Sera Myu: Musical Festival -Chronicle- Review

You know when something just hits you deep in your core and you can’t help but be a sobbing mess on the floor? Yes, that was me.

When this musical was first announced, I really had no idea what to expect. I had predicted it would be like an Ai no Sanctuary 2.0, and then they said it would be mostly Kaguya-Hime songs, that turned out to be a big ass lie. WHICH I’m grateful for. Not that I don’t love those songs, but the musical was truly something beautiful and shiny and celebrates the history of Myu in its own beautiful way! The song list is mainly NelkeMyu songs (2013-2017, NogiMyu, The Super Live) with a tiny sprinkle of Bandai thrown in for flavor (though, they are newer versions as seen in NogiMyu and The Super Live). Speaking of new arrangements, nearly every song was re-arranged! Whether it be new instruments, new lyrics, or something along those lines, all except a very few songs were re-arranged for the musical and I love the new feel to songs! And the 2 new songs (Chronicle the Story of Sailor Moon and Eternal Cycle) are SO good. Eternal Cycle in particular made me start crying with how beautiful it was.

The cast REALLY showed off. I saw both the second-to-last and the senshuuraku performances. While the vocals are better in the earlier show, the emotions are much stronger in the final show. Riko-Moon in particular REALLY redeemed herself for me. I liked her last musical, but I REALLY loved her this time. She really put her all in this time, and I’m SO proud of her. Her vocals snatched me in the earlier showing, and her determination and power wowed me in the senshuuraku. I’m so grateful she got to play her again. ;w;

I have to address the elephant in the room. Kisara’s vocals. If you remember last year, she nearly had the best vocals out of all the inners. However, I could tell even in the first day’s livestream, she was lip-syncing. And this year, we found out why. Kisara really struggles at live singing. There were some times she sounded pretty okay (when she sings high in her head voice, she sounds really good most of the time), but her voice breaks when singing low. Which is kinda bad when you’re playing Sailor Jupiter... ^^; Some friends in the SoS Discord think she was sick. It’s a possibility. IDK how to feel Because I lowkey felt like she broke immersion a bit in some songs, but I really like her as Jupiter at the same time. I’m torn. ;-;

MVP award goes to miss Riona Tatemichi who has climbed ALL THE WAY to the TOP of my favorite Tux list. Yes, she beat out the previously untouchable Yu Shirota. She made an extremely gay man swoon. SHE DID THAT, SHE DESERVES THAT SPOT. xD

MVP AWARD ALSO GOES TO MISS CHISE NIITSU. HELLO? NEW FAVORITE CHIBI MOON. She really REALLY leveled up from her Chibi Chibi days. I actually wasn’t huge on her Chibi Chibi back in the day and vastly preferred Hinari. But she was SUCH a cute Chibiusa with a powerful, strong voice! I can’t help but love her!

I’m just generally in love with the current outers. Shinju-Uranus grew on me this musical. I think she pairs really well with Ayana and MISS AYANA?! NEW FAVE NEPTUNE AS WELL WTF AND MISS YUKA IDE? NEW FAVE SATURN. This Musical gave me a bunch of new faves. Chisato-Pluto also FINALLY got a chance to shine and QUEEN I LOVE YOU. (Still mad Nelke hasn’t given you a solo song or at least let you cover Chronos Guardian though ;O; )

If you want a story summary, check out @crazykacey‘s! I don’t understand Japanese, so I actually used his review and context of watching to understand the musical. All I can say is fantastic BandaiMyu vibes and a very fun musical! I’m pretty tired after this Musical season. I really went in on reporting (on Twitter and Discord LMAO) and doing some things (which will be revealed in the near future) so IDK how to end this review. Long story short, the musical is really worth your time and from the very beginning, you’re probably gonna cry. It’s a great time, and I hope you all get the chance to see it! ALSO PRE-ORDER THE DVD OR BLU-RAY. Thank you. XD

1. Selfish Love

this was my take on the ladrien knight/prince AU, and it’s at the top because I’m super proud of it. Basically Adrien puts himself in danger for his guard’s sake, and she is very much tired of him. But they love each other so its all good.

2. Just Because (I Love You)

some ladynoir! it’s just ladybug realizing her feelings for chat in a simple moment. it makes me smile when i reread it.

3. Totally Platonic

this one’s adrienette. marinette accidentally signs on for a Totally Platonic outing with adrien and is Totally Cool about it because its just a friends thing, not necessarily romantic, and— is that a candle? I wrote “platonic” so much in this one it didn’t look like a word anymore XD

4. His Voice

an AU featuring a selectively mute adrien who never went to public school.

5. No Need for Jealousy

some prpr. marinette’s obsessed with this new A-list actor Adonis Cambridge (though he’s more C-list, if you ask Adrien). she talks about Cambridge a lot, but its fine because adrien is Not jealous. really, he’s not. (spoiler alert: he totally is)

2. What kind of emotions do the stars evoke for you, if any? The ocean, the sky, the moon?

I have complicated feelings about the ocean, because I actively love actually being in water, but everything around it where you have to like... get used to the water, get out and get clean again, probably be on the beach with sand to get there, be in a bathing suit, all of that, I do not. So the ocean brings on strong feelings of want followed by feelings of ...but no. XD No, generally, though, the ocean is calming. Smelling it, seeing it, being near it. The one thing I do kind of miss about Florida is catching sight and scent of the water so often. And literally nothing else.

Stars/moon make me feel rooted, and kind of nostalgic. I worked with Artemis a lot when I was a pre-teen, and I miss that. The sky depends a lot on what the sky looks like. Stormy skies make me feel calm and tired. XD

50. What qualities do you find charming?

I feel like this one’s hard to answer? Charming is a weird word to define and I don’t know if I’d say charmed is a reaction I have often. XD The first thing to come to mind is -- people who are clearly super into what they’re doing and who wants to draw others in, but very respectful of boundaries? Like, someone at an outdoor music event or a drum circle who’s encouraging people to dance with them, but not pushing them if they get waved off. Or someone in full costume at an event playing off people in-character, but not dragging out the bit with people who don’t react.

Seeing people be really into a thing is always great, but when they don’t seem to have as much of a sense of when others don’t want to play along, it gets kind of nerve-wracking -- I just want to sit on the sidelines and watch you, I don’t want to risk being pulled in! But that enthusiasm and enjoyment paired with that display of social skills is a balance that really draws me in.

86. What could you talk about for hours?

So many things. Pretty much anything if I’m feeding off someone else’s interest in it. I can talk for so long about Tarot. Or about witchcraft, or Paganism/Wicca. Musical theater, hoo boy, for so long, or for most pieces of media I’ve been interested in. Fandom as a general topic. Queerness. Mental illness and mental health stuff, also physical illness and disability stuff. Tabletop RPGs, especially if you get me talking about weird indie stuff I know exists and want to try. Also just recommending stuff generally, really, get me reccing and I can just keep going. Personality taxonomy systems. Organizational systems. Like, I talk too much, up until I realize I’m talking too much and abruptly get quiet, so if you got me talking about something I was invested enough in to override the “oops I’m talking a lot”... there are many things. XD

30. If you don't have tattoos, and had to get one, what would you get tattooed on you? Is getting tattooed a big deal to you? If you are tattooed, do you regret any?

