-yippee finally, I’ve been putting off posting this but with the ethubs win and finally having 100 followers now seems like a good time

-ok design notes now

-Jimmy is a canary guy, I saw his third life outfit interpreted as a sweater and liked it, he’s got coal stains on his wings hehe. Also in the double life panel he got antennae and the weird freckle things on his arms. His antennae are meant to be like Pearl’s bc siblings

-Scott’s a starborn! So the things floating around him are meant to be stars! Usually his design has longer hair but I decided he gets shorter hair for third life and it grows out through the series

-Mumbo moth guy my favourite headcanon for him ever. He’s got a feather from Gri and you can’t see his hands here but he does have a ring, which I tend to keep throughout his design because I miss them, Martyn does too but normally it’s around his neck

-no many notes on Martyn, Dogwarts banner headband heh

-Tango!! Many thoughts on him, kept his mechanical arm from create. He’s got Phoenix wings and I forgot them here but usually he has blaze rods floating a round him, like Scott. I’ve also decided blazes get antennae

-Etho’s got flowers from Bdubs in his hair, I love them, they cause me so much pain. He’s also got black pained nails

-Bdubs moth guy, no notes really, his hair is in a ponytail but you can’t see it

-ougfh desert guys

-They both have their wings around earth other!

-No notes on Scar, he also grows his hair out gradually, it’s just starts out longer then Scott’s

-Usually Grian has eight wings total but he doesn’t get them for the life series, not really for any reason, just a show of power ig. He’s got the poppies and lilacs in his hair and also he has talons, very cool. I have zero consistency on my third life design for him

Reviewing New Year Sale Outfits in Twisted Wonderland

In Japan, New Year's Day (お正月, or "Oshogatsu") is the biggest holiday of the year, and it is also my favorite. That being said, the TWST artists never disappoint when it comes to the art for this event, so let's review all of the cards!

Spoiler warning for upcoming ENG and JP sever event cards, including some Groovy art!

Round 1: 2021-2022

Kalim Al-Asim (SSR)

Look at him, he's so festive and cheerful

This Kalim, as well as Deuce's SR, have a special place in my heart. I started playing TWST the summer it came out, but I wasn't a "serious" player until around New Year. Kalim and Deuce were my first "duo magic" pair, and I love their interactions in the story as well.

I love his headband ribbon and how it matches his obi. The sparkly hakama also suits him. I'm excited to see Jamil's version of this outfit as well, but we all know it'll be a very long time until Jamil volunteers to work retail during the peak season.

12/10 he's so cute

Deuce Spade (SR)

I was surprised that this was just an SR, and that you could get him by finishing the event story. His outfit is so detailed!

I chose his Groovy art so you could see that he's wearing sneakers with his outfit, which I found funny. Cater is wearing similar shoes in his own SR, so it must be part of the Heartslabyul New Year attire. It still feels very in-character for Deuce.

The silhouette of his outfit is interesting. His jacket is short like a suit jacket, but has the sleeves of a haori. There are lots of elements of his dorm uniform, like the pins and sash around his waist.

Not only does he look awesome, but he chose to work during the New Year's Sale to buy a present for his mother.

12/10 very cool and wholesome

Round 2: 2022-2023

Ruggie Bucchi (SSR)

HIS HAIR!!!

Aside from Vargas Camp and his birthday cards, Ruggie doesn't have a lot of SSRs, so I'm happy for him. I look forward to getting him in the English server soon.

I love how Ruggie seems to have picked up a lot of merchandise from around the store. Aside from a fan, which all the boys are using as their "weapons" for battles, he has a little koi bag, which I love so much (I have a similar one). The little toy he's holding is called a den-den daiko (でんでん太鼓), which is popular for young children.

11/10 congrats on getting the job, Ruggie!

Cater Diamond (SR)

I chose to show his un-Groovy art, because it's easier to see his outfit.

