Mike's "superman' reference may be pro byler (mini analysis)

The more I think about it the weirder I find it , that Mike compared El to super-MAN. For a few reasons ...

1.Because mike is a comic book nerd who should be able to select a hero/heroine who is more similar to el, than superman. in s1 he was into fantastic 4, and the xmen. Will in s1, wanted a xmen comic about Jean gray ( a telekenetic woman). Mike could have compared El to her , or various other characters, like "wonder woman" (who max compared El to) or literally "supergirl" (which is what argyle called El). He's a comic book nerd who chose superman (instead of a more similar hero). Despite the fact el and superman are very different from one another. But oddly enough, superman and Will actually parallel more...

2. superman & el have opposite backstories/childhoods - which greatly shaped them as characters . Which is why superman is an awful comparison, especially in a season that explores el's childhood.

Superman had great power but : he had a relatively normal childhood. He, from birth, was placed in the care of human parents. He was raised human,despite his powers.

El has great power but : beacuse of it, was raised in a government lab with no parents, and dehumanized and raised to be a weapon - it's the opposite of superman's childhood.

Superman became a hero , because he was raised to be human. El became a hero inspite of others trying to strip away her humanity. They're literal opposites.

3. The st comic" zombie boy " : has someone mention "superman" to Will. Both "superman" scenes happen because of Will showing his art.

And if Will ends up having powers- the superman parallel would make a bit more sense for him . Because Will & Clarke kent (superman) both had similar childhoods.

- Clarke's adopted dad is named Jonathan. And will's brother / psuedo father figure is jonathan.

-being poor small town boys. Who were bullied

- superman has the "fortress of solitude" . WIll had 'castle byers".

-And the (comic) plotpoint of Clarke's first day of kindergarten sounds very similar to byler first meeting in kindergarten: "Clark's first day at school isn't as difficult as he expects and he ends up making many friends at school, until he notices a girl, Samantha, sitting alone in the playground; ostracized for being different. Clark decided that he wants to befriend the girl, but feared that if he did, he'd lose all the friends he'd made up to that point. Consulting with his parents, they advise him to befriend the girl regardless of his classmates' opinions"

Mike doesn't even realize he channeled Clark kent when first meeting and befriending Will. It's almost the opposite of how Mike feels about first meeting El . Mike's insecure and says El is superman, and he's inferior to Louis lane (superman's human love interest). Then he says about m*leven "it wasn't fate" and he just got "lucky superman landed on his door step". The first byler meeting parallels a scene that shows Clarke's humanity as a normal person- clark kent. M*leven's first meeting parallels " superman landing on Louis' door step": which shows mike still hero worships el , a struggle that Louis had in some versions. The movie scene mike mentions is where she was obsessed/loved the idea of superman the hero (who landed at her door), but was oblivious to clarke the human being , right beside her. I feel like mike does struggle to see El (the person) and not El (the superhero). He called her a superhero 3x in s4...

-Also "batman v superman " was comfirmed inspo for s4. It's the sequel to " man of steal". In man of steel: clarke (like Will) has a supernatural episode at school-and starts seeing things others can't. And their moms have to rush over to the school to snap them out of their episodes . The staging is similar and both boys love plaid and bowl cuts lol.

(in man of steel) we also see a photograph: both boys win the science fair with a volcano project... the photographs are so similar ...

Clarke kent is also like Will in obvious ways: he usually blends in the crowd, is considered nerdy in some versions, no one assumes he has powers, and often people underestimate or belittle him. He was even bullied as a kid/teen (again depending on the version,in 'man of steel' he was bullied alot) . And not exaggerating clarke (like Will) sems to really love plaid in almost every version Haha

I am once again posting about Futuristic Four: this time featuring some info about my "au" and their super suits!

From left to right:

Wilbur- xmen inspired suit, gold/yellow head piece, belt and logo. Head peice is to track "jump likeliness" percentage.

Penny- spy like body suit, visor for vitals and communication. Tazers built into gloves and boots. Logo is bolt logo.

Violet- a purple and black version of her original suit, inspo from elastigirl original outfit. Logo is a burst force field.

Hiro- only the helmet changed, has a vital screen and a percentage for Wilbur's "jumping" issue (explained below)

Ok so first off, info on why they need suits and how they "met". In the au, they all live in the future (I couldn't come up with how Violet got dragged into this mess). Hiro stays in San Fransokyo, Wilbur and Penny are in today land and Violet is in the next city over, Metroville. Metroville is right near old town and the people in that city live like it's the 60's.

Anyways, I'll explain all of this at some point but right now, here's the gist: Penny, Hiro and Violet (and their teams) all separately are trying to stop Dr. Calico from getting his hands on a Time Machine. All the teams where asked by Cornielius Robinson because Wilbur is being held for ransom.

They plan to give Calico a Time Machine but rig it to blow up and send itself back in time so they can go back and get it later. Once he figures this out a brawl happens. In the middle of it all is Penny, Wilbur, Hiro and Violet who go for the TM but it goes off early and Wilbur (who was in the drivers seat) absorbs most of the main blast before they get sent to 2012.

Now they're stuck there until they can fix the Time Machine and go home. They stay with Franny's (wilburs mom) family. The blast from the Time Machine does give Wilbur and Penny powers but it takes awhile for them to realize it. Cuz they were the closest to the initial blast.

Wilbur gains time jumping powers and Chronokinesis (he can manipulate time to an extent. Ex: he can make everyone around him slow or himself super fast. But he can't stop time.) but he cannot control his time jumping, when he tries (or worse, holds back a jump) it usually leads to pain (migraines and feeling like he took a hammer to the chest). Luckily that power has a timer. Every couple of days (maybe hours) he' ll uncontrollably time jump between 2012 and whatever time after or before that.

