Femme Fatale Guide: Best Sleep Hygiene Habits & Tips For Better Sleep
Daytime Habits:
Stop drinking caffeine at least 8 hours before you want to go to sleep
Move daily: A 30-minute walk or a short pilates video is enough if that's all you can manage
Get some fresh air/natural light and/or supplement with vitamin D
Ensure you're getting adequate magnesium and vitamin B12 in your regular diet or through supplements
Nighttime Habits:
Tuck your phone in at its "bedtime": Leave your phone in the charger across the room. Out of sight, out of mind.
Have a physical book beside your bed to start reading at a certain time. Around 30-60 minutes before you actually want to go to bed. Find a book that puts you in a calm mood. A book that's too engaging will be counterproductive.
Have some "sleepytime" tea around 30 minutes before bed (Chamomile tea is a great choice. I love the Yogi Soothing Caramel Bedtime tea).
Limit the lights on for an hour or so before you want to go to bed. Only keep the light on near your bed if possible. Keep your curtains closed if necessary.
Practice deep breathing in bed: You can do a full 5-10 sleep meditation or just do a few sets of belly breaths (one hand on your chest and the other on your diaphragm or upper stomach)
Use meditation or a self-pleasure practice to relax enough to fall asleep.
To get on a proper sleep routine & fight insomnia:
Allow yourself one day to be exhausted, so you go to sleep "on time" and give yourself enough time to get (at least) around 6 hours of sleep. This helps your body "reset," at least for a few days.
When you close your eyes, picture one of your favorite memories and re-experience it without allowing other thoughts to enter your brain. This helps calm your mind, so you more easily drift off to sleep (I've been doing this for around 15-18 years and it's golden)
Have a journal or notebook with a pen by your bed: This allows you to write anything down that you forgot about or need to do, sudden inspiration that arises before you fall asleep, or a place to write out your feelings to help relax before going to sleep. It's better than having your phone and gives you no excuse to go pull it out.
Have a bottle of water by your bed, so you can have a few sips if you can't sleep from being (even a little) dehydrated.

Habits for 2024!
Alright so I need some damn discipline in my life, 2023 has truly been a rollercoaster and so has been my mental health. The first six months of 2023 were spent in being stressed cause I had a really important exam in April and then May to June I was pretty much sad cause I didn't get the score I needed and had to settle for some other college, which just sent me more into the victim mentality (not recommended at all) Then in July my first sem started and it affected me even more cause this college has nothing fun going on only lectures, seminars and workshops (tho i manifested a fun event which is happening in two months) and thennn November came and I had a little heartbreak situation which I am sort of moved on from but not entirely. To sum it all up 2023 wasn't that cool I was way too affected by the 3d and I got really disconnected from loa and i definitely don't wanna take this into 2024 so I'm going back to being myself who always knew that the 3d doesn't matter and was more connected to herself! And MY way of doing this is by affirming you can do any method or no method at all simply just live in imagination but for me affirming is THE method which helps me manifest ofcourse but also to keep my mental health in check so I'll be using affirmations and some other habits (non-loa related are added as well) listed below-
Sleep early and wake up early.
STUDYYY, study for atleast one hour each day no matter which subject your future self will really thank you bitch!
Affirm and persisttt. The 3d is neutral it's not bad it's not good it's simply neutral unless you assign meaning to it!
Journal. I have never journaled but I wanna try it this year and it's not loa related i just want to write down how my day was even if it's just one sentence.
Cook more and vlog it. I wanna learn cooking and i just started in August and i really like it. I wanna vlog it cause it's fun watching it afterwards plus the recipe stays with me.
Dress up! Even if it's just for running errands, dress up change the PJ's add some accessories and look cute.
Wear more accessories. I always liked wearing a lot of jewelry but I was in convent school and it was never allowed but I wanna get back into it now.
Track my menstrual cycle and learn more about it!
Alright ig I'm done but I might add some new habits if I remember any, you guys can also send any suggestions for it I'd love it!

I've lived in So Many shitty apartments where I was used to fending for myself for repairs, or maintenance, or repainting a mailbox, because the landlord I rented from wouldn't do it. I mean, I've lived on my own in shitty places since 1998; you get used to a certain level of rolling up your sleeves and DIY.
I'm living with my friends here though, in a community that is well-maintained, in a timely fashion. There's a head of condo board that lives Directly Next Door though, and a few weeks ago he said to me that he'd repaint our mailbox if my roommate (whose name is actually on the lease) agreed to it. Having seen HIS OWN mailbox that he painted, I was like "Ergh no. Can't let him touch this one." He spray-painted the BRICKS, behind the mailbox! It looks awful.
Today he was eyeing our mailbox, and it was a nice warm day, so I went out, feeling Maintain-y, and scraped all the loose paint off, sanded it down, and after covering the "No flyers please" sign in masking tape, and putting cardboard behind the mailbox to protect the bricks, sprayed it with primer. It looks Nice. :> Best, he didn't get his own spin on it.
Turns out I didn't need to do that, because the condo board is paying pros to come and do that soon to Everyone's. Oops.
Better use my energy to stick to my own projects. Habits need breaking sometimes. Lol.
Also, note to self to talk to roommates before I feel like doing something to the unit in any way, like painting, or fixing janky doors, or anything else. I HAVE TO REMEMBER THIS ONE.

