COSMIC WITCHCRAFT

Cosmic witches and Cosmic witchery is witchcraft (or witches) that employs the use of the heavenly bodies, stars, moon, and astrology as well as their specific movements within their craft. Much of the time this can be seen as doing rituals or spells on certain days where the planets are in certain signs or when the moon is in a certain phase.

Cosmic witches will often be drawn to the stars, planetary movements, the moon, and astrology and find a way to utilize this within their craft.

How to Employ Cosmic Witchcraft

Most witches already practice some aspects of cosmic witchcraft. Many witches follow moon cycles. Often witches use astrological energies to enhance their spell casting. Becoming a cosmic witch (sometimes called a star witch) means that you are intentionally devoting time to work with the energies of the celestial bodies and the deities associated with them to increase your knowledge in this area.

Devote some time to the celestial body that speaks to you. Take the time to observe it in the sky if possible. Study and research it. Learn to have a personal relationship with the energy that you associate with each celestial body.

Observing and celebrating the solstices and equinoxes and other seasonal festivals is a beautiful way to practice cosmic witchcraft. This keeps you in touch with the specific energy and effect that the cosmos has on daily life. Begin reading ephemerides or planners to get started.

There is great beauty in the phases of the moon, and these phases have plenty to teach a cosmic witch. Learn how each phase of the moon can affect your spell work. Plan your spells to work with the energy of the moon and see your results increase dramatically. Download a moon app or put up a calendar that observes the moon cycles.

Creating your own birth chart will give you a chance to learn how each celestial body affects you. It will also help you to see the practical implications of “As above, So below.” Begin with locating your sun, moon, and ascendant, then inner planets before diving into outer planets, asteroids, houses, elements, and more.

Being a witch of any type or kind will always have you learning more, both internally and about the world around you. To learn more about cosmic witchcraft, start with doing some reading on the topic. Then when you are feeling comfortable, jump right into an area that interests you. Remember that the journey is magical, and your journey is shaped most of all, by you.

You don't have to just work with the moon though, you can also work with the alignment of other planets or celestial bodies.

Check out these links for cosmic events and to see where the planets are right now. You can also create a chart to see transits and how the planets are interacting on any given date with Astro Seek and formulate a spell around planetary motions, transits, aspects, etc.

How do I integrate cosmic witchcraft with some of my more “traditional” witchcraft practices?

Work with crystals, herbs, candles, and intents based on their planetary/constellation correspondences. If none of the correspondences you come across ring true with you, figure out what you personally associate with a celestial body. You are in charge of your magic and following through on your personal associations will help make your spells more powerful.

Get familiar with the current planetary placements. You don’t have to utilize astrology, but knowing which planet is where in the sky will help you plan your spells. Is Mercury in retrograde? That means it will appear here in the sky at this time. Is Neptune at opposition? Great, it’ll be easy to see when you go stargazing!

Use planetary Sigils to invoke their attributes and power.

It’s annoying but for the sake of winning against the heros he’d let some things slide.

He can’t stand when you use your quirk and fuck with him.

You constantly prank him any chance you get and force him to keep his guard up at almost all times.

Literally over the dumbest stuff too. Like just mess with him while he’s playing video games and cause him to lose his high score

You three are impossible chaos

Three maniacs walk into a bar-

No but like toga adores you and will laugh at everything you do.

No body quite puts up with you like she does and you love her for it.

Twice is almost in love with you his damn self

Midoriya is blown away by all the things you are able to do.

Like at this point you might as well have a real quirk.

When he saw you do it durning a fight he almost got himself knocked out watching you.

You moved so freely while doing it. Poor baby was starstruck.

He thinks your form is amazing and something truly godlike.

Might be overexagerating but still..

He likes to watch you practice and will have you explain it. He doesn’t really want to learn it but more understand it.

He’ll practice it very light but won’t ever fully comment to it since he’s more worried about learning his own quirk.

Don’t get him wrong he loves that you can do it!

He just doesn’t really get how to do it and struggles pretty bad.

Katsuki Bakugou

Bakugou sorta kinda just wants to know how you do it

He doesn’t care too much about the extras of it.

Just wants to do it

And it pisses him off like crazy that he can’t do it right.

You try to explain getting angry won’t help

You give him all types of suggestions and tell him it takes  patience but he just keeps ignoring you.

