20 may 2023 Saturday 3:23 am pt
I know child rape happened more recently. Back in 2008 I learned that child rape victims became in continent. Last year I learned my cousin knew, who is now 21, Bcz she personally knows someone her age who was raped when she was a child 🧒 and became incontinent. 3:25 am pt ick.
I would NEVER want to be married to a god like that. 3:26 am pt
3:26 am pt they have shown me they can edit photographs and print it out as if it was taken with 35 mm film 🎞, and videos, and your memory. They can and do change history all the time. Now I fear he changed the Diane sawyer interview. 3:28 am pt Bcz what they do is shameful and they know it and they don’t plan to own up and stop 🛑. They will never 👎 stop 🛑 like they say in harder to breathe 🧘🏻‍♀️. They intentionally mislead with the line about the monster 👹 that lives in the little girl 👧 dream 😴. 3:30 🕞 am pt david Scott cano is their king 🤴 their favorite and he accepts them as they are even though they are liars. 3:31 am pt
6:59 am pt incubus miñion next door 🚪 made me cry out in pain all morning and then he acts like he is innocent 😇 and annoyed when he comes out of his room. Are those nasa backpacks 🎒 exclusive or are those for everyone? Incubus joke of shakugan no Shana stuff. I saw 👀 a nasa backpack 🎒 in 2015? Next door 🚪 to Brendan when we were all neighbors. He said he came from Los Angeles but never talked to me. 7:03 am pt he’s been relentless this morning. I had nausea tummy aches stabbing pains in my abdomen and diarrhea that looks like lemon 🍋 juice 🧃 and I think 💭 I have the taste 👅 of mayb vinegar in my mouth 👄. Back left ribs pain. This pain started in 2017 when they were my neighbors. Autocorrect: mother next. He attacked my mother too. She lost a lot of bones 🦴 this year. We both started losing bones 🦴 at the same time in the hips, 2017 I think 💭 . My mom had a great figure until 2017, too. 😞 incubus miñion doesn’t care that “Brendan” might be Adam and that he offered to buy me plane ✈️ tickets 🎫 to have s*x with him in 2001, and he wanted me to probably say we were boyfriend and girlfriend then, too. No one cares Bcz he holds all the power. 7:09 am pt he tortured my *ss a lot recently and this morning burning it with acid making it bleed a lot. 7:10 am pt it makes me unable to breathe 🧘🏻‍♀️ and my abdomen turned a weird dark beige color. 7:11 am pt I’m afraid to lay down but I’m tired 😓 tired 😴. 7:11 am pt they punished me profusely (?) probably for the things I wrote and did not write ✍️ (abdomen pain 7:12 am pt) they keep trying to push a memory on me that I’m uncertain if it’s real. Or if they made it up. Either way, there was no penetration of Scott’s p*nis until he took off the condom. My vag seemed to have a mind of its own I thought 💭. I thought 💭 it was a sign 🪧 that I really didn’t want to have s*x at all with Scott that day, like I told him “I don’t think 💭 we should be doing this.” 7:16 am pt left ribs pain harder ! They are going to punish me again!!!! 7:17 am pt 😫😖😭 I can’t take this anymore! 7:17 am pt
7:23 am pt they changed my photos and my face so people won’t believe that I could have been prettier. They also changed my sister’s pictures, too. The incubus miñion probably did it for him so this is basically him not caring about the truth. And trying to hide it for him. 7:26 am pt they’re all like that. They like s*x with minors:15 & 16 year old girls. Maybe younger? When they’re 21 & 22 and older. 7:27 am pt. This is not a fake out. They’re really killing me and changed history to hide their ugly truth. 7:28 am pt
8:20 am pt they want me to write ✍️ that I tried to get his p*nis to penetrate me first, that he laid down first and then got up and I laid down after he got up 🆙. I don’t remember this part at first so I didn’t write it but now it is starting to feel like a real memory. 8:22 am pt
11:58 am pt my anus was eaten by acid. It is probably not where it is supposed to be. It hurts a lot. 12 pmpt those who have seen me know that this is real. 12 pmpdt
4:56 pmpt they want you to doubt if some of the crimes are real Bcz it allows them to have more freedom from those who would find it unacceptable to be forced by a higher power. Dolphin 🐬. Died. B4 2017? A lot. They do a lot of shameful things without shame. 4:58 pmpt
12:03 am pt I realized that all that running 🏃🏻‍♀️ I did was (ass stingy pain 😞 been bloody 🩸) was probably to make me more miserable in the present time back then. Track and cross country running and trying to p.r. On every mile was extremely hard. A team mate once asked me if I enjoyed running 🏃🏻‍♀️. Practice was a lot of times hard so I no longer enjoyed running 🏃🏻‍♀️ and I told her I enjoyed the results [of being able to eat more rather than the actual running 🏃🏻‍♀️ ]. The incubus miñion made my mom buy me sour grapes 🍇 today Bcz I thought 💭 of this a few days (big toe bone 🦴 pain 😖😭) he likes to smile I think at the thought 💭 of my death ☠️ Bcz in Japanese shi character looks like it’s smiling and shi means death ☠️. The Japanese are so much into cleanliness in their homes 🏠 that maybe 🤔 they look 👀 forward to death ☠️? Could they be suffering too? Idk 🤷🏻‍♀️ 12:10 am pt I’m also sour that the incubus put some effort into deceiving me by visiting me more recently I thought 💭 but I didn’t look 👀 directly at him so I’m not sure 🤔 but they wanted me to believe it was him. They made me imagine him sitting on top of me a few years ago when I was h*rny. But I think back to my life and think 💭 that there probably was no adequate times in my life for him that there is no way we could have dated the incubus way. 12:13 am pt seems more probable that he isn’t spending any time at all with me now. Only his miñion to kill me and do it in a miserable way making me feel miserable most of the time if not all the time. Anus felt a little more on the raw side today and very painful each extra strength application of acid. 12:16 am pt this acid on my anus is probably not new to me. I don’t remember well anymore but I did think so earlier when I recalled diarrhea when I was ≈9 years old at my dad’s. 12:17 am pt
12:27 am pt how do I know he’s smiling? He lets me know by forcing me to smile b4 or after I feel pain. 12:28 am pt
12:29 am pt he likes to do a lot of petty mean things to me after I tell him what I think of him. He ruins my things and makes me waste stuff even though I have no money 💰 left and he makes sure I know that he is retailiating. 12:31 am pt I told him I thought 💭 he was a child rapist and he has been extra hard every time. Makes me think 💭 that he’s extra guilty but has no shame. 12:32 am pt

(READ BEFORE READING THE STORY) SYNOPSIS: It's been six years since the downfall of All for one and his allies leaving Japan in an era of peace but for Y/n it also past several years since she run away from her problem but now she is finally back from the same country she tried to escape, Japan, will truly escape from the ghost of her past and from him?
Word count= 2,410 edit 15/09/2021
CHAPTER ONE: ARRIVAL MASTERLIST NEXT CHAPTER
It was still early in the morning when she arrived in Japan, but she could already see the ocean of people surrounding her from men in business suits, people running to catch their flight and parents with crying babies in their arms . She was wearing a thick jacket considering the winter weather outside and with her travel bags in her hands, she was walking the big hallway of the Narita airport. It's been four years since the last time she visited her home country but now she decided to take a couple of months of vacation to stay in Japan, before going back to New York where she is currently living.
She couldn't believe that only hearing people around her speaking Japanese could put her in such a good mood, almost forgetting the exhausting feeling of the sixteen hours of flight, but Japan as wonderful it is as a country is also the same place she tried to escape and leave everything behind her family, her friends, her job and especially Katsuki and every memories tied with him.
Living in New York gave her a lot of opportunities to meet and become friends with many people from different backgrounds, she learned a completely different culture compared to Japan and most importantly living in New York gave her the opportunity to achieve the job of her dream, being a writer.
As good as it is to live in New York, there were moments that made her want to buy a one way ticket to Japan ,especially for the first few months that she lived there, mainly when she had a tough day at work and she only wanted to comfort herself with a Kenchinjiru, that her mother usually prepare particularly when she had a long day or how her best friend Yuga, tried to cheer her up by sending boxes of cheese in her home but of course all of this are impossible to achieve because both of them are 6,755 miles (10 871 km) far away from her.
How every night the moon was the only witness of her shedding tears on her pillow, trying to find comfort in her loneliness, when the only thing she wanted to see were her parents, her sister Eri and friends but ,of course, the only way to talk to them were through phone calls and video calls but now after years of video calling, she can finally see them in person and she can't wait to hug her  friends and to hug her  mother and of course the main reason she came back to Japan, was to see her mother's wedding with the man she will soon marry, the UA professor Aizawa.
She was walking near the exit of the airport until Y/n heard her phone ringing, a smile appeared on her face as she saw it was her best friend Yuga Aoyama called her.
"Bonjour ma chérie Y/n," he said.
"Good morning Yuga,".
"Look I know I already told you before but I'm so sorry for not coming to see you directly in the airport but I have an urgent meeting to attend this morning in my agency," he explained to her.
"It's ok Yuga, I completely understand that you have hero stuff to do and besides now that I'm back up we can finally see each other in person and that's the only thing that matters and also if it makes you feel better I didn't even ask to my parents to pick me up because you know they are both already stress for the wedding preparation," she tried to reassure him.
"Well Y/n chan if you understand the reason I didn't come, why did you refuse to accept my piece of offer by picking you up by my personal butler with my favourite limousine," he told her nonchalantly.
"Well Yuga chan you know how I dislike being in the center of the attention and picking me up with your golden limousine with your personal butler will certainly catch the eye of the attention-"
"But Y/n!!! You deserve to be in the eye of the attention c'mon you are one of the most famous and bestselling writers in the world. Everybody should know who you are and as your best friend it's my duty to let the world even better the whole universe how an amazing writer my best friend is but instead you preferred to remain anonymous. There are a lot of my friends that read your books but I can't show off to them, their favourite writer is my one and only best friend,". He said before interrupting her.
As much as she appreciates the compliment from her best friend it wasn't important for her to receive the attention from the public because she know how the press can be brutal with their opinion or how can fan's be intrusive towards the privacy of their favourite celebrity that's why she remained anonymous, hiding her real identity under the name of Ariadne. The same Ariadne that helped Theseus to defeat the Minotaur and even after all the help from  the princess of Crete this didn't stop Theseus from abandoning his former lover in the island of Naxos. Y/n always thought that the tragic story of Ariadne was similar to her own life story but with the only difference being in her existence there wasn't a Dionysus who would save her from her despair  in life.
"Yuga I appreciated your thought but-" she said before something caught her eyes.
"Y/n, Y/n channn what's wrong???????,".
Blond spiky hair.
Red fierce eyes.
Black and orange hero costume.
The man in the tv news was definitely him.
FLASH NEWS:
Just a few minutes ago the number two hero Dynamite just saved twenty people from a collapsing building. All of the twenty victims are all safe except for a few scratches the number two hero Dynamite just saved the day.
She saw him from the big screen of the airport after saving all of the victims. Every  journalist wanted to interview him but as always Katsuki ignored them. She noticed people around her started to talk about him.
'Young people should be more like him' she heard from an old man.
'He sure does have a harsh personality but at least he's hot' a highschool student said to her friend.
'Nahh man Deku is far way better than him' she chuckled hearing that statement from a boy who is wearing Deku merchandise.
Katsuki's hatred for the journalist was the same as when he was a teenager. From the tv news she noticed that he was the same as ever except his hair was a little longer than before instead he was better than the last time that she saw him in the hospital bed of that day six years ago.
Meanwhile Yuga's friend tried to call for her attention but she was too distracted to notice her friend.
"Y/n are you still there,".
"Sorry I just got distracted… I just saw him on the news,".
"You mean Bakugo, after all these years I still can't believe that he chose his hero name as God of explosive destruction Dynamight, what a tacky name,".
She laughed how dare he define what a tacky name is when his hero name is literally 'Can't Stop Twinkling', " Yuga chan you are literally the same person who named himself as Shining Hero: Can't Stop Twinkling".
"Y/n chan my hero name is a fantastic hero name". Sure, let's pretend that's true, she thought. "Anyways it's inevitable for you to see Bakugo all over the place , after all he is the number two hero. Y/n are doomed to see him everywhere but what will you do if you ever see him in person?," he asked. Yuga was right, I'm doomed to see him everywhere I go from the tv news, magazines and especially from the people who wore his merchandise. After all Katsuki is the number two hero of this country but meeting him in person is another story, she thought.
"Me?. Meeting him again?. In person?. I might sell my soul to the devil rather than having a slight possibility of meeting him face to face. I just hope he doesn't resent me for what I did to him six years ago," she said with an obvious concern in her voice.
"Y/n chan what you did to Bakugo was the right decision you made at that time. Don't be too hard on yourself. Don't forget that you are not the only one who made a mistake. Bakugo has his own faults too,".
"Thank you Yuga I don't really know what to do without you,".
"De rien ma chérie you know you just need to call me and your knight in shining armour will save you. But now my staff just called me, I need to go to another meeting bye bye ," he said.
"Au revoir mon chérie,".
Tumblr media
It takes three hours of travel to arrive at the city of Musutafu and moments like this made her want to have a teletransportation quirk but instead she has a  disease immunity quirk which means that her organ systems are more enhanced than the average human and her body are immune to every kind of disease like bacteria, viruses, or even parasites.
She was very grateful for the quirk that she received but she rather have a teletransportation quirk instead doing a three hours of travel in a taxi. From the taxi window she noticed the familiar landscape that the various city she pass has to offer from the numerous temple of Narita city, to the familiar landscape of towers and the busy streets of Tokyo, to the view of the Mount Fuji in the city of Fuji and after several hours of driving finally she arrived at her parents house.
To greet her in the entrance there was a man in his forties wearing a set of black pjs.
"Welcome home Y/n, how was the trip?,".
She hugged him even though he appears to be a cold person to a lot of people. She knows how affectionate he can be, "Dad I miss you too and for the trip tiring as always but not as teaching to a bunch of kids."
"I know right. Come on, let's go inside. I will take care of your luggage, your mother and sister is waiting for you inside,".
"There is also Eri? I thought she can't make it today because she has to stay in UA to study for her some exam," as soon as she said it a white hair girl was running toward her.
"Neeee-chan I miss you so much". She said enthusiastically while hugging you tightly. "Tell me did enjoy your trip?"
"Eriiii, god, I miss you too. But what are you doing outside without wearing a jacket, c'mon let's go outside we don't want our future heroin to get a cold right?" She said with a smile towards her sister.
Once she entered the house of her parents she noticed that nothing changed since the last time she visited the old black couch in the living was still there and the several pictures attached to the wall where some of it was her when she was still a baby, one in her kindergarten school uniform, some silly picture of her and Eri,one picture of her when she graduated UA and one big family picture. Thankfully her parents decided  to take off the picture of her and Katsuki together during their graduation day.
"Y/n,".
"Mother-" she didn't even finish what she wanted to say before her mother embraced her in a tight hug.
"How are you?. How was the flight?. Are you tired?. Do you want to rest or do you want to eat first?,".
She embraced her mother more, finally hugging her after five years of not seeing her, "Mom mom I'm fine and yeah I want to eat first".
"Perfect. Come in the kitchen I prepared your favourite  dishes,".
Once she entered the kitchen the first thing she saw was a vase of red and white camellia's , her favourite flowers, and also she notice the table already set and all of her favourite dishes were on the table.
"Come on, let's eat," Her father said.
"So honey, how is your job doing?" Her mother asked while passing a bowl of rice to Aizawa.
"Honey..." her dad tried to warned her mom.
"It's alright dad, well I think you already what happen this last few months with my job and I talk with my agency and we agreed that I should take a long vacation from writing and work in general and I think this vacation is also great for my health,".
Her sister praised her, "Nee-chan I red your books and I think they are amazing those people really don't know what they are talking about," she patted her sister head she was grateful for having a young sister like her.
"While I agre with your sister that's great to hear that taking care of your health considering the only thing you do is working and how long will you stay with us?" Her mother asked her.
"I talked with my agency and they agreed that I can take six months of vacation so I plan to stay in Japan for three months and then go back to New York to plan for my next book,". She said cutting a small piece of chicken Katsudon.
"I'm more surprise that you finally decided to take a long vacation considering  that for six years you worked almost non-stop and your mother is right Y/n, you should take advantage of this long holiday that's given to you to take care of your health properly and you can extend your stay here in Japan for a longer period, me,your mother and your sister are more than happy to spend more time with you before you go back to New York,". Aizawa told her daughter before passing to her a plate of tempura that she can't reach.
"Thanks dad but I'm old enough to take care of myself,".
"You old enough? Who was the one who almost forgot that today she has a flight to take and if I didn't call her, she would definitely lose her flight,".
"Ok ok ok dad I understand now but enough of talking about me, how's the wedding preparation going?"
They both decided that they will have a small wedding, the guests will be their close friends, some of their co-workers and some of their neighbours. Y/n mother was the one who talked the most about the wedding where is the venue going to be,the stress about deciding what food to serve for the guest, the fact that her wedding dress is not still ready but most importantly how she can't wait for these two months to pass quickly so she can marry Shota.
Of course the last statement made her father slightly red in the face, making all of them laugh.
During lunch she noticed the way her parents look at each other full of love made her question herself if one day she can find her own happiness in love but she knows deep down to herself that she already found it a long time ago and lost it.

