I've got some Good Omens-themed outfit plans this week! This Thursday I'm giving a talk at an event organized by the Tolkien Society I'm part of, about Tolkien's High Elven society from a feminist perspective, and this necessarily includes mentions on how Tolkien's Catholic mindset influenced his idea of how a utopian society should be for men and women, and also a mention of the 'original Sin' in his legendarium...So that's where Anthony social-criticism J. Crowley can enter the chat and join my Tolkienite feminist endeavours xDD 😈🍎
I always like to cosplay-bound for fandom events, but instead of something solely Tolkien (my initial plan was a casual Elven-bound outfit), I naturally wanted to get a 'feminist Crowley' -inspired outfit together for this 😎♀️ xD (Crowley's aesthetic is always everything, but it's also an inside joke to keep ruffling the feathers of potential conservatives - we unfortunately do get them in this circle as well :S).
So this is what it's looking like for now, it's comfy and hopefully with enough Crowleycore elements that a Good Omens fan could notice 🍎 xD One Evenstar among all the snake jewelry, tho, to have sth Tolkien there too xDD
The vest is from my 2000s Crowley cosplay, and the turtleneck sparkly purple sweater and snakeskin patterned faux-leather skirt I got yesterday at a local shop, because lo and behold, a very similar look to the one that I was planning suddenly popped up in a mannequin and Crowley must have put it there or something because I mean xDD
