You punch the punching bag in a series of combinations. Sweat dripping from your head and y/h/c hair. You’re the only one in the gym right now, but you knew that would change. You had a standing sparing appointment with your favorite super soldier.

Everyone in the tower thought it was weird that you and Bucky remained such good friends. You both dated for 3 years, and were hot and heavy. You realized the last six months, of your relationship, Bucky was pulling away from you. It broke your heart; so you decided distance yourself also, in preparation of him breaking up with you. You couldn't take the stress of waiting for him to break it off, so you begrudgingly did it. It completely killed you, but he didn't seem ultimately ruined, and you both decided to continue just being friends.

You were nervous that it would be awkward, but it wasn’t. You were just happy he was still in your life. You know you still loved him, but sometimes that's not enough. You were obviously not enough. That thought runs through your mind as you punch. You shake your thoughts from your head as you heard the gym doors close behind you.

“Tiring yourself out before I even get a chance to beat you fairly, doll?”

You turned around and see Bucky walking over the the bench to place his water and towel down. He's wearing navy blue basketball shorts that hung perfectly low on his hips, and as usual, no shirt. You couldn’t help admire the beautiful specimen in front of you.

Bucky laughed. “Can’t wait.”

You both walk over the bench to grab a drink. You wipe your face with your towel when you hear the doors to the gym. Nat walks over to you both. “Hey guys!” She says smiling. 

“Hey Nat, you still up for shopping later?” you ask.

“Absolutely! Meet me in the common room at 1?” She asks.

You nod as you take a drink. You start walking out of the gym when you notice Nat and Bucky give each other knowing smirk and whispering to each other. It makes you feel uneasy, but ignore it as you head out to shower.

Later that day, you and Nat are shopping at the local mall. You sit outside the changing room as Nat tries on a new red dress. She comes out and looks in the mirror, turning at different angles to admire herself. You can’t help but notice how gorgeous she is. The dress fits her curves perfectly.

“Oh Nat, you definitely need to get that!” You say with a smile.

“Yeah, I think I will. It will be absolutely perfect.” She said as she turns and looks over the shoulder to see how it looks.

“Perfect for what?” You ask.

Nat looks at you through the mirror. You can see she looks… nervous? She turns toward you and gives you a small smile. “Bucky asked me out on a date. We've been hanging out a lot lately, and we wanted to finally give dating a try.”

Your jaw and stomach dropped. You can already feel the tears forming, but you internally yell at yourself to keep it together. You knew you weren't good enough. You would never be enough! You take a deep breath and close your eyes for a moment, willing the tears to disappear. When you open you see Nat still looking at you, waiting for your reaction.

“U-uh, wow! I, um, I-I didn’t know you guys… were…were talking.”

You cringe at your shaking voice. Nat looks at you with minimal sympathy in her eyes, which pisses you off. You didn't understand how this happened. Nat knew what happened between you and Bucky, as she was your best friend. You confided in her about everything, including that you are still in love with him. And now you learn she has been moving in on him and they are going on a date?!

“It wasn’t a planned thing. I swear, and I'm sorry I didn’t tell you. I know should've, but I’m…” She trails off, looking down at her hands. You have never seen her look so nervous. 

“You’re what, Natalia?” You say slowly standing, getting angrier.

She looks at you. “I’m falling for him, hard. And he told me that he's falling for me too.”

She might as well had slapped you in the face. You grab your bags without saying another word and left. You ignore her calls for you. You finally let the tears come down your face as you head out to grab a cab to head back to the tower.

You try to control yourself as you ride the elevator up to the residential floors of the tower. As soon as you walk out, you see him with a concerned look on his face. You figured Nat called him and told him what happened, but you couldn’t deal with him right now. Just looking at him caused the tears to come down. You quickly turn and head to your room.

“Y/N, please. Don’t run away from me,” You hear him call.

You try and outrun him, but he was so much faster. Before you even got a chance to close the door, he pushed his way into your room.

“Get out!” You scream.

He looks devastated. You've never yelled at him, even when you guys fought when you were together. “Y/N, please. Talk to me,” he begs.