New blurbs-series: 10 days to my birthday!! (Day 2)
Tumblr media
(Not my gif)
Author Masterlist - Series Masterlist
My birthday will be in 2 days from now. So I’m going to celebrate myself with 10 Spencer Reid’s blurbs. Enjoy!.
Day 10 | Day 09 | Day 08 | Day 07 | Day 06 | Day 05 | Day 04 | Day 03 | Day 02 | Day 01
Day 02: Spencer Reid calls you his wife for the first time.
Possibly this was the first minute you had all day to sympathize with your poor feet. The day had started early. Visit to salon with the BAU girls, then go to your apartment to pick up your clothes. Go to Penelope's house where you would make the preparations and then end up at Rossi's with your nerves on edge because the groom and his best man had not shown signs of life for hours.
“He regretted it, he doesn't want to marry me anymore... and knowing Spencer, he doesn't know how to tell me!”. You began to ramble as Emily and JJ tried to keep your nerves calm.
“(Y/N), you have to calm down. Spencer would never do that to you,” JJ told you trying to make you see reason.
“Then why isn't he here? Why isn't Morgan here either?... damn it! I don't want to be a hysterical bride, but nobody is helping me here!!!,” you complained.
“Hey Hey... drink this,” Prentiss handed you a glass of something that must have had liquor in it. At this point you weren't willing to question anything so you drank it all at once and let the burning go down your throat.
They were right, Spencer would never do something like that to you. After two years of relationship, the two of you still seemed like two teenagers in love. When he proposed he was so nervous that he almost lost his balance and fell to the ground while kneeling in front of you. And you were so equally nervous that you almost fell on him when you said yes.
No, he definitely wouldn't do something like that. Then something bad had happened to him. Your expression became rigid again and immediately JJ and Emily noticed. ‘They sure had a minor problem (Y/N), it shouldn't be anything serious,’ Emily told you trying to get that thought out of your head.
When you were going to refute Emily, JJ's phone started ringing. It was Morgan. You froze for a couple of seconds until JJ hang up the call.
“Everything is fine. They are both fine. They had a problem with the car on the way here and Morgan tried to repair it without success. Their phones were dead and now the tow truck picked them up. They are on their way here”.
You felt your body relax again, not before letting go of the promise to kill Spencer for having his phone without charge for the umpteenth time.
When Spencer and Morgan managed to get to Rossi’s, they were immediately taken to a changing room. JJ told you there were 15 minutes away from the ceremony and the people were all gathered in the backyard. Now your nerves began to surface again, but they were anxiety nerves. You just wanted to see Spencer and know that everything was fine and that you both could indeed take this new step in your lives.
You walked down the aisle by Hotch's arm. Since you lost your parents at an early age, Hotch had become the closest father figure in these years. He gladly accepted when you asked.
Down the aisle you could see Spencer with bright eyes when he saw you. A smile from ear to ear that said 'everything will be fine'. When you got to Spencer' side, Hotch released your arm, looking seriously at Spencer. “Make her happy or don't come back to the BAU,” he murmured. You couldn't help but smile seeing as Spencer nodded nervously at Aaron's threat.
Spencer took your hand and didn't take his eyes off you nor did you take your eyes off him until Rossi cleared his throat to get your attention. When you told the team that you were getting married, everyone was happy for you both. It was news that was eagerly awaited. One of the things you guys discussed with Spencer was whether someone from the BAU could celebrate the wedding. You both thought of Rossi and when you told him the idea, he didn't hesitate for a second: ‘for my little ones, I would do whatever was necessary’.
“Today we are gathered here for a very special reason. The love between these two young souls who decided to join their paths for the rest of their lives...,” Rossi began to speak. You could feel Spencer's hand grip yours tighter with every word that came out of Rossi's mouth.
When it came time for the vows, Spencer's voice was shaky but confident.
“(Y/N), the first time you agreed to go for a coffee with me I knew that something special could be between us. I must confess I wanted to be your friend at all costs. But it was not long before I realized that it was not enough for me be your friend. But you know that it took me a lot to tell you how I really felt about you. I was afraid ... I was afraid that you didn't feel the same and afraid to realize in my head I was imagining impossible things. But you gave me the best of surprises when you told me you had feelings for me. That's when I understood that I couldn't waste any minute of being with you. I began to treasure our conversations, our naps on the jet, our secret kisses. Everything. I love you (Y/N), more than I thought I could love anyone. I want to be by your side for the rest of my life. And if you let me, I promise to make you the most loved woman in the universe”. You could see how tears came out of Spencer's eyes, as well as tears came out of your eyes.
“Spencer. I thought a lot about what I was going to say at this point and I had a hard time deciding what words to use. I'm not as good at using words as you are, but here I go. From the first day I met you I was surprised by your concern and care for every person that was around you. When you saw that I was feeling overwhelmed, you respected my space and did not pressure me. On the contrary, you were attentive and took small steps with me. Over time I could tell that it was your nature and that was the first thing that I fell in love with you. Always by my side, ready to support me. You have been my emotional support in the most difficult cases, you have been the one who encourages me when I’m sad. All those little gestures made me fall in love with you every day. I love you Spencer Reid, and I am eager to see what the future has in store for us, because I am sure it will be something good. Being by your side, it cannot be otherwise”.
You were both crying by now. You could see that even Rossi had some tears running from his eyes. After the rings and repeating the promise of love, Rossi declared you both husband and wife. It didn’t matter the people around you guys at that moment, Spencer kissed you passionately and you reciprocated in the same way. Applause and shouts of happiness were heard, while you continued kissing. When you pulled away, Spencer whispered in your ear “I love you, my wife”. You couldn't avoid the shivers in your spine. “I love you, my husband”, you also replied in a whisper. You both grinned, while with your hands linked you both walked down the aisle to be congratulated by all your friends and family.

Supernatural Fair Fight Livestream Recap with timestamps
(based off of the notes I took while watching live. any errors are mine and not the fault of the cast or abrams)
21:01 Panel Starts. Misha introduces panel- Stacey Abrams, Jensen Ackles, Jared Padelecki, Erik Kripke, Berto the ASL interpreter.
21:02 Stacey Abrams talks about how she got into SPN. Talks about running for governor(?) in California(?), having trouble gathering support/campaign funds. On a particularly bad day, ends up watching SPN in her hotel room. Loves it, ends up watching the whole show after this. Quotes “Even if it’s hard we can’t stop” and “who else is going to do this” and talks about keeping going.
21:05 Kripke: “Wow”
Ackles: “That’s one of the most beautiful interpretations of what we do, how we tell the story.”
21:06 Kripke: “Grateful we could provide inspiration”
21:07 JarPad: *reiterates above* joke about how “Kripke’s writing is questionable at best.”
21:08 Misha: “The reason we tell stories is to inspire people” creates an allegory about the ‘invisible enemy’ of voter suppression with the invisible enemy trope common in storytelling. “As we made the show, we were taking inspiration from [Abrams]”
21:09 Kripke asks Abrams to tell more about Fair Fight
21:09 Abrams talks about a secretary of state(?) [whose name I didn’t catch but who JPad refers to as ‘Lucifer”] who was in charge of voter registries in Georgia who wrongfully removed thousands of voters from lists, closed essential polling locations, and prevented people from voting, which disproportionately impacted POC and youth voters, and led to 8+ hour wait times in remaining locations. Abrams tells of how her and FF acted to fix this and change the whole system for the better. “If this becomes about politicians, no one is going to care, but when it becomes about people’s [list of basic rights and essential services]...” “...Patriotic belief that democracy means that if you’re eligible to vote, you get to be heard. Fair Fight is committed to ensuring that every voter in the US has the right to vote, and we are pretty good at it.”
21:16 Misha voices concerns about Trump’s attempts to make the 2020 vote counts seem unreliable.
21:17 Abrams gives an in-depth history of voter suppression in the US, committed by both parties at various times, including restrictions on mail-in votes, ID laws, and something about the voting rights act.
21:18 A bunch more panelists join in, including Jake Abel, Felicia Day, and a number of other SPN cast members.
21:19 Abrams says that in Texas a gun license is a valid id to vote, but a college id is not. “Everyone should get to participate, not just the chosen.” Mentions that she has not seen the final 3 episodes yet, request no spoilers until she logs out.
21:22 Kripke thanks Abrams for her political work.
21:22 Felicia Day says she was very excited to meet Abrams at Dragon Con.
21:33 Misha and Kripke try to move panel along to comply with Abrams limited time availability.
21:24 Rachel Miner “We all admire you [Abrams], you’re our hero.”
21:25 JPad gives a long speech thanking Abrams that was too fast to write down verbatim. “It’s important that everyone have their own voice” says it’s an honor to meet Abrams.
21:26 Bob Singer asks a question about Purdue(?) not showing up to a debate.
21:27 Abrams gives a detailed answer about swing states, swing voters, the lack of swing voters in Georgia, and the relatively small impact that Purdue(?) missing a debate would have on his numbers. Long speech about mail-in voting.
21:29 Sebastian Roche asks a question about run-off votes. Abrams answers.
21:30 Rachel Miner asks a question about voter registration descrimination against people w foreign names.
21:31 Abrams talks about how this has happened and what Fair Fight is doing to combat it, and how Fair Fight’s legal actions have managed to significantly reduce the amount of mail-in ballots thrown out for having difficult to understand names on them.

They go over, convince the masseuse [who knows them all at this point] to let JPad take over. Seb does not notice, despite the fact that the masseuse is a small woman and JPad is holding his hands weird to try to make them smaller. JPad says he put his hands down Seb’s back and up his shirt, and Seb still did not notice, just making a noise and saying ‘very nice’. JPad gets as far as groping Seb’s ass before Seb notices anything is up. This is still the middle of a busy airport.

Jensen talks about how the cast is sticking together “This group is not being dispersed”...”I take comfort in knowing this” jokes that they’re stuck together whether they like it or not.
Misha “Like herpes”
Felicia “Genital or otherwise”
22:07 gag reel begins, including Misha’s ‘on-camera finger, Jensen falling off a chair “furniture could use some work”, Jensen failing to pick a lock for a very long time and Jared asking ‘Cas” to open it, Jensen saying ‘hail misha’ instead of ‘hail mary’, Misha failing to keep a straight face while looking at Alex Calvert, Jensen eating something too hot(?), and more that someone has probably already uploaded in full anyway.
21:13 stream ends.

Article: Moving Over: A Powerhouse of Black Dance Is Retiring (Mostly)
Date: September 2, 2021
By: Charmaine Patricia Warren
Joan Myers Brown, the founder of Philadanco, is stepping back if not quite away from her duties. She still goes to the office every day.
Rushing to our Zoom interview from an in-person audition at the Philadanco studios, Joan Myers Brown opened the conversation by making me laugh. She asked for a reminder of what we were doing and then said, “What an honor, you want to talk about me — only thing I usually talk about is Philadanco.”
Myers Brown is the keeper of all things Black dance, and Philadanco (or, the Philadelphia Dance Company) is the troupe she founded in 1970. Now, after more than 50 years, she’s “moving over,” as she calls it, stepping back but not quite stepping away from the daily work of running the company.
At 89 (she turns 90 on Christmas Day), she is full of energy, and her memory is impeccable. Given the floor, she will share her love of dance, especially Black dance, for which she has been a champion and an institution builder.
True to her Philadelphia roots, in 1960 she founded the Philadelphia School of Dance Arts, for African American children; then Philadanco in 1970; in 1988, the International Conference of Black Dance Companies; and then in 1991, the International Association of Blacks in Dance (I.A.B.D.), which supports the Black dance community through gatherings, presentations, education and career guidance.
Of course, none of this existed when Myers Brown started studying ballet at 7 with Essie Marie Dorsey, whose school catered to Black children. (Dorsey, who passed for Spanish, had studied ballet with whites.) At 17, in the segregated 1940s, Myers Brown got the bug to become a ballerina from a white teacher, Virginia Lingenfelder, and was the first and only Black student in Lingenfelder’s ballet club.
Later, she studied at the Ballet Guild, where she was again the only Black student, and was spotted there by the British choreographer Antony Tudor, who invited her to take his class. “He was coming from England, so he didn’t have that American prejudice stuff,” Myers Brown said. “He taught me like I was the same as the others and not like an intruder.”
She never became a professional ballerina. “Other than Janet Collins, Blacks were not hired at that time,” she said, referring to the first African American prima ballerina with the Metropolitan Opera. But because of Tudor, Myers Brown performed in a community production of Michel Fokine’s “Les Sylphides” with the Ballet Guild and the Philadelphia Orchestra. At 19, Tudor encouraged her to move to New York; instead, she commuted to study with the dancer and anthropologist Katherine Dunham. “I would’ve been afraid to go to New York and live alone,” Myers Brown said.
She became a successful revue dancer and seized every opportunity to take class on her travels. “I read every book on ballet and dance, and then I chose to teach because I didn’t get the opportunities I wanted,” she said. “That’s when I started my school and tried to teach what I remembered.”
The Black dance community reveres her, and the world has been noticing. She was the subject of a 2011 book, “Joan Myers Brown and the Audacious Hope of the Black Ballerina,” by Brenda Dixon Gottschild. And in 2012, President Obama presented her with the National Medal of the Arts.
I met Myers Brown, or Aunt Joan as she is known to those close to her, when we were both instructors at Howard University in the early 1990s. Like me, those who’ve walked alongside her know that she is a powerful force, a leader who has set the tone for Black dance organizations to follow. And though Myers Brown is stepping back from her role at Philadanco, make no mistake: She still goes to the office, and is very involved.
When talking to Myers Brown, you bring your best because her presence demands it. She is always dressed to the nines, but her elegance is balanced by her lack of pretension and her quick, sometimes sharp, tongue.
“You didn’t ask me any questions,” she said near the end of our talk. I did, but they flowed organically because Aunt Joan made it so easy.
Below are edited excerpts from our conversation.
Charmaine Patricia Warren: So, what made you decide it was time to step away?
Joan Myers Brown: Guess, just guess! I’ll be 90 years old. I have four dance companies, two dance schools and six grandkids. I’ve been working 15-hour days for 50 years, plus my school will be 60. I’ve given enough of my life to this, but I don’t own it.
Charmaine Patricia Warren: What do you mean you don’t own it?
Joan Myers Brown: Founder’s syndrome. After a while, the founder don’t mean anything because the company and organization have outgrown them.
Charmaine Patricia Warren: How are you feeling about moving over, as you call it?
Joan Myers Brown: I’ve settled on moving over, and I appointed Kim Bears-Bailey as artistic director. Now I have to let her know it’s OK to do what she thinks and let her make mistakes. But I need a managing director, someone who is committed to moving something other than their own aesthetic forward.
Charmaine Patricia Warren: Kim was first at Philadanco, in 1981, as a dancer. Did she make an impression on you back then?
Joan Myers Brown: She did. She was one of those girls that I don’t think ballet companies would have liked. You know how they do us when we are Black and we just don’t look the part. She wanted it, and was willing to put forth the work, and I said, “Why don’t you audition for Ailey?” She said, “Everything I need is here.”
Charmaine Patricia Warren: Was there a search for an artistic director?
Joan Myers Brown: Not artistic, managing. I’ve had three white girls come into my organization with all the qualifications, but there was a sensitivity chip about Blackness missing. They have to think differently about how they treat Black people and know what we need. When I was looking for a development director, I hired a company of three ladies.
Charmaine Patricia Warren: Are they Black?
Joan Myers Brown: No. White. I had to school them.
Charmaine Patricia Warren: Does Kim run the school also?
Joan Myers Brown: Well, the school is not part of the company. The first 10 years the company was housed in the school, but when we purchased the building, we reversed the roles. The school pays rent to the company. I kept the school for profit so I would be guaranteed an income as a single parent.
You know, the String Theory School wants to build a new location, a charter school, and call it the Joan Myers Brown School of the Arts.
Charmaine Patricia Warren: Wait, they’re naming a school after you?
Joan Myers Brown: Yes, and they want me to develop a curriculum, so I put Ali [Willingham, artistic director of Danco3] there because he teaches the way I like people to teach — know the craft, break down the movement, demand growth and not show off. Our youth are caught up in getting the applause and not learning the craft, so when I find the ones that really want to learn, they have someplace for classes and performing opportunities.
Charmaine Patricia Warren: The Black Lives Matter movement isn’t new to you, is it?
Joan Myers Brown: I experienced that in 1962, 1988 and 1995. Every time white folks in charge throw money out there and say, “Y’all got to help Black people,” they help us, but when the money’s gone, they’re gone. Have you noticed how every ad in Dance Magazine has a Black person? It’s like they are saying, “Look, I got one!”
Charmaine Patricia Warren: Did you envision I.A.B.D. conferences as a home base for the Black dance community?
Joan Myers Brown: You know, the first few conferences we were a mess, but we were happy to be together. Cleo [Parker Robinson] is from Denver; Jeraldyne [Blunden] was Dayton; Lula [Washington], Los Angeles; and Ann [Williams], from Dallas. And each time we learned something about our own organizations, about others doing the same thing, and how we can help each other. Mikki Shepard pulled us together, and people said we set the plate for DanceUSA. I was on the board of DanceUSA then. I said, “I got to get away from here and start my own thing because this ain’t helping Black people at all.”
The younger members want to ignore the things we learned, and their opinions are valid, but I say experience teaches you something. I.A.B.D. was a gathering to bring us together and share stuff, now it’s a full-fledged service organization.
Charmaine Patricia Warren: Do you miss the early gatherings?
Joan Myers Brown: It wasn’t like, “Girl, you got to come,” but more like, “let’s be together.” And when Jeraldyne died, we were a mess. Debbie [Blunden-Diggs] is stepping up to the plate now.
Charmaine Patricia Warren: The Philadanco family is huge, isn’t it?
Joan Myers Brown: We have a saying: You “gon” — without the “e” — but you’ll be back. A girl from my summer program told her mom, “I want to go back to Philadelphia because they give the training I need.” And her mother said, “I used to be in Philadanco 25 years ago, I’m going back with you.” She moved back, and I put her in charge of my minis.
I’ll give you another example: My first company was football players. I had no big boys in the school, saw them playing at my old high school and asked them to be in a show. They were more interested in the girls at first and refused to wear tights. I couldn’t pay them, but the Negro Trade Union Leadership Council was paying Black boys to learn trades. I told them to go in the morning, learn the trade, get that check, and then come for class at night, and they caught the bug. One of the boys owns a company and does my renovations now.
Everybody can’t teach or choreograph; I encourage all of my dancers to have a second career so that when you stop dancing you can do something else.
Charmaine Patricia Warren: What do you wish for?
Joan Myers Brown: Well, I’m wishing that people would understand that I need to shore up this organization. So, if I drop dead, the organization won’t be saying, “Aunt Joan ain’t here, what are we going to do?” I want them to say, “Do this, and take care of that.”
Charmaine Patricia Warren: You always have a Plan B, so what is it?
Joan Myers Brown: I like living alone. I like being single. I had three husbands, I’m fine. My Plan B is to do nothing, but I realized that people pay me to talk so I might do some more of that.
Charmaine Patricia Warren: Did I forget anything?
Joan Myers Brown: No. Well, yes, I do what I do because it needs to be done. And I believe in helping people that need help, and if they don’t pay back, it’s OK. The last thing I can say is that being Black in America is being Black in America, and it ain’t easy.

