very simply. Reblogs are what keep this website alive, there are no rules to reblogging things. You can reblog things from mutuals, not mutals, you can talk in the tags. whatever you wanna do, as long as you reblog. that completely fine, thats what tumblr was made for. Whereas social medias [and I refer to tumblr as social media super loosely here] nowadays rely on likes as engagement. Liking things on tumblr is used for posts such as vents or stuff like that. Not for things that people make. I'm not calling it content, we arent getting paid for what we make we are not content creators. we are artists. No matter what thing we use to make our art- if youre a writer, painter, digital artist, photographer, whatever!

People make things for themselves, they share them for other people. You don't make an entire four course meal just for yourself, you dont spend hours making a cake just to leave it sitting on your kitchen table. Likes are not visible on tumblr and if yours are, nobody is going to go into your blog and click on your likes. nobody is doing that, like ever. So you like a bit of fanart and it stays in your likes, unseen forever. Where as with a reblog, you are showing that fanart to other people for them to then show other people. your reblogs are visible because they're visible on your dash.

People who create things, artists on tumblr thrive on reblogs for other people to see their things. Using the analogy of the cake again.

Likes are you putting the cake behind a glass wall and going "thats a nice cake."

Reblogs are you cutting the cake up and sharing it with other people, telling them the recipie.

People thinking that likes do anything other than just, staring at the artist. Reblogs are showing other people going "look at how cool this person is! this is where you can find more cool things!". Tumblr is not tiktok its made for people to reblog things.

your blog is your house, why wouldnt you want to decorate it with things you love? this is not some celebs house with crisp white walls. Have fun! reblog stuff!

Now dear anon, Im gonna adress you and other people reading this directly. Say you spend hours making something that you really love, your bleary eyed, youre tired and hungry and so fucking proud of what you made. So you go and so super excitedly show it to your friends. youre beaming and all wide eyed with joy, you have the joy of creation pulsing through your veins...and they just. stare. they all look at you. Maybe, if youre lucky, one of them will raise a disconnected, bothered lackluster thumbs up. How does that make you feel? Do you feel the joy drain out of your body? do you feel that lack of dopimine in your brain? do you want to pick up your pen again? do you want to put your time and effort into something that you feel like nobody cares about it?

Now, different situation. You spend hours making something that youre proud of, you go running to your friends going "look! look what I did!" and they all irrupt into this joyous laugh, they praise you, people freak out at you, you get affection. you get a reward. You walk into the kitchen the next day and the stuff you made is posted on the fridge along with sticky notes.

Thats how it feels to be a creative nowadays on tumblr. You spend hours working on a fic or a request or gifs or video edits or what have you. And if youre lucky you will get like, 3 reblogs and one of those are you re-reblogging. For example, here are the likes/reblog ratios from my most recent fics

Okay so i gotta talk about Gen V ep 5 or am gonna explode!

And gotta talk about The Boys S4 spoilers for 2 reasons... 1) something mentioned by Dr Cardosa in the episode and 2) the VoughtHQ twitter leaker... mainly cuz am getting this after trying to check on a leak from season 4... their twitter also wont load for me... like can we just let Becca Saunders rest? Can her poor life stop being milked for manpain??

Spoilers under cut obvi.

First-- off congrats Marie and Jordan I hope you 2 get married and be the power couple this universe needs.

Second here its out Butcher cameo lol. I think this is from S1 after killing madelyn but seeing him in a beanie its so weird altho there is a Homelander article in the same page so who knows.

Third-- Cate you poor bitch!! I felt so betrayed but i dont doubt she its being brainwashed/groomed by Dean Shety so maybe she can be redeemed and her powers are too strong.... i dont doubt that there its a chance she its involved in who appears in ep 6 if thats not a halucination.

Fourth-- Dr. Cardosa mentioning a virus to deal with them... so i guess thats how we r gonna deal with the supe population and why i think the vought hq leak might be real as it mentions the virus as well... i think its super interesting that Vought its developing a virus to kill supes, i guess stan edgar did had a way to make V24 viable despite having supes and maybe a way to get rid of Homelander... by giving him the common cold i guess.

Fifth-- am glad that Maverick is another bisexual king but its the bestiality jokes necessary?? altho I assume his alpaca gf Sloane its just a shapeshifter. So far we got Marie, Jordan, Emma, Cate and Andre as our bisexual monarchs and thats basically the whole cast sans Sam... absolutely iconic Kripke, best apology after fucking up Dean Winchester but i wont forgive you for what u did... still thank you.

Sixth-- the pv for the next ep has fucking Soldier Boy!!! Deep down i feel he its most likely a halucination... saw some ppl theorizing that Cate its mindstorm daughter and she witnessed Mindstorm getting killed by SB so she will use her powers to send them to a mind prison to fight SB which is absurd but i doubt SB its there unless Cate's powers were use to brainwash soldier boy and use him as a weapon in the future, as his powers r too good plus is Vought wants to kill all supes then it makes sense for them to team up with the american govt and have SB as back up while they work with the Superona.

Seventh-- i only now noticed there its a wall poster for homie and loneliness on those school mental health ads which is sad and funny.

