rewatching a “kid’s” film as an adult and realizing that it’s actually Very Good and enjoyable and smart and enthralling regardless of your age is one of my favourite forms of nostalgia. realizing a movie didn’t talk down to you when you were a kid is incredibly comforting, i think.

Lilo & Stitch:

Lilo & Stitch is a masterpiece, from start to finish. It has realistic characters, touching themes about found family and belonging, and not to mention beautiful watercolor backgrounds. My favorite scene has got to be at the end, when Stitch tells the Grand Councilwoman, "This is my family. I found it, all on my own. It's little, and broken, but still good. Yeah, still good." It never fails to make me tear up.

Autism levels catastrophic.

The soundtrack is amazing and the characters are great.