I have made multiple lists of things I would get tattooed on me! Mostly quotes/lyrics. I’m not so much a visual person as a words person, so the things that are that important to me are mostly quotes, though I would consider something media-derived for properties that were either majorly lifechanging for me or that I’ve loved for long enough. If I had to get one right this second... don’t be proud, be well is a strong contender. So is tomorrow is coming, & tomorrow needs sponges (as a short form of the full quote, which finishes with: & god, what a fucking miracle it is, the way that we go on). devour the monsters and you can call any place home.

I would probably have tattoos, but I am scared of needles and a baby about pain. XD Also, perpetually broke, but mostly the needles.

56. What (or who) do you daydream about?

Most of the time it’s either stories I want to be writing, or playing out things I’ve watched/listened to in my head. I tend to daydream less about things actually happening to me; if I zone out thinking about non-fiction, I’m probably composing an argument in my head to feel better about something I’m not going to respond to. XD

64. Do you feel like you know yourself very well?

Hahahaha no. Self-identity is a really muddled, confusing thing, and I find it really hard to say much about who I really am at the core. Without getting too deep or too serious, it’s just something I find to be a mess. This is part of why I like labels, personality taxonomy, and finding out how other people think of me. They feel like something to hold onto when the rest of it feels unsure.

At first he wondered why you would handle or touch him likes he's a fragile doll but he grew to love how gentle you were

Subconsciously he'd lean his head down whenever he completed a task expecting a head pat

Even if you weren't there but if he's caught he'll just pretend he was tired

Lucifer wasn't always the most affectionate, especially as he rarely shows how much he genuinely loves the people around them

He decided to return the gesture, you recently got a high grade in a class you were struggling in

He patted your head, giving it a light ruffle

"You did good, you're improving alot - it's very promising."

Didn't expect you to start crying, aggressively shoving away your tears

No one has ever made him feel this mooshy and love sick and he's ANCIENT

He's use to his brothers always insulting him - he likes a good tease and making a rude remark about each other but they tend to push it

They hit his Insecurities and think he can handle it because they're demons

But he wasn't always

Then you came along, giving him head pats and words of praise

Always standing up for him

He fell for you so quickly and so hard

He basically turns into a puppy when he's with you

When you left with Satan to get groceries he had to be forced to not go with you, waiting at the stairs for you to come back

As soon as Satan left with even your bags included, he came bolting for you

Leaping into your arms and squeezed you tight, insisting he didn't miss you but just got bored

The way he's nuzzling your cheek says otherwise

When you began crying he immediately panicked

"Did Satan do something to ya?! I swear I'll beat-"

"I'm just not use to others being as affectionate as I am back to me - it's okay."

"Huh?! Well I guess the greatest demon of all time has to be that person, that's me! Don't forget it, okay?! I'm going to smother you."

Mammon is already a touchy person but knows to be respectful, since that day his hands are always on you

Either holding your hand, touching your shoulder, petting your hair or just Hugging you

Levithan:

Levithan isn't one to give or receive when it comes to affection

He tends to get overwhelmed by just a head pat and gets embarassed if his fingers accidentally brush against yours

You're an overly affectionate person

He's a simple man who needs self worth

It's definitely a good duo

You've learned to be more vocal about your praises and affections, still testing the waters with physical touch

But from time to time he'll ask to get a head pat if he's really proud of himself

Levithan is determined to make sure you never see them but it's too late and you cried with joy in your room

Next time you saw him you kissed his cheek and he immediately melted

Did kiss your cheek back though but did it so quick and harsh that you stumbled backwards

Satan:

Someone being gentle to him????

Someone who doesn't keep away from his because of his sin????

Who??? What??!!

You're the who! he was SHOCKED you were so happy to get close to him and just treat him so kindly

He made a theory on the Devildom detectives group that you're actually an angel but it backfired by demons just telling him he's got feelings for you

He does but he didn't expect to get called out on a whole forum

"You're really smart, thanks for always helping me with my studies - I've found It alot easier to study and remember all my notes now, you're a good teacher!"

He's so smitten with you

You could be saying the most disgusting or insulting thing and he'd still smile and nod

He needed help getting food for this secret but really not so secret pet cat and you gladly accepted to help him

When you two were just spending time together in his room and when suddenly picked up his cat

You didn't think too much of it but grinned when he booped the cats nose onto yours

"thank you for being so kind to me- it means alot."

the cat was like you; overly affectionate so it didn't surprise you when it started gently pawing at your face and giving you little kisses

It would be for the best as you started crying, taking the cat from his hold and kissing it's head repeatedly

Internally, he was freaking out about how you liked him at what he deemed - his most unattractive state

So it only made sense he became more touchy and grew closer to you

He was holding your hips, smiling as you both looked in the mirror

He wrapped his arms around you, leaning on your shoulder

You tried to hide your tears but he could see them, immediately asking you what's wrong

"Nothing- I just- that means alot coming from you and you're always being so affection towards me....its really nice."

"I'm just snack-ish, I can't eat a meal right now."

You knew how hungry he could get and didn't want to leave him peckish

You knew that small feeling could easily turn into something bigger

But he just nudged it closer to you

"You eat what you want, I'll have what you don't finish."

You finally agreed, knowing he was insisting on you to eat with him

He patted your head, smiling as he watched you eat

"are you sure you won't still feel hungry?"

"you make me feel full, it soothes another type of hunger in me, it's nice."

He grabbed your hand, nuzzling his cheek against it, he couldn't stop smiling as you just looked at him in surprise

You finally grinned, tearing up and shook your head, you leaned against him and continued eating

Gripping his hand tighter as you pushed back your tears

Beel was always looking after him, helping him get ready for school and drying his hair, carrying him around when he was too tired to walk

And you were only fueling his spoilt nature

He wrapped his arms around you, shifting his position and buried his face into your chest, humming as your hands ran through his hair

He gave you a small squeeze

"It feels good to be the one hugging you, you're always so comfy~"

He began murmuring how much he loves this time with you, drifting to sleep as he praised you, letting himself mindlessly go on about how wonderful and sweet you are until he started to snore

You let your tears fall

Holding him closer as you softly thanked him for his words

He just hugged you tighter in his sleep, his smile growing

Diavolo:

This man is TOUCH STARVED

the fact you're unafraid to be with him and around him is already amazing but you freely hold his hand and pat his head

He thinks he's knocked his head and been taken to the celestial realm

People are intimidated by his title as prince and having you so care free in his company is new for him

So of course he enjoys how affectionate you are!

He embraces all your touches and praise!

He's even had you sitting on his lap during meetings, letting you hug him after a tiring day of studying

"You did great today, I really felt your passion for this new project, I think the students will really enjoy it!"

He gets so happy everytime you even look his way

Your smile alone fuels him for the whole day

"Meet me in the castle today, there's something I need you to do for me."

You agreed, not thinking much of it; most likely a new update on the school fair

What you didn't expect was to be greeted by shopping bags and gift boxes and even a human sized teddy bear with demon horns, you tried to ignore them as Diavolo came jogging down the steps

"What did you need me for?"

"I want you to see what you like, I bought as much as I could before Barbatos stopped me, I hope they're up to your liking."

You were speechless

You felt as if you touched the gifts you wouldn't be able to hold back; you were excited to see what he got but you didn't want to seem too excited

"Please, go ahead - it's all yours unless something is not up to your liking."