Eight-- overall great episode loved how much its happening and its only been days inside the canon, and fuck Rufus! How its the next 3 eps gonna kill me!! Like its too freaking much!!

And finally this shit...

I would not be surprised if this virus is the one being developed in The Woods by Vought, second if this is real then Butcher its a complete pos and a hypocrite i expect the following scenarios of: a) during the time Becca was raped or the wk she went missing thats when Butcher cheated on Becca so its not hatred that motivated his revenge against Homelander but guilt for cheating on his wife... probably with his married fbi plug if i had to take a guess. Or B) Becca learned of his affair decided to have her own affair with Homelander tried to end it which resulted in her S.A. which its why Homelander doesnt see what he did as rape bcuz i guess its not assault if its ur GF/Wife in his mind.

And i guess he takes V or the V24 never left his body unless some Supe can give powers which cause Butcher to use them am so confused is he like a power conduit???

I am gonna say Frenchie or MM will die in this story unless by main characthers they mean any of the Seven, Vought execs or Neuman... doubt Hughie, Starlight, Kimiko or Homelander are gonna die in S4.... but maybe Ashley who knows.

And finally giving cookies to Ryan did like HL saw the tumor felt sad for Butcher and decided to let him see Ryan? or did Ryan just sneaked out and met Billy??

i think the portal range limit would be the amount of energy i have? like, the farther a portal i mad is the more energy it uses, and i have to wait till get enough energy to open another one (depending on distance). whenever i'd go to another dimension i'd wait to wait for my energy to refill before i could go back home (which means i'd basically freak people out just to get chaos energy).

Fate was very dedicated to her job, and she was good at it. i think she had shoulder-length/short hair and a soft voice, but i can't remember much else. she at the very least tolerated me but her only issue with me was the 'cause problems on purpose cause i need chaos' thing. job titles get a bit confusing sometimes, cause like Satan was a job and a person, same with God (in my dimension God was a person who got overthrown and someone else took the position and got the title God. now every couple of millennia someone else gets the job of God/Satan. they were basically presidents).

jobs for gods were either 'responsibilities that benefit the universe' or 'responsibilities that benefit the sub-dimension you live in' my existence benefited the universe by keeping chaos in check, but i could also get a job and help the economy ig (politics were also really big in hell, but don't remember any specifics, i ran with a friend for awhile until i got bored).

more info on the tendrils, they were made from something that came from the portals they appeared out of, and i could choose the amount i have in exchange for length. i could have 1 really long tendril or a bunch of short ones. i would throw myself into the air (like,,, 5-7 stories high i think?) and would catch myself, no harm done. i could use the tendrils to lessen the fall substantially to avoid getting hurt.

yeah :] !! all those mythical creatures were real. though, i think Minecraft was a game in my dimensen as well? i didn't keep up with most mortal creations (besides music cause that was a GREAT invention) so I'm not sure, but i can't recall ever seeing a warden or warden-like creatures /gen

being the god of chaos was interesting, cause everyone knew i was important to the balance of our universe, but they Did Not Like me since i caused problems on purpose to get chaos energy. i was a complete menace to heaven, hell, and the mortal plane. i didn't interact with most people anyway, nor did i care about what others thought of me. (though I'm really good at getting important people to like me?? it's never been on purpose so maybe I'm just cool or something)

i don't think i've been to hell in a different dimension, but once i ended up in an afterlife that was pretty much Detroit, which was kinda funny.

the sin and virtue systems are very interesting. the sins were the 7 deadly sins (envy, gluttony, greed, lust, pride, sloth, wrath) and the virtues were the 7 heavenly virtues (faith, hope, charity, fortitude, justice, temperance, prudence). keeping the balance kept the world from chaos (albeit the unbalanced would be very beneficial to me it wouldn't be for anyone else). if the world got unbalanced, say there was too much pride in the world, everyone would become prideful, which would throw order into disarray. the combo of prideful and un-prideful people keeps the world in a helpful mix of good and bad, which is needed for balance. lost of balance just makes things real bad, like apocalypse/dystopia bad, or 'everything is to perfect to be real and will cause problems regardless' bad.

beings from hell and heaven could visit each other! though there was some tension between us cause we had. a lot of wars. we hadn't been to war in a while though so i hope they're doing better. I've visited heaven a couple of times (they have the softest hotel beds, highly recommend). and i might draw some pictures of heaven and hell when i get home :] /gen

i usually visit my house whenever i don't have anything else to do, or when instincts demanded soft bed (i nested a lot for someone who wasn't a nesting creature /lh). the only stuffed animal i can remember clearly s this pink-purple teddy bear, they look very soft.

economy-wise, we were very plant and magic driven? we had lots of materials for magic and potion making, and imported to heaven i believe. heaven and hell had different currencies, and they weren't like human money either. i can't remember the currency very well, but hell's was probably a coin currency system.

i've been in to many dimensions to count, but the one that stood out the most was a dimension that had no apparent supernatural entities (especially gods/deities) but had wards (wards = used to keep a entity in or out) strong enough to work against me, it was very surprising and i never figured out why they had wards that stong.