He was so confused by your reaction. You're the one who broke his heart. He was ready to marry you and then was told that you wanted to end things with him. It crushed him, so he distanced himself, hoping to ease the pain. You eventually did end it, and asked to be friends. He didn’t fight it because he was hoping you would change your mind. He has been miserable for months, pretending to be friends with you, when all he wanted is to be with you.

Nat helped him by being there and listening to him whine about how much he missed you. He opened up to her about feeling like he wasn't enough, and she showed him that he was enough for her. He couldn’t help but start developing feelings. Nat was the only one who knew how he felt about you, but is still willing to try with him. Willing to help him move on from you.

“Please….” he whispered, on the verge of tears.

A sob escapes your lips. “Buck… why? Why Nat? Why my best friend?”

You knew it didn’t matter who he was dating, but you needed to know why her. He shook his head, sniffing. 

“When you broke up with me, I-I was miserable. I didn’t know what to do. Nat was there, and she let me confide my feelings to her. As time went on, I started to develop feelings. I…. I didn’t think you would care! You didn’t want to be with me! You were the one who wanted to be friends! I’m sorry, but I didn't think you'd care," he said the last part in a whisper as he silently cried.

You were confused as you took in what he said. He was miserable? I broke his heart? He didn't want to break up? He confided in Nat, while you also confided in Nat? You look at him in shock. He was confused by your reaction. 

“I… I don’t understand. You became distant, which is why I broke up with you. I thought you didn’t want me anymore; that I wasn't enough for you. I thought us being friends was better than losing you all together.” You said. Bucky stares at you confused. “Nat… Nat talked to you about us?” You asked, and Bucky silently nodded. 

Betrayed. That was the word that went through your mind. Your so-called best friend knew that both you and Bucky still loved each other, but kept it quiet so she could take him. You couldn’t believe it! Bucky obviously didn’t realize what was happening either.

“I…. I need to think.” Bucky said, leaving you alone in your room.

You couldn’t move. All you kept thinking was that there was miscommunication somewhere between you and Bucky, and neither of you actually wanted to break up. Nat knew this, but kept it quiet and made a move on Bucky. But why did Bucky become distant in the first place? There are so many questions in your head that you can barely think straight. You had to get to the bottom of this, somehow.

- And after a good WEEK of getting mixed signals from both of them you’re ready to stay your ass at home for the rest of the vacation before it’s back to work

- Monday morning Rin invites you on a morning run

- Which you obviously say fuck NO to bc the sun ain’t even up

- But he shows up to your front door at the asscrack of dawn telling you to get dressed you have no say in the matter unfortunately

- The jog isn’t so bad and he has the decency to buy you breakfast afterwards so that’s nice

- Decent conversation surprisingly

- When he drops you off back at your home he kisses you before literally sprinting off

- He was working up the nerve to do that all morning

- Can’t even say thanks or whatever yet before he presses his body close to you and lifts your head to slot his lips against yours

- Puts all his feelings into that kiss before managing to get out “bye” before his throat completely closes up

- And then sprints off before you can even blink

- Clown

- Giggling and kicking his feet when he gets home

- Sae is packing for his trip back to Spain at the end of the week

- When he catches you leaving his house after another Rin spontaneous all day movie marathon

- Offers to drive you home because it’s dark and he remembers the address

- Didn’t really offer so much as grab his Keys complaining about how you know better than to be outside this late

- Sir 🫤🫤

- The ride is kinda tense until he forces a conversation

- Unsurprisingly e vividly remembers all the right buttons to press to see that smile he’s been dying to see

- Don’t even notice he took the long way back to your home

- Puts his new number in your phone and tells you to stop being stubborn and answer when he texts you

- He’s a gentleman before all else so he walks you right to your front door

- Man barely hears a word you said before pulling you closer by your neck pressing his lips to yours

- Remembers you like the back of his hand the way his lips fit so familiar with yours

- Ends up with your arms around his neck and your back pressed into the front door