Penny gained the power to speak to animals and to an extent control them. Over using this power does lead to a bunch of peoples pets flocking the house and getting chased by dogs. He gets a hold of it soon tho.

Relationships will be explained later this week lol, for now gn 😎

Where exactly Scotty Kulkari came from is mostly a mystery. Abandoned out the front of the New Jersey State Hospital as a newborn, all he has ever known is the system. Jumping from foster home to foster home for all of his childhood, Scott learned very quickly that people are mostly not to be trusted. Running away, starting fights, whatever he could to get through until he was old enough to be on his own. Deep down, he was always on the search for the family he never knew, but on the surface, he was simply the bane of his social worker's existence.

Around his fifteenth birthday, Scott was placed in the home of the Park family. A picture perfect suburban family with two child of their own, Scotty could never understand why they were opening their doors to the riffraff. At first it was an adjustment from the houses he usually stayed at. They welcomed him with open arms and every intention of him to stay. His usual antics of running away, keeping himself and being generally hostile weren't enough to deter the Parks, eventually wearing down his defences. He especially bonded with the eldest Park child, Lukas. A few years older than himself, Scott finally had someone to look up to. While the two were entirely different, their bond was strong and slowly, Scott felt like he had a family.

While he did age out of the system, Scotty stayed close to the family while setting out to do what he always wanted. Build a life for himself. He was never going to go to college, knowing that a GED was more than enough study for himself. More a tactical learner, he started a trade. It was easy to get steady work and his mind liked to dissect the issue, remedy the problem. Uncovering the mystery of why things worked the way they did was his happy place. Life was solitary, easy to move from place to place which was all he had ever known anyway.

It was a dark day in Montana, Colorado when Scotty recieved a call from his foster sister to say that Lukas had been involved in a fatal shooting. The closest thing to a brother he had ever had, Scotty was distraught. The Parks were even worse, the patriarch of the family inconsolable so he did what anyone would do in that situation would do. He moved back to New Jersey to look after the family, stepping into the shoes that Lukas had now left empty.

As the years progressed and life moved on, Scotty realised that he couldn't stay in New Jersey for the rest of his life and migrated towards Los Angeles. A blue collared shadow of a man in the city of angels would not seem like an ideal choice, but he enjoyed the quickness of the city. The sheer volume of people was enough to get lost in, plus he loved the nature more than anything. It was here where he met his ex-girlfriend. The first girl he ever truly loved and the person he was building his life around. In a moment of hope, Scott thought he'd finally found what he was looking for. Someone to build a family with. All it took was him coming from early from a work trip to find out that she'd been hooking up with her ex the whole time they were together. Scott wasn't the type to stick around.

He left Los Angeles like a ghost in the night, moving down to Texas. On a nightly scroll of Instagram, Scotty could have sworn he saw a candid picture of Lukas on some random artists feed. He wasn't much of an investigator, but he uncovered that this woman lived in Aurora Bay and it was enough for him to drop his hated LA lifestyle and head to the coast, needing a change of pace regardless. Maybe it was nothing, but something in his gut felt like it was too much of a coincidence. So now he's here to uncover the truth.

Naia was born in 1620. It was in 1648 when she had been on a ship with her husband, young son, & father. Her & her child weren't supposed to be there, but her son loved & adored his father, wanting nothing but to be with him. He threw fits if he was gone for more than an hour. So they were on the ship, helping catch fish and whatever else may have you. Shrimp, mussels, crawfish, etc. It was later that evening when they heard the soft, elluring singing of a woman. Convinced there was someone out there in peril, her husband drove the ship towards the singing. In result, crashing into a gathering of sharp rocks. The husband died on impact, her father & son had drowned. Naia had been found by the owner of the singing voice--the siren. The siren had deemed herself loney & wanted someone to call her own friend & daughter. With haste, she drowned Naia, with slim success of turning the woman into a siren. And together they lived for years. Feasting on flesh, luring ships to their death for their next meal. It was a hard life to adjust to for Naia, but she did it. She mourned the loss of her family & resented the siren, but she could never find herself to run away. It took years, for her to be about 300, to finally escape the siren's grasp. Naia found herself traveling for years before she found herself in Greywood at the age of 403.

hi hi, what are the admins and members mw abilities?

hello! we've answered similar questions here and here, but another ability i would love to see is darkness mimicry — like being able to phase in and out of darkness and use this as a form of teleportation or camouflage! another ability i can think of is temporal rewind which allows the user to rewind time perhaps for just a few seconds at any point! it'd be so cool if the muse accompanying this ability was someone especially awkward, because imagine they just rewind time when they say anything that may not be received well, so they end up coming across as the coolest person ever! ( at least until those mandatory nullivi classes... ) or to switch gears completely, something like contract bestowal? being able to grant a wish at a cost could be a really cool ability so long as it's properly limited! that said, we'd love whatever you came up with! if you have an idea or would like to brainstorm, feel free to message the main and we'll be right there to help you! members, please comment below to help them out! ++ admin s would love to see abilities like some sort of animal physiology or shapeshifting, kind of like teen titan's beast boy or xmen's mystique! it would also be really cool if, similar to their inspo, their limitation has something to do with their physical appearance and not being able to blend into the human world! alternatively, we've seen a lot of really cool abilities so far, but we'd love to give a special shoutout to unorthodox abilities like cloth manipulation or writing implement manipulation! ++ admin j would love to see sand mimicry, kind of like spiderman's sandman or xmen's dust!