for my copinglinks (though i'm not sure that's what they are since they weren't voluntary?) i just randomly feel like and get mental/phantom shifts for androids/ghosts/zombies. for the android/ai i think more logically and can't feel things as well. for the ghost i get all floaty feeling and don't mind being cold, and for the zombie my left leg gets stiff and i go non-verbal. i believe they're all dpdr (depersonalization derealization) related cause feeling like a robot/not real/dead are symptoms of that.

ok i havent beat the elite 4 yet but i finished the necrozma plot line in ultra moon and ive got some thoughts

- i really love this game. the changes they made were great and going back to sun to grab some mons for my dex felt so empty. i feel ultra added a lot more scenic things to routes and the additions of the beaches and mantine surfing is awesome. i didnt really give this gen much thought when it first came out, like i liked it but found some of the mechanics were weird or annoying. i wasnt interested in the new pokemon and thought the trials were too different from the gyms. but now i absolutely love it. its such a breath of fresh air honestly. and i made it a point to have teams of only alolan pokemon and i really came to like them a lot. being able to get the giant totem pokemon in ultra is great too. i cant gush about it enough

- i was a little disappointed that they scrapped lusamines story with nihilego. it really fit her character in sun and i feel that without it the whole “cryogenically storing pokemon” and her personality were kinda out of place. i think they couldve kept it in and had the story mostly follow sun where she was only working with the recon squad so she could collect the ultra beasts as well, and then once you bring her back from the nihilego event the squad couldve been like “despite her betrayal we would be willing to help heal her so long as you take care of necrozma as initially planned.” like the way the player handled the situation impressed them and they decided to have them help instead of learning pokemon stuff themselves

i just feel like it couldve worked cause with the idea of humanoids living in this universe with the ultra beasts theyd obviously have info on them, and the fact that nihilego is like a parasite and saps the life force from people theyd probably have experience dealing with the aftermath (also lillie didnt get to yell at her to be a better person and that was such a good part of sun)

- I GET TO RIDE THROUGH THE COSMOS ON THE BACK OF A GIANT MAGICAL SPACE CAT!!!!! that shits fucking TIGHT. i love solgaleo so much my big golden kitty with a big mane and its light form gives it little golden booties. i love lunala too the design is so cool but its wings take up so much of the screen rip. like using it in battle i cant see the opposing pokemon lmao. lunala definitely fits a little better with cosmog and cosmoem in terms of design with the purple and gold in an oval shape but both legendaries are so good

- i wouldve liked to see more ultra recon-like people but the concept as a whole was neat. aliens from another universe seeking to right the wrongs of their ancestors and also learn about other worlds. i like that necrozma wasnt seen as some big monster that was terrorizing people for no reason, but a creature that had been wronged and even when it lashed out and hurt others they still recognized that it was in pain too and the only way to solve the problem was to help it as well as themselves

and i think this might be the first time in a main game that there was like, almost a justification? for the player character to have these legendary creatures in tow. like necrozma needs its light and will get that light from being near solgaleo/lunala, so to have a trainer that is powerful enough to defeat ultimate necrozma carry them around would be the most logical course of action to preventing another disaster

- it still does feel weird that you can catch the tapus tho. like these are the guardians of the islands, why can this one trial goer just catch them and keep them in their team or in a PC box?? i get the whole “catch em all” thing but it wouldve probably made more narrative sense for them to just be like a super challenge. either individually really powerful or you fight them all in a row kinda thing

- z moves are so OP looking and pretty cool and i love them. i love how each type has its own dance, theres a few special ones for specific pokemon like the partner cap pikachus z move is adorable. what i find hilarious tho is how ridiculous they are in the animation. like for example ultimate necrozmas z move is like, total nuclear annihilation through absorption of all the universes light. and then the target just gently faints afterwards lmao. or the dark type move that straight up sucks pokemon into a black hole. theyre just so over the top and i hope they bring it back in some form like how you can have some mega forms in alola

"Darling! C'mere!" You heard Jack yell from his recording room. You were currently curled up on the couch scrolling through twitter. The trending page had "JACK" and "TRY NOT TO LAUGH" on the top. The tweets under the trending topics was filled with comments about Jack's stream and other streams happening.

You had heard him laughing and yelling in his recording room before. To be completely honest you dont know why he invited you over his house in the first place. You showed up at his house wanting to just relax and have a fun time with Jack, but after a couple minutes he had told you he had a stream already scheduled today and left to you to your own devices.

Thats how ended up on the couch looking at tweets that talked about your boyfriends stream.

You lazily rolled off the couch and onto your feet. You had the fluffy socks Jack had gotton you as a small gift. You both ended up getting the same socks and slipped around the house because of the hardwood floor. It was a fun activity until you were both mimicking ballroom dancing untill you both slipped and fell on the hardwood floor. It was a small moment but then after you both were more careful around his house.

Opening the door to his recording office you peaked your head inside now knowing if he wanted you completely inside or just wanted to quickly tell you something. The door was in frame when he streams so you couldn't be discreet.

"Hey-"

"Hey! Y/N! Guys it's Y/N!" Jack exclaimed showing you off to the stream. "Come over here love." He waved you over while rolling his identical gaming chair for you to sit on.

You smiled and made your way over to sit beside him in the broken chair.

"Why'd you give me the broken chair this time?" You smiled as you questioned him.

