Hihi :) do you have. A favorite webcomic... or normal comic/graphic novel im curious

i had to think about it for a second but ouuuggghhhh i have so many favourite mangas............. Uzumaki is the first one that comes to mind. can't go wrong with Junji Ito's works. i also love the Splatoon manga so so much. i have a lot of physical copies of it!! i should read it again,,,,,,

there's also a kind of obscure (to me at least. i don't see a lot of people talk about it and most people i bring it up to don't know about it) manga i really like called Pumpkin Night :D! it's also a horror manga but wayyyy more gory than Junji Ito's stuff. it's really good. i like to read it every halloween

#the crops #the great giest #there's this one translation of it online that i read and it's so silly #but after a certain point it kinda deteriorates into just. not fitting the mood in the slightest /: #and i understand the translators had fun with the goofy dialogue in the chapters before that but it's so jarring that it makes- #reading it like rubbing sandpaper on your brain. it's just not funny anymore #plus after a certain point the story just gets. i dont want to say stupid. but it should've ended at a certain point but it didnt #and no hate toward the creator of Pumpkin Night. kudos to their dedication to continue their work #i just think the story kinda falls apart after a certain point and the translators seemed to catch onto that and didnt take translation- #as seriously as they did before. #shrug. still a good manga tho. lots of really good panels that i wanted to redraw at some point :3: props to the artist

Apparently little me loved writing stories so I’ve decided to share the stories I found in my old pre school journal. Even though I can’t really include the spelling mistakes (only for english words) the plots can be incredibly dumb sometimes as well so it’s still gonna be hilarious (maybe).

The first story is called “Stella the Little Witch”. There’s no date on the page but judging by the fact that the next entry is from the 20th of February 2012, the story must’ve been written somewhere around january/februray 2012 which means I was either 7 or 8 when I wrote this story.

“Stella the Little Witch”

Once upon a time there was a little town called Valpogia where the little witch Stella lived. Stella lived at Pumpkin St. 89. Stella looked forward to tomorrow because “tomorrow is Halowin” explained Stella to her mother Barbara. “What do you do on Halowin, Stella?”, asked Barbara. “Every child gets a bag and then they walk around the whole of Valpogia collecting candy, and when you’re back home you count the candy you’ve got”, explained Stella to her mother Barbara.

Then stella ran into her room and danced wildly around her room. Then suddenly she stopped. She didn’t think about what costume she’d wear. She ran downstairs and asked her mother what she should dress up as. “A vampire?”, asked Barbara. “Mama, I have an idea. I’m gonna dress up as an evil fairy with glowing fangs”, “I’ll sew your costume for you”, “yippee!”, shouted Stella, so loud that almost everyone heard her. Mother Barbara worked on the costume for almost the entire night.

On the next day Stella awoke at 1am and ran to her mother’s bedroom and tried to wake her up. “Wake up today is Halowin wake up!” “Okay, okay, I’m awake”, mumbled Barbara. “Mama you have to drive me to Rubina’s house. Oh and another thing, did you finish my costume?”, “Yes, I did. Do you like it?” “Super duper, it’s beautiful!”. And when the evening came and Stella and Rubina collected candy and counted the candy Stella was the happiest witch in all of Valpogia.

its been a while since i drew anything naruto related, but i stumbled upon an older drawing i had done a few years ago of konan so i thought id redraw it for fun this halloween season!

Day 18: What do your MC consider the most disgusting candy?

Besides the obviously disgusting candies Ida would be absolutely disgusted by pumpkin taste ones just because back then she was poisoned by Garreth's pumpkin beer potion.

Day 19, 22: Would your MC prefer to go apple picking or on a candy hayride? & How would your MC spend a harvest festival?

She will go wherever her friends invite her, but most likely she will not take an active part and will be more of an timid observer; an apple picking event will rather embarrass her 🤭

Day 21: What are your MC's favorite fall comfort foods?

