You know when you read a book at just the right time and everything just clicks? That was this book for me. I’m at a loss for words right now and I want to just sit in all the feelings that this book brought with it.

I loved that this book was messy and didn’t shy away from all the scary and hard things that life has to offer. It was also filled with so much love and the space to find yourself. And Grace was just the character that I needed in this story. I loved that she was allowed to have an existential crisis (I felt that all the way to my bones). I loved that Grace was able to let herself sink as far as she needed to before finding the help she needed. And while I might not have agreed with her cutting all communications with her support system, I think she did what she needed to.

One of my other favorite things about this book was the friends/roommate! All of them were amazing and I loved that they just created their own little queer family. Also, Yuki is so cool! I would give anything to listen to a podcast like hers.

All in all, this was an amazing book. And it fully deserves every ounce of praise its gotten and so much more. Honey Girl is getting a five out of five stars from me.

A book series I personally recommend is the Isaac Taylor Mystery Series by Lashell Collins. It's a psychic mystery thriller series with a sweet, lightly spiced BWWM romance throughout. Their meetcute is *chef's kiss* it has an interesting cast of diverse characters and the writing is superb!

Hi, I think you’re referring to this post - that story is by @onyichii i. I don’t make comics currently. I just read a lot and illustrate on the side. You’re in luck I’ve been wanting to make a post about black & brown FL in webcomics. I’m always on the hunt for more webcomics with black leads! These stories can be found on Webtoon ( I know there are stories on tapas - I just don’t like their coin/ink system at all so I very rarely visit). Tim and Dick both love Doctor Who and bond over it a lot.

Dick is a Star Wars fan while Tim is a Star Trek fan. They butt heads about it occasionally.

Dick stans R2-D2. Tim stans Kirk (and maybe has a crush on him).

(…okay, Dick 100% had a crush on Leia. and dressed up as Han for Halloween once. or several times.)

Meanwhile, Jason’s vibing with Back to the Future and Lost in Space (and the book The Little Prince).

Dick loves the Avatar movies while Jason loves Avatar the Last Airbender. (Jason gives him shit a lot for them having stolen the name.)
