I just played a video game called Vale: Shadow of the Crown. It has a blind protagonist and is 100% navigated by audio. You need headphones to play it. I was intrigued by the premise, but worried that it would be a gimmick that wouldn’t actually hold up well.

Turns out it worked just fine and I found myself really sucked in! I even turned off all the lights and played much of the game with my eyes closed. Though there were a few difficult sections (for me, using the bow was hard), it was mostly pretty intuitive. Honestly, the biggest problem was getting sleepy after a while, because as far as my body is concerned, if I spend that much time with my eyes closed, it’s bed time.

Anyway, it was a neat story with good voice acting and I actually really enjoyed the combat sections. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a novel gaming experience, as well as to anyone who has impaired vision.

“Grandmother is visiting,” Damian suddenly said with no warning and with his usual not-quite demanding tone.

“Who?” Tim wasn’t the only one to startle, seeing as Bruce had practically froze, a downturn to his lips in a silent show of confusion.

Damian scowled. “Are you deaf Drake? Grandmother is coming to Gotham to, quote, make sure I am being properly cared for.” None of them had known that Ras was with anyone actually. At least Tim was pretty sure that would have been in the files.

“Oh?” Dick didn’t quite crouch to Damian’s height but it was a near thing. “She-” “He,” Damian corrected, interrupting him. They all exchanged a glance before Dick continued.

“Is he coming to the Manor or…”

Damian scoffed again, a tiny bit of a flush against his face. “No, Grandmother will most likely be staying with Akhi-”

I enjoy call-backs and set-ups immensely.#What other creatures does LSZ have in his sleeve pockets? What other endangered beasts have been accidently translocated?#Will the turtle ever make an appearance again? So many questions. Which I will now answer:#1) At least one rabbit and a few songbirds have made a permanent home in there.#2) I like to think all the cultivators leaving baoshan sanren's mountain are accidently translocated endangered creatures.#3) Yes. The tulu xuanwu will be pivotal presence in the climax of the story. Dare I say - the hero of the darkest hour.

Welp, the Missouri House of Legislatures just voted to defund public libraries.

I’m honestly shocked and dismayed and heartbroken. Like, I knew things were bad, but I didn’t think it was this bad already.

I’m also quite frankly shocked at how small the state budget for libraries was in the first place ($4.5 million). I’ve visited so many quality libraries all across Missouri that do so much for their communities. When I was a social worker, the local library was always the first place I’d visit in the communities I worked in, because I knew they had good services to offer and could help me get connected to other local supports. Like, even from just a heartless financial standpoint, I can guarantee public libraries are worth the money.

I’m just really sad right now.

what i find so compelling about wyllstarion is how they are both two traumatised, broken people but they responded to their traumas in polar opposite ways !!!

nobody was there to save wyll and so he decided to be the one that saved people - he was going to make damn sure nobody would have to be put in the same position as him by taking on all the problems by himself. wyll saw the grief and pain that came from humanity more than he saw the happiness in it but that only made him grow to love & wish to preserve it more, it made life more precious.

nobody was there to save astarion, so he believed that self-preservation was all he had in the world. if nobody had his back for hundreds of years, then he certainly wouldn't have theirs either. he feels the world is only ever out to get him so why should he help it?

so therefore; they should kiss and live a nice life together with no more pain