His clothes are similar to Deuce's, except that his "vest" is red, and he is wearing a button-down shirt underneath. The mix of Japanese and Western influences reminds me of Taisho-era clothing. He looks like Kazushi Tatsuishi in the anime version of My Happy Marriage, which also happens to be set in the Taisho Era.

It's hard to see in this picture, but he has a hairpin in his hair!

10/10 he slays

Sebek Zigvolt (SSR)

He looks so dramatic with his gloves and fur collar, but are we surprised? He's a Diasomnia student, after all. I wish they had given him a different hat, though, because it looks almost identical to his dorm uniform.

This one makes me laugh, because he poses like my dad. Not seen in this image is Sebby's neon-green geta, which I think my dad would love (he likes having shoes in unusual colors).

10/10 who needs fireworks on New Year's Eve when you have Sebby?

Vil Schoenheit (SR)

He stole the show.

At first glance, his outfit may bear too heavy a resemblance to the regular Pomefiore uniforms, since they're already inspired by kimono.

With his fascinator hat, netted gloves, and black nail polish, though, Vil adds a sense of mystery and intrigue to his outfit. He looks like he is playing the role of a Taisho-era socialite who poisoned their lover and is now actively avoiding the police.

Either that, or he got divorced from Rook. After all, it looks like he is wearing a furisode (a type of kimono meant for single women) rather than a tomesode (worn by married women), like in his dorm uniform.

11/10. The storytelling potential is limitless.

Round 3: 2023-2024

Trey Clover (SSR)

I love his scarf and hat. His coat looks longer than Deuce's and Cater's, and more like a haori. Overall, it looks like a cozy combination.

Like Cater, he is also wearing a button-down shirt under his kimono, and his vest is green. Heartslabyul is the only dorm that gets a character in this event every year, so it's nice to see that the outfits are personalized for each character.

He looks like he could be someone's uncle, but you know for sure that he'd spoil his nieces and nephews.

10/10 very classy, if he was working at the store and I came to visit, I'd trust him.

Ortho Shroud (SR)

ADORABLE.

Something I've always found interesting about Ignihyde clothing is their use of sharp shapes and geometric patterns, especially in Ortho's case. I wonder how Idia's version of this outfit would look.

Ortho and Idia must've had so much fun creating this outfit together!

Infinity/10 if Ortho were trying to sell me anything, I'd buy it, regardless of whether I actually need it.

Rook Hunt (SSR)

He's wearing RED EYELINER!

His outfit is quite different from Vil's. While Vil is wearing a furisode, which is traditionally worn by women, Rook's outfit seems to have a more traditionally masculine silhouette (of course, this is just my interpretation). This probably means that Epel will get to wear an outfit similar to Rook's next time as well.

The peacock feathers on his red hat is also a nice touch.

His pose and expression remind me of Wen Kexing from the C-drama Word of Honor. They also have similar personalities.

10/10, he looks like he just stepped out of a period drama. I look forward to seeing the fanarts of him with Vil.

Jade Leech (SR)

Jade's card has to be my favorite from this year's lineup. I just love how they translated Octavinelle's suits into kimono, while keeping details such as the purple bow tie.

I'm obsessed with his haori--it looks fluffy. I'd like to buy five.

His pose is so...

Like Trey, he looks like someone's uncle (it must be the fedora). However, unlike Trey, he looks like someone's uncle who may or may not be part of the Yakuza. Instead of giving you money on New Year, you owe HIM.

He also looks like he goes door to door selling products, and is about to sell me what he guarantees is a genuine Toshiba toaster oven and absolutely not an overpriced knockoff that will short-circuit and cause my entire neighborhood to lose electricity.

11/10 I will buy that toaster oven anyway.

Julie’s Tunic Outfit, Julie’s Summer Skirt Set, Julie’s Mix Print Maxi Dress, and Julie’s Peasant Top Outfit are all going for the hippie thing and miss the mark of the 70s pretty hard. And, unsurprisingly, all but the summer skirt set are BeForever outfits, so of course they’re inaccurate fucking atrocities.

