I like Tom's short-ish black hair but I do feel like it's kinda too short for Loki. Though I guess it's more reminiscent of Thor 1 Loki, but Loki isn't that bb anymore.

All things considered, I think I like his TDW hair best, bc I think it looks okay combed/styled but fabulous when it's a fucking mess.

Favorite time of the year: Right about now. June through August, where the days are longer and the sun is out and it's hot and we get storms. I'm also a huge fan of October, it starts with Comic Con and ends with Halloween, absolutely amazing.

Comfort food: Right now it's muffins. Mostly blueberry muffins but also pistachio muffins even tho I’ve only had a total of one (1) but it was a religious experience and I need more.

Do you collect something?: Music boxes. Cursed Tom Hiddleston merchandise. Unicorn tchotchkes. Book from my childhood (just started on this one).

Favorite drink: Coffee. Hot coffee. Cream no sugar.

Current favorite song: Armin Meiwes by SKYND. Hysteria by Spiritbox. So Good by Halsey.  Carolina by Taylor Swift.

Quarantine and Chill

Tom Hiddleston x reader

Warning: Just more fluff

Summary: This is part 2 to Quarantin online when the reader finally meets Tom after months of talking online.

               Tom: Biscuiteers, 194 Kensington Park Road, London, W11. Let's say 9 am, this Thursday? Will that work for you?

              When you woke, you'd thought it was all a dream that you didn't just Skype with Tom Hiddleston. That was until you looked at your phone. Finding that Tom had texted you after the both of you said goodnight. Even sent you a photo of himself this time of his far to a handsome face.

         Y/n: Sorry again for crashing on you last night. I've never been there, so sounds great. See you then.

You stood outside the shop of Biscuiteers hoping you had the right place the quaint little cafe was a bit busier than usual as people line out the door distancing themselves from others. You looked at your watch once again. You got to the cafe thirty minutes early. You were not able to stay home. Time seems to go far to slow for your liking.

"Y/n?" A deep velvet-smooth voice purred from behind you, making you squeak out in surprise, turning on your heels to come face to chest with Tom Hiddleston. Not realizing how much taller he was then you.

"Yeah." You said shyly, your eyes fluttered upward to look into those baby blues of his. ”Hi."

"It's nice to meet you, Darling, finally." Tom took your hand being ever, so the gentleman placed a light kiss onto your knuckles. Lingering a minute longer. Tom's eyes never once left yours he smiled as he watched you turn a light shade of pink.

"It's nice to meet you as well, finally." You managed to breathe out.

"These are for you." Tom offered you a lovely bouquet. You could feel your cheek heat up when you took the arrangement. It was a perfect size, and Tom had remembered your favorite flowers.

"Oh, Tom. You didn't have to." You hummed.

"Anything for a beautiful woman." Tom winked. "Shall we grab our coffee and maybe wander around London?" You smiled up at him with a nod.

Tom grabbed coffee for the both of you, even after you laughed at Tom for how silly he looked in his mask when he came out of the shop. He showed you around London. Taking the whole day to play tour guide, Ken.

After a late lunch, Tom took you down to Tavistock street for candy floss and ice cream, a little place called Milk Train. Though you may have told him he was crazy that ice cream and Cotton candy don't go together. Which ensued a small discussion on the right term to call the sugary cloud.

Tom ended up getting cookies and cream on roasted green tea ice cream with colorful sprinkles. You got the unicorn on Matcha ice cream both as a Choo-choo, which was when they added the cloud of candy floss or as you corrected Tom as it's real name Cotton candy.

Tom being the proper gentleman that he was even took you home—not wanting you to walk back alone—even walking you to your door.

"Thank you, Tom. I had a wonderful time." You said shyly. Not wanting the night to end. Tom had been great, and you hoped that he wanted the same.

"I did to Darling." Tom smiled down at you. Both of you stood there for a moment longer, unsure of what to say or do next. "Eheh." Tom was rubbing the back of his neck. "Would you like to come over for dinner sometime? ..... To my home, that is. ... Only dinner and maybe a film."

       You giggled softly at how reassuring that it was nothing more than that. He was definitely nervous. It was nice to see this man be so normal in away. You would have always thought he would be confident in every aspect of his life.

"I would like that, Tom." You nodded with a smile.

              "Really?" Tom's voice cracked a bit overjoyed. Making you giggle. "I mean, you don't think I'm overstepping ." Clearing his throat. "I don't want to pressure you on the second date by having you come over to some stranger home. Who may or may not have his way with you. Not that I'm going to I'll be the perfect gentleman. I mean if you wan-."