As it was mentioned before, Ida's taste in food mostly depends on memories it gives her. So, probably the most favorite fall comfort food for her is charlotte with apples she used to bake with her little sister together at home.

Day 25: What fears do your MC consider silly?

Ida knows everything about fear because of elder brothers who used to tease and scare her sometines, not understanding why it could be harmful for her afterwards.

Growing up, they stopped being mischievous and stopped being nasty towards Ida. Even on the contrary, now they try to protect her as much as they are able, being muggles.

And since she has a little sister, too, she tries her best to be understanding and protective one.

That's why Ida wouldn't judge anyone for being scared of anything.

Day 26: What sorts of tricks would your MC pull on Halloween?

Ida wouldn't prank or trick anyone at the holiday not only because she doesn't want to harm anyone but also she would be too busy hiding from prankers herself 🥲

Day 29, 30: If your MC were Muggles, would they believe in ghosts? & Would your MC spend a night in a haunted house?

Ullson family is always somewhere near by mystery when it comes to their grand-generation. The grandfather's past, his mysterious disappearance, the strange things happening in their house afterwards with no explanation. The voices they hear at night, strange howling of the wind while windows are closed, the creak of stairs while everyone in bed... One day they decided their house is haunted.

So Ida would definitely believe in ghosts - just as general answer to her questions. She would believe that grandpa came back home but differently...

I was preparing the 31st Day of challenge then suddenly the idea came to my mind and now I'm redrawing it 😭 just you wait please...

You and Snape spent your final weeks together at Hogwarts down by the lake, skipping stones and watching the giant squid bask lazily in the vast water.

For the first time in a long time, Snape was relaxed, laughing at your jokes and smiling when you pointed out a particular flower he had told you about months ago.

You've been there for Snape through all of his trauma, especially with his bullies. You've stood up for him several times and gave James Potter a nice, hard punch in the nose a couple of times. Although it landed you in detention, it was worth it just to make Snape feel better.

You and Snape sat under the big tree by the lake, the baking June sun peering through the leaves. You had your head on Snape's shoulder, watching him doodle in his notebook.

"I'm going to miss you," you softly told Snape as you watched him draw and redraw James and Sirius being thrown off their brooms (Snape thought that this drawing was very funny).

"I'm going to miss you more," Snape said, smiling a little as he looked at you. He had fallen in with a bad crowd during his years at Hogwarts, and you just knew that this would be the last time you saw him again for a while.

"Don't forget to write me," you urgently reminded Snape as he finally finished his doodle. "I'll write you everyday."

"I won't, Y/N," Snape promised you, sighing happily as he looked out at the grounds, which were littered with students enjoying their last days of the term by laying in the grass or playing Gobstones.

"Just be safe, alright?' you told Snape knowingly, nudging his side gently. "If you ever get into any trouble, write me."

"I will," Snape mumbled, nudging your side back. "Don't worry so much about me."

You frowned at him; you couldn't help but worry. You had tried to persuade him to leave the group of people he had associated himself with, but he never listened. Your only consultation was to just hope that he'd be okay.

"Wanna go in for some iced pumpkin juice?" he asked you then, putting his notebook away in his schoolbag. "I heard there's some leftover from lunch."

You eagerly nodded and gathered your items, standing with Snape. You and him headed back up the sloping grass towards the castle doors, laughing joyfully at the sight of Sirius Black tripping his way down the stairs as he walked out to the grounds.

It's now been three years since you've last seen Snape, but you were seeing him in just a few hours from now.

You and Snape were both now 21 and both new teachers at Hogwarts; he'd be teaching Potions while you'd be teaching Muggle Studies.

You were meeting him in the staff room before the start of term feast and you were buzzing with excitement; you couldn't wait to reunite with him and hug him after so long.

You had felt very nostalgic the past three summers, thinking of Snape during June. You reminisced on your times together almost every day, and it was a painfully bittersweet feeling.

Before you knew it you were hurrying down the corridors of Hogwarts, trying to locate the staff room. You asked Nearly Headless Nick, one of the Hogwarts ghosts, who kindly showed you the way.

