I know these politicians and IDF tik tokers are deeply unhinged because the higher ups have flat out told them to stop saying stuff like this/making sadistic videos especially in light of the South Africa case…but they still can’t help themselves.

Trump’s ‘Truth Social’ Facing Grave Financial Issues
Tumblr media
Former president Donald Trump’s “Truth Social” website is in serious financial difficulty as its traffic is dwindling and the company scheduled to acquire it expresses fear that Trump’s legal problems could lead to a big decline in his popularity.  In addition, the company’s financial base has begun to erode, and it stopped paying its conservative web-hosting service RightForge back in March, meaning it now owes RightForge more than $1 million.  Payment disputes and a dwindling audience are fueling doubts about whether the former president’s Twitter clone can survive.
What?  Trump is behind a failed business?  Say it isn’t so!  I just don’t get it; they had such a solid business model - using dark money provided by international crooks, shysters, and arms merchants - to finance a place where half-wits, conspiracy theorists, white supremacists, and other crackpots can gather to tell each other outrageous lies, spread hate, and defend the indefensible.  Now, please explain how something so foolproof could possibly fail.  How sad!  Why, after I told all my friends about it, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.  Of course, many of them were heavily medicated.
Honestly, I just don’t get it.  Why, Trump even hired a California congressman and dairy farmer named Devin Nunes to run the show.  That’s because as everyone knows - behind every successful media & technology company, there have to be dairy cows.  It’s just that simple.  So, traffic on the site is also weak?  Frankly, it sounds like a lot of hard-core MAGA “patriots” have spun so far to the right that Trump may now be way too liberal for them.  In fact, in some circles, Trump is now considered a “TINO” - which means “Trump In Name Only.”
Frankly, I find it rather hard to believe someone could fail at this, selling “pure BS” to Americans - when we seem to have such an endless appetite for it.  Gee, if only they could figure out a way to launder foreign drug money that might help…oh, wait!  Oh well, guess this venture will soon join Trump’s other failures - like Trump casinos, Trump University, Trump Airlines, Trump Vodka, Trump Charities, and Trump Steaks.  I guess the only question left now is - when Trump finally croaks, where will his carcass be displayed - in the Capitol Rotunda, or in the cafeteria at Mar-a-Lago?

Social transition being seen (by some) as this super easy thing that isn't as hard as real transitioning (medical) is bullshit. Be critical of the idea that there are some trans people who just "have it easy" because they are trans or because they are trans in ways you may not be.
Social transition is just as difficult, hard, and rewarding as medical transition. Maybe it is not as hard for some, sure, but that is not the same as thinking that social transition is inherently easier or lesser. If you're socially transitioning, your voice still matters.
#trans#transgender#lgbt#lgbtq#ftm#mtf#nonbinary#not to mention that so many people DO want to medically transition but *can't*#so it can be even harder for some when they feel social transition is their only option when they don't want it to be#but social transition carries its own risks and challenges and again rewards#and i've seen this idea plenty where it's like 'oh you don't GET my struggles because you're SOCIALLY transitioning'#and while yes i am different than some trans people to say i'm struggling *more* if i'm the only one medically transitioning is??? huh????#i don't buy into this idea that social transition is never scary because you don't have the boot of the medical system on your back#(though non-med or pre-med transitioning people still face issues in medical settings so even THEN we aren't seperate)#like there's very few ways you can separate my issues as a medically-transitioning person and the issues of somebody who isn't...#...and by that i mean there's few ways you can separate our issues so that mine trumps theirs or that i'm seen as like... trans but More#does that make sense?#medical transitioning is important but that doesn't mean it is *more* important or that only *it* is important#you can support us who are medically transitioning without erasing the experiences and struggles of other trans people#and plus... so many of us who are medically transitioning NOW are the people who socially transitioned THEN#and dare i say i despised social transition more because of how hard it was? medical transition has been (more or less) easier...#...in that i can just *be* now

Social Security and Medicare might not be important to you, but I guarantee it's important to someone you know, whether it's your parents, or grandparents, or friends... someone you know relies on that money. Plus, you're paying into those programs with every pay check. That's your money. You will never get that money back.

Yoel Roth, PhD used to be in charge of the trust and safety team at Twitter. This is a must-read article to better understand how the far right is attacking anyone who wants to guard against disinformation being shared on social media. Consequently, the link above is a gift 🎁 link, so anyone can read the entire article, even if they do not subscribe to the NY Times.
Below are some excerpts:
When I worked at Twitter, I led the team that placed a fact-checking label on one of Donald Trump’s tweets for the first time. Following the violence of Jan. 6, I helped make the call to ban his account from Twitter altogether. Nothing prepared me for what would happen next. Backed by fans on social media, Mr. Trump publicly attacked me. Two years later, following his acquisition of Twitter and after I resigned my role as the company’s head of trust and safety, Elon Musk added fuel to the fire. I’ve lived with armed guards outside my home and have had to upend my family, go into hiding for months and repeatedly move. This isn’t a story I relish revisiting. But I’ve learned that what happened to me wasn’t an accident. It wasn’t just personal vindictiveness or “cancel culture.” It was a strategy — one that affects not just targeted individuals like me, but all of us, as it is rapidly changing what we see online. Private individuals — from academic researchers to employees of tech companies — are increasingly the targets of lawsuits, congressional hearings and vicious online attacks. These efforts, staged largely by the right, are having their desired effect: Universities are cutting back on efforts to quantify abusive and misleading information spreading online. Social media companies are shying away from making the kind of difficult decisions my team did when we intervened against Mr. Trump’s lies about the 2020 election. Platforms had finally begun taking these risks seriously only after the 2016 election. Now, faced with the prospect of disproportionate attacks on their employees, companies seem increasingly reluctant to make controversial decisions, letting misinformation and abuse fester in order to avoid provoking public retaliation.
I encourage you to use the gift link above and read the entire article. It is worth your time.
