TRANS HP RECLIST BY TRANS PEOPLE

With the collective effort of many wonderful people on the Magical Trans discord server, we created a trans Harry Potter reclist by trans people!

Any type of media, ships, ratings and HP characters were allowed, the restriction being that it had to include a trans main character!

S.Q.U.A.D by @themischiefmanagers | TheMischiefManagers (Trans Teddy Lupin (and many more), Teddy Lupin/Victoire Weasley, Video Series on YouTube) What @samyistrying loved about it: The YouTube Channel TheMischiefManagers is like a goldmine! They made multiple Cosplay YouTube Video Series with different HP characters (the marauders era (wolfstar!), golden trio (drarry!), and more) and all of them are MASTERPIECES! S.Q.U.A.D. is their take on Queerness in the HP World. It's incredibly educational, funny, heartwarming and so so important! Oh, and freaking relatable! They did an incredible job in conveying such a complex topic in a nuanced and fun way. It's so great! Also, it's by queer/trans people about queer/trans people and that is FELT! They have since stopped making new videos but their channel will always be one of the greatest treasures within the fandom! Check it out! Summary: Follow Teddy Lupin and Vicky Weasley as they take on outdated traditions at Hogwarts and create their own (not so secret) rebellious group called SQUAD - Sourcerous Queers United Against Discrimination! “Is there a name you’d like me to call you?” by @upthehillart (Trans Harry Potter, Trans Remus Lupin, Digital Art) What @samyistrying loved about it: upthehillart has quite a few trans HP artworks (I could die for her NSFW ones) and she's obviously an iconic artist within the fandom, so what's not to love? I chose this particular artwork because it's such a wonderful and sweet moment between Harry & Remus and I'm probably not the only one who needed to hear (/read) Remus' words. (I might've teared up but don't tell anyone). I need to end this praise with a quote: "Never forget that there will always be people that accept us in our most truest.” (ugly crying again) Tags/Warnings: nothing, just wholesomeness

Magical Metamorphosis by Eon_the_Dragon_Mage (Trans Female Harry Potter, 160k words, General) What the reccer loved about it: Holly’s journey through it all is really lovely (even if it does include some bad stuff happening) Summary: Concerned when Hermione sleeps late, Harry decides to check on her and climbs the Gryffindor Girls' Stairs. This begins a journey of self-exploration and transition for Harry as she blossoms into her true self. Tags/Warnings: Depictions of abuse, dysphoria, transphobia, torture, death, mention of suicide, and descriptions of self harm

Not Forever (and that's okay) by doshu | @vdoshu (Everyone’s Trans, Fleur Delacour/Nymphadora Tonks/Bill Weasley, 900 words, General) What @piarelei loved about it: short, sweet and right to the feels. It's cozy, it hugs you softly, it feels right. I love a good sip of polyamory and I found that this little thing is a good bite of validation for those who need it. Summary: It’s a cold winter’s night, and Tonks is working the late shift. That means chimney cake, hot cocoa, and stories in front of the fire, while Bill and Fleur wait for their missing third to come home. The Measure of a Man by Acid | @ac1d6urn (Trans Male Harry Potter, Harry Potter/Severus Snape, 50k words, Explicit) What @temnurus (ao3) loved about it: This fic was an incredibly powerful look into Harry's mind during his transition. The relationships were rich and deep, and the feelings in this were both raw and immensely powerful. I related strongly to parts as a transmasculine nonbinary person, and the topic was covered honestly and thoroughly. Harry and Severus' characterizations were gorgeous, and the evolution of their relationship was stunning to watch. This is a must read for me. I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it. Summary: Several years after defeating Voldemort, Junior Auror Harry Potter discovers himself and, at the risk of losing his childhood love, follows the truth. Through it all, Snape is an unexpected solace. Will he become more? Harry and Snape's gender identities don't feel like a Plot Point but just another part of their story, a small piece of the beautiful jigsaw puzzle that is this fic. Summary: In the summer of 1998, three wizards come to terms not only with still being alive, but with a new life-changing discovery: a soulmate mark. Shapeless, colourless, painless. Like a drop of watered down ink. A story about falling in love, healing, and reconnecting with a sense of self. It was my ultimate egg moment of "oh shit this could be me?" and it's my favourite work to re-read. Also it's an emotional gut-punch. Also features moodboards & fanart!! (Art by Lu Endland | @luendland ) Summary: In which two boys kiss and everything falls apart. A story told over a decade of encounters, where a body feels like a graveyard and another like a battlefield, and names are whispered tenderly until they feel real. Summary: Remus Lupin has more than one secret, and there’s no way of knowing who he can trust. All he has are his parents, but they can’t protect him when he goes off to Hogwarts. But then Remus meets a boy and his two other friends, and soon realises that some secrets can’t be kept forever. Description: You and your boyfriend Clint go to comic con in cosplay together after being together for 5 months