"I mean they are identical, no one would've noticed."

"We'll you told everyone who sat in it that it was broken." You said matter of factly.

"Do you want to sit in this one?" Jack asked pointing to the chair underneath him.

"Yeah I do." You said while putting your hands together in a prayer position. "You wanna switch with me?"

"No, not really Im quite comfortable in my own chair love." Jack said with a smirk leaning back in his chair.

"You sure?"

"Yeah pretty much." Jack's smile widened as he saw your frustration grow.

"Dickhead." You said under your breath.

Jack started to laugh. "What did you say?" He swiveled his chair to face you.

"Nothing. You're hearing things." You smirked.

Meanwhile the chat was freaking out about your interactions. You werent a stranger to Jack's fanbase. A year ago you were just Jack's roommate, but then he slowly introduced you as his significant other. He started flirting with you on stream and on twitter, then after a couple months of that he titled a stream "MEET MY S/O!!!". It was weird for you to be on stream for the first time, but you became accustomed to it.

"What did you want me to do again?" You asked. Jack probably forgot the reason he called you in there in the first place.

"Oh yeah! I wanted to do a stream with you! A you laugh the stream ends type thing. Also the chat was asking for you, they missed you apparently."

"Oh of course they did, I think they love me more than you."

"Yeah I think so! And its not right!" Jack exclaimed and you laughed along with him.

"I think we already lost the challenge, cause we've been laughing for a while haven't we?" You brought up.

"Well the challenge hasn't started. And if we laugh you have to get bonked in the bead with this pillow." Jack had gotton up and walked around the room searching for something to become a punishment. "We have 3 lives each and if we use up all of our lives the stream ends."

"And I have you all to myself?" You asked slightly serious. You still were irked because of tbe fact he invited you over and left you, I mean you are here now next to him, but you wanted time without a camera and monitors in your face.

"Yeah love, of course. But you have to laugh!" Jack exclaimed.

Thinking about the situation, you wanted to laugh and lose all your lives on purpose so you two could have alone time together.

"Fine let's go!"

"Alright then!"

"You suck at this game dont ya?" Jack laughed as mutiple short videos from fans kept popping up on the screen. "You have one more life and I only have two."

It was 30 minutes into the stream and youve been hit with the pillow on Jack's lap more times than you could count, at least that what it felt like. You were on your last life and actually trying to stay in the game after realizing how much fun this was. Maybe you were being selfish, because you were right next to him doing things that you two were going to do alone.

"You have no sense of humor babe." You replied back.

"I do have a sense of humor! I could say my sense of humor is broken even."

"Well mine is too when we compare how many lives we have left."

"Good point."

"YOU LAUGHED!" You stood up confronting him trying to pry the pillow out of his hands to hit him with.

"NO! I did not! Let go!" Jack said still sitting down struggling to keep a good grip on the pillow. You successfully took the pillow out of his hands and started repeatedly hitting him with it as he tried to shield himself.

"Augh! Stop!"

"He laughed! He laughed, you guys saw that right?" You bent down into frame reading the chat while they spammed "YES" and "HIT HIM"

"See, they agree with me Manifold." You said confidently.

"They're just want to see me lose. I'm too powerful." He shrugged.

"Anways! 1 to 1! Loser!" You hit him with the pillow again.

"Stop!"

The stream continued on and the both of you were begging eachother to keep your one lives that you both had left. Everytime you snickered a bit Jack would catch it and vice versa. The stream went on longer than Jack planned, but it seemed like he was having fun. Finally after an hour of streaming and bickering between you both You ended up laughing at this stupid vine from long ago.

"YOU LAUGHED I WON!" Jack threw his hands up in victory. "Holy shit we can end the stream, this took forever."

"You wanna end the stream?" You asked after calming down.

"Well we could just chill and talk to chat, but I would've thought you wanted to chill without.." Jack gestured to the monitors on his stream. "All that."

"How'd you know I wanted to do that?" You asked with a small smile.

Jack shrugged. "Well I kind of left you here in my flat and went to go stream for a while. That was a dick move."

"Well thats what I wanted at first but then you called me in here. I was trying to get all of my lives down, but then I realized how much fun I was having." You explained. For a second you forgot that he was still live until you saw flashing text across a screen out of the corner of your eye.

"It was selfish of me-"

"It wasnt selfish bub! I feel that was valid, but you could've told me." Jack said reassuringly grabbing your hand.

"It was fun though! I wouldn't have it any other way Manifold." You smiled at him and he smiled back.

"Me either."

Jack ended up ending his stream and both of you said your goodbyes to the people watching his stream. He closed everything off of his computer and leaned back in his chair immediately relaxing when the camera was turned off.

"Thanks for inviting me Manifold." You said as he got up to put the pillow back in it's place.

"Of course love." He pressed a kiss to your forehead as we walked away for a second.

"Hey! Why did you invite me anyways?" You asked.

He walked back over to where you were standing and pecked your lips and winked at you. "Free content darling."

hes was at the time the only one remaining of the group that hadnt gotten wormed yet and he had to painstakingly watch spamton make friends with sierra as a fucked up coping mechanism for the loss of monecs(ogblue). its ok spamton saw sierra for sierra instead of a replacement after like a year lol. neumann is also the one that help spamton wit dates n shit after that year.

