jaemin first impression - i thought she was a breath of fresh air to be honest, she made jeno a lot more grounded and i could tell that it was serious for him, i was glad that jeno was finally going for a more down to earth girl. i was quite surprised though as she’s so far from his type, she’s so shy. he usually goes for louder girls.

jaemin’s impression now - she’s a pain in the ass. she talks so much and she’s too loud in bed, jeno’s walls are thin and i loose sleep because of them but i do love her. i’m happy that she makes my best friend happy, they deserve each other and their love is something i want one day. she’s still a breath of fresh air and i’m happy to see the positive impact she has on jenos life

"Ugh."

You don't bother to hide your nasally groan as the bell rings. It sounds louder than normal, making your headache worse as it feels as if the bell just rang right in your face. You put a hand to your head, hoping that could help soothe the pain. It doesn't.

Despite being friends with troublemakers, you aren't one to ditch class. Prior to coming to this world, you'd always been one to have perfect attendance. Even on your worse days you would show up and force yourself to get through the day. That stubbornness of yours had its pros and cons and today you were feeling the latter. Especially after telling yourself that you managed to make it halfway through the day. If you can live through lunch and stay conscious during the next couple of classes you could go home to a well-deserved nap.

A soft paw comes at your shoulder. You blink, nearly forgetting where you are as you turn to see your other half.

"Hey, henchhuman, you're not looking so great." It's always strange to hear Grim sound worried. For a moment, you think you're imagining it. "You think you can handle the rest of the day? One of us has to pay attention in class, especially in that snoozefest called history."

Well, he tried, you guess. It's not easy for him to loosen up and show concern for too long.

"I'll be fine," you say in your best normal-sounding voice, which fails as it ends in a cough. "Just don't expect me to fight for food in the cafeteria today."

"I don't always need your help!" Grim huffs. Despite pouting, he doesn't hesitate to climb up your arm when offered to him. He perches himself on your shoulder and while you regret the extra weight you figure it might help keep you awake. You wouldn't want to fall with him on your shoulder since you'll never hear the end of it.

"...Maybe I'll grab ya a sandwich just this once."

You smile as you get to your feet. While you doubt that you have the stomach for it, you're grateful.

Being one of the last to leave means the halls are fairly empty. The crowd has already formed near the entrance of the cafeteria and it's not something you're looking forward to. At least, for now, you have room to stumble and sway without bumping into another student. Unnecessary fights and tumbling to the floor are being avoided today. Although the latter might come true with how sluggish you're feeling.

It's fine. Everything will be fine. All you have to do is grab a seat and eat something and then go on with the day. You can do this.

"Lil Shrimpy~!"

You jolt instantly from hearing that nickname. There's only one person who calls you that and while you don't mind him like most, today isn't a day you think you can handle Floyd. You hold your breath and turn to spot not just one eel, but two.

"Keep moving!" Grim hisses in your ear and you whine. The poor creature tries to hide behind you as the twins approach.

"Hey, why didn'tcha answer me calling out to ya earlier?" Floyd asks with a hum. When you don't answer promptly, he tilts his head, heterochromatic eyes boring into yours. "Man, you look worse than a flounder."

"Nothing. I'm fine." You sniffle.

"Y-Yeah! My henchhuman is perfectly fine!" Grim reiterates with all the courage he can muster. Which instantly disappears the moment Floyd's gaze turns to him instead.

"Are you certain?" Jade inquires. "As my dear brother said, you don't look as pristine as you could be, Prefect."

You can't tell if he's poking fun at you or not. He probably is, like always, but at least when you're healthy you can tell. Right now, you don't have the energy to keep up with either of them.

"Someone's lying~! Don'tcha know what happens to liars?" Floyd's voice echoes in your head.

You shut your eyes and try to breathe. A coughing fit feels like its about to burst from your mouth and you raise a hand to cover it. No matter how hard you try to hold it back, it escapes.

"H-Henchhuman?!" Grim shouts in a panic. You feel him clutch onto your shoulder. This is the worst you've sounded all day, so it's no surprise he's worried.

The headache that's been lingering feels worse. Hell, it feels as if the pounding is going to drag your head down to meet with the floor. So much for avoiding that today.

And is it just you or is it getting hotter in here? You've already taken off your jacket. Maybe you should head to the bathroom and splash some cool water on your face.

You try to turn but feel a wave of nausea. You forget that two underwater giants are watching you like prey. They see how you fumble, take a misstep, and slam against the wall. A giggle escapes from one and in this state, you can't tell who.

"Hey!" Grim cries as he falls along with you. While you slide down, he jumps off your shoulder and lands on his hind feet. Paws press against your arm, shaking you weakly. "Dammit! I should have ordered you to stay in bed! We could have totally ditched today."

"Oya? Is someone having trouble with their housemate?" Jade asks.

Grim jumps as the twins hover beside you both. He takes a step back, about to take another before he pauses. The cat hisses, fur standing on end.

"I dunno why you're still here, but they're my henchhuman!"

Floyd laughs, loudly. "The earless seal thinks he can mess with us?" His laugh comes to a sudden halt as he takes a step forward, stomping inches away from your fallen figure. With ease, he picks up the cat by the fur on the back of his neck. "Go ahead and try to hit me if you wana~" Floyd challenges with a sharp grin.

Grim raises his paws in defense. He wants to protect you, really, he does, but how can he? Without you, he can't handle both of them at once! You could distract one or both since they find you more interesting. But left alone with them, it's as if they've become the cats and he's the mouse.

"Now, now, you know fights shouldn't break out in the halls while no one is around," Jade chimes in. The way he says it makes it sound as if he's never done it before. "You should know, Grim, that we're worried about them too."

"Nyah?" Grim blinks, paws dropping. He glares at Jade. "Worried? You two? You probably just want to eat them!"

"Shrimpy does taste delicious!" Floyd chirps and licks his lips. Grim doesn't want to know what that means or if he's playing around or not, and now he really doesn't want to leave you alone with them.

"If you don't hurry, you won't get anything to eat for lunch." Jade takes a step forward and pulls the cat from his brother's grasp. Floyd pouts but lets the cat go free. "We'll make sure the Prefect gets the best care at the nurse's office."

"Ngh..." Grim looks between you and the eels. Your poor defenseless body disappears behind them, both wearing matching, untrustworthy grins. He shuts his eyes, hating that he can't do anything. In a fit of anger, he blows fire at them. It misses, unsurprisingly, but the cat is already on his feet and running to the cafeteria. He can get back up there.

Once the eels are alone, they glance at each other in sync.

"Eh? The nurse? Seriously? That's so boring." Floyd sighs. He moves and picks up your unconscious body with little effort, throwing you over his shoulder. Once he's comfortable with how you’re held, he begins to walk in the opposite direction. "I know a better place to take them~"

~...~

"Azul!" Floyd shouts as he kicks the door open. If it weren't for magical reinforcement, the door would have flown off its hinges.

Used to this action, Azul isn't surprised by the sudden intrusion, but he is still annoyed. He lifts his gaze from the pile of papers on his desk, about to snap at Floyd and demand a reason for his appearance until he sees you hanging over his shoulder.

"Why...do you have the Prefect?" He clears his throat, trying to conceal the hint of worry that seeps out.

"They're sick. So, thought you'd want them." Floyd shrugs nonchalantly, adjusting you as he does.

"What?! You should take them to the nurse's office!" Azul shakes his head as he gets to his feet. Sure, he wouldn't dare turn away a chance to spend time with you, but not when you're being carried like a sack of potatoes by Floyd while you're ill. It would be beneficial to him if he knew beforehand so he could make the proper arrangements to show up with the right cure and have you in debt to him. How can he do anything like that now?!

