Decided to make a collage of how I make my moon water and salt spray! I use it all the time for cleansing my room. Keeps out the negativity of both spirits and just negative energy.

I use sea salt but I’ve used table salt before. I use whatever I have on hand. Always works well every time!

Also I like cleansing with the night air because it’s free and pretty easy, especially as I’m a spoonie. You can use other things like filling it with moon water and shaking it, then dumping it, but I feel it’s a waste of my stash.

I made a new batch tonight because the stuff I had felt off and it’s old. Anyway, here you go! Hope it helps someone.

Ocean Spell for Cleansing the Soul

You’ll Need:

A glass jar with a lid

July 22nd was sacred to Neptune, the God of the sea. Since this is when many people visit the beach, it is also a perfect time to do a bit of spiritual cleansing in the ocean. After all, the sea contains not only salt, which is associated with purification, but also moving water, which can carry metaphysical baggage away from you. Do this spell at sunrise, or as close to low tide as possible. If you can, time it for the week after the full moon.

Stand barefoot in the sand, along the water line. Close your eyes, and consider all the things that are weighing you down. What aspects of your life are draining you of your spirit? These things need to go away. Imagine these issues trickling slowly out of your body, from your head down to your toes. Let the water rush over your feet, as the tide ebbs and flows, picturing it drawing your problems away with it, carrying them far out to sea.

When you feel refreshed, as though the ocean has cleansed your soul, slowly count to 9, then fill your glass jar with water. Take the water home with you, and if you need a bit of boost later, drizzle the water over your toes in the bathtub, and send your problems down the drain.

How to use Moon Water ⋆˖⁺‧₊☽◯☾₊‧⁺˖⋆

Put it in humidifier/diffuser to cleanse your room

Water your plants with it

Use it to clean

Drink it (only if your tap water is clean! Search up water purity in your city on google to check! If not, make some moon water with distilled water to drink it!)

Add it to a bath

Cleanse your crystals (not all are water safe, so if you want to cleanse a crystal with moon water without having to put it in, i find just putting it next to the jar is good too)

Write sigils with it (good for witches in the broom closet)

Put in a spray bottle and spritz yourself with it

Sprinkle, spray, or trace it along anything that needs extra protection or love.

Add it to baking

Add to watercolor

Use in spells!

the meaning behind the kanji of mizu and taigen's names is literally not ever gonna leave my mind.

like are you kidding me. mizu is 水 ("water"), we all know that. but what drives me insane is that taigen is 泰源 ("peaceful origin").

so when you put them together ("tai" 泰 + "mizu" 水), you literally get "peaceful water."

MIZU ALONE IS JUST MIZU, BUT PUT TAIGEN NEXT TO HER AND IT'S MIZU, BUT AT PEACE.

ALSO, both "tai" 泰 and "gen" 源 contain the "mizu" 水 character as a radical. for those unfamiliar with japanese or even chinese, a radical basically means a building block for another character; so in this case, the kanji for "tai" and "gen" both use the kanji for "mizu" as one of their building blocks.

this is also why, while "gen" 源 can refer to any general type of origin or source, it also specifically refers to a fountainhead: a source of water, or the origin of a river or stream.

and like yeah okay i know that it's a 99.9% chance that the creators didn't even think about any of this. but STILL. the brainworms have fully taken over and i am going CRAZY.