What are some unpopular opinions you have on i land? Mine are: there were a looot of bts songs performed.like i get it cause it was bighit and bla bla but it would be interesting and diverse to see more kpop songs on stage like even the trainees on yg treasure box didnt spent all the competition performing bigbang songs. Others are: belif lab or idk should have defend K when he was victim of all that mess of harassment and i would have enjoyed seeing more of the vocal trainer (well this just proves that fans of 4gen and companies dont give a damn about live vocals anymore) for example they should have show her when taki needed help for fake love. I know 4th gen is so focused on dance nowadays, but the point of K-pop and why most ppl get into it is for the music, not the performances. Each performance NEEDS a good song they can dance too, right? i wish they’ll show us more vocal focused performance (butterfly and save me will remain two of my fave performances in iland. periodt.) Idk when they stopped showcasing live vocals on iland (I think it was at the BTS test?) even though at the beginning they clearly illustrated their distinct vocals with Into the Iland. I think they stopped after Rain left? Cause Rain was probably the only one who trained them both in vocals and dance (cue that part when he told them to sing right after dancing full out, and the iconic “when I woke up in my room.” This is why he should’ve stayed.) After that, they just concentrated on dance and I’m here like. I want to hear them singing live goddamnit. I still feel bad even now after Enha debuted, I can’t tell their voices apart because a) we didn’t get to hear most of their vocals on iland and b) BELIFT FREAKING STOP USING AUTOTUNE I WANT TO HEAR THEIR VOICES (but that’s a rant for another day, I digress).

When Hanbin in got eliminated because ”his vocals and energy doesn’t fit in with the rest of the group) I was like, what???? They just want a reason to eliminate him, and with so many fans supporting him, they decided to pick on something that they themselves should’ve emphasized more on the show 🙄. Tbh, we need more of his strong and unique vocals in this industry. So yes, they should’ve showed more of the vocal trainer throughout the show, instead of always zooming in on the dancing and criticizing only that portion of the performance.

I think they only brought up the vocal trainer just to put K in an even more awkward position and pile all of flicker team’s flaws and setbacks on him specifically (I mean, they already decided to make him seem like the bad guy with the whole “hee vs. k “ conflict). Since he’s the one who told the team to get the dance down first, they decided to suddenly pull out the vocal trainer card and be like “ohohoho, why aren’t yOu WoRkInG on yOuR vOcAlS?” And then after he cried and apologized, they revealed it like a villain redemption arc. Literally, I’m just so mad about how they evil edited him, and yes they SHOULD’VE DEFENDED HIM OH MY GOD. But how can they defend him when most of the time it’s also them who decided to mar his reputation? Idk who to blame here, mnet, belift or someone else, but I will forever be mad about how they treated K throughout the show. He deserves more than this bs.

Besides vocals, I was hoping they’ll highlight the rappers! C’mon, give me a whole Daniel performance where he just go badass with one of his self composed raps! Rap is the least focused part of the idol industry rn, and I get it because there’s also the whole K-hiphop scene going on (which is notorious for colliding with idol rappers, who they don’t view as true rappers), but I wish they casted more trainees with that potential and showcase that talent on iland as well. They should’ve trained those who have the interest and potential (Daniel, Jay, Heeseung, etc.) and make a unit battle for them as well. I was so looking forward to a rap battle :’(. Or just a performance that is more rap based where they focused on the rappers. This leads back to what you said about performing songs that are not just bts because he’ll, I would k*ll to see Jay rap to a bigbang song. I have nothing against BTS, and I know they’re part of the same label, but come on! Kpop is not just BTS! There are other group songs that’ll highlight even more parts of their capabilities other dance!

I agree with Kishimoto never trying to use the girls. The hate they get is not fair. I used to defend Sakura back in the days because I hoped kishi would do her justice. When shippuden started I WAS SO HAPPY because I thought this was the start of something great for Sakura and the girls but NOOOOO. Every time, Sasuke showed kishi turned her brainless. If you compare Naruto's actions and Sakura's actions to sasuke, you'd see they're completely different. What's up with that weird fake love confession scene 😭? It makes her look like she was manipulating Naru. JEEZ.

Also he literally had badass Tenten and Temari with cool useful abilities and he didn't use them ?! TF ?! Thank god for modern authors who treat their characters with respect :)

The way I see it, Sakura's character development in shippuden was always one step forward, two steps back. She gets this really badass scene (like her fight with Sasori and those cool ass medical skills) but is then regressed back into a pining girl in love every time Sauce is on screen or Kishi just throws her in the background YET AGAIN.

I love Sakura's abilities actually. Her brute strength, intelligence, vast knowledge and skill as a medic nin. But what I dislike about her character is how kishi handled her feelings for Sasuke. Naruto and Sakura's obsession with Sasuke was so???? huh??? it was so damn toxic and i never once understood why both Nardo and Sak were so obsessed with him. They were a team for one year???? I mean its great that they care about him alot but Sauce's feelings were kinda valid. His freakin clan died. Id go batshit crazy against my own village too. BUT BESIDES THAT. Both Nart and Sakura's Sasuke obsession was so annoying. 80% of shippuden was literally Keeping up with the Uchihas or Naruto yelling SASUKEH. BUT what irks me so much is the fandom's double standards with both Naruto and Sakura. "Oh Sakura shouldve gotten over her Sasuke obsession" but then turn around and call Naruto's obsession cute and gush about how he's so in love with him!!