"Nah, don't wana." Without either consent, he flops you down onto the couch. He doesn't hide his knowing grin as he heads to the door. "Have fun with them!"

Azul catches his brother's figure in the hall and he can't pinpoint who planned this. Not that it mattered, both were going to be working an extra shift for this.

"I swear, those two..." He mumbles and bites down on his tongue when he remembers that he isn't alone.

He steps to the side of the couch, gaze cast upon you. It stings to see you...like this. Weak and fragile. In pain. Taking in a single breath is a toll on your very body as if you're breathing water instead of air. He can only imagine how much pain you're really in. You wouldn't dare to expose all of your pain, even in this state.

Azul frowns, eyes filled with worry. He's thankful that he has the privacy of the VIP room to allow such emotions to show. He can already hear your voice, telling him that he should relax more, no need to be so perfect all the time. But he has to be, for you. He wonders if you do the same. Putting up a front to be strong. Maybe you'd spill more while in a weakened state. It's a hard temptation to pass on.

He lowers himself to your level. Carefully, he takes off a glove and presses his hand against your forehead. He's not surprised by the heat radiating from you. Just how long have you been like this? And how did the twins manage to find you? He could take a simple guess. Your persistence to attend class despite everything is the answer. Or rather, your determination to fight all odds.

"My, my, the Prefect can take care of everyone but themselves," he murmurs, voice so soothing and gentle.

The sound of his voice is comforting, you yearn to hear more. As your eyes flutter open your vision is hazy. It looks almost dreamlike with only Azul being in focus.

"A...zul?" You breathe out. You're dreaming, you have to be. One second you were leaving class and the next the Octavinelle housewarden is in front of you. Definitely a dream. You give him a weak smile and take the hand that is still pressing against your forehead. You pull it down to your cheek, nuzzling into it and keeping it pressed against your skin.

"Cool..." His hand isn't cold, but against your feverish skin, it feels pleasant.

Meanwhile, Azul is frozen by your actions. He's grateful that you aren't fully conscious so you can't see him floundering for words nor the way his cheeks burn. He's almost afraid to say more and wake you once more.

"Prefect?"

You hum in response, but that's all you give him. You've fallen back asleep it seems. Azul lets out a breath he'd been holding. Then his gaze falls back to his hand nestled perfectly against your cheek. It's almost like a dream come true for him to hold you like this...but not while you sleep!

"I have work to do, you know," he says softly as if lightly scolding you. He won't get a response and he doesn't want one. Letting you sleep and recover is what he wants. Besides, you can't see how he has to hide his embarrassment when trapped like this. "And here you are eating up all my time. You're a lucky one. I don't just let anyone do this for free."

He wishes that he could at least prepare some tea or medicine for you to wake up to. Wouldn't that be amazing to wake up to? For now, he has to be content with watching you sleep. It seems that his hand had some healing effect as you’re sleeping easier now compared to earlier. Maybe he'll offer to do this for you again...at a price, of course.

"Hey, how come you're so nice to me?"

This question had been prompted by what was probably seen as the smallest gesture in any other relationship—the simple act of Billy wrapping his jacket around my shoulders.

His right hand was laced with mine as the other held a cigarette, nearly dropping it as he registered my question. "What?" he asked, seeming genuinely confused.

"I mean, I don't know of any other girl in Hawkins you'd willingly lend your favorite denim jacket to," I further clarified.

Billy was quick to bounce back with, "Well, no other girl in Hawkins is as smokin' hot as you are, now are they, pretty girl?"

Normally, I would've blushed at his usage of a nickname, but instead, I found myself letting out a light scoff. "Seriously?" I asked, sliding myself up further onto the hood of his car.

He continued to lightly lean against it, taking in a whiff of the mixture of night air and cigarette smoke. "Yeah, seriously. Everyone else is either a blonde bimbo or just looks like straight up dog shit."

I cut my eyes at him sharply. "Not what I meant."

He slowly raised the cigarette to his lips, taking a long inhale. He slowly exhaled, the smell of smoke quickly wafting into my nose. "You're not gonna let it go, are you?"

I looked at home straight faced, shaking my head.

He let out a deep sigh, his expression slightly softening. "You know… it's like… I…" he struggled to collect his thoughts.

"You OK? I didn't break you, did I?" I giggled, reaching up to run my hand through his hair.

He grabbed my hand mid-stroke, moving it to his chest. "You feel that?"

I could feel the light thumps through the white cotton that sat tightly against his skin. "Uh huh," I answered, unsure where this was going.

"That only happens when I'm with you."

"What? Your heart beating?" I asked sarcastically. "Because if so, you should definitely go see a doctor because your heart stopping that often is definitely not supposed to happen."

This time, he cut his eyes at me. "Not what I meant, smartass."

I looked over his face as he began to collect his thoughts once more. He licked his lips as he searched for words, his eyebrows ruffling in perplexity.

Finally, he spoke up once more. "I don't know… it's like, I can't really control my heart when I'm around you," he said, taking a long pause. Eventually, he continued with, "If I have to be honest, it kinda scares me."

"Bills," I started, my expression gentle as I moved my hand back to his hair, "I think what you're feeling is a four-letter word that begins with L."

Despite being together for a few months, I was the only one who'd ever said the L word. Ever since Billy was a kid, he'd had this misperception that love was rare—that it was something you had to earn, not something that was inherent in everyone. I tried not to push the L word on Billy, but I believed I'd loved him harder than I'd ever loved anyone before. What was the harm in telling him so? After all, even if he couldn't verbally say it, his actions said it—he loved me too.

He scoffed, raising the cigarette to his mouth once more. "I think I'd know if I felt that way, sweetheart," he commented before inhaling again.

I sighed, hopping off the hood of the car. "You know you're not as tough as you think you are, Billy Hargrove."

He rolled his eyes, a sarcastic look appearing on his face. He leaned in and exhaled, blowing smoke just inches away from my face. "And you're not as smart as you think you are," he replied, almost daringly. "You think you've got me all figured out, huh?"

I ran a hand along his chest, patting lightly. "Trust me, big boy, I've had you figured out since the second I saw you step out of this Camaro and into the parking lot of Hawkins High."

"Is that so?" he smirked, lingering ever-so-close to my face.

"Uh huh," I nodded, "And I've figured out that what you feel for me… it's called love, Hargrove."

He rolled his eyes, licking his lips once more. "You're not gonna let it go, are you?"

"Never," I answered, shaking my head. "I mean, I've been waiting months for you to say it. I don't get why you're so scared of it. It's just a word, it's not gonna hurt you."

"It's more than just a word, Y/N," he protested. "It's actions. It's showing someone that they deserve to be loved. You don't just go throwing the L word around like it's confetti. In my eyes, it has to be earned."

I moved my arms up, dangling them over his shoulders. "Are you saying I haven't earned it?" I inquired, one eyebrow cocked upward.

He took a deep breath, eyes wandering for a few seconds. "No, I suppose you have earned it."

The air stayed silent for a beat, a comfortable silence. He ran a finger through my hair lightly, brushing some loose hairs behind my ear. I would have stayed like that all night if the universe had allowed me to.

"So?" I asked, finally breaking the silence.

"So?" he replied, his tone filled with sarcasm.

"I think you owe me something," I stated, "A certain four-letter word, perhaps?"

He scoffed, rolling his eyes. "Woman, you are so persistent," he chuckled.

"Thank you. I've heard my persistence is one of my better qualities," I told him, a giggle threatening to fall from my tongue.

He let out a long sigh, moving his hand back to my hair. "I guess I do—L word you, I mean."

I leaned in, placing my hands lightly against the material of his white tee shirt. I left a long and sweet kiss on his lips, feeling nearly dizzy when I registered that of all the mouths in Hawkins I could've kissed, I'd had the pleasure of kissing Billy's. "I guess I L word you too, Billy Hargrove."