You finally went through the shopping bags; there was clothes, products, jewelry, shoes and all other sorts of items

You hugged the giant close to your chest, choking back on your tears

"thank you-"

"No need to thank me, you're always so kind to me I just wanted to return the favour."

Barbatos:

You were a like a breath of fresh air, someone he could just go to

He can unwind and be rewarded for his efforts and others normally don't notice

Whilst his lord was always praising him, it felt different with you

It felt so joyful

You would brush through his hair, always thank him even if he's just doing his job and always seem to be in awe at what he does

He'll never forget the gloves you gave him, sleek and a perfect fit with a cursive 'B' stitched to the edge - they were enchanted to warm up whenever he got cold

"Wow! You prepared all this?! That must of taken you ages! You're really amazing, Barb."

"I'm simply doing my job but your praise makes it all worth it."

Often invites you to the castle for tea

He'll make any excuse to have you come see him; the prince wants to talk, he wants a hand with a recipe, he needs an outsider's opinion on something

Whatever he can come up with; he will use it

You might as well just stay in one of the guest bedrooms because you're always coming to the castle

Speaking of excuses; today Barbatos decided to thank your lovely behaviour

Convincing you to come to the castle and meet him in the dining hall

"I saw you eyeing some recipes whilst helping me in the kitchen so, I made you them AND wrote down how I did it exactly so you can make them any time you like."

"I- you didn't have to do that! Thank you for this, they look delicious."

"I always wanted to give you this."

You couldn't even ask what it was

He already held it up for you to see

It was a box of gloves with your the first letter of your name stitched onto the edge

They were heat up gloves!

"I thought you'd appreciate your own as they'll always be handy but the gesture of matching with someone you're close to is very appealing."

He helped you put the gloves on, pinching the tip of your fingers to make sure they fitted properly

He held your hand, admiring how it looked in his

You couldn't stop a few tears forming, smiling

You felt abit silly crying over heat up gloves but you couldn't help it

"I want to match with you more often, perhaps one day it'll end up being a ring."

I hate @fireflyxrebel-writes and @lavender-scent for engraving the Raven idea in my head. It's literally stuck in my head and I won't be able to do anything until I let it out now. XD

Also this is a BBRae blog, so yeah, this very short... paragraph-lengh-fic turned out more BBRae-ish than expected ^^'

Disclaimer: I am still a writer-in-making and this isn't exactly angst because my heart is still a baby. Also I'm really cowardly so this is just my idea and is not some inter-galactic war kinda thingy lol ALSO, I LITERALLY WROTE THIS WHILE STUDYING GEOGRAPHY SO SORRY BECAUSE IT SUCKS

“And now, for the final event of the night! The act you’ve all been waiting for! With bated breath, we present to you, the one night special event, a mesmerizing performance, by the one and only.. ‘The Flying Gra-”’

‘Rae...? You there?’

Raven clutched her chest, feeling breathless. Her eyes opened wide; fear, anxiety, guilt and sadness drowning her whole body.

‘..Ra-Raven?’ Beast Boy spared her a concerned glance, before closing the door and entering their room. ‘A-Are you okay?’ He stood beside her with a perturbed frown.

‘Y-yeah… j-just give me.. a minute.’ Raven touched his forearm for support, trying to catch her breath and focus on the man standing in front of her. Even his emotions were anxious and troubled, but they were better than the ones attacking her.

‘What is up with Dick?’ The empath asked once she regained her composure. ‘He seemed fine the whole day, what’s happening to him now?’

Beast Boy’s face softened. ‘Today’s the d-death anniversary of Dick’s parents, remember?’ He reminded her. ‘He’d been busy the whole day.. But I guess it’s hitting him at night when he’s finally getting time to breath..’

‘..Oh,’ Raven sighed, feeling kind of guilty for letting it slip her mind. ‘Is he okay?’

‘Yeah.. Kor’s taking care of him.’ He replied, touching her cheek gently. ‘But the real question is… are you okay? ..You’ve been a bit glum ever since we went to Steel City for Vic’s mom’s death anniversary… Are all the emotions troubling you too much? If there’s something I can-’

‘I’m fine, Gar..’ Raven flashed him a small smile. ‘His emotions just caught me off-guard for a second there.. Otherwise I’m okay.’

‘Great!’ The shape-shifter sighed and leaned down to kiss her cheek. She sighed in content, feeling the warmth envelope her.

‘Anyway,’ Gar began. ‘There's actually something I wanted to show you!’

He took out a box from seemingly out of nowhere and showed it to her. It was a small, red-colored velvet box, which fit in his palm. He opened the box, and inside-

A long silence followed, and Raven wondered if she'd asked something she shouldn't have.

‘I… I used to, yeah.’ Beast Boy said after a momentarily pause. ‘...But now I don’t.’

‘Why?’ Raven asked before she could run it in her mind. ‘I-I mean… wouldn’t life have been better?’ She supported herself on her arms on the bed.

Gar had an “Are we really doing this? Now?” expression on his face, but he answered nonetheless. ‘Well… life would’ve been.. Way different, for sure. But why are you asking this all of a sudden? ...Is it because I showed you the rings?’

‘..No.. no particular reason, really..’ The empath meekly replied. ‘A thought just came to my mind.. That..’ She stopped, debating whether to say it or not.

‘What if I’d stopped Trigon… before.. he could’ve come to Azarath?’

Beast Boy was starting to get a bit frustrated now; He was tired and he needed some sleep, and he definitely didn't want to talk about something which may include his girlfriend being wiped out of existence.

‘We definitely shouldn’t have watched Avengers: Endgame last weekend.’ Gar muttered into the pillow before facing her. ‘Rae… what are you even talking about?’

‘I mean.. Think about it?!’ Raven said seriously, and Gar could literally feel some plan being cooked in that big brain of hers. ‘Many people’s lives would’ve been saved and there wouldn’t be any portal and-’

‘RAVEN! I’m going to be really selfish right now but, what about US?’ Gar exclaimed. ‘What about Dick and Kory.. and Vic!? What do you think all of us are going to do without you? What-what about… me?’

‘You guys are gonna be okay without me..’ Raven sighed, unconsciously touching her gem. ‘And you d-’

‘Please don’t say that I deserve better than you,’ Beast Boy pleaded, taking her hands in his. ‘I’m already not sure if I deserve you at all, Rae.’

‘Gar…’ Raven gently touched his cheek.

‘Please.. Let’s just go to sleep, Rae. You’re probably drunk because of lack of sleep or something..’ Gar sighed.

Raven looked like she was about to protest, but smiled instead. ‘I love you, Gar.’ She kissed him.

‘I love you too..’ He smiled, before nodding off to sleep.

The Titans were sitting on the dining table, ready for breakfast when Gar entered the common room.

It was 8 am, and Gar had taken to waking up early after he’d started dating the empath, so the three Titans greeted him cheerfully.

‘Morning guys..’ He said, taking a seat beside Dick on the table. ‘Where’s Raven?’ He asked, taking a look around the room.

‘She went for a jog early in the morning…’ Vic, who was making pancakes replied. ‘She said she needed some fresh air.’

‘Ah.’ Gar hummed a reply and reached out for a glass of water.

