romanticize learning, not school
The education system (in the U.S. at least) sucks! School sucks!
High expectations get set on you and you exhaust yourself trying to achieve them
Often, it promotes unhealthy competition and causes you to compare yourself to other students, even though everyone has different skill sets and circumstances
Being neurodivergent makes it HELL
School doesn't DESERVE to be romanticized. Burnout sucks. You're not going "above and beyond," you're trying to push yourself into unbreathable altitudes.
Rather, consider romanticizing learning:
Researching because gaining knowledge is fun, you like how it feels to understand the world around you
Teaching because you want to spread that knowledge to others
Finding your own engaging methods
Giving yourself control. Learning because you want to.

^^^ possibly insufficiently educated
#the pride the hubris of believing you can do better than innovation and nature by playing god and not in the fun way#the lust it's being used for in so many awful cases#the sloth the way its encouraging everyone to check original sources less before believing anything. Also to not take time to develop skill#the greed its being used for profit without consideration for ethics or fair labour#gluttony. we always have to be faster. shinier. better. no matter if it ends up being less convenient or wonky#the wrath it sows in between people creating more differences to be frustrated over. more hatred#the envy how it takes and takes. always trying to be as clever as the best humans. as beautiful as a real forest or sunset.#do you think the ai wants itself#if this were a scifi movie would we be the bad guys#but this is not a movie and the ai cannot love us. so we cannot love it. and there's that#my post#personal stuff#thinking aloud just silly yapping n jazz 没啥事做就这样咯~#( ̄▽ ̄)~*#when i was in primary school our textbooks for chinese had short stories and articles to learn about#there was a fictional scifi oneshot about a family in the future going to the zoo#the scifi zoo trip was going great until the zoo's systems went offline for a moment#and it was revealed that all the animals roaming in their enclosures were holograms#the real ones went extinct ages ago#when the computers came back online the holograms returned and there they were#honestly at first I thought it was a bit exaggerating#but I still think about it once in a while

Are you a mineralologist or some other discipline of geology? Or are you just the most knowledgeable amateur ever? I'm an amateur geomorphologist, but I don't know as much about landforms as you do about minerals ❤️
No, I am just a hobbyist!

Point to remember :))
It doesn't matter if someone you know has completed the whole material twice or thrice, what matters is how much of it you actually remember.
Sadly, our education system does not test how much we know, it only tests how many of the questions we can answer. So, the content you put in your answers matters more than what you know.
So, you're doing good, just don't stop and focus on your own progress. :)

i hate the idea/trope that poor kids who do well in school don’t need any support when it comes to college, or that they all get full-ride scholarships. i don’t do well in school now that i’m in uni but i was a straight-A student throughout all of middle & high school and i got 1 (one) scholarship for $500/semester, which is less than 5% of my tuition. i didn’t have the opportunities or knowledge a lot of the other wealthier kids had, whose parents and grandparents and siblings had gone to college too. like we don’t all end up getting exactly the help we need, and i know the poor kids who weren’t straight-A students had an even harder time getting into college, if they did at all. it’s rough out here for all of us. the only sure-fire way a kid could get guaranteed financial assistance was if they had knowledge of the system and the time and money to pursue them. it sucks

LMS covers practically every one of the significant business sectors like schools, instructive establishments, corporate, clinical industry, and so on. Myclassboard the best online learning management system becomes convenient in recognizing the correspondence hole between the educator and the student by actually taking a look at every individual's advancement on tests and evaluations.
LMS is intended to assist a person with creating, oversee and give online courses and projects to learn. It gives a stage to the understudies and educators to master and feature their abilities any place and at whatever point they need according to their comfort.

How Prevent Gifted Kid Burnout From a Gifted Silly whose Fire is still Blazing with Rage
1. EVERYTHING IS STUPID.
School is stupid, parents with unrealistically high expectations of you are stupid, teachers who overwork you are stupid.
You don't need their approval. You don't need to impress authority to have worth.
You don't need to be perfect, especially not in a broken system.
Test scores aren't a measure of intelligence. You are smart, even if the material was difficult to grasp.
You're not "wasting your potential" if you decide to pursue a career you love. Create art, write music, perform, you're contributing to the beauty of the world. There's more value in that than most people see.
You're not "wasting your potential" if you're an adult who isn't busting their butt in college or a fancy job. The economy is fucked right now, and being an adult is hard. You're doing your best.
And sometimes, you can't be at your best all the time, but you're trying, and that's all that matters.
2. Don't let school ruin a passion for learning.
Just learn. Learn and love learning. Learn without school holding you down. Find your passions, and run after them. Pursue knowledge because it's fucking fun.
Research something you care about for fun, challenge yourself to learn how to complete that math problem, learn, not because you feel like you have to, but because you want to.
Never let school make you lose a love for learning.
3. They explain it more effectively than I can lol
I made a video game metaphor but, when I was finding the video that made me realize this I read another video game metaphor that explained it better, "So basically, as a gifted kid, I skipped the tutorial because it felt too easy. Then the actual game threw curveballs at me" (adorablehoe, 2nd top comment).

The "American schools don't teach us this!" excuse is bad for a whole host of reasons, but one I often think about is that "the American public school system" isn't a very meaningful term in this context. Curricula and standards vary widely by location. I attended high school in a city that prides itself on "progressivism," and while that certainly didn't preclude my history courses from being chock-full of imperialist propaganda, I do get the sense that they were at least more... comprehensive, than those of people I know who grew up in more conservative (often rural) areas. It's also worth noting that schools are funded by property taxes, creating a fantastically uneven distribution of resources even between different schools in the same municipality.
Anyways, obviously there are myriad problems with the institution of education in America as a whole, but I can't believe that every single person using this excuse went to The Worst, Poorest, Most Conservative School In The Nation. It's OK to admit you weren't paying attention when you were 14.

in the same way that creating and enjoying art is part of the human condition i believe so is the desire to learn. lots of people say they don’t like learning but really they just don’t like the way school presented learning to them. when the avenue of learning shifts from multiple-choice tests and fluorescent lights to curiosity, discovery, and wonder, the act of learning something new can become almost spiritual—it imbues a connection to other people, an appreciation for a long history of other people learning so we could too.
i think this is most evident in the sheer popularity of video essays. sure, you could get a LinkedIn Learning account and watch a simple course on a subject, but what if someone was so passionate about theme parks they made an insanely engaging, well-edited, well-written one hour and forty minute video on queueing theory? if you pitched it as just a documentary on queueing theory, very few people would be interested. but it’s the framing and delivery that matters.

as a kid in utah, i remember really clearly that touch typing was a thing schools started teaching you as early as second grade, but my friends in arizona just. didn't ever learn and some of them are now teaching themselves to as adults. so now im kind of curious...
(It doesn't matter if their lessons actually stuck for you, I'm just curious if they even tried lol. feel free to also add in tags when they started teaching you and/or what general area of the country you live if you're comfortable!)