Hi! To preface: I don't think there's any one right or wrong answer to my question necessarily, but I value your opinion as a level-headed adult in this fandom who can probably provide sensible input on the issue I'm having, so I thought I'd ask.

If a CC asks for their character not to be drawn (specifically referring to fanart, which they likely saw on Twitter) in a sexualised way, what does that mean for written fanwork content? Is it "wrong" (putting this in quotation marks since that's a loaded word, to say the least) to write nsfw content about said character and post it on Ao3, considering the differences in visibility/CC knowledge of those platforms, as well as the general consensus/expectation that CCs don't generally read fanfic anyway? Where is the line between "you should respect the CC's wishes" (avoiding the word "boundaries" since that's also very loaded in mcyt spaces) and "you can do whatever you want forever; fanworks are created by and for fans, not for the creators" drawn? Does "just don't put it where they can see unless they go looking" (i.e. correctly tagged on Ao3, not on a CC-frequented site like Twitter) apply? Would it be better not to do it at all, or only create and share said content in private spaces like Discord? Or is this all a "there is no single 'morally correct' answer, make your own personal judgement" thing?

(Sorry for the long-winded question but this is genuinely something I'm struggling with right now, lol. As I said I value and respect your opinion and views about these kinds of things in fandom, so if you have anything to say on the matter I'd appreciate your input!)

And then you add in creators expressing that they don't like seeing NSFW content of their characters, and people end up in a whole lot of different places, whether that's a complete no on shipping or NSFW, or people feeling fine to consume it but not create it, or only if it's archive locked, or only specific ships or smps, or whatever. I think it's fine that we don't all agree on this, creation is a fickle beast and we are in a weird place as a fandom of being not rpf but kinda cousins, and we can get *really* close to the creators with twitch and twitter, so people's comfort level in meshing all the parasociality and roleplay and real life of it all can end up in a lot of different places.

I just think that the most important thing for the fandom being a healthy place to spend time on the internet is that we don't go aroud sending hate/abuse to those we disagree with. a) i don't agree with internet mobs or suicide baiting or anon hate in general, b) the number of times I have seen internet games of telephone happen when it comes to this subject is unreal. To use an example from literally today, I saw someone saying that Pac of qsmp pacmike was uncomfortable with shipping art and fic and we all should stop shipping immediately, and once I tracked it back to its source, it turns out that what had happened was the creator said that he wasn't a fan that all the art was of him in the jumpsuit that used to be his skin, he has a new skin now, which turned into sexy jumpsuit art was the problem, which turned into pac hates all sexy fan art, which turned into "pac is being bombarded with nsfw art and shipping and he hates it". Now he might actually also not like NSFW art, but that's not actually what he was adressing, but it was certainly what was being circulated! So like, people warning me off of certain subjects— how do I know that they're actually accurate or if twitter just went twitter on a passing mention of something someone said on a twitch stream?

So I think it's way way way healthier for us as a fandom to sometimes disagree on the subject of "what we're drawing/writing about" and when that happens we implement Don't Like; Don't Read, and we just ignore that, or block if necessary. Don't Want To See it? Simply Don't See It. It's a bad idea to start hate campaigns for sinners, and half the time it's based on bad information anyways.

But in cases that you do know that the creator doesn't want to see that, you found an accurate clip? So this is a case where I think that there's no single moral answer to this that everyone is gonna agree on. We're all coming at it from too many different cultural backgrounds and different streamers in mind and comfort levels with NSFW in general. I don't think there is a firm answer that is gonna make you morally safe. But my personal feelings is that in cases where we know the creators doesn't want to see that, I think the important part there is that the creator never sees that, not that we stamp it off the internet entirely.

I do think, personally, ymmv, that you are not necessarily doing anything morally wrong with drawing or writing NSFW of someone's character, even if they think it's weird. There's a long history of creators saying "you can't do [this] with my characters," and it happens to be you can't [make them gay] enough to make me uncomfortable in general principle with saying creator of the character gets to call the shots in all settings forever. This happened with Anne Rice and with the supernatural fandom and like— it's the internet, we get to make the characters be gay together. This is the making sex jokes about fictional characters website, and Ao3 is the making porn about fictional characters website. I think it's fine if it exists on the internet, the question comes down to one of what we're forcing the creator to see, or what we're putting where they'll stumble upon it. Like, examples from real life— if you have a friend who's vegan, it's polite to not spend time rhapsodizing about how good meat is around them, and if you know that meat makes them sick, it's polite to do a meatless meal around them. That's a human person you want to be okay around you. But that's their boundary for their life, not yours, so even when you're being polite you have no obligation to go vegan when they're not around. And they have a politeness obligation to not walk into a steakhouse and freak out because there's meat there. They have a boundary for their life, and I'm going to respect it, but my life is a different story, and they need to take reasonable steps to protect their boundaries and not just expect everyone else to conform to them.

Or walking by someone on the street and waiting till they're out of earshot and then going "jesus christ that guy was hot" to your friends— that's fine. That's normal human behaviour. What becomes rude is when you make it hot guy's problem and yell at him. Being attracted to someone in your own space is not a problem. I'm aroace, I am not going to be in a relationship with anyone. I'm not going to ban having crushes on me, as long as you don't make it my business. Talking about an attractive person in your own space is not a problem. Being sexual in your own space— and again we are talking about fictional characters, the way I see it, these are lies we're telling about folks that are not real, who live in little minecraft worlds— that's fine. The problem is if we start catcalling people about it.

When you walk into fandom spaces you are walking into a space where we all like taking fictional guys and telling stories about them and a good portion of those stories are going to include kissing. That is not necessarily baseline normal for like, all of humanity, but people talk about tv shows they watch as one of the classic work small talk techniques. Fandom takes the "I hope ted gets together with jessica" "no he needs to work on himself first" discussion and writes stories, is all, to share with each other. Privately. On our special private website where there's a button you can click to hide your work from search engines and another one to hide it from logged-out users. If you log into the website and search things up, no tags blocked, what you find is on you for saying "I will see literally anything that exists on this subject in a space meant for literally anything". You will find gore. You will find kissing. You literally just opted in to seeing it. That's on you.

So like, there's my little defense of nsfw work existing in general, I think it existing is not a problem. I do think that we should keep it FAR AWAY from streamers. They get to set the rules for their spaces, and if someone doesn't want to see sexualized fan art, I do think we should make sure that in a reasonable way, they never have to see sexualized fan art/fic.

So like me personally, I'm going to hit that Ao3 button to hide my work from search engines, and anything NSFW (or shippy, depending on the person) is not going to go into the main tags on tumblr or twitter or anywhere I'm aware that the creators ever check that tag, and I'd probably archive lock it if the creator had publically mentioned being uncomfortable with it, and if I was regularly posting NSFW I'd block the creators on social media with any account I discuss NSFW with. I want to make sure that I am talking to my friends about the cubitos, not catcalling someone.

And I would probably err on the side of caution when it comes to social media sites that creators are on? Okay so the fandom has a habit of saying that NSFW and Shipping is BAD and can't exist, on the one hand, but on the other hand it says that anything that isn't Bad Wrong Shipping/Explicit NSFW is fine, which leads to like— extremely sexy thirst trap art being drawn and then the creators are tagged. People putting family dynamic fics that really pushes that envelope in the main tag. Gahhhhhh????? No? Don't do that?

I think it would be healthier in the fandom if we did a lot more going "this is for the fandom, not the creator" and we don't tag creators on twitter, and we took our little kissing fics, or gore, or kidfic, or neurodiverse headcanons, or anything else it might be not for the creator to see, and we kept it in fandom spaces and away from creators. But Ao3 is that fandom space that you have to opt into, it's literally archive of our Own, for fans, in that space as long as you tag it you're good.

