Thinking about a time travel Pirate-King-Luffy-Raises-ASL fic but specifically like.

He knows the things he wants to fix in Ace and Sabo's lives. He knows he's going to shower them both in love and affection, reassure them constantly that they are safe, that they are wanted. He knows he never wants Ace to grow into that sad, angry, lonely little boy who believed his existence was a curse; never wants Sabo to be taken from them only to return weighed down with mountains of guilt and need to atone for something that was never his fault. He knows he's gonna do everything in his power to give his brothers -- his sons, now -- the carefree childhoods they deserve, and when they grow into young men and set off to chase whatever dreams they dream in this life, they'll do it with his full support and the knowledge that they can call on him if they ever need him, and he'll always come running.

Then he finds himself looking down at this timelines version of Monkey D. Luffy, a tiny little baby who blinks at the world with big, startled eyes and grins a gummy smile at everyone he sees.

And Luffy realizes, with a kind of slow-dawning horror, that uh... actually, his childhood sucked too.

I don't really have a ton of plot for this but just the surrealism of holding himself as a baby and coming to the awful epiphany that he... deserved better? That his childhood was Not Good? That it wasn't just his brothers who were failed by the world in general -- but that he, Monkey D. Luffy, should not have been dumped in the care of a girl barely old enough to raise herself, much less a child. He should not have grown up with an empty, howling loneliness in him that drove him to do absolutely insane shit like try to stab his own eye out to prove himself worthy of joining a pirate crew, because he was so, so desperate to convince Shanks not to be yet another person who turned around and left Luffy all alone. He shouldn't have been tossed on his ass in a bandit's hut and told to fend for himself. It wasn't Dadan's fault, or Shank's, or Makino's. It maybe wasn't even Gramps's. But it still shouldn't have happened. Luffy deserved better.

This Luffy will get better, he'll grow up loved and kept right from the start, but... wow. Luffy had a bad childhood. Crazy. And he just lived like that? A whole lifetime? He never dealt with it? Crazy. He's gonna go sit down with his sons and try not to think about it.

Pls, I need more time travel content of Conan ft. The Wild Police Squad. I feel like I wrote too many scenario drafts in my head and I can't get them out (so maybe I'll just babble it all here-).

The scenarios playing in my head are more on hurt/comfort centered, because in one idea, only Akai and Conan traveled back - few months before Hagi's death. And their whole motive aside from ending the BO is making sure that ALL of Rei's friends stay alive.

For Akai, maybe it's because he felt like it was the least he could do (and definitely double the effort to make sure Scotch lives).

For Conan, it's because he knows nobody deserves to be alone. Especially, not Rei.

Then comes the outsider's POV with the squad being like: "idk this kid, but it feels like he's heaven sent; and if anything happens to him, we'll wage war"

and if anyone asks why not the 'kill-others-and-then-myself' line, they will reply: "It feels like we'd be disappointing the kid if we do that, and something tells us we don't want that to happen."

And then when it's the timeline for Scotch's supposed death, Akai did the most idiot thing that will have Conan lecturing him (that's why he won't tell) - he pointed the gun at himself, with Scotch still holding the trigger.

Of course, naturally, Hiro was frozen not for the fact that Rye had a grip on the revolver's cylinder, but because killing Rye was one thing he couldn't do. Not after finding out he's FBI. Not when Rye has a son waiting for him.

Now, this is not where the hilarious misunderstanding occured, but rather during their recon (the flashback of Masumi meeting Scotch). Let's say after the mission, they wondered why Rye still stuck around the train station, so they (him and Rei) followed out of curiousity and saw a young teen, around the age of the girl, hug the long-haired sniper with the said sniper twirling the boy around. (They basically mistook Shinichi as Akai's son, yeah).

I'm just stopping things here cuz I don't think I can be cohesive enough as it goes on. It's probably not the end of my time travel musings, though.

Ron felt his throat burn dry at the shock of the teenage Wormtail, parading haphazardly along beside them. And he couldn't deny his own eyes and ears—Sirius and Lupin as young as he'd seen them in photos.

But, how in Merlin's name could they be?

Harry had shaken Sirius' hand, but Ron hadn't, and he felt incredibly tempted to poke him with his wand. So, he did.

"Oi! Where do you get off—!" Sirius brandished his own wand, silver eyes narrowing to slits.

Probably should have gone for Lupin, Ron reconsidered as he watched Lupin hold back a grin.

"Sorry mate," Ron grimaced sheepishly as they walked, putting his hands up in surrender. "I just wanted to—er, be sure..."

AU Where during the Grey Terminal Fire Ace, Luffy and Sabo all find themselves falling through time right into the middle of the Oro Jackson and the Roger Pirates back before Roger was even declared the King of the Pirates. The Roger Pirates are rightfully flabbergasted by the sudden appearance of three whole children from seemingly thin air but sort of just shrug it off and go ONE OF US after figuring out that asl have nowhere to go (Much to Shanks and Buggy's delight of not being the youngest anymore). Then they learn that these boys are time travellers and they're like holy shit that's pretty cool but we should probably hide your guys identity since we're pretty sure if the world government found out all three of you as well as your future sleeves may be in danger.

Eventually after much angst(Ace) and much suspicion, ASL come clean about themselves and slowly but surely integrate themselves deeply into the Roger Pirates. Then they find out that their time there may just be limited, that something was trying to draw them back to their original timeline much to both ASL and the rest of the Roger Pirates' ire. If they have anything to say about it not even the god's will be taking their three youngest away from them.