I think we, as people on social media, need to take a different approach to looking at art.
I think a lot of us just see some art come across our feed, look at it briefly, like and reblog/retweet/share it, and then move on. And that's it. That's our experience of the art.
I've, unfortunately, done that for years. And what it's done is made art into something that is enjoyed just for a moment, and then put aside. For me as an artists, that behavior has made me want to create content constantly, because if I didn't, other people would get bored of me, since I wasn't providing them with something new to glance at. This is a hard habit to unlearn.
I have begun, slowly but surely, to take my time with art. To actually open up the image (or download it), and look at it for a while. To zoom in, and notice all the little details in the line art, the colors, the shading, etc. To take time to really, fully, appreciate the artwork, and all the time, effort, and skill that was put into it.
I love art so much more now. I appreciate it more. I feel more fulfilled looking at it and creating it. Noticing all the little beautiful details in a piece brings me joy. It also gives me new ideas to try with my own art.
So next time you see some art, stop. Slow down. Take a few minutes to really *look* at it. Download the image to view again later. Look at the way the artist drew this image, and truly appreciate what they have created.

Hey love! I'm 23 and feel so lost in life. It feels like I'm stuck in a place. Recently I've been having this strong inner urge to change something about myself... Like I just want to change myself physically idk how. Im working out and stuff but I feel I am still the same, no change. How do I tackle this inner urge to change? Also I have adhd and severe anxiety so even a little change scares me the most but at the same time I want to change!? Please guide. Thank you 🙏 ♥
Hi love! I recommend the following exercise/practice to help you set your goals/create an action plan that doesn't feel too intimidating, so you can gain momentum and get "unstuck":
List out your 1-3 main goals and reasons why you want to achieve them (these can be as deep or superficial as necessary to strike a chord with you. Whatever reason feels genuine and most truthful to the point where you feel your emotions staring back at you when writing it out on the page/document).
After listing out these main goals, for your physical appearance, I would try to categorize your action items into 4 buckets: nutrition, exercise, self-care/wellness, and personal style
Then, write out all of the changes you want to make in each of these areas to become your "ideal self." Get specific here – instead of saying "I want to work out more," write out how many workouts you want to do, what type (cardio, weights, pilates, etc.) for how long, and how many times per week you want to do these work outs
Next, get creative and have some fun listing out all of the ideas/workout videos/recipes/self-care ideas and activities, etc. you could do to fill in these "gaps" in your goal schedule for the week
Once you have several ideas for each goal, plug them into your days (e.g. I'll do this 15-minute YouTube workout on Tuesday, take this 1-hour long walk through the park on Thursday, make this cool healthy dinner on Friday, do a full-body exfoliation and moisturizing routine on Sunday, etc.)
Start slow and only incorporate one small change per day – maybe only 2-3 times a week for the first week or two. Consistency, not frequency, will ultimately help you win the race
Keep it short, creative, varied, and low-stakes are essential to task completion and goal-setting, IMO, if you have any type of anxiety/ADHD.
Hope this helps xx

I want to heal, therefore I will. It's the first step, one of the most important ones: to decide to heal and figure out how to do it as you go. This is a journey. I am not looking for a cure, I know very well some things in life can't be permanently fixed and life is never perfect. I am looking to live a comfortable cozy life in a way that is sustainable and achievable to me.

Initiating change
Needless to say, nobody knows for certain what the future holds, because it is a creation based on...
Find the Strength Overthinking is what creates confusion and fear. Change must be an act. Don’t think about how hard, or how strange, or how challenging it will be. But find the strength in your heart, not in your mind. I know from personal experience that one must initiate change without analyzing to death every scenario that could or could not happen. The intellectual mind has no chance of…

New Habits
Written for @domaystic! Day 16: sleeping habits
T; 1.1k Majun/Takgu
Majun and Takgu have finally been freed from that damn tether linking them to one another, and Majun is looking forward to finally having a night's sleep without Takgu plastered all over him. Really. It's only that by now it's familiar. . .
A new fandom! A new K-Drama fandom, for a K-Drama from 2010 with basically no fandom presence! >.> And perhaps a little less direct fluff than I often try for for my birthday story, but-
Bread, Love, and Dreams was, however, a delight (a delightfully melodramatic mess with really well done plot management over its 30 episodes) . . . but @mad-madam-m and I may have spent half or more of it going omfg you two need to bang out your issues with each other at these two. *ahem*
So naturally I wrote not that at all. XD