You were excited to go to comic con for the day along with your boyfriend Clint who had never been before as well as meeting up with some of your friends and a few of Clint's to hang out and spend the day together. You had been going to comic cons for years not only as an avid nerd but cosplayer as well,cosplaying different characters each time ranging in wide variety from Jennifer Jareau, Rachel Green, Liara T'soni, and Black Canary to Sara Sidle, Claire Redfield, Nymphodora Tonks, and Padme Amidala to name few you have done over the years. Clint had seen some of your cosplays sometimes being in the same room as you get in and out of doing a cosplay,he wondered about cosplaying and what it would be like asking questions whenever he could, when you came up to him smiling real big looking so excited showing an upcoming comic con in your local town in 3 weeks, he at first was hesitant but after convincing, deciding who to cosplay, and getting your costumes together he became excited as you were for the con,watching videos of comic cons to get a feel of how big they can get. The night before comic con the two of pre pack your bag of snacks, money to spend, drinks, extra clothes, and pain relievers just in case then heading to bed setting alarms to get up to have enough time to get awake, eat, and get ready an hour before the con starts, you wake up 17 minutes before the alarms so you slowly get awake, shower, and make breakfast for you and clint, just as you get breakfast on the table the alarms go off waking clint up as you pour coffee for the two of you. You slowly eat as clint comes out of the bathroom after getting awake sitting across from you drinking coffee and eating breakfast before getting ready, after eating you turn on music as you get ready in separate rooms for the element of surprise, walking out of the bathroom you see clint walk out of your room smiling as he looked so happy being dressed up as James Bond turning around looking at you dressed as Madeline Swann "Damn look at you" he says as you roll your eyes and laugh grabbing your bags going to the car checking to make sure you have everything the two of you need, leaving the house you see texts from your friends as clint drives smiling as your friends send pictures of their cosplays telling you how far they are from the con or if they are already there waiting for everyone else. After stopping for a quick bathroom stop and gas stop you make it to the con and park seeing 2 of your friends Natalie dressed as Leia Organa and Tommy dressed as Warren Worthington outside as you hug them and they say hi to clint as the 4 of you walk in together immediately seeing clint in awe of everything you walk by seeing the rest of your group with your friends Kyle dressed as Spike Spiegel, Lydia as Oerba Dia Vanille, and jake as Neo/Thomas Anderson and Clint's friends Kate as Boo/Mary Gibbs and Natasha as Poison Ivy. "Look at you double 07" nat says smiling at you and clint "And you got a sexy lady to complete" she says as you both laugh then all of you walking together checking the small booths of merchandise being sold, going into panels of your favorite tv show casts, movie announcements, and cosplayers, taking pictures with fellow cosplayers/fans, plus not only meeting but becoming friends with other cosplayers and fans at the con, all of you leave a few hours later meeting up at a restaurant still dressed in cosplay for dinner together taking more videos and photos as you all have fun before calling it a night and going home, you and clint go in your shared home laughing together going to the bathroom then changing into sleep clothes laying in bed watching Tv "That was awesome let's do it again" clint says wrapping his arms around your waist kissing each other "Absolutely i love you" you say laying your head on his chest falling asleep says i love you back before falling asleep himself having had one of the best days of his life other than meeting you,being together, and your future together.

9. What calms you down?

Usually, listening to music does the trick. Hans Zimmer's music, to be precise. Most of the time, it's this gem that gets blasted through my eardrums until I'm either calm or crying my feelings out:

10. What's something you're excited for?

Good question... My next holiday to London in summer? I'm taking my Dad, who turned 60 last week. He hasn't been to the UK for seven years, even though he loves it, so I'm taking him in a little father-daughter trip. Can't wait! :D

13. What's your comfort food?

Anything that I can cook that empties my head while making it. Usually it's waterzooi (Belgian girl over here) because I LOVE IT.