            You cut Tom off, pressing a soft kiss to his cheek.  "You're overthinking."

            "Eheh." Tom nervously chuckled his hand, running along with the spot that your lips were.

     Tom wanted everything to be perfect. He wanted you to have the perfect night with him. He may have even gone a little overboard to make it so. Purchasing outdoor movie projector and screen. Stringed lights littered his backyard. He searched ideas for the best setting for the movies and dinner. Finally, settling on to large style inflatable mattresses. Every pillow and blanket he owned laid thoughtfully.

         The menu he had made simple something he knew you would like, and he was known for his spaghetti bolognese. You may have mentioned that you wouldn't mind seeing if he did it the right way. It didn't help with his nervousness that you cooked professionally. While he waited on the sauce.

        He almost jumped out of his skin when the doorbell rang. Looking at his watch, you were early. Well, at least he hoped it was you and not his sisters spying on him. He had let it slip to his mom about you. Therefore his sisters knew and had given him a hard time. However, they did help with ideas on his little backyard project.

         Tom grinned when he spied you throw the peephole of his door. Tom noted that you wore comfortable clothes. He wanted you to be comfortable. You didn't have to get all dressed up for him.

         "Hello, darling." Tom greeted you when he opened the door.

           "Hi, Tom. I brought wine. I wasn't sure what to bring." You rambled Tom pulled you into a hug to make you stop. Relaxing you as you hugged him back.

"You didn't need to bring anything, Darling, just yourself." Tom smiled as he took your bag and wine for you as he escorted you outside. "Dinner is just about ready. Why don’t you make yourself comfortable, and I'll be right back."

       Tonight's movies: The Jungle Book (Disney version.) starts after dinner, followed by Jurassic Park.  The sign said on a table as you both moved over to the area Tom had set up the movie.

      Tom set up the projector while you got yourself comfortable on one of the mattresses. Few minutes of trying to figure out the machine a few cuss words under his breath. In hopes you didn't hear him.

        Tom finally got the projector working and settled on the other mattress, not wanting to make you feel uncomfortable if he were to get in with you. You looked over at Tom when you movie came up on the screen.

          "Tom, did you mean to have the movie play upside down?" You smile, trying not to laugh.

             "Eheh, No." Tom groaned as he stood back up. To fix the problem. "Before I forgot there is popcorn, sweets, and drinks on the table if you would like at any point."

              "I'm so full from that amazing dinner maybe later. Thank you." You hummed.

             Tom finally settled, and the movie started. You giggled when Tom began to sing out loud. 'Look for those bear necessities.'

           "You, sir, are a dork." You throw a small pillow at the man.

           "Hey, now I saw your feet swaying to the music. You know you were just about to bellow it out." Tom tossed the pillow back at you.

         "You saw nothing, mister. I was rudely interrupted from the movie by off-key singing." You teased sticking your tongue out. Placing the pillow back under your head. "Now, shh it."

         Tom settled down, and you both went back to the movie. Soon the second movie started. Twenty minutes into the film, you decided on some popcorn.

         "Do you want any popcorn?" You asked, looking over at Tom, who was watching you as you got up.

         "Popcorn does sound good. But I can get it, love." Tom hummed, pulling himself up.

         "I got it, Tom. I mean, I'm already up." You smiled, walking over to the cute little setup Tom had put a lot of thought into.

         "Where's mine?" Tom poured as you came back with some candy and one bag of popcorn.

         Carefully you kneeled on to the mattress with Tom. Making sure not to spill any of the contents from your arms, laying everything down on the blanket. Tom corked an eyebrow at you. Humming to the music. While you moved under the blanket.

          "I figured we could share." You shrugged a shy smile played along your lips. Brushing a loose strand of hair back behind your ear.

          "Of course, darling sounds like a lovely idea." Tom moved over just a bit, giving you more room.

         You scooted closer to the man popcorn in hand as you rested yourself against him. Your head was resting lightly on his chest. Tom didn't hesitate to put his arm around you. You both went back to the movie.   

         "Thank you, Tom, this has been the best and one of the most thoughtful dates I have ever been on." You spoke up kissing Tom cheek, almost startling him.

           "You are more than welcome." Tom smiled.

Tom leaned forward, capturing your soft lips with his own, testing the waters almost to see if you would pull away. He paused for a moment only for Your lips pressing back along with his. Your hand that was already resting on his chest, gripped into the smooth fabric of his sweater.