Like your not the master of all 3 types but whatever sis-

He eventually calms down enough to actually get it but only after the kidnapping and the retirement of AllMight.

The shock was so deep within him it just unlocked for him.

And boy was he ready to rub it in your face.

Tsuyu Asui

She’s a master at it off the bat.

Like it shocks you how easily she unlocks her abilities.

She totally plays it off like it’s normal too.

Like damn everyone can’t do this?

It actually helps her with controlling her quirk. It doesn’t make sense to either of you but whatever.

She knows her limits though and understands that she’s much better with her quirk.

However you guys practice from time to time and she has you sweating.

Like if you didn’t know any better you would totally get whooped by her.

Otherwise she just does it for support.

She respects that it’s your thing.

Ochako Uraraka

She thinks you look adorable doing it.

She understands that your super strong and is super impressed you don’t have a quirk.

But she just thinks you look so adorable working so hard to keep up with your classmates.

Will start practing it with you just for the sake of giving you more practice.

We love a supportive gf-

Makes sure she messes up a good bit so you slow down and catch your own mistakes if your making them.

She’s another one who isn’t super intressed in actually doing it.

She takes her time and would actually be incredibly amazing at it if she put in full effort.

She’s got her own things going on.

But she’s just happy to be helping you.

Hi hi! I love your page! Uhm- is it okay if i request bakugou, todoroki, kaminari, and tamaki (take whoever if that's too much) with a reader who has a witch quirk? I'm talking, their quirk can only be used with their wand in hand? But she can barely control her quirk and the outcomes of it (not that she's op, honestly her quirk is really just a bundle of smaller, probably non lethal quirks. So sometimes let's say she'll try to cast a spell to make something float but she'll instead just makes it shrink and she doesn't know how to actually control her quirk to do what she wants) and instead she relies on spells from Harry Potter to give her the mindset and make her actually able to focus on each invidual 'magic' she uses. (Like, now she'll openly say "Wingardium Leviosa" before actually casting a spell to make things float therefore it'll actually work)

If you don't watch Harry Potter then you can ignore this doe!

Bout flipped his lid because he loves those movies.

From time to time in his own way he’ll tell you new spells to try.

He has to know what your Patronus

Will correct you if you mess up on something small as pronunciation.

Low key got yourself a tutor?

He actually feels kinda proud seeing how far you’ve come.

But will never admit it.

Todoroki Shoto

Doesn’t have much feelings at all

He has no clue what Harry Potter is he just assumed you said random words

He overhears Midoriya talking about it and that’s how he learns it’s not random

Will ask you straight up about your quirk

You guys have a movie marathon and he tries his best to help you when needed

Will write down spells for you and help you practice.

Still doesn’t fully get it and will probably try to encourage you to stop using already made up spells and make your own work

Doesn’t push too hard, just, gives off suggestions.

Will help regardless because he actually thinks it’s kinda cool.

His favorite character is Luna. It’s just facts.

Kaminari Denki

He notices the Harry Potter thing off the bat

Doesn’t bug him, he thinks it’s cool.

He sort of gets a kick out of hearing you use the spells and will laugh almost every time.

However he will constantly ask what house you think he’s in

Gets very pouty when you answer hufflepuff every time.

Sometimes has you use spells to prank your classmates. All fun and games until Bakugou wants to kill the both of you

He isn’t the biggest help with you learning

He is always willing to be a test dummy for you learning new spells.

The safe ones though.

You aren’t setting his clothes on fire, or Shrinking him down.

He likes to hide your wand and watch you struggle.

In a nice way.

Tamaki Amajiki

Closeted Harry Potter nerd

He’s much too shy to approach you about it though.

It fills his heart to see you bringing those spells to life in front of his eyes.

He just barely works up enough nerve to ask you to do your Potronus spell.

When you show him, it’s clear he’s really excited by it.

You guys warm up to each other slowly after that, and his nerd will reaaaally start to show

He asks you all types of questions on the movies

Constantly tells you his favorite spells and wants you to cast them.

You guys play the mobile games together and it’s so adorable

Sometimes when his anxiety kicks up too much you do his favorite spells or basic tricks to cheer him up.

It always works on him and he appciates it a lot

Shares earbuds with you and shows you his favorite songs.

His playlist is mostly punk songs but he’s got a few soft jams and will sing them softly for you.