You quickly opened the door, but it was already being opened from the other side, and went walking straight into Snape's chest.

"Sev!" you cried, flinging your arms around him in an instant. He was much taller than you now, and you swayed on your tip toes as you embraced him.

"Hi," he softly said, widely smiling down at you as he hugged you back. "It's been so long since I've last seen you, Y/N."

"Tell me about it!" you said, wiping your watering eyes as you hugged him tighter, inhaling the freshness of his new robes. "My heart's been aching without you, Sev. Every June I've thought about you."

Snape looked at you tor a few moments before he burst into tears, startling you. He held you so firmly that you nearly fell over, securing yourself in his arms as he sobbed, "It's been horrible without you, Y/N. I've suffered through so much in our years apart which I can't tell you about now, but fuck- I was absolutely miserable without you."

"I'm here now, my prince, it's okay," you soothed him, stroking his thick hair. "You're never going to lose me again. I'm going to stick by you and continue to protect you from all of the bad things in this world."

Snape drew back to look at you, his skin gleaming with his tears under the candlelight in the room.

"Promise?" Snape sniffled as he wiped his eyes on the back of his sleeves.

"Always," you said, giving him the biggest hug possible and wiping his remaining tears for him, feeling happier than ever to be back with your best friend.

Regarding The Ancients (Part 2)

I think this screenshot says it all. In the last post I talked about the Ancients in general and there are a lot of great candidates for who they were in the Danny Phantom cast. After all, villains could count among them too because all Skulker said was that “...a group of powerful ancient ghosts banded together in a last ditch effort to defeat the King” which when you think about it doesn’t necessarily mean they were all ‘good’ ghosts. They probably had no choice but to become allies to take down someone who threatened the balance of both worlds...

Still, I like to think of most of them as the good guys so we’ll start with them.

Clockwork is obviously the most logical choice because not only is he already wearing a purple cloak that’s extremely similar to the Ancients in the flashback, but he also has statues of the Grim Reaper, aka Death, all over his tower along with lots of scythes. But it makes sense given how he’s probably old enough to have known Death personally. Bonus points if they were brothers since time and death go hand in hand.

Danny Phantom Randomness (The Way of the Ninja)

“Infinite Realms” is a really interesting episode despite being from Season 3 since it gave us a lot of cool concepts like Blood Blossoms, Frostbite & the Far Frozen, and the Infimap. And in the most recent chapter of my fanfic “Nevermore” I wanted to come up with a way to get Danny and the gang to Salem and figured why not use the Infimap since Vlad wasn’t there to steal it in this timeline? Still, this one scene where Danny was a Ninja always stood out to me for some reason and now I think I know why...

On the surface it looks like he staged this dramatic entrance but what if there was a bit more to it than that? What if the timing was a little off and Danny, Sam, and Tucker got there a bit earlier than Vlad and Danny actually trained with someone in the Ninja ways? Say, a guardian spirit he warned about Vlad trying to take over the kingdom?

To be fair, Danny’s a fast learner so picking up sword fighting probably wouldn’t take too long. And better yet, it would explain how Danny managed to blend in so well in this scene because I’d like to think that if Vlad didn’t already KNOW it was him, Danny learned how to mask his ghost signature Ninja style.

My #1 post of 2022

Once I got started on this, I couldn’t stop. Literally all I meant to do was make some line art for later out of a title card template I found to redraw from scratch for Halloween, but I got carried away while experimenting with some recolors as you can see...

I did redo Danny’s face since there were a lot of subtle differences between the concept art and the final version. Still, I’m sure you all know how much I love the Fright Knight so here’s another preemptive drawing since October is right around the corner!

Disclaimer, this is purely a work of fanart and Ray Leong gets credit for the original line art since they used to work for Butch. I don’t want to get in trouble or anything for using it so I won’t be sharing the line art template I made for this just in case, I will share a link to the original its based on though so they get proper credit!
