Embracing a Non-Stop Work Ethic
In the heart of every successful artist’s studio lies a powerful tool often overlooked: a non-stop work ethic. This relentless drive is not just a trait but a foundational pillar for any creative individual aiming to make a significant impact in the art world. For artists, the studio is a sacred space where ideas take shape and visions come to life. But what fuels these transformative processes…

I guess if there's any life lesson that can be learnt from the ramblings and writings of a seventeen year old that learnt some valuable lessons the hard way, far later in his life than would've been preferable, it's that contrary to popular opinion, even if you don't like how something turns out you can still have a blast making it, and sometimes that's all that matters.
If you wanna write that novel: go write that novel. If you want to compose a track, go do it. If you want to try your hand at painting or drawing or any medium of self expression for the simple reason that you have this incessant urge to create something, then don't be scared, just do it.
It probably won't be a masterpiece on your first forray into it, or it might actually be just that. It doesn't matter, and neither does it matter what other people think, because first and foremost you do your art for yourself, and no matter how good or bad it is, as long as your having fun, you didn't waste your time.
And if it turns out you honestly can't do what you set out to do, then what harm was there in giving it the good old college try in the first place?
For example, I wrote up a proposed (and ultimately unused due to budget reasons) screenplay a little while ago for a movie our school is planning to shoot. Although I will admit that I kinda hate the finished story and truthfully say that it's not my best work -and honestly it's just solid proof of why I should rather stick to short stories, novels and poems- I will never say that I wasted the two weeks I spent writing it, because from the word go I was having a blast, and although the story itself sucks, there were bits in it that I'm still proud of myself for pulling off.

Did you know? Or did you forget? You can do whatever you want with your art. Put random scribbles wherever. Horizontal lines over your character. Add dots everywhere and on everything. Draw eyes different than the rest of the face. Change art styles halfway through. Cut and glue paper cutouts. Use paints and markers together. Use all the filters. Use photos on top to add texture.
You can do what you want. Like literally literally literally.
Add a rubber ducky in the corner for no reason, put text in different languages on the background, leave your handprints or wipe your fingers on the paper.
Go have fun now this stuff isn't meant to be stressful for you