(Although, I'll admit, when I feel particularly shitty, NOTHING can beat a good portion of Belgian chips. <3 )

14. Favourite feel-good show?

The IT Crowd. I can quote it my heart and yet I'll laugh as if it's the first time all over again. I LOVE THOSE IDIOTS!

24. What's something you do to de-stress?

I listen to Hans Zimmer or Sigur Ròs; I dance; I write.

26. What move would you want to live in?

THE LORD OF THE RINGS!!! I know as a woman I wouldn't have a lot to do or say, but with Eowyn by my side, I'd be up to shaking things up a bit (and snatching Faramir from her hands, sorry darling). XD

(Also, I'd get up to shenanigans with those two bitches because they are the BEST.)

27. Which character would you want to be?

I've always been OBSESSED with Tonks from Harry Potter, because she made it alright to be clumsy, different-looking, a bit cookie, quirky, loud and...depressed, heart-broken and loyal. I LOVE HER.

(Which is why I often cosplay her at ComicCon.)

31. Which kind of fandom trope is your daily litre of water?

Too many to count. XD But since I'm binge-reading some Sterek at the moment, I'd say the 'mates' trope is always a go-to. And I'm a proud believer in the supremacy of 'idiots in love'. XD Also, Enemies to Lovers slaps!

Currently Feeling Like The Worst Person Alive

Rant post ahead, skip if you don't like sad/angry pouting.

This is my beautiful princess, Tonks. She's about 7 years old and is the most pampered baby I've ever had. She's also my first long-term cat, as before I'd only fostered a few.

She's always been a bit delicate, specifically regarding her health(little colds all the time, possibly allergies), but never anything serious...at least until the last year or so. A few months ago, she got a hematoma(swelling of the ear) that required a cannula(drain tube/surgery), and these past few weeks we've been dealing with a combination UTI/ear mites situation.

Luckily at her checkup, the ear mites seems to be taken care of, although the UTI came back after getting back from the appointment(was worried she had a blockage this time, but the pee -did- come out eventually, just took her a few tries).

So you may be wondering why I feel like a horrible person because of this? Well, it's because she also has shitty teeth and needs a deep cleaning/possible extraction...but of course it's going to cost over $700 dollars. Those who know me, and maybe those who don't can probably guess that I don't have that kind of money. I had to beg help from my parents just to cover the antibiotics/checkup(about $200 including vet fees for current issues, nearly $400 last year for the cannula).

I feel horrible because they've told me a few times over the years that her teeth weren't great and she'd probably need to have them cleaned. And because of the cost, I just keep putting it off, hoping that someday things would turn around financially and I'd be able to get her the help that she needs.

This has not happened yet...but I'm still hoping. She hasn't really been eating much the last few weeks, possibly because of the stress of medicine/appointments/uti pain...but her shitty teeth probably cause her pain every day too.

So here are my options:

1: Commissions: My primary source of income, and preferred method if I'm being honest. Cosplay costumes, dresses, purses, hell I've even done a few plushies now. If it's sewn, I can probably make it, and I use Paypal mostly(invoicing system allows for payment plans), but I also accept CashApp, Stripe, and a few others I can't remember. You can contact me about this in any form you wish. Tumblr message, IG, FB, email, anything except phone call(I don't have a 'business line', just a personal phone).

2: Patreon- I don't post newd stuff, but I do occasionally do tease things, but only for the higher tiers. I have a whole bunch of stuff planned to add to this if it ever actually gains traction, but for now I just post a set of pics(cosplay/casual/sometimes boudoir) once a week.

3: Donations- My least favorite, but possibly has the highest potential? I don't use GFM because they are greedy bastards that abuse the shit out of desperate people, so instead I use Ko-Fi(and CashApp too I guess?) If you don't wanna pay monthly, and don't have the funding for fancy-custom-made garments, but still want to help, this is the way to go. I also have a handful of digital patterns here as well, which I guess is a way to donate while still getting something back.

Sorry this griping ended up so long. I like to type when I'm extra frustrated and depressed, and I know Tumblr isn't the best place for money-raising, but I honestly just don't have the energy to attempt building a following anywhere else. I've been on IG for 8-10 years and still haven't hit 500 followers, so I just don't think I'm one of those people that flourishes in the spotlight.

Still, for the sake of my sweet little princess(I also have a dog with recently-developed seizures, and the other cat Cirilla is fine on health but just recently added to the bills with vaccine updates), I will keep trying until my dying breath.