MY BRIGHTEST STAR🌌🌠
May 14,2020
11:15 pm
There are 45 minutes before my birthday. I got out of bed, holding my phone, because I couldn’t sleep no matter what I did.
I slowly opened the door and tiptoed out of my bed, taking care not to let it creak. Everyone in the house is still sleeping, so I can’t make any noises that would wake them up. Since my throats were dry and I needed to remain hydrated, I went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. After all, I can’t be dehydrated because I’m supposed to be hydrated all the time.
I walked out of the house wearing my oversized T-shirt and night shorts, leaving my glass on the counter. Since there were some torches, the whole subdivision was quiet and dim. The sky was lovely, but the boy who had just entered with his silver bicycle was even more so. I told myself, “Shut up, all boys are gorgeous.”
“Are you ready?” Miguel stated as he brushed his long, silky golden hair back with his lovely fingers. I grinned and walked over to my pink bicycle in the garage. “Where is your gear?”
“Where is your gear?” I questioned as well after noticing that he had not brought his. He squinted and raised one of his thick brows. “Don’t worry, I’ll be fine. Especially because you’re here with me.
His lips curled into an endearing grin, exposing his charming dimples. I got on my bike and pedaled down the road first, hoping he’d be close behind.
The cool night breeze caressed my face and caused my hair to fly, making me happy. I took a left and later realized Miguel was standing right next to me. He hasn’t changed since I first saw him with his hair flying and his aesthetic dark eyes. He is still the boy I loved and admired, still admire, and will still genuinely love.
11:30 pm
“Don’t worry, you’ll be fine.” Just don’t breath—“
“Do you want me to die horribly?” When my eyes accidentally went down, I exclaimed. I screamed and turned away, my eyes closed. Miguel sighed and his hands rested on my shoulders, which helped me relax a little. Only a little bit. I’m in a panic, crap.
“What I mean is, don’t breathe too quickly; instead, breathe slowly. Exhale slowly after taking a deep breath, then repeat. I’m telling you this because I don’t want you to die, okay?” He said calmly, which made me feel bad for screaming at him while he was simply trying to help me from panicking.
I followed his instructions and, to my surprise, it succeeded. When Miguel wrapped his handkerchief around my knee to cover the cut, I slowly opened my eyes and yelped in the quietest way possible. When he kissed it after tying it, I bit my lip and felt my face flush. He got up and extended his hand to me, which I gladly accepted.
“Are you all right now?”
“Thank you very much, Miguel.”   I smiled, and he smiled even more. God, I love that face.
“Oh, if you weren’t so stubborn, you wouldn’t have gotten hurt.” He said it with a little frown on his face, which made me laugh because he’s so sweet when he’s upset.
“If you hadn’t been there, I would have passed out in the middle of the road right now, but I’m still standing and breathing.” As I smiled, his frown vanished, and all he did was shake his head before walking to get his bike.
“You’re stubborn as hell. As he grasped the handlebars of his bike, he uttered. “Instead, let’s go for a stroll.”
“If I’m right, give me 500 pesos.” Your favorite shirt right now is the blackpink t-shirt I gave you.” Miguel muttered something and smirked as he looked at me and the path we were walking on.
“Wrong my favorite shirt is the other black pink t-shirt which I bought last Saturday. “I confidently replied and smirked back at him. Aw, you don’t love me anymore?” he pouted and gave me that cute puppy look. My weakness.
“oh my gosh, stop that. You look like an idiot.” Yes I’m a great liar.
“ugh, darn it.” He huffed and continued walking, which made me chuckled because of his cuteness.
It became quiet after. Enjoying the peaceful and satisfying cold wind with each other’s company was already enough.
I know in my heart that he has a problem but he didn’t want to share it with me and I respect his decision.
“ Has the thought of leaving me ever cross your mind?” I asked out of nowhere to cut the silence while we’re walking down the silent road with our bikes.
“Yep.” I pouted and glared at him immediately when he said but he just laughed. That hurt right into my heart. “ What, if I am be pooping, you wanna watch?”
“Gross, of course not.” I cringed which made him laugh harder. His laugh is annoying but also cute but its pissing me off but I still love it.
“How about you? Ever thought of leaving this handsome boy?” he raised his eyebrows up and down while staring at me, waiting for my answer.
“I don’t wanna promise that I won’t because we never know what will happen in the future but I assure you that no matter what happens, even if the worlds screwed up, we’re screwed up, I will always stay with you.” Miguel stopped walking so I did too and looked at him. He smiled at me before starting to walk again.
His smile didn’t reach his eyes.
11:45 pm
“Don’t go yet.” I whined quietly while softly pulling the sleeve of his hoodie. I know that its late and he might be tired but I wanna be selfish even just for now.
“Alright then, my princess.” Miguel smiled and pulled my hand going inside our house silently. Miguel being Miguel, he didn’t make the slightest noise even in closing closing the door. It was dark but with Miguel’s hand holding mine, I know that I shouldn’t be afraid.
When we reach my bedroom, he gently pushed me inside and slowly pushed the door behind him while his sexy dark eyes were staring into my soul, dominating me. He took little steps going towards me, not cutting eye contact, and as if I’m frozen, I stood still staring back into his beautiful dark grey eyes until I could feel and smell his strawberry scented breath.
“Let’s go stargaze even if I know to myself that gazing at you is better.” He huskily uttered before smiling and pulling my hand to go out the window. He assisted me to climb up the roof carefully before he followed.
He gently guided me to a spot between his legs where I could sit comfortably. As his arms wrapped around me and his big hands devoured my tiny hands, I laid my back on his chest.
Nothing beats sitting on the roof with the guy you want to spend the rest of your life with, gazing at thousands of sparkling stars in the midnight sky, which isn’t quite midnight yet, but let’s call it that anyway.
“Did you know that the sun is a star?” Miguel said as he rested his chin on my left shoulder. Our eyes glued on the sky full of stars above us.
“uh-huh.”
“Personally, I think that stars don’t appear only at night because if it only appears in the darkness, the isn’t it unfair that it doesn’t appear during bright days?” he said in a serious expression which made me laugh a bit.
“That doesn’t make any sense. And the sun is a star because science shit.” I replied which made him laugh as well.
“Yeah I know, I didn’t know what to say so I just wasted my saliva for bullshit.” He said while chuckling because of his darkness. What he said didn’t really make sense but he’s still cute so never mind.
“but let me tell you something, my princess.” He sat properly so I faced him to give all of my attention.
“if all the stars disappears, that doesn’t mean that its over. Darkness is everywhere already. No, don’t forget that the moon is still there, there to light up the darkness. And it lights up the most. So don’t ever think that you’re alone and your life is pure darkness just because the stars disappears.” He smiled for a while before continuing.
“the stars will appear again. But they may not be the same stars from before again.”
11:55 pm
When I got tired of watching the stars above the sky. I faced Miguel.
Miguel had the same dark grey eyes. The same dark grey eyes I used to always stare at since when I was six. He had the same small nose. The same small nose I used to always poke when we were toddlers since it was cute. He had the same chubby and soft cheeks. The same cheeks I used to always squish whenever I’m ecstatic, annoyed, sad, or normal. He had the same sexy pinkish lips. The first same sexy pinkish lips I kissed when I was ten. He had the same long golden hair. The same long golden hair I used to braid or play with when im bored though I always envy his hair since its straight and silky more as hell than mine. And lastly, he had the same effect on me.
Only realizing it now, his face was only an inch away from mine. His deep breaths made me look hotter.
“Advance Happy Birthday, I love you my princess.” Miguel said.
I slowly shut my eyes as tears started forming in my eyes. Seconds have passed and sobs started to come out. I slowly opened my eyes to look at the time.
12:00 AM
May 15, 2021
“It was all a dream” I told myself.
Miguel died because of the car accident. If only I hadn’t been selfish and let him go home that night, maybe he’s still with me right now celebrating my birthday.
It’s been exactly a year since my star vanished.
It’s just unfair that among billions of stars out there, he’s the one chosen to be vanished.
I held onto the shirt he gave me a year ago on my birthday while crying hard. It will never not be painful as hell.
His smile, his eyes, his dimples, his long golden hair, my Miguel that I will never get to see anymore.
“Wherever you are right now, I hope you’re happy.” I sobbed while looking above the sky full of stars. “I don’t do promises but I’m doing it now. I promise that I will continue living the nights with different stars. Only for you, baby. I miss you so much.

What’s your favourite thing about the Klebekah dynamic and your fave scenes? What was it that drew you to them
Thanks Yuki for asking this, it took me hours to think of all my fav scenes but it was worth it lol ❤️
My fav thing about the klebekah dynamic:
So, klebekah. I simply love them if it isn't obvious by now lmao, their codependent and dysfunctional toxic relationship fascinates me so much. They're litteraly the most important person in each other's life and I love that, I love how they understand one another with just a look, I love how they never gave up on each other for a thousand years despite all the betrayals, I love how they adore and worship one another, I LOVE THEM.
Rebekah was the person klaus loved the most in the world (besides hope ofc) it's actually funny how most of the fandom doesn't realize the impact she always had on him, she was his humanity for a thousand years, she was his constant (along with Elijah ) and he was hers, and as we saw on the show Rebekah was the person he showed affection the most.
As for rebekah, Klaus was the man she ADORED since she was a little girl, he was her big brother, the person she wanted to be like when she gets older, her protector, soulmate and best friend. Rebekah was the only person who never actually tried to change him, she loved him as he is during a thousand years and I LOVE THAT.
-The thing that drawn me to them:
Are a lot of things but THE CHEMISTRY was what made me fall in love, fun fact: but the first time I discovered klebekah I was watching a tvd scene on YouTube a couple of years ago and coincidentally it was their 3×03 Chicago flashback scene with Stefan, and I thought they were a sort of threesome of something lmao and when I knew they were siblings I was shocked but continued to ship them anyway cause why not.
What are your fav scenes ?
Oh boy, this is a very DIFFICULT question cause I practically love all their freaking scenes, but I eventually have to choose so there you go:
-I'll begin with tvd:
-There's 3×03, of course, THIS WHOLE EPISODE IS FULL OF INCEST. the "I'm not your girlfriend", the "choose him or me" Klaus' jealousy, the eye sex, the daggering session, the hand holding, EVERYTHING SCREAMED KLEBEKAH. This ep was such a strong introduction to their strange dynamic.
-3×04: my fav thing about this ep is Klaus taking rebekah to shop and being a child about it. He was so done with her already but at the same time so happy to have her around again. I loved the surprised expression on Stefan's face the whole time, he was not used to this side of Klaus, he was not used to Klaus being wrapped around someone's little finger. I loved their little conversation when she was trying that dress and she said something about women in the 21th century dressing like prostitues and that she got dirty looks for wearing trousers and then Klaus said you wore trousers so women today could wear nothing. Lmaooo it was hilarious.
- 3×15: "I hated you when I learned that you killed our mother but after a thousand years together as a family you're the only one who never left me "
" Aren't we a pair ?" THIS MF LINE GETS ME EVERYTIME. I don't have words to describe what it does to me but I love this scene and the fact that Klaus thought that rebekah was going to show him her torturer's skills makes it better.
-3×18: " you destroyed our family" "I wanted a family they just didn't want me, and now that we're unlinked we're no longer responsible for each other" "so are you leaving ?" "As soon as a get my stakes I'm gone..... I'm gonna make a NEW FAMILY of hybrids" "and if I choose to stay ?" "Then you're just as pathetic as Finn " THIS WHOLE scene was a masterpiece, them looking at each other like that makes me wanna give them a hug:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
-3×20: it wasn't really a klebekah scene cause it was Esther in Rebekah's body but the way Klaus smiled at her and agreed to go to the dance JUST for her melt my heart.
Tumblr media
-3×22: oh gosh this one, breaks my heart but love it so much " how dare you save Caroline over me ?" " You left me !" "it's always been me, not Finn not Elijah no Kol ME, I LOVED YOU through everything and you don't even care " and then he chokes her and say something he -IM SURE- regrets immediately "you know something rebekah you're right I don't care, from this moment on you're not my family you're not my sister you are nothing " and then he breaks her neck. I HATE THIS SCENE BUT I LOVE IT. these two needed couple therapy. Klaus was horrible, she watched him die, she mourned him, her heart broke. He could've told her about his plan tho ? I'm still wondering why he didn't but I guess he was just being an asshole as usual and took her as granted. And him saving Caroline over her was not it.
-4×04: the flashback hunter scene "YOU TRUSTED HIM OVER ME " "WHAT DID HE PROMISE YOU " "TELL ME REBEKAH " it was like he caught her cheating on him lmaooo. On the same episode there's the famous line "laugh at the girl who loved too easily but I would rather to live my life than yours Nik, no one will ever sit around a table telling stories about a man who couldn't love" the way he looked down after her saying that breaks my heart, cause Klaus could love, he LOVES her, then he daggers her -cause he's a paranoid bastard- and he cries about it.
-Let's switch to TO scenes:
-1×02: this episode is one of my favs but the best scene was when Klaus was choking Hayley after he learned that she wanted to abort the baby then, rebekah slammed him against the wall (it was hot tbh lmao) and she said "it's okay to care, it's okay to want something that's all Elijah was trying to do all he's ever wanted for you, all we've ever wanted." The way he looked her deep in the eyes gets me everytime, he was trying so hard not to cry. Then they sat together, exhausted, and Klaus told her about his plan -that involved giving Elijah to marcel lol- and if she doesn't like it, there's the door.
-1×03: one of my fav episodes too and it has so many good klebekah scenes, “that depends what plan you mean love my plan for global domination or rebekahs plan to find love in a cruel cruel world”  then she giggled and threw a pen at him so lovingly lol. They were teasing and all flirty with each other in front of Hayley and they acted as nothing happened the night before and Klaus never gave Elijah to marcel, after that they teamed up and everything was going fine but Klaus happened. then there's the masquerade ball scene when Klaus called rebekah " you really are a hideously evil little thing aren't you "
and them being jealous watching marcel and cami dancing. later in  this ep theres the famous “you disgust me” scene, the tension was so thick i acually thought they were about to kiss and have sex on that damn piano lmao but klaus as usual disapointed rebekah, she trusted him against all her better instincts and he choose to act against her back cause he thought his plan was smarter.
-I'm not sure in which episode this scene is but I remember Klaus telling rebekah "you were quite resourceful today..... sometimes I think I don't give you your due little sister" it was so cute cause Klaus knows that he doesn't give Rebekah enough credits, and she was so happy to hear him say that.
-1×14: the famous "YOU CANNOT HIDE FROM ME REBEKAH" this episode had me crying the first time I watched it, Klaus was so angry, disappointed and hurt, he could not believe that his baby sister did this to him, that he was in denial for almost a century and he for that she must pay. "Rebekah would not call my father no matter how angry she was " "enough of your lies" even after seeing the truth from the source he still couldn't believe it cause he loved her so freaking much and he thought she did too.
Then them fighting and Klaus getting turned on by her beating his ass up
-1×15: this mf scene.
Tumblr media
The kiss, THE FREAKING CLOSE TO THE LIPS KISS. the sexual tension in this scene was HUGE, Klaus finally "set rebekah free" and he was DRUNK doing it. "We don't have to run anymore, we've found a home" and the look on Rebekah's face is priceless, she was shocked and almost guilty cause at this time she has already called mikeal and Klaus was a little too late.
Tumblr media
Also in the same episode, THE BLOOD SHARING. Look at them just look at them.
-1×16:
Tumblr media
THE BABY MIKAELSON FLASHBACK !! OMG, this scene melts my heart. "Don't be afraid I won't let it hurt you " "will you stay with me till the storm ends ?" And he did stay with her no matter what. I love this scene cause it shows how close and protective they were of each other since forever. Then he gives her the wooden knight so she can be brave. I'm soft.
Tumblr media
Then there's this one too ! I love how Rebekah was actually the only one to ever stand against mikeal, she even tried to kill him, just for Klaus. So much devotion.
Tumblr media
I'm still not over this one, the hurt on Rebekah's voice as she says those words, Klaus's tears, the whole episode was so angsty but this scene was IT. and then he realised what he did to her, that instead of protecting her he was hurting and suffocating her so he did something he's not used to do, being selfless, and he let her go.
The 1×22 scene: LITTERALY on top of my fav scenes list ! Klaus giving hope to Rebekah proved how much he trusted her "there's no one I would trust more with my daughter's life" and the fact that she came back just for him (and hope) proved that she never really wanted to leave, she just needed a little freedom. Then when he handed her the little toy I WAS IN TEARS OKAY, it was so soft. They were so happy and relieved to see each other again.
-2×09: "if anything goes south I'll be there to pull you out" "you and I on the same team it must me Christmas" he promised to protect her at any cost and she knew he will. Them teaming up against Esther was so great, then the "take me instead" , Klaus was WILLING to sacrifice his immortal life for REBEKAH, if this isn't pure love then I don't know what it is.
-2×17: another episode losing his shit because his wife-sorry sister is in danger. He let Freya enter his mind just to save her (and he was so suspicious about it cause he didn't want her to know his strategies but in fact he was just afraid she'll know about his questionable taste in woman lmaoo)
Tumblr media
And this mf scene is so cute, look at their smiles, the forehead touch, his hand on her neck, here on his arm, FOR YOU FOR NOW. I can't believe this is actually canon.
-2×22: "family tradition!" "Minus the family."
"Well, you're here."" In the skin of your choosing, no less."
"Well, poor you. Because that body is such a hardship."
"You would hand over your crown? And do what?" "Raise my daughter... with the help of my sisters. One big, happy family."
" Now, that does sound grand-- minus the giant, Elijah-sized hole in the room. And, whilst your sisters raise your child, what will the child's mother be doing, exactly?"
"This, dear brother, is not what happiness looks like."
This scene was so important, Klaus was wrong and he needed someone to remind him that what he did was not necessary, that he hurt most of his family, and rebekah was there for that. He wished she'd stray with him to "raise" his daughter but after this scene we see Freya offering her Eva's body so she leaves.
-3×09: "you're always leaving" "and I always come back" THEN THE DAMN HUG. their hugs are always so good, the way they close their eyes and hold each other tight and they seem like they never want to let go of each other. Then she has to leave and make Elijah dagger her without telling Nik, cause she wants Nik to be happy for once.
-3×22: "wasn't you who once told me I could talk my way out of hell " and then they smile affectionately at each other and HUG tightly. After this he took her hand and they both walk to their possible end, and she watches him getting stabbed by marcel after she was forced to say all those things she did and didn't think. The whole trial scene was a masterpiece. I love it.
-4×02: this EP was full of klebekah soft scenes. There was the reunion HUG . the way she runs to him the second she sees him and the way he reaches to her and hugs her tightly to his chest.
The kiss on the cheek after "thank you for not abandoning me" and the way he smiles at her was so SOFT OMG.
-4×03: the goodbye hug "Nik you do not need me anymore, I know that I'm your fav sibling and of course I adore you" "you were the only one who never treated me like s misfit, for centuries my only place was by your side...." AND THEY HUG TIGHTLY AGAIN. this was the first time Klaus let Rebekah do whatever the hell she wanted without fighting or daggering and it was revolutionary to her. (The fact that she's his fav sibling and she KNOWS it makes me so happy lmao).
-5×01: their phone call about Elijah. They were both so lost and devastated without him it broke my heart. "How does he look?" "Happy.."
-5×08: "ah Nik always so dramatic"
Tumblr media
They were so happy to be reunited after 7 years of being apart, look at them hugging each other so tightly. I LOVE this scene.
-5×12: then there's the goodbye scene, Klaus gave her the cure so he can make up for a thousand years of hurt, "live the life you've always wanted to live, MY SISTER" the way he looked at her so proudly, so in love makes me cry. In my opinion he gave her the cure so they can reunite again in the afterlife. Both him and Elijah can't live or die without her, they're supposed to be together, they're meant to be together and the cure will bring her to them, to him, again. It was such a good scene, the hug, the last glances, everything.
And that's it!!! I'm sure I forgot some other scenes but those are the most important. ❤️