Hot take but the only reason why sasunaru is "the most developed ship with the most chemistry" is because theyre both male characters.

I guarantee you if Naruto was a girl and SHE would be the one to have this unhealthy obsession who was chasing around Sasuke, the fandom would shit on Naruto just as much. And if Sasuke were a girl, Sauce would be sidelined like the rest of the female cast and Naruto would have another male character to have a "brotherly bond" with, because thats the only bond Kishimoto is actually good at developing. Yey for male characters having all the screentime and cool assets <333

And about that confession scene, I get her intentions. I really do. I understand that she did that in order to bring him home and that she cares about him but honey, w-why?? Why lie to him about your feelings?? Supposed he DID believe her, then what? then what kishi???? huh??? Some of her fans point the blame on Sai or whatever but I personally dont see why that scene was at all necessary. Maybe to establish Naruto's feelings for her wasnt all that serious? or his maturity? idk man. That scene was such a clusterfuck.

In the end her development in The Last and in Boruto was immaculate. She had one of the best glow ups in the old gen and ironically enough, her character wasn't butchered in Boruto. She got badass scenes she was cheated from in shippuden. I also love how she's finally getting the spotlight she deserves. Unlike the other konoha 12 :,)))

Okay onto the next female character that Kishi completely wasted. My baby. My light. 🙈 AAAHHH HINATAA.

I personally dont have anything against their crushes but to the point of making their personalities revolve around these guys every time theyre onscreen is so fucking frustrating. And with the way he writes their dialogues is so.damn.cringey. Like that one scene in the war arc with Tsunade and Madara

Her shy personality wasnt out of the blue, it wasnt a cutesy waifu trait. Her abusive upbringing made her that way. Her trauma turned her that way. So yeah, sue her if she looked up to Naruto as an inspiration when everyone else in her family treated her like dust. Shit on her for having Naruto's love light in her dark when her own damn father wouldnt even look her in the eye and her entire clan shunned her because she was "weak." Now if you say that Hinata didnt have development. YOURE INVALID. She came from an abusive household, the shyest girl in her class, her insecurities got in the way of her own confidence, had difficulty of standing up for herself now became a loving mother of two, has the guts to kick her husband out of the house(with whom she couldnt even keep eye contact with when she was a kid) became the strongest hyuga, most supportive wife and mother, and has given her kids the comforting childhood she never had as a kid.

She has one of the most beautiful stories in the show and if you think her personality is only Naruto-kun and big boobs, then im sorry that you cant appreciate such a heartwarming story.

And I agree, killing her would honestly make me feel more at ease than continue to see her suffer because of godawful misogynistic writers. But at least let her die in an epic fight. Please. PLEASEE. She got nerfed so bad, i feel a physical pain every time i think about it

Okay what else. I think Ino got pretty good development. Another wasted potential in shippuden but she's doing good for herself in Boruto. I dont know what Temari is up to. Alright I have returned from war, and am ready to tackle the second part to the ask you sent me earlier today. Lets do this....

Does Ethan's demeanor change towards coworkers and interns after they get married or before, and does it after having Elizabeth? I think before they’re married it changes slightly, you kind of see it now. He’s softer after meeting/falling in love with MC. I think he’ll always hate interns and be the domineering Dr. Ramsey but Gen has definitely softened him a bit. And once they have Elizabeth, he definitely gains more patience, but again he’ll always be who he is. Especially with the interns. Just a softer version with more patience

I forgot this question in the last ask does Bryce go from easy loving to paranoid after having his daughter? I think so, I think the first year of Kaili’s life, Bryce is paranoid to a degree.

What habits of Ethan and Genevieve change after having Elizabeth? Not routine habits habits like things they despised but now loved. Like my cousin's husband he's not a dude who liked taking pictures but after having his son he takes pictures of my nephew almost every day and is very enthusiastic about it in fact the first question to my cousin after coming from work is 'did you take pictures of him?' Why is that totally an Ethan thing too 😂 he rarely uses social media until Lizzie is born and then turns into one of those parents that’s constantly posting photos of their kid. And honestly? I don’t know... I think this is another one I’ll have to get back to you on.

While Genevieve's pregnant, is Ethan the cool calm collected husband or the freaking out, paranoid, over protective partner. I went to one of my cousin's appointments with her when her husband couldn't make it mannn the types of father's to be's I saw was funny and terrifying 😂 I can assure you every single one of them was scared😂 He’s a mix of both. Gen is incredibly nervous and worried her entire first trimester and so he tries to be as calm and caring as he can be to soothe her worries. But he’s also overprotective. He’s always been her protector in a way and that definitely amplifies once she’s pregnant. But he’s incredibly doting and does whatever she asks, gets her whatever she needs.