So the TL;DR of this all is that my opinion is that if you tag it correctly on Ao3 you're fine. Maybe archive lock it. Keep it off twitter. Don't make it the streamer's problem, and you're good.

Heyy! Saw your post about hyuna, what is the lore with that guy? Besides obviously that he’s a criminal

Idk if this is a genuine question but I'm gonna answer it as such but tldr: I initially said that because people were comparing him to Dawn when him and Hyuna have known each other their entire careers and newer kpop fans don't know who Junhyung is so they are confused wondering how they know each other/calling him a rebound

But 1st Junhyung isn't a criminal, not excusing anything but he was never charged with anything he was a witness and bystander in the Molka situation (which a lot of people are confusing for Burning Sun because they happened around the same time but different situations). Basically Junhyung was friends with Jung Joon Yung (which a lot of people think IS Junhyung but no different guys) who was found to have a group chat spreading around illegal videos taken of men sleeping with women without their consent. Junhyung being friends with him was accused of being in the group chat, he denied it, then when the police got a warrant for his phone history it came out that he WASN'T in the infamous group chat HOWEVER! He was in a solo chat with JJY and was sent an illegal video of him sleeping with a girl. In the end he was a witness and bystander who didn't come forward with that information, which is bad of course.

I have mixed feelings about it because I was a fan of his for over a decade and was extremely disappointed in him. He admitted what he did was wrong and he should've come forward with it when it happened but yeah.... Its just a hard topic I hate him for it but at the same time idk complex feelings

Long post because I ended up writing more than I intended to... but hey 15ish years of history am I right?

Now the LORE with Hyuna and Junhyung is that they debuted around the same time in 4minute and Beast under the same company, Cube. He was featured in her solo debut song: Change. They also were paired together A LOT in Cube family performances because they had similar positions in their group (rappers). They basically became really good friends:

They were so close in a way you don't see kpop idols do now and days with the opposite sex and of course people began to ship them because it seemed like they were flirting.

Then Junhyung began dating Goo Hara and Hyuna joined a sub-unit called Troublemaker with his bandmate at the time, Hyunseung. They kinda cooled on their friendship in the public, probably out of respect for his girlfriend and not wanting to be shipped with his friend. And Hyuna played up a stage relationship with Hyunseung to the point people thought THEY were dating but tbh It was probably an image thing. (funny story Junhyung came up with the name troublemakers lol)

So nothing was seen about them for YEARS even after him and Hara broke up, until like 2016? After 4minute disbanded Hyuna went solo and stayed with Cube, which is a whole long other tangent. But they appeared on a show together called "Happy together". Junhyung hated going on talk/variety shows because he's incredibly shy but he did it for once and it was with Hyuna so it was kind of a big deal. They still appeared close as friends and Hyuna tried to make him feel more comfortable on camera.

Then Hyuna had a show called X19, which is kinda hard to find now and days, but it was a reality show to prepare for her new album. During it she had a meal with Junhyung where they talked openly and you got to see more of their friendship openly for the first time in ages. I mean if you watch that video of them eating I feel like you can tell he had feelings for her idk the way he looked at her... But in that chat they talked about the public pressure to be seen a certain way that is expected of them. For Hyuna it was being hyper sexual in her music and performances because that's what people expected of her. Junhyung says he wishes for her to stop doing what other people want and do what she wanted and that he hoped she could do something she enjoyed. Then she brings up the fact that he had promised to make a song for her (he is a writer, producer and composer) and he says "ah yeah it didn't turn out"

After this stretch of promo with them (they also attended a fashion show together) Junhyung and the remaining members of Beast would leave Cube ent and start their own company and change their name to Highlight. This would be the last we'd see of them together publicly until well... now

I'm sure I don't have to tell people about her and Dawn and their history but they started dating after Junhyung left Cube.

There's a lot more to the lore like other collabs they did, the songs they released that seemed to be about each other (mainly from his side) but that's probably just going into delulu land so I'll avoid that.

But yeah If you read this far thanks for listening to me ramble and try to explain 15ish years of lore as brief as possible.

i’m back to say that magnificent was so so so good!! i love the uta mihawk interactions and how mihawk wants to protect her. i think my favorite part though was when mihawk was talking to shanks all nervous about whether he could call uta his daughter, but shanks answers with an “of course.”

this fic made me wonder why mihawk would do if he was present during the one piece film red… would he come along with the red crew, or would he already be there like the others (luffy, law, etc)?

i actually have a bit of a draft going of mihawk seeing the "shanks destroys elegia" headline, seeing what's up, and finding uta, which i started before i wrote up magnificent lol. that's kinda where i picture him--doing something before everything happens, bc his curiosity makes him wonder why shanks would do smthg so uncharacteristic.

i recognize that's kind of a cop-out answer tho LOL so in regards to the movie itself in the canon(ish) timeline, i imagine he'd probably be there beforehand like luffy etc. he'd be there bc buggy and his crew got tickets and he was somehow dragged there against his will (similar to how law says he's chaperoning bepo but a lot more antagonistic about it aha), probably bc croc decides it might be beneficial to go, for whatever reason. probably scoping the crowd. anyways, i also have the start of an idea where the movie happens but uta survives, and shanks, stressed, is like, "hey, y'know what, everything's ramping up and everyone's trying to kill uta and she's still recovering from this wakeshroom shit so she'd probably be safer on land but the marines will be looking for all my known close associates... i'm gonna drop her off with mihawk. he trained those two other kids and the misanthropic fucker (affectionate) has probably found a new island by now anyways, since he isn't a warlord anymore. it should be fine. he'll say yes."

he sets out with his crew to follow mihawk's vivre card. benn and yasopp get the news coo and start laughing about something but they don't tell him, and whatever, he's going to see mihawk soon. he's definitely being led to land, which makes him feel vindicated, until it becomes more and more clear that the structure standing out on the shore is a huge big top tent, and there's an unfortunately very familiar flag flying, and shanks is like, "oh god, don't tell me," and then promptly has to dodge a flying fist and yelling about how he isn't welcome here and what the fuck is mihawk doing with buggy???? and benn and yasopp, having seen the cross guild poster in the news and hidden it from shanks, are laughing so hard at him while he deals with this momentary crisis where two completely different parts of his life have seem to connected without his knowing about it.

(buggy is happy to see uta bc for all that they fight shanks and buggy did make some sort of effort with their brotherhood every now and then so he knows uta and she calls him "uncle bugs"!; mihawk ofc says "yes" to taking care of her bc he feels qualified to handle young adults now lol (he says this with an air of gravitas that is hilarious when considering how he interacts with zoro and perona, which is stoically and poorly); uta makes fun of her dad relentlessly for not having made any moves on the guy he's been in a situationship with since she was a literal child; and croc comes home from a meeting to find international pop sensation uta (that the news said tried to take over the world during her concert or something???) reclined on their couch drinking tea. wild day for everyone.)

Well I see ur last answers on Byler and Mileven post and I would like to add my perspective on both of these ships realistically (because I like to poke my nose into others businesses /jk)

Well honestly speaking I love Byler, but here I'll try to be as unbiased as possible. Realistically speaking, both ships have their own pros and cons. Mileven did looked cute around 1-2 seasons (if we see it from general audience perspective) and while Byler (for me atleast) looked so much cute and healthy in season 2.