Female Filmmakers in Focus (TIFF Edition): Director Camille Griffin on Her Feature Directorial Debut, ‘Silent Night’
The British writer/director talks about making an apocalyptic black comedy set at Christmas.
Although ‘Silent Night’ is her directorial debut, British writer-director Camille Griffin has worked in film for over 25 years. With her husband, cinematographer Ben Davis (‘Eternals,’ ‘Cry Macho’), she is mother of actors Roman Griffin Davis (‘Jojo Rabbit'), Gilby Griffin Davis and Hardy Griffin Davis. Blending pitch black comedy with holiday cheer, ‘Silent Night’ is an apocalyptic twist on the ensemble Christmas comedy with a killer ensemble cast that includes Keira Knightley, Roman Griffin Davis, Matthew Goode, Lily-Rose Depp, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Lucy Punch, and Ṣọpé Dìrísù.
As friends and family gather on Christmas Eve tensions rise - but not for the usual reasons. It’s slowly revealed that the end of society as we know it is nigh. As a poisonous cloud descends upon the United Kingdom, petty differences are worked through, grievances are aired, and despite it all, love remains all around them.
Griffin sat down with Moviefone ahead of the gala presentation of ‘Silent Night’ at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Moviefone: How did you first decide to combine a holiday film with an apocalypse film?
Camille Griffin: First of all, I'm the annoying person at a dinner party who wants to talk about real things, and I get on people's nerves, because I'm not talking about nonsense. And I've noticed that a lot of people don't have the tolerance or the energy to always have big, dramatic conversations. And I don't mind having a polite argument or something and then like having a drink. I like having difficult conversations. But I know that a lot of people don't. So that, for me, is why I tried to make a comedy because I wanted to talk about important things, but make it entertaining, and not lecture or be a bore. I thought if I have a load of great actors playing great characters and great dialogue and funny moments, then I can maybe get some important points across. I just wanted to ask questions with the film. I'm not trying to give the answers obviously, you can obviously have a clue and insight into my political values. I sound very middle class, I was brought up middle class.
I used to get very sentimental at Christmas. You miss the people you haven't spoken to, your friends that you've fallen out with, or your family. That dodgy brother or sister who annoys you. There's a sentimentality about Christmas, and relationships and friendship. And I think as I've got maybe weller, emotionally and psychologically older, I've become less sentimental. But there's something so profoundly powerful about the sentimentality of Christmas, and how we want to be with your loved ones and friends and family.
MF: Was the Michael Bublé song ‘Christmas Sweater’ written for the film? It's used very uniquely three or four different times.
Griffin: Matthew Vaughn, who was my original producer, and still producer, but then he brought on Celine Rattray and Trudie Styler. Matthew is a great entrepreneur. Other than being a filmmaker and producer, he has his hands in many creative pockets. He was tinkering on his piano and came up with this Christmas song. He took it to Gary Barlow, from Take That. He's an amazing songwriter. They've written songs before, and they came up with this. Our composer Lorne Balfe, he only admitted to me last minute that he also worked on the song.
Matthew said we need to shoot a beginning where they're all on their way. I said, so they can play your Christmas song? And he said yes. So then the song had to then be brought into the film and became part of the storytelling. But it didn't originate from me, and it didn't originate from my film, but I did take the song. And I love that you notice that it has an unusual usage. He asked who do you want to sing it? I said, it's got to be Michael Bublé, Michael Bublé is Mr. Christmas, you know? And then he was like, I've got Michael Bublé!. I said we have to integrate throughout the film.
MF: How did you cast this large ensemble? Did you have any of them in mind when you were writing?
Griffin: I thought I was going to make the film for no money. Because I have been writing screenplays for an awful long time. So I came back from ‘Jojo Rabbit’ because my son was in ‘Jojo Rabbit’. And I saw Taika [Waititi] using comedy. And I thought, God he’s very clever to use this comedy idea. I'm going to use comedy, I'm going to write comedy. I'm going to write a really dark comedy, because all my stories were kind of melancholic and challenging. And I thought, okay, I can use comedy that's going to make it so much better. Or when I make my movie, that's a very rich person I know for money. And I went to Matthew Vaughn for advice. And he said, I'll make your film. I'd written it for my friends who are actors, because I used to be a camera assistant for many years. I've worked in the industry for a long time, and I've accumulated friendships with some actors. I wrote it for people who are my age. One of the first things Matthew said was, Oh, we got to cast much younger, we're old Camille. It really hit me, hearing him say we're old, actually really hit me because I've never had a problem with age. I have to be honest, I didn't write the film for that cast, because I wrote the film for a much older cast.
But as soon as he had that conversation, I was like, okay, well, wouldn't it be amazing to have Keira Knightley play Nell? Wouldn’t that'd be fun, like, this whole kind of Working Title beginning and the idea of perfection and Christmas happiness. And I was like, we've got to get Keira. She’s Miss Perfection and sweet. Audiences think of her as like the perfect British jewel. We had a causal conversation right at the beginning of our development process, then months later he said Keira Knightley had read the script and wanted to talk to me. So it all starts with Keira, and she loved it. We had an amazing conversation on the phone, then we met in person and I fell in love with her. And then people wanted to work with Keira, but we were very careful with who we cast because everyone in the film is a version of who I'd written it for originally, if that makes sense.
They're exceptional. There isn't one person that I'm not so grateful to because they were really up for playing. They were up for being extreme. They were all up for trying things that weren't comfortable. I was so lucky. I had to cut a few times because I couldn't stop laughing. I couldn't believe they had this endless pit of delivering brilliant performances.
MF: Keira’s boys in the film are played by your sons. How did you decide to cast them?
Griffin: So the three boys are mine and Davida McKenzie is a friend of ours. She's Thomasin McKenzie's little sister. The boys had become close to her on ‘Jojo Rabbit’. It wasn't that I just wanted to cast my kids, I obviously wrote the part from Roman and Roman and I had been on a long journey together with him wanting to act way before ‘Jojo’, and thank God for ‘Jojo’ it changed his life. But I knew that the kids were going to be part of a big gang of actors, and that the characters were going to be subjected to a certain amount of trauma. We did meet some kids because Davida lives in New Zealand, she's bloody miles away. I kept saying, I want Davida, but she's in New Zealand, we can't afford to bring her over. We did audition other actresses, but they just didn't have what she had. The kid needs to feel safe, because she's bullied through the whole film, and if she's got her friends, Roman, Gilby and Hardy, they're all friends, she’ll feel safe.
Also, I don't want to kill other people's kids, I'd rather pretend kill my kids. They're going to be fine because they know it's a conversation, it’s a metaphor. But I didn't want to do the same to someone else’s child, who then didn't feel safe. My kids and I had these, we have quite an extreme family, we're quite volatile and passionate and loving. So I just thought it'd be safer for them as children if they were my children and our friend.
MF: What do you hope people feel after they've walked away from this film?
Griffin: I don't want to hurt anyone because I know the film is upsetting. I've cried a lot myself through the film, because I care about those characters. They're also very dysfunctional characters, they’re very flawed characters, but I cared about them because they became real. I think we all believe that there should be a slight trigger warning in the film. I don't want the audience to be angry or hurt, which is why it's important that they're not tricked. I’m very grateful there's a slight warning that, you know, it's a dark comedy, and there's death in it.
I do want people to think, you know, how do we treat our younger generation? Do we allow them to ask questions? Do we listen to them? Do we allow them to challenge us? They're going to have to inherit a damaged planet, they're going to have to inherit a damaged society. I also think, fundamentally, do we give a shit about each other? Like, I care? Am I doing enough? I'm not doing that much, because I've got three kids to look after. And if I think I'd like to leave the world a better place, but I’m feeding and cooking and helping them. But because I think okay, well, I want to be a filmmaker, and I’ve wanted to be a filmmaker since I was a young child. So maybe if I can ask the questions in cinema, and we can walk away and go, well, Jesus, that was hard, that wasn’t easy to watch. It’ll make us think, are we doing enough? Are we recycling enough? Are we paying enough taxes? Is our government making the right decisions? Are we getting vaccinated? Do we care about our neighbor? You know, how do we care about racism? Are we going to change our political view? The characters say, we should have voted Green. It's like, yeah, maybe we should all be voting Green. So I like to think that, you know, Trump’s gone now, thank God. But there's a lot of recovery from the mistakes my government has done and the American Government's, certainly. That's what I'm trying to achieve with the film.
MF: Could you recommend another female filmmaker that inspired you who readers should seek out?
Griffin: I think the interesting thing is there's a lot of women writers, there's a lot of women, cinematographers, there's a lot of women actors, and I think they’re all artists. Recently I’ve been recommending a film called ‘Polisse’, not because I'm saying it's one of my absolute favorite films, but because it's a film I saw at the Cannes Film Festival many years ago by a filmmaker called Maïwenn, who had been an actress. It was an extraordinarily powerful film about the French police system and children. And I remember just sobbing and sobbing and for weeks I was obsessed with her film and obsessed with her as a filmmaker. It's not easy. I don't have easy conversations. So if someone wants something fun to watch, they shouldn't watch that. But it's called ‘Polisse’ and it was breathtaking.
'Silent Night' premieres on September 16 as part of the Gala Presentation series at the Toronto International Film Festival this year.

In Depth (spoiler free)
🔹 Jojo (Sono Chi no Sadame), Hiroaki Tommy Tominaga
Sono Chi no Sadame is the first opening of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure and is truly what sets up the stage for the rest of the series. Jonathan Joestar, being the first Jojo, begins the Jojo legacy in Phantom Blood. The song lyrics heavily foreshadow the future of the Jojo series and describes Jonathan as someone who has honor and always does what is right. Sono Chi no Sadame is a spectacular opening act to the unique concept of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. *side note* Muscially speaking wow this song is incredibly good the crescendoes and frequent tempo changes as well as the instrumentals amaze me- this is easily my favorite Jojo opening.
🔹BREATHE, AB6IX
Hamon (also known as Ripple or Sendo) is a technique that heavily focuses on controlled breathing. Jonathan learned and mastered Hamon in a very short amount of time. BREATHE also has a very light feeling to it, making the song easy to listen to which connects to Jojo as he is a lighthearted and easy going guy.
🔹breathin, Ariana Grande
Likewise as BREATHE by AB6IX, breathin correlates to the Hamon technique that Jonathan used to fight. Adding onto that, Jonathan lived in a grand mansion and was very well off financially. This song has an elegant sound to it. Despite the wealth that he had, Jojo did not have the easiest childhood. Ever since Dio Brando began to live with him, Jonathan saw many mishaps occur with his relationships, reputation, and self esteem. But, Jonathan Joestar never gave up on his morals and values, and he always kept “breathin and breathin and breathin” no matter what, making sure he would always do the right thing.
🔹Silence, Marshmello ft. Khalid
Silence explains and describes Jonathan’s teenage years very well along with his relationship with Dio. Dio coming to live with Jonathan messed him up as Jonathan felt inferior to Dio who was taking the spotlight by being an amazing athlete and intelligent student. This prompted lots of praise from Jonathan’s father and comparing him to Dio constantly, which made Jonathan feel like he wasn’t worth as much. “I found peace in your violence” is a very meaningful line that contributes to Jonathan’s and Dio’s relationship because of the fact that Dio was... an extremely violent person ever since he was a kid and has done crazy evil things to Jonathan, yet Jonathan didn’t really hate Dio because of Jojo’s noble personality- Dio was Jonathan’s “brother,” therefore Jonathan couldn’t hate him. Jojo felt like he had to be silent over Dio’s actions because he didn’t want to spoil the love that his father gave to Dio, again proving how big of a heart Jonathan had.
🔹Dollhouse, Melanie Martinez
Dollhouse is a rather dark song, but is perfect to show off the darker side of Jonathan’s character. As we know, Jonathan is a young man who presents himself as well... perfect. He’s smart, incredibly kind and noble, rich, popular, and athletic. After Dio appeared and started to really turn things around for Jonathan, he had to continue to present the same image of himself even though his home life was becoming a wreck. His own father constantly scolded him and loved Dio to a great extent. “Pose with your brother won’t you be a good sister?” Jonathan knew that Dio’s actions were evil and he had ill intent at such a young age but Jojo had to go along with the act that Dio put on, faking the close brotherly relationship between them.
🔹London Boy, Taylor Swift
Sometimes I forget that Jonathan Joestar is in fact British. London Boy is a song for Jonathan not just because he lives in/by London, but also because the song describes a man who is just so sweet and has a beautiful laugh. The overall song is just so positive and loving towards this English boy. Every time I listen to this song I now think of Jonathan, and a smile always plasters on my face. Taylor Swift also has a lyric talking about watching rugby which reminded me of the iconic Jonathan and Dio rugby scene early in the story. Jonathan is such a respectful gentleman whom everyone just can’t help but fall in love with his lovely English charm.
🔷Line Without a Hook, Ricky Montgomery
After upon listening to this song, I felt like it really gave off Jonathan vibes because of the light but a tinge of melancholy sound to it. Thing song is quite reflective of Jonathan and Erina with the lyrics “I broke all my bones that day I found you crying at the lake” because it reminded me of when Jonathan first met Erina, who was being bullied by a couple of boys but Jonathan risked getting beaten up to stop the bullies from harming Erina. Later, Jonathan was laying on a hill with his dog Danny, feeling quite down because of none other than Dio, but Erina came and dropped off some grapes and his handkerchief and that was what really started off their relationship. The iconic line “she’s a, she’s a lady, and I am just a line without a hook” explains that Erina was Jonathan’s sole happiness in his life.
🔹Fighter, Christina Aguilera
Honestly, Dio really sucked (I still love him *sigh*). He wanted to completely destroy Jonathan’s life and make it absolutely miserable... for what? Well, despite the horrific actions that Dio performed to ruin Jonathan’s reputation and will, that ultimately backfired as Jonathan rose stronger than ever. Of course Jonathan was mad at Dio for his unspeakable actions, but because of him, he was able to have a certain drive where he gained immense strength in a short amount of time. William Zeppeli describes Jonathan as a Hamon prodigy because of how quickly Jojo was able to master it. Jojo was a natural, but again, he had that determination to defeat Dio once and for all. Despite the hardships Jonathan went through as a result of Dio’s decisions, Jonathan did not resent him in the end- Jojo became an extremely powerful individual because of his past.
🔹Classic, MKTO
In order to create a playlist for our favorite gentleman, it’s only necessary that we add a classic gentlemanly song to it! There’s not much of a deep gloomy reason why this song correlates with Jonathan, in fact it’s the complete opposite. Classic is a song that talks about being a classy and polite man, and to put it simply, Jonathan is exactly that.
🔹Win, CIX
From the God of High School soundtrack, Win is a song about fighting and training together as a team. This upbeat song greatly reminds me of the mini team of Jonathan Joestar, Speedwagon, and William Zeppeli all fighting against Dio and his minions together. Jonathan Joestar was not able to fight Dio without a hamon teacher, William, and an incredibly loyal friend, Speedwagon. This trio had great camaraderie and were overall an incredibly adorable and high morale team.
🔹Blue Hour, TXT
Ok so does this song really have a deep meaning or correlation to Jonathan Joestar? Nahhh not really, I just added it as a bit of a bonus. Blue Hour has an almost fairytale like vibe to it and I just thought it would be something that resonated with Jonathan, especially when he was a child. So, enjoy this little serotonin bonus boost!
⚠️Part 1 Spoilers⚠️
🔹We Belong, Ong Seong Wu
Jonathan’s and Erina’s relationship was very short... but sweet. We Belong is an emotional love song explaining how this one guy meets someone who is their entire world, like when Jonathan met Erina. Through Jojo’s darkest times when he felt like he lost everything, Erina was by his side no matter what. Even though their marriage was abruptly ended with the death of Jonathan, it doesn’t disregard the fact that Erina completely loved Jonathan and supported the Joestar family for the future generations to come. Jonathan and Erina truly belonged together.
🔹My Heart Will Go On, Céline Dion
My apologies, I’m absolutely in love with Jonathan’s and Erina’s relationship. My Heart Will Go On automatically reminds me of the last moments of Jonathan. Since the song was a part of the Titanic soundtrack where there’s a romance story and people die on a sinking ship, it really correlates to Erina and Jonathan going on their honeymoon but Jonathan ending up dead on the ship. Everytime I think of either the song or Jonathan’s and Erina’s last moments together, my heart feels heavy. Both the song and the scene are extremely high in emotions and both suit each other quite well.
🔹Needed Me, Rihanna
Dio killed Jonathan so that he could merge with Jojo’s body, and ultimately use it for evil and for power. “Never told you, you could have it,” symbolizes that Dio forcibly took everything Jonathan had, again including his own body. Although Jonathan would probably never say the lyrics of this song to Dio because he’s so noble, externally everyone knows that without Jonathan, Dio would have been absolutely nothing in Part 3.
🔹Glorious, Macklemore ft. Skylar Grey
The song Glorious questions oneself’s purpose in life, the answer being ‘give back to the people.’ Jonathan has proven that he has countlessly sacrificed himself for others, as was seen when he died on the ship and told Erina to take care of the orphaned baby and to “live a happy life.” Jonathan struggled greatly in his short life, but he always had the passion of helping others since he was born to do so.
🌟Conclusion🌟
Thank you for reading through my first ever blog on Tumblr! I hope you enjoyed the playlist and descriptions! Hopefully this playlist blog series will continue with majority of the main Jojo characters- that’s the plan. Have a good day and/or night💓!

Once Jk completed what they thought was the last mission, he got excited to go home. Jimin then tried to make eye-contact with him to send him an indirect message, or reminder, but he was having a hard time due to Jk stumbling and being in a hurry to exit the small space. Jimin stuttered while saying “let’s go home”, in plural form.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jk says his goodbyes with confidence -
Tumblr media
This prompts Jimin to call out his name and directly tell him to wait for him. He pulls at his ear while doing so - which could be a sign of unease and being worried about Jk’s behavior and the unfolding of events.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Timestamp 21:07)
Despite the request, Jk is still occupied thinking about how he could’ve “gone home” sooner than Yoongi if he had done it just a tiny bit faster, which tells us that he was excited about beating the rest rather than going home soon. As explained below, he had to wait for Jimin either way.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On the way out, Jin - who owns an apartment in BTS’ dorm complex - catches up to Jk and casually offers to leave the building together, meaning it was a reasonable option and a real possibility under normal circumstances.
Tumblr media
He’s met with a lamenting “Aaayy” as Jk cries out in humorous despair. He wished he could say yes and get off already.
Tumblr media
Jin then begins to knowingly and animatedly affirm “It’s this!” mixed with “Aaah”s of realization. Jk confirms.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
An amused Jk let’s us know that the situation is so obvious and planned out that they were able to read each other’s minds. Jin isn’t part of the suspected plot so he doesn’t necessarily need to be informed of the details in terms of execution and timing, but he certainly has to be aware of the general plan of showcasing that Jimin and Jk live together, separate from the rest (whether that’s strictly true or not).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They talk in code, per se. The wording changes from “it’s this” to “it’s that''. Jin probably meant that “this” situation was part of “that” plan, and used these words interchangeably.
Tumblr media
Jk groans, expressing some level of annoyance / sorrow -
Tumblr media
Jin continues making a show out of it, acting silly and bringing a smile to Jk’s face. This is reminiscent of the time Tae said “we can’t be friends” in Taekook’s recent vlive and they both laughed. Jin changes the verb tense and says “it was that?” –we suspect referencing Jimin’s request.

Jk sticks to the plan and waits.
Tumblr media
(Timestamp 26:25)
When Tae and Jimin compete to decide who’ll go home sooner, Jk implies he’s rooting for Jimin because they are heading to the same place, unlike Tae. At least that’s what they want everyone to clearly understand. The point is that, regardless of what their actual living situation is like, even if it hypothetically were to be true - this was the start of their multiple efforts to highlight that Jikook were each other's only flatmates. The authors must remind the readers we do not know the exact living situation of the members and are open to any and all scenarios. Jikook are very close friends and could live together, taking into account Taekook’s restrictions. However, based on some events mentioned further down this paragraph, we speculate this run moment is highly showcased and planned with the intention of furthering the closeting strategy with taekook, as many would think it’s incompatible with them being a couple. After all, Jk could’ve shared a car with Jin. Keep in mind this was the month the strongest closeting strategies were put into effect (tk’s “awkward” vlive, jikook’s living situation, Soop’s “reconnecting” talk...). Additionally, BTS’ first contract was about to be replaced by the new one and, apart from that, dispatch started to act hostile towards the group, although it didn’t last long. BH could have been trying to cut ties with the dreaded magazine responsible for exposing celebrities, but it didn’t go well and kept relations ongoing later in the year. These strategies must’ve still been helpful though.
Jk awkwardly exaggerates his body movements while saying the next sentence:

Tae loses. Captions -

(Timestamp 30:40)
Tae is last in the group and has to spell out BTS in dominoes before going home. Jk checks up on Tae while Jimin changes his outfit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Without being asked, he gives him tips and describes how he should do it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tae suddenly asks him to do it for him.
Tumblr media
Jk complies without protest.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jk and Jimin end up staying to help. Tae even takes advantage and quickly changes clothes while the other two work on the dominoes.
Tumblr media
(Timestamp 33:56)
Once back, Tae joined them on the task while supporting his weight next to Jk’s inner thigh.
Tumblr media
As Tae finishes the task and gives his ending speech to the camera, Jk runs his fingers through his hair, playfully trying to hide a domino in it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media

Jk then accidentally drops the domino, almost causing the hard work to collapse. Tae pauses in his speech to share a bright, fond smile with Jk. Tae coos something to him, though subtitles don’t pick it up (some say he said “did you?”. Sara hears 괜찮아 = Gwaenchana= “it’s fine”).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tae then proceeds to run his hand up and down Jk’s inner thigh, going way up his thigh. The movement is a soothing one and could be read as “It was a close call, but it’s fine. Just be careful”.

The maknae line all join hands in solidarity. Tae’s luck was at stake.
Jimin initiates the gesture in support of Tae, who in turn asks for Jk’s hand. The youngest intertwines it with his, but they change the approach to turn it into a group hand hold, which momentarily confuses Jk and it’s the reason his hand searches for Tae’s -

(Timestamp 36:00)
Sadly, the dominoes didn’t fall all at once, so Tae stayed overtime. Jimin tells him he loves him before leaving with Jk.  This goodbye was given a main focus, making it a successfully completed mission. The narrative was being set.

