something experimental for adults, and they blew it for the sake of marketing it to a family audience.
You don’t even have to take out the gargoyles really, just tone them down. It’s suggested several times that they might just be in Quasimodo’s imagination, and how heartbreakingly dark would that be if it were true? They do this in the stage version and it works a bit better. (I don’t blame Jason Alexander for this - he was hired for a reason and he did what he was told to do in what was probably a really toxic environment where he could have been fired at any second. This movie was being made during the Disney implosion where Jeffrey Katzenburg resigned in a flaming ball of hate and immediately started working on a movie where the villain was named Fuckwad and had Michael Eisner’s face, so...great leadership there guys)
Also they obviously had an opportunity to fix the Romani representation in the book and they did not go far enough. Our ideas about representation have changed a lot in 25 years though.
On the whole though, when this movie works, it does some really unique and beautiful things that haven’t been tackled since.

Frilda, My Toy Ship
Tumblr media
Now before anyone freaks out let my start by saying that TV Tropes defines a toy ship as:
Tumblr media
Which I don’t normally do because I don’t watch a lot of shows that have actual little children in them. I think it’s weird, but that’s for another time. Normally the characters I ship are teens or adults, but they’re all animated and you know fictional so it really doesn’t matter. But this time I had to stop and go, “Huh, that’s actually quite nice.”
Even though this is a lumity blog, I’m not saying this ship is like lumity. There are some similarities but there are a good share of differences. My main point is that Netflix’s Hilda is underrated and should be appreciated. And if you want a network to like a show as much as you do, get those numbers up. Keep watching and re-watching The Owl House on Disney Plus+ and watch Hilda on Netflix a few times. I’m confident you’ll enjoy it. Why?
Here’s why:
First off, what is Hilda?
Tumblr media
Hilda is a British-Canadian animated television series based on the graphic novel series of the same name by Luke Pearson. Produced by Silvergate Media and Mercury Filmworks, the series follows the adventures of fearless Hilda, a blue-haired girl who, along with her deerfox Twig, moves to the city of Trolberg, where she befriends even the most dangerous monsters. The series debuted on 21 September 2018 as a Netflix exclusive to overwhelming critical acclaim. Yes, I just copied that from Wikipedia. Shut up.
I personally love the show. The characters are charming. The animation and color pallet are so easy on the eyes that you can just stare at the show. The music is nice, and the stories are fun. And while I would not call this an action show, it is definitely an adventure show.
But you’re not here for a review; you’re here for a ship.
Frilda, who and why?
Tumblr media
Hilda is, obviously, the main protagonist and Frida being one of her best friends. I’m going to try to be as spoiler free as I can but there will be light spoilers for context so you can understand what I’m talking about.
Hilda is a young girl (around the 9-12 age) who grew up with her mom in a cabin out in the wilderness, miles away from other humans. She spent her days exploring the wild and having adventures with her deerfox, Twig. But when plot related things happen, her mom decides that they need to move into the city. Hilda doesn’t want to but when the plot literally stomps its way in, they have no choice.
Hilda isn’t very good at getting used to the city until her mom signs her up for the Sparrow Scouts, a scouting and camping group that Hilda’s mother was a part of growing up. There she meets the other half of our ship, Frida.
Tumblr media
Frida grew up in the city of Trollberg with her parents. If you’ve watched as many cartoons as I have you’ll recognize this character type. She’s very smart and is the overachiever. She’s always trying to be perfect, tidy and spot on. She admits that she wanted Hilda in her group because helping a new kid earns you more points in the Sparrow Scouts. Yay?
You would think that this means that they’re opposites and their personalities immediately clash and Hilda has to learn to be more tidy and Frida has to learn to be more loose and fun. Hilda is street-smart and Frida is book-smart. All that jazz.
But none of that happens.
Tumblr media
Yes Hilda is very outgoing and a bit more laid back, but she is adventurer. Hilda needs to be physically doing something. Frida at the same time need to be accomplishing something. She needs to be fulfilling a goal, getting that badge, crossing some finish line. But you can’t accomplish anything without action.