- Clearly wanting to come inside he pulls away because he’s fond of the chase🙄😒

- Wishes you a good night before kissing your forehead and going back to his car

Small Details I Noticed:

as t’challa was being carried to the city of the dead after the funeral two wakandan ships cross in the sky like they’re doing the wakandan salute

when ramonda meets with the united nations she wears purple and gold symbolizing how she’s “taking care of business” like killmonger

the color red is associated with tradition in wakanda and everything new is associated with the color the blue and blue typically is associated with what element? water

aneka and ayo are so cute 😙

the shift from background music to it being diegetic sirens was masterful

i couldn’t figure out why namor said shuri was the first surface dweller in talokan but he had a suit. then i realized duh it was from the start of the movie 🥴

Why does no one go for the Talokanil masks

t’challa falls in love with a river tribe girl, ramonda finds comfort by sources of water I don’t find it coincidental at ALL her whole family has ties to water.

every time he issues a threat Namor is looking at Ramonda but when he sets the shell down to ask them to call? he looks at shuri.

shuri wears white while she’s working in her lab because she’s still in a mourning period.

shuri’s tribe wears red namor is represented(partially) by blue and what color does shuri wear when she’s taken to his domain? purple.

N’Jadaka TOLD YALL ramonda gave her life to save riri. (doesn’t justify namor’s actions but don’t take away her agency)

shuri’s panther ears on her helmet point down like she’s ready to pounce whereas t’challa’s pointed up showing he was docile

shuri’s actions fully show us namor’s origin and how he ends up as adamant and stubborn as he is. their hatred turned them into warmongers shuri is just able to stop herself before she does something truly irreversible.

namor is such a loser he really thought shuri was finna call him on his shellphone.

in the midst of everything she remembers holding hands with namor as they watched the sunrise…hm.

Random Thoughts I Had During the Movie:

That chairman who introduced Ramonda was fine as hell

That french lady shook her head like her men ain’t break into that lab that’s wild.

Attuma’s first entrance (on the ship) had me grinning from ear to ear like “HEY BIG DADDY!”

Namor can really be brutal as fuck. The way those agents were screaming as their helicopter was spun into the ocean was scary as hell! (i’m still on his side tho ✋🏾🫱🏾liik’ik talokan)

Nakia’s funeral outfit is beautiful

i will fully admit that the beauty of tenoch blinded me to namor’s brutality. that man is vicious.

Final Thoughts:

I really love this movie obviously but i think Tenoch being hot kinda blinded me to how cruel Namor can really be. Cause the whole time i’m thinking, he’s hot and he’s right i’m on his side. In general he doesn’t use excessive force and he gives people ample opportunities to stop fucking with him before he really goes off tho.

I still stick with my assessment that Namor isn’t a villain and you’ve missed the point if you think he is, that his actions weren’t justified but i understand he needs to protect his people so it’s not without reason.

I don’t understand why people think shuri shouldn’t have been the black panther okoye is in the dora, nakia is a spy who else was gonna be the panther?

i don’t know exactly why but this movie excites me and i am growing to love it more than any other marvel movie. this is most likely the last time ill see it in theatres since i don’t want to make myself bored with it but i’m really thankful to ryan and co for putting this out they did chad justice

NOVEMBER 8TH 2020

“So you took her out on a date?” Josh groaned at Trinity’s question. He knew there had to be a reason she had called him on facetime at 8 am. “That's so cute.” 

“It wasn’t a date - wait she said it was a date?”  

“No.” 

“Good,” he said, slightly disappointed.  “Because it wasn’t” Trinity rolled her eyes with a scoff. 

“So what do you call it?” Josh bit the inside of his cheek and shrugged. 

“I mean, you the one who said she didn’t think I liked her, so I took her out to get to know her.” 

“But you do like her, right?” Josh rolled his eyes. 

“It’s eight a.m. Trin, I’m going back to sleep.” 

“Wait Josh-” He hung up the phone before she could say anything else. Before he went back to sleep he texted his brother telling him to get his nosey ass wife. 

“So he took you on a date?” Airielle groaned and threw a pillow at her cousin’s head. 

“It wasn’t a date. He wants to be friends so we went out and got to know each other.” She paused. “As friends.” Yasmine rolled her eyes. 

