Jan 3 is the Feast of St Geneviève. This full-page miniature depicting Saint Geneviève on a leaf pulled from a book of hours. A contemporary of Clovis and Attila, and later the patron saint of Paris, Geneviève († 512 CE) is painted holding a large lit candle, one of her attributes. A demon, with a breath, extinguishes the flame that is immediately rekindled. According to her legend, Geneviève, with her companions, visit at night the construction site of the Basilica of Saint-Denis that she has built when the wind extinguishes the candle that lights the path of the small group. Geneviève then takes in her hand the candle that miraculously lights up and its flame will withstand all the storms. This isolated fragment comes from a manuscript made around 1510 in Tours by Maître Claude de France. Bibliothèque de l'École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris, Mn. Mas 95

Howdy: “take this…little man OUT of my store”

He hands Wally over like he’s a sack of potatoes. Holding him by the back of his shirt. Wally is far more lethargic than normal, his hair is a mess, he’s groaning, and there is a visible lump in his stomach.

Barnaby: “what happened!?”

Barnaby scoops Wally up in his arms with a worried expression.

Howdy: “he wanted apples!….so I gave him….apples”

Howdy’s tone turns rather cold. He glares at Wally as he says this. Howdy then clears his throat and pulls out a wonderful red delicious apple. He thrusts it towards Wally. Wally’s eyes widen and he makes a fearful whine before burying his face in Barnaby’s chest.

Howdy: “HAHAHAHAHAH YES!!! IT’S FINALY OVER!!! IT WORKS!!”

Howdy breaks down into manic laughter at this. Barnaby clutches Wally to his chest and starts backing away.

Barnaby: “ooook. It’s time for us to go and it’s time for you to take a break Howdy”