But look let's forget the fact that Mike can't say ily to El for a moment. Their ship still won't make sense, because Mike (when he asked El out) was around 11-12 yrs (as much as I remember). He cared and loved El but not romantically. He showed a genuine care for her because he suddenly founded her in woods (plus he thought she might know about Will). At this time I don't think he had crush on her. El was the first girl who had talked to him without being mean, so that is also the reason for him to act more soft towards her. But since it was first time for Mike to talk to a girl, so the other people around him (like - Lucas and Nancy) thought that he liked her. And Lucas was the one who was pushing this idea that Mike might be in love with her, and after sometime Nancy also confronted him about this. And since surrounding does affects you and it was his first time being friends with a girl, he later thought yes that might be the case. And El didn't even knew what a friend was, so how do we expect her to know the meaning of love is? In conclusion I think that both El and Mike likes this idea of being in love and they do love each other but as I said not romantically. They both don't act like themselves around each other and in last season they both lied to eachother. Both of them need to explore themselves and what they like and then should be in a relationship with someone they like.

While for Byler, I do believe it is much better than Mileven but again Mike still needs to find what he really feels and think. And as for Will, he does know that the kind of love that want is "not normal" in the sense of 90s. He do love Mike in a romantic way but he still tried to fix Mike's and El's relationship, because he cares for both of them. I'm not a Mike hater but him in season 3 and 4 just gives me mixed feelings. Mike outted Will and he during the time when he was supposed to find his "girlfriend", he started talking about how Will didn't talked to him the whole day. Which is actually kinda umm, weird? Like bro u are supposed to find ur girlfriend, so don't change the topic lol.

I'm still looking out for Mike's character development in season 5 because he has so much potential and he is more than "El's boyfriend".

I to be honest wouldn't mind if Byler doesn't becomes canon (actually I will but that's not the point here 🥲) but if Mileven becomes endgame then tbh it would be a kind of a fanservice. Like let's take bylers a side, the large number of audience are general audience and other are Milevens. Most of the general audience are homophobic and they go with basics . Not forget to mention that people still say in this date that "wait people ship Mike and Will??" El is a character who needs to be independent, her story doesn't revolve around finding a boyfriend but it's revolve around finding herself and learning the normal world. Mike is just boiled down to being El's boyfriend but he is more than that, so many people find him relatable and it's not a bad writting if something like this happens. If see from Will's perspective, then his story doesn't fully revolve around finding a partner but it still plays a important role in his character (since he thinks that he can't be loved by someone how he wants). I'm such huge fan of Will and I want what he feels is good for him, I just want to see him happy. I still hope that he comes out to Mike and Mike to comfort him, them having a heart to heart while comforting each other.

Mileven as a ship held a big potential in past but it wasn't taken serious as it should've been. Same goes for Byler, it have potential to be a good friends to lover story and duffers are giving us bit of hints but we will only what is gonna happen to them in season 5.

At the end I want all my three babies to have a happy ending which they deserve (⁠〃ﾟ⁠3ﾟ⁠〃⁠)

Ok here we go.

Nightmares. Oh hey look at that! I’ve actually got a fic with the word in its title, who knew! A spell for nightmares & fractured hearts is a short and fluffy lil fic about Buck helping Chris heal after the tsunami, and then Chris (and Eddie) helping Buck do the same. And because I’m allergic to fluff, I followed it up with part 2 in that series being long, whumpy and angsty. As for falling asleep, cuddling or insomnia, I can’t find anything in my quick search but I think I’ve written all of those in several of my fics, just not as a major part of the plot, more as part of the comfort part after the hurt usually.

Similar answer for chronic pain, I think? I’ve referenced it here and there in various fics but haven’t written on just about that. It’s a little bit too close to home for me, my dad has had 3 hip replacements (first because of major injury as a firefighter when I was 10, he fell through 3 floors in a burning building) so having lived with someone experiencing it, it doesn’t really appeal to me to write.

Buddie and hurt/comfort – um. Pretty much every single one of my Buddie fics?! I filtered my works with that tag and got 30 hits, so…. Here’s one I’m posting right now that I’m kinda proud of Pictures of You, in which Abuela dies post season 6, Eddie hurts and Buck comforts.

Buddie and angst – refer to above answer lol. If I had to choose a favourite, I think I’d choose empty, broken, lonely, hoping, my beloved presumed dead fic where Buck and Christopher are thought to have perished when Buck’s apartment building burns down and Eddie goes through several chapters of angst. It’s unrelenting really, poor guy. 4. Buddie AU – again, I’ve got several depending on your definition.

If you want a truly Alternate Universe, try I Once Was Lost. It’s a Peter Pan fusion where Buck is Peter, Eddie is Wendy Darling and almost all of the other characters feature in Neverland too. It covers from their childhood up until the end of season 5 and I have a particular soft spot in my heart for it.

If you prefer Canon Divergence, try There Walks Darkness. It’s basically What If Maddie didn’t kill Doug and he was arrested instead – and was one of the prisoners who took Buck and Eddie hostage in season 5? It features a lot of hurt Buck, Buck whump, worried Eddie and the 118, some of my favourite tropes to write.

And lastly, if you prefer supernatural AU, try Returned for a shorter read, which perhaps unsurprisingly is based on the movie and tv show… Returned.

Which reminds me of another supernatural AU that I can’t believe I forgot because I adore it! Trust Me, Darlin’ is my first collab, with the lovely @hella-cious! It's a Supernatural / 911 crossover in which Buck runs into an old hook up (Dean Winchester ofc) at a scene in LA and is promptly kidnapped before the 118’s eyes. Lots of angst and whump in this one and while there is Buck/Dean because lets face it, those two are far too hot not to ship together, it ends in Buddie (and Destiel too, for SPN fans!)

This will likely get long, so it's going under a cut. Also it will very likely get chaotic. There will be lots of ships, a variety of characters and lots of crossing over. don't hate me if your faved ship isn't here... omg now i have to try and not forget anyone LOL. so we're gonna start at the beginning.

Starting with an obvious Alex Cabot x Olivia Benson:

these two had chemistry, they flirted, they had lingering looks and touches. They had some form of relationship over s2-5. They definitely slept together, and had a lot of conflicting emotions as they tried to figure things out. I'd like to think that they were dating and in the midst of talking about making things official/taking it to the next level right before Alex got shot. They had no choice but to end it to keep Alex safe and by the time she got back in s11, things were different, weird, Alex wasn't the same person she was before and wasn't in the same place. They do try and go on a couple of dates after Alex has settled, but it's more of a "lets get this friendship back on track" because woof the girls be *fighting*

it wasn't what either of them expected, when Casey transfers into SVU Liz is her direct supervisor. It's not *wrong* but it's also a little on the shady side when it comes to breaking the rules. Which is exactly what pulls them together more. I think Liz sees a lot of herself when she was a baby prosecutor in Casey. She wants to protect her, esp after Alex has been "killed". This is proven by not once, but TWICE Liz steps down from the bench to defend Casey in court. They're fiery, it's a mentor/men-tee relationship that likely spurred into a sexual one somewhere along the way. It's also VERY likely that Liz helped Casey figure out her sexuality. Liz was married before, but is in the age range that gay marriage was wrong when she was growing up. Casey we know was brought up very catholic. So homegirl doesn't even know what's going on in he head, and after Charlie, she's not sure she wants to date a man again. Liz helps her figure that shit out, and likely guides her through a couple of sexual experiences and they kinda keep things going from there on. THEN in s9 we obviously see the absolute demise of their relationship. I still believe that Casey only returned to the DA's office after hearing that Liz retired. BUT, Liz had her called before the bar to SAVE her career and license (as McCoy earlier said he would yank her license if she fucked up again in Blinded)

It was supposed to be/actually was more casual with Liz, but because she was Casey's mentor, Casey valued her opinion of her a lot higher than she would have otherwise. Their emotional side of their relationship was very foggy and lines scrambled because of that kinda thing, if that makes sense?