“As friends?” Airielle nodded. “Bitch please. I saw the way he was looking at you when we were at Trinity’s house.” 

“And what about the way Joe was looking at you?” Airielle said, trying to get herself out of the hot seat. 

“Mmmhmm” Yasmine hummed with a smirk. “And unlike you. Imma act on my desires. Gave him my number, just waiting for him to text me first.” Yasmine said winking at Airielle. “Back to you though,” Airielle groaned and threw herself back on her bed and pulled the covers over her.

“There is no back to me.” She said her voice muffled from her blanket. 

“That friends thing is bullshit and you know it.” Was the only think Yasmine said before getting up off her bed and walking out the room. 

Airielle paused her movie when her phone vibrated with an incoming message. 

Incoming text from Josh Fatu: sup, you up?

Airielle stared at the text message. Sup? Was he serious? 

To Josh Fatu: Yeah. Good morning to you too. 

Incoming text from Josh Fatu: lol my bad airielle noelle , good morning ❤️ To Josh Fatu:  i knew i should've never told u my middle name.

“Friends my ass.” Yasmine said as she read the messages over Airielle’s shoulder. Airielle rolled her eyes and locked her phone. “He sent a heart emoji Airi.” 

Airielle threw her arms up. “We send each other heart emojis all the time.” 

“Because we love each other, duh.” Yasmine smirked and looked down at Airielle’s phone when it vibrated. “You gon get that?” They made eye contact and lunged for the phone at the same time with Yasmine grabbing it a second before Airielle did. 

Incoming text from Josh Fatu: u wanna go to breakfast? 

“Girl go get dressed, he’s coming to get you.” Yasmine said as she sent Josh the address to their place. “Dinner and a breakfast date. Friends my ass.” Airielle rolled her eyes and snatched her phone from Yasmin's hand and walked in her room to try to find something to wear. 

When she came out of her room fully dressed Yasmine immediately shook her and pushed Airielle back towards her room. “Hell no. That is not sexy.” Airielle threw her arms up and scoffed. 

“It's breakfast, Yas. It’s not a date.” She said as there was a knock at their front door. She frowned and turned towards Yasmine who shrugged with a smirk. 

“I gave him the code to the front door.” She narrowed her eyes at Yasmine before opening the door. She let out a chuckle when she noticed they were almost wearing the same thing.  He had on a black Nike shirt that he had cut the sleeves off of and a part of black Nike sweatpants with white Air Forces. And a gold chain around his neck.  He looked good as fuck. 

“Hey.” Josh said with a wide smile. “You ready?” She nodded and closed the door. They were silent on the ride down the elevator. She could tell Josh was nervous because he kept fidgeting which confused her because why would he be nervous hanging out with a friend? 

She groaned inwardly as she thought about Yasmine’s words from earlier. She and Josh were just friends  and nothing more. 

“Oh I got these for you.” He said as he stopped at a red light and reached in the backseat. Her eyebrows raised in surprise as he handed her a small bouquet of roses. 

“You got me flowers?” She said grinning as she closed her eyes and smelled them. “Thank you.” She smiled over at him. 

“You welcome.” He said licking his lips as the butterflies in his stomach intensified. “I uh, Some guy was selling them on the side of the road. So I got them for you.” He lied, He actually went to a flower shop and spent way too much time trying to find the right bouquet for her. 

“Josh, your family is like wrestling royalty. That’s gotta be so intimidating.” Airielle said, staring wide eyed at him after he just finished going over his family tree with her.  Breakfast was going great. He had taken her to one of his favorite diners that his mom used to take him and his brothers to growing up. 

She had told him about her family and how it was growing up with two protective older brothers and a younger brother who acted like he was in charge all the time. They were legit having a good time. 

Josh shrugged with a smile on his face. “I mean it is intimidating but I think me and Jon are doing the family justice.” 

“I mean duh,” She said, making eye contact with him. “Y'all six time tag team champs, that’s impressive as fuck.” Josh had to  look down at the table to hide his kool-aid grin.