‘Was it just me, or was Raven acting a bit weird?’ Dick asked.

‘You’re right man.’ Vic set a plate of pancakes on the table. ‘She seemed pretty peculiar to me.’

‘Oh, that reminds me!’ Kory exclaimed, fishing for something through her pockets. ‘Friend Raven asked me to give this to you Garfield.’ She handed him a small envelope.

‘What’s weird about Raven?’ Gar asked through mouthfuls of pancake, also trying to open the envelope while munching on his breakfast.

‘Well.. she went to each of us saying that she valued us a lot.’ Dick said, suspiciously. ‘Do you think one of her emoticlones escaped from Nevermore?’

‘..Not that I know of.. I don’t think so..’ Gar replied, his eyes still focused on the envelope.

‘Then what could’ve happened to make her say such things?’ Vic mused aloud. ‘I mean.. I know she loves us, but she doesn’t go around sayin’ that stuff.’

‘Maybe friend Garfield knows something?’ Kory suggested. ‘..Gar?’

The three Titans turned to the shape-shifter, who looked pale and had his eyes wide open.

‘Umm.. Gar, are you okay?’ Dick questioned nervously.

No, I’m not. He wanted to say, but he couldn’t find the words. And neither is Raven.

Inside the fancy envelope was just a small note, written in her familiar sharp and neat handwriting.

“You DO deserve better than me. The world deserves someone better than me.”

Reacting to Legacies 3x03 (SPOILERS):

1. So ARE we FINALLY getting to some proper firstborn Mikaelson witch breakdowns?

2. Oh well, apparently no. They'll just try to wave it off as some one time thing probably.

3. So Hope and Landon are on a break. Okay. TBH watching them sass each other is interesting.

4. The guidance counselor is pretty much a compulsion monster, is that it? Well, I do like his wardrobe.

5. Alyssa's concern for MG is so fake I can't.

6. Nobody other than Jed read for Stefan? THE DISRESPECT.

7. Lizzie playing Caroline makes total sense but them asking Josie to play the lead without even an audition looks a bit bad TBH. Like, give the other interested people a chance, at least.

8. I find it a bit repetitive how there are mind-controlling monsters popping out again and again.

9. So MG is basically going through a phase similar to what Cami was going through when Klaus used to compel her at the beginning of TO. Considering Quincy's fondness for Cami, he must have liked playing that.

10. I understand that Landon is supposed to be a capable songwriter in-universe but it takes more than that to write and direct a musical and it's very weird that they didn't even find a guest star to pose as a Drama or English teacher who is guiding him or something. WHERE ARE ALL THE TEACHERS?

11. I kinda feel like some of the lead characters in this show are colour-coded. I see Hope and Landon in red and blue a lot (the two gowns we have seen Hope wearing also fall into this pattern) and Josie wears yellow in like, every other episode. If I recall correctly, Lizzie wears a lot of white, too. I wonder what the reasoning behind these choices are.

12. Well, I liked Hope and Landon's relationship in S1, I have no idea what was going on with it in S2, and I still don't know what to think about it.

13. Lizzie casts herself in Caroline's role and then chokes at rehearsal. Not totally unrealistic but still feels a bit forced to me. Would have been better if Landon cast her because she's Caroline's daughter and Lizzie was a bit apprehensive in the first place because she didn't want to mess up the role.

14. I appreciate the show taking a moment to talk about Lizzie's bipolar disorder though. It's been a while.

15. "Bonnie just disappears for long periods of time"? Dude, she's still super important and you're putting her in the play. Right? RIGHT?!

16. Landon, THANK YOU for pointing out how weird Caroline and Alaric's relationship was. The guy deadass got engaged to her and had a pissing contest over her with Stefan, that will never not gross me out.

17. So the monster is mind controlling Landon to put Klaus into the play. Saw this coming IG.

18. Hope is painting again, like her dad used to do when he felt things were going out of control. I've been rewatching TO and this is making me so emotional. I MISS KLAUS AND HIS SHENANIGANS. And not a single character on Legacies comes close to Klaus, Elijah and Hayley for me. (Sorry if this hurts anyone's feelings but Legacies really is a downgrade from TVD and TO)

19. Ugh, why would he use the contents of the letter as lyrics? Dude, is it because you're mind-controlled? No, I don't like this. Klaus loved Hope to the ends of the earth and wanted everyone to know but Hope wants to keep things private, and her wishes should have been respected.

20. So apparently Landon tries not to put Klaus' villainous antics into the show. Well, okay, it's definitely a copout but since he is Hope's boyfriend, makes sense. But I don't understand why the musical HAS TO BE about the Salvatore school. The accreditation excuse is lazy, writers! Also, Landon, my dude, Klaus was a major donor of the school. Put that in instead of the other things, stop pissing off your girlfriend FFS. Even if you're mind-controlled 🤦🏻‍♀️

21. I do find it funny how Landon is all gaga over Klaus' use of language though. The guy really did have the best lines, didn't he? (Tied with Elijah, I suppose, for me)

22. The other singers of the first song are really good so Kaylee sounds a bit rusty in comparison. Also, she reminds me too much of Dark!Josie with the hair and makeup. From a distance, she can be mistaken for Nina though.

23. I love that the backstage activities are being shown.

24. I'm digging Jed as Stefan and I really like his singing voice. And the Hero Hair wig cracked me up. Kaleb is obviously good at singing at it's nice to hear more from him. I also like how Chris Lee didn't try to exactly emulate Ian and played Damon how someone who has only heard about him might play him.

25. Is Hope painting herself before the pit or something? Or is this supposed to symbolize her despair at her parents' loss? ALSO, I WANT SOMEONE TO MENTION HAYLEY :( Why is Hayley so ignored?!

26. The same person probably wrote MG's notes and Caroline's letter IRL and therefore, in-universe, MG has Caroline's handwriting and it's funny to me.

27. Jenny sings well, I like it. I don't understand the song though, was Caroline actually ever feeling this insecure? I feel like the song became a lot more about Lizzie than her mother. (It's been forever since I watched TVD, if anyone has yet to guess, I prefer watching TO)

28. The doppelganger thing cracked me up.

29. Wait why did the monster attack Josie?! Ohhhh he's forcing Landon to improvise and put Klaus' song at the end. Well, I guess it makes it seem a bit less like Landon's fault. But would Hope know that?

30. It's hilarious how they lowkey make a call back to Nina leaving TVD and them having to put Elena in a sleep spell though.

31. Landon having a hissy fit is funny to me. Aria needs more comedic scenes.

32. Wait, where did Jade come from? Has she been in the school all these weeks?

33. While the scene seems a bit shabby to me, Klaus talking to Hope reminds me of their scene from TO 4X03. I needed more of Summer Fontana and Joseph Morgan together. Also, the donation did get mentioned, YASSSS. Man did some horrific things but he did fund the school so maybe a little less badmouthing in the presence of his daughter now that you know the story, eh, students?

34. The fact that the guidance counselor actually wore a leather jacket and a henley is cracking me up. It's really bizarre.

35. "Terrible painter" XD Klaus would have eaten you for saying that if he were alive.

36. Um, Hope, wouldn't you ask your family if you are doing enough to make your father proud, instead of this random bloke who supposedly met him once?! Maybe call Freya or Rebekah.