          He kissed you softly, yet there was so much passion behind each movement. His arms wrapped around your waist. Your other hand found it's way to tangled into his soft locks. Forgotten popcorn spilled over the blanket. 

            Only breaking apart when a roar that made you two jump apart. Both of you looked to the screen, chest heaving and out of breath as you saw the T-Rex come back on-screen attempt to kill a car. And two kids screaming for their life.

           "Eheh." Tom laughed as he turned back to look at you. Gently Tom moved so that he wasn't crushing you too much. Some point he had slowly started leaning into you. You bit your lip when you looked up at Tom; his hair was a bit of a mess. You could feel your cheeks heat up.

          "You know for being dead, dinosaurs do have the worst timing." You said breathlessly.

          "That they do." Tom smile kissing your lips once more.

         "Popcorn?" You offered Tom as you took a piece from the pile that was currently on top of Tom's lap.

        Soon the movie came to an end, and Tom was the one that didn't want the night to end. However, he hadn't realized yet that you had fallen asleep. Not until he went to get up to turn the projector off that he noticed. You looked so cute draped over him, with your face practically buried into his chest.

"Darling, the movies over." Tom gently stroked your cheek even though he didn't want you to wake you.

"Mmhmm." You nodded sleepily but didn't show any other signs of moving.

"Y/n?" Tom kissed your forehead this time.

"Five more minutes." You yawned your arm wrapped around Tom's waist tighter.

"All right." Tom smiles as he covered both of you up. Though he didn't intend on falling asleep himself, he did.

He’s super stressed like 99% of the time and even if he has actual free time they’re like oH rEsHoOtS 

Tom is honestly getting so so so frustrated with it he’s really tired of not having time for you

But then you’re like ;-; it’s ur dreaM

And he’s like o yea

So he lives with it

Near the middle and end of movie shoots he gets more free time because they’re not all like oH so many more sCenEs 

But then come the reshoots

So there’s this very specific window of time in a literal few years of shooting where he has actual time to take you out on real dates

But most of the time

It’s just casual ‘can u hang out for an hour’

‘k thanks bb’

So you go to his trailer or to his apartment where he’s in sweatpants and a hoodie and just looks dead

You feel so bad you just want him to be okay :((

So you greet him with a hug and immediately guide him to the bed

You wriggle your way under the covers and then hold them up so that he can get underneath too

He slides in and is like oh heCk this is a nap not a fancy dinner and I’m sorry that I can’t give u that

One time he starts crying because he feels so bad

Please just hold him

He needs lovins

You hug him and tell him that his job, however taxing, makes him happy, and you’re only happy if he’s happy, so you’re okay with not going out to dinner every night

Naps are better anyways :’)

Is that baby that ends up sleeping on top of you

His head is buried in your chest and ur :’)

His lil hood gets flapped up and covers his head a bit

He’s so soft

Sometimes you kiss his lil noes

Sometimes he wakes up from said noes kiss

and smiles sleepily at you before going straight back to sleep

This ends up being your favorite type of date because he always wakes up so refreshed and happy because he remembers that acting is worth it and he gets to be all snuggly with you and you get to be all snuggly with him

Its lots of lazy affection like a kiss that barely reached your lips or didn’t even reach them at all

Quality time between the two of you is basically just being in each other’s presence, it doesn’t matter how fancy the night is or how much money you guys spend

You just want him to be well rested and snuggled

WAY back in 2005 to 2009, I worked at Blockbuster. I remember renting Transamerica(2005). Back then, I was still a Christian and had been raised to think less of the LGBTQ community.. but that film, being about a transgender woman and her journey, helped open my eyes to how wrong it was to see 'them as anything other than the same as me.

Day 30 - Your least favorite movie:

I've got a lot but I will say that one's I'll never watch again are the Twilight saga(Never saw the last installment because by then I was sick of it), and any film that has male entitlement or misogyny glorified. I can’t really enjoy Dogma anymore because it’s got male entitlement in it.

Chapter two:

The next two weeks went by as normal. I went to work, then came home to my small apartment.

I loved my place. It was small studio, but super cozy, filled with plants, colorful interior and movie posters, old and new on the walls. But my favorite place was my reading nook. I had turned my closet into this adorable sanctuary. I loved spending time with myself and reading my books.

Well it wasn’t just my place, actually I shared it with... my cat Edith. She was a crumpy British shorthair who owned the place, and sometimes we snuggled. Loved that silly cat.