Tumblr media
The best metaphor I can give for this ship is that Hilda focuses on the process while Frida focuses on the outcome. They both still have the same goals, and they both are still girls of action.
Frilda, who and why?
Tumblr media
So yes the characters are charming and are canonically good friends. So why ship them? Well (aside from the fact that I can’t help myself and always have to ship something from every franchise I come across)...
Like most ships that probably will never be canon, there so many little moments in the show the push towards something a little deeper than friendship. Bits and pieces that show that they think of each other as more than friends. I would like to list them, but that’s a chore by itself and I think you should watch it yourself on Netflix anyway.
But one of my favorites is even when they are mad at each other and arguing, Frida calls Hilda “the cool wilderness girl.” Show her what you really think. 😏
Tumblr media
I’ve always argued that the best ships are not “opposites that attract” but “compliments that complete each other.” That sounds like the same thing but it’s not. If Hilda and Frida were opposites, Hilda would be an adventurer and Frida would stay home all day and hate adventures. Frida and Hilda (like all good ships) are compliments. Frida thinks of a plan and Hilda carries out that plan.
Theme Song
“Witch’s Wand” by SLOAN
I was told that people don’t do this anymore, but I love picking theme songs and making playlists for my ship. While I don’t have a playlist for this ship, there was a song in the second season that is really good. Don’t worry about spoilers. You won’t understand without context.
.
Thanks for reading my shipping manifesto for Frilda. Feel free to let me know what you think and since I had a lot of fun doing this let me know if you wouldn’t mind reading another for one of my other favorite ships. Stay safe and watch your favorite shows on repeat or they might be cancelled.

Dan Povenmire, co-creator of Phineas and Ferb and the voice of Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz, just did a zoom call for fans, and this is a link to it on Google Drive and a link to it on YouTube.
Here’s a brief overlay brought to you by my incessant live blogging, and because I was speed typing on my phone, I can guarantee not everything made the cut. If you’re interested in hearing Dan talk about growing up an artist and becoming an animator and trying to pitch Phineas and Ferb and working on the show and movies, I would definitely suggest checking out the full 75 minute video. The highlights from the call are below the cut.
They added Doof and Perry because they liked chase scenes. They realized fairly quickly that more than not, the pair led to good comedy, and found it much more interesting to see how their relationship developed. He also says that they are "the most important person to each other” and “they’re really good friends.”
They wrote the Perry theme song in an hour between meetings with Disney
They decided during the pilot that they weren't going to try to get comedy from the characters saying mean things to each other. Even Doofenshmirtz wasn't motivated by evil, he just wanted to get the attention he didn't get at home.
Doof’s backstories were not Dan and Swampy's idea. They were from Jon Barry and Chris Hendrick, who [itched the lawn gnome backstory. It was long and compliated and Dan and Swampy couldn’t stop laughing. They also provided the "it all started on the day of my birth” one the next day.
making the 2D movie while making the movie was the busiest Dan says he has ever been, and that's not even counting the PnF Take Two and Doof's web show and all the interviews. Basically, 2010ish was a very busy time in the Dwampyverse.
They decided to give each pair of writers their own section of an outline to work on, and each pair got to make up the dialogue and jokes based on it. it works well for the show, but writers kept going on their own tangents and the movie ended up like 6 hours long. Dan and Kyle Menke had to redraw 80% of the show because they had to cut gags out and rewrite it so it was still funny. Note: in the new movie, they did the opposite — they wrote a script and told the board artists that they could put brief gags in but nothing too long
He thinks the show became one of the most beloved shows bc it was innocent and the adult humor wasn't dirty so the whole family could watch it together. He also said the songs at the closest thing you get to immortality in a show. Those combined made the show as big of a hit as it was, and hopefully those things will get older people to watch the movie.