I actually really like the bottom of her tunic outfit. Loud pants were a TERRIFIC part of 70s fashion. The platform clogs look extremely weird on a doll, but the spirit is there. What I WISH they’d done is give her a color-coordinated floral blouse with an huge-ass collar to go with the pants. That would be fantastic.

The summer skirt set again really nails it with the skirt but misses pretty hard with the top, sandals, and headband.

I would love an ugly sweater vest to go with that skirt.

Her peasant top ensemble is straight 2001. Srsly I remember having a top just like that in middle school, complete with the denim miniskirt. Love the shoes on that outfit, the skirt is perfectly 70s, but the top is wrong. While the 70s *did* have plenty of folk-inspired fashion and peasant-y stuff, it was *different*. The clothes were much more structured and the overall look was much *tidier* than the chaotic hippie rags of the 60s.

Last night I was lying in bed and scrolling through loads of old 2013, girly aesthetic pins and pictures on Pinterest. It really got me thinking about how much I love the loved the girly vibe and aesthetic back when I was just 9 😭. 1. Do I need a reference to draw this character?

2. Are they fun to draw?

Some parts are fun = +0.5

Not at all = 0

3. Do I want to draw them often?

ALL THE TIME = +1

4. Reita Toritsuka (1.75/4)

Sorry tori. I need a reference for his hair pretty much everytime I draw him, which to be fair is so far like 4 times in total. Honestly I have a love-hate relationship with his headband because on the one hand, it's kinda iconic, on the other it's fucking horrendous I'm sorry.

Moving on from the hair, the most fun I have with drawing him would be his uniform (I like the rosary beads and Geta) and his face since he's an expressive character so I get to do a lot of fun stuff with that ( this technically does not count since it's not a part of the design but his points are already kinda low, I felt generous).

Lastly, no, I don't really have many "creative" ideas with him, I had maybe 3 but I never really felt passionate enough to finish them I'm sorry.

2. Mikoto Aiura (2/4)

This feels way too low but I can't really break the rules.

I do need to use references to draw her everytime I do ( which I think is...1 time? That is criminally low what the fuck am I doing) mainly due to her hair, speaking of which, I LOVE HER HAIR I LOVE HER NAILS I LOVE HER EYES I LOVE HER!!!! She is so fun to draw and it's so fucking nice to have a character with some fucking MELANIN OMG HER SKIN I AJDBDJ SHADING TANNED/DARK SKIN IS SO FUN WHY DONT I DO IT MORE OFTEN. This doesn't count since it's supposed to be about their canon design but there are so many outfits you can put her in it's crazy!!! I think it's mainly because she's kinda the only one with an aesthetic idk.

I WANNA DRAW HER ALL THE TIME I JUST DONT FOR SOME REASON WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!??? Off topic I do not draw any of the female characters that often even though I regularly lose my mind thinking about them what's up with that?

Do I get to be creative with her? Not really but that's not her fault that's on me, she's perf I'm just uncreative that's all.

So sadly this is her rank. ATM anyway I'll draw her so often after this trust.

2. Saiki Kusuo (2/4)

He scored 0.5 on everything... How!??? Last I checked he is not Satoru Hiroshi.

Main reason I need a reference is due to the hair which for the most part is a bunch of zig zags and so I don't need it that often.

He is fun to draw, mainly his eyes they are very pretty. I do want to draw him often, I doodle him a lot. I think it's the limiters and glasses. I don't have to worry about him looking accurate cuz if you throw the limiters and glasses on it immediately looks like saiki so Im not that scared about drawing him.

Fun fact a lot of times when I'm drawing him he ends up looking like Kuboyasu. Until I put limiters on. Then all of a sudden it's saiki! Amazing! Chouno Uryoku who?

I guess I'm somewhat creative with him? I have a few ideas laying around, one or two animatics, maybe a fic and a couple crossover fanart ideas. Dunno if I'll ever get around to doing it though.

