Yandere!Joker x Reader with Chronic Pain Headcanons

💚 After being captured by The Joker, you were terrified. Anyone in your position would be, even if you were, apparently, the object of the clown's affection. You were under the watchful eyes of both The Joker's lackeys and the Clown Prince of Crime himself, and the thought of angering them was horrific. So you tried to keep your mouth shut. Most of the time, the pain was somewhat bearable, but being restrained in such a manner made it agonizing.

💜 You can't hold it together. Who could? Your muscles screamed in pain. Your head pounded and throbbed. Your whole body was alight in agony. Your body heaved as you began to quietly sob. What else could you do but cry? Maybe you'd at least be able to cry yourself to sleep to escape the pain judt for a moment - but a sudden explosion of noise makes you wince and flinch, migraine pounding in your skull. The Clown quickly took notice of your tears and read his goons the riot act. Who did it? Who hurt his darling? Was it him? What about him? Nobody answered, though. He muttered something about cowardice before kneeling in front of you, cupping your face in his gloved hands, asking in a soft voice what was wrong. Disoriented and tired, you told him.

💚 You assumed this aspect of you would make him turn on you. Maybe, hopefully, see you as not worth keeping and send you off if you're really lucky. But if anything, this made The Joker more protective of you. None of his men were allowed to touch you. He didn't trust them not to make anything worse. Only he could help you unless it was an emergency. He kept you locked up in his room almost at all times. The TV was on at all times, you were left with some things to read and games that would strain you, all while laying on the comfiest bed he was able to pilfer in the dead of night. Oh! And the very soft handcuff he attached to the bedpost to keep you from running off, of course. Only the best for you, sweetheart.

💜 He'd make sure to get anything he thinks may help. Ointments, medicines, heating pads and ice packs… Hell, he might just kidnap doctors or physical therapists to begin a care plan if he had even the slightest inkling it may help. He wanted to show you just how deeply he cared for you. There is nothing he wouldn't do for you. No lengths he would not go. All he could hope for is that you'll see how much he truly adores you. That you feeling okay and being without pain was all he could ever hope for, ever dream of.

💚 One night, while you lay together with something playing on the TV, both of you silhouetted by the light of the television, does he tell you. After his impromptu bath in the ACE Chemicals factory, he was left with lifelong burning sensations. They came and went. Sometimes he could hardly see or breathe. Other times, he could hardly feel anything at all, like he'd gone entirely numb. Nobody else really knew, but he wanted you to. To know he understood. To know you weren't alone.

💜 He loves making you laugh! Maybe now even more so than he already did. Laughter is the best medicine, after all! And he's so glad he could take your mind off your pain, even if just for a moment.

Arkhamverse Mad Hatter:

- Jervis is startled at first.

- His first instinct is to detach himself from whatever has him captured.

- However when he sees that he’s wrapped up in your arms–he’s surprised.

- If it were anyone else, Jervis would have rolled his eyes and shrugged the arms away.

- But, it was you…his sweet dormouse.

- While he did find your sleepiness troublesome, he can’t help but find it endearing.

- Especially in this moment, where you were so deep in slumber, you reached out to him and nestled yourself into his side.

- After very little debating, Jervis decides to get comfortable alongside you. A small smile forming on his face that mirrored yours.

- Jervis usually tries to stay prepared for all your sleeping needs.

- Such as blankets, pillows, or plushies.

- Yet sometimes, like anyone else, he just forgets.

- The soft look on your face causes Jervis to pause his squirming.

- You truly looked really adorable when you were sleeping, he realized.

- Jervis eventually warms up to the idea of being a human pillow, but only for you, and in private.

Harley Quinn:TAS Mad Hatter:

- He rolls his eyes.

- Unlike a couple other Jervi, he's totally used to this.

- And he pretends to be annoyed.

- Jervis will gently try to shake you or pat you, something to get you to wake up.

- When deep down he actually loves it.

- He loves the warmth of your arms.

- He loves how you cling to him, and how your grip gets stronger if he even remotely tries to get away.

- Jervis ensures that whenever you fall asleep, he'll always be within your arms reach.

Joker’s Asylum Mad Hatter:

- Jervis is stunned at first.

- His heart pounds at the tight embrace.

- The beats get faster when he realizes its you.

- Well, this is quite the predicament.

- He's unsure what to make of it, but he can't say he's uncomfortable.

Becoming affiliated romantically with a man like the Joker is likely an intense and chaotic experience.. for the both of you surprisingly. He’s not one for emotional connection, and becoming emotionally attached to someone isn’t something he’s fond of. He likes unpredictability, and since you’re here to stay.. well..

His emotions fluctuate quickly, and at first dating your relationship would be built on very, VERY uncomfortable tension. He can be sincere at one moment, and the other go off to do something he’d find more stimulating. He finds romantic dates droll, and prefers nights out where the two of you try to create as much havoc as you can, even if you don’t really want to. If you perfer a more quiet, intimate time with him, he might Indulge you once every blue moon to his dismay.

He’d love having a green eyed partner, maybe he’d even have a preference to it! In a way, it’s like the two of you match, so he finds it hilarous… not at your expense of course !