Casey Novak x Melinda Warner

definitely dated. Melinda wants to protect her girl, they're bad ass crime fighter, break a few rules to do what's right. There are a few cases/episodes where you can tell they're definitely hanging out. I like to think that it had pretty good potential, but they just figured they'd be better off as friends. And again, casey disappears after her suspension.

these two didn't have anything happen sexually, but he was definitely crushing on her (can't blame him) and i think she accepted that dinner offer, but made it clear it was on a platonic base only. I think these two had such intertwined arcs across s9 that they definitely hung out a few times after work and I like to think that Casey goes to visit him in prison every couple of months (at one point i had a fic idea about that but i can't remember details now. LOL. maye it will return to me)

the ever favourite and popular ship despite only having one episode together. Now, in the "real world" these two likely would have known each other prior to alex's death, they would've worked in the same building, same social circles, hell they would've been at school at the same time. They're technically sharing the da's office in s12/13. Which is the prime time for their relationship. Alex is back in NYC, she doesn't really know how to be herself, she's not sure if she can/wants to do the job that almost killed her. She's unsure of herself, on shaky legs persay. Casey's waiting out her suspension, unsure of what to do, and if it's worth it to keep fighting. They somehow run into each other and that's when it all starts. They're both lonely, a little lost, don't feel like themselves anymore kinda thing. They find solace in each other, comfort, a sense of belonging. This is one of my fave ships for Casey, because it truly does have amazing potential. They date, it's serious, likely living together. I think they stick it out when Alex goes to the congo, but when she leaves the da's office again to do vigilante shit, they break up. Not that Casey doesn't support her decisions, they just know they have to go their separate ways.

Rafael Barba x Rita Calhoun

obviously they go on this list. They are a divorced couple who were never married. Whether they dated in college, or shortly after being back in NYC, it happened. Hell maybe it did actually get serious and that's why they know each other *so* well. But they just don't quite fit together long term. Rita spoils too much, Barba finds it overwhelming. (however when things open up to poly, I think they could definitely work) They remain really good friends and I'd honeslty believe they have a "50 and still single" pact kinda thing and are known to still hit each other up for sex because they know it's good and there's no annoying legwork of having to pick up someone new.

Rita Calhoun x Olivia Benson

Now, these two were never going to be endgame and EVERYONE knows it. It was never even a relationship. A couple nights here and there when they were both stressed and needed a relief. It's very likely far before Noah comes along, and Rita is very upfront about her views on children. It's more that they're friends who Olivia enjoys doing different things with that like, Cassidy won't do with her

Rafael Barba x Sonny Carisi

in the world where things make sense, Rafael would have likely been mentoring Carisi through his final year at law school, letting him sit second chair or do more help on the law side of case work with him. One ep of that was stupid, it shouldve been way more. I like to think that somewhere in one of those late nights, a couple glasses of scotch, there's admittance of "you know i don't actually hate you" "oh i know, you tease out of admiration" kinda thing that leads to a little more. I can see them actually dating, but I can also see it just being casual, cause Sonny still has heart eyes for amanda the entire time. Whatever they have going on obviously drops off the face of the earth when Barba leaves.

Rita Calhoun x Amanda Rollins

now this one, is a handful of hook ups and nothing more. Amanda is too chaotic for Rita, their worlds also don't collide very well. Amanda's more likely to be found smoking in some dive bar and avoid the high end places that Rita likes. I like to think that this happens somewhere between Amanda x Nick, and early s17 when Amanda finds out she's pregnant. i DO also believe that Rita kinda keeps her under her wing a bit, encouraging her to cut off her family, let her know if she ever needs help with things (and of course amanda is too stubborn to ever ask for that) but in moments where like, kim has fucked her over, yet again. Amanda finds some anonymous donation and it's like, this unspoken thing between them because you also can't say no to Rita.

William Dodds x Olivia Benson

again, they fucked your honour. and even if there were never officially "dates" they would regularly use each other as plus ones to events that they had to go to for work.

Rafael Barba & Olivia Benson

it never happened, but i had to include it. It was a constant "will they wont they" likely even with money down on it from the squad. They deeply care for each other, love each other, but can never quite figure it out. They're also both so fucking stubborn and there are times when they both have sticks up their asses and hold grudges, neither ever willing to admit defeat or apologize and they know that wouldn't be a healthy relationship.

Rita Calhoun x Casey Novak

my beloved.

these two are a ship that i will die for. It's one of if not the most solid relationship Casey has ever had. They might be endgame. While there's a chance that they would have crossed paths earlier on, they don't really start to pay attention to each other until post suspension/alex leaving.

They might have a case against each other, Casey might be finding prosecution a little stale for herself now. She wants something more. She was so intertwined with alex before that now that she's off pursuing something more, she feels the need to do the same, even if it's within the legal world. Enter Rita, where she can learn about working defence, but not necessarily criminal defence, ya know?

They end up complimenting each other super well, it's the prime golden retriever x black cat, and the smol/tall vibes, which is always hilarious because casey has like, four inches on rita. So i see them in a long term serious relationship.

Kat Tamin x Pippa Cox

Pippa's nervous post hank bs, simply returning to NYC is hard enough, but she finds this solace in Kat. She wasn't around for the whole thing so she doesn't have the subconscious judgment that a lot of other people have. Kat's great with the kids, she's got lots of energy and she's absolutely going to *worship* pippa. Pippa's also likely going to wean her onto a healthier eating style cause Kat is known to crush two pizza's and a litre of pop for dinner kinda thing. Endgame material.

Peter Stone & Sonny Carisi

now, these two haven't directly hooked up. it's not Peter's style. BUT, they've definitely had a few threesomes together with another girl. there's no doubt in my mind.

hello! i don't know why but i am craving such a deep level of angst lol. can i ask for a plot w steve h. where him and the reader are in a very heated argument, both yelling. it's not very common for reader and steve to argue, they barely do and reader has never seen steve so mad nor heard him raising his voice like that. neither the reader or steve realize this - how bad this whole thing has got to the reader emotionally - until reader goes to get a glass of water for themselves in the kitchen and slowly their state starts getting to their attention, their hands shaking, breath getting heavier. they try to call out steve's name as they start getting more alarming symptoms as blurry vision and heart pain but their voice barely comes out before they pass out. steve hears the glass shatter noise and that's when he gets alarmed and goes check.

eader doesn't realize how bad this whole thing had got to them emotionally until they distance themselves from the argument to the kitchen to get a glass

would it be enough if I could never give you peace?

With everyone safely dropped off at home—or, in Eddie's case, with a quiet, desolate place to sleep for the night—you think a warm shower and some cuddles, because God, could you use both, is in your future. But, instead, as soon as the front door shuts behind you, Steve is spinning around, pretty eyes clouded with anger as soon as they fall on you.

"What the fuck were you thinking?"

You freeze on the spot, mouth agape. Even if you had the slightest idea what he was talking about, you wouldn't have been able to articulate a response, completely taken aback by his tone.

His voice, usually smooth like honey, always filled with such affection for you, was almost unrecognizable. Hard, angry, loud—in six months of dating, he has never so much as raised his voice and you don't know how to handle it.

"Steve, I—"

"I told you to stay in the God damn boat and what do you do?"

"That's what you're mad about?" You can't help yourself, you scoff. Nothing about the situation then or now is humorous, but it is absurd.

"That's funny to you?" Steve bellows, the question is rhetorical, but you're going to answer it anyway.

"Of course not!" Thrown on the defensive, your shoulders stiffen, your brows furrow. You hate yourself for it, but you match his volume almost instantly. "But I don't know what you expected me to do."

"I expected you for once to just listen to me. That's it, just fucking listen."