Who would haunt a house and who would make the house become haunted in your opinion? (Any characters/fandom/you may include yourself)

You said any fandom, so I'll go through some fandoms for fun :)

FE Awakening:

@kimium and I have an ongoing gag that Severa, Inigo, and Owain as modern au mid-20 somethings rent a haunted apartment together BUT Owain never sees anything weird because (a) he's oblivious and (b) Libra, Naga, his parents, etc. have got him dosed up to the gills with anti-supernatural blessing protection because he seems like the kind of guy who would get into supernatural trouble if given the slightest chance, Severa refuses to thinks ghosts are real and so always finds the logical explanation, and Inigo with Henry as his dad has a haunted aura that repels other ghosts (even though he is scared desperately of them). So they don't notice that they're haunted at all. They think the weird red fluid dripping from the ceiling is a pipe. It sucks to have a bad credit score.

Chrom would move have Robin move in with him and eventually think the house is haunted but it's really Robin. Robin knows its them who is haunted and is embarrassed.

FE 3H:

Ferdinand would move into a haunted house because he thinks its history is very romantic and then not realize it's really haunted. It is perhaps haunted with the ghost of forgotten nobles who died in what he considers to be a very romantic fashion (but was probably not the truth.) (Twist: It's not haunted at all and he has a rat problem + someone has been breaking in)

Octopath 2:

Temenos would move into a haunted house on purpose because he thinks it holds the key to where his brother went.

FFXV:

Prompto moves into a haunted house because it's cheap and he's living on his own for the first time. Demons haunt it and every night is like Fatal Frame for him and his camera. (Fun fact: I almost wrote a fic like this once.)

god don’t mind me just. losing my mind about el, steve and hopper in the time travel au

hopper who comes home late one day and the house is dark and quiet and he feels so bad because he was supposed to be home earlier but something came but — because something always comes up, and it didn’t used to be a problem but now he has a kid to take care of, dammit! so he opens the door, apology already on his tongue, when he sees that steve is here. dropped by after school again to keep the kid company.

and there they are, lying on the couch together, el resting on top of steve, her eyes closed. steve looks up and meets his eyes, a sheepish look on his face as if to say “sorry for the inconvenience”. jim feels the tension leave his shoulders and he waves at the harrington kid that has miraculously become a regular in his life now. steve waves back.

there’s food in the kitchen ready for him, and only then does jim realise just how hungry he is, so he scarfs down three servings of the delicious spaghetti before arms wrap around his middle and el is there, hugging him.

steve takes that as his cue to leave, as he always does. jim doesn’t remember seeing the beemer outside, and knowing steve, he walked all the way over here, wearing nothing but a thin jacket. that boy has no regard for the weather or his own well-being, so jim gets up and hands him his old leather jacket. steve looks so small in it, and hopper finds himself wanting to ask about that haunted look or those bags under his eyes, wants to ask about the faraway look steve gets everytime he calls him ‘kid’, wants to ask about that special bond he has with eleven.

but he doesn’t. one day, he promises himself. steve smiles when he says goodbye and hopper wants to tell him to be safe, to come over tomorrow so he knows the boy is well. he wants to pull him into a tight hug and clap him on the back and pretend that can fix the redness in his eyes or the air of loneliness and trauma he exudes.

“thanks for dinner,” is all he says, and steve only nods.

eleven watches him disappear into the darkness, and so does jim. she takes his hand and hop squeezes, his eyes on steve. who has become a regular in his life. who spends most afternoons here with el, leaving the moment jim comes home as if his only goal is to keep el company, to keep her safe, to keep her anchored. who apologised for the inconvenience even when he keeps his kid happy and makes dinner for everyone while probably not eating enough himself.

steve harrington. jim realises, staring into the darkness of the forest as he is, that he was wrong. he doesn’t have one kid to take care of now. he has two. and yet steve seems to be the one to take care of him. of them.

tomorrow he’s gonna ask steve. to stay a while. about his day. how he’s feeling. if he’s okay. how he’s doing at school. what’s happening in his life.

tomorrow, he’s gonna ask and learn how to take care of steve harrington.

Sara may occasionally join them, especially when they first start, but ultimately she prefers enjoying time travel from the safety of the TV LOL. She for sure has hours long conversations with milo about their adventures though, keeps a log of differences between time travel in doctor zone and the real world. I think she and milo probably made the doctor zone parts of his costume together :]. Milo brings her trinkets and such from the future & past when she doesn’t join them!

For how they got started, Melissa and Milo already have interest in time travel and, coincidentally, contact with the guy who invents it! One step closer to being queen of the universe for Melissa (also that ep where she goes on a mission with Savannah lives in my mind rent free as proof melissa is good at + enjoys time traveling), and a possible career choice for milo, where hes able to do all sorts of things and go all sorts of places (and, most importantly, help people + hang out with his friends!), since he wasn’t sure during the career day episode, and at the time hadnt known Time Traveler to be a viable option LOL. As for Zack, I think he likes the adventure + the glamour! Still a little bit of lumberzack left in him, plus he likes to hang out with milo and melissa of course, and theyd get in too much trouble to handle without him. Melissa is their sort of mission finder, since she has a good word put in for her at the time bureau and can get information. Milo of course taking the time travel expert role, and Zack being their damage control + honestly communications expert. This is entirely headcanon zone for me but i think he has a knack for talking to aliens and people from nearly every time period. Our charismatic boy!!

Its not terribly far in the future! If i remember right, doofenschmirtz is supposed to invent time travel 12 years after the pnf effect, and i sort of picture him, maybe in the latter half of the 12 years, having prototypes that he lets milo test out (it ensures durability, no? ahaha). Milo is in pretty big trouble with the time bureau for. being Milo and in contact with the literal entire spacetime continuum, so they try to avoid going too close to the bureau during any times where Mr. Block is, well, alive. (guy is Mean! and milo doesnt want to get cavendish and dakota in trouble, since god knows block would assume it was them that gave milo access to time travel)
