Yesterday’s Protest March in Warsaw:
approximately 500,000 people by independent estimates. “Low attendance” by the official estimates 🙄😡
A message from ex-husband, who came to the March from Vienna:
“500,000 normal people around you! incredible and amazing feeling”

Hungarian-Americans march up Fifth Avenue on November 4, 1956 in what was called a “March of Mourning” for those dead in the failed revolt against the Soviet Union. Many carry signs, such as the one in foreground, “Communist murderers get out of Hungary.” The marchers are at 57th street, walking south on Fifth Avenue.

Anyone in London yesterday would've know to avoid Victoria Station because it was directly on the path of the protest march, but somehow Michael Gove, minister and Tory MP currently angling for the Home Secretary job, decided he just had to get a train from there just as the march was in full swing and made sure to bring his photographer with him and oh look he's now on the front page of the Daily Fail instead of all those right wing thugs attacking police at the Cenotaph.
They really are so transparent, and they don't care because their supporters swallow all their bullshit and ask for more.

Resistance Magic
January 24, 2024 In October 2023, I wrote this blog: "Calling the Fates to Hex Nazis" with a spell.
At the time, I wondered if this kind of resistance magic would be of any use. I have done this prayer and spell several times since then.
I have more hope now about the fight against facism in Germany, as more than 1 million people have taken their protest against facism and right wing extremism to the streets in several cities. And there will be more protest marches again this weekend.
There is also an online protest for people who cannot join the protest marches.
Of course, resistance magic is no substitute for protest marches and activism etc. But it can be added to strengthen these.

Police break up anti-imperialist protest, Washington DC: 1932 A protest took place near the Japanese Embassy at 2514 Massachusetts Ave. NW in Washington, D.C..
Police attacked the 30 demonstrators with clubs, fists and blackjacks while staff at the Japanese chancery watched from the roof and windows.
The protestors resisted and knocked down several of the police, including one who was hospitalized as a result of the confrontation. One of the demonstrators, Joan Hardy, was knocked unconscious during the fight.
When International Labor Defense attorney Bernard Ades went to seek their release at the Third Precinct station, Superintendent of the Police Pelham Glassford expelled him from the station.
Glassford had ordered the arrest of the demonstrators for parading without a permit, even though they were on the sidewalk and not blocking traffic. Some of the demonstrators were also charged with assault.
The Japanese army invaded Manchuria on the mainland in November 1931. Chinese forces resisted until February of 1932 when they were defeated. Guerilla warfare continued until the end of World War II in 1945. Reports and photos of Japanese bombing of civilians and shooting of unarmed survivors caused revulsion around the world at the expansion of the Japanese empire.
The Japanese invasion of Manchuria is regarded as the opening salvo in what became World War II.

...and in the middle of all this, Polish government dropped a new law that will allow the current politicians-in-control to make a complete review of "does this person have any connotations of having ever perhaps maybe cooperated with Russia" and then to ban such person from holding public office for 10 years.
Which is not sinister AT ALL, right. Considering general anti-russian feeling in our country. Apart from the fact, that it's aimed very specifically at our former Prime Minister, Donald Tusk, who has been previously, by the same government, accused of being a descendant of a Wehrmacht soldier.
Also, he has been the head of Council of Europe and in general a pain in PiS's ass, as a former leader and possibly strongest personality in the centrist party of Platforma Obywatelska.
So now they want to review him and then ban him for 10 years from any public office. Mind you, the review committee's rulings can't be appealed or taken into another court for review. They are final.
And people aren't getting it, because if you paint anything in anti-Russian colours, you can feed it to the general public without any resistance.
(this is part of why we had this huge honking march in Warsaw on Sunday - 500k people attended...)