He flings his arms out, an act of pure exasperation and you take a step back. Physically backing down, but certainly not verbally. Your boyfriend was in danger and you acted accordingly. Steve could throw as many temper tantrums as he wanted to but you did nothing wrong.

"I thought you were drowning and I was supposed to just sit there? Don't be stupid."

Stupid. A word Steve hated and was far too used to hearing. From his father, ex-girlfriends, and teachers. It followed him around like a shadow.

You weren't exactly calling him that but it didn't matter—treated like an imbecile, used to condescending answers and pitying looks, it set Steve further off anyway.

"Stupid?" He repeats it, tone venomous, spitting the word out through gritted teeth. "That's what this is about, isn't it? Your big buffoon of a boyfriend can't be taken seriously, huh?"

"You know that's not what I meant."

"No, I think it was," he disagrees, taking a step towards you. It's a subconscious movement, but one that sets you on alert.

Heart thumping wildly in your chest, body warm, pure adrenaline coursing through your veins, it's like you went back in time. In an instant, you went from a self-assured, confident young woman to the scared, lonely kid hiding in the stairwell, peeking from behind the door frame as your parents argued.

You didn't like that feeling then and you sure as hell don't like it now.

"You're dating the town idiot, right?" Steve continues. "Gotta make sure dummy doesn't get himself into trouble."

Deep down, Steve knows what he's doing and saying isn't okay. Nothing about this is constructive or helpful, but he can't stop himself.

Every time he closes his eyes, he sees it. He's in the Upside Down, the bats barreling down on him and, in that moment, convinced he's going to die, his mind is on you and only you. He can't think of anything more tragic than not being able to see you one last time.

But then, in an instant, you're there. Actually there, not just a figment of his imagination. When he's able to take that first deep breath, all he feels is relief. That feeling, though, once he remembers where he is—where you are—is replaced by anger.

By coming after him, you put yourself in danger and, with all the death-defying situations he had found himself in, that scared him more than anything.

Maybe if the two of you weren't screaming at each other you would have been able to read between the lines, to see what was really bothering him, but you were too far gone.

"You're not an idiot, I don't think that." You're desperate, hands shaking and mouth going dry, you want him to stop, to just drop it. "I just—I wanted to help."

"You don't get it, I didn't need your help."

Your gaze drops to his neck where an angry red ring mars the smooth, tan flesh. You jut your chin out, gesturing towards the wound. "Seems like you did need it, actually."

Instinctively, one hand goes up to cover the spot in question, hoping to conceal it. "We're not talking about me, we're talking about you and the stunt you pulled."

"Stunt? That was a stunt to you?" The trivializing of the situation, of just how much you cared and were willing to do for him, was the most insulting thing he'd said thus far. "Fine. My deepest apologies for saving your fucking life, then."

Okay, sure, it was a group effort ultimately. Had Robin, Nancy, and Eddie not also joined, you both would have been bat food, but you were the first to jump in after Steve and that should count for something.

"What, you want me to get on my hands and feet and thank you? I had it handled."

He most definitely didn't, but you didn't have it in you to argue. Not anymore. Between Vecna, the gate, and now this, you were drained.

You just didn't feel right. This awful feeling settled in the pit of your stomach, your chest felt tight and your cotton mouth only got worse.

"Whatever, I'm getting some water."

You brush past him as you head towards the kitchen. You have been inside the Harrington home more times than you could count so just grabbing a cup should have been an easy task. 

But your hands—why won’t they just stop moving?—made it damn near impossible.

“Shit, shit,” just above a whisper, you repeat the word like a mantra as if that would steady the appendage.

It worked too. Kind of, anyway. At least until it was time to head to the sink. Just a few steps away from your destination, the glass slips from your unsteady grasp, hitting the floor and shattering into tiny pieces.

“Oh god.”

If you were worried before, this new wave of panic kicks it up several notches. Steve was already so angry at you, that you didn’t want to even consider his reaction if he saw the mess you made.

So, when you hear him call your name from the other room, you drop to your knees, ready to clean it up. You just needed to buy yourself some time. 

You open your mouth but nothing comes out. The kitchen should have been silent but you could hear this awful noise. It’s labored, kind of wheezy and you wonder for a moment if there was something wrong with the fridge. It takes you a few seconds to realize it’s coming from you. 

You couldn’t breathe, not like normal. Your hand flies to your chest, the tightness  replaced with a stabbing pain, your heart still going a mile a minute, you hope even light pressure would relieve it enough to allow you to fill your lungs. It doesn’t happen.

You have your back pressed against the cabinet, hands dangerously close to the glass shards when Steve walks in. He heard something drop and your lack of response had him worried. He knew then and there something wasn’t right but that assumption still didn’t prepare him for the sight before.

“Baby?” Just like that, any petty frustrations fell to the wayside. All he felt was concern.

When he first saw you, he was worried Vecna had somehow cursed you, but when you looked up with wide, wild eyes he was relieved. Whatever was going on was more tangible, maybe he could actually help.

“What’s going on?” You don’t answer—you can’t—but he carries on, kicking glass out of the way so he can join you on the floor. “Look at me.” It feels impossible, a Herculean task, but you manage it somehow and when you do, he takes your hand. “Good, good. Let’s breathe, yeah?” He’s totally out of his depth, woefully unprepared, but he figures that can’t hurt.

Inhale, exhale.

Inhale, exhale.

You don’t know how long you’re sitting there with Steve just breathing but after a while, you start to feel better. The tension in your body eases, you feel almost calm, the color comes back to your cheeks. He notices it too.

“There’s my girl. What was that? Are you okay?”

“I’m fine. I guess I just got a little overwhelmed with everything going on. You know, the Upside Down, you being mad at me..” It’s a jab, yeah, but one you figured you earned the right to take.

“I wasn’t mad at you.” You quirk a brow and he sighs. “I really wasn’t. I was scared.”

It was hard for him to admit. He didn’t grow up talking about his feelings; that was not a lesson taught in the Harrington household, you pushed it down, ignoring it until you exploded. All he knew was passive aggression—thanks, mom—and full-on active aggression—thanks, dad—but healthy conversations were foreign to him.

But for you? He was willing to try.

“Why, though?”

“Because when you followed after me, you could have died. You shouldn’t be wrapped up in this stuff and it’s my fault that you are. You should be just a normal, ridiculously pretty girl in a lame small town totally unaware of this sci-fi shit. Going to college, dating a business major with a nice family.” And a real future.

“God, Steve, I gotta say... that all sounds really boring.” Neither of you are feeling particularly jovial but that still gets a smile out of him. You consider it a win. “I think it’s really sweet you want to protect me. But you gotta understand, I’m an adult. If I’m here, it’s because I wanna be.

“I love you, okay? And I want to be on whatever crazy ride you’re going on with you. You don’t have to like it, but when you have a problem, I need you to talk about it.”

How could he argue with that? “You’re right, totally right,” he agrees. “I love you too and I’m really sorry. I don’t—” I don’t want to be like my dad is what he wants to say, but instead he goes with, “I don’t want to hurt you.”

“I know.” And you do. He may not be perfect, but you truly believed everything he did was with the best intentions.

“Good. Now, let’s get you upstairs. I think someone could use a shower.”

“Rude!” You try to sound offended but fail.

With no complaints, you allow Steve to gently pull you to your feet and lead you towards the stairs. You were exhausted, things were still weird and you had a teen-killing interdimensional monster to deal with but you were still somehow feeling optimistic.

Imagine spock, technically an omega but functionally... a vulcan, who have ever different sexes/genders than humans, and so has experienced one (mild) heat and many mild suppression shots, and jim, big (lol) bad (nah) alpha (this is true) of the ship (most people would actually say this is scotty) beginning a very sweet relationship. Spock ain't no blushing virgin but okay he's not super adventurous and maybe vulcan has different views of sex than earth and maybe he just enjoys how loved and sweet jim makes him feel when they engage coitous ("we make love spock, please") so maybe it slips his mind the finer points of human sexuality for awhile until jim starts getting weirdly aggressive and territorial.