37. Why is this monster being nice to Hope? Doesn't it try to break people up or something? You'd think he'd try to piss her off even more and ruin her relationship with Landon.

38. Stefan was trying to be more like Damon by sacrificing himself? Um, what?

39. Well, this musical at least gave Stefan and Caroline a goodbye scene. I wonder how much the twins remember Stefan, must have been a bit emotional for Lizzie to play that. Jenny's singing was gooood, really liked it.

40. JED WAS GONNA KISS LIZZIE AND I WANTED IT TO HAPPEN. But a forehead kiss does work.

41. Hope's playing Elena now? What?

42. Ngl I want Hope and Jed to be friends. She needs more of a connection to her wolf side. Both of her parents wanted her to be surrounded by wolves and she's barely interacting with the wolves in this show, which always makes me sad.

43. So this monster can also do little spells and move physical objects eh? Whatever, this is random.

44. And this monster brings people back together? Why?

45. So when Hope is singing, is she doing it as Elena or Hope? She came on stage as Elena, but I thought the song is about Hope. So WHAT IS IT?

46. Oh Damon's on stage, so Hope is singing as Elena and it's a call back to the graveyard scene from the TVD finale.

47. Danielle sings pretty well. It's good she decided to perform this time.

48. Okay, that lifting up scene was adorable. I feel like Hope and Landon are at their cutest when they're a bit spontaneous. But she's Elena on stage and it lowkey looks like Landon crashed her romantic scene with Damon to kiss her so I'm cackling.

49. How much older is Jade supposed to be than Josie?

50. So is Josie going to leave the school for a while and that's why Ethan will be back in the picture?

51. Jade used to babysit Josie? Okay, it is hella awkward.

52. Josie why, don't do this, yikes. Kissing her once doesn't make it non-creepy.

53. The Sheriff feels kinda shoehorned to me. Also, I don't care for Matt Davis or his character.

54. So Candice did the voiceover for Caroline's letter. That's nice for the show. I still don't understand why the letter showed up in Hope's fireplace though LOL.

55. This episode should have spent more time exploring the aftermath of the loss of Rafael. The abrupt shift from the last episode wasn't nice.

56. Yeah, kids, talk out your problems, thanks.

57. I feel like Klaus is too much of a controversial figure that Hope's conflict about her father's reputation would be resolved in one day. This is feeling undercooked. Speaking of, when is one of Klaus' or Hayley's enemies coming after Hope, because she did inherit all of them. Would make for better storytelling than this monster of the week nonsense. And yeah, still no mention of Hayley, I hate this.

58. The monster's characterization was really odd to me and I am so tired of this format SMH.

59. So they toyed with MG for weeks to get a vampire for the spell? That sounds like too much effort. There are tons of vampires from Klaus and Rebekah's bloodline, they couldn't find another? Also, I wonder who is the wolf that they will use.

Well, I felt like this episode was mostly okay, but not that well-cooked or epic or whatever. What is horrific is that they didn't show Bonnie, though. They could have at least gotten a female black guest character who is one of the witch students or something. This is very offensive.

Also, I don't think it makes sense for the show to do any more musicals in the future. This ain't Riverdale.

It feels so weird saying that, though, because, as a young kid, I was SO QUIET, and I just started calling myself an introvert (because I was) and I kept calling myself that, even though my social skills kept growing and growing over the years, and after some recent reflection, I realize I’m actually very outgoing and I’m not an introvert anymore XD (I’m not an extravert either, I don’t think…. ambivert and proud, baby)

Cil glared at Sooga, leaning over to smack him on his shoulder.

“What did you do?”

“I think he’s exhausted by being near you.”

Kohga held his hands up again to shut everyone up, including these two idiots next to him.

“Okay, everyone shut up. We got big, big news. We have a pregnancy in the clan.”

That sent everyone into a FRENZY. A yiga getting pregnant was VERY rare, and to hear about it was a real, true blessing. Cil was joyous as well, being a firm believer in luck, but he had a feeling he wasn’t going to like just WHO it was.

“Did Sooga get some woman pregnant? Poor thing.”

“Cil.”

“Right right, you nearly piss yourself when you’re near a woman.”

Kohga shot Cil a glare, finally making him behave, for good. Kohga waved everyone to calm down, getting a headache from all this noise.

“Shut it. I get, you’re all excited! Now, I bet you’re all wonderin’ just who it is, yeah? Well, ya lookin’ at him.”

There was silence. Then very confused mumbles. Cil meanwhile, could do nothing but just. Stand there, gawking at his Master.

“Master Kohga...are you...saying you’re...?”

“Pregnant, yeah. Sooga got his stupid breeding kink, and now I’m knocked the hell up. I take it you all have questions?”

One member held his hand up, and Kohga nodded at him.

“Are you trans? Because if you are, that’s so cool.”

“I’m not, no. But I appreciate the support. No, long story short, we did it in a shrine, and because the Sheikahs are weird assholes, I’m pregnant.”

“And you’re going to KEEP it?”

Cil didn’t mean to speak out of turn, really he didn’t. Many members glared at him for such words, others murmured in agreement. Kohga shook his head, groaning.

“Yeah, yeah. I wasn’t planning to, originally. But, Sooga is gonna be there for me. So are all of you, am I right?”

He received very loud, very eager approval, which made Kohga chuckle. Cil however, could do nothing but...stand there, staring at his rotund belly. Kohga was going to give birth. To SOOGA’s young. The big, proud, stunning Master Kohga. To give birth to such unworthy spawn. Cil knelt down to Master Kohga as everyone else seemed to egg on a rather embarrassed Sooga.

“Master Kohga, are you sure?”

“Look just because you’re jealous-”

“It is not my jealousy. It is of HIS origins. He has the blood of a sheikah. Father, a sheikah. Mother? A sheikah. You are purely of Yiga lineage. Should mixing you both REALLY be allowed in this clan?”

Kohga glared at him, jabbing his finger into his chest. Not that Cil minded the contact.

“I respect you, Cil. You’ve been around longer than most. But this is MY choice. I’m gonna hate it, but I’m keeping these little bastards. Get it?”

“...Yes, my Master Kohga. So long as it is fully your consent, I have...no true qualms. May I apologize?”

“You may.”

Cil held onto his hand, and kissed the back of it. Higher ranking Yiga’s often did this for their master as a less formal apology. Cil loved apologizing, getting to feel the soft, nimble hands of his Master. It made him angry, seeing Sooga peel his hand away from his own lips.

“Excuse us, Cil. Master Kohga, let’s get you to bed. You look exhausted.”

“Ugh, finally. My feet are just killing me.”

“Here, let me carry you-”

“I hate how you carry me, your always does it wrong. You can rub my feet instead.”

“Yes, Master Kohga. Whatever you need. Excuse us, Cil.”

Cil watched longingly as Sooga took him away and back into their room. The second that door closed, he snarled, pushing whoever was in his way to make it to his own room. He slammed the door shut, locked it, and looked at his punching bag. After a day like this, he needed to punch that snide, crudely drawn face that was Sooga’s. He HATED that damn half blood.