Pro-Palestine Marches and the Stockholm Syndrome, London, UK
Why some people can't grasp the psychological corruption of Hamas terrorism.
When a child is deliberately broken like a horse (the archeotrauma*) contact with the surface of the trauma is experienced as an imminent threat of being murdered.
To help keep this overwhelming fear at bay, the child may start to idealise their parents by behaving in a way that doesn't cause the parents to react with their repressed violence (in itself, a corrupted archeotrauma).
It's a bit like, "Smile and the world smiles with you": be "good" and the parents will be "good", be "bad" and the merest whisper of the parents' violence will resonate within the child and cause the internal wound to surface.
It doesn't work particularly well in practice but it's the best survival strategy a child can come up with when there's no hope of physical escape.
Over time the behaviour becomes fixed and its implicit submissiveness is no longer recognised. it has, in effect, created a "blind spot", an inability to respond to, or recognise, carriers of the more extreme forms of psychological violence (mental as well as physical).
As a grown-up child, such a victim may transfer their allegiance to anyone with the same unnatural potential as their parents - it seems a "natural" thing to do. To Hamas, for example, and a culture that broke the terrorists as infants in order for years of ideological indoctrination to stick.
More conventionally, the Stockholm syndrome (or Stockholm effect) is described along the lines of, "A coping mechanism to an abusive situation. People develop positive feelings toward captors or abusers over time. This condition applies to situations including child abuse, relationship abuse and sex trafficking".
As far as the atrocities committed in Israel on the 7th of October 2023 are concerned, a Hamas terrorist can be created by breaking their spirit as an infant and then calling the resultant psychological wound a "god".
Years of ideological indoctrination add layers of repression until the compounded trauma becomes compacted and corrupted, ready to explode like an airbag in a car.
When this happens, the terrorist becomes a source of "anti-life" because there behaviour does not exist in the natural world (ie it is not a function of natural inheritance).
*The archeotrauma (alt. archaeotrauma) is the psychological wound human beings, horses, and other animals sustain when their spirit is broken. Very common in Dover, UK.

MARCH ON WASHINGTON FOR GAZA
1:00PM Saturday January 13th, 2024 @ The National Mall 1600 Constitution Ave. NW, Washington DC
Please wear a KN-95 mask, and wear layered nondescript clothing and COVER YOUR FACE, HAIR, AND ANY IDENTIFYING FEATURES. I have seen many people use keffiyehs for this. Dress for cold weather but know marching warms you up quickly, so dress in layers you can remove and carry without uncovering your face and hair. Ideally you should bring a backpack to carry food, water, first aid, ID, etc. It may be good to bring multiple or removable parts of your outfit if you plan on walking from your residence or car.
Tumblr media
If you bring a phone, turn off your Face/Touch ID, location services, and data.
Have your emergency contacts written on your body. Don’t record peoples faces. Stick with a group.
Bigotry & hatred will not be tolerated.
Even if you are unable to attend or are not USAmerican, please reblog and repost this to other social medias. You may have a follower or friend who can attend.
If you live within a couple of hours of DC, or even if you live further: talk to your local organizations! It is possible they may be able to organize transportation to this event. Most likely you will have to pay a fee, but it is likely going to be cheaper and safer than driving to DC and parking in their $40-$50/hour parking garages. Also look into Amtrak, Greyhound buses, or other means of transportation.
EDIT: fixed some info, also here is the HD graphic that includes the website

Okay, with the blackout happening tomorrow, I'm going to be harsh. Mutuals, if I see any of you post anything other than Palestine tomorrow, it's gonna be a block.
One day. Don't post/reblog anything unrelated for ONE DAY. Can you do that?
If not, then you don't care about Palestine. This blackout is for them, and it only works if a lot of people join. It'd REALLY work if everyone did.
Don't think that you won't make a difference. You will. But only if you participate.
March 2nd. Full blackout. Only post/reblog stuff about Palestine, or don't post at all.
We are so close to a ceasefire. Hopefully this will put it over the edge. If not, it will still get us closer and closer.
If some world-shattering news happens tomorrow during the blackout, SAVE AS A DRAFT. Reblog it the day after. I'm being so serious right now, breaking this will defeat the entire point.
Free Gaza, stand with Palestine.
March 2nd.
Feel free to reblog this if you plan on participating in the blackout, too. Reblogs are on.
EDIT: I'm realizing how many people do not know about this, so I'm gonna judge the block thing case by case. But yeah. Stand with Palestine.