31 March 2023 Frrriday 1:07 am pdt
The incubus is intentionally making time run 🏃🏻‍♀️ out for me. No one seems to be making any moves to help me. Maybe he’s right . That I deserve this treatment from people that I deserve not to be helped. There’s an idea 💡 I have but I’m hesitant to say it. I thought 💭 of a reason to make me feel ok with it but I forgot what it was. I don’t remember (diarrhea 1:11 am pdt) if it’s contingent on something. I wonder 💭 if I’m being mislead by Wikipedia. Should I say it? Would everyone hate me if I said it? I had to wrestle with a lot of ugly feelings all my life. I’m not the prettiest person on the inside or outside. My mom used to tell me I had s*xy legs 🦵 that’s about it. 1:14 pmpdt maybe I could have been less selfish less greedy less spiteful. More understanding. 1:15 am pdt more careful? 1:15 am pdt I distrust the police 👮‍♂️ bcz of Oakland prostitution case and a lot of shootings such as breonna Taylor. Cops 👮‍♂️ could go in plain clothing and follow (pain right side below bellybutton to the right 1:20 am pdt) carjackings? Why do I feel fearful 😧 of writing ✍️ that? Is it going to bite me back? I guess it’s not possible? 1:23 am pdt what ever. People say god is in control of everything. I expire, and things continue the same as b4? 1:24 am pdt incubus is mocking me in every way. That he has control of everything and every one and whether I get help or not. This fuse YouTube video I think 💭 he’s mocking me. “Brendan” Said I sounded yummy 🤤 the first night we chatted 💬 online on aol after I described myself. In this video he says someone looks look 👀 delicious 🤤. He said he enrolled in five towns college in Long Island 🏝 New York. He said he failed the class even though he played the guitar 🎸 very well in karas flowers 🌸. He failed probably Bcz he missed most of the classes. 1:29 am pdt for some reason when I first watched it I thought 💭 it was clear he skipped most of the classes. 1:30 🕜 am pdt.
2:01 am pdt my dad is very picky about a lot of stuff like music and art. He told me I think 💭 b4 I made it official for señior project he said “you’ll never prove graffiti is art!” So I thought 💭 it was a challenge to prove it. After I did the final presentation one woman 👩🏼 at the end of my presentation, was probably a parent of a student 👨‍🎓 but I didn’t know of who, she basically was like duh 🙄 graffiti is art or like of course graffiti is art 🖼 and then it hit me maybe I chose a stupid topic a stupid thesis. 2:06 am pdt I suddenly felt dumb again. 2:06 am pdt my dad did some airbrush paintings 🖼 of women swimming 🏊‍♀️ under water and a sailboat ⛵️ and a hot air balloon 🎈 when I was a baby/toddler; but I guess that’s very different stylistically and compositionally and format. 2:08 am pdt even though it is basically same medium. 2:08 am pdt 2:09 am pdt
2:40 am pdt 2:41 am pdt I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️ much about the Levine’s family. I assumed initially that he incubus’ dad grew up in Los Angeles. My dad lived there from his ≈preteens forward until he went to college. I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️ who my dad was friends with. He seemed very lonely after the divorce. 2:43 am pdt right foot 🦶 toes tortured with heat and pressure. 2:44 am pdt maybe my dad didn’t have any friends in Los Angeles. I think I read that incubus’ mom went to UCB on Wikipedia around 2013. I saw a post that incubus’ dad had a guitar 🎸 with Berkeley? Labeled on the case? So they probably met at UCB. I forget when I saw a thing on tv 📺 maybe it was 2010, in the uk? 🇬🇧 there was a couple who after dating for a while or after getting married they discovered they’re fathers were best friends. (Top lip and anus sharp pain 2:47 am pdt) so during the summer of last year I hypothesized maybe my dad was friends with them and maybe he didn’t know it? Or maybe 🤔 he did and never told me? 2:49 am pdt but I dont know. I keep comparing myself to Q with her Marilyn Monroe sounding voice when she talks and how she seems affectionate 🤗 all the time. But I also try (pain tearing at my toes 2:51 am pdt) to remind myself of the pictures she probably photoshopped and my new hypothesis that she stole from me. Maybe she’s not as sweet as I thought 💭 originally? But is she excused in every way Bcz the incubus excuses her? Bcz he thinks I deserve it? I think 💭 about the times I have been not nice. Like when I verbally fight with my mom. I’m not perfect I have said/wrote here in this tumblr. Maybe he holds that against me and thinks I’m ugly Bcz of that. Maybe he’s excused Bcz he’s god/incubus/man. And that maybe it isn’t as possible as I had hoped originally to have family planning to control population growth like have one child per family for a few generations and then maybe ncrease when it drops below a specific total enough so that we don’t outpace in growth . I don’t think 🤔 I would like to grow old especially with the way things are going for me. Is this really the only way? Life feels so ugly now. People seem so ugly now to me. Animalistic. Am I capable of being better like I thought I accomplished becoming around 2016-2019? I slipped up 🆙 a few times I wasn’t perfect. 3:01 am pdt I don’t believe anything great will happen for me now. On entertainment tonight Instagram someone was quoted saying about life? We get what we get? So maybe this is it. Nothing is going (right eye 👁 stabbing sharp pain 3:02 am pdt) it doesn’t matter if incubus is killing me and that he’s throwing hints that he was the one I was having cyber s*x and phone s*x with in 2001 when I was age 15-16 years old. If he wants me gone he has the power to make it so. 3:04 am pdt and he will enjoy rubbing it in my face. 3:04 am pdt
3:11 am pdt incubus applied acid to almost my whole spine at once. 😞😖😭this whole thing is a trap 🪤. It’s not fair. 3:12 am pdt
3:17 am pdt I never relied on incubus or anyone to hide the things I have done. When I was probably 4? years old I once played Barbie dolls with a random girl about the same age and I borrowed the clothing without asking I took the clothing home 🏠 and tried it but I always brought it back. I think 💭 she realized partially what I was doing and then stopped playing with me. Incubus has been heating up my feet 🦶. Don’t like it. 3:21 am pdt
4:03 am pdt
4:06 am pdt I can’t upload photos from my phone on to tumblr. If no information ℹ️ has been tampered with online you can look 👀 at Jane Herman’s education on Facebook. It should say she graduated in 2002 from a college? University? In New York. 4:17 am pdt in fuse interview he misleads people about Jane Herman, saying she was going to college in oberlin Ohio. I read online around 2017 that he went with her to New York I thought 💭. I guess maybe 🤔 he went back and decided to do that road trip later? Or they both are lying 🤥???? 4:20 am pdt
4:45 am pdt I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️ when the incubus is telling the truth. It seems he and his family have made up 🆙 an elaborate lie to mislead me about their intentions. I’m starting to believe he’s really friends with Nick carter like he’s friends with Justin Timberlake, maybe even more with Nick carter than Timberlake.😭🥵😤🥵😖😭 acid in throat. Too many acid attacks for me to believe anything else but death ☠️ Will happen to me soon. I wish I didn’t know it was coming. 4:49 am pdt I wish the incubus would kill me with his own hands 🙌 with a guillotine. Leave my mom out of this. I don’t want to see my mom being used in that way like a robot 🤖. 4:51 am pdt
4:52 am pdt if incubus lied 🤥 about Jane Herman being in oberlin Ohio for college maybe 🤔 then the whole cross country road trip was a(left shin pain 4:53 am pdt) lie. 4:53 am pdt don’t remember geometry 📐 postulates and theorems much. Only that it’s like if a is true then b is true type of stuff. 4:54 am pdt I’m afraid 😱 of what the incubus will do next to me and what else he will do sabotage investigations. 4:55 am pdt if he’s lying 🤥 about Ohio it’s like he’s trying to rewrite history. In 2017? He tried to say something like Jane could mean Jane doe, referring to the album 💿 title. 4:57 am pdt he covered up 🆙 his dove 🕊 tattoo he got ≈6 days after 9/11 Bcz he was in the area Bcz he was enrolled at five towns college in Long Island 🏝 New York. It is like he’s trying to rewrite history and doesn’t care. 4:59 am pdt incubus has putting thoughts 💭 and feelings in my mind that I’m a hypocrite? Hypo means under/low? Crite short for critical. If you aren’t critical of yourself do you let yourself off the hook 🪝 for actions such as child rape? Was it sperm found on Jon benet Ramsey December 1996? Months before incubus turned 18? Whose sperm? Not connected to the guy who confessed it said in Wikipedia who started becoming transsexual? I probably should watch it but when I randomly saw it on the news 📰 back in 2002? He didn’t seem normal. He seemed maybe... crazy? Was he a stand in for the real killer to make his getaway? 5:05 am pdt it’s weird to say and think 🤔 but they say anything is possible with god. 5:05 am pdt
5:29 am pdt incubus is making me too anxious and nervous Bcz I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️ when he is telling the truth. I’m starting to believe all men are the same = wicked heinous. 5:30 🕠 am pdt 5:31 am pdt
5:46 am pdt incubus wants to guilt me still about my mom kicking 🦵 out my aunt in 2015. My mom gave my aunt another chance to talk it out with her but she was I guess gung ho? Definition? About saying I am bad bcz god told her, & that god is mad at me. 5:49 am pdt so she doesn’t mind trying to kill us. B4 she was fine living with us and only paying $500 + some utilities. But she tried to order me around. Maybe 🤔 she was trying to see how much she could control me. 5:51 am pdt I was taking accounting classes so my mom would not leave me. That took up 🆙 a lot of time. And she wanted to be a b*tch by being noisy while people are trying to sleep 😴. 5:53 am pdt
5:54 am pdt and I think 🤔 I admitted to my mom that I shouldn’t have yelled at her? And got that way about it. Maybe it helped change her mind to try and talk again about it with her in the park. But I guess she thought 💭 she could get me kicked out instead by saying what she said? I think 🤔 she didn’t realize that I was paying 💰 for most of the rent at the time. Recently she complained to me and made me feel guilt/sorry for her being kicked out Bcz she described her living situation to me after she got kicked out. But she could have prevented that if she was not a b*tch about being noisy when I was trying to sleep 💤 and realize maybe 🤔 that I m trying not to be bad? I was extremely busy with homework 📚 (idle hands 🙌 are the devil’s playground????) and if my mom felt like she could be honest with her she would have told her that I was paying 💰 the rent. My aunt woke my mom up to give her her share of the rent in cash 💰 is what it looked like so I think 🤔 she didn’t trust me? It’s ironic. 6:03 am pdt it really feels like now that the incubus really meant what he told my aunt. But it also looks like he excuses himself and men for anything they do including child rape. 6:05 am pdt I think 💭 that’s REALLY how it is. And it’s a harsh reality to face. Somehow child rapists are better than me? I don’t understand how. I NEVER raped anyone! 6:07 am pdt 6:08 am pdt.
6:13 am pdt I went to a party 🎉 with Q and a guy I only met that evening decided to grope me under my skirt. He was bigger than me and it was the first time aim that situation. The only people I have ever groped were probably the 4 guys I wrote about in this tumblr. 6:16 am pdt I m not proud of the things I did wrong. I wish I could take a time machine and not do anything except stop 🛑 myself from doing any of it. 6:18 am pdt some people seem to have foresight? Definition? Like they know the future but they I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️ probably don’t try to do anything avoidant? Like try not to kill someone? A lot of things I didn’t realize that I’m starting to see? When incubus has started killing my eyeballs 👀 and making it harder to breathe 🧘🏻‍♀️ I’m feeling pressure in my chest. I’m not going to the doctor 👨‍⚕️ anymore. I see signs 🪧 but I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️ if it’s a fake out sign 🪧 or a real sign 🪧. I’m afraid 😱 to say. 6:22 am pdt
6:26 am pdt incubus if you hate me that much kill me already with a guillotine. You had everyone be cruel to me. Please STOP 🛑. 6:27 am pdt do it yourself. Don’t make someone else do it. 6:28 am pdt
6:29 am pdt incubus is too lazy to do it himself. He burned my butt cheek. 6:29 am pdt
7:09 am pdt incubus/miñion comes to visit me to make it hard to breathe 🧘🏻‍♀️. He hurt my heart ♥️ again minutes ago and now I can’t breathe adequately a full breathe 🧘🏻‍♀️. Incubus miñion is a torturous murderer. My life was so unfulfilled. They sabotaged all my efforts to have relationships. They made it hard for me to be in a good mood and to be genuinely happy so I cannot attract or make a genuine connections. And now he hurt my heart ♥️ so I cannot breathe 🧘🏻‍♀️ it hurt a lot. I’m probably dying today now this moment. Hot air is coming out of my throat. They feel nothing for me. I’m not desireable or acceptable no matter what I tried. 7:14 am pdt I spent the last 5 years being called trash 🗑 by incubus and company. 7:15 am pdt
8:09 pmpdt so in the last 24 hours I saw 👀 Nick carter is in Vegas. Incubus is in Vegas. Coincidence? He is probably friends with him. He is not shy to go to where he is. 8:12 pmpdt
😵8:25 pmpdt Nick carter lives in Las Vegas! Didn’t know that until a minute ago.
8:31 pmpdt Depeche Mode was at T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas? The park mgm maroon 5 is doing their residency at looks like it’s across the street! 👀 8:33 pmpdt (diarrhea again 8:34 pmpdt)
9:29 pmpdt incubus/miñion attacked my gluteus maximas? Area with acid again and again and again (loud gurgle 9:30 🕤 pmpdt probably more diarrhea?) 9:31 pmpdt I’m woozy/light headed?/lil dizzy a lot recently. This looks like a witch’s 🧙 sorcery to make me prone to falling and hitting my head on the sharp corner of stone kitchen counter. Is anyone going to stand up 🆙 for me to the incubus? I think 💭 he’s really going to kill me. I don’t have any proof that he is going to keep me around. I think 💭 this is a con to make things go back (right eye 👁 pain 9:34 pmpdt) to the way it was. I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️ much about anything. Am I a jack/yak of all trades? 9:35 pmpdt I feel like I’ve been duped and that I really don’t understand much. I wish I knew more science 🧬 stuff. I only took basic introduction to biology. All I have are probably misleading signs 🪧 to rely on. I missed out a lot on life. It really passed me by. I spent too much time at home 🏠. I formerly was able to recall (acid brain 🧠 skull 💀 pain 9:39 pmpdt) my head trauma pain like it happened yesterday. The incubus almost toook it all away. I remember it hurt extremely bad the pain was so strong. I think I remember it hurt a big part of my skull 💀 maybe the whole thing and my whole brain 🧠? 9:41 pmpdt he’s too skilled at taking memory away. He hurts me so much that it feels like everything he tried to make me believe in last year was a lie. 9:42 pmpdt brings me up 🆙 to fills me up 🆙 to let me down. 9:43 pmpdt I wish I had more good s*x! 😵😖😭😞😫 everything is disappointing! 9:44 pmpdt last 5 years was and is hell, & I was tortured all my life! 9:45 pmpdt 9:46 pmpdt
9:50 pmpdt is it actually 6 years now??? 2017... this celibacy biting my ass. I should have f****d in 2008! 2009, 2010. 9:52 pmpdt
10:26 pmpdt 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017? 10:27 pmpdt
10:32 pmpdt watching 20/20 I think 💭??? David Muir Et al. ABC? 10:34 pmpdt
12:57 am pdt 1 April 2023 Saturday sabado 🪐
12:58 am pdt New York is a fashion capital. I think I read Jane Herman’s family ran a jeans 👖 fashion boutique? Something like that. I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️ what is in Ohio. I think 💭 I read after college she worked for vogue? Was it vogue? A fashion magazine? 1:01 am pdt