One day I was reading Harry Potter for the 100th time and drinking some tea from my favorite Star Wars mug, all snuggled up in my nook, when my phone binged. It was a text from Daniel, it read:

“So, I’m not coming over tonight. The guys and I are gonna go out.”

I sighed, cancelling our dinner plans again... I had gotten used to it, I replied:

“That’s okay, I’m just gonna stay in my nook and read my HP”

“HP? Like the sauce? Haha … Anyway... have a good night”

The two years with Daniel had been great, well good. He was a handsome man, with a steady, respectable job. He was sweet and knew what he wanted. We had met at a bar, where he came on to me …strong. I never really got that response from men. Often, they ignored me, or I just didn’t know how to flirt. So, when Daniel, this handsome man, came on to me and didn’t take no for an answer, I felt special, and after a couple of weeks of dating, we became exclusive.  

He had often asked if I wanted to move in with him in his apartment, but I was just not ready for that. I loved my space and alone time. He accepted that, but still needed to know what I was doing every day and who I was with. I thought sometimes it was a bit much, but he assured me that it was only because he loved me so much and was protective of his girl. It might sound stupid but made me feel like a princess.

He didn’t quite get my nerdy side either, in fact he often teased me with it. I didn’t mind, then I had something that was my own.

So here I was curled up in my nook, with my book and tea, putting on my unicorn headphones with Debussy blaring through, and Edith lying on my legs. That was a good night!

*Bling*

My phone made the sound indication a text. I thought it was just a drunk text from Daniel, wondering what I was up to. Contemplating not looking, I remembered that if I didn’t answer he would just call, and that I didn’t want to deal with. Sighing, I picked up my phone, and to my surprise, it wasn’t Daniel’s name on the screen. It read “Tom” ... I had to do a double take and made my eyes as big as saucers. The text read,

“Hello Y/N, wondering what Elle’s favorite vet tech is up to on this Saturday night? /Tom”

The biggest smile ever sneaked up on my face. I quickly replied

“Well hello Tom, nice to hear from you, how is my favorite patient doing? I’m just sitting in my nook reading and listening to some music. How about you?”

“She is doing absolutely amazing, back to being normal, happy Elle. A nook you say? What does that look like?”

I snapped a photo of my nook and pressed send.

“That is the coziest thing I think I’ve ever seen.”

Safe to say I didn’t get to read another line in my book. Tom and I texted all night, discussing music, literature and our pets. I was smiling like an idiot after reading a funny joke Tom made, when it banged on the door loudly. I let out a small squeak of surprise, before getting up and looking out the peephole in my door. There stood Daniel, in all his drunken glory. I sighed and opened the door.

“Hi baby, give me a kiss”

He stumbled through the door and attacked my lips. After a wet sloppy kiss, I got a small break just enough to close the door and lock it.

“Hi honey, wanna come in?” I said thick with sarcasm. I turned around and saw all his clothes on the floor and Daniel came closer in only his underwear. I couldn’t help but smile at the silly drunk, horny man in front of me. Suddenly, he slammed me against the door, giving me a second act of the sloppy kisses, before lifting me up, so I could snake my legs around his waist. He held me up against the door, while trying to get to my breasts. He mumbled something about too much clothes. He put me down and took my hand and pulled me towards the bed.

He pushed me down on the bed and pulled my small t-shirt off and my comfy shorts including my panties. The third act of more sloppy kisses commenced and with no foreplay or nothing, I felt his cock penetrate me and he fucked me for about 3 minutes before he got his release. He laid on top of me, sweaty and already falling asleep.

Well this is romantic.

After some squirming I got out from under Daniel’s heavy body and put him under the covers.

I returned to my nook to clean up, when I saw my phone...

“Tom!”

I said in a small squeaky voice. I looked at my phone to see 3 messages from Tom.

“Well I really enjoy Shakespeare, what other books are you reading at this moment?”

Few minutes later

“Y/N, did I say something wrong? Want to talk about movies instead?”

10 minutes after that

“I think you might have fallen asleep. It is rather late. But thank for the wonderful conversation. Sleep tight in your little nook”

That was received 5 minutes ago.

Oh well, he probably went to bed, should turn in myself.

With a hint of a smile on my lips, I crawled under the covers next to Daniel who by now was snoring and claiming 70% of the bed. I sighed and rolled onto my side, thinking about Tom.

This was not good, but it sure felt good, and different from anything else.

Sleep took over my thoughts.

