I think some fans hate on Star Butterfly way to much. You have to remember that she wasn't the only one who thought destroying all the magic was their best option, queen Eclipsa and queen Moon were also in on the decision and even helped execute it with the spirits of the past queens agreeing as well. Also she didn't commit "mass genocide" all the monsters were perfectly fine except the magical high commission and Glossaryck but (if I'm remembering correctly) they were prepared to make that sacrifice. Also she didn't even think she was ever going to see Marco again, she was prepared to make that sacrifice as well. This was a lot of responsibility for a 15 year old. And some fans act like she was more selfish than Mabel Pines from Gravity Falls which I don't agree with, I don't hate Mabel either but there were multiple times she put her interests over others, especially Dipper, Grunkel Stan, and her friends. Compared to Star's one time where she had to make a very serious decision that the other adults in her life also agreed on.

Festivia my beloved you deserved better writing.

I would say I want a show on Festivia and her rise to the throne. I would say I want them to focus on the political consequences Festivia would have to bare due to Eclipsa's actions. I would say I want to see how the infamous party queen not only housed her entire kingdom but also gained their trust during a time the kingdom would be against the Butterflys. I would say I want to see Grunkle Justhin's influence on the young Festivia and how it mixes or contradicts with the Magical Commissions. I would say I want to see potential with Festivia and light magic. I would say all of that but I don't trust the writers not to screw Festivia over again.