Wrong Numbers and Useless Gays Chapter 6
Who the F*ck’s Rebecca? OR How the 3 Gays got Together
Virgil learns about Roman’s childhood, specifically his sister and how he ended up dating Patton and Logan.
Warning: Misgendering of a character (but no one knows that the character is trans)
Yes, Roman and Remus are brothers. Explanations are listed at the bottom
Chapter 5 | Masterlist | Chapter 7
V- (2:07 PM) Let it Go was the best song in Frozen and you cannot convince me otherwise
R- (2:07 PM) I respect your opinion, but hear me out: Love is an Open Door
V- (2:08 PM) No
R- (2:08 PM) What about Fixer Upper?
V- (2:09 PM) Still no.
P- (2:09 PM) I really liked Olaf’s song about Summer!
L- (2:10 PM) I personally enjoyed the reprise of First Time in Forever.
R- (2:10 PM) You like almost any song with a reprise
L- (2:10 PM)I will not argue that, as successfully executed reprises are “lit.”
R- (2:11 PM) Ah, and who among us could forget the absolute BOP that is… that weird ice-cutting song.
P- (2:11 PM) I don’t know, Roman. I think that song is, pretty COOL
R- (2:11 PM) Oh, lookout
V- (2:12 PM) What? He’s just saying it’s a CHILLED out groove.
R- (2:12 PM) Ugh
L- (2:12 PM) We might need you two to leave this chat if you don’t stop.
Virgil laughed, throwing his phone on the bed and stripping out of his clothes. He just finished jogging home from Janus’ (he didn’t own a car right now, preferring to walk or have Janus pick him up). It was a lazy afternoon in late September, and all Virgil wanted to do was get out of these sweaty clothes and maybe take a nap. He heard his phone go off multiple times as he got dressed, probably Patton and Logan arguing about the purpose of puns. He flopped down onto his bed and grabbed his phone, checking the new messages.
P- (2:14 PM) Lo, the Princes are calling.
L- (2:14 PM) Tell Roman not to answer, Patton. We’ve been over this.
P- (2:14 PM) They’re asking about us, Lo.
L- (2:14 PM) Tell Roman to hang up. They’re not worth it.
P- (2:15 PM) They’re yelling now, L. They brought up Rebecca. What do I do?
L- (2:15 PM) Just walk into another room, Patton. Ignore them. Do you want me to call you?
P- (2:15 PM) No, I’m good. Just keep texting me. I need a distraction.
Now, Virgil had no idea about what the fuck was going on. But he knew how to distract someone. He’d just have to trust them to tell him later.
V- (2:16 PM) Did you know that octopi have 3 hearts?
L- (2:16 PM) What
P- (2:16 PM) That just means they have more love to give!
V- (2:17 PM) The longest recorded flight of a chicken is 13 seconds
P- (2:17 PM) Such a good bird!
V- (2:17 PM) Babies do not regularly produce tears until they are 1-3 months old
L- (2:18 PM) Ah, I think I understand now
V- (2:18 PM) A ‘jiffy’ is an actual unit of time. It stands for 1/1000th of a second
L- (2:18 PM) Falsehood. A jiffy is 1/100th of a second
V- (2:19 PM) Sorry, my hand must’ve slipped.
L- (2:19 PM) You would be unable to walk on Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus or Neptune because they have no solid surface.
L- (2:20 PM) An asteroid about the size of a car enters Earth’s atmosphere roughly once a year. However, it burns up before it can reach us.
L- (2:20 PM) The highest mountain known to man is on an asteroid called Vesta. It is approximately three times the height of Mount Everest.
P- (2:21 PM) I think they hung up. Thanks for keeping me company, Kiddos!
L- (2:21 PM) It was not an issue, Patton.
V- (2:21 PM) Yeah, no problem Pat. Now can someone explain what just happened?
L- (2:23 PM) As you can probably tell, I am not home at the moment. Apparently, Roman’s parents decided to call him and an argument broke out. The rest is not my place to say.
Virgil bit his lip, refusing to look at his phone screen. Did Virgil have the right to ask about that. It was obviously a very sensitive topic, and Virgil had only known Roman for about 3 months now. Virgil felt like he knew a lot about his 3 crushes (their quirks, their favorite sweets, their goals in life), but he knew very little about their lives before Virgil had met them. Which was fine; they knew very little about Virgil’s life, too. But he desperately wanted to help Roman; to make him feel happy and safe and loved. Virgil sighed, setting his phone on his nightstand. If Princey wants to tell me what’s going on, I’ll listen. If not, I’ll just have to deal with it.
Virgil woke up from his nap to the sound of his phone going off. He blindly felt around for it, his face still firmly planted in his pillow. He finally found it, turning it on before he lifted his head to read the text. It was a private message from Princey.
R- (3:02 PM) You’re probably wondering what happened today.
V- (3:02 PM) I am, but you don’t have to tell me if you’re not comfortable. I’ll respect your privacy.
R- (3:02 PM) As much as I appreciate that, you still deserve to know.
R- (3:03 PM) Do you mind if I call you? This doesn’t feel like a conversation to have over text.
Virgil thought about it for a moment. He originally never wanted to call Roman, simply because he might recognize Virgil’s voice as Anxiety’s. However, not only was Virgil 99% confident that Roman had never even heard of The Dark Sides, Virgil’s head was still foggy after his nap. Before he knew it, he was already calling Princey’s phone.
“Virgil?” Roman didn’t sound as… grand as Virgil expected. His voice was subdued and slightly hoarse, probably from the screaming match with his parents.
“Heya, Princey.” Virgil cringed at how gravelly his voice sounded. He’ll need to get some water after this conversation is over.
“You sound so tired. Oh my stars, did I wake you up? I’m so sorry. I’ll let you get back to sleep-”
“Princey, it’s okay. Just finished my nap. Might not talk much, but ‘m all ears.”
“Alright. Where do I even begin?”
“Take your time. ‘m not pressurin’ you or anythin’.”
“(sigh) You’re right. I guess I should start at the beginning. I grew up in a very... conservative household. My parents expected me and my sister, Rebecca, to be perfect. ReeRee was my partner in crime. We did everything together up until highschool. My parents expected me to get a football scholarship and date the hottest girl in school. I did those things, not because I wanted to, but because they wanted me to. ReeRee was a different story. When my parents signed her up for cheerleading, she tried to join the football team instead. When they told her she should wear her hair in a ponytail, she cut it off to match mine. I didn’t understand, and it made me angry. It was like looking in a funhouse mirror; she was starting to look more and more like me, and yet each change made my parents angrier. Why was looking and acting like me a problem? I thought they liked this version of me! One night in the summer before junior year I was really frustrated and I took it out on her. I told her to stop acting like me. I knew she didn’t deserve my anger, so I went to Patton’s place to cool down. By the time I came home, my parents refused to acknowledge that I even had a sister. I pushed her away, and now I’ll never get her back.
After that, things changed. I was so angry, and everything I saw reminded me of her. I quit the football team, because every time I went down to the field I expected to see her. I dyed my hair, because every time I looked in the mirror I saw her staring back. I stopped caring about what my parents thought, ‘cause it was their opinions that dragged me into this mess!
I had already been friends with Patton since Freshman year, but me and Logan had been at each other’s throats . We were always bickering about something, and sometimes I used our arguments to vent out my anger at whatever was wrong at the time. I didn’t even realize how much I had cared about Patton and Logan until I learned about the LGBTQ+ community. My parents were super strict, and Patton and Logan didn’t exactly flaunt their relationship. I had no idea that liking guys was even an option . Once I learned about it, my parents quickly tried to shut it down. Everyday, they’d start their day telling me that ‘homosexuality is a sin’ and ‘God made you to be the gender you were born with!’ If they had told me that before ReeRee left, I might’ve believed them. But by this point, I didn’t care about a single thing they told me.
So one day, I’m arguing with Logan about who knows what, and suddenly we’re inches apart, and I remember pa saying ‘ a boy should never kiss another boy.’ And just think, ‘Fuck it.’ And now me and Pocket Protector are suddenly making out behind the school building. Microsoft Nerd asks why the hell I decided to make out with him of all people, and I break down right there. He agreed to keep it a secret, but he refused to do anything more than a simple make-out session until he had Padre’s consent to do so. Which I understood, consent is important, cheating is bad.
Now we’re having these ‘sessions’ at least once a week for almost 4 months. Patton eventually walked in on us and he was understandably upset. I explained what had happened and that I’ve had a crush on both of them for a while. And they’re like ‘cool, we’re polyam.’ And now I’m starting senior year dating two men, which mom and pa were not okay with. I told ‘em to fuck off and we moved away as soon as we graduated. They still call occasionally, asking when I’m gonna get my life together and get over losing ReeRee. I haven’t blocked ‘em yet in case they find her or change their minds.”
Roman finally took a deep breath. “Sorry about the rant. Didn’t realise how badly I needed to get that off my chest.”
Virgil snorted. “Don’t worry ‘bout it. Told ya I’d be a good ear. And Princey?”
“Yeah?”
“You don’t gotta do anything to impress someone else. You bein’ you is good enough. And if Rebecca could see you, I’m sure she’d be proud as hell. And don’t be ‘fraid to hit me up if you need someone other than your SOs to rant to; I’ll always be here for ya, Princey.”
“... Thank you, Virgil. I didn’t realize how much I needed to hear that until you said it.” He sighed, and Virgil could hear the sound of running water. “I’m gonna go drink some water. My throat burns like a bitch right now.”
“Same. Catch you later?”
He could hear Roman chuckle to himself. “I guess you shall. Farewell, Storm Cloud. And pleasant dreams!”
Virgil blushed. The way Roman said his nickname… it made Virgil’s gay heart nearly explode. He quickly hung up and buried his face back into his pillow. I’ll get water later. AFTER my heart stops racing.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, for those of you wondering about why Virgil doesn't realize that Roman and Remus are brothers, I'm gonna put a quick explanation here, 'cause I don't know how to casually fit this into the story. 1.) Remus has never told Virgil his deadname or his last name. He's probably told Janus (since their pretty close) but Virgil doesn't know. 2.) Remus has never told Virgil that his brother's name is Roman. Additionally, when Virgil is talking about the 3 gays, he only calls them "Pat, Lo and Princey." 3.) Roman's parents didn't tell him that Remus transitioned, so he doesn't know that Rebecca now goes by Remus. Also, none of the characters have actually sent pictures of their faces, so none of them have any idea what the other looks like. 4.) It is a total coincidence that both twins moved to the same town. Remus believes that Roman still lives in their hometown, and Remus could be dead for all that Roman knows. There is no logical reason for them to think "maybe Virgil's friends with my long-lost sibling" 5.) Virgil would NEVER out his friends like that. He tells Janus and Remus everything, but he would NEVER betray Roman's trust like that. Same thing for telling Roman about Remus. Roman might know that Remus is trans, but he doesn't know about Remus' background. ONE LAST THING: Roman and Virgil will eventually see each other face-to-face but WON'T recognize each other's voices. This is because during the phone call Virgil is still groggy from waking up and Roman is still hoarse from screaming.

Fool Me Once, Shame On You, Fool Me Twice: How a Revolutionary War Soldier Battled the British & Swindlers
By: Lisa Timmerman, Executive Director
Throughout the Revolutionary War, the U.S. Congress approved pension legislation to help encourage enlistment, keep morale high, and prevent desertion. While the first few resolutions specified long service durations, such as seven years, and/or disabilities, the broader service-pension act on 06/07/1832 opened the doors to every officer or enlisted person who served for at least two years to receive full pay for life. While Congress enabled other acts to provide for widows, offspring, and those serving less than two years, Dumfries born Daniel Cole appeared before the Justices of the Court of Culpeper County on 03/19/1832 to enter his oath and testified on his service as a solider. However, his short appearance and testimony was only the prologue for a more complicated case involving false testimony, fascinating experiences, and a possible swindler.
At age 70, Daniel Cole testified he entered service as a substitute for Philip Conner in 1780, marching in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, directly “assisting in making a road for Washington’s artillery between Fredericksburg and Alexandria”. While he lost his discharge papers, he estimated he served more than six months, sometime between 1780 and 1781. However, he reappeared in front of the Justices of Culpeper County again on 10/20/1845 at the age of 82. Unlike the first application, this testimony was full of fascinating details, experiences, and people. Upping his service to about nine months, he again testified that he served as a substitute but for a different person– Jesse Davis. Davis allegedly gave Cole “a horse bridle and saddle and some “continental money”, which Cole accepted. Cole’s father was not as pleased and apparently attempted to chase him to Richmond, but ultimately failed to bring back his son. Blaming the mistake on his previous 1832 advocate, he fondly remembered exchanging corn for meal or flour with Philip Conner. Cole recalled witnessing a deserter’s execution, the aftermath of the Battle of Cowpens, his role in escorting prisoners of war, and the Marquis de Lafayette’s procession through Prince William County.
Although Cole did not fight in the Battle of Cowpens on 01/17/1781, he was in South Carolina near enough to march to the battleground. “A company of volunteers was raised from the men stationed at Cheraw Hills and I was one of the number – we march to the Cowpens and we reached the battle ground the day after action – this was in January I think. That march made a lasting impression on my mind. The dead were piled in large heaps over the field and slightly covered with dirt – the field was apparently covered with blood – and the ground was covered with bullets. It was an awful sight – from the heaps I saw the hands and feet of the dead projecting from the sides of the mound.” Cole then returned to Virginia with prisoners of war to deliver them to Albemarle Barracks, although it is unclear if they captured them at the Battle of Cowpens or near Cheraw Hills. Throughout the war, the Continental Army and Virginia militia captured British soldiers, German Auxiliary Troops, and Loyalists and held them as prisoners, usually in regions with farms, meaning supplies and food were available. While nations were responsible for maintaining their prisoners, the British were supposed to provide funding for food, clothing, and other supplies if the Americans could not and vice-versa. Although Cole was uncertain on the details of the prisoner’s capture, he noted they “did not average over 12 miles a day” to Albemarle County and was hesitant to provide a specific timeline. Once completed, “…I returned home from the South or from the Barracks the Spring of the year had commenced and as well as I can remember my father was planting corn. To be more particular I think it must have been early in May 1781. In proof of this I know that I saw Marquis De Lafayette with his army at Dumfries in Prince William County a few days after my return from Albemarle – to that place they came I think by water and I spent two days in Dumfries during his stay to witness the parade of his men. Not long after I saw Lafayette and his army at Dumfries in May 1781 I think, a portion of Washington’s army did pass through Prince William and a company was raised I in the number to clear the road for them to pass. Britt was my Captain at that time and we worked very hard – the road was to be cleared between Alexandria and Fredericksburg and that portion which I and our company worked on was between Dumfries and Aquia in Stafford County. I can safely say we were over 15 days at work on that road…”

Benjamin Cole, James Payne, and North Pearson appeared before the court to confirm Cole’s testimony. Childhood friend North Pearson even remembered the family’s distress when Cole joined the war and Cole’s “…sufferings – for want of clothing and victuals.” Unfortunately, by 1846, Cole stopped receiving his pension with indications that Coleman Payne had swindled the money, Cole writing, “I am satisfied that I have been betrayed by a former unfaithful agent (Mr. Coleman Payne) in this matter.” The pension agent in Richmond finally ended the suspension by 1849 as officials collaborated the details, accuracy, and proceedings from the 1832 and 1845 petitions. At least by 1848, Culpeper Justice of the Peace William T. Humphreys noted, “I am confident that He did serve as he states in the militia service of the revolutionary war. His character is fair. He is an old man of unimpeached integrity. He has lived in Culpeper for more than fifty years and he is truthful honest & respectable in the esteem and regard of the Community in which he hasso long lived & is so well known & esteemed.”  While we are uncertain of the accuracy of some of his memories, Cole provided a unique perspective of a traveling soldier and clearly impacted those living in Dumfries and Culpeper.
Descendants of the family worked with HDVI to help answer questions regarding the strategic importance of Dumfries before and during the Revolutionary War to the people living within the Town’s vicinity. Generously, the descendants donated their research and thoughts and provided a few stanzas of a poem they learned as a child, potentially referring to Cole:
“Where are you going, young fellow, my lad
On this early morn in May?
I’m off to join the colors, Dad
They’re looking for men they say.
Why, you’re only a boy, young fellow, my lad
You aren’t obliged to go.
 “I’m seventeen and a quarter, Dad –
And ever so strong you know!”

New Post has been published on https://andybondurant.com/2021/09/07/you-are-invited-in/
You are invited in!
I met my wife when I was 16 years old in the same youth group I went to camp with in Colorado. Before I truly started to follow Jesus, I had stepped out of that world for a couple of years, but I started back after Jesus picked me out.
A group of kids invited me into their community, and they would trek out to my wife’s parent’s house week after week. Her family lived on 80 acres about 30 miles south of the KC metro area. It was mostly young men who made up this group, and we all pretended to be there for the clean, country living.
But my wife is pretty good looking, so I’ll let you do the math. Somehow, I outlasted those guys, she chose me, and thirty years later, we’re married with 4 awesome kids.
The point of sharing this story for you isn’t to brag about winning my wife (but since we’re on the subject…), but to bring back the topic I raised in my last post.
Jesus picked you.
It is a pattern Jesus repeats throughout the gospels. He picked men and women out. Then Jesus invited them into community – just like that group of kids invited into the community where I met my wife. Finally, Jesus called those people up to greater things.
In the Gospel of Luke (5:1-11), Jesus picked Peter out from a community of fisherman. Jesus initially asked to borrow Peter’s boat to teach a large crowd gathered around the lakeshore. When Jesus is done teaching, he instructs Peter to push the boat out a little further and drop his nets for a catch.
Peter, a life-long fisherman, is reluctant. This wasn’t the ideal time of day to fish, but he obeys Jesus’ persistence. To Peter’s surprise (and shame), Jesus performs the miracle of bringing in a two-boat-full haul of fish.
Jesus invites us in.
Jesus picked Peter out from among the crowd, but he didn’t end there. He went on to invite him into a community. Jesus starts by using the guys already with Peter. In the midst or trying to haul in the massive catch, Luke records there was “a shout for help [that] brought their partners in the other boat…”  (Luke 5:7).
Following Jesus’ famous words to Peter (”From now on you’ll be fishing for people!”  -Luke 5:10), he doesn’t follow Jesus alone. Peter leaves with his friends and business partners, James and John. Luke tells us,
“His partners…were also amazed…And as soon as they landed, they left everything and followed Jesus.”  -Luke 5:10-11
Jesus hasn’t just picked you out. He is inviting you into community. Again, this is the pattern of Jesus. He picks us out, but then Jesus invites us into relationship. Of course, the relationship is with himself and the Father and the Spirit, but it also is the community of Jesus’ followers locally and around the world.
So if Jesus has invited us into this community, it’s important to know both what community is and why community matters.
What is community?
Community is the Church. That is Church with a capital ‘C’ – the global church. The church is global, but community takes place in the local church. It is not uncommon to hear someone say something like, “I love Jesus, but I’m not really into church.” They may go onto say, “The church is just too hypocritical.”
I won’t try to argue those statements, but I will share two points why those aren’t reason enough to abandon the local church.
1. We are told to meet.
“Let us not stay away from church meetings. Some people are doing this all the time. Comfort each other as you see the day of His return coming near.”  -Hebrews 10:25
Scholars aren’t sure who wrote the book of Hebrews, but whoever wrote it couldn’t have made this point any more clear. Keep meeting. Church matters.
There are lots of reasons to meet with other believers on a regular basis, but the writer of Hebrews lists one here – comfort. We need community when times are tough. This pandemic season has been really hard, but those who have a strong community (both in-person and virtual) are the ones both making it through and thriving in the midst of difficult times.
2. The church equips us and builds us up.
“Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.”  -Ephesians‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭NLT‬‬
The Apostle Paul wrote the book of Ephesians, and in chapter four Paul talks a lot about the church. He calls for unity because we need one another. We need one another because all of us have different gifts and talents from God.
He begins to wrap this passage up with the above verse. The church (specifically the different people with their unique gifts who make up the church) equip us and build us up. Paul goes on to say when we are equipped and built up, we are mature and strong in our faith.
Church is more than a Sunday morning meeting. In the modern American church, it is hard to find community in a weekly gathering of several hundred or thousand people. In fact, it’s nearly impossible to find community in that setting. More than likely, if you attend a large church, you will find true community in separate gatherings of smaller groups (10-15) of people. If you want to really grow as a follower of Jesus, you will find spiritual life in a small community group.
Why does community matter?
As a believer in Jesus, you are invited into this type of community. If I haven’t already convinced you of it’s importance, let me give you three more reasons why community matters.
1. Community comes to your aid.
In the Hebrews passage, we saw that one purpose of the church is to comfort one another. In the story of Jesus and Peter, we see Peter’s community coming to his aid when the catch of fish overwhelmed him and his boat.
I experienced this first hand when Kia required major surgery earlier this year. My church community came around us to provide meals, help with kids, and be with her when I couldn’t. Our community came to our aid.
Who will come to your aid
2. Community walks with you.
When Peter walked away from his life as a fisherman, he didn’t need physical help, he needed the comfort of someone walking with him. We saw how his friends James and John also left their work as fisherman to walk with Peter.
During this last two years of stress, I’ve needed people to simply walk alongside me and listen to my frustrations. They’ve needed me to do the same with them. I needed people to be with me; nothing more could be done.
Who is walking with you?
3. Community knows you.
I recently listened to a podcast with rapper, poet, speaker, Jackie Hill Perry, and her husband (also a poet), Preston. In the podcast, they spoke about handling fame.
Fame, of course, is very subjective. What I experience as fame may be different than what you would experience. Both of our experiences will never match what Kanye knows as fame. Within this context, fame simply means being known for a gift or talent outside of who I really am as a person.
More than likely, you are famous at your work. In other words, you are known for the gift you have to do your job, but it is completely separate from who you truly are. In this podcast, Jackie Hill Perry said this,
“My gifting always outshines my character.”
It was so powerful that I stopped the podcast, paused the walk I was on, and I made a note of it in my phone. Seen only through the eyes of my abilities, you will believe I am a better person than I really am. My gifting always outshines my character.
Because of this, I need a community of people around me who know me…truly know me. I need them to bring me back to reality. I need them to point out my short comings, and encourage me to be better.
Who truly knows you?
Picked out. Invited in. Called up.
Jesus picked you out. Jesus also invited you into this type of community. I admit, it’s not always easy. Sometimes the humanity of Christians interferes with their Christ-likeness. I implore you not to keep you from finding community.
Jesus has invited you in, so you can be built up. Even more important, Jesus has invited you in, so you can be called up to greater things.
This is what Jesus does.
He picks us out. He invites us in. He calls us up.