Sonally Celebration, Year Three, Day Five: Fading

Sonally Celebration Week, Year 3, Day Five: Fade

Well Day Five is already upon us. Dang time flies XD. This day’s prompt had me mulling for a time, as it’s potential thematic resonance could align with the ideas I have for the final days; prompt theme. Outside of episode continuity (if I’m not deciding on a completely unrelated one shot like one episode from last year), I usually avoid theme overlaps unless they can make for a good two-parter, so I wanted Fade to be different from Rest. What am I talking about? Well, you’ll all see on day eight. ^_^

Day Five: Fade.

Foreword: This takes place one-to-three-ish years after Crossroads, and a return to the more domestic slice of life.

Two sets of feet march toward the couch in the spacious ‘living room’ area, where the two bodies belonging to said feet flop down onto the sofa with matching tired sighs. Each slide an arm around the other and lean in, cheek-to-cheek. Tired, bloodshot eyes meet, as a tired voice mutters. “Kathy and J.C. tucked in bed?”

“Check.”

“Monitor set-up if they wake up from a nightmare and need consoling?”

“Check, we have one of Nicole’s new A.I. ‘kids’ watching their room. If either J.C. or Kathy wake up, or both, they’ll help them unless they ask for us.”

“Us tired as all hell?”

After a beat, both sigh and utter. “Mega check!!” Groaning as she rolled to curl against Sonic, Sally sighed again. Her body and mind woefully tired from the day. “I love our angels, but they can be so exhausting.”

Grunting in agreement, Sonic gave her a squeeze from the arm around her waist. “Doesn’t help they’re both already getting the hang of their speedy-abilities. Is it wrong I’m wishing they didn’t inherit my speed now?” He really didn’t, (his pride soared when it was clear they had his speed). However moments like these, he was considering how nice it would be for them to not have his super speed would be? Or the speed simply kicked in at puberty… or would that be worse?

“We wish it weren’t so today, but we’ll change tunes when that speed is sorely needed for them.” Muttered Sally, sharing his thoughts, but her ever-present pragmatism won out over in-the-moment whimsy. A thin smile emerged from her tired expression. “That said, I'm rather proud that they’re starting to understand that running around the palace is a no-no. Starting to, being the key word.”

That elicited a chuckle from Sonic as he smiled back and made a pleased sound as she moved her hand up his back to rub the back of his neck. He leaned against the fingers rubbing the sore area that had bothered him most of the day. “Maybe we’ll be lucky and that early maturity you had will kick in.”

“Mmm, I’m sensing a ‘but’ somewhere in there my love.” She murmured, making her own soft ‘murring’ as Sonic began to return the neck rub after moving his hand from around her waist to her neck. “Out with it Sonic.”

“Heh, got me pegged huh? Weeeell, you were mature for your age, but I don’t want our kids to be fun-kill-joys either.”

“I was a fun-kill-joy?” She raised an eyebrow, applying a bit more pressure to the spot where neck and shoulder met, causing Sonic to yelp and twinge from the application of pressure. “I call it knowing some of the stuff you wanted to do would wind us in trouble.”

“H-hey, heeeeeeeey, you had your moments of sly ideas that did just that!” He wiggled to avoid her grip, now shifting his hand back to her side, but with tickling intent as his fingers shifted and wiggled about.

Snerking, and then breaking into several laughs, Sally let go, and squirmed. “Pffft- n-no fair! T-two can play!” It was one and Sally sat up and pounced her husband, pinning him to the couch and letting her fingers fly over his body. Grinning widely, as tiredness gave way to playful-energy, Sally enjoyed herself thoroughly as she watched Sonic, her beloved, start to wiggle and laugh from her efforts.

“Hahaha, ahaha! C-crap Sal, you wanna throw d-d-down don’t you?” His emerald eyes gleam as the same burst of energy giving Sally a second wind coursed through him. Wiggling his fingers, his hands moved to strike; and with his super-speed applied: naturally he was able to cover more ground, much faster. As laughter erupted from Sally and she writhed and squirmed, his glee intensified. “You were saying Sal-MMPFFH?” Sonic’s boast was cut off as Sally mashed her mouth to his. The surprise kiss threw him off, but only briefly. Letting out a low, needy moan, Sonic ceased tickling Sally and proceeded to wrap his arms around her, pulling her closer as their kiss intensified.

A low, purr-like sound uttered from Sally’s throat, muffled as her lips were still thoroughly mashed against her husband’s. The squirrel-chipmunk hybrid rubbed herself against him. Ruling a kingdom, being a loving-attentive spouse, and a parent was a tall order. They made it work; but quality, private time became more of a premium. Even tired as Sally felt, the burning need to feel Sonic’s loving embrace and ‘skilled hands’ hit her like a freight train. How long had it been since they last had a moment like this? Actually feeling the urge, the need to make love? Maybe that was why, but truly who cared what the exact reason was? The moment was here, seizing it was key.

As the kiss broke, Sally’s breath hitched as Sonic’s mouth trailed down to her neck, and his hands rested on her posterior, before one hand grasped at her tail, which had been wiggling quite giddily as if to entice him. “S-Sonic, bedroom-ngh..”

“Why not here?” He murred against her neck, giving her a squeeze with both hands.

She licked his ear and nipped at the tip, whispering in a throaty voice. “I don’t want a repeat of last time; bedroom, door locked, you, me, on the bed, no clothes, ‘now’!”

Instead of his usual snappy retorts, Sonic processed her request, recalling ‘last time’ and only a big blanket prevented a truly awkward moment when one of the children woke up in the middle of the night. Hands move to scoop Sally up like the old days as he got off the sofa with her. It was a break of the rules, but he used a very-very small burst of his super-speed to zip to their room. His foot pushed the door closed, while Sally quickly hit the lock mechanism on the doorknob. A quick toss sent Sally onto the bed, and Sonic quickly joining her, both eagerly helping the other disrobe.

Once their bodily and spirit-rejuvenating needs were met, Sonic and Sally lay on the bed, tangled together. As they tried to catch their breath, each would out of parental-paranoia, check the monitor to the kid’s bedroom. No notifications, which meant the kids hadn’t woken up even once to go to the bathroom. A good sign they were sleeping through the night without ‘nightly accidents’ occurring. Even after a quick (for them) bout of love-making, being a parent never strayed from their minds.

Satisfied they didn’t need to redress soon, and attend to any nightly needs, the two sigh in content bliss. “It goes without saying Sal, we ‘needed’ that.”

“Mmm-hmmm.” She practically purred as she nuzzled against his upper chest as she draped over him partially. “Still got it.” She smirked, trailing a finger in a circle around the circular belly-fur of her husband.

“Ha, boy howdy!” Cackled Sonic as he lifted a hand tiredly for a high-five, which Sally gladly reciprocated. “Whoever said after 30 your love-life with kids dries up is an F’ing idiot.”

“Clearly someone who didn’t have a successful romance with their marriage.” Mused Sally, before a yawn tore from her throat. Curling into Sonic’s side, and pulling the covers over them. Sally felt the siren song of sleep, and was ready to greet it. “We should sleep while we can.”

Yawning himself, Sonic slipped an arm around Sonic, planting a kiss to her forehead, he twisted his body to better meet her own as they got comfortable. “Yeah, g’night Sal, love ya.”