His advice if you want to follow in his footsteps are to draw (and suggest you check out Cartoon Animation by Preston Blaire and How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way by Stan Lee) and to know that these jobs are out there
One of his favorite gags in PnF are the silent moments where something big happens and no one reacts (like something big fell in an early episode and crashed next to Phineas and co and at first they were all shocked but Dan changed it to them just kinda looking at it for a moment with no emotion)
Q: Did you ever want to quit what you were going?
A: "I don't really... do... anything else..."
He finished his new pilot today (July 2nd, 2020) and the movie is due tomorrow.
He would love to do more PnF and there's been talks of another PnF movie
He would love to do more Milo Murphy's Law, but it never got huge ratings and Disney's not too big on it but if people start watching it on Disney+ they might get to keep doing it. They did that with Family Guy, and it could happen to MML too.
The movie feels like old Phineas and Ferb and there are a lot of great songs!
And now, the Q&A (in which he draws random characters are he talks)
How was the process of kicking the voices?
It was sometime easy but sometimes very difficult. For Phineas, they listened to maybe a thousand people. they actually recorded someone but they put it to animation and it didn't really work. He knew as soon as he heard Vincent that he loved him. They literally recasted the lead (Vincent) the day before they had to deliver the pilot.
He knew immediately that he liked Alison Stoner. She was the second Isabella he heard, and he listened to maybe 50 others afterwards, but he knew he wanted Alison Stoner
They decided on a different Candace and they sent it to the head of the channel and the guy asked if he heard Ashley Tisdale. He told Dan to have her come in and give her direction and Dan was hesitant bc he had one that he liked but he was lowkey forced to bring her in. It was his only audition that day, and after his big block of text Dan gave her like 20 notes and she wrote the notes on the big block of text and she did it again and it was perfect and obviously Candace (but he feels bad for the actress that was almost Candace bc she'll never know how close she was)
What was the most impactful episode you worked on?
Either the last (hard to watch w/o crying) or three moments that made himcey while doing them: the end of Summer Belongs To You when Phineas gives up trying to get off the island and decides to watch the sunset with Isabella which was what she always wanted and she exploded and talked him back up onto being the person he is even tho it's a sacrifice on her behalf. He later says he started crying while pitching to his wife the AYA scene of Phinabella getting together.
Do you regret any episodes?
There are some he likes more and some he likes less but he doesn't regret any of them. He was a little disappointed in an early episode without a sing but he watched it alter and decided it was actually pretty decent. None of them make him cringe or wonder why they did that.
How has social media impacted PnF?
He recently got on TikTok and found out that's where all the PnF fans are. He was thrilled to see the response everything was getting and it made him feel good about everything he accomplished. The fact that this generation knows what an aglet is is his biggest accomplishment in pop culture.
Favorite part of working on the show/movie
He likes editing, but writing the songs is the most fun bc it feels the least like work
Who is Ferb's mom?
Never established or really thought about Ferb's mom or Phineas's dad AND IT'S NOT DOOFENSHMIRTZ THEY MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR THAT TO BE TRUE STOP ASKING and Phineas and Candace are full brother and sister. The bio parents aren't interesting to them bc the family already has a mom and dad and the other ones are just out of the picture and not important.
Will there be a new character in the movie?
Super Super Big Doctor (and Disney keeps telling him what he can and can't talk about)
Are there any secrets or theories that he can tell them?
The freaking creepy pasta about schitzophrenic Candace IS NOT TRUE Phineas and Ferb do exist and are alive. There's also a theory that Candace is not based on the diary of a teen girl in Russia who killed herself, and that's not true either. He genuinely thinks they are really freaking stupid theories and they make no sense at all.
Who is your favorite guest star?
Writing a song with Slash from Guns n Roses was really cool. He also liked working with Ben Stiller, Christian Slater the delivery guy (he called and said he'd do any part in MML so they wrote him a role), Jack McBrayer (Irving/Fix It Felix), Wayne Brady (co-wrote In The Empire)
What is the motivation of Candace to bust the boys?
He's not trying to hurt them. She doesn't dislike them. She gets irritated but she's really just looking for fairness. If she built a rollercoaster in the backyard, she'd get in trouble, so they should get in trouble, too.
