The Demon Gift: Choosing Hantengu, Part 3

Demon!Slave!Hantengu X Fem!Reader

Summary: You wake up after fainting and meet your new Demons.

You groaned as you started to gain your consciousness back. You felt pretty fatigued and a little sick like you were about to vomit, but you willed that feeling away. Your eyelids felt heavy and it took a moment before you could force them open and the first thing you saw was Hantengu looking over you, sobbing and crying…

But why did he look like he was so far away?

"H- Hantengu…?" You asked and you groaned, noticing that your throat was parched.

"H- Hiee! M- Mistress is awake…!" He squealed and you groaned as you pushed yourself upright while holding your head, in case it would start to throb in pain.

"What- What happened?" You wondered out loud and you saw movement in the corner of your eye and looked to see Hantengu. The only thing was that he was super small, like, maybe as big as a mouse!

You blinked, stunned as you stared at him and slowly your jaw dropped and you yelped, now completely awake, "S- Small! How are you so small!?"

"H- HIEE!" Hantengu flinched in fear and you flinched as someone shouted, "Silence! Can't you see you're scaring him?!"

Who was that?

You looked to the other side of the room and saw four men, Demons looking at you, and suddenly you remembered what had happened before you fainted. They were in your room and nearly naked and the shock had knocked you out… But now you were awake again and still shocked.

"W- WHO ARE YOU GUYS!?" You screamed in shock as you bolted up, but your legs got tangled on the blanket and you fell face-first to the ground.

"Ha ha ha, look how she fell!" Someone laughed, but you couldn't see who from your spot on the floor. Quickly, you untangled yourself and got on your knees to peek over the bed at the four Demons. You noted that they were all pretty handsome… Though, for some reason, one of them had huge wings behind his back and sharp bird or raptor-like feet and legs.

"W- Who the heck are you guys!?" You asked as you looked at them suspiciously and this one Demon with blue eyes frowned, "She's so afraid of us… It's heartbreaking…"

"W- Who are you?" You repeated the question, not really knowing what else to do in your position. This one Demon, one with green eyes smiled as he licked his lips gleefully.

"We are your slaves, Mistress!" He laughed and you blinked, stunned, and slowly, your jaw dropped again as you looked at them, "What!?"

"Quiet down and we shall explain everything!" A Demon with a furious scowl and matching red eyes shouted and you flinched, not liking sounds so loud and shouting even less. It briefly reminded you how your stepfather would shout at you.

The blue-eyed Demon seemed to notice your flinch and he looked at his companions, "Sekido, please control your voice. She appears genuinely scared of us and rightfully so. We did just appear here while she was gone."

"Tch!" The red-eyed Demon, Sekido scowled but held his tongue.

"Ha ha, Mistress sure looks like a frightened little bird!"

"So cute, right?" The Demons with green and yellow eyes both laughed in unison. You frowned a little but got up enough to properly look at them. You took a deep breath to calm yourself because so far, the Demons hadn't shown any signs of being a danger to you or Hantengu.

"Okay… Who are you guys and what are you doing in my and Hantengu's hotel room?"

"It's our room just as much!" Yellow-eyed Demon with wings and talons cackled, much to your confusion, "What?"

"What Urogi is saying, is that we are also Hantengu." Blue-eyed Demon said, but his reply only made you more confused, "Huh?"

"We are the manifestations of his emotions!" Green-eyed Demon laughed, "I'm Karaku and I represent Hantengu's Pleasure!"

"I'm Urogi and I'm Joy!" The yellow-eyed Demon cackled and the red-eyed scowled, "I am called Sekido and I'm his Anger."

"And my name is Aizetsu and I am the manifestation of Sorrow." The blue-eyed Demon said and you blinked, as you registered the information you were just given. You glanced at small Hantengu on the bed who was on his knees holding his head like he was scared of what you may do.

"Are they…" You blinked, "Are they really part of you?"

"Y- Yes…!" He nodded as he whimpered, "P- please, please don't be mad…!"

You could feel the clones, all four of them staring and observing at your every movement and action and you briefly wondered if they were expecting you to lash out toward Hantengu.

You couldn't say you weren't shocked, but damn, you weren't like your rotten family and would never beat the beaten. So you sighed as you reached for small Hantengu, who flinched when he saw you move your hand toward him, but instead of hurting him, you gently petted him.

"I'm not mad Hantengu," You said quietly, "I'm surprised, but I'm in no way mad at you."

"H- Hiee…!" He whimpered quietly, but to your shock and surprise, he was pressing his head against your fingers like you had seen cats or other animals like that do when they trusted someone or wanted to be petted more. You couldn't help but smile, feeling like you just passed a test of trust or something like that.

"Okay," You sighed as you got up and sat on the bed's edge before carefully picking up small Hantengu and placing him on your lap. The small Demon yelped, but as soon as he was on your lap he pressed his body harder against yours. You smiled a little and then looked at the 4 other Demons, "Okay, I'm calm now so can you tell me what the heck is going on?"