1. Akechi Touma (3/4)

I SO BADLY WANNA GIVE HIM A 4/4 MAN.

No I do not need a reference I drew him once and then his hair and face were ingrained into my long term memory for eternity in fact i remember it so well I subconsciously gave it to an OC.

Is he fun to draw? FUCK YEAH HE IS. Hair was the problem for all the other characters but not this one, no sir! because THIS MOTHERFUCKER HAS THE HAIR THAT GIVES ME GENDER EUPHORIA. It was my first 'boy' hair cut and I love how androgynous it made me look so looking at him gives me pure joy. And his eyes GOD I LOVE HIS BIG PURPLE EYES SJDIEBD.

I used to want to draw him all the time but I've drawn him too frequently so I need to take a small (miniscule really) break so I can continue liking it. Maybe that'll give me time to draw more Aiura. Anyways I gave him 0.75 on that part but that's entirely my fault for over drawing him. He did no wrong I take the blame.

Can I be creative with him? No not really since just drawing him covered in blood and/or eating sweets does not count as creative in this criteria. But I do have many ideas of just putting him in other universes and meeting my other favs and then the two of them ramble about an interest of choice and are just get to talk talk talk and talk I love them I love their yapping onjdhdiehd and I have a couple of animatic ideas I may never finish. GOD I LOVE HIM SO MUCH HE HAS A 4/4 IN MY HEART.

Oh god it's 1:22 am I should finish this homework.

Touka/Yoriko

Okay this isn't fanfiction (yet) but just little thoughts on their day to day lives :)

Even once Yoriko officially knows Touka is a ghoul and they're dating, Touka still goes to restaurants (not Anteiku Café) and will feed Yoriko food and buy her as much food as she wants

Touka makes Yoriko coffee every morning before they leave for work

TOUKA AND YORIKO SWAPPING CLOTHES AND SKIRTS

Yoriko incorporating cute rabbit patches or rabbit designs into her outfits

TOUKA AND YORIKO GETTING THEIR NAILS DONE TOGETHER (also them teaching Kaneki and Hide how to paint their nails)

This one especially hits hard but at home, Touka eventually becomes comfortable enough to eat in front of Yoriko and so they start having dinner together :( (this is like. WAY in the future.)

At their wedding (yes they get married because I say so) they wear opposite colour schemes. Touka's dress is black with silver linings and a purple lace while Yoriko has a more traditional white wedding dress

When they first start dating, Yoriko not-so-secretly loops pinkies with Touka or will 'trip' so Touka will hold her hand or hold onto her. Touka knows what's happening but decides to embrace it anyways and only calls Yoriko out on it once they're married

Since Touka can't eat human food, most of their dates consist of them staying in watching movies and falling asleep on the couch together. Yoriko LOVES running her hand through Touka's hair and uses it to reassure her whenever Touka might become anxious about Yoriko leaving or PTSD strikes

Touka trains Yoriko for battle in case anything similar happens to them like what happened to Nishiki and Kimi (although Tsukiyama would be hunted for sport if he ever tried anything like that again)

Okay I know by anime law none of the characters dye their hair BUT Yoriko dyeing Touka's hair and rebleaching it (in the same breath, Touka buying Yoriko cute headbands, head scarfs, hair pins, etc. and doing her hair before work)

Touka and Yoriko having lazy days where they just lay in bed reading to each other :(

Anyways I'm insane and I love them more than life itself! If anyone and I mean ANYONE says I made Touka 'too feminine' or 'she wouldn't wear a dress blah blah blah,' I will ignore your incorrect opinion and bite your ankles. Clothing & Wearing Magic – Part 1

Something common within the witch community is to read the advice to enchant necklaces and rings for various purposes, and although it is also common to read about putting sigils hidden in clothes or the soles of shoes, there is much more cloth to cut regarding the subject. So I will classify it in several parts. Remember that it is only indicative, examples may be missing and there are a thousand enchantments that could be better, but it is only to give an idea.