The next week was quite eventless except the daily texting with Tom. It made me smile big time and to be honest gave me some butterflies in my belly.

What was this man doing to me?? I had a boyfriend, even though I clearly had more in common with Tom, than with Daniel. Why was I thinking about this? I love Daniel, don’t I? I have spent two years with this man. Tom, I didn’t know him...and he can’t be interested in me like that?! Stop thinking like this Y/N!

Leila my boss called my name and pulling me from my thoughts.

“Yeah??”

“Why don’t you head home, I will close up for today.”

“Are you sure? I can stay?”

“You worked hard this week, go home to Edith”

She said with a wink. I gave her a smile and thanked her.

I texted Daniel that I got early off work, if he was up to something? He replied that he had time for a quick dinner at our favorite pizza place.

Sitting in front of Daniel at Lorenzo’s enjoying the pizza, my eyes wondered over the man in front of me devouring a pizza slice.

“Do you wanna do something fun this weekend? I don’t have a shift at the clinic, so I’m up for anything?” I asked with cheer in my voice.

With some cheese dripping from the corner of his mouth, he looked at me

“Yeah… sure... oh shit, I can’t. Gotta go away on a business trip from tomorrow morning to Monday. So sorry babydoll.”

“Oh okay... that sucks... is this new? Haven’t heard about it?”

“Nahh. I just forgot to mention it”

I nodded slowly making a small frown and continued eating my pizza slice.

“By the way sugar, easy on the pizza “

He said it with a wink. I just smiled annoyed at him and he laughed. He had begun making jokes about my weight lately, because, yeah, I had gotten some extra kilos around my body. The obligatory boyfriend-weight. I wasn’t skinny when we started dating, but the extra was noticeable. Daniel still touched me and said I was pretty. But the comments here and there didn’t help with my already shaky self-esteem. But I’d learned to shrug it off and rolled my eyes at it.

Daniel left Saturday morning for his trip. Now it was just me and Edith.

“What do you say Edith, Chinese and Marvel tonight?”

The grey fat cat looked up at me

“Meooow”

“Greats it’s a date” I said patting her lightly on her head.

Crawling under my covers in my bed with Chinese take away boxes everywhere (eating my feelings away was where I excelled).

The opening credits started rolling over the screen Thor: Ragnarok and I was snuggling in with a mouthful egg fried noodles.

When I saw him, I nearly choked on my noodles!

Noooo! It can’t be?? It’s Tom! Elle’s Tom. Holy fuck! I’ve been texting with Tom Hiddleston!

I sat there mouth agape and not knowing what to do with myself.

About 10 minutes later, a *Bing* chimed in on my phone, picking it up and seeing “Tom” on the screen. I dropped the shrimp from my chopsticks, and opened the text

“Hi Y/N, what are you and lovely Edith doing this fine Saturday evening?”

What should I write? I don’t know how to talk to a celebrity??

“Well hello sir, just having a feast of Chinese food and a movie ... “

“That sounds like an amazing night, what movie if I may ask?”

“Thor: Ragnarok”

“Really? Like Marvel huh?

Oh god this is not happening!

“Yeah. Must admit I’m a bit embarrassed”

My palms began to feel sweaty and I turned red as a tomato. Here goes nothing

“Got to admit, I’m a sucker for a misunderstood bad boy”

The three dots appeared… then disappeared... Oh shit, cramming some noodles in my mouth, while my heart began racing.

*Bing*…

“Good to know. So, you would join his army then?”

“In a heartbeat, kneel and everything”

Did I just write that? And send it?! Fuck! Well it’s too late now ... and yeah, it’s just fun. Nothing serious. Right?

My heart began beating harder and the butterflies were so bad I almost began feeling nausea.

“Careful pet, playing with fire, are we?”

That text went straight to my core. Reading it repeatedly, I could practically hear Loki’s voice whispering the words. SHIT that was hot. I sat up straight, not knowing what to do with myself. My fingers hovered over the keyboard on my phone. The three dots appeared … I bit down on my lips waiting for the next text.

“Sorry, too much? Didn’t mean to scare you?”

“Oh no don’t apologize. It’s all in good fun. So, what is the big movie star up to this Saturday night? Big party? Red carpet?”

Tried to wheel it back in.

I did have a boyfriend ... boyfriend ... Daniel. Hmm wondering if he had landed?

I sent him a text asking if he landed okay? – No reply

*Bing* Not from Daniel, but from Tom

“You might think that, but no, I am just enjoying my time off with Elle and reading a bit. I do have an idea… if you are up for it of course?”

