Well then, that’s the end of the Thief Throwdown! Congratulations to the Team Rocket Trio for claiming the title of true Master Thief’s.
But, there’s still one thing that I just had to do before calling an end to the tournament.
There was one participant who didn’t make it into the finals despite stealing so many different things from all over the World, each one worth more than the last. Of course, all the other thieves from our tournament can’t let them get away with insulting their honor like that.
So, welcome to the bonus Round of the Thief Throwdown:
A Group consisting of every participant vs One Museum

Having hyperfixations for me is kinda like how people talk about falling in love and getting married.
When I get a brand-new hyperfixation, it’s fireworks and butterflies in the stomach and stars in my eyes whenever I see anything related to it and sweet shivers down my spine whenever I hear someone mention it. It’s late nights researching every tidbit I can find about it. It’s the first thing I think about when I wake up in the morning and the last thing I think about as I fall asleep at night. It makes me so indescribably happy and I can’t imagine my life without that thing.
But after a while, the fireworks fade and the butterflies go to sleep, and it’s not sparkly and new and exciting anymore. I don’t feel like I’m physically dying if I go an hour without thinking about it. It’s no longer the (only) thought that I fall asleep to at night. But instead, it becomes something old and familiar and deeply comforting. I can exist in the same space as it, just enjoying its presence, without needing to interact with it, just appreciating it and everything we’ve been though together: all the fics, all the fanart, all the hours of daydreaming.
It’s turned into a deeper love that I know will stay with me always. I know those characters, those stories, will always have a special, deep place in my soul, and even if it’s been years since I’ve thought about that particular hyperfixation, I still feel something soft and warm unfurl inside me when someone mentions it or I unexpectedly run across something that reminds me of it.
Hyperfixations never go away for me. They turn into companions whom I may no longer be head-over-heels infatuated with, but whom I love from the deep places of my heart and whom I know as well as I know myself.
I love every hyperfixation I’ve ever had, and I will love them always.

Gonff: Okay. Here is a tried and true method of defeating a tyrant. Have them imprison Martin. That's it. The rest will take care of itself.
Martin: Hey, I need a friend in there too.
Gonff: Yes. Give Martin a friend in there too.