He’s not on the best track record with relationships, but he does make an active effort for you at times. He’s very selfish and psychopathic, but at certain moments of the day he makes an attempt at checking in on you if he’s not caught up in a bat scandal. His jokes likely push boundaries and might be at your expense, though he never makes them to see you upset. He’s inept when it pertains to his partners feelings unless you actively communicate with him or he notices an unsubtle shift in behavior. He’s very suspectable to changes in his partner, and if you’re upset, HES upset.

Isn’t very affectionate through his words, unless he’s calling you a ‘silly Willy snookums bear” or whatever else he can make up at the top of his head. He prefers giving you gifts descreetly or giving you subtle gestures to secretly show he really cares.

He’s very dedicated in a relationship overall. If you agree to date him, then you’re with him eternally. He’s already had an idea for your wedding venue—Batman’s grave !

So au idea Jason doesn't get adopted by Bruce Wayne but he does get adopted by A Batman....a tomorrow knight.....

So my idea is that somehow Terry mcginnis finds himself in the past of Gotham ( yes I'm going by Dcau continuity so it after after batman the animated series but before the new batman adventures is the time I'm thinking of this time misplaced.) So anyway Terry somehow find himself in crime Ally were he stumbled upon a young Jason Todd is trouble ( can't think if he's getting beat up or chase. You decide of the conflict) Terry being the hero that he is, no matter what time he's in, saves the little punk.

" you ok little guy?" Terry asked after the rescue. Young Jason is obviously ( and reasonably) scared out of his mind. Sure he has heard of the batman on the streets, even seen some photos of him in the newspapers. But batman looked like he was a demon from hell. Young Jason mind was quick change when the not batman gaved him his first real meal is week when he notices Jason stomach growled. ( How did Terry get the food might you ask ? Cause he's batman duh.)

With miraculously avoiding the young batman of the time, Terry does find a way back to his time, But a little someone tags along " come back with a souvenir, I see." The elderly Bruce Wayne says. This confused Terry so he says " what souvenir?" Then the elder Batman point his cane to Terrys leg so were young Jason Todd is hanging off of.

( it a good thing to mention that this is a little after return of the joker so old Timmy todd is here.) everyone is obviously freaking out. A literal child from 40 ish in the past is in their present. Tim recognized Jason Todd as they grew up together in crime Ally and the fact both their dad's worked for two face back in the day. Tim remembers Jason disappearing two weeks after Jasons dad got arrested and a year before he became Robin.

This is bad that means that Jason was ment to be here and if they send him back it could cause a time paradox. The question was now was what to do with the little punk. Tim thinks that Jason should go with him given their history. He's pretty sure that his wife wouldn't mind having an other kid around the house. Barbara even volunteers giving that her and Sam never had kids of their own. But Jason has already got attached to Terry and with won't let go of him, no matter how the other have try. He has already has chosen him emotional support batman. So Terry makes a decision....

Later Dana gets a call from Terry to meet up her at some place. When Dana gets there Terry says " I should of told you this a while ago but I'm batman." And before Dana has time to process this Terry then says " and I've recently become an teen father." Then he pulls out Jason from nowhere. " This is Jason my adoption son." ( "Dana meet our adopted son Jason." Terry probably.) Dana then also adopted Jason seeing that the little guy is so cute. It was also weird when Terry went home to explain to his mom and brother that they were now a grandma and uncle. ( Even when the child was around Matt's age.) max was also surprised with she Heard the story

Bruce legally has custody of Jason,until Terry turn 18 in a couple of months. Bruce is now Jason grandpa in this au and with tim and Barbara are his aunt's and uncles. ( I haven't decided if Jason becomes Terry Robin or not. It's your decision really. But hay at least the joker is already dead if he does)

Rating Every TNBA Redesign Cos Why Not

The New Batman Adventures was the last season of the infamous Batman the Animated Series, although it moved to another less strict network. Because the producers wanted to do crossovers with the Superman animated series, they gave the series and its characters a more streamlined style to it. Now I dont wanna blame Bruce Timm entirely since there were many artists on staff back then who did the redesigns but because I hate this coomer, Im going to anyway. In BTAS, you can tell each character apart and they have their own unique outfits and looks to them. But here, these are some of the most unimaginative superhero/villain designs Ive ever seen. Although some did surprise me and were not that bad. So, for a bit of fun, here's my look at each Batman character's redesign in the final (and worst) season of the show.

(Not counting Robin cos he's a different character to Dick Grayson or characters that had very little changes like Clayface or Harley Quinn)

Batman

The big emo rodent himself. For his redesign, I like the more sleek look to Batman's cape...thats it. His original design is really hard to perfect. Its got everything. Why tamper with perfection?

Batgirl

I actually kinda like Batgirl's redesign. The yellow gloves and boots really help her stand out and its the one of the few times the darker toned outfits actually accentuate a design rather than ruin it. Too bad Bruce Timm couldn't stop salivating over her and the rest of the women in this show. So next time you see someone consider Bruce Timm this legendary storyteller of Batman, give them a healthy reminder that he shipped this college girl character with her mentor/surrogate uncle figure FOR YEARS.