“Sounds nice. Sure, what is it?”

I was glad that the flirty undertone had disappeared. Didn’t think I would handle that, and I’m quite sure that he was just playing along.

Tom Hiddleston couldn’t possibly want to flirt with me. No, it’s just fun as friends... Right?

“If you don’t have any plans tomorrow, I wondered if I could take you out for some coffee? Never really got a chance to say thank you for helping with my Elle”

Aren't u tired of the "Taika hates tom" thing? I don't think its tom. Taika just doesn't like the british

(Sorry anon, I started to answer this last week and then completely forgot about it until last night, bc I was thinking about Tom's apparent lack of attendance at the London Thor 4 premiere.)

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I don't think I ever got invested in any of the "does Taika like Tom y/n?" wank in the first place. I mean, I'm sure I've been snarky about it, but it's not something I gave a great deal of thought or speculation to.

There's a real issue of lack of ability to separate the person from the work, both in fandom and in life. This is not an issue that's limited to just one side of the wank or even just this fandom (I mean, the whole ideology of purity culture stems from the belief that one cannot separate reality from fiction and therefore fiction depicting Certain Things is inherently ~problematic~ and immoral, but that's another conversation), but it's an issue that is at the root of the "Taika vs. Tom" wank.

By that, what I mean is that my perception of Ragnarok is that Taika was, at best, dismissive of Loki as a character and, at worst, actively disliked him. His comments about Loki being a wannabe goth or emo space orphan or whatever, his "jokes" about Loki getting locked in a porta-potty, etc (deleted, but still scripted and filmed) are indicative, I feel, of an overall sense of disdain toward the character - perhaps coupled with a vested interest in actively making Thor look better to compensate for Loki overshadowing Thor in the previous films.

Now, whether or not Taika actually feels that way or if that's just, like, his sense of humor, man is impossible to say; all I can do is speculate based on the evidence presented (ie, the aforementioned comments and deleted scenes).

^^ This is just my opinion, I'm not asking anyone to agree with me or stating that these are definitive facts. What I'm saying, though, is that I am certainly not the only person to have this opinion and when viewing Taika's personal feelings behind-the-scenes through the "ugh, Loki" sort of lens he's put out there, it's very easy to fall into the assumption that Taika dislikes or hates Tom, or that Taika and his bff Chris were sort of "conspiring" against Tom to ensure he/Loki didn't steal the show again, etc. when that may not be the case at all.

We don't know. We don't know what these people's feelings are - we can parse things from what they say publicly, but even public statements are filtered for, yknow, consumption by the public and aren't necessarily 100% factual, either. Additionally, we don't know what happens behind-the-scenes, we don't know what happens in negotiations and what happens once the execs get their hands on the product or who's ultimately responsible for what, and how. And this is the case for all entertainment, not just the Thor franchise and not just Marvel.

When you're enmeshed in fandom, it's easy to let the lines between person and product get blurred; it's easy to get so invested in these people that we feel like we know them - we're on a "first name basis" irt how we refer to them, their lives and their work is on public display, and we are increasingly living in a world that wants to categorize everything as black or white. All of which makes wank like "Taika hates Tom" flourish. (And, incidentally, is what makes the anti "anyone involved with the Loki series" wank flourish in its spaces, as well, like for example how some people prefer to believe Mike Waldron or whomever made a shitty series bc he had a personal vendetta against Loki bc of Reasons, rather than believe what is more likely the truth: dude's a mediocre writer and part of a larger team that set out to explore the character in ways that are inconsistent with previous characterization [which is kind of the point, though, in that the whole premise is Loki as a variant; I digress] and regardless of the fans' emotional responses, the motivation is Not That Deep.)

Which was an awful lot of word vomit to basically say yes, I am tired of the "Taika hates Tom" thing but in my defense I didn't put much stock in it in the first place; however, I understand where it came from and why it's still a Thing in this fandom, so it just ... it is what it is.

As for Taika not liking the British, well, I'm pretty sure that's an entirely separate conversation but also, again, this is an assumption of Taika's feelings based on limited interpretation of his public words and action and whether or not it has any merit is anyone's guess.

Incidentally, all of that aside, no one has to like anyone else. Sometimes people just don't vibe and neither side is wrong for that. So make of that what you will, too.

Question and Answer Time: Part 2!