Part 1: Location.

Different parts of the body have different biological functions, and while a charm on the hand or foot (for luck, for example) can have similar results, checking “where” it is implemented is important to maximize its potential when resort to correspondence. When several things correspond to the same end, they are potentiated, add their skills, which gives more lasting, strong and effective results. That is why I have divided the location based on the different parts of the body.

Headgear: Hats, earings, glasses, sunglasses, scarves, headphones, masks, etc. These elements tend to be linked to primary sensory characteristics and intelligence, it can be said that the head is dominated by the Air element, so what reigns here are the abilities to see/hear/smell/speak, eloquence, ability to talk, how the brain works in social mode. So any enchantment intended to enhance (or nullify) these abilities will benefit if applied to a head outfit, as well as strengthen Clairsentience. It also includes your own hair, hairstyle and hair color, which makes it more versatile.

Hats, beanies, veils, tiaras, headbands, hair clips, etc: By covering the head they function more as protectors, a natural barrier to energy. Since the top usually has the most "pure" energy, people who are sensitive to energy changes (or energy vampires) may benefit from enchanting hats. It can also serve to strengthen Claircognizance. Above all, it can help with charms dedicated to the brain, social anxiety, mental illness, etc. (pls mundane before magic okay baby? Love you).

Earings, ear piercings, headphones, hearing aid, cochlear implant: Ear charms. Hear truths, ignore lies, ignore gossip, hear dangers. It can benefit to strengthen Clairaudience.

Eyeglasses, sunglasses, eyebrow piercing, contact lenses, prosthetic eyes: Eye Charms. See the truth, not be affected by glam spells, barriers to spells and energies, focus, strengthen Clairvoyance.

Masks, scarves, mouth/tongue/nose piercing, brackets, necklaces, tracheostomy tube: It can help to verbalize our ideas, control stuttering, anxiety to speak, to say what should be said, in addition to strengthening Clairalience and Clairgustance.

Hand elements: Bracelets, watch, rings, nail color/design, wristbands, gloves. The hands are givers and takers of energy, you literally manipulate energy all day long, so the spells here can focus on that manipulation. They are the most common to enchant for their versatility and ease of exchange.

Torso Elements: The torso carries the center of our energy (and organs), so it is usually the area that requires the least protection (spiritually speaking, it is dominated by the four elements, but mainly Earth and Fire), since it carries accumulated energy, which is difficult to affect. The organs, the amount of "life" (biological activity, electricity, blood), accumulations of bones and organic material (organs, food, fluids), make it the defensive point of the body. Even so, it can be benefited by spells depending on the clothes.

Underwear/ binders/ necklaces/ medical equipment such as CPAP, colostomy bag, etc: They are linked to what is closest to the body, therefore, they can be enchanted for everything linked to internal desires, fears and, for medical equipment, to improve health (enchanting equipment can also help them work better, last longer in optimal condition, reduce symptoms and so on, but remember, be careful, pls).

Outerwear such as hoodies, jackets, poncho, coats or whatever you are wearing as a top layer: Being in direct contact with the outside world, you can benefit from enchanting it with protection, or spells for bravery, courage, strength.

Leg Elements: Pants, belts, canes, walkers, wheelchair, skirts, orthopedic legs. Ruled mainly by the Earth element, it can help to strengthen mobility, agility, speed, dexterity spells, not to move from your place, to remain firm.

