Even if I wanted to loathe you with my whole being, your saving face flashes infront of my dying eyes, how you dived in the water and set me free from my chains. I know I’ll never have a mansion

Hello! I'm glad you liked my blog. I know this ask has probably been sitting here for a while and my advice may no longer be helpful to you, but I am answering anyway just incase someone else stumbles on it.

What I like about mechanical engineering is that it is very broad. It covers a vast array of topics that are useful to the discipline itself, but are also applicable to other disciplines. For example, my internship this summer is at a civil engineering firm, where I've applied my understanding of def bods, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and many other subjects I have studied for my major, just through a different lens. It also gives me the opportunity to work with my hands, which is one of my favorite things to do.

I have worked in a lot of teams for my studies, which has its highs and lows like any other group project would. But engineers have a few specific quirks you can prepare for. The biggest one I have noticed is this: engineers are terrible writers. This may not seem like a big deal, but in truth half of engineering is writing technical papers and reports. It does not matter how ingenious your ideas and creations are if you cannot convince people of this fact, most likely through writing. If you can hone your writing skills, you will be a valuable member of your groups.

If you like problem solving, can tolerate every class involving a great deal of math, and learn to prioritize your own wellbeing, mechanical engineering is a wonderful discipline. And with a bit of balance, you don't have to sacrifice any passion for the humanities, as I hope my blog has demonstrated :)

How should I put it in words? You have ruined me for anyone else, and you wouldn't even look at me. I fear you'd forget the tale of a year we discovered the stars and galaxies when we closed our eyes. You'd forget me. And when we cross paths again, if fates were to kind to me, and I see you walk towards me I'd do anything to make you stay, for even an hour, for a minute, or for a second. I'd offer you flower, if that'll make you stay, to even look at my disheveled self, I'd do it, and watch you go like wind, while carrying your gleaming face in my memories for the rest of my life. But I know fates are brutal, how am I supposed to make you stay for even a moment when our paths doesn't even fall under the same sky?