"We are here because of you and your actions," Sekido said and you blinked, stunned and wondering if you did something wrong but before you could ask, Karaku grinned, "You aren't a bully, unlike every other human who has been mean to Hantengu!"

"You fed him well, unlike those awful men back at the Slave Market…" Aizetsu said sadly, "Who gave him enough to heal but not enough to call us out…"

"Because of that, the original one," Sekido started and you all glanced at the small shivering Demon on your lap before the red-eyed Demon continued, "He got strong enough to let us out."

"Okay…" You nodded and you looked down at the original Demon in your lap, "What happened? Why did you let them out now? Did I do something wrong?"

"N- No…! Y- You have b- been so kind to me…!" Hantengu sobbed as he furiously wiped his teary eyes, "I- I just wanted to return it, your kindness…!"

You blinked as you registered his words and you felt your heart warm up as you smiled. You really had the sweetest little Demon there was, even if he was almost afraid of his own shadow.

"Thank you Hantengu." You thanked the little Demon with a sweet smile, "That is awfully sweet and I really love your kind gesture."

The little Demon nodded shakily as he pressed himself harder against your body and you couldn't help but pet him assuringly. He was honestly being way too cute for his own good. You looked up and saw that the 4 bigger Demons were yet again observing your actions.

"How long are you going to be out? Is there a time limit or something like that?" You asked, honestly curious since you had never heard of Demons splitting like your little Demon had done.

"We are out until Hantengu wishes otherwise." Sekido grunted, "But if he wishes otherwise, we will stay here to protect him, and you also."

"Me?" You blinked in confusion, "But… You don't even know me?"

"We are parts of Hantengu!" Karaku grinned, "We share everything, his fondness of you also!"

"You like me that much?" You asked as you looked down on your lap where little Hantengu was sitting. The small Demon was shivering as he nodded, "Y- Yes…! Y- You're so nice t- to me…!"

"Unlike every other human that we have faced, you are the most kindhearted one we have yet met…" Aizetsu nodded, "You have now really proven to us that you are a genuine and kind person through and through."

Suddenly all 4 Demons walked around the bed and stopped in front of you. You blinked, stunned and confused, not understanding what was happening, but before you could ask, they all got on one knee and hung their heads in respect.

"We promise to protect you."

"Promise to be there for you."

"To fight for you."

"And to love you."

"So, we pledge our loyalty to you, our Mistress!" They all shouted in perfect unison and you just… Stared at them, not knowing what to say or do.

Finally, the clones' words sunk in and you yelped in shock, "W- wait, I don't want any more slaves!"

"We know!" Urogi laughed.

"So forgive us…" Aizetsu sighed.

"But we want to serve you!" Karaku exclaimed.

"For you are the one for us…!" Sekido growled.

You sighed as you shut your eyes and raised your hand to squeeze the space between your eyes, feeling like you were starting to get a headache. This was all so much in such a short time and not just Hantengu and his clones, but your family drama also.

"I- I'm sorry, I'm so sorry…!" You heard Hantengu whimper on our lap and you took a deep breath and sighed out loud as you collected yourself and started to think about what to say or do next.

"It's okay Hantengu…" You muttered while thinking. After a second or two, you lowered your hand and looked at the clones who were still on their knees, heads still hanging low in respect.

"Okay, okay." You nodded, "I accept you guys so please raise your heads and get up."

"Thank you, Mistress!" They all said in unison again and got up. You took a deep breath as you wondered what would be your next move and then you noticed that they still had only towels wrapped around their waists. Maybe getting them dressed would be a good point to start from.

"Okay, first thing first, we need to get you guys some clothes." You nodded, "Then we gotta start looking for a place that is big enough for all 6 of us."

Suddenly you remembered your computer and glanced at the doorway where your laptop was, or more like what was left of it thanks to your shitty siblings. God, just thinking about them made you angry so you took a deep breath to calm yourself down and then you looked at the clones.

"Okay, change of plans, the first thing we have to do is to get me a new computer and then some clothes for you guys. You can't just wear towels around your waists for the rest of your life or mine."

"Even me?" Urogi laughed and you nearly screamed when he dropped the towel… But then you saw that he had a thick coat of brown feathers around his legs and waist, hiding everything private he might have possessed.

"Not funny!" You exclaimed, more embarrassed than angry and it made the Demon of Joy laugh out loud, "You should have seen your face!"

"I'm going to kick you," You warned him, but your empty threat made him only laugh more.

"If you don't mind me asking, what happened to your computer?" Aizetsu asked carefully, "It looks like it was destroyed on purpose?"

"One of the amazing perks of having shitty stepsiblings." You groaned and you moved to get up from the bed, but you heard a loud squeal and remembered that you still had a small Demon on your lap.

"Ah, I'm sorry Hantengu!" You quickly apologized as you gently picked him up and placed him on the soft bed before getting up and fetching what was left of your laptop. As long as the hard drive was still intact, you should have been able to transfer all your data from your destroyed computer to a new one.