Okay, more question and answer things! This is for @august-emerald who tagged me somewhat recently. Sorry for taking so long! :) I’m putting it all below the cut so it doesn’t clutter my or anyone else’s dash if they aren’t interested. :)

What time did you wake up: A little after 7:00

Lemonade or sweet tea: Um, neither really. If I was going to go for one, I’d say pink lemonade

Day or night: Either really…just not morning…I am NOT a morning person.

Coke or pepsi: I collect Coca Cola memorabilia (or used to, not so much anymore) but I think I actually prefer Pepsi.

Call or text: Text, definitely text.

Met a celebrity: A couple at conventions (Matt Smith, Arthur Darvill, Karen Gillan, Norman Reedus, Sean Patrick Flannery, David Della Rocco, Stan Lee, Bruce Campbell, Vic Mignogna); some bands/band members (98 Degrees (I was in high school okay…)), Papa Roach and a bunch of others Warped Tour one year). Unfortunately I’ve never just “run into” a celebrity somewhere random, though I was almost positive I saw Katie Holmes and her daughter one day (I thought I was seeing things, but then my mom, who I was out shopping with, sidles up next to me and, shifting her eyes in their direction goes, IS THAT WHO I THINK IT IS? So who knows…maybe it WAS them…haha).

Smiles or eyes: Hmm. Both! I’m a sucker for a good smile AND gorgeous eyes.

Country or city: I like to live in the country but be close enough to visit the city.

Last song I listened to: Well, I’m not going to count the Disney Pandora station I have playing all day. The last song that was playing on my iTunes playlist was: Moth to a Light (by Better and the Boy). Side note – this is a song I got from a fan fiction play list (for, you guessed it, Riptide Lover).

1. If we could live on any planet, which one would you choose? Hmm. Maybe Pluto because I refuse to give up on it!

2. Favorite type of music/band? I like a lot of things…mostly pop/punk/rock type things. Not really into country. I like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Owl City, Colbie Callait, Blink 182, Eve6, Lit, Metallica, Maroon 5, Hawk Nelson. There’s more, but those are some of the big ones.

3. Favorite book or series? Lots! Probably the series I’m most obsessed with right now would include Percy Jackson, Maze Runner, Hunger Games, Harry Potter, that sort of thing. When I was younger, I read a book called The Only Alien on the Planet so many times I lost count.

4. piercings/tattoos? how many? No tattoos. 3 piercings in each ear currently. Used to have the cartilage in one ear and my belly button done, but I’ve taken those two out.

5. Play video games or watch movies? I used to play video games (Ratchet and Clank, Jack and Daxter) but now definitely watch movies.

6. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? I’d love to go to Greece and Egypt. I’ve done a small amount of traveling (mostly in groups with school) but I’ve never been to either of those.

7. If you had to be a mythical creature, what would you be? A unicorn. No question. I’ve always been obsessed with them since I was a little kid.

8. Celebrity crush? Oh lord. Ethan Embry was always Number One when I was younger (he follows me on Twitter ironically, even though I am the most inactive person on Twitter). These days it would probably be Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston (though after his fling with Taylor Switft I was really turned off for some reason), Bo Burnham (because he is hilarious and it makes him adorable to me), Chris Pratt. There are more, I just can’t think.

9. Favorite dessert? Anything chocolate and/or peanut butter and/or s’more.

10. Sex or money? LOL It depends on the situation??

11. (ok really laaame noodles for this last one) When did you join tumblr and why? I didn’t become active on Tumble until very recently….within the last 6 months or so I think. It was basically due to Sherlock. I became obsessed with it after watching this summer, and no one in my “real life” watches Sherlock, or reads fanfiction, or really fans-out over things like I do. I was tired of not having anyone to go crazy with so Tumblr seemed like the right place to go!

“Four days before our trip! It’s almost here!”

The morning of the flight is not good

Four am your alarm goes off

This is not fun

He wakes up fine bc he’s used to early flights and stuff

But you’re not happy

He tries to wake you up and is so soft about it

“Babyyyyy it’s time to get up! It’s finally the day!”

He strokes your face and whispers in your ear but you don’t move so he just carries you to the car

The flight goes okay, but he’s the one to fall asleep on you

You have to drag him through the airport

“Babe, you gotta go through security alone.”

“But come with me!”

“It’s an alone thing baby.”

You guys get an uber to the little cabin you booked for the five day vacation

It’s amazing

And the first thing you do?

“Nap?”

“Nap.”

