My Brain:

#so yeah shes The Dark Urge and Heyleth's kid #from an alt world where heyleth lost the battle and her mother ripped her way back to life through her soul #way earlier on during neverwinter times #and the result left heyleth a true half dragon which and also altered her alignment #she became chaotic evil #so naturally upon meeting a still chaotic evil dark urge the two hit it off #and a bouncing baby wacha was born #half dragonborn half half dragon #an abomination in itself really #wacha in bg3

Picking up where I left off…

Because I completely forgot to talk about the actual scene in mention! Hinamori’s arrival at the fake Karakura town is one of my favorite aihina scenes because it’s the moment Aizen realizes, as I stated in my original post, that he cannot cross the sea between himself and his former comrades and fellow companions.

One by one, both his companions and enemies are leaving him behind. His army is defeated by the same people he believes himself to be superior to. His former peers have all come together to take him down. The line has been drawn in the sand. There’s no going back, Aizen has no choice but to transcend. (He can’t seem to shake off this emptiness, no matter how far he climbs. No matter what challenge he overcomes. The echo grows louder.)

And to add insult to injury, what if Aizen himself did not sense Hinamori’s arrival before her reveal? What a slap in the face. He was the one who recognized her potential, recruited her, (bonded with her), trained her. She’s not supposed to live without him (because Aizen - the one who yearns for connection - could not live without her. That’s why he had to leave her, kill her, and she has the audacity to survive? To return stronger? She was supposed to die with him).

She can do what he can’t. She can overcome him. And that’s an affront that needs to be punished.

#his power is collaborative in nature. His zanpaktou is only as powerful as those who fill in the gaps #he can become what they want him to be if it serves his needs #he's empty. like the same god that disgusts him.#so he loses either way - he submits to an unworthy power or is the sole soul to ascend #(of course it doesn’t have to be this way but he’s too far gone. it’s also ironic that he trades his zanpaktou (his soul)#that relies on the imagination of others for a magic marble made up of the same unworthy souls he rejects)#either way he’s still made in their image. it’s cyclical #I can’t help but think of daenery’s “if I look back I am lost” because aizen has no past.#that’s the point. he’s rootless. there’s no beginning or end and that’s why I believe in the end he wanted to die #another lyric from Lingua Ignota’s Pennsylvania Furnace “me and the dog die together”#also I don’t believe we would have wanted to go back to SS I just think it’s at fake KT that aizen finally realizes how alone he is #and this climb that never ends #also why I believe bleach should have ended once he was defeated but 🤷‍♀️

okay... so I get why I was hesitating to watch soulmate (2023)

#beautiful film #like the cinematography and scenery was so incredibly lush with comfort and nostalgia #so many rich colours so many interesting shots and angles so many different + distinct sets/places #and yeah it just. yeah. it really was heartbreaking #I already knew the big twist so it didn't shock me but the film did leave me with a bit of a sad ache #just seeing the ebbs and flows of their friendship and the longing they both have for each other. the intrinsic and eternal string that #link them together forever more. was just so beautiful #as someone who values their friendships a lot it was so beautiful to see a film centering on the eternal nature of true friendship #and how true deep friendship can almost be soul binding in which you guys never truly leave each other no matter the pain or distance #how those old friendships stay with you forever and how those friends you'd always return to because a piece of you still resides in their #palms #the film did a wonderful job between flashbacks too and leaving things ambiguous at times #spoilers ahead!!!#but what was most saddening to me was the years and happiness lost due to their miscommunication and intense love for each other that #actually ended up making them not address their problems with each other and therefore have their friendship fall apart #like. if they had just communicated about the guy and didn't distance themselves from each other #and if miso hadn't left the hotel after the Busan trip and they had just had a conversation about the fight #like. so much of the conflict and resentment and pain and distance wouldn't have happened #they could have travelled together painted together spent their years together #if just the most minute things had been different if they had just used their love as reason to address their problems rather than run away #they could've had so much they could've had so many years together if they had just spoken to each other #and that is the most heartbreaking of all. that they could've had a life together if things had been different #and just seeing the transition from their innocent and freeing childhood + teenagehood into the conflicts hardships and growth of adulthood #is painful too #just that loss of youthful freedom love friendship dreams and entering into the harsh and difficult reality #when things are no longer always about sitting under the sun with your friend and watching the sea #yeah that was hard #salmaspeaks #films #soulmate (2023)

My apologies for being absent!

/cracks knuckles, but I'm in the midst of typing about fear and with it, hope to make it up to you guys a little. I don't remember the last time that I've been so motivated to write meta of any kind, but Kafka makes me never want to shut up, and honestly— I feel bad when I'm sitting in Discord, with someone's DMs open and I'm sitting on my hands to prevent myself from hypothesizing, because when I don't, it's twelve paragraphs at least. So here we go, let's take my hypothesizing to the dashboard.

Can I also just... say how much two instrumental tracks scream Kafka to me and I lose my mind? I need to stop losing my mind. But this character is just everything I've craved to write for much too long, her premise, dynamics, her goal, the references and symbolism, it's so delightful and thrilling and absolute chef's kiss.