How did you think about hot to end the show?
Disney was starting to cool off on PnF. The merch wave had plateaued. Dan and Swampy had the next two years in the show already made, but Disney wouldn't pick up another season until they finished airing that season. They'd have to restaff for a new season and they didn't like that idea, so they turned one of their hour long specials into the finale. He wanted to be able to say goodbye and thank the fans.

The City Kids
Summary: Akiza doesn't know why she agreed to babysit the twins, it had been a long while she'd had to interact with a child for more than a few minutes. Really, couldn't anyone else have done this? Oh well, since she was here, she'd have to make the most of it.
Large empty houses, complete with white walls and pristine floors cleaned by a collection of staff, were nothing new to Akiza. Her mother had worked part-time, and her father had been a mayor, so their house had always been lavish and vacant except for Akiza. Sometimes, Akiza wondered that if she had gotten a different deck, or been a bit more lost in the past on the day she had chosen her moniker, would she have been known as the Rose Ghost?
It was a particularly stupid thought, but sometimes stupid thoughts were at least entertaining, and that included when it was sitting around a table with Leo and Luna and coming up with new monikers for all three of them.
Out of perhaps all the Signers, the twins were the people Akiza held the least ill-will against. She still couldn’t help but be a bit peeved at Yusei for his initial win against her, and Jack and Crow were… loud. Despite Akiza’s unilaterally positive feelings towards the twins, she had still panicked for over an hour when she had been asked to babysit them for the day.
Beyond the fact that Akiza had no skills with young children, these two children happened to be ones that she had been responsible for traumatizing. Perhaps not directly, but she had been a part of Arcadia, and she had been there for Leo’s duel against Sawyer. She wouldn’t blame either of them for being at least a little wary of her, if not outright hostile.
To her surprise, when she had entered their apartment, Leo had immediately demanded a duel with her, and Luna had peppered her with shy questions about her powers.
Akiza… wasn’t very comfortable with dueling a ten year-old when she was only now truly learning to control her powers, but Leo didn’t seem too put off by her refusal, instead he had started showing her his deck and babbling on.
Somehow, that situation had ended with them sitting at the table and coming up with stage names for each of them. Leo insisted on calling them superhero names, which Luna had commented was just the influence of too many cartoons. Now, that had started an argument.
“Superheroes are super cool and you just don’t like them because you don’t have taste!”  Leo waved his hands around, nearly smacking his sister’s face by accident, though she leaned back just in time. “They come in and--- and they save the day like woosh and talk about how you’re supposed to do the right thing!”
“But spies actually have brains? Yknow, like, braincells? I know you lost yours in the supermarket, but they actually do help with problem-solving.” Akiza had not known until today how sarcastic Luna could be, and she could honestly say that if she wasn’t panicking at how to stop the argument, she would’ve been impressed. “Superheroes can talk about doing the right thing, but ultimately they just punch people and propagate a cycle of violence.”
“They do not! They’re trying to stop these people from committing murder! And most of them don’t commit murder themselves, it’s all about showing how you don’t need to be mean to stop people from being mean!” Leo cried out.
“Those lessons may hold in stories, but in real life murder seems like a very viable option. I would’ve loved to stab that ape king that nearly killed me in the spirit world,” Luna countered.
Akiza should’ve never agreed to babysit. If Akiza was a ghost, at least then she wouldn’t be subject to whatever punishment she was met with for letting the children get this rowdy.
    Well, here goes nothing.
Akiza cleared her throat, catching the attention of neither child. They continued her argument, blissfully unaware of her imploding existence. “Murder isn’t a good answer to your problems, Luna.” She finally got out.
Luna turned to meet Akiza’s eyes, embarrassment flooding her countenance. Unlike her snappish, sarcastic tone with her brother, Luna was much shy in her speech to Akiza. “Sorry, I know that.”