It’s been two weeks since Josh took Airielle out to breakfast and since then they’ve talked everyday. It started with just good morning text everyday then went to him Facetiming her after his morning workouts to talking on the phone until one of them fell asleep at night. 

Somewhere in the past two weeks Airielle had started to realize that she actually liked Josh. Not just as a friend. So when he tried to Facetime her that morning, she ignored it and all of the text messages he sent her that day.

She was freaking out. She was scared to tell Yasmine about her feelings for Josh cause she knew her cousin would just gloat and Airielle did not want to hear that. 

“Damn, I did something to you?”  Airielle looked up from the table into Josh’s eyes and bit her lip at the sad look in his eyes. “Why you ignoring me Airielle?” 

She sighed and leaned back into her chair. “I’m not ignoring you Josh.” 

“Yeah? So why you ain’t call me back?”  She shrugged and looked back down at her plate, pushing the food around with her fork. 

“ I was busy.” She mumbled and he scoffed. 

“For two days? I thought-” He stopped himself and shook his head. “You know what, nevermind.”  He was about to get up from the table when his dad walked over to them. 

“Joshua! And Joshua’s friend.” Airielle forced a smile on her face as she  stood up to greet the Hall of Famer. 

“Hi, Airielle Jones. Nice to meet you.” She said, holding out her hand. Rikishi pushed her hand away and pulled her into a hug.

"I know who you are." Rikishi said, surprising Airielle.

Josh rolled his eyes when he dad gave him a thumbs up behind her back. 

“Aight, come dad. We gotta go.” Josh said, not giving Airielle a second glance before he started to walk away. Rikishi tried to apologize for his son but Airielle waved him off. 

“It’s fine. It was nice to meet you though.” She said giving him one last hug before throwing away her trash and walking out of catering, in the opposite direction Josh had gone.

Criminal Minds Masterlist

Spencer Reid often came home dejected after a case gone wrong, it was often that he came home tired but happy after a successful case. It wasn’t often, however, that he came home excited for a break; but then again he hadn’t had a boyfriend to come home to on previous breaks. Now, as you watch him walk through the front door of your shared apartment, you can’t help but grin at the absolutely goofy look on his face.

“Emily gave us all 4 weeks off to rest after our latest case, so that means I get four WHOLE weeks of you to myself! Isn’t that great?” He lets out a giggle after he finishes speaking, putting his bag down on the kitchen counter. You didn’t even have to ask him why he was so giddy, he answered unprompted.

“It is great!” You try to match his energy, only seeing him this excited for the first time since you’ve met. He brings you into his embrace, hugging you so tightly that you think you might die if he squeezed you any tighter. “So what are your plans now that you’re a free man for four whole weeks?”

“Well we could go to the park and play chess, or stay here and play chess but I think the sunlight would be good for both of us. Or we could go to the movies, or take a class together, or…”

“Your plans are to just have dates with me every single day?” You ask, quirking an eyebrow.

He nods as if the answer is the most obvious, concrete fact in the universe. He looks at you, not as if you’re dumb, but as if to say ‘duh what else would I be planning to do?’.

The two of you move to sit on the couch, enveloped in each other as he talks about the many, many dates you’re going to go on now that he’s free from his time constricting job. “What if I don’t wanna do those things?” You ask playfully. He shrugs.

“It doesn’t matter what we do, as long as I get to do it with you”.

“Oh?” You look at him as if he said something scandalous, “I didn’t know you had that big of a crush on me.”

He shoves you gently, rolling his eyes at your attempt to joke off his sweet words.

“You’re joking but studies have found that couples who have regular date nights more often result in higher relationship satisfaction, better communication, and a stronger emotional connection. Us going on dates during these four weeks will be better for us in the long run.”

You don’t reply, or interrupt. It’s always amusing to listen to him ramble on and on about facts that he finds interesting or applicable to the conversation. And all it does is make you fall more in love with him, seeing how serious he is about your relationship working out in the future. He says that he loves you often, but it’s things like this; seeing and listening to how much he genuinely cares about your relationship.

Being the boyfriend of a pretty boy genius has its perks, and how much he cares about you compared to others is definitely one of them.