Stay with Me
Warnings-alcohol consumption, angst, a lil fluff, swearing.
Y/F/I/C- your favorite ice cream
Ummm I think that’s it. Ha hope you enjoy
Stay with Me
“These nights never seem to go to plan.I don't want you to leave, will you hold my hand?” - Stay with Me, Sam Smith
Your POV
Oh. Shit.
Fuck.
FUCK
I’m drunk
Well what a way to start off Monday night, right? I’m an idiot. Me. I’m an idiot. I’m drunk and an idiot. My best friend Jack Daniels, warmed my throat. It felt good against the soreness I had from screaming and crying.
“Why do you always do this?” I screamed
“Do what? My fucking job?” He retorted
“I’m not asking you to not do your job, I’m asking you to call me once or twice so I know you aren’t dead!”
“But I’m not dead!”
“I didn’t know that Spencer!” I cried. “I thought you were gone! You didn’t call me all week and I-I thought something happened!”
“I’m sorry Y/N” Spencer spoke instead of screaming for the first time.
“You don’t get to be sorry anymore! I’m done with this!”
“Y/N” he whispered, tears falling down his cheeks.
I let the tears fall while finishing my drink. I opened my eyes. Only to find a nearly empty bar.
“Excuse me? We close in 15 minutes.” The bartender spoke sweetly.
“Ohsorry.” I said, my words connecting like a magnet to a broken refrigerator. I tried to collect myself as best I could before even attempting to stand. I hopped off the barstool, struggling to keep my balance. I about fell out of the door into the cold world. One where my throat still felt like leather and my heart like a lump of coal.
Now to my next task. I needed a ride. I stared at the clock on my phone
90:4
Wait
4:09.
That makes more sense.
I opened my phone in search of a contact who would even consider picking up my call. And then I saw it
Spencer✨❤️
My heart had been unwilling to change his contact name. I stared at the name for what felt like years.
I shouldn’t…
“No, Spencer!” I yelled, hurriedly packing my bag. “I can’t do this anymore. I can’t keep giving everything I have to you. There’s nothing left for me! I love you Spencer. But”
“Y/N!” Spencer yelped
“We’re done. I’m sorry.”
“Please, Y/N!”
“Spencer.”
“I love you Y/N”
“I wish I could believe you.”
I slung the bag over my shoulder
“Baby, please!” He gasped
I swung the door open.
“Goodbye.” I whispered.
I quickly walked down the hallway, the flight of stairs, and out the door into the pouring rain
Before I could comprehend what was happening my phone lit up.
Calling Spencer✨❤️…
“Y/N?” He said in a cautious voice
“I-I… Oh, sorryspencer. Ididntmean tocall you.” I hiccuped
“Are you drunk?”
“No. I’m fit asa motherfuckingfiddle” I lied
“Where are you?”
“I justhad a drink with a few friends” I lied again.
“Where?”
“Barney’s. They have those *hiccup* those pretzels.”
“It’s 4 in the morning Y/N.”
“Yeah, but you’re still up” I retorted
“Stay there”
“Stay where?”
“Stay at Barney’s.”
“Why? They’re closing?”
“Just stay there!” He yelled
Call ended
Wait did I just fucking call my ex? Why did I? God I’m going to pay for this aren’t I?
I didn't know why I was standing here. Oh god my feet hurt. I kicked off my straps heels and quickly bent down to pick them up. I watched the cars passing by for about 3 and a half minutes until a car pulled up.
“Spencer?” I whispered to myself while walking towards the car
“Hey sexy!” Said a man who looked to be about 35 years old. “Do you need a ride home?”
“Yeah.” I said. “Are you offering?”
“Maybe, but it will cost you.” He smirked
“How much?” I said while reaching for my purse
“No no not money baby.”
“How will I pay you then?” I asked confused.
“You’ll find out, sweetheart. Let’s go” he said while unlocking the car.
I opened the door before being grabbed by someone behind me.
“No, she’s not going anywhere with you” said the man.
I quickly whipped around.
“S-Spencer?” I asked more confused than I was before
“Get in the car Y/N.” He said with an authoritative twinge in his voice.
“No. I don’t want to go anywhere with you.” I spat
“Y/N! Get in the car!”
“Fine!” I yelled
I stumbled my way into the passenger seat of Spencer’s car. It smelled like it always had, like the cologne I’d spray on his clothes when he was away on cases so I could sleep.
The rain felt good on my face. It mixed in with the tears that I finally let fall. I didn’t know where to go now. I had stayed with Spencer for the past 8 months. By this point, my friends were his and his were mine. Most of my friends lived in another city, and I didn’t have a car, since I worked at the elementary school just 2 blocks down. So I went to the first place I could think of.
I was soaking wet as I climbed up the many stairs. Penelope lived only 3 blocks from Spencer and I. From Spencer. I finally found her place and hesitantly knocked.
“Hey gorgeous how are you?” She asked while opening the door.
I took one look at her and started sobbing.
“Oh dear come here” she said as she pulled me into a hug. “Let’s get you cleaned up okay?”
I nodded. She led me to her bathroom and placed a fluffy towel on the towel holder.
“I’ll put some pjs in the dryer and I’ll put them back in here when they’re nice and warm okay sweetie?”
I sniffled and nodded again.
The shower was warm and comforting. I needed it so bad. I would’ve stayed in there forever if I could, never to face the world again. But there were kids to teach and papers to grade. Penelope has just placed a warm pair of pjs next to the towel before leaving me. I reluctantly turned off the water and dried myself off. I put on the comfy pajamas and left the bathroom, but I didn’t see Penelope.
After a minute of berating the man who tried to pick me up, he walked back to the car and climbed in the driver seat. It took a minute before he broke the silence
“What were you thinking? I told you to stay here?”
“I was getting a ride home, Spencer! I didn’t know you were going to pick me up!”
“I thought that was pretty obvious Y/N” Spencer said while starting to drive
“I didn’t! I thought you were gonna call me a cab or something!”
“He was going to make you fuck him for a ride, you know that right? He was probably going to make you suck his dick or something else disgusting.” He cringed
“Yeah so what! At least I wouldn’t be stuck here arguing with you!”
“Y/N. You’re kidding”
“He probably would’ve had the balls to call me.” You said calmly, making sure it stung.
Spencer gripped the steering wheel tighter, and didn’t say another word the whole ride.
You almost fell asleep on the window but before you knew it you were home. No, you were at Spencer’s apartment. That hadn’t been home in a week and a half. Penelope has insisted you stay until you found a place. That woman was a goddess.
“Take me home” I said trying to sound mean
“No, I don’t trust you to not drink more right now. I want to keep an eye on you.” He said through his teeth.
“Fine” I mumbled as we walked up the familiar steps into my old apartment.
I went into my. I went into his bedroom and found a fair of pajamas that I had left behind. Then I walked into the bathroom to brush my teeth with the toothbrush I had left behind. Everything here was in the same place it was when I left. Like a museum, or art gallery. There were invisible do not touch signs on all of my things.
Spencer stood in the doorway of the bathroom, staring at me like I was a ghost.
“What?” I asked defensively. That’s when it all broke.
Penelope was back after 5 minutes of me listening to the neighbors down the hall laugh and talk over what I’m assuming was a few too many glasses of wine.
She opened the door, with a bag in her hand.
“So since I’m the best I got you, a toothbrush because you probably forgot yours, ice cream because duh, and I also got some chocolate, because also duh.”
I let out a slight chuckle.
“You really are the best Pen.”
She sat down beside me on the makeshift bed she had already made on her couch.
“Okay now tell me what happened”
“I-I-I just couldn’t take it anymore. He didn’t ever call me and I just thought something bad happened, and I was freaking out! He could’ve just texted me once! I needed to know he was alive. He’s done this so many times too!” I sobbed
“Shhhhh baby it’s okay.” Penelope soothed while running my back.
“I just didn’t know what to do.”
“Well how about now, we watch Dirty Dancing and break out this amazing Y/F/I/C, okay? I’ll be right back with that and a nice bottle of wine.”
“Okay” I managed to smile
“What?” I asked defensively. That’s when it all broke.
“I missed you so much Y/N! I couldn’t even bear to move your toothbrush. I slept with your clothes desperately trying to get some comfort, but it never came!” He sobbed. “I need you Y/N. I need to protect and take care of you. I need to kiss you in the morning, i need to make you tea at night. I need to make breakfast with you on Sundays. I need you, Y/N.”
You tried to stop yourself from crying.
“Why didn’t you ever call?”
“I don’t know baby. If I could go back and call you I would. I would blow up your phone with heart emoticons and voicemails of how much you mean to me.”
I squeezed beside him to go into the bedroom. I crawled into bed.
“Baby please, just talk to me” he pleaded.
I turned off the light
“Goodnight Spencer.”
“Goodnight Y/N.”
4:48
4:49
4:50
4:52
4:57
Not one hint of sleep approaching. I slowly climbed out of bed and entered the living room.
“Spencer?” I asked quietly
“What is it?” He said just as quietly.
“Stay with me” I said before turning back to the bedroom. He quickly followed crawling in bed next to me.
“I’m sorry. I really am. I shouldn’t have walked out on you.” I spoke softly trying to hide the pain in my voice.
“And I should’ve called you. With my job I need to do better in regards to keeping you updated. I just want you to know I’m safe.”
“Spencer? Do you want me to leave?” I asked. “After all I’ve done I understand if-”
“I don’t want you to leave.” He pleaded while scooching closer to place a kiss on my forehead. “Will you hold my hand?” I shyly requested.
“Anything for you.” He replied.
“I’m so sorry Spencer.” I repeated.
“Don’t be. I have all I need for the rest of my life right in front of me.” He said before kissing me.
“Goodnight Spencer Reid.” I muttered.
“Goodnight beautiful.” He whispered.
These nights never seem to go to plan, but I’m happy it ended the way it did, with me in Spencer’s arms.