Foot Elements: Shoes, slippers, orthopedic shoes, ankle bracelet. As with the legs, the feet focus on mobility, but they are also the ones that transport you through different energy spaces, they are the ones that can most easily receive the influence of the energy of the place, so it can be beneficial to add enchantments of protection. Socks are usually responsible for collecting odors, and due to their "nature" of being easily replaceable, it is not wrong to think that enchanting them can also help absorb bad energy, which will go down the drain when washed.

time to do some half analysis, half memeing on the eurovision finalists costuming

not my favourite look, its very muted and a lot of the cut-outs feel unnecessary, that being said, i loved the thick stitching on the bottom of the bra, the power of the nails literally carved from stone, and the sleeve elements covering the hand tattoos, overall some really great ideas but they dont give any cohesive vibe and feel underwhelming for the spectacle expected rom eurovision outfits.

this man and his performance is unhinged. the costuming reflects that perfectly, we got spiked collars on them, reminiscent of a rabid dog or a club goer, the backup dancers have cutouts and additions to the outfits whch seem erratic, chaotic, and best of all, serve no purpose whatsoever. the spikes on his jeans add to the superfluousness of it all and add a level of consistency in the design. we have chaos, we have vitality, we have the ridiculousness of it all. and this isnt even talking about the power in this mans not-shirt like what is he doing? i love it 10/10 no notes king.

genderbend: 2d: 6 ft tall woman with small chest. she likes to keep her hair as a pixie cut. is horrible with make-up so, just as her mail counterpart has murdoc paint his nails, she has murdoc apply her makeup whenever she wants to wear it. her clothes style is sun dresses for casual as well as just a t-shirt and jeans. murdoc: tiny woman, like not even hitting 5 ft here. also has a small chest, much to her disappointment (she goes on about how she will get breast implants, but never actually goes through with it. noodle tells her to shut up whenever she goes on about it). her hair is long and messy. possibly to her back long, but that's because she doesn't really do any maintenance on it. when it's shower day the rest of the band members get after her for murdoc leaving her hair in the drain. her clothes style is business suits. russel: semi-tall chunky woman with a chest that matches her figure. just like her male counterpart she keeps her head shaved. she wears minimal makeup, but when going to afterparties will put some color to her face. her fashion is all about the dresses. the more they fan out when she twirls the better. if left on her own she will clear out torrid.

noodle: average sized male. he does not conform to gender norms and will wear whatever he wants and if anybody says anything he punches them in the stomach. his go-to fashion is anything comfortable, but also stylish. his body is quite muscular because he works out and also is the main one to handle the demons that seem to follow them.

2-D: Wears graphic tees and baggy jeans for the longest time. Shes quite tall and thin, not very much curve at all, she keeps her hair just long enough to put in a small ponytail that sticks out at the bottom. Later in life she dolls up a bit, taking a liking to pearls and eyeliner and nail polish and just! fancy stuff in general. But she still likes baggy jackets and sneakers and stuff like that. She can often be seen pairing some movie poster tee with a feather boa and high waisted miniskirt

Murdoc: has got a beer gut, and isnt ashamed of it. shes very confident in her body, often going shirtless, and is really just overall surprisingly a good feminist figure, embracing her sexuality. Still, she enjoys things like sweaters and when she's wearing clothes they're all black. She still has that Beatle Bowl cut but it's a bit more of a mullet at the back

Russel: Loves feminine things, loves shoes and dresses and everything like that. Unlike her male counterpart, she doesn't feel pressured not to wear this sort of thing, so she really goes all out. She keeps her hair shaved, but she likes to wear headbands with bows on them. Every now and then, when she feels like it, she can look very sporty, with jeans and layered tee shirts, and one of her 300+ pairs of sneakers

Noodle: often pairs dress clothes with casual wear and is a firm believer that clothing does not have a gender. He dresses pretty much the same as his female counterpart and keeps his hair in a bit of a bob just like hers. sometimes he lets it grow out

Ace: Still a bit wirey and tall. Very sleazy. Still has the mustache, still wears neon colours and oddly shaped sunglasses and clashing pattern. Still greases her long hair, still just an overall goblin

Del: Very muscular! An absolute ladyboss. She has her hair in long dreads, likes lipstick, and can kick your ass at baseball. Queen

Paula: ohhhhhh imagining her outfit on a man.... it is.... heehhehehehegegeg