Okay, this is fine, he can handle this!! A rut can't be that different than pon farr, and even a strong human like jim cant hurt him too badly without serious effort. He can totally handle this. :) (he is both scared and horny.) "Spock, buddy, I'm gonna have to lock you two in," Bones tells him, and he thinks haha, another funny human joke! ... right? Only Bones is dead serious, and normally maybe he wouldve laughed but he kinda wants spock to actually know what he's getting into.

"Pardon?"

"I can lock your door too, if you don't want him getting in there and scenting and destroying everything. Yknow, the one in the bathroom?" Spock isn't sure how to answer. Bones keeps going. "You might want access though, in case you need to nest. His rut might trigger your heat, yknow? It's HIGHLY unlikely, but you might want that safety net, if you don't mind some ripped pillows. We can move the breakables now if we're fast enough and he doesnt hear me with you."

Turns out Jim is one of those alphas who's kicking snarling growling grabbing breaking in a rut and Bones had to deal with his territorial bullshit all through the academy. Luckily Bones never keeps anything of value anyway. Spock thinks Bones expects him to be scared by this, but instead something ancient and unknown to him in his vulcan blood purrs and stretches at the thought that he should willingly be allowed to go in that territory and be part of it.

Spock learns A LOT of things about himself during Jim’s rut :)

random question, but do you think that abio would have had a teeny little bit of a crush on ollie when he was younger? like, because ollie was being genuinely kind to him, which he wasn't expecting and very possibly wasn't used to, so his feelings of gratitude and appreciation and platonic love morphed into a bit of an infatuation? i might just be projecting a little bit, because if a dude who i thought was going to make my life absolute hell made me feel loved and appreciated, i would probably catch feelings lol, but i am curious.

(also this isn't me being like "ohhhh abby should have ended up with ollie instead of ponti arrrrggggghhhhh" because i absolutely love all of the current pairings i'm just curious about the inner workings of abby's brain lol)

"WHELL realistically speaking yeah he probably did a little bc u gotta think the wee lad never had a friend in his life and was severely touch starved, then suddenly a big muscular popular jock who's genuinely nice wants to be his friend now so it's more so a mild case of ''is this person being nice to me or am I in love with them'' lmfao so I wouldn't doubt Abby had a lil crush on him plus it probably confirmed his Hunch of being gay BUT im not going to hint at this in the comic bc i don't want there to be this Big thing abt shipping Ollie and Abby and for me to make it look like im ''dangling a carrot'' when in reality it's mainly portraying the growth of their friendship and basically letting Abby experience what genuine platonic love is before he experiences romantic love w/ Ponti. imo i think its a lil important to portray Abby having friends first and knowing social interaction in general for lack of better words b4 The Ponti Era begins so to speak lmao i just think its important in general life to have a strong friend support system and not just romantic relationships so im essentially showing that with Abio n Ollie.

Another reason why im not going to go into it in the comic is bc whenever Ponti does come around and Ollie has a very understandable hatred for Ponti because of what he did in the past i don't want that to be downplayed as "ooOoOOh lOvE tRiAnGlE Ollie's jealous ooOooO owoowo" the tension between Ollie n Ponti comes down to pretty serious stuff and i dont want the possibility of it being seen as petty relationship drama bullshit as a sorry attempt for a underhanded plot device sO yeah i already occasionally see comments abt shipping Ollie n Abio which is fine i think thats inevitable but I'd rather not play into that by hinting that Abby has a tiny crush on Ollie"

AAAALL that being said i am contemplating maybe hinting a tad bit at Abby kinda getting flustered by Ollie but I'd want it to be more of an Abby exclusive thing as in it's something that He's dealing with not just an empty "ooh he has a crush on Ollie will they get toGeThErR???" basically like a foreshadowing to Abby coming out that way when he does come out (which thats gunna be like a big breakthrough chapter not just a 'look he's gay everyone please clap' ) its not seemingly out of the blue and like i just Made Him Gay at the last minute yknow what im sayin

I am a college student, and my sign is Cancer, and my personality is basically this: I am a smartass who owns it, clumsy af-always keeps breaking and losing stuff, has a teensy bit of leader instinct, pretty good at speeches, but at the same time I'm pretty childish, and people immediately assume I am very innocent due to my babyface™ when in fact I'm not lmao. I'm very good at using my cuteness to get my way, no one can resist me hehehe and I'd also call myself a pretty good singer! But I can get whiny and pouty when I don't get my way. I am a girlie girl who still loves pink lol! I love reading books so much that I forget the world around me when I start a book. I love music, especially singing. I can also be dramatic af. I am also hopelessly romantic, and want to be swept off my feet. I'm super optimistic, and try to look at the bright side. I can also be crazy and weird at times. Also can get ridiculously clingy - I'm a very lovely dovey person, I'll be randomly hugging and smooching my loved ones whenever I feel like it, and the sort of person to blurt out ily at the most random times. I love it when ppl remember a very teensy weeny detail about me and when they take the effort to try something just cause I recommended it. Especially if it's books and music. I have a very dumb sense of humour, and I tend to be unintentionally funny to people. I've also got a very short temper, and the moment my patience wears thin shit goes down and I turn into a screaming banshee lol.

Physically, I'm a shortie so I get teased very much about it and tho I've gotten used to it over the years it still bothers me. Also super insecure about my thicc thighs and big butt 😩 andddd I have a very tiny button nose which again was the butt of many jokes since school but I've learnt to embrace my cute nose! I do have a nice dimpled smile and that's the only physical feature about myself that I like. My eyes are kinda big too, not bambi-big, but still, pretty big. Again, like I mentioned, I have a babyface so people think I'm still in school 💀 and my high pitched voice doesn't help either.

In short, people describe me as a cute, smart and sunshiney person. I think that pretty much sums me up! Whoops that turned out longer than expected, sorry :(

3) Least favorite canon thing about James Watson?

The fact that he died at the end of season 1? I have headcanons to fix it, and I know that the actor was just a guest star, but I still wish. I think he was only in 5 episodes but he has such importance in my mind, he’s more of a main character than actual main characters to me. That answer feels a bit of a cop-out. I suppose… he was judgy for a minute with Helen in Tempus. I wasn’t fond of that but it didn’t last and a century of time travel would be a lot for anyone to just roll with.

16) What's your least favorite ship for James?

I will check the AO3 tags! Wow ok… yikes. There’s a real variety which I was not expecting. I have been in fandom long enough I should not be surprised and yet I am. There’s James/Will which no, just no. I think the one I have to go with is disliking the most is James/Ashley which… I do try and be ship and let ship but Ashley is Helen’s daughter! and so to me that is like James’ daughter and so I am shuddering. Absolutely not.

8) What's something the fandom does when it comes to John that you despise?

lol well you kinda already know this as I used it as my “unpopular opinion”. The abusive wife-beating misogynistic bastard. That answer feels a bit redundant as you knew that. It’s the only one I really have though.

John is mostly just reduced to the Ripper. I have done that a lot too because it is such a pivotal storyline. It changed everything and then it lasted for well over a century. It is a fascinating arc. So I definitely don’t despise that but he is a character apart from that too. There was a before, and there could be an after.

24) What other character from another fandom of yours that reminds you of them?

Oh! I think I talked about this once before - Rumplestiltskin.

The whole “possessed by an evil demon” which is like an insidious inner voice that twists everything. I’m pretty sure I made a gifset about this once. Oh yeah here it is. The transition is a bit quick. I should fix that but hopefully the sentiment can be seen.