“Love you too Sonic, *yawn* sleep well.” As another yawn left her, Sally closed her listening to Sonic’s heart-beat, and breathing. She could tell he was already out from the sounds he made, he didn’t snore, not really or fully. His breathing just became more ‘free’ if such a word could describe it. His heartbeat also steadied, still paced but clearly at ease. Such a rhythm helped her slowly fade from consciousness and soon, the warm embrace of sleep took Sally. Leaving only the sounds of both Sonic and her own breathing filling the darkness of their bedroom.

Fandoms: The Old Guard and Spartacus and (how far back am I supposed to go??? Just ones I currently write for??? or... through my AO3 page? You couldn’t pay me to dig up the SPN and Glee on my FF.net account...) Star Wars, Stranger Things, and the Steve Rogers Cinematic Universe.

Two shot: I have several. I love a two shot, they’re the happiest medium between the commitment of a super detailed long fic and the instant gratification of a oneshot. My most popular two shot of 2020 was Sono Qui-- and I love her. I love her so so much. I haven’t written a two shot in 2021 yet.

Most popular multi-chapter: I feel like it should be an Old Guard fic, but it’s not haha for 2020 or 2021! Gaining Heart is, by a huge margin, my most popular (and ONLY) long fic in 2021. We’ll see how long it takes for Color and Light to eclipse that, but I do love this little story. Very proud of her. She’s the longest story I’ve written since I wrote The Kes Verse.

For 2020, in a surprise to no one but me, who forgot The Kes Verse was written in 2020 and not a MILLION YEARS AGO-- is Love Will Help You Heal. The first of 5 stories in The Kes Verse. My beloved Star Wars series, I will finish you one day!!! I owe so much to this story, and I will always love her.

Actual worst part of writing: There is, without fail, a time in writing any long fic, where I’m in the middle of writing and then convince myself that not only is it just bad, but it’s bad because my characters have warped throughout my chapters and now they are completely unrecognizable from who they were at the start. It is... the worst. And I have to go back and reread every single chapter, EVEN THOUGH I have outlines for every single chapter with character development and mapped out their development in all their color-coded glory. I still have to reread my entire story up until that point-- AGAIN.

It’s very tiring. I could so easily just reread my outline, but OCD says No. You must agonize over how many times you’ve used the word Gut, and decide that that makes your character OOC somehow. (????)

How you choose your titles: I usually have it figured out by the end of the story if it’s a one shot, or had it planned from the time I finished the outline for a long fic. It’s almost always something a main character says in the story that illustrates the Thesis of The Piece. Sometimes, it’s named after the line in the showtune that inspired it (there is ALMOST ALWAYS a showtune that inspired it).

Do you outline: Girl. My theydies. DO i OUTLINE? The amount of outlining and re-outlining is ridiculous. Did you miss the color-coding? Sometimes, I beat this dead horse so much just with the outline that I’m burnt out by the time I try to start the story, and then it never gets done. I have a graveyard of notebooks.

Ideas I probably won’t get around to but it would be nice: I have a graveyard of notebooks.

Callouts @ me: Why does everything need to be outlined and world-built and plotted as a ten-part series??? You will never finish that, you dumb bitch!!!

Best writing traits: Everything has a purpose. My themes have themes, my characters always have an arc-- even if it’s 2k of PWP, there is a NARRATIVE. Even if it’s to strategically make one or two things “not that deep”, they always have a reason to be there.

Spicy tangential opinion: lol mutuals can DM me if they wanna hear me get salty. I’m not bleeding into the fandom shark tank.

Hello, I really like your writing. I read them everyday and can't wait for the next one. :) If this hasn't been done yet could you do a headcanon about a clumsy MC and how the main six would react. They trip, knock over stuff, accidentally hit things and hurt themselfs XD stuff like that. Thank you in advance.

The main six with a clumsy Mc

Asra

Asra isn’t clumsy, but he’s not the most observant. There are times when he’ll be day dreaming and walking and walk smack- right into a wall. And he has dropped mugs and tea glasses after hearing some really exiting news, so he understands To an extent

He thinks it’s adorable. Even if you break something super expensive or rare, sure he’ll be a little pissed about it I mean who wouldn’t, but he will cool down because he knows it was just an accident. Plus everything you do is adorable so there’s no was he can stay mad at you for long.

He does get super worried about you hurting youself though. He doesn’t want to use his magick to heal you all the time because that is super dangerous and can mess up your body, so unless it’s something really bad, he’ll give your bruise a kiss instead. And lots of extra cuddles just for extra measures.

Nadia

She. Is. Not. Clumsy. Nope. Not at all. Not one bit. Yes slip ups and such do happen, but she’s not the clumsy sort. It’s partially due to her genetics, and also how she was raised. (She was is a princess ya’know) but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t find clumsy people cute.

She doesn’t mind that your clumsy. Not one bit. No one can help their clumsiness. And she doesn’t mind if you break any thing expensive. Because they’re just objects that can be replaced, but you on the other hand are irreplaceable. (She does encourage you to spend some extra time in Lucios wing though)

As cute and endearing she finds your clumsiness, she gets very worried about you hurting yourself, and she is incredibly anxious about taking you horse back riding with her because heavens forbid you fall off the horse and hurt yourself bad.

Julian

I headcanon as the clumsiest out of the main six, lucio and Portia are tied for second place, so take that as you will. Anyhow you two are both walking disasters. And if your clumsiness some how surpasses julian’s.....then you might just be the clumsiest person alive.

Julian is constantly breaking things, and knocking things over, so he has absolutely no room to make fun or get mad at you for doing the same thing. And even if he didn’t constantly knock stuff over, him getting mad at you for something like that is not who he is. He’s too nice.

As for you constantly banging your self up....well your in luck because your boyfriend/husband is a doctor. He’ll treat any bruise no matter how small, or how big, of without lecturing you of course, then banging his head on the door frame while he leave the room to get more ice.

Portia

Like I stated before she’s tied in second place in the ‘clumsiest our of the main six’ ranking, so she understands you loud and clear. There have been times where she wasn’t paying attention and dropped something or ran into some one (looks directly into camera) so you’re fine, really

Like really don’t worry about a thing, she understands. She can always just make another one, don’t worry about accidently breaking something, besides pepi breaks stuff all the time, it’s one hundred percent aye-okay. She will never, ever get mad at you.

But the fact that you often hurt yourself is concerning. She started to keep a first aid kit on hand at all times, just in case something bad were to happen, that way she can keep her panicking to a minimum and patch you up ASAP.

Muriel

You’re weird. Muriel also isn’t clumsy. The man has a lot of anxiety and ptsd, not to say you can’t be clumsy with these mental disorders, what I’m trying to say is Muriel thinks and calculates his actions far too much for him to be clumsy. It’s only after you’ve been together for years, and he’s finally comfortable with people does his clumsiness show.

He doesn’t have much to break at first, so there’s no need to worry, just please for the love of god don’t touch anything in public. If you want to buy something he’ll hold it for you. And if you bump into something and break it, Muriel will tell you to pay for it if you can, but if you can’t.....all then....you better start running.

You worry him so much. He hates seeing you bruised and hurt, and he hates it even more knowing you can’t help it. If you laugh it off most days, he feels a little more relived, but that still doesnt change the fact that he doesn’t like seeing you covered in bruises.

Lucio

He’s clumsy....in his own......lucio....way..... He breaks stuff accidentally, and has slipped and tripped more times than he’s willing to admit, but you’re going to have to pry that information out of him, unless he tells you to make you feel better about you being clumsy if your insecure about it.