“I mean, property damage is a much better way to make someone leave you alone and fear you,” Akiza added, because from her slight memories of interacting with children, she knew you weren’t just supposed to chastise them, but rather direct them towards better behaviors. Positive reinforcement.
Luna blinked at her, clearly mulling over Akiza’s advice, while Leo had also fallen silent as he considered Akiza’s point. “But if we committed property damage, wouldn’t that security guy who chased Yusei everywhere come after us?” Leo pointed out.
...who? Was Leo referring to Officer Trudge? Perhaps this was something Akiza had missed while she had remained in Arcadia.
Nevertheless, Leo’s point about the police was a good one, however… “It depends on where the property damage is, I suppose. If we’re talking about the spirit world, I doubt they have a police force that would chase you there.” Akiza responded, and they both turned to Luna to confirm that point.
“I don’t remember there being any police in the spirit world, it’s more community governed, and I doubt any of the spirits would mind,” Luna shrugged.
“Then yes, property damage seems like a perfectly reasonable way to solve that hypothetical problem,” Akiza nodded, and both children looked at her with wide, adoring eyes.
    It was terrifying.
“...You wanna watch cartoons now?” Leo offered.
Luna scoffed at her brother’s offer before Akiza could even respond. “Akiza’s an adult, she obviously doesn’t want to watch your superhero cartoons, we should watch my spy ones instead!”
The two continued arguing while Akiza went and cooked some popcorn, the sound of kernels exploding masking their sounds. Her advice hadn’t stopped them from arguing for long, so now she was on to plan b, which was giving them food so they had no room in their mouths for sly comments.
And with her in control of the remote and ordering that they take turns, the rest of the day was a bit less eventful overall.
It wouldn’t be until months later that Luna asked Akiza for the best way to burn down a castle.

NSFW - ADULT NONSENSE AHEAD.
Come for the porn, stay for the sub-par fluff.
Tumblr media
It was definitely a way to spend the winter solstice.
His clawed fingers slipped down the front of her body, between her breasts and curled around her navel. The warm light from the fireplace flickered over her skin, casting pornographic shadows over her form. Outside the secluded cabin, the world was quiet and still, snow falling in thick blankets around them. But inside these walls, Raven was helping him ride out the worst of his mating desires.
She was beneath him gasping, her eyes heavy-lidded and her hips thrusting against nothing. She was a mess of sweat and need, staining the sheets beneath them, and Gar hadn’t even let her come yet. He grabbed the glass dildo on the nightstand and let it shine in front of her face, showing it off. It was a pale green color and shaped like a thick, curled tentacle. She had scoffed at it when he showed it to her before, but now she looked desperate.
She had agreed to let him tie her up, her wrists were wrapped with silk ribbon and secured to the headboard.
“Look at you…” His voice was low and raw, the Beast trying to push through his control and claim her. “... panting like a bitch in heat. Do you want this?” He rubbed the ridged edge of the dildo along the side of her clit in a painfully slow motion. Raven arched off the bed and she spread her legs wider. “Oh, you do want this.” He slipped it inside her with no resistance at all, pushing in and pulling out with a teasing grin.
“You should see yourself, Raven. God, you’re a mess.” He leaned between her spread legs and sucked on her clit, still moving the dildo at an agonizing pace. She moaned and pushed her hips up into his mouth, and Gar sucked herder on her clit, feeling her body clench around the glass. “You look delicious.” He pulled back and licked his lips. “You taste delicious.”
His hand moved lower to tease her ass, and slipped one finger in. She was still slick with lube from earlier, and her head fell back against the pillows as he explored her. She writhed against him and he slid a second finger in, stretching her wider.
Her eyes swept up to his face. “Gar…”
He angled the dildo just the way she liked it, rubbed against a place that had her writhing. She was a babbling mess now, her eyes dark and her body shaking. He pushed the dildo deep inside her and watched as her body was brought to the edge… and he pulled back. Raven screamed in frustration, but Gar ignored her curses. He set the dildo to the side and picked up the vibrator, putting it on its lowest setting and pressing it against her clit.