You wake up at about five in the afternoon so Tom books a fanci restaurant

Nice dinner ack

The next day is your designated lazy day

You lounge around in six blankets and heavy jackets with hot chocolate

Watching dumb movies that are free for a reason

It’s only on the third day that you leave the living room

And it’s to go to the Jacuzzi

“See? Told you babe.”

“nOt another word Holland.”

The fourth day is your sightseeing day

You book a whale watching tour

No whales are watched

But you do see a few seals and they’re cute so it’s fine this is fine 

You also go on some glacier but neither of you can remember the name of it so whoops

“Y/N, if I take a chunk of ice home, am I stealing?”

“You’re stupid.”

“What?! Why?!”

“How are you gonna get part of a glacier home without it melting?”

“Oh…”

Fifth and last day is your shopping day before leaving the next morning

“Babe look at this cute matching jacket set!!!!”

“Tom, only if you’re buying.”

“Of course love.”

You buy something for every one of your friends and family members 

At least one thing per person

“Do you think your mum would like this knife?”

“Wtf”

The flight back is so sad

And halfway through

“Oh god Y/N I left my favorite left sock at the resort!”

You both fall asleep on each other and the flight attendants have to wake you up

tbh my little sister is an ok kid- she’s nicer than a lot of kids I know (probably because my mom is super strict when it comes to manners and being kind/polite to others) and is super adorable at times. But, like everyone else, she has her bratty moments XD She has a bad habit of sulking sometimes over little things and then she just starts whining in a way that completely drains anyone who has to listen to her. She also refuses to compromise when she’s sulking so. Yeah. Really frustrating LOL

My parents actually bought the books for me because they were interested in reading the series too, but idk.

I recently realized that FMA has a lot of Rising Sun Flag designs in it, and that’s considered offensive over here (probably in China too) because it’s associated with Japanese Imperialism (which was pretty ugly). Not sure why it was used in FMA because FMA seems to be all against war and violence, but I guess the artist, like most Japanese people, just doesn’t know what the Rising Sun Flag is associated with in other countries…

I talked about my mom with it and she’s fine with me reading FMA as long as I know what I’m doing, but I don’t think she’ll really want to read it herself anymore.

Ok that looks horrible for my feelings. I love it. I’ll have to find a way to watch that over here! :D

I think one of the problems is that sometimes writers are so desperate to make ‘strong’, ‘likable’ characters that they overdo it…

Yep, Killua is the cutie with the fluffy white hair! :) He’s not my favorite out of the main four (that’s either Gon or Leorio), but he’s pretty good. Killua is the youngest, most talented Zoldyck kid who’s probably going to be chosen as the heir once his parents die, but he doesn’t want to. The thing that makes Killua different from Illumi and his other siblings is that he hates his training and really doesn’t want to grow up to be an assassin, and that’s why he ran away from home at the start of the series.

I’m not sure if it was changed for the translation or before the publication. In the anime and in the manga I’ve read, he was tied around that huge stone.

All this talk about HxH is making me wanna watch it, but it has more than 140 episodes and I’m really not the person for long anime (which is rich, considering I’ve watched all Fairy Tail episodes, and there’ like 277 of those. Tbh, it kinda makes sense to me for Illumi to be the most messed up one, since he’s the oldest and has been under their influence for the longest, not to mention parents tend to be hardest on their oldest kids, but still. Yep, it’s not bad ^^ But it’s always a tiny bit better if the colors are as similar as possible. The Olivier one was probably the best one yet, since it mostly sticks with blue-grey! YEEEE I AM SO EXCITED!!! Omg, but I need to tell you about my dream that I had the night after watching the trailer. So my family is having some kind of Christmas gathering and I come downstairs to greet everyone and boom! There, on the couch, sitting next to my sister and explaining the process of making a movie, is Tom Hiddleston. Apparently, he was my really distant cousin?? Which made me really confused?? And I wanted to ask him a few questions about Ragnarok, but I was too damn shy, even though my sister had right about 0 problems talking to him,  and I was quite jealous actually =3=  According to my dream, they had to climb up some mountain by themselves to film it.  It was McFreaking weird.

But still TT^TT HIS FABULOUS HAIR!! I’ll never get over it….

Iron Man 2 is on! Well, I’m not watching it anymore XD I’m not gonna see the last 30 mins, cause i’m switching the channel, since Sherlock (the TV show) begins shortly. I’ll probably watch the rest of Iron Man some other day ^^

Ah, also, I'm afraid I won't be able to answer for a week... unfortunately, I won't have access to a laptop, so =3= i could probably answer asks though ^^