Does Genevieve get an image problem with new interns who don't know about Ethan's and gen's history? I’m saying yes and no. I’m sure there are a few landry type interns who think she’s using him, coupled with rumors of Gen “Betraying” Esme and her image is definitely perceived differently by some interns. But also once they see the way Ethan looks at her, and she him, the rumors die down and no one questions her imagine that much. Beside’s Ethan shoots down any and every rumor or negative claim thats aimed at her.

How did they choose god parents and who? Also do both if their kids have the same god parents? Ethan wants to choose them based on practicality and who would be best at taking care of Lizzie and Grayson. He makes a pro/con list for everyone. Gen wants to choose people she loves and trusts. They compromise and pick someone they trust and who they know would love their children as they do. Sienna is Lizzie’s godmother, Natalie is Grayson’s and Bryce is both their godfathers. But they both know that should anything happen to them, their entire circle of friends would help in a heartbeat.

Natalie as a maid of honour. Yes. But so is Sienna. Gen spent weeks mulling over whom to choose for weeks. She wanted Natalie because they’ve been friends since they were 4, but also Sienna because that’s her other best friend. Ethan came home one night to find her crying into a glass of wine because she needed to make a decision and was stressed. He then suggested she have both, it’s not an uncommon thing these days and this way no one’s feelings would be hurt. (my cousin had two).

Do have bachelor parties. Idky but I don't think Ethan's the type of guy to have one. Oh Ethan is definitely not the type to have a bachelor party. Bryce and Naveen try to convince him to have one but he never backs down. Gen on the other hand, she has a bachelorette party. Well not a party, per say. She is not the type for strippers or anything crude. She and the girls do a weekend away at a spa. Mimosas and massages.

Does Ethan see her in her wedding dress before the wedding. He does not. She spends the night before in the hotel suite her and the girls are getting ready in. He doesn’t see her until they do a reveal photo. Just her and Ethan and a photographer to capture the moment he sees her all done up in her dress. (One of the few times Ethan has ever cried)

I want to know what happens when they are having sad days and how do they heal from it. Like today I was having a sad day because everybody was fighting today and fighting for me just dampens my mood so when I'm having a sad day I can't smile, I mean it doesn't reach my eyes as it usually does and I can't bear noise like not even listen to music because noise hurts I heal from it by talking to my bestie or you guys but she sleeps early and isn't available to talk so I'm talking to you and I'm feeling better!☺️ Okay first, I’m sorry you’re having a sad day. Sad days are the worst. I am sending you lots of love Second, Ethan is the type, I think, when he’s having a bad day to want complete silence and a glass of scotch. To be alone to just digest the day. On those days, Gen cooks him dinner and lets him be. Sometimes he wants to just hold her the rest of the night and enjoy the quiet comfort she gives him. Other days he doesn’t. Gen can always tell which kind of sad it is by the way he greets her when he gets home. Before they’re living together, like in current canon time, if he’s having a day when he wants to just be alone with her - he’ll either text her to come over and ask her to come over before he leaves the hospital. Gen is the type of person that feels things deeply and needs to talk about them. No matter how silly the emotion may seem to someone else, she needs to talk about. Otherwise, she’ll get stuck in that headspace for a long time. In the beginning of their relationship, like current canon, she’s very hesitant to lean on Ethan as much as she wants to. She’s all in with him, no going back, but she doesn’t feel like he’s there yet. So now, she tends to talk to Sienna or Bryce even if the only person she wants is Ethan. There are some days, the worst days, are when she doesn’t care and goes straight to him. And he is quick to give her whatever she needs. Which is usually to let her vent out her frustrations and then just hold her the rest of the night. She finds the most safety and comfort from touch.

How well can Ethan read her body language? And how well can Genevieve read Ethan's? Extremely well. Gen is not a hard person to figure out, not once you get to really know her. Ethan knows what every frown or look means. I think it freaks him out at first, how well he just knows her, but overtime he loves it. Gen knows him just as well, though sometimes he can be hard to read. But 80% of the time she can read him like a book. Especially when he finally stops pushing her away and lets her in. Plus they’re both amazing diagnosticians, it doesn’t take long to figure out the problem

What is their comfort food, place and activity? Gen - her favorite comfort food is peanut butter cups, and as silly as it sounds mac and cheese. When she was a kid, she spent everyday after school with her grandparents - her mom’s parents - and whenever Gen had a bad day, her memere would make her mac and cheese and they’d sit and watch tv until she felt better. (Ethan found this out after he met her grandma, and on a day when Gen seemed to be struggling, he told her to come over and he made her a fancy version of mac and cheese. She cried.) Her comfort place is the beach, she grew up in a coastal town and no matter they weather, the sound of the waves could calm her down. Her comfort activity is watching some mindless comedy show. Something where she doesn’t have to think can just escape for a bit. (her other favorite is snuggling with ethan while he reads to her, from whatever book or medical journal he’s currently reading)

Ethan - does this man have a comfort food? Can I say scotch lol I don’t know. His comfort place is probably his apartment. Its his own space where he doesn’t have to be Dr. Ramsey, he can just be Ethan. Comfort activity, I’d say its probably like reading or something like that.

What long chartered fics would you recommend for either a Robin in particular, or Batman and one of the Robins, or just the Batfam in general?