Jamie Johnson BAFTA Q&A Full transcript
Tumblr media Tumblr media
14:02:35 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: Good evening, everyone and welcome to this special BAFTA event as part of Pride Month. I'm Alex Kay-Jelski. I'm the editor in chief of the athletic and I'm going to be moderating a discussion of Jamie Johnson, Tackling Issues Head On.
14:03:09 I'm sure you have seen the incredible episodes that have been airing recently and before we have a great discussion with your panelists. I have bits of housekeeping. Live captioning is available if needed on this, click the option at the bottom of your Zoom panel. Also, we will be taking questions later, because we want to answer your big queries, but to do that, use the Q&A button at the bottom. We will not see you on the chat function.
14:03:44 I will give you a five minute warning to get the questions in and we will get in as many as we can in the next hour. So here we are, Jamie Johnson, what an incredible, incredible few episodes as we saw Dillon comes to terms or start to terms with his sexuality and being gay and coming out in a time of him being a starring footballer and how difficult that was for hill.
14:04:17 I think in a world where a lot of people feel comfortable going to football grounds, not like anyone is allowed at football grounds right now, unfortunately. With people coming to terms with who they are, trying to speak to their family about it, trying to speak to their friends about it. Really moving, fantastic drama.
14:04:39 We're going to talk to the key people and try to explain why it is so important and what effect it had and will continue to have. So I will stop prattling on because you are probably bored of hearing from me because there are far more interesting people to hear from.
14:04:58 We have Shaun Duggan the lead writer on Jamie Johnson. He has been BAFTA nominated alongside of Jimmy from the accused and he is famous for righting the lesbian kiss in brook side. I'm old enough to remember that.
14:05:33 Next, we have actors Laquarn Lewis and Patrick Ward, so hello to you two. We have Cheryl Taylor. Cheryl is the head of content of BBC Children and she commissioned Jamie Johnson and all of the BBC content, that is hard to say when you say it quickly for television and online.
14:06:03 For now, we have Hugo Scheckter who is the head of Player Care of West Ham United. Later, we have an extra because we're going to be joined by the executive producer Anita Burgess who produces Jamie Johnson for BBC. Lots of people with lots of things to say. We should get started, shouldn't we?
14:06:32 I'm going to talk to Shaun first, because I think you're the best persons to answer this question. Jamie Johnson has always been a huge success, we're in series five now, great ratings, lots of interest, telling really, really important stories that reflect sort of the lives of children and teenagers. Why do you think the show has been so popular and why does it engage this audience so well?
14:07:07 >> Shaun Duggan: I think for what you have said and from the outset, we wanted to tell a show that felt very real and reflect the lives of our young audience and not patronize or condescend them. My background is working on soap operas and other stuff and this was rarely the first big show I worked on in children's drama.
14:07:40 I have to say, I didn't approach it any differently. I approached it in the same way as I would an adult drama. Obviously, there are things you have to be careful of in terms of language, but in terms of thinking of challenge in story, thinking about what reflects the young audience as lives, what is important to them and just in terms and I'm sure we'll talk more later about how the whole Dillon story came about.
14:08:08 If I could say from a personal experience, when I was younger, I could I've with the show because I'm football mad, working-class background, I remember my dad carrying me over the turnstiles and slipping the man some cash and all I wanted to do was play football in the street and that is why I was obsessed with going to every game I could.
14:08:39 Then I got to about 11 and things changed because suddenly all I play football with didn't want to be my friend anymore and people started saying I was gay, queer, in the 80'S, I did not know what these things were. It I just knew I was something bad and something to be ashamed of and things got worse where I was not welcome to play football anymore.
14:09:14 People turned their backs on me and all through senior school, for me personally, I had a hellish experience. I left school without any qualifications and not just talking verbal bullying, I'm talking getting beaten up most days, so school became about survival. I couldn't turn to the teachers. You were not allowed to talk about gay issue, I couldn't go  home and tell my own family.
14:10:04 They were homophobic, not homophobic in a bad way, but we didn't know and I know firsthand how isolating and lonely, you know that is to be a young, gay person. I know things have changed to a degree, but in terms of education these things aren't talked enough within school, so to get this opportunity to tell a story like this in children's drama, I have to say a massive thank you to Cheryl and everyone at CBBC. If they don't support it and go along with it, then it wouldn't happen.
14:10:31 I have to say I found it very emotional seeing these stories going out on screen last week, not only that but everything around it, the support on news, the presenters after they talked to the audience and it is OK to be yourself and it made me proud to be a part of it and how far we have come.
14:10:46 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: Do you think producing a show like this plays a role a little bit, a small role in helping the next generation of kids who are growing up, teenagers who are coming to terms with who they are, they don't have to go through what you have gone through.
14:11:24 >> Shaun Duggan: Absolutely, it is all cliche really, but if people say, if we telling this story, we can help one person not to feel -- let them know they are not on their own it is really worth doing. You mentioned at the intro, I did the lesbian kiss, which is almost 30 years ago now, but to this day, people who are in their 50s or whatever will approach me and when I meet them and you can tell people are in isolated communities with a traditional family.
14:11:34 The impact of seeing that story line on screen and making it feel less alone and that is so powerful.
14:11:54 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: Cheryl, does the BBC have a role to play in that sense in trying to reassure people like this program does and let them know they are not alone? How important is it when you're choosing which programs to put on air does that come into play?
14:12:31 >> Cheryl Taylor: Thanks, Alex. It is really important to us.  Obviously, as a public service board, we are there to inform and to entertain and I think we want the children who are watching our shows to feel good about themselves and feel informed. I think it is key. It sets us apart from other broadcasters and listening to Shaun there, such a powerful story that he has told, not just on Jamie Johnson, but to us here this evening.
14:13:02 I think, I don't know how old Shaun is, but he looks younger than someone who wrote brookside 30 years ago. When I was the age of Patrick and Laquarn, I would not have had any role models and it is fantastic that people are able to write these important stories and we very much want to reflect them.
14:13:31 I have to point out it takes a special kind of writer and special performer to achieve what Jamie Johnson has achieved and the whole production team as well. A lot of people have talked about authenticity at the moment and to hear Shaun talk about the story that has woven into a football series.
14:14:06 Jamie Johnson has been around for a long time and to artfully weave that story, in a sense, I don't think any of the fans or viewers would have felt in a sense they were being preached at or lectured, which I think is amazing. I think Patrick has taken us through Dillon's journey in a way that Shaun has given us the story, a coming of age story, someone finding his identity and that is something all kids will be going through. They will all be looking for signals and for help.
14:14:42 It is hard being a kid and hard growing up, so you know, absolutely, I think the BBC is the platform for this type of story, but fair play to these guys. They told it beautifully. I was seeing the comments on Patrick and Laquarn's Insta and there are people saying this is amazing and this is great to seeing this happen. People have written, what an amazing episode of Jamie Johnson. It is such a valuable series.
14:14:49 I'm grateful to Shaun and all of the team for telling the story so beautifully.
14:15:12 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: Shaun, how do you write for a teenage and child audience? How do you get insides of the heads of teenagers and people of that age and make it relevant to them? As been mentioned in this call already, you are not a teenager anymore.
14:15:44 >> Shaun Duggan: No, but I thank Cheryl for the comments they am older than you might realize. I have lots of nieces, nephew, firstly, we have all been teenagers so I have been there. But I have nieces and nephews and so many of my friends' children love Jamie Johnson. In the past, for example, I tried to incorporate stories being relevant.
14:15:58 We had Dillon being diabetic in an earlier series because my friend's daughter was diagnosed with type I diabetes and that is where the idea came from, so you draw from all of those experiences.
14:16:10 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: Patrick, do you remember the day they came to you with the idea of this story line and how did that feel? It is quite a responsibility, I guess.
14:16:41 >> Patrick Ward: Sure, I do remember the day, actually, before every series, I would meet with Shaun and Anita and talk about the next year and this idea was brought forward. To be honest, while a lot of people may see it as being a surprise, when you look back over Dillon's journey, it made a lot of sense and as playing Dillon, it felt organic and needed in society as well.
14:16:56 Yeah, definitely, I think that is really important as well, I have younger brothers and sisters who fancy the star and to see their response and other people, it has been brilliant.
14:17:20 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: How many barriers do you think there are to breakdown? For example, hopefully, this makes a lot of people feel more comfortable and better about themselves, but realistically, when you went and told your friends about this twist in Dillon's character, were you nervous about the response that you would get? Has that been positive?
14:17:42 >> Patrick Ward: I suppose you are nervous, for me especially with negative feedback, it is more kind of, like what Shaun was talk about earlier, it shows that it is perform that we're doing this story line. When you see negative feedback, which is not a lot of it to be fair, most of it is positive, but I think it is important.
14:18:03 People around me responded very well and my family was very supportive and is very forward thinking. I was proud to be doing it and I didn't care what other people had to say about it negative thinking, because I'm honored to be a part of it.
14:18:13 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: Laquarn, how did you feel that? Do you think Jamie Johnson has a unique way of telling a story like this?
14:18:45 >> Laquarn Lewis: Yeah, I think it is unique in terms of the way he told the story, because any story can educate people on coming out and finding your own sexuality, but Jamie Johnson has done this through an industry which seems to be gay in football, especially and they tackled this on one of their main characters and followed the journey of his homophobic past with himself, his younger brother and dad.
14:19:16 He was only sharing the homophobic because that is what he was used to around his family and maybe his football team, you know, so the fact he had to hold it in for so long and hide who he is because of his passion for football. Jamie Johnson told an amazing story and did an amazing job of getting it across and you can be who you want to be no matter what your dreams are.
14:19:49 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: I think it is great that he was not playing into people's stereotypes as well. Some people like to think what they know what a gay person looks like, talks like, walks like, right, Dillon did not fit the stereotypes. Hugo, I don't know if you had the same thing, but when I came out, a lot of people were like, oh, we didn't see that coming necessarily, which is fine but you wish they had known it was coming because it was less of a surprise.
14:20:06 I think the fact that Dillon was not what some people would expect is a great thing for the audience because it makes them think about their own assumptions and prejudices, if you don't mind.
14:20:31 >> Shaun Duggan: I hope you don't mind me jumping, in but it made the story more interesting. The audience had these expectations of Dillon that someone like him wouldn't be gay, so therefore, that makes it more challenging.
14:20:48 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: Yeah, absolutely. Did you, Patrick, Laquarn get involved in the story line or were you good boys and did what you were told?
14:21:07 >> Patrick Ward: Well, we rehearsed beforehand, actually in this house, in the next room. Laquarn came with someone we have known for a long time and rehearsed this kind of thing. I think it is very important as well.
14:21:42 >> Laquarn Lewis: He made us do games where we had to get to know each other really well before we shoot the scenes, so the story that we were telling was truthful. We had to do this one task and we had to look at each other and we couldn't smile and we had to keep pushing each other. He did so many games to get us on to a level where our relationship outside of acting could really like grow for our onset acting and I think that helped a lot.
14:22:10 >> Patrick Ward: I was going to say it is interesting because if you look at Dillon when he meets Elliot, it is like when he first sees him. It is like there is something that goes on insides of his brain. He doesn't understand what it is, but there is something and it is new and it happens very quickly, so I think it is important that me and Laquarn were able to understand each other as people and actors beforehand, definitely.
14:22:28 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: Absolutely. We touched on this is a little, Cheryl, but outside of this show, generally, do you feel the BBC has a responsibility to put forward stories that represent underrepresented parts of audiences?
14:23:08 >> Cheryl Taylor: Yes, I was just thinking there when Shaun was talking about Patrick having diabetes just using Jamie Johnson as an example and this is one example of one of many, many dramas that we do. The different storylines that people judge as mainly football drama. We covered Jamie's family and kids looking after sick parents, so young carers, we had the homophobia, we had bullying. Just in that one series, you have a set of writers and producers and commissioners
14:23:50 Who intend to broaden the scope to be as inclusive and relevant as many kids as possible. Someone was talking about we know a lot of girls watch Jamie Johnson as well, so across the piece, it is important that all of our brands have a broad appeal. I think, I know I sound like I'm heaping praise on these wonderful creators but because I think they deserve it in this one drama. Secret life of boys, all of these shows on the surface, you can say this is a comedy, this is a drama.
14:24:19 Under beneath of that, every episode addresses these issues and reflects many of the audience's lives as many as possible and giving them tools and strategies to manage their own lives. I do think suggest a scale and a specialty skill and I don't think anyone watching the show would argue that they have done it incredibly well. It is very important.
14:24:44 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: That is it, isn't it? We can talk about sport and football and LBGTQ relationships in a minute, but Jamie Johnson, this story line is a show about football largely, but the story line is not about football. You can be any young more than or older person who doesn't have the courage to come out or the opportunity to come out and see that.
14:24:59 Hopefully, be confident and inspired by it. This is not about football, right, either of you, this is show to reach out to a much, much wider audience.
14:25:27 >> Cheryl Taylor: As I say it is about identities, rites of passage, coming of age and the journey that Dillon goes on, especially the extraordinary scene with his dad, for any kid, you know who is thinking about a difficult conversation that they might want to have, that would have been key. That would have been crucial and the fact that he goes to speak to Jamie. He reaches out to his friends and gets advice.
14:25:51 That is where the beauty of having Elliot there who has gone through this before, who has to some degree come to terms with his identity and that gives lots of information, lots of hope, useful take out for kids who are watching and feeling uncertainty about their own identity.
14:26:23 >> Shaun Duggan: I think that is, if you don't mind me jumping in again, really important because we established in the story that Dillon's family is homophobic. We ran a story where his little brother was kicked out of the club about making homophobic comments about Ruby's foster parents. We have time to establish that, but it felt important when we brought in Elliot's character that he was coming in from a different place.
14:26:37 He was comfortable in who he was. He says on screen that he had been brought up with gay people, so they had different experiences, but learned from each other's experiences.
14:27:03 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: Also for parents, too, right? This is not an easy conversation and not always an expected conversation for parents as well. I think is very hard to know sometimes how to react and how not to react and everyone wants to say they want to be understanding with their children, but some parents may get shocked and surprised and don't react in the most helpful ways.
14:27:13 With that scene in particular with Dillon and his dad is a good thing to pin up on the wall, and go, whatever you do, don't do that.
14:27:39 >> Shaun Duggan: Again, in terms of that is such a powerful scene, very difficult to watch and all of the actors played it so brilliant, but there is quite a pit of the series to go, so although Dillon's dad reacted veried badly, he will have his own journey to go on through the rest of the series.
14:28:18 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: Hugo, you sat there patiently and calmly and nodding in the right places, so now you get to talk. Hugo works in west ham. He is in the dressing room with players. He is helping them out. He used to work at Southampton, so he works at various football clubs. He understands football. He is a gay man in football. What did you think watching this and do you think football is a different place than other parts of society?
14:28:56 >> Hugo Scheckter: First of all, it struck me how powerful it was and it was jarring from a kids' TV show. I'm not someone who watched Jamie Johnson on a regular basis before, I don't know if I'm supposed to say that. This was my first expectation of the show, watching cartoons with my nephew. Did not know what to expect, but I thought, wow, this is hard hitting and I was jarred by the whole Dillon and his father's scene.
14:29:24 I think it was absolutely fantastic to highlight that. In terms of football, I think it's a different environment in a lot of ways, but negative and positive. I think a lot of people see football as this horrible, you know, macho, alpha-male environment. The changing room is one of the most diverse groups of people you can meet.
14:30:08 We've got on the team, for example, a guy from the republic of Congress go who is friends with a Scottish guy and a Hawaiian guy and you probably don't see that in society on a general basis. I think seeing the role molls come -- models coming out, but you're seeing it in the lockdown, but allies and I think people have spoken openly and eloquently about the importance of the rainbow campaign or openly gay players or role models.
14:30:42 For me, I was in the closet and I came out about two or three years into Southampton. My job is to look after players and the families and I was trying to get the players to trust me without sharing all of myself. Once I did, the relationship was so much closer and even today at lunch, I had a player ask me about my coming out and how I realized and he talked about how he would react if his kids came out.
14:31:14 That is a conversation that you would not expect to be in a changing room or a club and the amount of discussions we had about LBGTQ issues or trans issues, I'm not shaggymane expert, but I'm a resource and I think it is hugely encouraging and it means they are inquisitive people. I think they get a bad rap and I'm 100% sure who came out would be fully accepted in the change room.
14:31:44 Players want you to be a good person and a good player and if you can 10 us stay in the league or other teams' cases, higher up in the league, that is all that matters. It does not matter who you are or what you do in your free time, what religion you are or sexual orientation, it does not matter as long as you're a good person or a good player. I think football gets a worse rap than it deserves at times.
14:32:22 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: I would counter it to be the awkward person to say going to football is the only place I would not hold my husband's hand in public. It is one thing to know what it is like in the dressing room and that is fascinating, it is another thing to walk into a football stadium and the atmosphere and the words that you hear there, whether it is racist stuff, homophobic stuff, football as a sport has a long, long way to go percent. Sports has a long way to go. There are not out
14:32:59 Is not a great place. You say it was Dillon's line in the episode, there is no out -- no out footballer in this country, how can I sort of come out and be successful and that is the crux of that is a big part of the episode, isn't it? It is a really complex question because the worst thing that can happen people endlessly talking about it and the witchhunt of we need gay footballs. Who is the gay footballer?
14:33:14 I think the narrative needs to be a welcoming environment so people feel comfortable and that may take another generation's time.
14:33:53 >> Hugo Scheckter: There are gay women footballers in the west ham. You know what, yeah, I can talk to my experience in the changing room. To be honest, I go to every game we play and I don't hear the negativity. I think there is a lot of discussion in football about this banter and from an outsider's point of view, especially in the change room, it can be seen as negative. The way I felt was the players did not joke about anything, whether it was my sexuality or whatever else,
14:34:20 My hair, my weight, or whatever it is, that means they accept me. If it is like, don't talk about gay stuff that is like they don't accept me. I had players saying can I make a gay joke to you and I say as long as you make it to my face and prepare for me to come back at you and I think that is a little bit of a difference in football environment where other industries it would not be acceptable.
14:34:46 At the end of the day, we are focused of doing one thing, which is winning matches and we have a match tomorrow. We're all focused on that we're not worried about what everyone is doing around that. We're worried about everything is doing everything they can to beat Chelsea or get a point at this point, but it is important that we work together for that one goal.
14:35:06 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: Just a quick, not warning as such, advisory, that we will probably start the questions in a few minutes. I can see there are few in there. If you want to ask these lovely, almost interesting people questions, make sure you get them so we can make you as happy as possible.
14:35:18 What is acting like in comparison, Laquarn, Patrick, do you feel that is a welcoming environment for people to be themselves?
14:35:54 >> Laquarn Lewis: Well, I feel like it. Yeah, there is, but there is a lot of discrimination in the acting industry, it is not just football. I feel like, especially with type casting that is very hard in the industry, because if you act or look a certain way then it is most likely you're going to get put for this same character over and over again. It is good to just play something different to yourself and get that opportunity.
14:36:07 It is getting better in the industry, but like I said, I'm happy to play whatever, especially this role right here, because I'm helping so many people, so I'm -- thank you, yeah.
14:36:13 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: Have you had people get in touch with you to say it has helped?
14:36:17 >> Laquarn Lewis: You can do this one, Patrick.
14:36:49 >> Patrick Ward: Yeah, yeah, definitely, it has been mostly positive and that is the benefit thing for me is seeing people with a message saying this has helped me come to terms with this or this helped me speak about this and that is all we're trying to achieve and just I'm proud watching the episode because everyone did such a good job. It has been fantastic and see how people have responded in a good way.
14:36:57 There has been some negativity, but a lot of people have taken it positive.
14:37:18 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: One person who is in a great position to explain a little bit more about the reception that this story line has got is Anita. So Anita Burgess, for those who were not here at the beginning of the conversation, Anita. Hello, Anita. Good evening. Nice to see you.
14:37:21 >> Anita Burgess: Hello. Nice to see you, too.
14:37:35 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: Anita is the executive producer of the show. You must be absolutely fantastic the repping you have had, I would love to hear from your perspective.
14:38:11 >> Anita Burgess: It has been amazing actually. I'm known as someone who cries a lot and the reception has made me cry a lot even for me. It has been overwhelming. I think as Patrick was saying largely positive. I mean almost entirely positive, the 1% have their other views and that is there and that has to be acknowledged, but I found, I think as what was said, the most moving ones are the positive ones.
14:38:39 People feel for the first time there is something on screen that they recognize themselves in and it helps them and the complements about how the story has been handled and us not talking down to people, that sense of what we're trying to do is empower and educate and get the word out there to help people who are already in this position.
14:38:53 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: How would you not talk down to people? What are things that you can do so it does not come across as patronizing? What are things in your head as a producer to say don't do this?
14:39:30 >> Anita Burgess: We are mindful of the audience and the age they are, so you explain things and make it clear to not -- what you're trying to do is use language that they would understand, but not treat them kind of too young. I think the simplicity of the story comes from truth. It comes from Shaun's experiences.
14:39:44 Making sure the research is as thorough as possible, so we are representing the truth as much as we can, I think it is about that, so don't talk down is just be honest and clear as best we can.
14:40:10 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: That is brilliant. I think it is time we put you to the sharks and answer some questions, really. There are quite a few of them. I'm going to try to do something if I press a button, they might come up on the screen. I'm going to apologize in advance if I get that wrong and someone will tell me if I'm doing this wrong.
14:40:42 So Dillon's storyline has been gripping, someone says. Beautifully written and amazingly active. Lots of compliments. This is best directed to you, Cheryl, of CBC producing a series with younger audiences where being LBGTQ plus being the center of the show? Can you, not target, but get this message to a younger audience?
14:41:13 >> Cheryl Taylor: Thank you for the question. As I was saying earlier, obviously CBC is the preschool channel and we have 6-12, to some degree we're limited to the type of lens we can put on sexuality, obviously, and as I mentioned earlier, a lot around your identity is something that we can explore. It has to be done in a certain way, because we have quite a wide age group.
14:41:47 I think the way this story is played out from 9-12 and above has been perfect, so depending on how someone wrote a story and type of character that they highlighted, I think anything is possible. Our central messages are about tolerance and inclusion and that people should feel OK about being themselves and I think you can get those messages across in many, many different ways, as to say for preschool age.
14:41:54 It would depend on the type of character and how they were portrayed, but essentially, yes, absolutely.
14:41:59 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: Since you're talking, you can answer the next question.
14:42:00 >> Cheryl Taylor: Go.
14:42:22 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: Shaun might have an opinion as well. How long did it take to develop the idea and were you nervous about it? The person here, he says he produced when Andrew Hayden Smith came out and people were nervous that people like parents would complain. Were you aware of that or, no, we're doing the right thing?
14:42:51 >> Cheryl Taylor: I wasn't nervous, actually, that is partly to do with the team. Again as I mentioned this there are a lot of tricky storylines in Jamie Johnson and our other dramas. Anita, Shaun, everyone is very, very experienced and I knew they would handle it really well and similarly, the commissioning editor, Amy and her team would have explained the storylines with Anita.
14:43:25 That is one part of it and going back to Patrick, Patrick is such a key, key character in Jamie Johnson and he has taken on so many different things, so right from the beginning. I remember Anita telling me Patrick embraced the idea because he felt it was so important. Genuinely, we knew the team, there might have been a few more question marks, but with this team we did not have any anxiety.
14:44:06 Anita and Amy in presentation and talked to the press and introducing it and Patrick introduced it and pushing to news rounds and also on social media kind of making sure there were links there to child life or the other kids that might be watching who were worried and going through new experiences. Across the piece, everyone was so empathetic that it might be a troublesome story line, and they did brilliant work to make sure it was embedded in the right way.
14:44:23 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: Brilliant. Shaun, this one is for you. This person is called anonymous attendee, who I don't think is their real name, how important is it for LBGTQ stories to have a happy ending?
14:44:46 >> Shaun Duggan: Incredibly important, as far as I'm concerned. In the past, we have seen so many examples, you know, where there is a tragic ending and to be honest because that is reflected reality, because it has been in the past incredibly hard to be gay in this country. It was only in the 1960's, it was legal to be gay.
14:45:11 In the 80'S, we had the AIDS epidemic and you couldn't discuss being gay in school, so it is only in the past 20 or so years, we have been on this incredible journey and we are in a position now where we can tell these positive stories that reflect real people's lives.
14:45:31 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: I think when you grow up a gay teenager there is a lot of feeling that you won't have all of the things that people laid out for other people. I grew up thinking I'm not going to get married and not have kids and I'm going to be unhappy. Having hope.
14:46:11 >> Shaun Duggan: For me being able to tell it, I talked about being bullied at school. I was 21 before I came out. That ad less scents that most people have, I didn't have. It was stolen from me. It gives me so much hope that young people have the confidence to talk sexuality and build on those.
14:46:45 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: I'm being asked by Christopher, how have your peers responded to you playing this role? Obviously, Laquarn, you mentioned discrimination in industry. Have actors been supportive in what you have done? Lincoln people around me like my friends and family and people who watch have really supported me and and there is nothing far from like myself. Elliot is just like myself.
14:47:19 >> Laquarn Lewis: I -- so my friends have always been supportive, but I chose to wait until I left secondary school to tell them what my sexuality was, because I knew in secondary schools, if you are different in any way shape or form whether that is sexuality, disability, you will be brutalized and it is a horrible thing. I already knew I was going to wait until then. I was worried about my friends and what they would think as well.
14:47:46 When I told them, I have never seen such amazing support of people and doing this right now in the show, they have picked me up so much. They said the bravery it takes to be able to be open about your sexuality and then do this and silt just amazing and I thank everyone around me really.
14:47:51 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: Patrick, anything to add or is that an impossible act to follow?
14:48:22 >> Patrick Ward: That is summed up perfectly. A different thing for me, this story line, but everybody around me has been very supportive. There are people I know, to be fair, from school or who you see out who haven't -- made comments, but as a reality, for me, you have conversations about this and able to express and I think it has been already.
14:48:43 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: Someone sells asking, when you're doing a story line like this, are you given any help or claiming in terms or warnings about how to deal with the response afterwards on social media? It is hard to know what things are going to be like, right?
14:49:12 >> Laquarn Lewis: Yeah, we have had Zoom sessions with Anita and Shaun and BBC, everyone involved in making Jamie Johnson and particularly, this storyline, they have given us guidelines and a draft response to people who are giving us hate and BBC says we don't respond to this. We have been helped really well.
14:49:50 >> Patrick Ward: I think that is spot on that it has been interesting that I have been doing this for quite a while and I remember being 12 and in a room and talking about social media before I had ever been on TV and people saying, this is -- you're going to have this kind of response and this kind of thing and I remember being mind blown. It now a part of reality on how to respond with these things. I have a strict code of conduct with my social media and mostly what we have had ha fantast
14:50:26 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: There is one question that has been asked more than anything else, so we're going to save it to the end. We're going to go to a tough one and Shaun and Anita, you are probably best place to ask this. Someone said a line that jumped out to me, I think this is in the scene with Dillon and his dad, you are gay or you're not. Should we be telling people that identities aren't binary?
14:50:52 >> Shaun Duggan: I think with that line, you're writing truthfully from Dillon's dad's perspective. He hasn't got this great understand on of the subject and it is the kind of thing that he might say and not everyone is 100% gay. A lot of people are, a lot of people aren't, a lot of people in the middle.
14:51:32 Dillon is actually trying to tell his dad the truth and his dad is making it as difficult as possible for him, so I think I would rather focus on the positive message and the scenes that we have between Dillon and Elliot, where there was so much positive materials spoken about rather than focusing on Dillon's dad, who at this stage is homophobic and ignorant and a bigot, really.
14:52:05 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: This question is from a teacher and she says if she teaches things about homophobia or transgender issues, she gets parents saying she is trying to make them that way and we hear this quite a lot, right? If you tell people about transgender people, you're going to make them transgender. She is asking, have you had any of that or generally people been a lot lovier?
14:52:38 >> Shaun Duggan: If I could just say from my perspective on that, again, talking about what I was saying earlier, from being born to 12-13, I did not see any gay representation on TV I did not know what gay people were. I still became gay. If you go on that lodge you can, I should be an heterosexual, because I should have been inspired by boys and girls, but I wasn't. I still became gay.
14:52:54 You have to be careful when you have the debates, don't you of just having an open mind. At the end of the day, you know instinctively what you are from an a young age.
14:53:23 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: Begs the question, if I watch enough "Game of Thrones" will by a weird person and run around with a spear in my hand?  Not sure how that works. This question is for Cheryl from Miriam. She says in children's media, it can be hard to get certain things to air. With this story line, you had to tweak it or limit it in order for it to get to that stage or were you allowed to be fairly free with it?
14:53:57 >> Cheryl Taylor: Thanks for your question, Miriam. I think that goes back to the one we answered earlier, which was, I think the teams, s Anita and Amy and Shaun were looking at getting the story across in an age appropriate way. We is 6-12, so we need to make sure it is age appropriate.
14:54:38 Generally, there are some things I get exercised about, along with Katherine McAllister and I think pat and Laquarn was mentioning and we talked to her if we worried about a story line. Because this one, series five, coming from Shaun's personal experience and a specialty team, I didn't have any concerns about that.
14:55:12 >> Anita Burgess: Can I jump in as well, because I think it is important that people can understand how the producer coming to the BBC with this story, it wasn't something that we thought oh, we're not going to be able to do that. We knew the team would be very willing to talk to us and they did and we had a very in-depth discussion all the way along the line, they were incrediblably supportive of making sure this is age appropriate and the clarity was there, but the truth was there.
14:55:31 I think all credit it to the BBC if there is a perception that there is something you can't do there, that is not the case. There is always a conversation to be had there and they have been enormously supported right from the start.
14:55:50 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: Hugo, young footballers coming through as teenagers, do they get a good education in being open minded? I can't remember how much they are in school and how much they are not at school. How do young sports people get taught how to be open minder?
14:56:17 >> Hugo Scheckter: I don't think we teach them to be open minded, I think we teach them a variety of life skills that leads them to being open minds, which was the idea. They are meeting people that they would not have met through their normal lives and I think that is a positive experience, but we also make sure everything we are doing that is appropriate and talk about the social media guidelines that the actors go through.
14:56:43 We go through the same thing, not only in the things they put out, but what they receive and we have had a number of issues with various comments getting to our players and having to deal with that. I think you can't maybe teach -- you can teach open mindness, but that is not our goal. Our goal is to make well-rounded people who are also excellent footballers.
14:57:06 We haven't seen issues in the any of the clubs I worked with where players are not accepting each other or having problems with each other it. Tends to be they competed on a position, where two goalkeepers competing for one position, but not the personality of the major clashes that happens at younger ages.
14:57:25 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: I reckon apart from the one person who is asking if they can play football with Patrick, we have time for two more questions. Laquarn, Patrick, what have you learned from filming these scenes?
14:57:49 >> Patrick Ward: I think a lot. These are the scenes I was looking forward to the most. When you get the scripts, especially the ones, obviously we rehearsed a lot, but I learned a lot as an actor and I am not able to prescription it very well because it is an organic process and try to embed yourself into it.
14:58:01 I like to think of it being modern and I think you learn a lot from this kind of thing, especially as a new actor.
14:58:04 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: Laquarn, over to you.
14:58:40 >> Laquarn Lewis: I think it is -- it shows a way of how somebody can cope with coming out and how they deal with telling people and stuff and what I have learned from filming this and getting out there to people is, it doesn't have to be someone on the screen. You can be the person in real life to support your friend. All it takes you to ask them if they are OK and they might all of a sudden tell you that or anything.
14:58:55 If you just support people around you then you know it is something to help them that little bit more to be themselves.
14:59:11 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: So the last question of the night, the question that everyone is asking in this Q&A and we have to ask wow getting in trouble, is Elliot coming back? Who is answering that question?
14:59:28 >> Anita Burgess: I guess that is me, isn't it? We're hopeful. Things are in the process at the moment. Things aren't completely finished yet, but we're hopeful to find a way of continuing it somehow.
14:59:33 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: Laquarn, you're in luck. It is a night to celebrate.
14:59:35 >> Anita Burgess: He might not want to.
14:59:37 >> Laquarn Lewis: I would. I would.
15:00:14 >> Alex Kay-Jelski: There you go. It is a job acceptance live on air. Thank you so much all of you for your time, your questions, your excellent answers. I have enjoyed it and I hope you have as well. There are a lot of people struggling out there, as well, if you know them, I recommend the charities, it takes so much work to help people in relation to storylines like this, absolutely massive.