If you break something don’t worry about it, it’s replaced in no time. And if you break something at the market, he’ll reluctantly buy it, putting up a minimum fight. But if you break something that’s important to him.....just give him a minute or two to calm down.

Scars are something lucio is proud of, it’s status of a warrior in his book, so if you ever get a scar or a bruise from something, as long as your okay, Lucios more than happy, and if any one asks about it, he’ll make up some dramatic story about it, to make you ‘feel less embarrassed’

Ahhhh I’m really tired, and I’m having a bad mental health night so I hope this is okay, and if you need me to fix anything lmk! In the meantime you can find my masterlist here!

I’m not one to compliment myself on anything honestly. Recently I remember thinking about how I barely drew anything this year. There was a part of my brain nagging at me to check how much I had drawn last year. So, I uh did. Turns out I drew basically nothing?! I triple checked this in fact. My DeviantART, Tumblr AND my camera roll. Nothing . . . I drew 5 very basic pinback button designs and that was it. I couldn’t believe it; but, it made be feel so much better about what I did this year. Basically my whole instagram is all artwork from this year, since I am actually really new to IG. I got super close to 40 works this year!

Now onto the works! They are in order of when I drew them 😊

Glimmer Inspired Patterns

I wanted to teach myself how to make patterns on Clip Studio so bad! I watched a couple of YT tutorials, and I can’t even remember why I decided to make She-ra ones specifically; I’m glad I did though! The Glimmer one means so much to me. Just looking at makes me so happy! The fact that so many people have now called it ‘aesthetically pleasing’ makes me feel as though I actually created a work that others could relate to. That was enough praise for me; to create something for myself that everyone else loved as well 💖

Glimbow Cuddle

This was my first real She-ra artwork. When I saw there was a Glimbow Week again I knew I had to join this one. I don’t know if anyone knows this; but, drawings take me forever to make. I used to be strictly a traditional artist and still prefer to draw rough drafts on paper. I couldn’t decide if I wanted them on Glimmer’s window seat or in Bow’s dads’ library. I was afraid of doing backgrounds; so, both sounded absolutely terrifying. I decided to go for the fireplace even if it meant fancy lighting on top of the background aspect. I think I actually spent more time on the lighting that’s hitting Bow than on anything else in this picture. It was worth it though. I studied how the show did backgrounds and lighting for a while. I tried so many different attempts at how I wanted it to look and ultimately went with this one! I love it so much 🥺

Bow’s list with doodles

Ah, yes the drawings I did for Tippen’s birthday!! I knew I wanted to draw a scene from ‘Tuna Cans’, but I was worried to try something like this. You see, I’m somebody that likes to stay in a comfort zone and only uploaded fully rendered perfect artworks. This year was the first time that I let the ‘fun’ aspect overrule my perfectionism. I’m so happy that I stepped out of my comfort zone for this, because I love Chibi styles so much. I can’t even explain the absolute joy I had drawing these. I didn’t tell anyone what I was up to, so it was just me laughing at myself for being an absolute goofball. The end result and everyone’s reactions were more than I could have ever expected. I’ve decided I’m going to revive this style soon as well so please look forwards to it!!

Space Suit Squad

Okay, so I cheated a little with this one! I couldn’t just pick ONE of the squad. Honestly though, I drew these with the thought of making them into prints in the back of my mind. I taught myself how to draw a space background and I’m really proud of it! So much in fact that the one in the final pictures is the first and last one I ended up doing! If I had to pick my favorites I think I’d have to pick Glimmer, Bow and then Catra. I LOVE the way I draw Catra I don’t know why? Maybe the eyebrows I’m not sure 🤔 It took me a while to decide on expressions and poses; although, I figured these were the ones because I could look at them and go ‘yep that’s them.’

Winter Glimbow

This one took me soooo long; I actually had to tell myself that I should put my pen down because it was done and I should stop touching it!!! I was sketching pictures in my sketchbook to make more patterns for my Redbubble account, and of course I’m like 100% Glimbow brainrot. My brain went, oooo you know what would be cute? If this skate was actually Bow’s and not just generic. So, I ended up sketching Glimmer’s as well. The heart that their skates make is like the cherry on the top for me, it had to be done! I’m not sure I did the background justice on this one? It doesn’t matter to me though because the concept was worth the effort. It was snowing here and I needed this picture like I needed air, even if it wasn’t even December at the time I posted it 🤣 I liked this one so much that I have similar ideas for the other seasons sketched out as well 👀

I’m sorry that I ramble so often. I’m like this quiet person; yet, it’s hard for me to get out everything I want to say? I’m horrible at it actually my brain runs at a hundred miles a minute and I’m not good with words most of the time. This turned out as more of a thought process than my actual feelings on each one I suppose. SO, in conclusion. I drew A LOT, I stepped out of my comfort zone, taught myself digital art and patterns. I let myself come to terms with the fact that not every piece of art has to be ‘perfect’. I drew at least 5 FULL backgrounds and I never used to draw them! I’ve also always been one for simple shading and lighting, and I do think there’s a time for that type of style, while other times sometimes a more difficult one might be appropriate. I’m glad that I did both because now I know I can do both, and they each give a characteristic that I adore 🥰 Thank you to everyone that has followed me through this journey, or just anyone who read my rambling! I have an honorable mention under the cut and some originals for anyone that made it this far! 💖

I’m not going to tag anyone; but, if you want to do this PLEASE do it. It was so great to reflect on what I did this year, it really surprised me and I think what you have done will surprise you as well! Another picture where I really tested myself on drawing a background! I love it even if it killed my hand!! The background definitely took the longest on this one too. My sister literally said ‘Wait, you did the background? I thought you just drew her?!’ And that was the only validation I needed!! I ended up thinning out Glimmer’s outline so she matched the background better. If you use the vectors on Clip please use this feature! You can do the opposite as well, it’s super useful!

Oh hi! Remember when I said I couldn’t decide between the two locations? Truth is, I also couldn’t decide if I was going to make it traditional or digital. I ended up getting really mad at the traditional version unfortunately. I haven’t gotten the hang of traditional backgrounds. In the end, I should have also done it in Copic and not cheap pencil crayons 😫

Just some space friends! There is something so rewarding about traditional art. Yes, I can see the mistakes and the proportions are most likely off; yet, it doesn’t bother me? I wanted to also show these bonus drawings because nobody is perfect and I thought some of you might like to see some of my process. Being able to hold it in my hands is something I will never tire of, in a way it’s super rewarding. I keep all my art actually and sometimes I like the rough drafts more than the finished work 👀 Outlining artwork can actually ruin the charm every so often 😔 I do really love the final versions of these though!

Annnnnd the last bonus!! As you can tell the final version stayed pretty true to my sketches! I almost went with a more realistic look and made the symbols ‘stitched’ onto the skates. In the end it felt like it didn’t fit the rest of the drawing unless I wanted to add extra details to the clothing as well. The wings on Glimmer’s skates turned into ‘Shwings’ PLEASE tell me other people know what that is? I had a pair a few years ago and misplaced them. I was doing the rough draft and it popped into brain and I treated it as a joke at first, until I gave it a proper chance XD In the end I fell in love with it!!!