"Okay, this is what we are going to do now." You started as you turned to look at the Demons, "I'm going out to get you something to wear and a new computer to myself so we can look for a new home more easily. The clothes I'm going to get for you are only temporary and once we can, we will all go shopping for new clothes together. How does this sound?"

"Good, Mistress!" Karaku grinned and you nodded, as you picked up your bag and you were about to head out but before you could leave, Aizetsu called after you, "Before you go, may we request something?"

"What is it?" You asked and Urogi made a show of rubbing his stomach, "Can you order us some meat?"

"We are starving!" Sekido exclaimed and you blinked before nodding, "Okay, yeah, I'll order some and then leave once the meat arrives, okay? I would like to get things done by today."

"Yes, Mistress!"

It took a moment, but finally, the meat arrived and as Hantengu and his clones started to eat, you headed outside to the closest shopping mall.

The first thing you did was to buy yourself a new laptop. As you were paying, you asked the nice salesmen if they could possibly plant your old hard drive to a new computer and they were happy to do so with a little extra payment.

So while they were fixing your computer for you, you made a quick call to a real estate agent and told them that you were looking for a house, one away from the city if just possible. Money wouldn't be a problem.

After that, you headed out to get some clothes for the 4 Demons and little Hantengu. You wondered a little what sizes would have fit them best, but as you recalled them all you could see were their muscly and strong bodies. You blushed and shook your head, trying not to think of how handsome they all were.

You decided to go with a safe option and get them some basic sweatpants and hoodies, only you picked red for Sekido, blue for Aizetsu, and green for Karaku. Finding something for Urogi was a little more challenging thanks to the huge wings on his back. You could have bought a hoodie for him also, but it should have been altered to fit his wings.

So imagine your joy when you found a halter crop top that would go around his neck and then over his chest to the back. It was in the women's section… But it shouldn't matter so you got the biggest size they had and you were pretty satisfied with the clothes you had gotten for your Demons.

Your Demons… Oh no…! You remembered that Demons were not allowed to walk by themselves without their owners in public and that they were required to wear collars…

It was so humiliating and degrading, you felt bad and you hated the idea of having to make Hantengu and his clones wear collars, but if you didn't do so they could be taken away from you and you didn't want that. You really wished that the real estate agent would find a place where they wouldn't have to wear collars 24/7.

So with a heavy heart, you went to the closest Demon Accessory store you could find and did some shopping… You picked 4 collars, all different colors much like the hoodies, and made your way to the register. Better just get it over with.

Once you had clothes and the wretched collars, time had passed nicely. You were pretty sure that your new computer was up and running like it should. You stopped to pick up your computer before heading back to the hotel. By the time you were there, it was already night almost.

"I'm back," You called as you stepped into the room and you were immediately greeted by the 4 bigger Demons, "Welcome back, Mistress!"

"I'm tired…!" You whined as you set the shopping bags down and collapsed on the huge bed face-first. You felt like you could sleep forever…

"W- Welcome back, M- Mistress…!" You heard Hantengu whine next to you and you turned your head enough to look at him and for some reason, seeing him made you feel a little better, "Hi there Hantengu."

The scared little Demon nodded and you heard Urogi calling from behind you, "Are these all for us?"

"Yeah, sorry if they aren't nice, I'll take you guys properly shopping when I just can." You grunted tiredly and you heard Aizetsu speak, "These are more than we need or deserve…"

"Are these collars?!" Sekido claimed and you were about to reply, but that was when your phone started ringing. You quickly pushed yourself upright and turned to fetch your phone from your bag by the entrance, only to have Karaku offer the device to you.

"Thank you," You thanked the Demon quickly as you grabbed your phone and answered with your name.

"Hello, you were looking for a house, weren't you? 5 rooms minimum and away from the city?" Came a man's voice and you nodded, "Yes, I was."

"Well, sorry for contacting you this late, but we believe we found your dream house!" The man said and you blinked in shock, "This fast?"

"Well, you're in luck, the sellers are looking for a fast deal and you did say in your resume that money wouldn't be a problem, right?"

"Yeah, no, I got money." You nodded and the man smiled on the other side of the phone, "Wonderful! When would you be able to come and see the house yourself? I trust that you want to see what you are getting before buying?"

"How quickly can I see it?"

"Is tomorrow alright with you?" The man asked and you smiled, "Sounds perfect in fact."

"Wonderful!" The real estate agent and you agreed to meet outside the city at 11am and after exchanging the information, you shut the phone and turned to see your Demons who were all looking at you.

"What was that about?" Sekido asked and you couldn't help the smile that rose to your lips, "I'm going to see a house for us tomorrow!"

"A house?"

"Yes, we can't live in this one-room hotel, right?" You asked back and the Demons glanced at each other before nodding.

"Can we come, can we come?" Urogi asked excitedly but you frowned, "I didn't ask… But I guess it couldn't hurt?"

"Great! Oh boy, I'm so excited!" Karaku laughed and you smiled a little, feeling a little hopeful yet nervous. Hopefully, the next day would turn out better than this one.