Oooh, long fics are my favorite. By rule I only recommend completed fics, so because of that I’ll leave out a bunch I love, but here are some of the longest fics on Ao3 (and one from FF.net) that I liked, sorted by main character or main relationship:

Dick:

Second Generation by lowlyingfruit

TW: Referenced Rape. Basically, due to the Blockbuster incident…. Dick is a father. It’s a very realistic fic following him dealing with that. With some added Jason.

No Good Deed by Black Friar

Robin Dick gets badly injured while working with Young Justice. Not long after, some jerkface at school (accidentally, if I remember, but while picking on him) pushes him down a flight of stairs, causing him to hit his head and require a hospital stay. While there, they discover the injuries he had previous and just assume Bruce did it. So he gets taken away by CPS, and this follows both Dick and Bruce during that journey. Lots of angst. Good Dad Bruce, too. Chapter 18 is my favorite.

Becoming Robin by wordsgohere95

TW: Child Abuse. This one is a take on Dick ‘Becoming Robin.’ Ha. Get it? Following what would actually happen to a 8 year old when he got stuck in a largely unsupervised detention center. It’s really rough in the detention center. A kid basically brainwashes Dick into having stockholms syndrome, and to be honest with you, I probably wouldn’t read the first half of this again because it was too much for me. (I’m a baby and the kids are really mean to Dick :[ ) BUT I really enjoyed the fic over-all. It was well written and believable. It definitely deserves more than 174 kudos.

Jason:

Retrograde Motion by Lysical

Jason gets deaged while he’s on a mission with The Outlaws (Artemis and Bizarro) and ends up going back to the Manor to live there during his predicament.

I never call (a crazy thing to do) by ohnomydear

I was torn between Tim & Jason and just Jason for this. But basically, due to magic and stuff, everyone in the world forgets who Jason is…. except Tim. The whole fic is them working toward fixing that, while Jason struggles with his insecurities.

Jason Todd: The Not So Outlaw by GoAwayOlivia

I feel like I rec this every single time people ask for recs, but can you blame me??? It’s a work of art. Jason moves back to Gotham, intending on staying just a few months. But that rascal Tim has other plans, and slowly pulls Jason back into the family.

Tim:

Blood in the Water by Misha Berry

Tim is Bruce’s bio-kid. He finds this out after he’s Robin, freaks out, and is promptly kidnapped by Talia. Because, you know, she can’t have Tim ruining her plans for Damian being the sole heir to Batman. So Tim is at the League. With Damian. And Jason. It’s great.

Confidence Lost by C_R_Scott

This is a crossover with White Collar, which is a thing I had never heard of and is still something I’ve never watched. I’ve read this probably 5 times, though. (More specifically, listened to the podfic). Basically, the plot is Tim doesn’t die by Ra’s, but rather ends up without his memory (it explains how) as the main character of this White Collar show. He’s basically a dude who steals and forges artwork, gets caught by the FBI, and now works for the FBI in NYC, instead of being in jail. He crosses paths with the Waynes, and they quickly figure out he’s their Tim. I love this story.

Damian:

Innocence and Experience by redrobin1989

Damian gets dropped into the Young Justice world, and they have to deal with him being all prickly. It’s been a long while since I’ve read this. I think this is the one where Damian is Dick’s robin, so this is really his chance to spend time with his dad. Dick gets all jealous. I remember really liking this, though. A lot. I need to reread it.

Falling Together by Raven_Queen

I’m behind on this. I haven’t read the last several chapters and I need to, because I really liked it. I’m not usually one to read F/M fics, especially not OC ship fics. I tend to stick entirely within the Gen works. But this was super cute. Damian starts competing with a girl in his class academically, thinking they’re friends…. when actually he’s just being really mean. But he fixes it and is so sweet to her. Adorable.

Ghosts That We Knew by fishfingersandjellybabies

Damian is dead. But that’s okay, because he’s a ghost. And he haunts the batfamily, kinda acting like their guardian angel. Tim can see him, sometimes. It’s great. I’ve read this twice.

Jason & Dick:

View From Jade by lowlyingfruit

Jason gets thrown back in time, to the time just between Dick’s parents’ deaths and him becoming Robin. He decides to intervene, because how dare Bruce make Dick Robin. He learns a lot about his older brother in the process.

Tim & Damian:

Juneberries by Misha Berry

Tim gets kidnapped, and Damian feels guilty, the goes after him. He ends up getting caught, too, and there is some great bonding between them. Tim angst, too.

Bruce/Batfam

Foreign Object by audreycritter

Bruce has a brain tumor. A super realistic fic following Bruce leading up to and then post-surgery. It follows the entire batfam and looks at how it affects them all. Very well done.

Robins and Other Flightless Birds by ionaperidot

A Bruce from a different, nicer universe finds out that every other Batman has kids. And he gets jealous. And kidnaps a version of each of his canon kids from other universes. (He doesn’t actually kidnap them. He finds kids who need help in other universes and brings them home. Like Talon Dick, Catatonic Jason, Assassin Damian, etc). This is fantastic. I was sad when it ended.

There. That’s a combined total of 1,666,066 words. Thats… uh… a lot of 6s. Enjoy!! :D