“What do you want from me…” She was tugging at her restraints again, and Gar clicked the vibrator up one setting. Her teeth sunk into her lower lip. “I will give you anything you want. Please… please let me come. I’m begging you.”
Ah. There were the magic words. Gar grabbed the dildo again and pushed it deep inside her, angling it again. Raven moaned as he leaned over her and pushed the vibrator to its highest setting. It was only seconds before she was coming, the vibrator hard against her clit and the dildo fucking her just how she liked it. He reached up and released her wrists, and Raven’s hand immediately wrapped tight around his cock, pumping him so quickly that he didn’t even have a chance to tell her to stop.
Fuck.
Throwing his head back, Gar roared into the quiet winter around them, his orgasm ripping through him like steel claws. He spilled his seed into the well of Raven’s stomach, thrusting against her soft skin as a myriad of curses fell from his lips. Damnit. She always did this to him - broke him into a thousand pieces and left him utterly helpless for her. His head fell to her shoulder and he gasped.
“Ow. Owowowow. Stop. Too much.”
Oh. Shit. Right. Gar pulled the vibrator and dildo away from her, setting them on the nightstand before collapsing into the sheets next to her. Raven reached for a handful of tissues and cleaned herself off before rolling over to look at him. He smiled and pulled her close to her chest, his now-human fingertips running up and down her spine. These moments of after were the best part - the quiet calm where they basked in each other’s pleasure. He’d be ready to go again in an hour, and his base instincts would take over, but Raven always took every solstice in stride. She had for years now.
Silence settled over them and he let his eyes drift close, hoping he could snag at least one more hour of sleep before the beast inside him was demanding to rut.
“Why don’t you come inside me?”
Gar’s eyes flew open and he stared at her, confused. “What?”
“I mean… we’re married now… and…” Raven chewed on her lower lip and shook her head, as if regretting what she had said to him. “Never mind. Go back to sleep.”
He couldn’t go back to sleep. Not after that question. Gar propped himself up and watched as she stared at the ceiling, obviously turning a thought over in her head. “Raven… if I come inside you, you will get pregnant. That’s… I mean, that’s the whole point of this stupid time. To mate. You know… to make… babies. When we make love any other time, we don’t have that concern.”
“Is it a concern?” Raven looked over at him, her pale hand resting on his verdant chest. She tangled her fingers in a thin smattering of chest hair and glanced up at him. There was a long, heavy silence, and she finally spoke. “I want a baby.”
He jerked. “What?”
“Forget it.” She rolled onto her other side, and he caught a flush working over her cheeks.
Gar grabbed her and wrapped his arms tight around her waist, drawing her back against his chest. His heart was skipping beats and he felt like he could quite pin down all of his thoughts. With him. She wanted a baby with him. Raven wiggled in his arms for a moment before sighing in defeat, leaning back into his warmth.
“We’ve been married for three years… I just… it’s been something I’ve been thinking. Maybe… maybe we should have a family of more than just you and me and our menagerie of hopeless foster fails.” She traced a thin scar along his forearm, and she looked over his shoulder at him. There was a long pause, and her expression softened. “You’d make a fantastic father.”
His heart swelled, and he tucked her head under his chin. “You’d make a pretty good mother.”
She snorted and elbowed him in the chest. “Shut up and go to sleep.”
“Mm…” Gar kissed the back of her neck. “So… would you want a boy or a girl?”
Raven shifted in his arms, pursing her lips. “You’re not honestly-”
“I want two of each, I think. I whole litter.” Gar pulled her even tighter against him, unable to keep the joy out of his voice. He was imagining it - their townhouse filled with laughter and pets and bad Saturday morning cartoons. His heart pressed against his ribs, and he buried his face in her hair. “I like it… I like the idea.”
“Gar…” Raven’s voice was soft, but there was a hint of longing in it. She pushed back against him. “Maybe let’s start with one?”
“Okay… one.” He kissed the back of her neck again, feeling himself grinning so hard it hurt his cheeks. “To start.”
