We all know that sometimes it can take awhile for our brain to get the right words to put together a well thought out reply. But! When is too long? When do you determine that a timeframe has been long enough? If the reply has reached (or surpassed) that timeframe you’re comfortable with, do you drop the thread without a word, approach your partner to ask if they’d like to close the thread, or do you simply stay silent and wait for the reply still?

friendly reminder that characters' chemistry comes from communication between the authors. you can't expect to gain the same chemistry as another author unless you communicate, and even then, it cannot be guaranteed. chemistry between characters is dynamic and cannot be expected to appear in the same way for every character.