Alfred

Its like they sucked away all of Alfred's snark and replaced it with a cardboard cutout. Literally, he looks so sterile and empty. Who had the idea of making Alfred look more bored and done with everything? Also whats wrong with his chin??

Commissioner Gordon

Good ole Commissioner Pringle got off pretty much unscathed but I think they made him a touch too old considering they gave him a more lanky body, which makes him look more feeble and weak. Dude looks old enough to be Babs' grandad

Joker

Ohhhhh boy. So Joker's redesign is infamously considered by fans as one of the show's worst redesigns, to a point even the showrunners were like yeahh. And thats not unwarranted. He looks like an inverted Dr Draken and im so glad they redesigned him again for Batman Beyond and onward.

Seriously he's A CLOWN WHERES THE MAKE UP?!!

Two-Face

I know Two Face is just a redrawn version of the original design with the TNBA streamlined art style but I want to draw special attention to the monster side of Dent's face. Notice in the original it looks more manic and feral? Heavily contrasted with the conflicted, guilty look on Dent's normal side? But here, in the redesign the monster side is less scary and Dent looks way too bored and angry. The overuse of black lines doesnt help.

Catwoman

She looks like Harley Quinn or Barbara wearing a catsuit. Starting to see a pattern here?

Baby Doll

Its a tough call cos they both look very good but Im gonna lean towards the redesign cos shes got that creepy doll look down to a T (Annabelle would be proud) whereas her original design looked more like a Tiny Toons character.

Scarface and the Ventriloquist

I like the redesign cos of the exaggerated style of the rest of the show perfectly captures Scarface since he's, yknow, a puppet and having the Ventriloquist be shown to be scared and submissive really does show how the puppet is ironically the puppetmaster.

Penguin

Actually I like both of them. They both give off that sophisticated element Penguin is known for and after so many reiterations of him being this crass Scouse-talking crime boss, its nice to see versions of him going back to his rich asshole roots.

Bane

In the original, he has a luchador-style mask and wrestling suit fitting his Spanish roots. Here, he straight up looks like a gimp. Its really bad. Embrace your heritage, Bane!

Riddler

They went from Frank Gorshin to Jim Carrey for Riddler (fitting cos Batman Forever came during TNBA's development) and I love that. So I love both of them. Nice to see a villain with some fucking colour in TNBA cos im tired of seeing all this black outfits. Also his cane being an extended question mark instead of a question mark on top of a regular cane is genius.

Mad Hatter

Both of them fit Hatter's deranged stalker vibes perfectly, but I wish they kept the colour scheme for the redesign cos Hatter's new colour scheme looks too rounded and doesnt stand out.

Poison Ivy

Killer Croc

Finally, now he looks like an actual crocodile instead of whatever the hell he was supposed to be!

Scarecrow

Okay, who the fuck decided to make Scarecrow look like the Babadook? Cos I want to give them a raise. Holy mother of piss, that is terrifying. That shit belongs in the Arkham games. I still prefer the old design cos it has that perfect blend of goofy and gothic. He looks like a Cacturne now that I think about it.

Mr Freeze

Yandere!Joker kidnapping you and keeping you locked away in his hideout. Of course, you're terrified. Trembling in fear, flinching at the slightest of movements - and worst of all, not letting J hug you or have you snuggle with him.

Well, that simply won't do, now will it?

"I'm sorry, darling, but I'm afraid you've forced my hand," He shook his head, pouting as he plucked the trick flower from his suit pocket.

Your eyes went wide the moment you saw it. Stumbling back, you turned to run - only to be captured in the harsh grip of two of Joker's men. They spun you around to face the Clown Prince of Crime even as thrashed in their grip.

"I can see you're very overwhelmed. And I'm so sorry for not taking your feelings into account! All this running around, hiding from the cops and Bats. Your nerves must be shot! So... How about we do something to take care of that, hmm? This'll make you see the funny side of things..."

You screamed so hard and loud your throat burnedas tried in vain to fight back, uding up all yoyr strength, begging for mercy and for Joker to stop- but it was too late.

With a squeeze of the flower, gaseous toxin flooded through the air, flooding into your nostrils and down your throat as you inhaled to scream.

You were dead. You were dead. This was it. You were going to die as a madman cackled above you, watching as you writhed in pain and laughed through a painfully wide grin.

You waited, eyes squeezed shut and tears streaming down your face as you waited for the agony, for the laughter, for death.

But, nothing came.

You opened your eyes, exhaling with a sigh as a wave of calmness washed over you. Your whole body felt light yet heavy. Everything felt so slow.

You hadn't even realized that you'd been released from the men's grip until Joker pulled you into his arms, nuzzling you. And for some reason, you didn't feel the urge to fight back. You just wanted to relax. Maybe sit down. And The Joker was so warm, so maybe being close with him like this wasn't so bad.

A giggle escaped you as you hugged him back.

"I'm sorry I had to scare you like that, dear, but you should know I'd never expose you to my toxin," The Clown purred. "Just good, ol' nitrous oxide."
